CHRYSANDRA :
Welcome everyone to The Calling’s radio show to all the dreamers. I’m your radio host, Dr. Crisandra Brunson, founder and CEO of The Calling. And it is such an honor to be with all of you today. You know, at The Calling, we have realized that so many people are afraid to go after the dreams that Jesus has put inside each of our hearts because we are afraid to fail. And that’s just plain wrong because if God has given us a dream and we’re not living it out, we are wasting it. And we do not want anyone to die with any regret. That’s why at The Calling, we love to inspire, empower, and equip people to, after God’s calling on their lives, treat the best kind of eternal legacy possible to have immediate impact on themselves and their families. We love to do this through so many different avenues, through custom tools, programs, workshops, seminars, but especially through this radio show where we bring on world-renowned guests to share how they’re going after their God-given dreams and how you can do the same. Today, as no exception, we have the world-renowned Kimberly Fletcher. Kimberly, welcome to the show. Oh, I am so excited to be here.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Cassandra, you’ve got some energy, girl.
CHRYSANDRA :
Well, this is so special and truly just so honored to have you on, Kimberly. There’s been no one like you, and we’re just so excited to hear the details of what you’re doing. Can you just share a little bit of your platform, Kimberly, and some of the roles that you have led so far?
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
So we are a national movement of over 500,000 moms across the country representing all 50 states, and we are on a mission to promote education liberty and truth and the Constitution and freedom. It is extremely important that moms realize just how powerful we are in the direction that our societies, our cultures and our nations go. And that’s really the core root of what we do is empower moms, promote liberty and raise patriots and help moms realize just how significant their influence is.
CHRYSANDRA :
And tell us again, Kimberly, the name of this incredible movement. It is Moms for America.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
And moms can come find us at momsforamerica.us. We have really great programs that the empower thing is really important to us. We have booklets from Parental Rights Guide to Gender Confusion to Your Place in the World. I mean, all these different booklets that are free to download. And moms can find out, you know, what is affecting our children, what is affecting our community, and how can we turn that around? How can we infuse truth and light in our communities and help protect our children? We also have cottage meetings, which we affectionately label Tupperware for Liberty. And you can invite friends and neighbors into your home and share the principles of liberty through inspiring stories and examples that moms relate to. And then, of course, we have MomVote. which is empowering moms to be able to vote their values with confidence through the information and tools we provide. And we have a whole entire Liberty Kids Club where all the things that moms are learning, they kept saying, how can we share this with our children? And so we created Liberty Kids America so that the things they’re learning, they can share with their children.
CHRYSANDRA :
And Kimberly, you started this incredible organization. Take us back to the beginning of your roots as a little girl. How did God start planting these seeds in your heart to be doing this today? You know, that is such a good question.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
And I love the way that you posed it because God was planting those little seeds, but you don’t realize it until that calling has come to you. And then you kind of look back and go, holy cow, the Lord has been preparing me all along the way to do something I had no idea that I was going to do. So I give a lot of credit to my faith. You know, going to church and having God in my life was a huge, huge influence. And I learned a lot from I would call them heroes and patriots from the Bible and the courage that they and sacrifice that they made for knowing what for doing what they knew was right and true. and when they saw things wrong, how that they affected them. Those things impacted me. My mother and father had a huge influence on me. My mom was one of the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. I didn’t know what that was at the time. I just knew that my mom was standing outside of church with a clipboard, getting all these women to sign these petitions. And we just thought that was kind of cool that everybody was coming and signing something that she wanted. And I watched her call into the local radio show. And this was way before Rush Limbaugh made AM popular again. And she would call into the radio show and talk to the host. And I thought, wow, my mom is famous. No, I didn’t know. And I heard her pray for me. When I would walk by her bedroom door, I would hear her pray for me. All of these little things just kind of started to build this passion of freedom and truth and light inside of me. And then there was my dad. And he I remember one time he was pastoring our church and he went into McDonald’s and he said, hey, we’re going to have a church picnic. And I need one of your big five gallon, you know, pitchers that they have their their coolers and and your orange drink. And they’re like, OK. And they hand it over to him and he goes, and I’m going to need about 50 Happy Meal toys. And they said, OK. And I’m like, and so I walked out and I was like that. why did he give you all those things and he said because i asked and i was like well what if he said no and he goes well then we don’t do it right but if you don’t ask then you’re never gonna and i was like it’s like that whole