SPEAKER 01 :
It’s the Kim Monson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 08 :
An early childhood taxing district? What on earth is that?
SPEAKER 01 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 08 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 01 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 08 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 01 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 08 :
Indeed. Let’s have a conversation. And welcome to The Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You eat your treasure. You’re valued. You have purpose. Today, strive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body, my friends. We were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda. and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. It is Friday, Producer Joe. Thank goodness it’s Friday. It’s been a heck of a week. It’s been quite a week, hasn’t it? We had some little technical challenges and a variety of things that happened, but it’s live radio. So coming to you to keep you informed about what’s going on, check out our website. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. Make sure you’re signed up for our weekly email newsletter. That way you’ll get first look at our upcoming guests as well as our most recent essays. You can email me at kim at kimmonson.com. Text line is 720-605-0647. I do want to hear from all of you. And thank you to all of you who support us. We are an independent voice on an independent station. searching for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And it’s never compassionate nor altruistic to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhood, or lives via force. Force can be a weapon, but it can be policy, unpredictable, and excessive taxation. Fees, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, and this agenda by the World Economic Forum and globalist elites that we see is playing out all the way down to our local governments. And people are stepping up and… Lakewood has four ballots. There’s going to be a special election regarding the rezoning of what’s happening in Lakewood. So there’s a lot of great stuff that’s going on out there. And we’ve got a studio full today. Pleased to have in studio with me Alan Thomas. He is a frequent guest. He’s an author at The Kim Monson Show. It’s good to have you.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s great being here, Kim. Thanks.
SPEAKER 08 :
And Cain, who is the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. Great to have you here. Task Force Freedom, noco.com. Noco.com. And Ben Williams, great sponsor of the show, Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. It’s great to have you here as well.
SPEAKER 13 :
Always a highlight to be here, Kim.
SPEAKER 08 :
Thank you. This is always a really special show, so it’s great to have all you guys here. Our word of the day is irascible. It’s I-R-A-S-C-I-B-L-E. And the definition on it is prone to outbursts of temper or easily angered. Number two, characterized by or resulting from anger. Or number three, prone to anger, easily provoked or inflamed to anger. choleric or irritable. And I would say that the radical activists, whoever is the puppeteers on this whole thing, is making many everyday people irascible. What do you think, Kane?
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 05 :
The marxicom pimps is what I like to call them. They’re irascible, and they’re causing mental illness to their followers. I know.
SPEAKER 08 :
I know. And we’re going to talk about what’s been going on. We’ll focus on that really in the second hour. But you’ve got a lot of your former law enforcement, former military. So you’ve got a perspective on that as well. And Ben Williams, you’re a veteran as well.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 08 :
So I’m sure you’ve got some thoughts on that. And Alan, your piece is regarding the Federalist Papers and immigration issues.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. So it’ll definitely be a lively discussion here at the bottom part of the hour, but you know, it’s, it’s interesting. That’s a great word because we found it more in vogue to be emotional to like, you know, they, they say, follow your heart, follow your passions. And it, Instead of actually following the facts or following reason, and that’s what we’ve been lacking from our discourse is really stepping back and taking the emotion out of it and saying, okay, let’s think about these issues, not about how it makes me feel, but rather what is actually going on? What is the problem? What is the issue and how do we actually solve it? Our politicians gain a lot from irascible arguments that drum up the emotions in us so that we ignore the actual policies that will actually make differences.
SPEAKER 08 :
That is exactly what’s happening. However, I’ve learned that I’ve really tried to learn how to control my anger. But as I’m seeing what’s happening down at the statehouse, I’m becoming very irascible.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, ma’am. And it’s not the anger, the person that’s angry, the person that has all that energy. It’s the person that’s very quiet. We learned this in the military and also in law enforcement. It’s not the person in your face that’s screaming and yelling at you. It’s that guy in the background that’s watching your every move, trying to figure out how he can at some point get to you. And those quiet people are the ones that are not in public. They send their minions, I like to call them brainwashed spider monkeys. They send those folks out to do their dirty work, and then they just hide. And these people are pawns. Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER 08 :
And I think it’s unfortunate. It is unfortunate. And we’ll talk. I think there’s kind of three different things happening with all that. There’s the ponds and then there’s the.
SPEAKER 05 :
person watching behind kind of moving things and then there’s something up here and i don’t know it’s something that’s very evil i think and i i love your show because you you um always say that we’re we’re not into the eighth grade name calling things and except when kane’s on the show and i have some new ones today so i’m probably going to use them but you have to forgive me but these are these people are the enemy And if you don’t demonize the enemy, they will run through you. If you don’t identify them, I mean, which is why we, during World War II, we called the Japanese, what did we call them? Japs, chinks, that was to demean them so that our soldiers could go out and fight that enemy that we call these horrible names. I mean, it goes back to being called, the N-word, too. It’s the same thing. But, anyways. I’m going to be quiet.
SPEAKER 08 :
No, you’re not.
SPEAKER 05 :
In the background, watching. Oh, and I love the fact, I can’t remember her name, the young lady that has the drive-in movie theater. Susan Kochuar. She called us the dream team.
SPEAKER 08 :
She calls us, you guys, the dream team. Oh, man.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think she’s got it right.
SPEAKER 08 :
You guys don’t get a big head here, okay? Well, let’s continue on. The next thing is our quote of the day. And since it’s Friday, we go to the Center for American Values and their Medal of Honor quote book. And this is regarding Staff Sergeant Caviani. And actually, we had done a show. Now, all of a sudden, I’m drawing a blank on my guest, who is a great storyteller. I will figure that out. But he told the story of Staff Sergeant Caviani. And we’ll start with his citation. Alan, go ahead and do the first half of this.
SPEAKER 06 :
Staff Sergeant Caviani distinguished himself with conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty in action in the Republic of Vietnam on the 4th and 5th of June 1971, while serving as a platoon leader to a security platoon providing security for an isolated radio relay site located within enemy-held territory. On the morning of 4 June 1971, the entire camp came under an intense barrage of enemy small arms, automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenade, and mortar fire from a superior-sized enemy force. Staff Sergeant Cavagliani acted with complete disregard for his personal safety as he repeatedly exposed himself to heavy fire from the enemy in order to move about the camp’s perimeter directing the platoon’s fire and rallying the platoon in a desperate fight for survival. Staff Sergeant Cavallani also returned heavy suppressive fire upon the assaulting enemy force during this period with a variety of weapons. When the entire platoon was to be evacuated, Staff Sergeant Cavallani unhesitatingly volunteered to remain on the ground and direct the helicopters into the landing zone. Staff Sergeant Cavallani was able to direct the first three helicopters in evacuating a major portion of the platoon. Due to an intense increase in enemy fire, Staff Sergeant Caviani was forced to remain at the camp overnight, where he calmly directed the remaining platoon members in strengthening their defenses. On the morning of 5 June, a heavy ground fog restricted visibility. The superior-sized enemy force launched a major ground attack in an attempt to completely annihilate the remaining small force.
SPEAKER 08 :
The enemy force advanced in two ranks, first firing a heavy volume of small arms automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenade fire, while the second rank continuously threw a steady barrage of hand grenades at the beleaguered force. Staff Sergeant Caviani returned a heavy barrage of small arms and hand grenade grenades Fire on the assaulting members to attempt to escape while he provided them with cover of fire. With one last courageous exertion, Staff Sergeant Caviani recovered a machine gun, stood up, completely exposing himself to the heavy enemy fire directed at him, and began firing the machine gun in a sweeping motion along the two ranks of the advancing enemy soldiers. Through Staff Sergeant Caviani’s valiant efforts with complete disregard for his safety, the majority of the remaining platoon members were able to escape. While inflicting severe losses on the advancing enemy force, Staff Sergeant Caviani was wounded numerous times. Staff Sergeant Caviani’s conspicuous gallantry, extraordinary heroism, and intrepidity at the risk of his life, above and beyond the call of duty, were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the U.S. Army. And this is what he said. He said, And that’s John R. Caviani. Remember, it was Keith McKim who does all of this, a lot of storytelling on our Medal of Honor recipients, and we have recorded him for America’s Veterans Stories, and he is a wonderful storyteller, and he has told the story of John R. Caviani, United States Army Medal of Honor, June 4, 1971. And I would recommend that you have the Medal of Honor quote book at home on your Freedom Library. You can order that by going to the website for the Center for American Values, and that is AmericanValuesCenter.org, AmericanValuesCenter.org. And Ben Williams, Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. It was a short night because last night was our Colorado Union of Taxpayers legislative kickoff. I thank you for being there. I thank you for the support that you give to the Kim Monson Show and all the projects that we do. And whenever you show up, you’re like, what can I do to help? And I so appreciate that. Thank you.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, thank you, Kim. It was an honor to be there, and it was the first time that I was at that event. It was very eye-opening. We have some humble servants working down at the state capitol for a thankless job, and it was just neat to meet these people, and they’re just everyday people like we are.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and as president of CUT, Colorado Union of Taxpayers, and it was a pretty amazing spread that we had as well. Ramey Johnson, one of our board members, and the whole board, they provided all the food. It was beautiful.
