Those of you that know me know that one of my favorite books in the Bible is the Song of Songs, often referred to as the Song of Solomon. It’s the same book. Actually, it’s interesting. Most people know it as the Song of Solomon. But did you know that the book actually names itself in the very first verse? You look at the first verse and it says, this is the Song of Songs. which is solomon so i love the title the song of songs i think it’s a more accurate title of the book and it more conveys the beauty of the lord which is so extremely revealed in this book it’s a shadow of the love that god has for his people and how beautiful we are to him and how beautiful he is to us And I just want to bring to you one of our favorite verses in the Song of Songs from the second chapter. It’s the fourth verse. It’s the Shulamite bride that’s speaking. And the Shulamite bride in the Song of Songs is a shadow of the church. The Song of Songs is a love dialogue between King Jesus and his bride, the church. And here’s what the bride, a shadow of you and I, says to Jesus. He has brought me to his banquet hall. And his banner over me is love. I don’t know about you, but I just, whenever I read the Song of Songs, even reading this verse right now, it just touches me. It does something for me emotionally. The Song of Songs reveals how intimately the Lord feels about us. In fact, if you haven’t read my book, A Journey into Divine Love, I really encourage you to go to our website, Discovering the Jewish Jesus, or Amazon, and get it. Because God gave me a revelation on the Song of Songs that changed my life. Jesus… feel so intimate about you and I that we need revelation to more fully comprehend it. Listen, it’s a romance. You and I have been invited, Revelation chapter 19, to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Jesus is passionately in love with us. You and I are his bride. And he wants to bring us into an encounter of his love that the Shulamite bride here in the Song of Sives describes as being brought into his banquet hall or into the wedding chamber. Jesus has a revelation for you, my friend, that’s going to knock you off your feet. Stay tuned, because as you continue to look to him, he’s going to continue to reveal more of this reality to you and me.
