And cacophony is c-a-c-o-p-h-o-n-y. It could be jarring, discordant sound, dissonance. Number two, the use of harsh or discordant sounds in literary composition. Number three, an uncouth or disagreeable sound of words owing to the concurrence of harsh letters or syllables. So the way it is used in the information we’re going to be sharing from George Washington is a jarring or discordant sound as in firearms, gunfire. And so your challenge is to use the word cacophony in a sentence today. And the quote of the day is from George Washington. And it is, and I thought this was appropriate because of our bill of the day, Senate Bill 042. But George Washington said, the last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. And… That seems to be what’s… And when we talk about the Treasury, I would say that it is the Treasury of middle-class America is what we see happening. And so George Washington… Hold on here, he was born, I had this, I thought on the outline and I must have erased it. So let’s get this because I wanted to share something that I’d learned regarding old time and new time. So George Washington was born. In 1732, in new time on February 22nd, in old time, February 11th. He died in 1799, and he was a founding father, the first president of the United States. He was the commander of the Continental Army, and commonly referred to as the father of our country for all that he did as he was involved in and the founding of our country. And the difference, and this just came up through AI, which I don’t use AI a lot. I know I’m a dinosaur being pulled into this, but says old time and new time typically refer to different dating systems. Specifically, the transition from the Julian calendar, old style, to the Gregorian calendar, new style. This change involved adjustments in how dates were recorded and celebrated, particularly in countries like Great Britain in the 18th century. Regardless, George Washington was born in the year of 1732. and his quote is the last official act of any government is to loot the treasury and so we’ll get over here to our bill of the day and i want to give a shout out tonight i will be meeting with my fellow cup board members amazing group of people all volunteers And we are working on getting our positions ready for an email that will go out shortly to all of the legislators, as well as the governor and our members. And my colleagues are Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, ramey johnson mary jansen dave evans and corey onazorg when you see these folks say thank you for the enormous amount of time that they dedicate to the taxpayers of colorado which is all of us and this is another ching going after inch by inch the tabor which is colorado’s taxpayers bill of rights so the senate bill is the senate bill 26042 the sponsors on this are senator mike mark excuse me mike weissman senator judy emma bile representative yara zoke and representative emily sirota it’s titled the revenue classification taxpayers bill of rights cut is a definite no on this and our statement on this is the bill we have this in air quotes clarifies that two types of income which is revenue from the excise tax on gasoline used as fuel for the propulsion of specified aircraft and certain civil fines and penalties imposed by the state should not be considered in the calculation of the taper limitation on state fiscal year spending This bill directly affects TABOR refunds by narrowing what counts as revenue subject to the constitutional spending limit. And it’s just another attempt to retain funds that otherwise might be refunded back to us, the taxpayers under TABOR, Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights. In addition, they have added in the safety clause, which is just another… um another insult as the only danger in this state government might be might not be able to keep more of taxpayers money and then also you have some homework to do and that is go to cut engaged and if you receive the newsletter we’ve got a link in there but this house bill 26 1001 which is making its way through the colorado state legislature this is my commentary yesterday i said disrespects every coloradan It is cleverly named the Home, the Housing Opportunities Made Easier Act. However, it really should be called the Con Act, the Control Our Neighborhoods. The five top reasons, it silences the voices of us, the people. It requires jurisdictions, there’s your force word, requires jurisdictions to allow subsidized housing on parcels of five acres or less that are owned by a nonprofit, public transit, school district, college or university, housing authority or regional transportation authority it hides the process under a shroud of unelected administrative bureaucracies it allows bureaucrats who are unelected and unaccountable to the people to pick winners and losers and it uses our hard-earned money paid in taxes and fees to be used to subsidize developers who would change the fabric of our colorado communities with a population of 2 000 more or more forever so go to coloradotaxpayer.org which is our website click at the top on cut engaged and it’ll bring up the bills that we have there to take positions on you can take a positions on all eight of them we’ll be adding probably five more today but go to house bill 1001 and you can make your voices heard and I highly recommend that you do that and we do all of these projects all of this work because we work with great people As you all know, we strive for excellence here at the Kim Monson Show, and all of my sponsors that I work with also strive for excellence as they are serving their clients and their customers. Kim, we have probably beat this horse to death, but it’s really, you’ve got to keep after it. People, God bless you out there, listening audience. And I’ve said this before, please, please contact your insurance agent. Get a review going. Find out what coverages you have, because I’m going to walk us through a claim that is painful with one of my clients who was on a bicycle. Beautiful summer day. Got hit coming around the corner by an underinsured motorist. We have often talked about uninsured motorists, and that number runs between, let’s say, 20 and 30 percent in Colorado. That’s scary, by the way. Think of that as a scary number because, you know, that means one out of five, maybe, excuse me, yeah, about one out of five, maybe two out of five people do not have insurance. If you get hit by them, you’re in a world of hurt unless you talk to your agent and he or she provides you with a safety net to cover that possibility. And that would be your uninsured and underinsured coverage. So today we want to focus on underinsured. So, and by the way, Colorado ranks in the top ten states in the nation. We’re about number five in terms of uninsured, underinsured motorists. And by the way, in some states, when you buy uninsured, you don’t buy underinsured. In Colorado, they combine the two coverages into one. So if you’ve got uninsured, you have underinsured. So this beautiful spring day, my client was riding a bike and got hit by an uninsured motorist. And he was seriously injured, rib fractures, broken femur, traumatic brain injury. He was in the hospital. His bills were about $200,000. But, you know, he was lucky. He had health insurance, but $5,000 to $10,000 deductible. So that had to be paid out of his pocket. Until, let me walk you through the claims so you have an understanding of eventually how all these coverages come into play or don’t come into play. So he had a $5,000 deductible. Eventually, he would recover that if he won a lawsuit or could go to his insurance company and get reimbursement for that $5,000 since he had underinsured motorist coverage for $250,000, $500,000. Okay, so he’s in the hospital. Bill’s $200,000. And by the way, that bill… It’s paid by his insurance company, his medical insurance company. If he wins a lawsuit, let’s say it was a million-dollar lawsuit he won, the insurance company that paid for that claim is wanting to get reimbursed for that $200,000. So if you get a settlement and you have a medical bill that isn’t paid… at all. I mean, there are people that don’t have health insurance. If you win a lawsuit, that $200,000 in this example would actually, part of that million dollars would go to the medical company that covered you for that hospital stay. you realize that i did not realize that yeah it’s yeah they they they’re in a position of wanting to be reimbursed since they paid out and you received money to be compensated for that medical bill okay so and but that was from the medical insurance so you said you’re going to walk us through this what’s the next thing so fortunately the guy who hit my client had colorado state minimums of twenty five thousand fifty thousand fifteen thousand now keep that in mind colorado requires you have a minimum of liability of twenty five thousand so if you hit somebody and you have that insurance policy the most that is going to be paid to protect you and your assets if you have 25 50 15 which is the state minimum in colorado then that first $25,000 is available to a person who you just injured. So if they pay that $25,000, and let’s say it’s Brand X or State Farm or American Family or State Farm, or excuse me, Farmer’s Insurance, they’re glad to pay that $25,000 to that person that was injured and wash their hands of the claim. They’re out of it. So now… They may be out of it, but my insured needs more money. I mean, he is a working man. He makes $100,000 a year. He’s a consultant. Where is he going to get the income replacement that he needs from this accident?