SPEAKER 13 :
Over the top. It was amazing.
SPEAKER 08 :
And then Natalie Minton provided all the beer and wine, which was amazing. And so it was a great event. But I want to say thank you to this amazing group of people. And that is my fellow board members, Steve Dorman, Greg Golanski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Ramey Johnson, Mary Janssen, Dave Evans, Corey Onozorg, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. These people are very special people, giving their time, really standing up, standing in the gap to provide analysis regarding legislation down at the Statehouse. And I so appreciate each and every one of them. And again, hats off to Ramey for the great job that she did organizing everything. Thank you, Natalie. Ben, I had… One faux pas. Well, I had more than one faux pas, but this is one. I had invited leadership to speak and Senate Minority Leader Cleve Simpson said he had a prior engagement and that he would come by at 730. Well, at 720, We had done the whole program, so we, I forgot. So we’re closing everything down, and I look up, and there he is.
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, no.
SPEAKER 08 :
And it’s like, oh, I am so sorry. And he was so gracious, because their time is so valuable. Yeah. And so I will get him on the show, but I thank him for showing up and I want to value their time. But we had a great, great time honoring our cut, our taxpayer protectors, our champion and our guardians and our warriors. And many of them were there. And so it was really special. So thanks for being there.
SPEAKER 13 :
It was great to be there. It was quite an event.
SPEAKER 08 :
It was quite the event. Yes, it was. So let’s go ahead and go to break. Wanted to mention a couple of other sponsors, though. First of all, Laramie Energy is a great sponsor of the show. And, of course, I was slow in getting my homework done. So on our commercial vehicles – They also saved us half of what we have been paying. Wow.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s real money in your pocket.
SPEAKER 13 :
And it was $2,000 savings on our homeowners and personal vehicles. It’s like, wow, ka-ching, ka-ching. Thank you, Roger.

SPEAKER 06 :
Always great being here.
SPEAKER 08 :
And Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. As you know, if you have any challenges with your own personal climate, reach out to Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. So what do we need to learn today, Ben?
SPEAKER 13 :
Kim, if I told you that I could help save $10,000 to $20,000 in the next handful of years, would you be interested in that?
SPEAKER 08 :
I would, yes.
SPEAKER 13 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 08 :
That was the correct answer, but I would. That was the correct answer.
SPEAKER 13 :
Let me share something with you. So last time we talked about this new law that went into effect January 1st about the ultra-low NOx legislation that affects all gas appliances. And so unfortunately one of the things that is being done out there, a lot of the service technicians are being told by their companies, go out and tell the people that your furnace, your AC, your water heater is no longer code compliant and it needs to be replaced. Right. Okay. So this is something that you guys don’t even have to write this down. You can just remember this. The first chapter in every book is chapter one. Kim, you’re on a roll.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, man.
SPEAKER 13 :
So you can ask this service technician, do you have a code book? They’ll be like, oh, well, I think there’s one back at the shop or whatever. Somebody might have one. And you can tell them, you need to look at chapter one. Kim, I’ve got a couple spots highlighted. Now, every code book in chapter one starts out with the stuff that’s not exciting. It’s, you know, here’s what it applies to, the jurisdiction, blah, blah, blah. I’ve highlighted a couple spots in there. Would you mind reading those for me, Kim?
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, this is Section 102A, 102.2, Existing Installations. It says, Yeah. Yeah. shall be maintained in compliance with the addition of the code under which they are installed.
SPEAKER 13 :
So in layman’s terms, that means you can keep it. If it was installed whatever number of years ago. Good job, by the way. Thank you. That’s some exciting reading, isn’t it? Yeah, whatever code cycle it was installed under, that applies regardless of the code changes that go on. So when they come out and tell you, hey, you know, your furnace, whatever, is no longer code compliant, we need to replace it, you can say, please read chapter one in your code book. No, it does not need replaced. Boom, you’ve just saved $10,000 to $20,000. Wow. Here’s number two. Call for a second opinion. We had a lady just a week or so ago. She has called out this company every year to come and take care of her furnace. Every year something needs replaced. This year they said, well, we need to remove and clean the blower motor. We need to clean the secondary heat exchanger. The combustion air blower and inducer assembly need replaced. They said the inducer motor is over-amping and significantly almost double what it’s rated for. The heat exchanger is heavily rusted on the inside. This was also an issue last year, but on the outside of the heat exchanger, it doesn’t appear to have rusted through yet. With the system’s age and heat exchanger corrosion, repairs are probably not the best option at this time. Your furnace is dying and you should consider replacing it. So she’s looking at a big bill. She was talking to her neighbor who happened to know us, and he said, hey, why don’t you give Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling a call at 303-995-1636 for a second opinion? I want to brag on my son for a minute. You know, we all hope that our children grow up to be honorable people. I tell you what, my heart was so warmed. He went out, and as you know, Kim.
SPEAKER 08 :
And you’re in business. Benz, it’s B-E-N-Z, but there’s two Benz, right?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, my spelling was never great in school, so that’s why I went with the Z. But yeah, my son is Ben Jr. He went out, did a very thorough job. I’m just going to read a couple highlights here. He says, I checked the amp draw on the inducer draft motor. It was within tolerance. I checked the airflow across the heat exchanger. It was the proper amount as designed. The manufacturer’s specs call for 0.5 inches of water column, and it measured at 0.47, which is with intolerance. I know this is all just numbers, but he’s very specific is the point I’m trying to make.
SPEAKER 08 :
I’ve met him, yes.
SPEAKER 13 :
He says the inside of the heat exchanger, now remember this is what they wrote up as all rusty and need replaced. The inside of the heat exchanger has a few freckles of rust, nothing that is concerning or out of the ordinary. I also checked the temperature rise to make sure it was within the manufacturer’s specs. I did a carbon monoxide check. I normally check the gas pressure, but did not on your furnace because the gas control valve on your furnace is self-regulating. I cleaned the flame sensor. I checked the capacitor. It was within tolerance. I did vacuum out dust and a few leaves and spider webs that were on the interior of the furnace. This is after they had been out for a check and clean.
SPEAKER 11 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 13 :
He says everything is in relatively new condition. Your furnace is 10 years old and probably doesn’t need service for the next few years.
SPEAKER 08 :
$10,000 to $20,000, huh?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, $10,000 to $20,000. This lady responds back. She says your honesty is greatly appreciated, by the way. The furnace is humming along. We had a dusty smell in the house for the last year on and off, and now it’s gone.
SPEAKER 11 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 13 :
Simple way to save $10,000 to $20,000. Just call for a second opinion. Tell them to read chapter one. And, you know, Kim, it would be interesting if Kurt was here. Kurt Gerwitz. Kurt Gerwitz, yeah. I Googled something, and this isn’t a fair question to pose, but I looked up what percentage of HVAC contractors in the Denver metro area are dishonest. Now, we’ve all been dishonest at some point in our life, so that’s not a fair way to phrase that question. But it was really interesting. It says industry data suggests a high prevalence of improper installations, and local reports highlight a recurring issue with unethical high-pressure sales tactics. Studies indicate that up to 90% of HVAC systems are installed with some form of error. It goes on talking about high-pressure sales, overcharging by hundreds of thousands of dollars, and how companies are pushing for full system replacements when only repairs are needed.
