Praise the Lord. Welcome to this program of R.G. Hardy Ministries because we know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I’m Sharon Notts thanking you for tuning in today because we have a very special message for you if you are married or are planning to be married. If so, this message by my father, Brother Hardy, is one you don’t want to miss. Two shall be one. Even if you have a good marriage, you can benefit from this down-to-earth biblical teaching, two shall be one.

I’m talking about finding your place in your marriage. Husband, give yourself up for your wife like Christ gave himself up for the church. If a husband will live for his wife’s benefit and good and love her, then he can expect her to order her life under him and look to his lead and rely on him to supply her need. How many say amen? And there will be no divisions between No separations. Nobody’s going to tear them apart. They’re going to have a strong marriage that will weather every storm, every trial of life that will come down the path to separate them. One more little subject and we’ll conclude. Marriage, two shall be one. want to go to first Corinthians the seventh chapter and I want to talk about sex in marriage now the minute you say sex most people get a funny looks and think you said a dirty word now sex is not dirty God created it God in huh God was the one that ordained it. And like I read the scripture in the beginning, marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled. What is dirty is whoredom and fornication and kinky, dirty sex. But the highest expression of a man and a woman of giving their self to and for one another is consummated in the sexual act. The husband and the wife can’t give themselves any more to one another than they do in the sexual act. And only in the sexual act are you one. Did you know that? Only in the sexual act are you one. Because in 1 Corinthians 7, Paul talking about he that is joined to a harlot is a harlot. For two say if he shall be one. So the oneness really comes in the sexual act. You’ll never be more than one that when a wife willingly and lovingly gives herself up to her husband and her husband gives himself up for his wife. How many say amen? A lot of wives and some husbands, after they get married, don’t want to have sex. Well, you know what? You should have never got married. Wife, woman, girl, young girl, young lady, if you don’t want sex, don’t get married. Because that is an obligation of the marriage covenant. How many say amen? And I’m going to start off at… First Corinthians, the seventh chapter in the first verse, it said, now concerning the things which you wrote unto me, the Corinthian church wrote unto him and asked him about this question of sex and marriage. Is it good for a man not to touch a woman? He said, nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife and let every woman have her own husband. Amen. So God’s on record. It’s not good for man to be alone. He should be married. He’s incomplete without a wife. He’s lonely. His life is incomplete. There should be one man and one woman. It didn’t say let every man have his own wives and every wife her own husbands. How many say amen? One wife, one husband forever. The only exception is if one of them is committing unfaithfulness on chastity. How many say amen? All right. Third verse. Let the husband render unto his wife due benevolence, and likewise also the wife unto the husband. In other words, the due benevolence means the debt of The husband owes the debt of sex to his wife when she wants and needs it. And the wife owes the debt of sex to her husband when he needs it. Fourth verse. The wife have no power over her own body but the husband. And likewise also the husband have no power over of his own body but the wife. You see the equality? You see each has to submit to the other. Now, this fourth verse means I cannot say to my husband or my wife when she can have sex to me. How many say amen? My wife cannot say to me when I can have sex with her. I have authority over my wife’s body. The wife has authority over her husband’s body. Whenever the wife needs to have sex, the husband owes the debt to fulfill it. Whenever the husband needs to have sex, the wife owes the debt to fulfill it. Neither one can hold back when the other one needs to have sex. Fifth verse. Defraud ye not one the other. You see, don’t you hold back. Now, a lot of wives, when they have their little petty fights, are going to punish their husband by making him sleep on the sofa. Brother, you fell into the biggest trap of the devil that you ever heard of. You’re out of Bible order. You’re disobeying the Word of God. You have no authority, power over your body. Your husband does. Don’t you do it, because you know what you’re going to do? As you read down in this seventh chapter, you can read it later, you’ll find out that Paul tells them, don’t get married, but if you can’t contain, if you have no self-control, it’s better to marry than to burn. Now there’s two sides of commentators on the burn. Either burn with lust or burn in hell. How many say amen? Now if your husband got married for one reason, he could not contain, and you withhold sex from him, you are giving the devil the tool to tempt him. And you know what you’re gonna do? You’re gonna drive him to that Jezebel down