So, Roger, you know what? This is such an important subject. And so we’re going to break this into, I think, a series. We’ve done that before. Yes. Because I think that’s really important. and welcome back to the kim monson show be sure and check out our website that is kim monson m-o-n-s-o-n.com and george washington’s birthday is in february and we are highlighting different things regarding his life and the next thing this is from the american heritage the miraculous care of providence by james thomas flexner and so this is the third time that he was spared by divine the divine provider And it says, the next effort to capture Fort Duquesne was made three years later, which was 1758, under the command of the British General John Forbes. He was to lead between six and seven thousand men, three times Braddock’s force. Much had been learned since the Great Defeat. Diplomatic efforts were undertaken with the Indians, and the value of provincial troops fighting in the Indian manner was recognized. temporarily designated a Brigadier General, Washington was given command of the advanced brigade and made up of local troops. The army was encamped along the route when scouts reported that a large enemy force was within three miles. Forbes ordered Washington to send out 500 of his Virginians And listening to hot firing and judging that the Americans were falling back, Washington received Forbes permission to go to rescue with a group of volunteers. As they advanced through the thick woods in deepening twilight, they saw facing them armed men lurking behind trees. The two groups were quick to fire at each other. Finally, the cacophony of gunshots sank to a moment of silence, and Washington could hear an order being shouted to the opposing force. It was a familiar voice, and Washington’s men were firing at each other. Washington, as he remembered, ran between the lines of firing men, knocking up with his sword the presented pieces. Bullets sped around him. Before the two bloody groups could be made to understand, 14 had been killed and 26 wounded. Washington commented when the Revolutionary War was behind him that his life had been in as much jeopardy as it had ever been before or since. He was not touched. After Forbes had successfully captured Fort Duquesne, Virginia’s role in the French and Indian War, and with it Washington’s active participation, came to an end. And that is the third time that he was unscathed as bullets were whizzing about him. I’m pleased to have on the line with me James Wiley. He is a candidate for Secretary of State here in Colorado, which is a very important position. I actually saw him yesterday out in Holyoke as I emceed their Lincoln Day dinner. It was a fabulous lunch and James was out there. James Wiley, welcome to the show. Hey, Kim, thanks so much for having me back. Yes, and it was a great event yesterday, James.
SPEAKER 10 :
It really was. So many candidates came out all the way to the corner of the state, which I consider to be the capital of Republican politics, and it really made a good showing. It was really encouraging.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and yeah, it was really terrific. And congratulations to Steve and Sherry Brown and the whole team out there in Phillips County. It was terrific. so james wiley you are running for colorado secretary of state which is a very important position and you’ve been watching elections for quite some time in fact i think you mentioned yesterday that you had filed a lawsuit regarding the bios passwords if people don’t remember jenna griswold and the secretary of state’s office had had the bios passwords on where the public could access them for several months for people that don’t know what had happened there explain that to us james wiley
SPEAKER 10 :
So an employee of the Secretary of State’s office posted a Excel document online which included data about, and this is relatively generic data, about the voting machines and the different counties and which machines are operating in those counties. But a part of that spreadsheet was a hidden tab. And in that tab, the BIOS passwords for all those machines were right there. Now, they had supposedly intended to export it as a PDF and then upload it, but they published the raw data, the Excel document which had those BIOS passwords in there. Anybody who could get to the machines could also take complete control of the machines, enable Wi-Fi, enable remote boot, completely compromise the elections in that county as a result of having those bios passwords published, including foreign governments.
SPEAKER 21 :
And so you filed a lawsuit on that, correct? Yes.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. The information came out. It was made public by the Republican Party, who a whistleblower had gone to the Republican Party here in Colorado and shared that information with them. And it was the Tuesday, the week before the election, that that information came out. And by that Friday, I had filed this lawsuit in the Denver District Court asking the government to do a hand count of the election because the machines at that point had been destroyed. irrecoverably compromised. And we’re in the middle of an election. And the confidence in that election had gone all the way down as a result of this hack. and the secretary of state’s office was scrambling to try to to put a band-aid on it to do a trust to build which should not be done in the middle of election and go around and change all the passwords but at that point it was too late the machines have been compromised for many months and there’s nothing that could be done of course unfortunately i should say not as a matter of course but an unfortunate circumstance the the denver district court didn’t have the typical understanding to breach and said, everything’s okay here. The Secretary of State can continue. So we appealed that to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court in three days denied our petition. So that was unfortunate, but it definitely shows the pattern of the Secretary of State’s office making violations. And I’ve sued in 2020, 2022, 2024. You’ll never guess what I have in mind for 2026.
SPEAKER 03 :
Are you going to share that with us or is that going to be a secret?
SPEAKER 10 :
Of course, I’m going to sue this year as well. I’ve got a lawsuit that I’m preparing to file in the next 48 hours here based on the 2022 election results in the primary and the fact that the actual outcome of the primaries in 2022 was changed as a result of having the semi-open primary with the unaffiliated voters participating in that primary. Lopez would have won the governor primary. Tina Peters would have won the Secretary of State primary. And our friend Ron Hanks, he would have also won the U.S. Senate primary if unaffiliated voters had not been involved in that. And that’s the result of a linear regression analysis that I did of all the different counties, the unaffiliated voter percentages in those counties, and then the vote outcome from the primaries in all three races. And those three races were compromised entirely by voters. unaffiliated voters which is the standing necessary and required by supreme court precedent in order to overcome and cancel out and delete a primary method that disenfranchises party members so republican party has been severely damaged by this and we have the evidence
SPEAKER 03 :
But it was a ballot initiative that was passed by the people of Colorado that unaffiliateds could vote in either the Democrat or Republican Party. So how is it that you would have standing on this lawsuit?