SPEAKER 18 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 13 :
And that got me thinking about just, you know, the state of our nation, which you talk about on your show all the time, our nation, our state, our cities. There’s so much dishonesty and… You know, I love America’s veteran stories, hearing just the things that happened with these guys. And sometimes you wonder, what would our kids do if they were in those situations? So, Kim, several months ago, you had somebody on, and I’m sorry I don’t remember, but they were talking about our educational system. And they mentioned the McGuffey readers that were the standard in schools up through the early 1900s. I ordered a set and they have primer through sixth grade. My son and I are going through these and I am learning what I did not learn in school. Holy cow. They are so informative. And you know, when you give the word of the day and you talk about this as a transitive noun and I’m like, I don’t even know what that is. You learn that kind of stuff in here, but here’s what is so fascinating about these McGuffey readers is, They have incredible stories where values and virtues are woven into it. They’re like real-life stories that you can totally relate to. You know, here’s a child who was given an assignment. They cheated and… The parent says, oh, you know, okay, you can go out and play because I trust you. I know that you’ve done a good job. And then they start feeling guilty and they go back and confess to the parent, you know, I didn’t do it. And the parent says, well, you know what? I knew that, but I was hoping that you would make things right. And I’m glad that you came back and confessed your sin. And I’m proud of you and I love you. Wow. These are the types of values. that were just woven into the life, the fabric of life of people who fought in World War II. And it just made me understand this is why they made those tough decisions. They were willing to sacrifice their life for a higher purpose. And I think if these types of values are put into our children, it can change a generation. So I would encourage people. Now, I will tell you the price vastly varies when you look up at McGuffey Readers. You can either buy an individual book or buy the whole set. They have a primer plus first through sixth grade. You’ll probably learn some stuff, but buy these for your children or grandchildren. And if there is a homeschool family out there, Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling would like to make two sets available for a couple of homeschool families. So if you’re aware of a homeschool family or some situation where this would really be beneficial, give me a call or a text. I’ll make two available, 303-995-1636. But I would also encourage people Order these and get these into the hands of people. They have great pictures in them, a ton of information. And it’s really inspiring to go through these and go like, wow, this is what made our nation great, and we need to get back to that again.
SPEAKER 08 :
So on that point, I actually have that at home, but I had started to go through it, and I’m going to pull that back out and do that. But, Ben, what we have seen in Cain, this is going to be right down your alley. is in curriculum, is there’s only a certain amount of hours in the day. And when we see in curriculum, we’ve seen the radical activists that have taken over the Democrat Party have been pushing these agendas. For example, curricula is supposed to, I think here in Colorado, highlight LGBTQ achievements. Absolutely. I love achievements of people. I don’t like to have that agenda. But those – they know that if they can push this onto our children, that it changes things. Just like that changed – that’s what created the greatest generation. Cain, as you know, they know that if they can get into the curriculum and they’re infusing this throughout all subjects – then they are really affecting these children.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s an organized effort to change the culture, to move that Overton window. I thought you would like that. But to move that Overton window, and so if they can affect the kids today, they will own the kids when they’re 18, 19, 20. Exactly. With the confusion. Can I say this about you, Ben? Because you bring me to tears sometimes. Your company is amazing. I’ve been in business for 20, 30 years. And usually the people that are taken advantage of by contractors or plumbers or electrician are women. Absolutely. And older women. And they don’t know. And the fact that you simply send your amazing son out and he can see this and go, no, we’re not going to do this to this lady. Yeah. I think even with you saying, hey, just get a second opinion, and you weren’t really trying to push your own business. I’m like, get your second opinion from Ben’s Plumbing. These are amazing. It’s an amazing company and run by amazing people.
SPEAKER 08 :
And what’s that phone number? 303-995-1636. And again, Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. For that second opinion, take care of your own personal climate. In studio with me is Kane, Alan Thomas, and Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. We get to have these great discussions because of our great sponsors. And one of those sponsors is Teddy and Rosia Collins with the Second Syndicate and Spartan Defense in Colorado Springs.
SPEAKER 10 :
Today, particularly in Colorado, your Second Amendment right to keep and bear firearms is under relentless attack. The Second Amendment is in our Bill of Rights to ensure that each individual has the right to resist oppression, stand firm against government overreach, and protect our right to defend ourselves, our families, and our freedoms. Take your children out of the government schools. I got a quote from Vody Bauckham. It says, we cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans.
SPEAKER 08 :
True that. Wow. True that. And that is Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. What’s that phone number? 303-995-1636. Okay, and now we’re going to jump into this very interesting essay by Alan Thomas. Alan Thomas is in studio, frequent guest host of the show. Federalist 42 and the Case Against State-Level Immigration Gains. Where should we start?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I mean, obviously the elephant in the room is, you know, this is a lot due to what we’ve seen happen in Minnesota over the past couple of weeks. Right. With the obstruction of ICE, of course, with the tragedies that have occurred. And I really wanted to take… maybe a step above it, not a step above the issue, but maybe just look down upon it at a 50,000 foot view, as opposed to getting bogged down with the details of watching video and watching it in slow motion to take a step back and say, how did we get to this point? why is this an issue? And it’s kind of funny because, you know, whenever there’s a Republican president, all of a sudden Democrats get very interested in states’ rights all of a sudden. And they quote the Constitution. And they start quoting the Constitution to get what they want. And so I really wanted to just take, again, a step back and say, you know, were these events foreseeable? Could these have been prevented? Is our Constitution still built for the modern moment? And when it comes to immigration, of course, we’re talking about federal officers. We’re talking about federal law. And we’ve seen a lot of states really try to bypass this through issuing their own state IDs, through allowing non-citizens to get specific benefits. Of course, we live in a… sanctuary state and a sanctuary city is where we’re being broadcast from and we’ve seen that become very popular throughout all these blue run areas and so it’s sitting here going okay is this a wise and prudent idea is this idea of a state and a city having this right is that even allowable and It’s kind of funny when you think about these issues because really we think about the Constitution almost in a vacuum without realizing that they did try something prior to our Constitution. We had the Articles of Confederation, and we learned a lot of lessons through those articles, a lot of bad lessons, a lot of lessons of, hey, this isn’t a good way to govern people. And when those Articles of Confederation were crafted— They really were fearful of a centralized federal government. They wanted to decentralize the government as much as possible and too much so because it actually created more chaos. And Federalist 42 is very interesting because it talks about why the Constitution is constructed the way it is. It talks about why some issues are federal only issues, why some issues are left open to the states, why some issues are specifically prohibited from the states. And then kind of the in between of here’s why we didn’t include this issue. Here’s kind of where there’s maybe some overlap between the federal and the states. And one of the one of the main cases for having immigration being a what they call uniform law is. across all of the states and why it needs to be a federal issue is because state constitutions at the time had their own definitions, all 13 of them, about what a state citizen was and how rights were conferred to that state citizen. And there was a lot of ambiguity. There was some state constitutions that said an inhabitant of the state could be a citizen. And as we well know, vague language leads to a lot of chaos sometimes, right? And so one state could have very vague language. And what we found was, or what they found was, was that a person could go to this state that has very ambiguous language, an inhabitant, right? and then be conferred the right of citizen in that state, and then they can just travel to other states and that reciprocity would be shared amongst all the other states. So they’re given legitimacy by finding states who have vague language, becoming a citizen there and traveling. And so it led to this chaos and this abuse of a system under the Articles of Confederation to the point that when the architects of the Constitution sat down, they said, we have an issue here. We have an issue of we are now one country. We aren’t 13 individual countries that get to decide this. And one state should not have the power to undermine the rest of the states with regards to this issue. So we need to have the ability for the federal government to decide the naturalization process, who becomes a citizen, and how that can be shared across the country. Because this experiment of having 13 different states interests come up to the table and try and decide what the law should be isn’t the right and proper way to go. It’s leading to too much chaos. It’s leading to too much animus between the states. You know, one state that has very strict standards is getting upset at the state that has lower standards. And so let’s just take that away. We’re going to take that away from the states. This is a federal issue. It should apply to the whole country. And therefore, We will have this uniform law that can then also be decided by the states and by the people on what the law should be. So the states still have an interest in this, but now they have to send their senators to go argue for the states’ rights. And now we, the people, get to send our representatives and the House of Representatives to argue about what should be immigration law, but that will only be controlled by the federal government.
SPEAKER 08 :
Fascinating. And so where we have California, or we have Sanctuary State, Colorado, Sanctuary State, Denver, Sanctuary City, that just butts up right against the Constitution then, what they decided, correct?
