SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome to Restoring Education in America with Priscilla Rahn. She’s a master educator and author leading the conversation to restore the American mind through wisdom, virtue, and truth.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Restoring Education in America. I’m your host, Priscilla Rahn. Thank you so much for joining the conversation today. You know, as parents, we only have one opportunity to raise our children. And there is a new school that’s opening. It’s a private classical school called Excalibur Classical Academy. And the heart behind this school is to restore America’s heritage by developing servant leaders who are keepers and defenders of the principles of freedom for which our founding fathers pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. It’s a private school, tuition-based. Please go to their website to learn more because the curriculum is amazing. Their website is ExcaliburClassicalAcademy.org. They’re also hiring for teachers. So if you’re interested in being part of that special community from the ground up and being a part of the inaugural creation, parents, if you have children starting kindergarten through third grade, please send your children to Excalibur Classical Academy. And here’s one thing I can commit to you. You will know what books are in the library. You will know what books your children are reading. And you will be a part of the education of your children. I can’t stress this enough in this day and age that in Colorado specifically, we have lawmakers who are lacking virtue and character. And they’re passing all kinds of laws and they’re shooting down laws that would be good for the protection of the children in our state. And I want to bring two of my friends. They are leadership program of the Rockies alumni. My dear friends, the Honorable Stephanie Hancock and Mr. Kane of Task Force Freedom. Hi, guys. All right, my friends, we are a little bit of an anomaly to some people because we are black conservatives and very proud of the fact that we love our country. We believe in the highest law of the land, which is our Constitution. The things that we do are mission based. And so I just want to talk about some of the things that are going on that are impacting our families in Colorado. OK, so let’s just start with a recent one. OK, Kane, you have some information about Scott Bottoms, who’s a state rep who introduced a bill called Children Are Not For Sale. And tell us what happened down at the state when he introduced this bill.
SPEAKER 03 :
So I got information this week through a text message that he was trying to introduce this bill to get it passed. And what it does is it increases the penalty for child sex trafficking. I can’t remember what the actual recurrent penalty is, but he’s trying to get it to life in prison for harming and sex trafficking a child. And no surprise to me, and the Democrats, they shot it down. The same thing, I think, in that same bill was to increase the penalty for human trafficking. So I would ask you and to your audience, what is their motivation? Why would anyone shoot down a bill that would protect children from these freaks and perverts? Why would anyone? I can only surmise if they’re okay with that process, that maybe they have friends that they’re trying to protect. Maybe… them. Maybe they’re trying to protect them. Oh, Cain, you’re saying a lot. I don’t know that for sure. I do know this. If I ride in a car with a guy or a girl that goes in and they rob a bank, guess who’s going to be charged with bank robbery? Everybody involved in that situation. Are these people allowing these folks to exist to continue to harm our kids by shooting down these bills?
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 03 :
And so I politely call them freaks and perverts.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, let’s name names. Okay, the committee members who voted against this, Javier Mabry, Representative Javier Mabry. Representative Chad Clifford. Representative Lorena Garcia. Shocker. Representative Michael. I can’t read his last name. He’s the vice chair of the committee. Representative Cecilia Espinoza. Representative Jen Bacon. Come on, sis. Representative Yara Zakai. I think she’s the one that doesn’t know how to dress for work and wears miniskirts. I mean, she can wear whatever she wants to wear. It’s America. But, you know, it’d be nice that our state representatives would have some virtue, some decorum, some professionalism when they go down to the state capitol and take the work seriously. They are not for protecting our kids. at all. So I’m just really upset about this. Okay. Fast forward to SB 26097. Now, Stephanie, you are a city councilwoman. You know, and we are all freedom loving people. So let’s have this conversation as freedom loving people. What is the problem with two adults consenting to what they’re calling commercial sexual activity?
SPEAKER 04 :
well you know consenting adults can do whatever they want but there is a fundamental breakdown in humanity when this bill colorado sb 26-097 would fully decriminalize commercial sexual activity between adults statewide and preempt local governments from enforcing their own prostitution laws it will repeal criminal penalties for prostitution soliciting patronizing and keeping a place of prostitution this means cities like aurora where i represent the constituents of ward 4 would lose the ability to prohibit and enforce laws against prostitution even if it directly impacts neighborhoods you know this thing it has it’s like the broken windows effects once you start with this you’ve got all kinds of other ancillary criminal activity comes along with it. You know, drugs, organized crime, you know, all kinds of things that go around that, that would put our neighborhoods in danger. Some years ago, I was in Amsterdam where prostitution is legal and, you know, they diminish people to pieces of commodity. And I just feel like, you know, trafficking would be extended not only to women and, but also to children, which is a problem that we’re having right now. You know, I think there was a few years ago, they busted a nail salon that had women held captive in the basement. Okay, nail salon on top, prostitution in the bottom. This just opens up a whole nother can of debauchery that we don’t need to have in our city. And it undermines safety. It undermines the family dynamic. It undermines culture in our city. I’m just mystified that they’re even thinking about doing this.