the block. Because there’s nothing that the devil delights in doing more than to tear up Bible marriages. Because a lot of these Jezebels and a lot of these macho lovers see a good marriage. They’ll see a husband providing for this wife and giving him everything and they’re going to try everything in the book to break that marriage up to get him. vice versa with the husband how many say amen and if one of the other party has a weakness that they cannot contain and they have to have sex and you deprive them of them you have disobeyed the Word of God fell in the trap of the devil and you might be the means of them committing fornication and adultery and Seeing their souls lost and God’s going to judge you because that you deprived and withheld sex from them If you don’t want to have sex don’t get married You cannot control the other person’s need They have a need that need has to be satisfied You don’t have the authority over your body Your husband has a right to demand sex when he wants it. The wife has a right to go to the husband and demand sex when he wants it. Fifth verse. I’ll read to three so you’ll get the flow. Let the husband render unto his wife due benevolence. In other words, the Greek words, pay the debt. Pay the debt of sexual… satisfaction to his wife, and likewise also the wife to the husband. The wife has no power of her own body but the husband, and likewise also the husband have no power of his own body but the wife. Defraud ye. Don’t you hold back. Don’t you punish one another. I’m not going to give you sex. And the devil’s tempted them, and you drive them out because they couldn’t contain in their burning. It caused them to commit fornication. Can I get an amen? Amen. Huh? Defraud ye not one another except it be with consent for a time equal. Husband or wife feels led of the Lord to go into special prayer and fasting. Defraud ye not one another except it be with consent for a time that you may give yourself to fasting and prayer and then come together again that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. How many say amen? You feel led to have a special prayer and fasting? You’ve got to go to your mate and make sure that her need is supplied or his need is supplied and that you can give yourself to prayer and fasting. This means the special time of prayer because we’re always supposed to be praying. But in the Greek, it has a definite article in front of it, special times of prayer and fasting. How many say amen? You know, like some of them, they get so spiritual that they cannot have no sexual relations anymore. I mean, they’re always praying and fasting. When the mate comes and says, I want to have conjugal love, I want to have sex, they say, well, I’m sorry, I’m praying and fasting. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You’ve got to talk this out. And you’re going to find out As you’re married, that your sexual life will come into a cycle. As you’re married, you’ll find out there are cycles. And then as you get older, the cycle changes. How many say amen? And let me say this. If God has put it on your heart for a special time in prayer and fasting, and when you go to your mate, he’s going to let them know too. That’s if they’re spiritual. But any time the husband or the wife needs to have conjugal love, the mate cannot withhold it from them. Unless he’s a sex fiend or she’s a sex fiend that’s got to have it 20 times a day. How many say amen? Then you need to bring them in the line and let me pray for them and cast that thing out of them. How many say amen? But you learn your sex cycle. How many say amen? And then whenever your wife has a need, you are to supply her need. And likewise, husband has a need, the wife has to supply her need. And you are to come together again in your appointed cycle. and only break it when they consent. You talk it out. Don’t you see, weave through the whole Scriptures, there’s equality and submitting to one another. Huh? I submit. The wife submits because she submits herself to her husband. The husband loves because he gives himself for his wife. How many say amen? And when each husband and each wife, each mate, find their place, find their abilities, find what complements one another, and begin to serve and submit and minister to one another, I tell you what, you’re going to have a marriage that’s like the Word says, you’re going to be stuck together with your wife. You’re going to be so glued that you’re not too. You’re thinking, huh? When your wife comes, you’ve already thought those thoughts. When your husband comes, you’ve already thought those thoughts. You’re in the same channel. You’re on the same page. How many say amen? It’s like athletes. Take football, playing football. All of those members of that team have to get on the same page and think the same thoughts. And the husband and wife and later the children, they got to get on the same page as one another. And the same page is that they’re heirs together of eternal life. And the same page is they’re trying to help one another to make heaven their home. The same page is that they’re complimenting one another. The same page is that one’s weak, the other one’s going to come and take their strength and hold them up. How about you say amen? The same page is that they’re together. one another, and they’re going to not let any