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, great question. So it’ll be a constitutional challenge. And fortunately, we do not live in a democracy. We live in a constitutional republic, which means that minorities, including political parties who represent a minority of the voting population, have the right to still determine the outcome of their own election. And so in this environment where we’ve got clear proof of that violation. And me as a candidate, having standing under the Supreme Court precedent post, at least on January 14th of this year, we have a really good case, a really good opportunity to say, it doesn’t matter how many people vote for something. If the outcome of that vote, even if it’s 99 to 1, if those 99 people are violating the rights of the one, then that minority individual, and in this case, political party members, both Democrat and Republican, are having their rights violated by this semi-open primary system.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you said you’re going to file that lawsuit within the next 48 hours?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I’m just drafting it up now and doing some checking my math as far as the regression analysis. And then that’ll be in the Denver District Court as soon as I can.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. A couple of things. You mentioned Tina Peters and one of our listeners had reached out early, early this morning and asked for prayers for Tina Peters that she feels she’s being targeted again. And so please, we do need to pray for her and we need to pray. that she is released soon. The safety of Tina Peters is the responsibility of Governor Jared Polis. And I really, we’ve called on him to release her to show some compassion and kindness to her. He’s not done that yet. But please pray for her for protection and for her release. That’s really important. So James Wiley, I went to that hearing yesterday right before the 2024 election. I’d never really gone to a hearing before. And what I found… At least this is from layman’s terms what I saw happen is that the Colorado Secretary of State in those three days had said to the Supreme Court, oh, there was no compromise of the elections because those bios passwords were out there. I honestly, and I’m just… I’m just a dinosaur when it comes to technology, but it sure seems to me like there’s no way that they could have determined that within three days to assure the court that there was no compromise on that whatsoever. But that’s what happened, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, what they said was, well, we checked the logs of the people who had contact with the machines during that period, and it was only authorized people. And that’s assuming that every authorized person who has access to the machine has good intent and isn’t going to use the public information about the BIOS passwords and their access in order to modify the machines. And so that’s putting a lot of trust into public information. officials, which we can’t do anything else in a lot of situations. And so on that basis, the court was like, well, it was only trusted individuals who had access and moved on from there. But totally dismissing the reality that even if one of those trusted individuals managed to compromise the machine. From that point forward, the machine could be accessed. They could be remotely accessed. They could be told to boot into an alternative operating system. It could be told to turn on Wi-Fi, turn off Wi-Fi. And so the BIOS password is the underlying layer, the most fundamental layer of the computer system. And once you have access to that, the entire system is compromised. And they claim that there’s a second password that keeps it secure, and that’s the Windows user login. And actually, if I were to choose between one of those passwords as a hacker to try to compromise the machine, I would choose the BIOS password because that’s way more powerful than the Windows user login.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So James Wiley, we must have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. And the Secretary of State is in charge of that, as well as the county clerks for their particular counties. And so this is a very important race, because if we don’t have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections that we can trust, then we don’t have our constitutional republic. I am well. And you’ve written some very interesting pieces lately, and one of them was published on February 1st, Nurses Heal Thyself, Trump Derangement Syndrome Enters the Hospital. And I really… have been shocked at what we’ve seen as some of these medical professionals that have said terrible things about what they would do to somebody that they disagree with politically. So walk us through this.
SPEAKER 11 :
Sure. It’s really disturbing. There’s been a handful of nurses around the country that have said they would not treat or mistreat Trump supporters or ICE agents. Things like not giving them anesthesia, injecting them with poison. One specifically said succinylcholine, which is a paralytic drug, and you’re injected with that, you stop breathing. And that’s not very compatible with life. Another one suggested injecting poison ivy or similar substances into the faces and eyes of ICE agents and Trump supporters. And one wished horrific complications on Carolyn Leavitt, Trump’s press secretary, when she has her second child, a fourth-degree perineal tear, which, not to be graphic, but it’s, you know, when a baby’s delivered, large head, for example, and vaginal canal tears into the anus and rectum. And that has to be repaired surgically. And this is a real thing. And it can leave someone incontinent. sexually unable to uh… have pleasure et cetera and it’s uh… you know too these are not random people wishing that these are health professionals they’ve gone through school they’ve taken According to their profession, the Nightingale Oath or the American Nursing Association ethics, they’re licensed, and they wish horrific damage on people over politics. And there’s no place for that. As a physician, surgeon, I treat people of all political persuasions, and politics doesn’t enter it. We can banter about politics and that sort of thing, but… Human bodies are the same regardless of whether they’re Republican or Democrat. The circulatory system is the same. The physiology is the same. And when you’re entrusted with a job like that, a profession, you have to treat people equally. There’s no place for allowing politics to enter care for another human being.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, Dr. June Depp, I recall stories of both in the Civil War and also in World War One, World War Two, where in field hospitals that doctors and nurses would try to save the lives of enemies that that were brought to them as well. So this political language here in America in 2026 is, as you say, it’s very, very disturbing because the medical profession has had a history of even helping save the lives of enemy combatants.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, absolutely. My in-laws were German and my father-in-law uh… in his younger days served in the german army during world war two and he was tasked with caring for american p o w s and of course he’d do his best and care for them that’s their their human beings uh… politics and there and uh… that’s very common if we were in uh… ground combat uh… we we take care of these people criminals i mean I see occasional incarcerated inmates as part of my practice that come in and have need for my care. I treat them exactly as I would anybody else, even if they’re cuffed and orange jumpsuit. They’re human beings, and they deserve to be cared for. I’m not passing moral judgment or political judgment on these things. It’s… And it’s dangerous when that happens. Speaking of World War II, that was when medical care and other things became politicized, and we know the results of that.