SPEAKER 01 :
So back to virtue and how we are trying to raise the next generation of children to value their bodies, to value other people, to understand the ramifications of having multiple partners that are not your covenant spouse. Yeah. And people argue, well, I’m not a Christian. I don’t believe in that. But we still have to be a society, I think, that has certain boundaries around behavior. And I certainly don’t want young people in Colorado growing up thinking that this is a career path for them. that this is something that’s good for them i’m not going to apologize for having morals and values and believing in virtuous behavior so kane as someone who is spending so much of his time protecting children how does this bill you know resonate with you what’s your first response to it
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m going to be as polite as I can. These are evil people. I know we want to try to reach across the aisle and find common ground. How do you find common ground with people that want to make prostitution legal? I used to be a police officer. I know firsthand what it does, mostly to young women, very young. See, 18 is the age. Some of these women, they’re 18 years old, but they have a mind of a 12-year-old. What happens to them? Many of the murders that take place, many of the serial killers, who do they go after? They go after prostitutes. They go after these lost souls that probably haven’t seen their family in decades and they disappear and nobody cares. Nobody cares. You can go to the FBI right now and you can see thousands and thousands of young women that are just gone and nobody cares. But we have a a state representative. If I can call their names, please. That’s Javier, Chad, Lorena, Mike, Sissy, Jen, Jara. I don’t know what your name is. These are evil people, and it’s high time we remember what they are. We never, ever forget what they’ve done to our kids and what they’re doing to the culture. Never, ever forget these people. The time will come when our votes will make a difference, and we should never, ever for the rest of our days, forget what these monsters did to our children.
SPEAKER 01 :
So Kane, this, these people are a master of word smithing, right? They change the names. Will they go, Oh, minor attracted persons. They’re changing pronouns. So now it’s commercial sexual activity, not prostitution, not sexual sin. Let’s call it what it is.
SPEAKER 03 :
I recently started referring to the Democrat Party as Marxie communists, Marxie comms. I added on top of that because people understand this term. They may not understand what a Marxist is or what a communist is. They do know what a pimp is. Whether it’s from watching television or personal experience, they know what a pimp is. And a pimp is a horrible, controlling human being. And they use their words. They use intimidation. They use threats. They use violence. And they change the narratives and the wording. Personal experience dealing with pimps and everything that if you look up the word pimp and what it describes, it is the marxicoms, the Democrats that are using that strategy on our culture and on our people.
SPEAKER 04 :
And let’s call this what it is. This is a plot from the pit of hell. Let’s just call it what it is. This is an attack from a biblical and a spiritual perspective. We’re looking at people who have, this is an attack on the image bearers of God. And if you take and reduce a person to their lowest common denominator, where they would sell their bodies for a dollar, And debase themselves in such a way that they forget their own humanity and people treat them less than human. Then the enemy wins. The enemy takes. And I know of several people who whose mission in life is to go out on these streets and talk to these women and try to pull them off the street. And they have been so debilitated, their minds, to your point, what you said, Cain, their intelligence, their own personal agency and sovereignty has been washed down so much they don’t even know who they are. And it’s only God that’s going to pull them out of the darkness into the light. And to have this be codified as something that’s an actual business practice by our own state government says a lot about what these people think about women. OK, because women are mostly prostitutes. There are men, too, but mostly women. And to have them cry out of both sides of their mouth, we have to protect women. We have to protect our girls and then say it’s OK to have legalized prostitution. In our state.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. So either they truly understand what prostitution is and they’re all for it or they’re ignorant. And so I want to believe that they’re just stupid and they’re not purposely putting people in this position. But I know of prostitutes who used abortion for contraception. And I mean their entire life, once every 12 months, once every six months. That’s what they did. And it’s unfortunate because if these people are just stupid, they really don’t understand really what happens to these young ladies. They really have no idea the… depressing, cruel treatment that these women receive. They have no idea. And I want to say, hey, ride along with a police officer and go to those places where these $5 prostitutes hang out and see what they have to do for a few bucks. And then you tell me you’re okay with that. And if you say you’re okay with it, then God’s going to deal with you at some point in life.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, let’s name names, the prime sponsors who have no problem creating a bill like this. So Senator Nick Henriksen, Democrat. Senator Lisa Cutter, Democrat. Senator Lorena Garcia, Democrat. Senator Rebecca Stewart, all of whom were endorsed by the teachers union. So if you’re a teacher and you pay union dues, Just know that your hard-earned money goes to support over 95% of the time Democrats, if not 100% of the time, because I can’t tell you the last time the teachers union supported a Republican candidate for anything. They always support Democrats who create bills and pass laws that are not in the best interest of educators and children. And this is what they’re doing with their time. They’re going down to the Capitol and they’re writing like 700 bills a year. And this is what they’re, how does this make life better for you and I? How does this make Colorado more affordable? How does this help our veterans? How does this make sure we have more highly qualified teachers in the classroom who are well-paid? I just, I don’t see how they’re doing anything to help industry in our state. I mean, that’s another question. Are they going to be paying taxes? I mean, gross.