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. And we’ve kind of come full circle. And whether that’s ignorance of the past or specifically wanting to undermine the constitutional legitimacy of our country… I can’t say exactly which it is. Is it just not having knowledge of what we did and how the Constitution is constructed? Or is there a legitimate desire by these states to undermine the Constitution? I think a lot of us in this room think that a lot of folks believe in the constitutional legitimacy until it does something antithetical to what they want to do. So I understand that argument. But I also do believe that a lot of people just aren’t educated about what our Constitution was meant to do and why, and that there are good reasons why. Immigration isn’t the only uniform law that they said, hey, this can, state by state, we can undermine each other. Bankruptcy law was actually said State by state, you can’t do bankruptcy law. You know, if you have one state that’s very lenient on bankruptcy, well, the business will move to that state, declare bankruptcy, and all the debtors in the other state that have more strict bankruptcy law will get undermined. It’ll lead to a complete, you know, economical market mess. If bankruptcy law isn’t uniform across the country, similar to how immigration is. So there’s a lot of purpose in the way that our constitution was constructed and why. And we’ve kind of gone, full circle now to the state saying, well, we don’t like what they’re doing at the federal level, so we’re just going to try and undermine it by doing our own thing and by obstructing federal officers, obstructing federal law because we don’t agree with it. And that’s leading to the same chaos that happened prior to our Constitution being enacted in the supreme law of the land.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I take a more irascible viewpoint on this subject matter.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
And, Kane, what is that? These people are doing this on purpose. I’ve always said that the Democrat Party, the marxicoms, the pimps, don’t care about our Constitution. They do not honor the rule of law, and it’s done on purpose. So me, as an illegal alien, I can go into California, right? I can get a bunch of benefits, and then when I don’t like California, I’ll just go to Florida, right? And so what’s to stop me? Because I came in illegally. I was welcomed with open arms with their whole system there. But now I get to migrate to other states. And it infects the entire country. And they did it on purpose.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that’s a great point. And that’s, I think, the point I also make, too, is that these actions don’t happen in a vacuum. You know, we are a very interconnected country. And that’s why when they… designed it this way. They did it on purpose because these actions that Colorado, California, Illinois, New York make actually have a consequence in other states who don’t want to do this. So this idea that I can be a sanctuary state doesn’t impact the states that don’t want to be sanctuary states is not one because they’re conferring legitimacy through issuing these state IDs. So they’re not necessarily saying they’re a citizen, but they are giving legitimacy to the individual who can then move to the states having that state-issued ID and the reciprocity that the states have with each other so that everybody plays nice in the sandbox. And they’re abusing the system. And I agree with you. I think there are a lot of people that do want to just get rid of the Constitution, but there also are a lot of people ignorant of what the constitution is and why it was done and so when they listen to these Sophistic arguments that that these leaders that the political leaders make they sound good they sound emotionally pleasing but this actually isn’t about just compassion intent this is about bypassing constitutional structure and is that a wise thing to do in our country
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, it’s creating chaos and confusion, and that never ends well. So we’re going to continue the discussion. We have Kane and Ben Williams and Alan Thomas in studio, and we have these great discussions because of our sponsors. SPEAKER 08 :
And welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. And a couple of things. This came in from one of our listeners, Dave, said, my opinion, the chaos is a deliberate distraction from the corruption, which I think he’s nailed it. Because I think that this corruption issue is, I think, going to be the issue that is going to get people’s attention because it affects their pocketbooks. When you look at people that are families trying to keep it together, higher energy costs, higher insurance costs, higher food costs, all of this, and they realize they’ve been paying taxes for that corrupt politicians and bureaucrats and interested parties have been basically stealing from us. I think this is going to be the thing that I think we can really talk about. Alan, what do you think?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and if I could piggyback off of it as well, I definitely agree with that. But I also, with a very bold pen, want to say that what are politicians most interested in happening here? And that typically is get reelected, right? We talk about this very often about what are the incentives that we have for our politicians. And, you know, the politicians that are involved in corruption, yes, they are very interested in that not being found out so they can get reelected. So what has happened and what is happening with ICE is could our constitution have prevented this? And that was the question we kind of posed at the very beginning is, is was our Constitution built for this modern moment? And we definitely have both sides yelling at each other about this issue of immigration. And I really kind of sat back and said, wait a minute. We have rhetoric and debate about an enforcement agency actually enforcing the rules passed to it by Congress. We have a lot of ire directed toward a president whose executive branch is responsible constitutionally for enforcing laws and regulations. Now, if they exceed those laws and regulations, absolutely, 100%. I think everyone in this room would say, if you’re exceeding your constitutional authority, we’re going to have a very serious discussion in this room, no matter who the president is or no matter what the agency is. We’re going to sit here and we’re going to say, if you violate the Constitution – We’re going to be opposed to you in whatever fashion we can. But it seems that we are kind of getting distracted with this whole ICE discussion of putting the messenger under the direct spotlight where the message actually should be. And immigration has been a federal law and federal regulation since the inception of this country. And yet for the past couple decades, as long as I’ve been involved politically, and I’m sure you guys can back me up with a little bit longer, immigration has been front and center of almost everybody’s campaign pitch, Democrat and Republican. And what I want to highlight is this is not just a Republican problem. This is not just a Democrat problem. Both sides are directly responsible for this because going all the way back to President Clinton, he had two years where he had the House and the Senate and the White House. He could have done something. George W. Bush had four years where he had the House, the Senate and the presidency. They could have done something. Barack Obama had two years where he had the House, the Senate, the presidency. He could have done something. Joe Biden technically had the Senate by a tiebreaker vote. As we know, the vice president breaks a 50 50 tie. He also had the House for two years. He could have done something. President Trump has had the House and the Senate for over a year now. If we wanted to actually change the laws surrounding immigration and start to actually try something different and fix the problem of immigration, every president since Clinton has had the capacity and the ability to do so. But instead of fixing the problem… They are more interested in using that problem to run campaign promises around immigration. And we, the American people, have abdicated our agency… of telling our politicians that they need to fix this problem. They need to change how we do things. They need to make it easier for good people to get in and bad people to stay out. They need to make that change, but instead of actually holding our representatives accountable, we have abdicated our responsibility as citizens for demanding for them to change it because our politicians have been incentivized to use this to incite our emotions, incite our feelings, to drive us to not look at this issue and actually demand change. And we have not made any large-scale immigration reform or change, despite that being a campaign promise from Clinton to Bush to Obama to Biden to now Trump. And that is our fault as America. That is not just the politicians’ fault because we have not made them be accountable to their elected positions and their full-scale abdication of this issue.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think our system is set up perfectly. There is a pathway to become an American citizen. What our politicians have done is ignored that, and we’ve allowed people to sneak into our country, and then we reward them. If we just honor the laws, enforce the laws, this problem goes away. And I’m pretty sure the Trump administration has proven that over the last 12 months.
SPEAKER 06 :
But there still is the issue. Absolutely. That’s what I am saying. Just because President Biden didn’t enforce law and created this issue, he certainly deserves a whole lot of ire and well-deserved ire. President Trump doesn’t deserve all the ire just because he’s enforcing it now, but is this how we’re going to yo-yo now as a country? We’re going to have one president who believes this ideology, who just won’t enforce laws. The other will come in and actually enforce laws, but not actually change anything. So what is that going to actually do to people who want to get into our country? They’re going to sit here and say, okay, well, when the right person’s in power, I got four years. When the wrong person’s in power, I have to lay low for four years. We are a country that should respect the rule of law. And so to those who think our immigration system is broken, who don’t like ICE, I challenge you to go out there and talk to your representative and say, do something, propose something, change something. Mm-hmm. We should not sit here. It’s a very progressive idea to say we have so many laws on the books that we’re only going to pick and choose which laws we want to enforce at which time so that everybody is a nation of rule breakers and we can just decide who we want to, you know, attack the ticket to. That’s not a way for our country to succeed. We will fall apart if we attack the institutions so heedlessly. Hmm. And both sides do it. And both sides have had the opportunity to submit a change and say, you know what? I want the good folks coming in. Let’s make it easier for them to get in. We haven’t done that in decades. We haven’t said, let’s make it more difficult to get in. President Trump has. But has he fixed the issue long term or has he just fixed the issue temporarily during his term? And then when another President Biden gets in, he can full scale do do what President Biden did and undermine everything Trump did.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, Congress needs to be doing their job. And that’s where that. So I think we can agree, though, if you are coming here to hurt us. Nope. If you’re coming here to defraud us, nope. And if you’re coming here to live off of the American middle class, basically, no.
SPEAKER 05 :
And if you’re not willing to and you don’t have the desire to assimilate, then go home. Right. We don’t need you or want you here.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. If you prefer your country of origin, stay there.
SPEAKER 05 :

It’s the Kim Monson Show. Analyzing the most important stories.
