The Lord speaks today, trust in Him, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path, Proverbs 3, 5 and 6. The Lord is calling us to let go of our own preconceived thoughts about our lives. If you look back on your life and your journey in the Lord, if you’ve received the Lord, that’s the beginning of letting go. It’s the beginning of letting go of your own thoughts and ways to lean and trust on a God whose ways are so far above yours and above mine. And so through all of our journey, once we receive the Lord, we’ll find that we’re always letting go of something else. It’s a series all the way to the end. The Lord spoke to me very clearly when I was wrestling with the idea of death and going through my burial process. instructions to the funeral home for when I pass, I wrestled out, wow, I don’t know, this is my body. What am I gonna do with this body? And the Lord really ministered to me on how I needed to let go of my body. That when I die at the end of my life, he spoke, he says, that’s your last letting go, letting go of your body completely and utterly in that grave. And it gave me joy though, because he’s taught me In my journey with him, once I accepted him, I’m following him, I find myself letting go of the old life to receive his new life, his new way of doing things, his new way of thinking, his new ways of responding to people and to others and to life. as I keep letting go, that he is so good to me. Some of you think right now, the things you’ve had to let go of, it’s painful letting go of people we’ve loved. That’s really painful to let go of those who have passed already, but we have to let go and cling to the Lord even greater, that His love is what sustains us. There’s things all through life we will just continue to keep letting go and receive His new gift, letting go and receive His new gift. Sometimes we have to let go of things we don’t understand. in the scriptures and what’s going on in the world. It’s painful to watch what’s going on over in the Middle East and in Gaza and all the areas around the world that there’s suffering. It’s so hard to understand why is there evil in the world? I’ve had to leave that at the cross and say, God, I don’t understand it. But you’ve told me to trust in you with all my heart. Don’t lean on my understanding because you hold the world together. You created the world. You created me. You created each person. So I have to trust that you somehow know how to transform all into your goodness and greatness in the end. So today, what is it that the Lord is calling you to let go of that you can reach forward and receive his new good word, his heart in an even deeper way that will settle you in his peace, in his shalom, and most of all, in his love?