SPEAKER 04 :
And to Kane’s point earlier, a lot of these victims of prostitution are underage girls. They’re underage people who don’t have the capacity to make decisions. And if the age of consent is 12 in this state, correct me if I’m wrong, these are middle schoolers we’re talking about.
SPEAKER 01 :
They’re saying you have to be an adult. You have to be 18? Yeah, an adult.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
regardless i was dumb as a brick when i was 18. but you have to understand the strategy so they’re saying you’re you’re an adult at 18. in california it’s 16. you can consent to sex with an adult at age 16. and so they play the long game they play the long ball we’re going to implement this rule and then somewhere down the road we’re going to change the age of consent to 16. we’re going to change the age of consent for um prostitution at 16 and then someday it’ll be 14. here’s my challenge and i love these platforms because it gets the word out there but if we don’t do anything if we just look at these podcasts and these platforms and we as christians and pastors and teachers and firemen and and police if we do nothing it’s useless We need to fight back. And when I say fight back, I’m not saying do this crazy stuff like the trans Tifa folks. I’m saying just use your voice. Just tell the truth. At every turn, tell the truth. Even if it means you see this Chad guy in the supermarket. Go, hey, Chad, I know what you did. And God’s going to hold you accountable for that. Maybe not on this planet, my friend. But one day you will be held accountable for what you’ve done to children and to our God-given culture.
SPEAKER 01 :
but why do morals matter though why why why do morals and virtue matter in a free society well it’s important to know where that comes from your morals and your values come from christ come from god
SPEAKER 03 :
which was noted in our founding fathers, the Declaration of Independence and our Bill of Rights. It’s noted and we were founded on the principle of God. I’m not saying which God, but on God. And when you lose that moral compass, then all of these things will take place.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, there’s only one God, so we know which God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 01 :
I mean, so, I mean, but, you know, we do have choices, you know, but we do have laws.
SPEAKER 03 :
Because our founding fathers said, God, they did not specify a religion. Correct.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, and noble rights do come from God. And for us as followers of Christ, as believers, which I am, I believe that our founders believed the rights such as life, liberty, property, pursuit of happiness came from our creator, from nature’s God, not from kings, queens, or legislators. And so for us, no one can take that right from us. But if you allow the most vulnerable among us to be victimized, then how are we protecting the inalienable rights of those who are also created in the image of God? We are held responsible as legislators, as followers of Christ, as members of the church body, as citizens of this country. We have an obligation to protect those who are most vulnerable among us and not allow these predators—this is predatory in nature— to disrespect and deface the God-given people that we are, that are inalienable rights as citizens by our creator. And we have got to fight back. I urge every single person, if you’re mad about this, because I’m mad as heck, write these people, call these people, show up at the hearings. When this bill is introduced, you need to go down there and force. And here’s the thing. That makes me very disheartened and sad is that because of our lopsided legislature right now, even if a Republican comes and says, this is wrong, we shouldn’t do this, because it’s very partisan, even if they know it makes sense, they’ll vote against it. And then we’ll have this mess that we’ll have to contend with for generations to come.
SPEAKER 01 :
You know, there’s a real deep level of darkness in your heart or an absence of God in order to present and write a bill like this. There’s something just not right.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 01 :
Say that again.
SPEAKER 03 :
Can I say this? Nothing surprises me from these Marxicoms. And let me explain why. When you’re okay with killing a baby on the day that it’s due, anything and everything is possible from you evildoers. as they are here in Colorado, as they celebrate it in New York City, when you can kill the baby on the day that it’s due, as long as it’s not out, it’s not murder. You can kill a nine-month-old baby in the womb. They are capable of doing and writing any bill that destroys humanity, and they don’t care. This is evil people. Don’t want to reach across the aisle. I don’t want to find a level playing ground with these monsters. The thing that needs to take place is they need to be voted out of office, period.
