Welcome to Call to Freedom. Oh, my friend, God cannot break a single promise he’s made to you. Every one of them was written to bless you. God’s already blessed. He’s giving his promises for you. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the Lord is flawless, a shield for all who take refuge in him. And that’s from 2 Samuel 22 verse 31. One of David’s wonderful prayers to God. We’re going to be talking about that and praying today because there’s so much going on right now in our world in the United States and overseas that we need to really be people of prayer. And maybe you’ve thought about prayer for a long time but it just hasn’t gotten into your heart that you need to do that. So we’re going to be talking a little bit about that today and I’m so glad Kimberly is with me again. It’s so good to have you join me. We were kind of playing hooky yesterday. Oh, so the show that was repeated, the program that was repeated had prayers in it. Yes. So I’m kind of bouncing off of that and into this whole wanting the to do list and and dancing the Damascus was just talking about that if you heard that. The to do list that God would have us do. What is your to do list look like during the day and we want to include more prayer. That’s right. So before we get into that, I’ve got some things to tell you and explain to you. You are blessed to dispense. I’m not going to forget that act 1728 in him you live and move and have your being. And you can always go to the website to the donate button if you want to donate online. This weekend I am getting a new website set up and a new webmaster. We’re just renovating the website. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, pray. They will pray. And will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their lands? And one victory report I would like to say today is that by a 4-3 vote, the Colorado, yes, Colorado Supreme Court has vindicated Jack Phillips one more time. And I pray that this is the end of the harassment and the persecution of that dear man for the last 13-14 years. Yes, Jack Phillips is the owner of Masterpiece Cakes and he has been in the court. I think this has been 12 years that he has been persecuted. So it is really good to hear about his victory. Yes, it really is. So praise the Lord. Those of you who have prayed for Jack Phillips, it has happened. And even our liberal court system has proven him to be innocent of the charges. Praise the Lord. And I have a voting guide that I can send to you. I will repeat again. It’s so vital. And as we prophesy that Colorado will one day become red because Colorado means red state. So I’m believing. I’m believing that it will one day be red again as far as the politics goes. So plan ahead where you will cast your ballot when you get that ballot in the mail and when you get it, fill it out and take it to a precinct near you. Go with a friend or relative, but cast your vote even though you may be alone. And pray, this is important. Pray over your ballot before you take it to the polling place. That it will get to its destination. I believe that the angels are waiting for your command that it will get to its destination without any hindrance from the enemy. I am praying for all of you in Colorado that that vote that you’re voting on will get to its destination. I do have the voting sheet. I’m not going through it today because we’ve got a lot to cover. But I will be willing, so willing to send it to you by email. And also if you call me after the show and leave your name and address, leave your address and I will send it to you. So that’s so important you and I I so enjoy your company mom and thank you for your patience with me because you and I will start talking about something and I’ll bring it right back around to what I what I feel on my heart that the Lord is doing with his people and he’s bringing unity and harmony that he’s bringing peace that he’s pouring out grace on on his people and we’re not supposed to just be hoarding that piece and that grace to ourselves but to be light and to be peace and grace to. And grace to others to spread it on this earth that the earth would be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God it’s his peace and his grace and the hope that he has for human kind the way that he wants us to be his perfect partner. I mean that is what he created us for so how vast is our God that he needs 8 billion people in order to have a perfect partner and that’s just currently how many people are on this planet but every single one is made in the image of God he needs us he wants us and so I keep flipping it back around to that when we’ve got these commercials and the politics coming up in the tragedies and and the disasters. I don’t want to forget that this is how we reach out to one another it’s through these things that are happening all over the planet being hands and feet to one another and helping one another you know the government has let us down and the way that FEMA has not responded well to North Carolina and the need and the devastation there and the way that their properties are being classified as mud slide there they’re being classified as mud slide victims which means the insurance won’t pay that’s right yes they need help they need our hands and feet to come in and help them because