Indeed, let’s have a conversation. Welcome to our number two of the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Friday, Producer Joe. Happy Friday, Kim. And a great spirited first hour. If you missed it, you can listen to that again today in hour one to two on all KLZ 560 platforms. The show comes to you live Monday through Friday, 6 to 8 a.m. The first hour is rebroadcast one to two in the afternoon. The second hour. 10 to 11 at night, and that is on KLZ 560 AM, 100.7 FM, the KLZ website, and the KLZ app. As you know, we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to force people to do it. And as you also know, we focus on the issues, and we’ll mention the people behind those issues, but stay out of the personality emotion that has really been driving a lot of public discourse in particular around this issue of immigration of which we talked with alan thomas in the first hour regarding federalist 42 the founders realized if we did not get this immigration thing figured out that it would devolve into chaos and confusion and here we are
SPEAKER 06 :
Right, and kind of one thing we didn’t mention is the power of naturalization law is under federal authority, but that law can always be changed. And that’s why we talked about the political class really abdicating their responsibility by not changing immigration law for decades and decades and just using it as a way to whip up votes. But they didn’t enshrine immigration. all the immigration laws into the Constitution. They said, hey, this is a power that the federal government has. But yeah, things are going to change throughout history. So we do need Congress to change accordingly. And so that’s a lot of the wisdom in what the founders did is they did the Constitution as a governing document is actually really brief. it’s a pretty short governing document when you really think about it, because they knew things would have to change. And they didn’t say they had all the right ideas then, but they did say, we know what powers the federal government should have. And here’s why. And here’s why these little state games that all these Democrat states and cities are playing, this is why they’re dangerous. And they’re very anti-constitutional and undermining the very legitimacy of the constitution.
SPEAKER 05 :
And I think what’s lacking is, The accountability and the consequence of those who violate this law, who violate our Constitution. There’s no consequence for these people, mostly because our voting system is so fraudulent. Once we correct that, then we can start removing these people.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and Susan had texted this regarding, let’s see here, she said, regarding immigration. She said she thinks it’s a little more than that. If you have a state that packs itself full of citizens, they can output the rest of the country because they get more representation. And that is, she said, this is part of the reason why we need to return to having the Senate elected by state legislators. And that was a change in the Constitution during the progressive, what, 1914, something like that. And that’s the same time frame where the income tax was passed. And both those things really changed the fabric of the country.
SPEAKER 05 :
So if you can flood your state with,
SPEAKER 06 :
illegal humans they’ll become a part of the census right which allows you to get more representation and in the house of representatives and so and that was done on purpose by these marxicoms on purpose and then its continuation happens due to a lack of civic education right because they can they can make these arguments with it with the understanding that if the everyday citizen doesn’t truly understand how and why the constitution was made then um then how can they get away with it? That’s how they do it. A lack of education about our Constitution and why is why they get away with it.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, and one other thing. Producer Joe, you had a comment. I just wanted to make that point, too. A higher number on the census as well means more money for funding, too. Oh, excellent point.
SPEAKER 05 :
But you brought up the education, which is why we have a horrible, horrible system. They’ve done it on purpose. Our kids don’t know. Our kids can’t write in cursive, which means they cannot read our Declaration of Independence. A constitution. They can’t read it.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that’s why bringing in the McGuffey reader, or the McGuffey eclectic, is it the reader?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, McGuffey eclectic readers. Yeah, they teach cursive writing along with reading skills, morals and virtues, and even how to speak publicly. It’s an amazing set of books.
SPEAKER 08 :
So Christine from Colorado Springs said this, you can read some of the McGuffey’s readers for free on Internet Archive. And McGuffey’s first eclectic reader, William Holmes, 1800 to 1873, free download, borrow and streaming. One other thing you had mentioned earlier. Alan, and that is the rule of law. And I think that we as Americans, we hear rule of law. But when we have our elected representatives take the oath to uphold the Constitution, what that means is the laws that they’re going to be putting before each other to vote on, they are supposed to be constitutional. We have so many laws now. that are not constitutional. And so how do we get around this when they say rule of law, but yet they’re obviously not following the rule of law with immigration in Minnesota, right?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, Alan, how do we get around this?
SPEAKER 1 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I believe part of what we’re seeing, part of the brilliance of what this current Supreme Court is doing is they are starting to actually say, hey, there’s a lot of unconstitutional stuff going on and we’re going to shoot it down. What they’re doing, especially with the Second Amendment, shooting down these state by state mandates is absolutely incredible. And it’s a very good thing. So. part of it is trusting in the process a little bit and saying we do need to bring this before the supreme court we do need to use the the architecture of the constitution to solve some of these constitutional issues part of it also is education and then the other part of it is just bringing back the agency to the citizens to say you know what if my representative keeps proposing unconstitutional things i need to kick them out and Lastly, it’s just also helping fellow citizens see why there’s an issue, why this progressive idea of creating a codex of laws that is so expansive that everybody’s probably breaking a law. They just don’t know it. That’s why it’s a bad idea, and that’s why we don’t need more laws. We need more succinct laws, and we need more common sense laws, and we need to bring it back to what it actually should be. And so that’s anti-progressive model and why that’s a good idea.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and this is a great segue into talking with Teddy Collins. He is a co-owner of Spartan Defense, which is a great firearm store in Colorado Springs. He is also running for Colorado Senate, and he’s a candidate there. Teddy Collins, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 21 :
Hey, Kim. Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and it was great to see you last night. You attended the Colorado Union of Taxpayers legislative kickoff. You’ve also signed the cut pledge, which is great. We’re focusing on protecting the taxpayer, protecting TABOR, Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights, property rights, and parental rights. But thank you for attending last night, Teddy.
SPEAKER 21 :
Absolutely. And I’ll also just mention that if any candidate hasn’t signed that, you should be asking why not. Every candidate should sign that pledge.
SPEAKER 08 :
And every elected representative as well. Teddy, last night you mentioned, well, a couple of things. Tell us what happened because you were down at the Statehouse testifying regarding a bill which is designed to make it more difficult for people to keep and bear firearms to protect ourselves against bad actors. So you were down at the Statehouse on Tuesday, yes? Yes.
SPEAKER 21 :
Correct, yeah. They’re for SB 26004, Senate Bill 26. Another introduction by the old Tom Sullivan, the person who introduces about 90% of the anti-liberty bills in the legislature. And… So that’s… Yep, go ahead, Kim.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and what happened with that bill that day?
SPEAKER 21 :
So it did end up passing the first reading and committee. It does have to go to the general floor votes and then the final passage votes, as well as over to the House. So it’s far from being passed yet, but… Essentially, what this bill does is it expands red flag laws and people who can red flag individuals here in the state of Colorado. It takes it away from just being family members or people that are close with the individual and allows institutions such as medical facilities or medical practitioners and even teachers to red flag people now. And just to be clear, red flag laws are a violation of due process. They’re a violation of the Fourth Amendment, the 14th Amendment and the Sixth Amendment. They’re a violation to our constitutional rights because in the situation with red flag laws, you are guilty until proven innocent. You do not have the right to an attorney. You have to provide your own legal defense against these. They take your firearms, again, due process. They take your firearms before a trial can occur or before guilt is found. And one of the other biggest things with it is these are based in a civil court versus a criminal court. So it is basically the deciding factor here. Instead of being beyond a reasonable doubt like it is in a criminal court would be to the preponderance of evidence. So basically, if they have any type of any type of concern. They can take your firearms first, then make you fight and pay lots of money out of your pockets in order to get those rights back. So it’s just a huge constitutional infringement all around, and our founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, and Teddy, you are running for, is it Senate District 4? Is that right?
SPEAKER 21 :
Correct, yes. It would be Senate District 4, Mark Baisley’s former seat. He’s graciously endorsed me in this effort, and for my run, he is running for federal Senate against Hickenlooper.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay. And what’s your website for that, Teddy?
SPEAKER 21 :
It’s collinsforcolorado.com. Okay. And that’s spelled out, collinsforcolorado.com.
