Welcome to Called Up Freedom. I want you to know today that God is able to make all grace abound to you. Everything good that he has planned for you is surrounding you today. So that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. He goes on to say in 2 Corinthians 9, Now he who supplies seed to the sower, that’s us, he supplies us seed so we can throw it out into the kingdom of God, into the kingdom of light, and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing. and increase the harvest of your righteousness. God is always increasing, always increasing. He does not decrease. He increases. He gives and he gives and he gives. For God so loved the world that he gave. That’s the kind of God we serve. And we will be enriched in everything for all liberality. That’s generosity, which through us is introducing thanksgiving to God. sowing, sowing, sowing, sowing into the kingdom. And that’s not S-E-W-I-N-G, although that’s a good word. But S-O-W is just scattering your seed, scattering it and scattering. Every opportunity that you have, you’re scattering seed for the kingdom of God. Oh, I’m alone today in the studio. Kimberly left this last weekend. It was so good to have her for two weeks. Yes, she was here for two weeks, and she was just doing so much for her 80-year-old mother, and I’m grateful. I’m just forever grateful that God has given me children that do love me, and especially one who dotes on me. I know the other night I was, I enjoy every once in a while a little Reese’s Thin, and that is dark chocolate. So it’s just a very small little chocolate, and at least it gives me my fetish for chocolate as satisfied. And I went to the refrigerator just to get a little bit to have with my cup of coffee. She had taken – I have a little bag in the door of my refrigerator, and there were only two left when I had last looked into it. And she had filled that bag full – of reese’s thins oh i was so blessed i just i had to text her and tell her oh you stinker you filled my bag so she’s always supplying the need through holy spirit through her is supplying the need for her mom i’m so grateful so pray for kimberly she’s acclimating to oklahoma weather and her family and getting back into the groove with her friends she’s got so many friends around her And also her students, her piano students, so that everything would fall in place and she would be at peace and joy and rest in Jesus’ name. Our Monday Bible slogan is always a blessing for me. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I do what it tells me to do. This is my Bible. It has given me new life. It is the word of God. And like the little advertisement right before the program at 1 o’clock here, Rachel was saying how the African people don’t have a Bible in their language. And this is so important, friend. We’ve got, oh, I don’t even want to tell you how many Bibles I have in my house. And it’s just amazing. And you say, well, why don’t you give them away? Because they are so marked up and underlined. I think that anybody reading it would have a real problem reading the word. But I do bless those people every day. I bless them with new word, new vision, new revelation of who Jesus Christ, our Savior, really is. Praise the Lord. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. And I am so sorry about the revealing that Mr. Biden has advanced cancer. So it’s interesting to know that because I have been involved, intimately involved with a person who discovered he has advanced cancer, and that was John, that this cancer has been going on in his body for months, months, maybe even years. And no one has detected it? Wow. That’s really strange because usually they have very detailed yearly physicals that they go through, especially in the administration of serving the country of the United States. So someone slipped up. I realize that the Biden administration, do you realize this? It was so hush hush about everything that was going on. They never had the kind of talks and appearances that we see today. Everything out in the open, everything out in the light. It is just a total reversal. So if you want to pray for Mr. Biden, that he would come to know, come to have a personal relationship with with our Lord Jesus Christ. Because if it’s advanced, as I have heard that it is advanced, he’s not going to be here very long. But I want him to get to know our Lord Jesus. And Father God, right now, I lift up Mr. Biden and his family. And Lord, I know that it’s been dishonesty and cheating for so long. And the sins that have come upon his family are a long list of them. But Father God, you sent your son, our Lord Jesus Christ, for that very reason, to take away our sins. And I pray that he would come to know you, come to talk with you, Holy Father, and let him know that as he asks forgiveness for his sins, you are so willing to forgive in the precious name of our Lord Jesus. Amen. Well, it’s just wonderful to know that we have a God who’s so forgiving. Our memory verse for this week is Psalm 18, verse 19. We’re getting into the Psalms right now. Oh, I love this part of the year when we’re reading about the Psalms that not only King David wrote, but Asaph and some of the worship leaders then. And this is Psalm 18, verse 19. That’s a beautiful expanse. You’re into a thick forest and all of a sudden you come out into a clearing and it’s beautiful and the sun’s shining. Oh, I’ve been there. Oh, and he rescued me because he delights in me. Did you hear that? God rescued David because he delighted in David. Do you know what? God delights in you. Here’s the New Living Translation of Psalm 18. 