SPEAKER 03 :
So I have been just going through getting routine things. I was in a medical office recently, and it had… I can’t remember. I should have taken a picture of that, but I didn’t. But it had one of those, you know, a message about, we care for everyone here. And I thought, A, this is odd that there’s a sign to that effect. And B, I thought, oh, this is… virtue signaling. And when I now see virtue signaling, that concerns me that if they knew my political persuasion, would I get different care in light of what you had just reported in this article, Dr. June depth?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, exactly. If you have to say it, I’d be suspicious that that should be an assumption that you walk into a uh… health care office of any type that you’re going to be treated uh… according to what you need to while you’re there not based on politics uh… you know can you imagine wearing a a mega had into a into denver health into the e r you know that probably just let you die that’s scary Probably they wouldn’t do that, but people would have that fear because of these stories in the news. All it takes is one supposed mistake. And these people are nuts in how they view their political opposition. It’s really a derangement. You look at the protesters and look at their eyes when they’re shouting at ICE agents and just absolutely enraged. And if they got their hands on one, they’d tear them limb from limb. It’s really a demonic possession, if you will.
SPEAKER 03 :
It is. And I don’t mean to blindside you with this question, because I didn’t think of it until we had started this. But I was going through, and you have all these questionnaires. And anyway, this was one of the questions as I was preparing for this interview. medical thing. And it had a box here and it says, I have Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. So Jewish ancestry from Eastern Europe, usually Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Russia. And I took a picture of that. I thought that’s a very odd thing to have on your questionnaire as you’re preparing for this medical exam. What’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s a genetic thing. I’m not an expert on this, but there’s a disease called Tay-Sachs disease, T-A-Y-S-A-C-H-S, I believe. And it’s very prevalent in Ashkenazi Jews. So if it’s a practice that may see things like that, they’ll ask. That’s kind of a… genetic family history. So I wouldn’t interpret that as anti-Semitic or anti-anything. It’s just I guess this practice you were at sees enough conditions that can be related to the genetics of those peoples that they ask. Okay. I’m more concerned about that we treat everybody equally and we care. The virtue signaling suggests that if they have to say it, maybe that’s a problem.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and most definitely because I remember during COVID that I could just feel there was something weird going on. And that when the government said that there were some businesses that were essential and some that weren’t. And when they said some people were essential, which means some weren’t. And I had to have papers. I was considered essential because I’m in the media business. And but when I had to have a paper for me to travel around my community, I thought this is 1984 stuff. This is this is this is back in World War Two papers, please. And then as I was driving down I-25, there was hardly a car around. I thought, oh my gosh, did the rapture occur and I’m still here? Or what’s going on? But then I saw a sign, one of those electronic signs that says, stay home, save a life. So the implication was if you weren’t staying home that you wanted to kill somebody, which, again, that goes to kind of this virtue signaling that I’m really concerned about it in the medical profession, so much so that I really am thinking twice about these medical exams. And that’s concerning as well, where people have gotten to a point where you might think twice about going to the doctor, yes?
SPEAKER 11 :
Correct. You want to know your doctor’s politics. I had an internist for a number of years. He retired and recommended me to a concierge doctor near me and met with him for the first time. And I wanted to get a feel for his thinking. And we got on the subject of COVID and vaccines and off-label therapeutics and quickly discovered he’s on the same page as I am. So I felt a lot more comfortable because COVID was a big dividing line of physicians that had an open mind to things that weren’t making sense or unanswerable versus those that followed the the who dictates and Fauci dictates of, you know, wear two masks and wear a face shield and you have to be vaccinated and you have to take government prescribed medicines and distancing and lockdowns and all that. That’s when we first saw the politicization of it. And there were healthcare professionals that wouldn’t care for the unvaccinated. If somebody came into the ER unvaccinated, it’s like, You know, oh, they deserve to die. It’s horrific. But that’s when we got a taste of that authoritarianism in health care. And that went largely unpunished. There’s no reckoning for that. There’s no apology from health authorities. So that’s why nurses now feel they have a green light to use politics to decide what kind of care they’re going to give to their patients.

And I have a piece this morning in American Thinker, but that’s for another discussion. Yeah, the polling is interesting. It’s interesting. saying that the majority of americans like what trump is doing regarding deportation deportation but have some question about the methods they may be not enthralled by what they’re seeing on the news and the the riots and the the people getting killed and that sort of thing but they are still in favor of what he’s doing and that’s a dichotomy that the media is not covering they’re only covering the you know, the dissatisfaction with the methods, not the goal.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and so what do you think about these methods? Because as Americans, I think, yes, and polling shows that that people that have come here illegally, particularly criminals, they got to go. But what is happening in these blue cities is I think that there’s I think there’s paid agitators. I think there’s also people with Trump derangement syndrome. that are really impeding law enforcement ICE from getting these criminals and deporting them. And people don’t like to really see disagreements, and particularly they don’t like to see images of ICE law enforcement standing over somebody you know, and arresting. They don’t like those images. And the radical activists left and those that are pushing this, they realize that. So what can Trump do about this, Dr. June Depp?
SPEAKER 11 :
Sure. Well, you’re correct. These are largely paid agitators and everything’s being filmed. Everybody’s a reporter now because they have their phone and they’re recording and there’s video going around at the speed of light. And that’s to kind of frame the narrative. And nobody likes to see anybody get killed, protest or whatever. I don’t know. Maybe there are lighter-handed ways to do. I would just defund these cities. I’d say if you’re going to be a sanctuary city, no federal funding. You know, just nothing. And who cares what the courts say? Let the courts enforce it. just Trump say to Denver, for example, Minneapolis, LA, New York, uh, if you’re a sanctuary city and you’re not turning over criminal aliens to ice, then there goes your Medicaid funding, everything, no federal funding and see how well the cities, uh, survive under that circumstance. Uh, that’s a much easier way to do it. And, uh, let it fight out in the courts uh… but that will really hurt these cities and uh… i suspect they will bend the knee without having to descend in ice and have all the property damage in the bad optics uh… but yeah majority of people two-thirds of of people were very much in favor of the deportations and uh… including the majority of independents hispanics even a third of democrats are in favor of it so It’s not complicated, and they need to do a good job educating. This is the law, and if you’re here illegally, you don’t belong here, and you shouldn’t be getting taxpayer-funded benefits. Personalize it for the single mom that’s living paycheck to paycheck. How much of her paycheck is going to supporting illegal aliens from other countries, and they’re getting Medicaid? We can’t supply health care to the entire world. Make it real. That’s How much of your paycheck is going towards supporting this stuff? So I think there are other ways to do it.