SPEAKER 08 :
And I do want to make a note that that red flag law that was passed, was that, I can’t remember, 2019? I can’t remember when that was exactly. But there were Republicans that were in favor of that as well. And I was adamantly opposed to that initial red flag law. And of course, very opposed to this as well. Last night, you mentioned that you’re hearing that there might be another piece of legislation which would really make it more difficult for firearms dealers to be in business which if there’s no place for people to buy firearms then that is a direct infringement upon our right to keep and bear firearms as well teddy
SPEAKER 21 :
Correct, yes. So the other bill that we’re talking about, and I’ll have to look up the bill number, it was just filed about two days ago, is a new bill that would regulate the sale and transfer of firearm barrels. Not guns, but the barrels themselves. So this means if you go in and try to buy an upper receiver at a store, now you would essentially have to do paperwork and records would have to be kept for the state auditing reasons on the purchase of a barrel or an upper receiver. And then there’s also rumor of other bills that are going to be coming down the pipeline. You know, at the end of the day, guys… people need to show up and testify against these bills. And people ask me all the time, well, they’re just going to pass them anyway. What good am I doing? Could you imagine if no one showed up to testify in opposition to these bills, what they would try, what they would attempt? I mean, the legislator meets for 100 and some odd days. It’s around 130, 150 days. And if no one showed up to push back against these things, they would just pass whatever pipe dream they have in their minds. It’s imperative that people show up. And I’m not just talking about writing written testimony, because written testimony, it just gets thrown out. They enter it into the record. No one ever looks at it. No one ever reads written testimony. But for those that can’t physically come down to the Capitol and testify, you can zoom in remotely from anywhere in the state of Colorado. You do not have to be physically there. So we need patriots, like we saw the other day, to keep showing up, to keep pushing back, and to keep fighting. Because if we don’t, if we roll over, they’re going to take a mile, not just an inch.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay. So, Teddy Collins, what is the website for Spartan Defense?
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, SpartanDefense.com.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, and then for your campaign?
SPEAKER 21 :
Your campaign? Collins4Colorado.com.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay. Teddy, thanks so much. We’ll talk next week, and thank you for signing the cut pledge. We all, the people of Colorado, appreciate that. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER 21 :
Kim, everybody should do it, and I do plan to beat Scott Bottoms and Mark Baisley’s score last night. I joke with them about that, but I told them I’m gunning for them.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, that’s great because both Mark Baisley, let’s see, he was 80% with cut, which makes him a cut, let’s see. Guardian. Guardian. Thank you, Ben Williams. And Scott Bottoms was over 90%, and he is a cut champion. So, Teddy Collins, thanks so much. Have a great day. We’ll talk next week.
SPEAKER 21 :
Thank you. Appreciate you, Kim. Bye.
SPEAKER 08 :
And, boy, there’s so much going on. I realized that a couple of things. I had not mentioned Hooters Restaurants in hour number one. And a great sponsor of the show. We are an independent voice on an independent station, which means I buy my airtime. So all of your support, all of our sponsors are so important. Hooters Restaurants, how I got to know them was… It was when I was on city council and it was what’s the proper role of government? And the proper role of government is not to pick winners and losers. And so in that, I got to know the owners or the franchisees of Hooters restaurants. They’re great patriots and they have locations, Loveland, Westminster and in Aurora. And I greatly appreciate their sponsorship. And then also Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. The Roger Manga team was able to save you some money.
SPEAKER 13 :
Big time.
SPEAKER 08 :
Big time money.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, about $2,000 on my homeowners and personal cars, and then about another $1,000 on my commercial vehicles.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s real money in your pocket.
SPEAKER 13 :
It is.

I think we’re going to talk about that again a little bit, huh, Kate?
SPEAKER 13 :
Pretty much, yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes. And Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. That number is?
SPEAKER 13 :
303-995-1636. It’s great to be here with the dream team as we are affecting history.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes, sir. I think Susan Kochemar calls you all the dream team. And she said, well, we’ll go. Let’s see. We were talking about immigration and sanctuary states. And she says it’s a little more than that. If you have a state that packs itself full of citizens, they can – oh, I already read that. And this affects elections as well. So, Cain, you had several things you wanted to talk about today.
SPEAKER 05 :
I did. We’ll probably get to maybe one. Maybe. I don’t know. Although I would say this, folks should be privy to the conversations that go on after we go to break. It’s pretty encouraging and inspiring. But I want to cover the two shootings, if I can do that. Please. And just talk about, so people understand. In Minnesota. Yeah, in Minnesota. The perspective of law enforcement. Now, the first thing I want to say is… Outing the ICE, this has been done before. It started years ago with a defund the police. Now, defund the police was a method that they used to demonize white people. Because in the inner city, the power structure in those inner cities are white police officers. And so if I want to maintain control, I want to keep my… constituents in control, I have to find that monster that they can gather around and argue against. And that was defund the police. What did it ever do other than getting police officers killed?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, but law-abiding citizens, people that were trying to build their businesses, take care of their families, it hurt them.
SPEAKER 05 :
It hurt them immensely. In fact, many people lost their lives. I had friends at the time that were police officers, and I told them, if I can say this politely, please stop chasing these Negroes. Because when you catch them and they force you to defend yourself, And you have to stop that threat. It’s going to destroy your life. Because the Wokies, which are white folks, they’re going to destroy you for shooting and possibly killing a person of color.
SPEAKER 08 :
So, but it’s just switched. Hold on. Let’s hold that thought. It’s now switched to those standing up for immigration, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s exactly the same thing is what they’ve done with ICE. It’s the same exact strategy. Now, this strategy, I believe, is not necessarily against the Caucasian race. I think it’s to create this army against America. America. I know.
SPEAKER 09 :
I know.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. Producer Joe. I also think it’s a ploy for money because these radical groups got a bunch of funding and then you see them disappear and that nothing ever happens. So question mark.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right. Yes. The head of BLM. Millions. Millions.
SPEAKER 05 :
And I think she’s being investigated because none of the funds were really used for. I mean, what did BLM ever accomplish?
SPEAKER 08 :
And we’re talking not about the Bureau of Land Management, but Black Lives Matter.
SPEAKER 05 :
Even the whole kneeling thing. I don’t really watch NFL. I don’t watch sports and stuff because of the whole kneeling thing. Where you kneeling is doing nothing about the 200 black people that get killed every single week. By whom, Cain? other black people and i’m going to talk about that under this whole we have to protect these illegals who are raping killing there was a there was a a group of illegals that hacked a 14 year old to death a couple couple months a couple weeks ago with machetes hacked him to death and so we have these democrats these marxicoms these lefties these wokies that are dying to defend criminals Yet, no one speaks up for this black population. So it’s not just criminals in the black community. These are little kids that are catching bullets sitting in their strollers. And no one says anything. So they’re all, including Curious George is what I call them, they’re all frauds. Who’s Curious George, says Kim? That’s Barack Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. If you look at his face and you look at Curious George, you go, I get it. Why do you call them names? I go, because they’re cretins and they’re animals, what they’re doing to our citizens and what they’re doing to our country. So let’s talk about this Rene Good. The young lady that was shot.
SPEAKER 08 :
Let’s keep that as our cliffhanger because we’re down at the bottom of the break because I know this is going to be a discussion. And we have these discussions. A couple of things that I did want to mention is the U.S. MC Memorial Foundation, which is a nonprofit that I dearly love. And they take care of the Marine Memorial out at 6th and Colfax. They’re raising the money for the remodel. They’re going to have their golf tournament in May. And they have early bird. early bird pricing. For that, you can get that by going to usmcmemorialfoundation.org. That is usmcmemorialfoundation.org. And then for everything residential real estate, talk to Karen Levine.
SPEAKER 17 :

I have Friday on my mind as well. And in studio with me is Kane. He is the founder of Task Force Freedom, noco.com. Ben Williams with Ben’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. What’s that number?
SPEAKER 13 :
303-995-1636.
SPEAKER 08 :
And Alan Thomas, who we will be rolling out your essay regarding Federalist 42 and these immigration games this weekend in the newsletter.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s always fun sitting here talking about these things with all of you.
SPEAKER 08 :
It is. With the dream team. Yes. Susan Kochavar is calling the three of you the dream team. I guess I’m part of the dream team, too, though. Yes, ma’am. Yeah, I shouldn’t.
SPEAKER 13 :
You’re the leader. You’re welcome to be part of us, Kim. Okay.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay. I guess it is my show, isn’t it? Okay. The shootings in Minneapolis. Renee Good. Talk to us about that, King.