18 through 19. I want you to really focus on 19 this week. My enemies attacked me at a moment when I was in distress. See, when you’re emotional, when you are angry, when you are hurrying around, that’s when the enemy likes to attack. At a moment that you’re in kind of a flux of coming and going and distress and anxiety, that’s when he attacks. But, David says, the Lord supported me. He led me to a place of safety. He rescued me because he delights in me. And I can say that about you today, friend. He delights in you. So receive his love. Receive his joy. in his presence, his fullness of joy. Boy, do I have a story for you today. And I want to thank my friend Selena in Nebraska for sending this truth about sheep that I’d never heard about. I’d been here a long time. I’d never heard this about sheep. A rattlesnake, and this is from the sheep herder, a rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face about a week ago. It’s the deadliest snake that lives around here. The sheep’s face swelled up and the bite hurt her terribly. Oh, I would hate to hear that groaning. But the old rattlesnake didn’t know the kind of blood that flows through sheep. I didn’t know it either. Antivenom is most often made from sheep’s blood. Did you hear that? Antivenom is most often made from sheep’s blood. My sheep swelled up for about two days, but the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the serpent. You know where this is going, don’t you? I was worried that the sheep didn’t care. I was worried, but the sheep didn’t care, it goes on to say. She kept on eating, kept on drinking, and kept on climbing without a care in the world because she knew she was all right. Don’t worry about the serpent or the bite or the attack. Just make sure the blood of the lamb, and that’s a capital L, the blood of the lamb is flowing through your veins. And just keep on eating, keep on drinking, keep on fellowshipping, and keep on climbing without a care. Because you have cast all your care on him. I’m hoping that you have. So I looked online. No, I usually just like confirmation about this topic. Anti-venom in sheep’s blood. And in Hebrew, let’s see, in an email that I got, it says sheep in South Australia. are helping fight snake bites. Their blood is special because it can make anti-venoms. After getting a small dose of snake venom, the sheep’s body works hard to beat it. So they inject it with a dose of the snake venom and the sheep’s blood really goes to work to beat it. It makes antibodies that can attack the venom. These antibodies are then collected from the sheep’s blood. Did you know that? Doctors use these antibodies to treat people bitten by snakes. They work fast and save lives. Some people think sheep might be immune to snake venom, which helps them create good antivenoms. Scientists still study how sheep’s blood can best be used for different snake venoms around the world. And this was in South Australia. I don’t know how many countries are experimenting with the blood of the lambs and the sheep, but… I know that we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Hallelujah. So it took me into a place in Hebrews where we’re talking about the blood of our Lord Jesus. It’s such a wonderful thing. I know a lot of people don’t sing about the blood anymore, don’t talk about the blood. And it’s the blood of Jesus that washes white as snow. It’s the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all unrighteousness. That blood is still flowing, folks. Well, here in Hebrews 10, and I’m reading 1 through 18, the old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim review of the good things to come. Not the good things themselves, but the good things that are coming for you. And it’s just no longer the… event the main event it’s no longer the old system is no longer the main event it’s grace right now and it’s great i don’t know how long grace probably till jesus comes back we are going to be living in an absolute age of grace where his blood cleanses us from our sins as we confess them the sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again year after year this is old testament this is old system but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. Oh, they came year after year with their sacrifices, and they had to be pure sacrifices, no flaw in the sheep or whatever they were giving for their sacrifices. They had to do it year after year after year. If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared. But just think, year after year after year, they were reminded of their sins as they brought their sacrifices. Yeah, they were reminded of their guilt, the condemnation, the unworthiness, the inferiority. All that came upon them year after year. For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. In the same way, it is not possible for you to try to be a good person and keep all the rules without Jesus Christ coming into your life and letting you know that because you believe in him as God’s son and he brought him down to the earth to die and rise again. that you know without a doubt that as you believe, there are no longer sins that you need to atone for. Praise God. And I