SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. This morning we are going to continue and conclude the message that I’ve been sharing with you for the last several broadcasts that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called The Anointing. So join me now in our live service for the conclusion of this message, The Anointing. You can’t play in sin and get free and be anointed. Come out, be separate and get into the word. And so there’s a part you do. And then there’s the part God does. But it’s basically it’s drawing into his anointing. So and Creo is developing your spirit. And your inner man and getting into him because God will work in you. In Ezekiel 36, 27, Ezekiel 36, 27, God says, I will put my spirit. You can also say my anointing because the Holy Spirit is the anointing. I will put my spirit in you and I will move you to follow my decrees. So if you just turn to him and you get into his word, he will put his spirit in you. And then he’s starting to move you. I mean, he’s like urging you and pushing you in the direction. If you just go with it and let him. But you first have to make the step. You’ve got to turn. You’ve got to look. You’ve got to choose. You’ve got to separate from the world and from sin and things that would keep you in darkness. And you’ve got to separate and purify yourself from the ungodly. Purify yourself from the ungodly. Second Timothy two verses 20 to 22 say in a large house, there are vessels for both noble purposes and vessels for ignoble purposes. And if a man cleanses himself from the ladder, from the ignoble, he will be used for the noble purpose. Notice it doesn’t say if God cleanses a man from the ignoble, it says if a man cleanses himself from the ignoble. That’s the same thing in 2 Corinthians 6, 14. You come out from them and be separate. Chapter 7, verse 1, you purify yourself. There’s the steps that you have to take. to be purified, to come out and be separate and separating yourself. And if you will cleanse yourself from the ignoble, then God can use you for the noble purposes. Hallelujah. So there’s the cleansing that you do by separating yourself. And then there’s the cleansing that God does by his word and his blood and his spirit in you. And then his anointing can come on you and set you free inside. And I wanted to go back to the purification. And I mentioned the priests. Now, let me mention the blood. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. says in Hebrews. In Exodus, where we were reading about Aaron being anointed and his sons being anointed, they first had to be cleansed with blood. And Moses was supposed to take the blood and apply it to the right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toe. the blood of the bull sacrifice. That was a sin sacrifice for cleansing. And then the blood had to be applied. And in Hebrews, it says there is no forgiveness without blood. And so they were anointed, they were cleansed, I mean, cleansed with the blood on their right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toe. And then after that, then he took the oil and poured the oil over. It’s a very clear picture. You have to be cleansed by the blood. You have to be cleansed before the anointing can come on you. That means that the anointing cannot work through sinful vessels. or those living in sin, those who are not cleansing themselves and separating themselves. The anointing works through those who have purified themselves and they’ve separated themselves so that they can be holy. The holy means set apart. Sanctified means set apart to God. Hallelujah. So number one, purify yourself. Number two, abide in the presence of God. Abide in the presence of God. Let me quickly give you John 15. You remember the vine? Jesus said, I am the vine. You are the branches. And John 15 says in verses four and five. Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself. It must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing. And it goes on and it talks about it some more. So abiding in the presence of God, there is actually even the more you’re in the word and in prayer and fellowshipping with the spirit, even in worship, your own private. private time of prayer, studying the word and worship. You’re abiding in his presence. Well, that’s what Moses did when he was on the top of Mount Sinai in the glory and he came down radiant because he was in the presence of God. Well, you get into your prayer time and your Bible study time and your worship time and you’re soaking in his presence and you’re going to come out radiating with the anointing. Hallelujah. So abiding in the presence of God, number two, through the word, prayer and worship. Number three, receive it by faith. Everything has to be received by faith. Galatians 3, 26 and 27. We were baptized into Christ and we’ve clothed ourselves with Christ. The anointing Ephesians 3, 17 says so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Through faith, through faith. So there it’s by faith. You believe you receive, you declare it, you confess it. That’s where you write on your mirror and you say, I am anointed and you get in your car and you drive. I am anointed and I’m clothed in the anointing. I’m dunked in the anointing. So everybody say it again. I’m clothed in the anointing. I am anointed. I am. Hallelujah. And you say it, you receive it by faith. Number three. Number four, practice listening to your spirit and following the Holy