outside influence, mother, father, huh, huh, huh, bathroom psychologist, break up their marriage. How many say amen? They’re going to come together and say, come now, let us reason together, because we are married forever, and we are one, and we are going to work out these little problems. How many say amen? Huh, husband? Give yourself for her. You’re supposed to be the leader and macho and so smart. Okay, pray along with her a little bit. And pray for her. She’ll grow up after a while. And you wives that has married a little boy, have compassion on him. Let him have his couple toys. Pray for him. One day he’ll grow up and put away his toys. And let’s try to help one another make heaven our home. You see, give the Lord a good clap. You see, what it all boils down to is this. Marriage is a partnership where two people have decided to lose their self into one another and become one. And to live for the betterment and uplifting of the other. And that whatever sacrifice has to be made They have enough love that they’re willing to make that sacrifice one for another. How many say amen? And that to realize together that God, if they have left him, has put them together to complement one another. That has given each one what the other one lacked. And without, the both are incomplete. Really. person that’s single is really incomplete it’s not good for mankind to be alone God said how many say amen and let them find their completeness and let this completeness come together and be stuck to one another that nothing can break that marriage bond and that oneness and unity of flesh and purpose And that together they have got this purpose. That we’re going to help one another fulfill the plan of God in our lives. And that’s to help one another make heaven their home. Make a godly home to bring up children in a godly environment. And give them a godly chance. And lead them in the godly way. and together as a husband and wife in a family unit to try to subdue the earth. Is that what he said? He said rule it, subdue it. I believe God was looking down to this day when the devil has come in to destroy all of God’s order and the main thing is to destroy the family unit and the fabric of the family, to separate husband from wife, to take parents away from the children, to separate the children from the parents? Why do we have all this ungodliness? Why do we have all this wickedness? Why is it all this violence in America? I believe because it first started down the eroding the husband and wife situation and then eroding the family situation where there is no father, where there’s single parents, when the children don’t have any guide and rule of the father. Where they had no respect for the family unit. And all of these things are broke down. And the husband is living to satisfy his own desires and lusts. And the wife is living to satisfy her only desires and lusts. And they’ve gave their self to fulfill those lusts. And their children are let out to anyone until they’re being molested. mistreated, warped. And if they grow up, what do you expect the next generation to have? Do you expect them to have any mind to have a family unit when they don’t know anything about a family unit? Do you expect them to be holy and pure and clean when they’ve been molested and mistreated and slung around from post-traumatic? Oh, I believe it’s time we get back to the old landmarks and back to God and the Word of God. And the thing to bring it back is husbands and wives. Let’s put away all this pettiness, this competition. and began to submit one to the other and their particular need. The wife to submit to the husband’s lead. The husband to submit to the wife and supply her need and love one another and strive together as a unit and a love to make a family, to bring children in to the right environment and give them a chance to know God and the things of God. And I’ll tell you what, though the storms of life may blow from outside you’ll behind the protection of the power and the love of god and the holy ghost and god will take us through and we’ll weather any storm and any battle and when each family unit comes into the congregation of the church because the church is only strong as the sum total of all of its members and if there’s trouble in the homes of the families of the church there’s going to be trouble in church but when every family in the church is together and submitting one to another then we can do what the 20 verse first said we can submit one to another and we’re going to be a strong institution against sin and all the powers of darkness in this last day. How many say amen? We’ll be able to lift up the bloodstained banner to tell the world there is a deliverance. There is salvation. Young people, you can be saved and happy. Marriage is not a dirty word, but it’s a good sound thing that God the first matchmaker instituted and ordained. And you don’t have to run around with every Tom, Dick, and Harry and Jezebel to find sexual fulfillment with the… fear of getting age and VD, but that God, if you will pray, will give you a godly mate, a godly husband, a godly wife with the things that you lack. And together, you’ll join together and join your hearts and lives together and help one another. May God help us. And I hope this message has blessed you. Give him a good clap, all friends.