SPEAKER 03 :
I think you’re right. I totally agree with you on this. And as I’ve talked with people about this, as I said, I think that I think Americans can agree. If you’ve come here either legally or illegally and you want to hurt us, you got to go. And if you are a criminal in your country or you’ve done criminal acts illegally, In America, you’ve got to go. If you’ve come here to live off of the American taxpayer, and this goes right into your narrative, you’ve got to go and make that personal. And then also, if you’ve come here through these NGOs, through the refugee… uh resettlement or the asylee programs and you are defrauding america you gotta go and most everybody says they agree with that and so i that i think that trump and company they need to get on this narrative now because the midterms are right around the corner so we’ve got a minute to um to button this up uh dr june depp what what’s your final thought on all this
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, sure. The NGOs are a big part of it. And there should be no U.S. taxpayer funds going to the NGOs and the people aiding and abetting this unlawful illegal migration should be arrested. This is conspiracy. This is RICO. This should be prosecuted. And that’s a separate issue. I mean, a lot of malfeasance has gone on over the past eight years. And, you know, who’s been arrested? Who’s been indicted? It’s… There’s very little going on, and I think the government needs to have a reckoning for these people that have abused the system and politicized the government and just be tougher. We hear a lot of talk, but I’m disappointed with the lack of action.

We’ll be using this first definition in our commentary regarding George Washington, which will be in the last segment. And they use cacophony in that particular sentence. of him once again being shot at and unscathed. And he believes correctly that the divine provider had his hand on him, which he did. The divine provider had his His hand on us at the founding of our country and he has his hand on us now. And we need to take great heart from that because the headlines and all the things that are coming at us, there is such an evil, particularly Colorado, seems to be at the tip of the spear of all of this. But the divine provider is in control. We are to do our part each and every day. And that is searching for truth, clarity, and speaking truth and clarity into these issues. Our quote of the day is from George Washington, and he was born in 1732. He died in 1799. He was a founding father. and the first president of the United States, serving from 1789 to 1797. He was the commander of the Continental Army, and he led us to victory in the American Revolutionary War, and he’s known as the father of our nation. And he was born February 22, 1732 in New Time. In Old Time, it was February 11, 1731, and I was not sure what the difference was between the two. And this is from Wikipedia AI, I think. It says, old time and new time typically refer to different dating systems, specifically the transition from the Julian calendar, old style, to the Gregorian calendar, new style. This change involved adjustments in how dates were recorded and celebrated, particularly in countries like Great Britain and the 18th century. And George Washington said this, he said, the last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. And that segues right into our bill of the day, which we will be putting this commentary, this analysis into an email, sending that to legislators and the governor. Because these are bills that are scheduled for hearing this week. This is Senate Bill 42. The prime sponsors are Senator Mike Weissman, Senator Judy Emma Bile, Representative Yara Zokaya, and Representative Emily Sirota. And it’s titled Revenue Classification Taxpayers Bill of Rights. And so what happens… And this has been happening for a long time. Both Republicans and Democrats have done this. Keep resetting what’s considered revenue for the Tabor classification. And Tabor is Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights, which was an amendment that was passed by the people of Colorado back in 1992 and basically says that three things. If government is It’s going to, well, PBIs, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties, if they are going to raise taxes, they have to ask us. If they want to incur debt that we have to pay off, they have to ask us. And if they, if the government has taken in more of our taxes above a very generous formula of population plus inflation growth, that money is to be returned to the government. taxpayer. But the Colorado government at all levels, local, county, and state, have an insatiable appetite for your money, my money. And so one of the ways that they’re working around this is if they can get funds out of what’s considered part of the Tabor calculation. And you’ve seen this with enterprise zones, calling taxes fees. Here we’ve got revenue classification, which I think this is probably unconstitutional, because in essence, it’s a tax increase, and they’re not having us vote on it. But they probably are figuring, hey, take us to court in doing so. But Anyway, as it says, the bill clarifies this is our commentary. And thank you to Wendy for the commentary on this particular bill. Wendy Warner says the bill clarifies that two types of income. One is revenue from the excise tax on gasoline used as fuel for the propulsion of specified aircraft and certain civil fines and penalties imposed by the state should not be considered in the calculation of the Tabor limitation on state fiscal spending. this bill directly affects tabor refunds by narrowing what counts as revenue subject to the constitutional spending limit it is just another attempt to retain funds that otherwise might be refunded to the taxpayers under tabor colorado’s taxpayers bill of rights the addition of the safety clause which means that it prevents us we the people from being able to review this uh via referendum before it’s put into law is another insult is the only danger is that the state government might not be able to keep more of our taxpayers money and then you also have homework and that is to go to our website coloradotaxpayer.org that’s for colorado taxpayers bill of rights at the top click on cut engaged and there are several bills that we have selected from the last couple of weeks that you can make your voices heard. And it’ll only take you 30 seconds, maybe max, per bill. But I’d highly recommend that you have your voices heard on House Bill 26-1001. And I mentioned this in the newsletter yesterday. I said House Bill 1001, which is making its way through the Colorado State Legislature disrespects every coloradan it’s cleverly named the home that’s housing opportunities made easier act however it should be called the con control our neighborhoods act the top five reasons that house bill 26 1001 is an onerous piece of legislation are one it silences our voices Number two requires, there’s your force word, jurisdictions to allow subsidized housing on parcels of five acres or less that are owned by a nonprofit, public transit, school district, college or university, housing authority, or regional transportation authority. And it hides this process under a shroud of unelected administrative bureaucracies. So we have no voice. It requires that this can happen on these properties. It’s through the administrative process, not going through planning and zoning like our other projects have to. It allows these bureaucrats who are unelected and unaccountable to pick winners and losers on this. And it uses our tax dollars to do this. It uses our tax dollars to subsidize these developers. And so this will change the fabric of our neighborhoods. And this is for every… municipality jurisdiction in Colorado with 2,000 people or more. And she’s got a really interesting story. And it’s interesting how she’s on the show. Pam Long had sent me a text message and said, Kim, you need to get this woman on the show because she was at a Nordstrom rack and she noticed a peeping Tom that was trying to look at her. So it was on my list of things to do. And I ended up at a luncheon last week and a number of women there and was going through the buffet line and turned around to introduce myself to the person behind me. And it was Michelle Chandler. So I thought this is divine providence stepping in and saying, get her on the show as soon as possible. So Michelle Chandler, welcome to the show.