want to remind you, he’s not atoning anymore like it was in the Old Testament, covering the sins. He’s cleansing. He’s doing away with those sins. Verse 5 of Hebrews 10 says, That is why when Christ came into the world, He said to God, You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings, but you have given me a body to offer. You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin. And then I said, Look, I have come to do your will, O my God, as it is written about me in the scriptures. Now some of the things which were told and prophesied about him was that he would take away our sins. That’s what was prophesied, never to be remembered again. In hanging on the cross, he promised complete wholeness of spirit, soul, and body. And here is a description of what Christ would be for us in Isaiah 53. Now, in Isaiah 52, at the very end of that chapter, it says he was so beaten that he was unrecognizable. And if you’ve ever seen the Shroud of Turin or you’ve heard of that being Jesus’ grave cloth, he is unrecognizable. So here is Isaiah 53, verse 1. Who has truly believed our revelation? Who’s believing this prophecy that there is going to come a man, capital M, who will take away our sins and heal? Who has believed our report? Who has believed our revelation? To whom will Yahweh reveal his mighty arm? And his mighty arm all through the Old Testament is Jesus. He’s at the right hand of God and the right arm. is the mighty arm of power, and that’s Jesus. Verse 2 of Isaiah 53 says, Yes, he was a tender newborn in a stable, not able to do anything for himself. The great and mighty and majestic God of the universe, oh, I cannot even begin to imagine, came as a humble little baby. He possessed no distinguishing beauty or outward splendor to catch our attention, nothing special in his appearance to make us desire him. He was just one of the Jewish men in a crowd. until he was 30 years old. And then God revealed the long-awaited Messiah to the Jewish people. And what did they do? What did they assess here? Ah, they despised him. Verse 3 of Isaiah 53 says, He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, who was no stranger to suffering and grief. We hid our faces from him in disgust and considered him a nobody, not worthy of respect, and yet he came as our sin-bearing servant. Verse 4 of Isaiah 53 says he was the one who carried our sicknesses and endured the torment of our sufferings. We viewed him as one who was being punished for something he himself had done. The Jewish leaders accused him of being a blasphemer when they were the blasphemers. By his stripes we are healed. Hallelujah. I’m sure many of you have sung this song on Resurrection Sunday. Crucified, laid behind the stone, you lived to die rejected and alone like a rose trampled on the ground. You took the fall and thought of me above all. Oh, praise God. Like wayward sheep, we have all wandered astray. Each of us have turned from God’s paths and chosen our own way. Even so, Yahweh laid the guilt of our every sin upon him. Every sin, folks. He was oppressed and harshly mistreated. Still, he humbly submitted, refusing to defend himself. He was like a gentle lamb to be slaughtered, like a silent sheep before his shearers. He didn’t even open his mouth. Why was Jesus depicted as a lamb? There are so many animals that God created. Magnificent animals, strong animals, beautiful animals and birds. Why a lamb? First of all, Christ said, you did not want animal sacrifices anymore. So what was the basic sacrifice given in the Old Testament year after year after year? The bulls and the oxen were just a few because they were so big. The lambs were a perfect sacrifice for those Old Testament sacrifices. But our high priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, as a lamb to be slain. Good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet. Oh, I was so blessed by the story of the lamb and the blood. That is an antibody for snake venom. That is a shocker for me. But I can easily understand that God has cleansed the lamb’s blood, even the physical lamb’s blood. And I remember the song that was sung by Twyla Parris, written by Twyla Parris, The Lamb of God. And I’d like to have you hear it now.

One of my favorite composers during the 90s and the 2000s, Twyla Parris. Oh, wash me in your precious blood. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way, not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing, nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable, is absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus, our master, has embraced us. Oh, and in the end, in Revelation, you’re going to see a triumphant lamb of God appear. Oh, he’s going to be triumphant in every way. He’s going to bring that lasting peace that he talked about in John 14. My peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the peace that the world gives. No. Let not your heart be troubled. Neither let it be afraid. He’s got this, friend. He’s got it. So relax. Relax. Don’t let anything get you anxious and all full of turmoil and sadness and anger. Don’t do that. Don’t allow anything to disturb you. in the rest that you have with Jesus Christ. Tomorrow, I will tell you more about why Jesus is depicted as the Lamb of God. It’s very good. It’s very wonderful to understand the wonderful Lamb of God, Christ Jesus. God bless you and keep you and take joy.