SPEAKER 01 :
So, Cain, you know what surprises me and Stephanie? There are folks down at the Capitol who are professing Christians who constantly vote against morals, values, virtue, and yes, God’s law. And I don’t see how you separate your walk with God because God’s law is higher than man’s law. That should be so embedded in who you are and the decisions that you make and the laws and policies that you support. And these are common sense things. And I could make an argument that our nation was founded on Christian principles, not a denomination, not Baptist or Catholic or Protestant, but on Christian biblical values. Yes, because our nation was not based on Sharia law. Right. or any other religious laws. Our laws are not based on Buddhist laws. Our laws are based on Christian laws and how God has designed our society to look. And people can argue all day long that it’s not, but evidence is in our constitution, in the language, in our constitution, in our declaration. I think we’re missing this fundamental piece of understanding our heritage in America about how we make decisions that are good, moral, upright, based on truth, based on virtue. If we could get back to those fundamentals, i think we could have a better society we’d have less fighting we’d have less evil all of these things that we’re talking about and this what i’m seeing from the democrats down at the state legislature does not represent servant leadership to me stephanie because i know that’s a term you like to use we have a little bit of time left i know there was a paper that you guys were talking about who wants to jump in and talk a little bit about it
SPEAKER 04 :
bonhoeffer diedrich bonhoeffer the theory of stupidity yes yes the theory of stupidity i mean it we’re sensible people and and and this is how you know before in the third reich how so many people intellectuals educated people were ruled by the mob and threw off common sense embraced lunacy and ended up killing millions of people as a result. You know, in his book, Letters and Papers from Prison, Dietrich Bonhoeffer talked about how people were enticed and really driven to stupidity and you find that a lot of folks are that way today they cite and and where you see intellectual people become stupid they will cite lines like well everybody does it well the left is just as bad as the right well you know yes boys can be girls it’s okay for men to be in women’s sports When we know 20 years ago, that wasn’t even in our lexicon. And it has become part of who we are today because the mob and the pressure of that mob has turned people’s sentiments and they’ve left common sense behind.
SPEAKER 03 :
They’ve moved that Overton window, if I’m not correct. And one of the things he had mentioned, and I only had two pages, part of the book, and he had mentioned how you can’t negotiate with these people You can’t compromise with them because of what you’re saying. They just have these mantras that they repeat over and over again. And so I say, I don’t want to reach across the aisle. I want these people removed through our election system. That’s the only way we get to win this battle. That’s the only way we can change the direction of our state and of our country by removing these evil animals. Yes, they do profess to be Christians. That is not for me to judge. Someday you’re going to stand at that gate and you’re going to have to atone for the things that you’ve done in life and what you’ve done to other people.
SPEAKER 04 :
And let me just read this little bit from his letters from prison. It says, upon closer observation, it becomes apparent that every strong upsurge of power in the public sphere, be it of a political or religious nature, infects a large part of humankind with stupidity. The power of one needs the stupidity of the other. The process at work here is not that particular human capabilities, for instance, like intellect, suddenly atrophy or fail. Instead, it seems that under the overwhelming impact of rising power, humans are deprived of their inner independence and more or less consciously give up establishing an autonomous position toward emerging circumstances. They get beat down to the point where they accept it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, ma’am. I think one of the other things he says that it’s the stupid person is worse than the ones with malice. The ones with malice, they’re predictable. You can see their pattern. Stupid people react in ways that are not conforming to any logic at all. And so and so they’re worse. Like we had mentioned the lady that got shot. four times in the face. That police officer had no idea that this lady who looked normal was going to try to run him over. And now she’s dead. The gentleman that showed up to the, we’re going to say the riots, but to the protest with the ICE agents and picked a fight with them. And so they’re wrestling with this guy. And one officer screams, gun. I know how this works. When he screams gun, everybody, all the officers are pulling their gun out. And he got shot multiple times. Multiple times. Because why? He’s stupid. He died for nothing. His life meant nothing because people on high convinced these stupid people to go out and protest to fight for criminals. That’s got to be stupidity, right?
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, you guys, I’m looking at the time. We could go on, but we have to land our plane. And I really appreciate Stephanie Hancock and Kane coming on and talking about what’s going on in our state. And we do need people to turn out to the state capitol and speak to the legislators. But to my listeners, thank you so much for tuning in. Catch me next time. And remember, educating the mind without the heart is no education. So seek wisdom, cultivate virtue, and speak truth.