Thanks. Thank you, Kim. Thanks for having me. Yeah, I’m just I’m glad to be here to share my story and use my voice. And in this time that, you know, we really need to be standing for truth and speaking out.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and this is so interesting. And this is from CBS News from last year, May 14th, 2025. And this story was by Kirsten Roth. It says Colorado woman stops man recording women in dressing rooms, speaks at a sentencing a year later. So what happened?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, so it was May of 2024, and it was the day before Mother’s Day. And I was going into the Nordstrom Rack in Belmar over in Lakewood, and I just wanted to find an outfit for Mother’s Day. And I walked in there, and I’m a pretty loyal customer, or I was, of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. And so I’m really familiar with all of the stores locally and their setups and their fitting rooms. What I did notice, and granted, this was a couple years ago. And so I think even prior to that, I feel Nordstrom had discreetly removed their signage from their fitting rooms. um for whatever reasons um but on that day the the fitting rooms did not have you know designated men’s and women’s side and the uh the setup of this store was uh one main entrance that’s open and you go left into women’s or right into men’s and um on that day i went in with a bunch of clothes and the fitting room attendant said both sides are open, pick any room with an open door. And that’s when I noticed there were no signage up. And I was just kind of like, well, I’m going left because I’ve always gone left. To the women’s side, right? Yes. Well, it was unmarked, but to the side that had always been women’s. So I went down there. Another gal was with me. Um, went down there and there was a couple, um, uh, it was like a husband, wife or dating. I don’t know, but there was a guy, a gentleman standing outside of a fitting room door. Um, you know, kind of like looking at what she was trying on. She’d come out, open the door. I thought nothing of that. Cause I was like, well, he’s with his wife or something. Um, so I said, you know, let’s go all the way to the very end. No one else was in there. Um, that couple was getting ready to leave. So it was just the two of us, myself and another gal, um, trying on clothes. I don’t know how long it was, but I was trying on several different outfits. Um, and, uh, there was a time that I had my top off cause I tried on something that had like built in support, um, So and then I just noticed this really foul smell of feet. And I almost joked with the person I was with and said, you know, is that your feet? And I didn’t because I thought, what if someone else is in here? But it was really quiet. And as I bent over to take my pants off, I saw. men’s shoes and dirty socks and uh iphone camera lenses pointed directly up at me and uh yeah i was pretty caught off guard um do you want me to keep going yeah so then what happened Okay. So I quietly just stood up and I pulled my pants up. There’s no way he knew that I saw him because he had his phone in his hand, just angled up pointing at me. Um, he would have had to been like weighing on his back, looking up at his screen. So he’s just, the phone is just sitting there. I quietly pulled my pants up and, uh, quietly opened the fitting room door and walked out. Um, no one else was around. I went to the entrance to the fitting room and the fitting room attendant was there. And I just said, you need to go call for help, call security, call police. There’s a man filming me in the fitting room. She was shocked. And so she left. I went back. I wanted to make sure what I was seeing was correct. And I walked up to his fitting room that was next to mine. I bent down and, uh, I said, what are you doing? And I rattled the door and he didn’t say anything. I said, you’re filming me. And he said, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, ma’am. And just kept apologizing. And I’m hanging onto the door, rattling it. And I’ve said, you’re not going anywhere. And, um, he got himself together. Um, when I did come back, I squatted down to see, you know, with what I saw was correct. He had his pants at his thighs. Um, so, um, Anyway, he tried to get away. He was crawling under the fitting room next door, and I just kind of watched him and waited. And as he was completely on this other side of the fitting room that was next to him, he proceeded to get up, and I just pushed him back down, and I put my knee in his back, held him down, and I looked up, and the fitting room attendant was just standing at the end looking at me in shock. And I said, go call for help. And she said, I did, I did, I did. They’re coming. And, you know, shortly after a couple of male employees came running back and these were bigger guys and they said, what’s going on? And I said, this man was filming me in the fitting room. They said, how do you know? I kind of felt like I had to defend myself. Um, and I said, he, I saw his camera, I saw his phone and he apologized when I confronted him and they said, all right, well, we got it from here. And I said, he’s going to try and run. And they said, no, we, we got it. And I said, all right. So I slowly got up. Sure enough, the guy starts trying to take off and these two men. onto a sweatshirt and they’re trying to hold him and he’s fighting and getting away and gets all the way to the entrance of the fitting room. And I’m behind him. I can’t get around them because, you know, the fitting room aisle is pretty narrow. And we get to the entrance of the fitting room and I hear an employee say, there’s nothing you guys can do. You can’t do anything. So I was like, oh, heck no. I squeezed around him. I mean, I was getting elbowed and I squeezed around the three of them and I just looked up at the perpetrator and I grabbed him by the head and held him in a headlock and threw my body against his body against the wall. And I just hung on and he was fighting. Um, one of the employees was trying to hold his legs and another employee was pulling his sweatshirt around the corner of the wall. And, um, at that point, um, that went on for several minutes. Um, And I look up and there’s customers that are just looking at what’s going on. And I remember this one gentleman who was a customer. He pulled out his cell phone and he just started filming. And I looked right at him and I said, this is why men don’t belong in women’s fitting rooms. And one of the employees said, I couldn’t agree more. Find out that he got in trouble later by management for saying that. Um, but that went on for several minutes and then I was hanging onto him and I was feeling around in his pockets. I was able to get his phone and his wallet away from him. So at that point he gave up and he just kind of was like, I’m not going anywhere. Can I sit down? This is uncomfortable. And so the employee said, let’s just let him sit down and we’ll hang onto him. And I said, all right, but you better not let him go. So. I turned to another wall, still holding him in a headlock. And then I let him slide down the wall to sit down. And the employees, one sat on his feet, another held his arm behind his back. And, uh, I use that opportunity to go back to my fitting room, put my clothes back on because I was barefoot. I had Nordstrom pants that were unbuttoned unzipped. Um, and so I got dressed, came back and I’m just standing there between him sitting on the floor and the entrance of the fitting room. Cause I thought he better not try and run, but I have his, I have his phone. So, um, and at that point, um, Let me think. Oh, management comes back. And she comes to me and she told the employees that they needed to let him go. And I looked at her and I said, what are you talking about? I said, you allow people to just run out of here for shoplifting. Get away with that. Where does this end? Like, I could be your mom, your daughter, your sister, your wife. Like, where does this end? And she looked directly at me and in my eyes, and she said, if you want to continue holding him until police arrive, that’s up to you. But our employees need to remove themselves immediately. And she was very firm about that. And one of them looked up to me and said, are you going to be okay? And I just said, get him on his stomach. And so they got up. I got the guy on his stomach. I sat on his back. I pinned his arms behind his back with my knees on his elbows. and waited for the cops to come security came first and then the police arrived it was about 35 minutes from when i called for help and the police arriving you know what’s kind of frustrating is lakewood police department is directly across the street from this nordstrom rack so i am not even sure if nordstrom even called immediately when they did So that in a nutshell is what happened. But I pressed charges and a lot more came out over the course of the year in the court proceedings.