Spirit. Practice listening to your spirit and following the Holy Spirit. You have to actually look for the anointing and follow it. It’s looking for the Holy Spirit. Where is the Holy Spirit? For example, even when I’m preaching, I’m trying to follow the Holy Spirit in my spirit and what to say. And I feel like he’s going this direction. I say it. Well, you need to do the same thing. And it goes right with obedience, right? When you are prompted to do something, do it. When you are prompted to say something, say it. And when you’re prompted and checked, don’t say that. Then don’t say it. It’s following the Holy Spirit. That goes right with number five. They actually go together. Submit to God. Yield to the anointing and walk in obedience. Submitting to God is submitting to the Holy Spirit and walking in it so that when the Holy Spirit tells you to do something, you do it. When the Holy Spirit tells you to give, you give. When the Holy Spirit tells you to talk, you talk. When the Holy Spirit tells you to pray, you pray. And so by following it. You practice it and you grow in it. Now, let me point out real quickly there that the anointing can grow. There are different levels of the anointing. Everybody starts out with a smaller level of anointing and they grow to a bigger level of anointing and if they pass the test. And usually it’s like graduating from class one to class two. And what do you do? How do you graduate? You take tests. Tests. And usually those tests are walking in love and forgiveness. You see, I remember several experiences on the mission field that were very hard. When I came out of them. The Holy Spirit clearly said to me, you passed the test and now you’re going to the next level. And when I minister to the next place, it was an obvious increase of anointing. Definitely increase of anointing because he said you passed the test. And that test is usually in relationships. It’s usually in relationships. It’s walking in love and forgiveness. And when you pass the test, then you qualify for more anointing. But another test is faithfulness. Another test is obedience because you can also quench the spirit. I mentioned that on the radio. You can quench the spirit by not obeying. And when you don’t obey, you get dull. You get dull to hearing, you get insensitive and you just stop following the Holy Spirit and you won’t even hear him anymore. It’s that’s a scary thing. In Hebrews chapter three, it says, do not harden your hearts like they did in the Israelites did in the wilderness. Hardening your heart makes you dull. It makes you deaf. It makes you insensitive. You can’t even hear God anymore. And that only happens over time of continual disobedience, continual resisting, continual not following and obeying and doing. So the more you do it, the more you sensitive you are. And then. Number six, you can also be near and around and learn from other people who are walking in the anointing. That’s where we learn from our spiritual fathers and our spiritual fathers learned from their spiritual fathers. They learned and then they did it. And now we learn and we do it. And then there’ll be others come along and they will learn how by watching you. So learn from others who are walking. And then number seven, protect the anointing. That means number one, walking in love, guarding your heart, guarding the anointing is guarding your heart because in Proverbs. four 23, it says above all else, guard your heart for out of it is the wellspring of life. That’s where the anointing flows. Guard your heart, guard it against all bitterness, anger, resentment, unforgiveness, and keep walking in love because from it, from your heart are the issues of life. There’s the anointings right there. So guard your heart and then walk in love. Last of all, walk in love. And now last point that I want to make. is how do you release the anointing? The anointing can be transferred. The anointing can be transferred. It is transferable two ways, by words and by touch, by words and by touch. Jesus healed the sick sometimes by speaking. Get up, take up your mat, walk and go home. You are ministering in the anointing when you’re sharing in a conversation with somebody and your words are ministering encouragement, comfort, hope, deliverance to them. So words carry the anointing. And the other way you transfer the anointing is by laying on of hands. That’s where we know the laying on of hands ministry for healing because you can actually transfer power through your hands. And so Jesus sometimes laid hands on the sick and transferred power. And when you lay hands on the sick or on somebody that you want to pray for them to minister for some reason, any reason, then what I encourage you to do, it’s what I do is in my mind, I’m imagining like electricity flowing through my arm and then down my arm and out my hand. That’s my faith working. I believe I’m actually releasing divine power. And I’m thinking of it like electricity shooting through my arm and out my hand when I lay hands on them. And then I touch them and I say, in the name of Jesus, be healed, be free, be encouraged, whatever it is I’m ministering. But it’s by faith. But you can do it by visually imagining it like electricity because it is. And that’s how you release it by faith. Hallelujah. Did I say by faith? I did. That was a major one there. So by faith, you operate in the anointing. By faith, you release the anointing. Amen. Praise God. Let’s close.
