SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Keys to Breakthrough Part 2, Releasing the Angels. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, Keys to Breakthrough Part 2, Releasing the Angels. Then angels bring encouragement and strength. Angels bring encouragement and strength. First Kings 19 verse three, Elijah was afraid and ran for his life from Jezebel. Verse five, then he laid down under the tree and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, get up and eat. He looked around and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then laid down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, get up and eat for the journey is too much for you. So he got up and ate and drank, strengthened by that food. He traveled 40 days and 40 nights until he reached Horeb, the Mount of God. So we see angels bring encouragement and strength. And then Matthew four 11, this is after Satan tempted Jesus. The devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness for 40 days. Then the devil left him and angels came and attended him after the temptation. And then in the garden of Gethsemane during the great temptation, testing of his faith and his surrender to God in the garden of Gethsemane, Luke 22, 41. He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed. And verse three says, an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. That’s when he sweat great drops of blood and an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. Then angels escort those who are born again into heaven when they die. So we have escort angels. Now, I don’t know. It could be that some of these angels do more than one thing. Maybe your guardian angel is also your escort angel. So that can be that they have more than one role that they play in your life. But this is something else that they do. And there are people that don’t really know this. And this is another reason why you don’t need to be afraid to what the world says die. The Bible calls fall asleep. Scripture says they fell asleep. It was the body that stopped breathing. Your spirit leaves your body. You don’t need to be afraid of that. Why? Because when you’re born again, the angels are there immediately to escort you to heaven. Praise the Lord. In Luke 16, this is the story of the rich man and Lazarus going into, the rich man went into hell and Lazarus went into Abraham’s bosom. Now, this is not a parable. There’s a lot of Christians that thought this was a parable. It’s not a parable. It’s a true story because in the King James version, we see in verse 19, there was a certain rich man. Now, Jesus never said a certain man. If he’s talking about a parable, he would always say things like the kingdom of heaven is like. A seed. It is like a man who found a pearl of great price. He’d always use the word like when he told a parable and like a man, a general man. So anytime he says certain man, this is a single certain person who was a real person. It is not a parable. And then also he gave Lazarus name in a parable. Jesus never told somebody’s name. Parables never use exact names. So the fact that the name of Lazarus was given shows also that it is not a parable, but Lazarus was a real man. So what we see here is that there was a certain rich man. Verse 22, it came to pass that the beggar Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. Now this was before the cross B.C., And as we taught on the radio program in the Resurrection Week series, that before Jesus was raised from the dead, the Old Testament saints were in Abraham’s bosom, also called Paradise, which was actually down in the center of the earth. By this we see that the rich man looked up and saw Lazarus. Lazarus looked down and saw the rich man. Abraham looked down and saw the rich man. And they talked to each other. Abraham talked to the rich man. The rich man talked to Abraham. They were close enough to see each other. To hear each other. To talk to each other. But there was a gulf between them. So Abraham’s bosom was actually a compartment above hell. But it was down in the earth. But it was above hell, separate, paradise, comfortable, pleasant, where Abraham said he is now enjoying good things. Lazarus, while you are having bad things. So it was a good place, but it was down in the earth. Now this Abraham’s bosom does not exist anymore. Since the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And in Ephesians chapter 4, it says he led them in his train. So everybody that was down there, the righteous that were down there in Abraham’s bosom, followed Jesus in his train into heaven. They all ascended into heaven. They’re all in heaven now. Glory to God. But the angels still do the same work. So instead of taking us to Abraham’s bosom, which doesn’t exist anymore, we now go directly to heaven into the presence of God. Praise the Lord. But the angels are there to carry us, to escort us all the way. Praise the Lord. Angels do spiritual warfare. We’ve heard of this one before. Also, the warrior angels. And this is where we talked about Daniel chapter 10. And Gabriel came to Daniel in verse 12. Gabriel said to Daniel, do not be afraid, Daniel, since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom, that’s another demonic spirit, resisted me 21 days. Then Michael, the archangel, one of the chief princes said, And he was a warrior angel, came to help me because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Verse 20 says, so he said, do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia. When I go, the prince of Greece will come. So he’s talking about the spiritual warfare in the heavens. And then Revelation 12, 7 also says there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back. And that dragon is Satan. So we know this, and I’m not going into a detailed lesson that’s not for tonight about spiritual warfare. But angels do spiritual warfare. And Michael is the chief prince archangel of the warrior angels. He is a big, tough dude. He is a tough, strong dude. And you always want him to be on your side. Amen. So there is war in heaven. And this spiritual warfare, it’s in that place where we read earlier in Ephesians 6, verse 12, the principalities, rulers of darkness. Those are the evil spirits and their rankings that are over and around the earth. And they are interacting with activity on earth and hindering and causing all kinds of trouble. And so we need the warrior angels to fight against those evil spirits for us. Because even on a very personal level, we have evil spirits that are resisting us, that are opposing, fighting against us, stopping us, hurting us, hindering us in different ways. Evil spirits, we cannot see them, but they’re there. Sometimes we just wonder, why am I having such a hard time? Why am I not getting this breakthrough? It’s because there are evil spirits working against you. And so the warrior angels are needed to help us break through and get victory in our lives. Then angels fight battles for you. Now, these are related. These are similar. The warrior angels, they fight battles for you. Second Kings 19 verses 35 and 36 say that night, the angel of the Lord went out and put to death 185,000 men in the Syrian camp. One angel, one angel knocked out 185,000 men. And you can have a legion of angels. Glory to God. One angel knocked out 185, put to death 185,000 men. That was one angel. Now, if you can have a legion of angels, what can they do? It can’t be counted. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. And then the people woke up the next morning and there were all the dead bodies. And so Sennacherib, king of Assyria, broke camp and withdrew and he returned to Nineveh where he came from. Well, good thing he was smart. Get out of there. Amen. Amen. And then Psalm 35, five and six, may they be like chaff. This is your enemies. This is talking about your enemy. May your enemy be like chaff before the wind with the angel of the Lord, driving them away. May their path be dark and slippery with the angel of the Lord pursuing them. So the angel of the Lord and your delivering angels, those angels that fight battles for you can pursue and drive away your enemies. Praise the Lord. And then angels help you reap your harvest. This is what we were talking about when we were giving our offerings. And we bless our seed and then believe God for the harvest. And we release the harvesting angels. Angels help you reap your harvest. Receive what you’re believing God for. To help you receive those things that you have put down on your list that you’re believing God for. The angels can help you receive. Genesis 24-7 says, even to find a wife. I guess that would work for a husband. The Lord, the God of heaven, Genesis 24, seven, Abraham said to his servant, Eliezer, the Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land. And he spoke to me and promised me on O saying to your offspring, I will give this land. He will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son, Isaac, Abraham, getting a wife for his son, Isaac. And verse 40, he replied, now this is Eliezer, the servant talking to Rebecca’s family. The Lord before whom I have walked will send his angel. The Lord said he will send his angel with you. Make your way, your journey a success so that you can get a wife for my son from my own clan, from my father’s family. So here we have an angel helping to get a wife. Hallelujah.