SPEAKER 03 :
OK, so we’re going to keep that as our cliffhanger. We are talking with Michelle Chandler regarding what happened in 2024 at the Nordstrom Rack in Belmar. And the point is, is Well, there’s a lot of points here, but we should not have men in women’s spaces. And of course, we now have men that are going into women’s locker rooms without any clothes on. And that is just creepy. And we have people that think that. That’s okay. It’s not okay. And we used to call peeping Toms perverts and creeps. And this is such an important story here in 2026 America. And these discussions happen because of our sponsors. A couple of questions, Michelle Chandler. First of all, where was your friend? You said you had another friend. Where was she in all of this?
SPEAKER 05 :
So if you can picture the sitting rooms, you know, a narrow hallway, and at the very end is usually a mirror, and then you have sitting rooms on either side. When we went in and I saw that couple kind of at the entrance, I said, just go all the way to the end so we can use that mirror, you know, come out and try things on. So she went all the way to the end at the very first fitting room stall. I was at the second one coming, you know, closer to the, just the second one next to her. And then the perpetrator was right next to me. She was trying on stuff. She didn’t know anything was going on until she heard me say, what are you doing? And I was rattling his door. And she just came out in shock and just kind of stood there. Well, when things progressed to him trying to get away and we were kind of wrestling with him and I got him in the headlock, she started videotaping and just kind of she was a bystander videotaping and getting some photos.
SPEAKER 03 :
And those photos probably were really important. In fact, one of our listeners, Susan, said hopefully you pulled out your phone camera as well. So she did that. How did you know to put him in a headlock and how to hold him down and all this?
SPEAKER 05 :
I really didn’t. It was probably instinct. But I will say mentally. And I think women really need to be prepared and get some sort of self-defense or just some sort of you have to think through things like we think this will never happen to me. And, you know, several years ago, one of my daughters was in the theater nine shooting with James Holmes. She was in the actual theater. And I think after that situation, as a family, we thought, let’s get let’s let’s get equipped let’s be prepared let’s learn about you know concealed carry gun safety and i think ever since then just mentally i’m always aware of my surroundings and so i think that’s what kept me calm and like what would i do i actually thought about this when it happened first years ago in a target sitting room i believe and i thought man what would i do if that happened to me and so um Yeah, I didn’t know. I just thought, I’m going to go to his head and hang on. A lot of people said, do you have training? And I don’t. But out of this, I’m really blessed and fortunate because Henner Gracie from the Gracie family, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he reached out to me and offered me free training. And so I’ve been doing that ever since and loving it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So this is part of the story. Now what happens?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I pressed charges. And so I really kind of I did a couple of interviews just staying very factual. But, you know, I was inundated with national media and, you know, other show, other TV shows, trying to news shows, trying to get me to do an interview. And I was just like I needed to process the whole thing. It happened at a very difficult time in my life that I was already dealing with other things. So. I pressed charges and I went to every court appearance that he had, probably a dozen over the course of a year. So it took a year for him to get sentenced. And then again, recent just in October. So just a few months ago because he violated probation, but through the court process. You know, the first few months were really difficult because I didn’t know what was on the phone. The police department couldn’t tell me. They were having trouble accessing his phone. And I just, you know, I was restless, just like, what is on there? How much did he get of me? Was I live streamed? Like, who’s seeing me? Like, it just felt very… disgusting, you know, being violated in that way. And, you know, I was wondering, like, police detectives in the crime lab, what are they, you know, they’re looking at me. And it was just the unknown. This was really uncomfortable. And then a few months into the court proceedings, the DA called me one night and said, well, we’re going to look at a continuance again, I’m sure. And I said, why? And he said, well, because he’s going to be quite surprised that we are adding six more counts of Jane does to your case. And I said, what does that mean? And apparently he was staged there for, um, like an hour and 45 minutes prior to me catching him. And he was filming other females in the fitting rooms. And one of them was completely naked. And, um, so six more counts of Jane does were added. And, uh, I kind of wrestled, you know, I wish I had more guidance. I kind of walked through this entire process alone. Um, and I wish I could have done more. Um, but I did ask the DA, I said, can we, can I go to the news and like, see if women will come forward and go to the PV and see if they can identify themselves. And, um, you know, I got an answer that, you know, kind of, I didn’t know what to do. You know, I was like, I don’t know if this guy goes to trial. Um, I don’t want to compromise anything. Um, I just kind of, I felt like my hands were tied, you know, and I know the DA is giving advice on their, from their perspective and trying not to give me advice, but Um, so, so they were added, I kind of carried that silent burden, you know, throughout the whole proceedings. And then I would wake up and I’d see other, other stories coming up in the news. Um, 12 year old being videotaped by a man in the fitting rooms at Hollister in California. And the mother caught him and, you know, confronted him on her phone and he got away. Um, so I came back to the DA and I’m like, what if these are minors? And they said, well, Lakewood says that they are unable to be able to identify them. So I kind of took that at face value and I thought, well, okay, I’ll do what I can to be the face of these women that don’t even know that they’re involved. And So it came out sentencing day, I did speak. I posted my sentencing statement on my Instagram page and it reflects my heart in the whole situation. But it came out in sentencing. He had a knife on him, so this could have been worse. He was staged there for two hours. He was, he admitted to being in the, he was gratifying himself in the process. And so Yeah, he got sentenced and, um, then he violated probation and had to get resentenced. I had to go back to court just in October. Um, but now that that is done, um, I, I feel like I’m ready to start advocating and, um, I am addressing Nordstrom, uh, to see how they’re going to respond to this. Um, you know, because I just think big corporate policies, um, they’re not set up to protect women. And there’s a lot of things that I really, through this process, I’ve learned that just need to change, and it’s going to be a fight. But, yeah, that’s kind of where I’m at right now.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, so these petitions by Protect Kids Colorado are really important. One of them is to keep men out of women’s sports and men out of women’s spaces. This is so important, so… It’s crazy. What’s happened to you is terrible. But in a way, Michelle, it’s mild to what’s happening with men totally naked in women’s dressing rooms. And at the event that we were at, Tish Hyman, who is a black lesbian, she was the woman that… got kicked out of Gold’s Gym in the LA area when a man came into the dressing room. She’s like, this is not OK. She’s now running for mayor of Los Angeles. But it’s madness what is happening. What happened to you in the old days, we would say that guy is a creep and a pervert. And really, you make that statement for sure. But then the fact that we’re allowing men and women spaces is crazy. It’s just crazy, Michelle Chandler.