SPEAKER 05 :
So let me say this. So I’m extremely provocative. I am a, what is it called? A railable? A rascal. A rassable. A rassable. Yes. I am all of that. I try to control that part sometimes. But it’s important that people, they take the information from all of us. And repeat it. Have conversations about what’s happening to our culture, to our society, to our country. Have the conversation. Bennett said something, I mean, Allen said something about reaching out and having these conversations, even with the left. If they’ll talk with you, have the conversation. You may learn something and you may affect them. And if they don’t want to hear it, at least you try to reach out and help save our country with everyone. What we have, though, is everything that’s happening in Minneapolis was planned. They were hoping, these evil people were hoping that their spider monkeys, sorry, would go out and get killed so that they can create this race war, this riot. They were hoping for it. Now they have two. And here’s the problem, and I’m going to explain to you what happened to Renee Good. In fact, Hollywood, they’re saying they had some kind of event last week, and they all had little badges that said, Be Good. Like, oh, okay, you want these people to duplicate what Renee did? Because what Renee Goode did is she turned her vehicle towards a police officer. Let me warn you, if you turn your wheels towards a police officer and you punch the gas, there’s a good chance you’re going to get shot in the face. In fact, probably a 90% chance you’re going to get shot. Here this lady is, who is a mother of three, lost her life. Defending criminals, rapists, murderers, robbers. And what is she going to be remembered for? What are her kids going to say about her? Oh, my mom was defending rapists and she got killed. It’s insane. Now, the left, the marxicoms, they count on people that have some other mental illnesses. They have some issues. What’s this guy, Alex Preddy? He carried a gun to a protest, got into an altercation with the police, interfered with them arresting someone, and fought with them with a gun. there’s a very, very high probability that if you fight the police and they discover you have a gun, you’re probably gonna get shot in the face. I’m like, do I feel bad for them and their families? Yes, but they made that choice. I was watching another video. A young lady, a police officer, was fighting this guy. And the guy grabbed her gun. He was 250 pounds. She was maybe 150. And her entire time, she’s just holding the gun with both hands because she knows if he gets this gun out, he’s going to kill me. I thought for sure the assisting officer was going to walk up and put one in his head because that’s what I would have done because she’s screaming, he’s grabbing my gun. These officers are enforcing the law and they don’t want to die. They do not want to die. And when you have an altercation like that, that’s all you’re thinking about is this person is going to kill me. And so let’s give them some grace and understanding. These people wanted it. It’s going to happen again. In fact, I believe that this entire movement is going to move to be more violent. where they’re shooting more maybe they’re placing bombs these people don’t care they’re marxists they’re communists they hate the country they hate white people and it’s white people that are doing it okay what are you saying
SPEAKER 08 :
So in Colorado, as you know, we’re highlighting a bill of the day. And one of the bills that we mentioned was Senate Bill 005, which was the lower the numbers. So Senate Bill. So you have one, two, three, four, five. So this is one of the focuses. And this particular bill, I think I think. I can’t remember if you and I texted back and forth on this. It’s Senate Bill 26005. The prime sponsors on this are Senator Mike Wiseman, Senator Julie Gonzalez, Representative Javier Mabre, and Representative Yara Zoki. And it says it creates a statutory cause of action. For a person who is injured during a civil immigration enforcement action by another person who, whether or not under color of law, violates the United States Constitution while participating in civil immigration enforcement. A person who violates the United States Constitution while participating in civil immigration enforcement is liable to the injured party… for legal or equitable relief or any other appropriate action. And the action must be commenced within two years of cause of the action. So basically what this is is if there is an ICE officer that in the course of events injures someone, that they can be arrested.
SPEAKER 05 :
Again, they tried to do this with defund the police. They took away their protections as a police officer. What happens if that passes? What happens? Are they going to enforce the law? Not me. If I’m a police, I’m not going to risk my entire life and my future by just trying to grab this one guy. And so they’re doing it on purpose. They want the chaos. They want these people on the street harming American citizens. It gives them power and control. It’s insane to me. And I go back to they wrote a law or a bill. That’s going to restrict freedoms, I guess, from law enforcement. Why can’t we have a law that says if you violate the Constitution, we get to put you in jail? And I’m going to forever stand on that because unless we fix the voting system, we have no other recourse than to write laws that say you violate it, we’re going to put you in jail. And I’ll talk to Kevin Lindbergh about that. OK, how do we how do we do that? Does it have to be a ballot initiative? Like, I don’t I don’t know how we do that. But but let me say this about these these people. I’m going to call some names. OK, I’m sorry. I apologize. I’m sorry. Not sorry. So the the marxist compents, Hakeem. Hakeem, Hakeem, Just Flies, Curry, Big Bugger, Booker, Curious George, Jasmine, Crackhead, Crockett, and then we have the NAACP, which now stands for Now Against American Colored People. These morons have never stood up and said one word about the tens of thousands of Negroes that get killed every year for the past five six decades but what do they do they stand up for illegal aliens that are killing people that are raping women and killing children they’re pathetic then you got tampon tim and i call them curly fries they’re all woke they’re all corrupt
SPEAKER 08 :
Do you not think that a lot of this chaos is to cover up for the corruption? And one of our listeners had texted me that as well.
SPEAKER 05 :
Maybe. I don’t think they’re that smart. I think they just got caught. I just think that you might be onto something where they’re just trying to hide. They can’t hide from the fraud that they’ve committed. There’s paper trails all over. You can’t hide from it. You can’t create chaos. I think this is a start. I’ll talk to you about this, too. I think this is the start of the summer of love. Again, this is the very beginning.
SPEAKER 08 :
Because of the 2026 elections?
SPEAKER 05 :
I think this is the start of it where they’re saying, okay, we can get these puppets. We can get these… They’re pawns.
SPEAKER 08 :
They really are pawns.
SPEAKER 05 :
Pawns. I like to call them spider monkeys because you can give a spider monkey one task and they’ll do it just to get a cookie.
SPEAKER 09 :
OK, Joe, you had a comment. Well, I just want to make the point that out of all of these situations, there’s one group that actually benefits. And it’s usually the elected representatives because they fix the situation and they look moral and virtuous while doing it. And that gets them elected again. And like Alan said, that is their one job to get elected again. Alan, interesting.
SPEAKER 08 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s also, it goes back to the very nature of humanity. It’s something our founders knew well. It’s something that we see play out time and time again. And that is, when you get people in a mob, it’s very easy for them to become a part of the mob. And this mob mentality can be justified. And a mob can be moved and shifted. You know, there’s that famous quote, if every Athenian was Aristotle, then the whole… the whole of Athens would be a mob. Even if you had the smartest man in the world and you replicated him a million times, he would then still be able to become a mob because that’s part of who we are as people. And it’s very easy for both sides on this issue to get this mob mentality and distracted by these issues as opposed to looking at the principle of the matter and looking for solutions. And that’s why when interests… align you don’t necessarily need a cause you know a mob is a mob and can be controlled by politicians no matter what the mob is protesting i think that’s what we’re this is what we’re seeing there right we just have politicians that want to get people all riled up because how best to get reelected than to rile people up and to have an issue that they can get behind And mobs are very dangerous to our republic.
SPEAKER 05 :
Which is why I’m very comfortable with calling them names and saying they’re evil. Because they say these things. They incite this violence knowing that people will be harmed. Knowing that their own people, they know if you go up against a police officer with a gun, you’re probably going to lose. And they’re okay with it. They’ve encouraged that. They encourage it. And they’re sacrificing their own people. And it’s kind of like… Stockholm Syndrome. Like you’re supporting the very entities, the very folks that have no interest in you and your future. And you’re supporting them. In fact, they’re trying to harm you. And in fact, I have a special name for that in the ghetto. It’s called Stockholm Syndrome. Okay, that was funny.