the government is not but how beautiful is that God never intended an institution to take care of human kind he intended his humans to take care of each other you know so we’re doing that we’re rising up and taking care of one another. As I was praying for unity it occurred to me that as a conservative if I’m not willing to find some common ground with my liberal brothers and sisters that are out there then can I trust that the liberal brothers and sisters are going to try and find common ground with me I need to be able to try and to find some kind of common ground and so I’ve spent some time looking at the democratic platform and reading through it versus the conservative platform and you know it was all not to bring more information and to talk about information on the air or to do comparisons but that was all about me laying down my tendency to be offended or to be defensive my tendency to want to prove a point and say I have a point and I have a perspective here it is but I’m not going to do that. I think many of us are weary of the fighting, the bickering back and forth, and constantly hearing, name calling, and hearing just some not so positive things about one. Terrible names, yes. And politically, this is the season where there’s bashing back and forth. I’m really weary of hearing that. I’m not helping. Like never before, Kimberly, I’ve never heard, you know, I’ve been here for many years. Never before have I heard such opposition. Right. And oppression over things over the parties. Right. And I, yeah. So we’re just praying for peace. We’re praying that that mouth will be shut and that we’ll start looking to one another to help one another during this season. We do need to help each other and to see that there’s not one right, one wrong. We’re all in this together to cause God’s dream to come true. Not the Republican dream to come true, not the Democratic dream to come true, not the American dream to come true. God’s dream to come true. His kingdom on this earth. Yes. And that’s where I spend the most time, my time. I love to spend asking the Lord, what is your dream for today? What is your dream? What do you want to hear? What do you want to see? And help me be that for you. Help my words continue your kingdom coming into this earth. Help my actions and the places where I go and even a smile towards somebody that I might not usually make eye contact with. But make the eye contact and have a smile ready. Yes. You know, and Lord, help me be your dream come true on this planet. And I don’t think his dream come true is this constant bickering and fighting. But you know what? We’ve tried to stop the wars and we can’t. He can. That’s right. Through our God, we shall do valiantly. It is he who will, it is he, God who will tread down the enemy. If we pray, get on our knees and pray. Yes. See his face, turn from our wicked ways. He will forgive us, but he needs a corporate body praying for that. For that piece. Yes. And I really believe going back to Matthew 11 in verse 28 when he says, come to me if you’re weary and heavy laden. Well, I am, I’m weary. And I will give you rest. He says he will give the rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me. For I am gentle. I’m humble in the way that I handle these things. I’m gentle when I handle these situations and these political seasons. I’m gentle and I’m humble. And you will find rest for your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. I love this in the message version. It says, are you tired? Are you worn out? Are you burned out on politics? It doesn’t say that. It actually says. No, it actually says. You’re right. That was a Kimberly thing with the politics. It actually says burned out on religion. Oh, yes. Are you tired? Are you worn out? Are you burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me. God, this is God. It’s his invitation. Get away with me and you will recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me. Watch how I do it. I’m going to turn the unforced rhythms of grace. Do we know what the unforced rhythms of grace are? We try to force ourselves to do things and even to get through our to-do list for the day. Yes. We force ourselves to get through it and get to the end of the day. That’s a forced way of getting through the day. What are unforced rhythms of grace? It takes our thoughts, Kimberly, and I have discovered that even when I’m doing laundry, when I’m fixing a meal, when I’m going to the grocery store, if I have God on my heart, and especially as I’m praying, and I pray in tongues a lot now, that attitude is going to change from, well, what does he think of me? Are they frowning? Well, I’m going to smile. We turn that frown into a smile. We turn that frowed brow. Some people, they just crinkle up their brow. And when you’re facing them, or maybe you’ve got the crinkle in your brow, that if you begin to smile, that frown is going to go away. And people are going to say, even if you don’t get any good reaction, that’s going to be an imprint on them. Yes. That somebody smiled at them that day. Right. It’s sowing those seeds toward kindness. Yes. Yes. We are all kind. Human beings are kind at their very core, because we’re made in the image of God. And he is kind, and it is his kindness that leads us to repentance. Yes. We find that true in North Carolina, that the government didn’t come through for them. So what’s happening? Oh, communities, people from Colorado, from the West Coast, are flocking to North Carolina, just to lift rocks, to clear mud, to help with the rebuilding of some homes that can be reclaimed, and others just wiping them away, and taking them to, I don’t know, dumps. I guess they’ve got huge dumps now, but it’s wonderful how people are coming together. Yes. We’re getting it. Yeah, we’re getting it. We’re getting it. We’re getting it. We’re getting it. Yeah. So Matthew 11, back to the message version. Walk with me and work with me. Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me. And you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. I think we’re all ready for something more light, more free. And I think it’s safe to say we’re all really weary of the bickering and the fighting one another. We’re tired and we’re weary. So let me pray another prayer. Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord. And creator of the universe. We believe that you are good, you are kind. As we look to you for help and guidance, please help us to lay down our weapons in this realm. And look to you to end the wars. Look to you to bring healing and restoration. We trust you have a plan to bring your dream to pass. To have peace and grace cascade over this planet. We want to help you achieve that. You have shown us extravagant mercy and given us new life. We are reborn to experience a living energetic hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And we are reborn into a perfect inheritance that can never perish, never be defiled, never be diminished. It is promised and preserved in the heavenly places forever. And we believe this is the season. These are the days you are bringing that realm to earth. Thank you, Lord. Oh, thank you, Lord. In Jesus name, as you were praying that prayer, I could see that one of these days, my friends, can you even imagine it, this earth is going to be wrapped with God’s peace. His peace is going to encircle and be on this earth. And even though we can’t believe it quite right now, just believe that God’s Word is going to come true. Yes. And there’s going to be peace. He was the one of the names in Isaiah 9, verse 7, is that he is the prince of peace. Peace is going to be over all the earth. That’s right. That’s right. I love that. That’s so good. I was praying from 1 Peter 1. So if any of you are interested where I was getting some of those words, that was from straight from 1 Peter 1. And just believing that God would have his way as he gave that vision to Peter and Peter wrote it down that when we speak it out loud and we pray it out loud, that it’s coming into agreement with God himself and that he will have his way in bringing this place, this perfect inheritance that does not perish onto this earth. Some of you have not seen your miracle and you’re praying in the health area. You’re praying that that disease or illness is going to be taken and erased from your life or your relationship with your sons or daughters or friends or neighbors is going to be in peace one of these days. Well, it will be as we pray that it will be and not hold anything against anybody. Right. Not hold anything against no grudges, no unforgiveness, just praying the positive prayers of peace and the promises and blessings that you were just praying from 1 Peter 1. Yes. It’s beautiful. And when we humble ourselves and pray, the humbling really is saying, you know what? I don’t know what these other people have walked through and I don’t know what the plan is. I’m one person. I’m one small human being on this planet. I can’t know the answer, but God does. When we humble ourselves like that and say, Lord, we ask you to give us handles for our faith so that we can hang on more tightly to your goodness and hope to what your plan is, that you’ve planted within us. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity we have to help each other and serve each other in the midst of tragedy and disaster. Truly, we are your body and we walk humbly with you into the devastated areas, bringing provisions and hope and love, believing for healing and restoration for those who have experienced so much loss. We believe that you are a God who redeems. You are in the restoration business and we’re believing that you will bring that to each individual who’s listening as well as to the devastated areas on this planet. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name. Thank you. I’ve often desired to have a half hour where there were prayers going out instead of just information. A lot of radio programs are information and we’re full of information and knowledge and yet we have neglected the area of prayer, just taking time to pray. And that is so important, Kimberly. I agree. Yes, it is. First Peter, chapter 1 that I’m in, in verse 13 it says, “When Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you.” And I believe that when we see Jesus, he’s interceding over us. When we see him as an intercessor, constantly praying over us, we’ll want to join him. And there will be a greater measure of grace that will be released to us in that process. Oh, amen. This has been so good. And we’re going to continue tomorrow if the Lord wills.