SPEAKER 05 :
It is. It is. And, yeah, I love Tish Hyman. We connected a couple months ago and have been chatting. And I was at the event she was speaking at on Thursday where I met you. And I think it’s great. I love Erin Lee. I love what we’re doing. I love people that are standing up for this nonsense that was once common sense. And, you know, I love what we’re doing with, you know, men and women’s sports. And, you know, we’re realizing this, that this is a problem. But, you know, what’s happened to me, you know, there’s a percentage of females and girls that are athletic and in sports that are being affected by men and women’s sports. Right. But every 100 percent of women and girls across the country are affected by this. You know, we’re we’re, you know, biologically different. Our vulnerabilities are different. Our risks are different as women. And pretending otherwise doesn’t make us safer. And, you know, fitting rooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, places that we are undressing, you know, that affects 100 percent of females and girls across the country. And something needs to change. You know, we can’t, we’re partially undressed when we go to the bathroom. We’re fully undressed when we’re in fitting rooms. And, you know, right now we’re unguarded. Can we trust that, you know, those spaces are set aside for us by design and expectation. And it’s been, it’s been a normal common sense thing. And to have to fight for this now and to, and it’s really, I don’t know. It’s just crazy that we even have to have these conversations now.
SPEAKER 03 :
It is crazy, but we have to have these. So we’re getting short on time, Michelle Chandler. Has Nordstrom made any changes about putting up signage that this is women’s dressing rooms and there’s men’s dressing rooms? And I know normally there used to be… There might be seating outside the dressing room where if a husband and wife or boyfriend, girlfriend are out shopping where the female can come out and say, what do you think of this? I don’t think that should be in the dressing room area either. I think that should be out. Has Nordstrom made any changes to your knowledge on this?
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, at the time, they were already reconstructing and building new Nordstrom racks, and they were compliant. You know, their fitting rooms did go all the way to the floor. You know, but when they removed their signage, they should have made sure their older stores were, you know, constructed and ensured safety and privacy. I was in Phoenix last year. last April. So after sentencing was done and I walked into a Nordstrom rack just to check out their fitting rooms, um, it was the same setup as the one that my incident occurred in. And, um, they had put up temporary computer printed signage. So I feel like they’re acknowledging that they knew there was a problem after my incident. Um, but as far as major changes, I’m not sure it even says in the police report that I got that, um, you know, They noted, the police noted that there was no distinct signage in their stores. So there’s a lot, you know, I want to address and that I hope will be addressed. But, you know, it’s really sad. I just I would love to tell Nordstrom, you know, you claim to run a family business. And if this happened to a girl or woman in your family, your daughter, your sister, your wife, would you have helped when the perpetrator was trying to get away? Because this is not okay, and all women and girls, you know, including their own family, need to be safe and protected in our private spaces. So I really feel like a cause has been laid at my feet, and I’m not just going to heal from it, but I will rise and try and become a change agent and advocate, you know, for women and girls in private spaces in this political climate that protects big corporate policies and gender ideologies over our safety.
SPEAKER 03 :

And February is George Washington’s birthday month. It’s also the month that Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan were born. But we’re focusing on George Washington and what was happening during the founding of our country. And there were five different times that he was shot at and was unscathed. We’ve talked about a couple of them. This is the third one. And it says, the next effort to capture Fort Duquesne was made three years later in 1758 under the command of the British General John Forbes. He was to lead between 6,000 and 7,000 men, three times Braddock’s force. Much had been learned since the great defeat. Diplomatic efforts were undertaken with the Indians. And the value of provincial troops fighting in the Indian manner was recognized. temporarily designated a brigadier general. Washington was given command of the advanced brigade made up of local troops. The army was encamped along the route when scouts reported that a large enemy force was within three miles. Forbes ordered Washington to send out 500 of his Virginians, and listening to hot firing and judging that the Americans were falling back, Washington received Forbes’ permission to go to the rescue. Hold on here, just one sec there. There we go. And with a group of volunteers. As they advanced through thick woods and deepening twilight, they saw facing them armed men lurking behind trees. The two groups were quick to fire at each other. Finally, the cacophony of gunshots sank to a moment of silence. Washington could hear an order being shouted to the opposing force. It was a familiar voice. They were firing on each other. So Washington, as he remembered, ran between the lines of firing men, knocking them up with a sword and presented pieces. Bullets sped around him before the two bloody groups could be made to understand 14 had been killed and 26 wounded. Washington commented when the Revolutionary War was behind him that this his life had been in. that his life had been in as much jeopardy as it ever had been before, and he was not touched. After this successful capture of Fort Duquesne, Virginia’s role in the French-Indian War and Washington’s active participation came to an end. And so that’s our tribute to George Washington. And these stories are so important about our history. And on the line with me is Paula Sarles. She is the president of the USMC Memorial Foundation. Right, it is our main fundraiser, and then we’ve started, we have a full year of fun things to do, but the President’s Challenge, Birthday Challenge, is coming up in March, and It centers around the number seven because it’s my 77th birthday and it’s my 57th anniversary. And so the challenge is for me to stand for a minimum of seven hours at the memorial and I’m going to be reading the names of the fallen people that bought bricks, their loved ones and others and telling stories of people that, as I read their name, if there’s something that hits me that I remember, I will try to tell a little story, and it’ll be a fun time. We’ll have some games and stuff out there, too, and hopefully people will donate $57 or $77 in honor of my birthday and my anniversary. Okay. You know, I kind of did this to remember Tony because it’s our 57th anniversary and I thought it would be fun.

And he is, you are a Gold Star wife. Is that challenge on the website yet or will that be there soon?

It’ll be up soon. And it’s just, you can just go on the website and donate 57 or 77 and we’ll know what it’s for oh okay that’s great and that website is usmcmemorialfoundation.org that’s usmcmemorialfoundation.org and what day will you be doing the seven hours out at the memorial on march 14th it’s a saturday so it’s a good day to just take a little ride out there and see what the memorial’s about, and we’ll have some of our staff out there that’ll be telling people what everything’s about, too.
