And now our text we are going to consider is Genesis 3, verses 8 and 9. Speaking of Adam and Eve, the Bible says, And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you? You know, God asked a simple question to Adam. Where are you? Oh my, knowing what Adam had done, God was looking and wanted to know. And of course, God knew where they were. And God already knew what they had done. But I want you to think with me for a moment. If God were to ask you and I, Where are you? You know, God the Father knows where we are. He knows where I am. He knows where you are, friends. So today, in a spiritual way, let’s ask the question, where are you? Before we do that, I want to bring up another question. Where will we go when we die? You know, friends, where we are today will decide where we go when we die. If we are walking against God and walking in a hell-bound direction, we can change. You know, friends, it really matters what we believe and how we live. And with that said, let’s take a moment for our J-Web, who wants to share with you a free online study. Here is our J-Web.

SPEAKER 01 :
Friends, here is our question. Where are you concerning your salvation? Friends, from the very outset, we are going to share with you concerning the salvation in Christ that you may not hear on other broadcasts. But we are concerned with what the Bible says because our very souls are at stake. Let’s consider first of all, friends, that you can be a member of the church we read of in the New Testament. It’s the church that Jesus promised to build, and He did, according to His promise in Matthew 16 and verse 18. That church came into its existence on the day of Pentecost. For in Acts chapter 2 and verse 47, the Bible says that those that obeyed the gospel were added to the church daily. And so, friends, one can be added to the church and not a denominational body. you can be a member of the church we read of in the New Testament. Where are you? When we hear the gospel message, well, one needs to hear and understand as Jesus clearly expressed in Matthew 15 and verse 10. And we understand that our faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10 verse 17. Friends, in order for us to have true biblical faith, we need to know what the word of God has to say. You see, belief in God, faith, it’s of necessity. For in Hebrews 11 and verse 6, the Bible says, For without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. So, friends, we must come to God. We can’t just stand still hoping that God will save us or thinking that we are. No, friends, we must come to God. For he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3.16 But you know, friends, it’s interesting that belief alone is not enough. You know, while faith is important, think about the devils, the demons that believe, yet they tremble. James 2.19 They’re not saved. Think about those in the Gospel of John chapter 12, around verses 42 and 43, that believed on Him, but they failed to confess Him, lest they be cast out of the synagogues. You and I know a lot of people that say, I believe in God, but they fail to do anything about it. You see, when we believe in God, we’re going to embrace what is taught, and oh, then we come to that word repentance that Jesus commanded in Luke 13, 3 and 5. that he said repentance and remission of sins would be preached in his name through all nations beginning at Jerusalem, Luke 24, 44-47. Sure enough, on the day of Jerusalem, or the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem, in Acts 2, verse 38, how were they added to the church we mentioned earlier? They repented and they were baptized. You know, confession is commanded and confession was done. From Matthew 10, 32 and 33, Jesus taught us the importance and the command of confessing Him before men. And verse 33, if we fail to confess Him, what will happen? In Romans 10, 9 and 10, we understand that man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And friends, when we make that confession of faith, we are ready to embrace that command of baptism. Did you know, friends, that baptism… is essential for salvation. After all, Jesus commanded it, Matthew 28, 18-20. How baptism is a burial in Christ is affirmed in Romans 6, 1-6 and Colossians 2, verse 12. I find it of interest that when I look at Mark 16, 16, based upon our faith in baptism, one is saved. As we noted moments ago, the remission of sins in Acts 2, verse 38. Paul was told to arise and be baptized and wash away his sins, calling on the name of the Lord, Acts 22, 16. Did you know baptism puts us into Christ and we put on Christ at baptism, Galatians 3, 27. And according to 1 Peter 3 and verse 21, the like figure whereunto baptism doth now also save us. And then when we are raised to walk in that newness of life, Romans 6, 1-6, we are to walk faithful. To be faithful unto death, Revelation 2 and verse 10. To walk faithful in serving Him, walking in His church, His will and His way. Friends, we ask the question again. Where are you? Let’s also ask this question. Are you ready to do what you need to do to obey the gospel? And with that being said, we have a gift we want to mail to you that’s free. Our J-Web has the details for this awesome by mail Bible study.