SPEAKER 1 :
Hi.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay, Producer Joe, what’s your thoughts? Well, it just made me think of The Prince. The ends justify the means, and the best way that they stay in power is by controlling the perspective. So when they look moral, or prospectively look moral and virtuous, it just allows the people to want to rally behind them more, even though… Behind the scenes, they’re doing things that go against their morals and ethics. And in Mock the Prince, they say that’s OK.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s interesting to me, too, that a lot of these people that are out are they’re white, number one, and then they’re trans people. The trans Tifa folks like they hijacked. These folks were able to hijack that entire culture and turn them into these crazy activists. We’ve talked about this before. The last four or five mass shootings has been some trans person that’s gone around and they’re killing white kids. And they’re a product of our government schools.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and here’s the danger that we run into, and this is the reason why they call ICE names, is to create this moral superiority of, I am a better person than you, you are not a person, therefore I can violate your rights. And that’s why I’m very careful with name-calling, but I know that when you do… You are not sitting here saying, I’m going to call you a name so that I can violate your constitutional rights. And we can sit here and do that. But this is what the progressives do is they create these tiers of people to say, you do not get all of the rights of a full citizen because you are less than. Because you are Gestapo-like in the case of what they’re calling ICE. So therefore, you do not deserve the full protection of the Constitution for your constitutional rights. And so that’s why this name-calling, this moral superiority is difficult. Because if we’re calling names to make ourselves better than and more human than another, then we run into a very… very slippery slope of saying i can violate your constitutional rights because i’m better than you and i know you’re not doing that but this is what the progressives do this is what they’re trying to do to ice to say we can obstruct you we can kill you ice we can kill police officers across the country because you are less than human you’re subhuman so therefore we can do exactly what they did in the holocaust when we dehumanize people we can justify all sorts of atrocities which that puts us we are in a very dangerous time in our country kane
SPEAKER 05 :
And I use it just as a descriptive. Exactly, yeah. This is what you’ve shown me that you are. As a police officer, I was called pig. I can’t tell you how many times I was called Uncle Tom. It was demeaning so that they can move on me. It was a bad idea, but it was a tactic that they used. If I can talk about the G2, the volunteer response group,
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, let’s go to break, and we’ll do that when we come back. But a couple of things. If you are craving real New York-style pizza and pasta, Little Richie’s in Parker and Golden have you covered. SPEAKER 08 :
Welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. A couple of things, three things I need to make sure that I do. First of all, the word of the day is irascible. We’ve been using that throughout the show. It’s I-R-A-S-C-I-B-L-E. It could be prone to outbursts of temper. Easily angered, characterized by or resulting from anger, prone to anger, easily provoked or inflamed to anger. And I know that what we see being done to our children makes you very irascible king.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, ma’am. And it should. It should make everyone irascible.
SPEAKER 08 :
It should. Our quote of the day is from John Caviani with the Medal of Honor recipient. He said, The cost of freedom has been paid for with the blood of American men and women who have served and died for our great country. Every day we should thank God that they have never failed us. And, Cain, this is making me irascible. These men, really, I think there’s one woman that has received the Medal of Honor, but it’s men. Mm-hmm. that have put their lives on the line to fight communism, and we are voting it in in our country. That makes me irascible.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think mostly because our voting system is corrupt and fraudulent. I don’t believe true Americans are going to vote in a communist like that Mandani guy over there in New York City. I don’t think they would do that. But Maybe, but also if you think about when we raise our kids in these government schools, not to respect and honor our government, not to have pride in this great American experience, then they grow up and they become communists, Marxists. They don’t have a good foundation and they want to look at the history with people like me, like, oh, we own slaves. I don’t know a culture that did not own slavery.
SPEAKER 08 :
And it’s still happening. If you are really against slavery, then you need to get busy right now.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s worse today than it’s ever been in the history of slavery.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay. Ben Williams.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, I was just going to say that our generations have been raised without a moral, virtuous foundation. And that’s where we have lost our way. And we’ve really got to focus on what is being taught to the kids. Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, and one other thing. Bill of the Day, I did not mention that in Hour 1. It was Senate Bill 26032. Thank you, GAMI, for being on this. Because I get, as President of CUT, I get the bills that are scheduled for hearing for next week. Now, right now, there’s 48 that are scheduled for hearing for next week. But this one, they snuck it through. They introduced it on Monday. And we got the report the preceding Friday. They introduced it on Monday and had it for hearing this Thursday. It’s promoting immunization access. Senators Daugherty, Mullica, and Representatives… Ferrett and Brown have their names on it. And basically, my understanding is, and I’ve not read the bill, but Gammy was all over this, as well as Pam Long, who was testified. And it’s regarding, I think, continuing to have Colorado put more and more…
SPEAKER 05 :
jabs into our children is ultimately the goal i think is what it is so okay we’ve got five minutes okay kane so i just want to share this i do have a solution to prepare for the summer of love um i really believe that it’s going to become violent because we have our election in november i think they’re going to use that as a distraction i think it’s going to go to the our marx marxicom states for the most part probably here in denver and so um A couple years ago, I wrote a program called G2, which is Good Guys, and it’s a text message rescue system. And basically what it is is that you take your family and friends and you form this text message group. Maybe it’s 10 people, 20 or 30. And all it is is when there’s a major event in a city where the police is required, all the cops are going to go to one spot. Almost every single police officer will be at that, if it’s big enough, at that one location, which means now there’s no one patrolling the city. So if my wife is at Walmart and she is threatened by a mob of people, how do they get help? Because when you call 911, they’ll say, are you dying? Is somebody bleeding? Did somebody get shot? No, no, no. Okay, somebody will be there. 30 minutes, maybe an hour. So how do we assist our loved ones who are stuck in a situation where they need help, but the police are not available? And it’s called G2 or good guys. And basically it’s a text message group that you build with friends and family. And all it is, it’s only used when there’s a problem. So if there was a problem at Walmart, my wife will go on the text group and say, 911, I’m at Walmart. There’s 10 people outside the ladies bathroom and they’re trying to get me. I need help. At that point, several people will respond, I’m five minutes away. I’m two minutes away. I’m in the parking lot. I will come and get you. The main thing is low profile. You go in and you recover that person and you try to get out without having any altercations with the mob, if you can. If you cannot, then you have to defend yourself and defend that person that you’re there to rescue. So it is on my website. If you go to the website and look up, it’s actually going to be on the first page. It says G2 Volunteer Response Group. Anyone can set it up. You can email me. I’ll show you how to set it up. It’s important to have a CCW. If you don’t, it still works. It’s important to be willing to be harmed if you’re trying to help someone.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that is on Task Force Freedom?
SPEAKER 05 :
TaskForceFreedomNoCo.com, very first page, and you’ll see the entire program if you want to go on and check it out. If you need any help in setting it up, we have resources here that can help you with gun training. If you don’t have a firearm, if you’re not a CCW, you probably should. I call carrying a gun like there’s automobile insurance. And you can spend your entire life paying for automobile insurance and never use it. I call this life assurance. If someone attacks me or my wife or my grandkids, I have the ability to protect myself and defend that threat, eliminate that threat.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay, and let’s see. This came in from Jenny. She said, regarding immigration, she said, this is why Trump is challenging the birthright citizenship. Our founders would have never agreed to have people come here, have a baby. And then that baby becomes a citizen. This is a way a foreign government can infiltrate and conquer our country. Absolutely. And what do they use to do that, Kim?
SPEAKER 05 :
Children. The 14th Amendment, which was solely dedicated to freed slaves, had nothing to do with immigrants. Okay. Nothing to do with illegal immigrants. It had to do with the children of slaves. Am I right, sir? Very right. Thank you, Alan.
SPEAKER 06 :
Context always matters, right? And that’s what we forget a lot about is we like to read ourselves into the situation as opposed to reading the situation as it is.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well done. She’s calling it the Grievance Industrial Complex, and then this came in from Yvonne. I’ve got to find it. She said, let’s see here. She said, when a person is trying to disarm a police officer, and she was law enforcement, you can rest assured that it’s not because they want to teach him or her how to clean their firearm. Okay, gentlemen, we are out of time, and you guys really are the dream team. Alan, thank you, and this is going to be an excellent essay that we’ll publish this weekend.
SPEAKER 06 :
As always, thanks for having me here. It’s always a lot of fun.
SPEAKER 08 :
And Ben Williams, Ben’s plumbing, heating, and cooling valued partner of the show.
SPEAKER 13 :
Honored to be here, Kim.
SPEAKER 08 :
And what’s that phone number for that second opinion? 303-995-1636.
SPEAKER 13 :
Save yourself $10,000 to $20,000. I love that. And Kane, thank you. Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 08 :
I say thank you because our journey has been quite a journey. I was speaking at Perspectives 101, which Yvonne had founded. And you came up and you said, I listened to you. And that’s how we got to know each other. And we’re friends.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, ma’am. Can I say this? Free Tina Peters and Tina Peters, thank you so much for your sacrifice and the suffering you’re going through.
SPEAKER 08 :
And we had our attorneys on yesterday. Okay, the end of the show. Quote is, our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. So today, be grateful. Read great books. Think good thoughts. Listen to beautiful music. Communicate and listen well. Live honestly and authentically. Strive for high ideals. Like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America.
SPEAKER 12 :
to cry but tell them if I don’t survive
