SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Faith and Authority. What is great faith? So join me in our live service for the continuation of this message. Faith and Authority. What is great faith? So they’re not giving credit or value to what God’s word said because the doctor said. And so then they are not believing the authority of God’s word. They’re not believing that God’s word is actually carrying greater weight than the weight of the doctor’s word. But it does. God’s word carries greater weight than the weight of the doctor. But if you don’t believe it, I’ve said this before. You’ve got in your hand two reports and whose report will you believe? You’ve got the doctor’s report in one hand and God’s word in the other. You are literally standing in between them in the middle. This is literal on every choice you make of what you’re going to believe. You have a choice. I can either believe what the doctor says. I can believe the physical circumstance. I can believe what I see or I can believe what God said. And I’m in the middle. And at that moment, whatever way I choose to believe, believing is always a choice. Some people say, I can’t believe that. That’s a lie. You can believe anything you want. If you wanted to, you could believe the sky is green, the grass is purple. You know, you could believe what you want to believe. You can make up your mind to believe it. You can believe you’re an astronaut if you want. So you can believe anything. It’s a lie to say you can’t believe. It’s what do you choose to believe. And if you lean to believing the doctor more than the word of God, then whatever you agree with, let me say it like that. You agree, you add agreement to Your agreement to the doctor, that’s what you get. But if you add your agreement to God’s word, that’s what you get. Because where two or more agree is touching anything they ask, they have what they ask. And if you agree with the doctor’s report, you’re agreeing, and there’s two of you agreeing, and that’s what you’re going to have. You’re going to end up with that cancer or whatever it is. But if you agree with God’s word that says by his stripes you’re healed, you are now set yourself in agreement with that, two of you agreeing on it, you and God, That’s all you need. You and God agreeing on it, then that’s what you’re going to have. So you will have whatever way you lean. You lean to the things you see and feel. You’ll have it. But if you lean to what God says in God’s word and God’s promises, and that means continually casting down any contradicting thoughts and ignoring what you see and feel. You have to ignore it. I mean, because it could be those symptoms are obvious. It could be that your face is plastered with marks or something, you know, and you can’t look in the mirror without seeing it, but you got to ignore that. Remember Abraham in Romans chapter four, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, but he believed the promise in Romans chapter four. Romans chapter 4, verse 19. Without weakening in his faith, he, Abraham, faced the fact that his body was as good as dead since he was about 100 years old and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Verse 20. Yet he did not waver. Another way to understand this is the fact versus truth principle. Facts are correct at the moment, but they can change. Truth never changes. For example, it is now evening and it’s getting dark outside. That is a fact. But it’s going to change because in about 12 hours it’ll be morning and it’ll be light. You see? And then the facts are different. Right now it’s not raining. That’s a fact. But when it starts to rain, the facts change and it’s raining. The time of day is a fact. The date on the calendar is a fact. But a few hours from now, you turn the calendar and it’ll be a different day. Right now, it’s Saturday. That’s a fact. In a few hours, it’ll be Sunday. So facts are correct for the moment, but they’re changeable. They are temporarily correct, but they’re always changing. They’re correct right now for the moment, but they’re changing. But truth, and Jesus said in John 17 to the father in his prayer, your word is truth. Truth never changes. Truth is eternal. Jesus said in John 17, John 17, 17, sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth. Your word is truth. And then, you know, he said elsewhere that heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. So truth is eternal. Truth doesn’t change. Truth is correct now and forever. For example, two plus two equals four. Is that going to change tomorrow? Is 2 plus 2 equals 4 going to change? No. So that’s not only a fact, that is also truth. 2 plus 2 equals 4, that’s going to be eternal. I don’t think God is going to change the multiplication table. It’s eternal, I believe. It’s always the same now for us anyway. Unless there’s some other realm somewhere else where it’s a little different. But in this realm, it’s always the same. So it’s truth. Well, God’s word is truth, and that means it’s eternal. And what is eternal never changes, but facts do change. Facts are temporary, changing moment by moment. So it’s obvious then you should be able to see that truth is more powerful than fact. Truths override fact. Or you could say it like this, truth trumps fact. It always trumps fact. Truth will always trump the fact. It overrides the fact because it can change the facts because facts are changeable, but truth can’t be changed. So by his stripes, you were healed. That cannot be changed. That’s an eternal truth. If you’ll add your faith to it, it will change the fact of any current situation in your body. The body has to change. Hallelujah. Amen. Because the truth will trump the fact and it will change the fact and line it up with the truth. And it’ll become, if you don’t quit and keep believing it, it’ll happen. The facts then will line up with the truth and you will see it. Hallelujah. Amen. Praise God. Praise God. So he faced the fact that was back in Romans four. So he recognized there was a difference between, I don’t know if he necessarily had the interpretation of differentiating truth and fact, but he practiced it. He did it. He separated them. Romans 4, 19, without weakening in his faith. Now, this is in the NIV. Some translations might say it different. He faced the fact that his body was as good as dead. Okay, that doesn’t matter. That’s a fact. That’s changeable. Verse 20, yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God. So he believed the promise was greater than any fact that he saw in his body. He did not waver regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God. Verse 21, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. So he was fully persuaded and he did not waver regarding the promise. So he believed the promise was greater than the fact. And that’s what we do. And then the facts change. Then the facts change. They have to because the truth of God’s promises will always come to pass when we believe them. Amen. Amen. So that is having faith in the authority of God’s word. Then you also have to have faith in the name of Jesus. And that’s another lesson I’ve taught that on the radio. And I don’t want to take time, but I’ll remind you, I guess, quickly that in Acts chapter three, remember at the beautiful gate, Peter and John went at the hour of prayer at three in the afternoon. And there was a lame man sitting there had been lame from birth. And Peter said to him, silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk. And the man leaped to his feet and went running and leaping through the temple courts. And the people stood by amazed. And then Peter answered them, why are you standing so amazed as though by our power we made this man walk? He said it was by faith in the name of Jesus that made this man walk, whom you see here today. And it was faith in the name of Jesus. Faith in the name of Jesus. So then that comes back to the third area. We have faith in the name of Jesus. But then number three, we have to have faith in our own authority. Faith in our own authority. And that is that you have the authority to speak God’s word. Authority of his word. You have authority to use the name of Jesus. Jesus said in John chapter 14. John 14 verses 13 and 14. And I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the son may bring glory to the father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it. So what did he do? He really gave them the authority to use his name. And going back to Peter in Acts chapter three, think about that. Peter said, what I have, I give you. Well, what did he have? The name of Jesus. He had the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus. Get up and walk. So we have to have faith in God’s word and that we have the authority to speak his word. We also have to have faith in his word and faith in his name, faith in his word, faith in his name, and that we have the authority to speak his word. We have authority to speak his name. And then we also have authority to command other things. And so let’s go to Genesis chapter 1, verse 26. Genesis 1, 26 says, Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule. That is, have dominion, authority. over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the ground or the creeping things on the ground.