you know you miss every shot you don’t take and so i just that’s one of the things people say about me kimberly you’re not afraid to ask anybody anything and i’m like no what’s the worst they can say is no it’s okay move on it’s no big deal but if you don’t ask it could be a yes that you’re missing so those things really um They really built a passion inside me. I thought I saw my mom’s patriotism. I saw my dad’s conviction. I saw them both serve in the church and serve our family. And those laid the seeds. But it wasn’t until 9-11. I said I do to an officer in the United States Air Force. And that was a game changer in and of itself. But on 9-11, my husband was stationed at the Pentagon. And it was through a series of literal God-given miracles that he came home safe that day. And I dropped to my knees and thanked God when he walked in the door. And then the very next thing was just like a flood of questions. How did this happen? How did we get here? And that was the day that I understood for the first time, up close and personal, what the cost of freedom, the price of freedom really was. and i committed to paying it and that was the day i went from being patriotic to being a patriot and i’ve been on the front lines of freedom ever since but it was literally those three years in between 2001 and 2004 where i say i was under the tutelage of god there’s no way no other way i can explain it and he put me in the right places to have the experiences that i needed to have the people that i needed to meet to prepare me for something i had no idea was coming and um I had, just real quickly, I’ll say the three major events that happened in my life that led me to where I was is, of course, 9-11. And then one of my sons developed a physical condition that precluded him from going to public school. And so I went. and um to the school district and i was asking them about homebound i wanted to sign my son up for homebound and they said well you know homebound is the short-term uh answer and this could be a long-term issue that we really can’t help you with that i’m like what am i supposed to do my son’s got to go to school yeah and i’m not even kidding this was like a miracle in of itself the lady leaned over the counter and said have you considered homeschooling now Two months before, about six, seven weeks before that, a woman had moved into our neighborhood. Her husband was in the State Department. They’d been traveling around the world for 12 years and finally came back home. And somehow our kids connected and they were all like the same ages. And so we all became really good friends in that short period of time. And she homeschooled. And she kept saying, you should homeschool. And I’m like, I don’t want to hide my light under the bushel because I was dumb. And I’m pushing up against it. Well, when that staffer at the school district office said that, I was like, oh my gosh, Misty Foxley immediately came to my mind. And so I called Misty and I said, I need help. And she said, come over after church. So I got to her house at three o’clock in the afternoon. I left her house at 10 o’clock at night with the letter to the school district, a two week schedule and a bag of books. And I never looked back. And it was those two weeks where I’m sitting there with one of my children. I have eight children. I was sitting there with one of them, teaching them these things. And I’m like, wait a second, wait a second. I didn’t learn these things in school. And I was learning about our heroes, the patriots, not the numbers and the stuff that they shoved down you for information in your head. but the heart and soul of the sacrifice of these people. And it wasn’t just the men. It was the women, the children, a whole nation that rallied together to fight for freedom. And I read the Constitution. I read the Declaration of Independence. And I had a friend who invited me. to a town hall meeting and the speaker was talking about taxes and he said, well, how many congressmen do you have? And I raised my hand and I said, well, I don’t know how many congressmen we have, but I know how many senators we have. And everybody in the room laughed and I couldn’t figure out what was so funny. So I came home and I told my husband what happened and I said, what did I miss? And he said, um, I mean, every state has two senators. They thought you were joking. And I was like, oh, my gosh, why don’t I know this? So that’s when I started studying the Constitution. I took Making America. I read 5000 Year Leap. I mean, I was just I could not get enough. And that same man who invited me to a to a town hall meeting was calling me and telling me about the things that were happening and in our school district and the money they were spending and all this stuff. And I was like, you gotta be kidding. And he said, well, you should run for school board. I’m like, yeah, that’s not happening. And about the fifth time he calls me and I’m like, are you kidding me? And he goes, you know what? You have no right to say anything. And I was like, what? I was like, totally shocked. I have offered five times for you to be the solution to this problem and you won’t do it. So until you’re willing to step up, you don’t have a right to say anything. And so the next day I went and I registered for school board. So it was all of those experiences because when I ran for school board, I started to see something wicked this way come. And I saw, I mean, this was 2003. And I saw what was happening. I saw what was coming. And I saw it in the school books. I saw it in the classrooms. I saw how the unions were such a huge, played such a huge role. And I felt like I was like the silent voice on the hill trying to warn everybody. And God blessed, you know, America now because the Lord gave us the greatest gift with COVID, as horrible as that was. He shined a beacon light on all the cockroaches, the evil, and the darkness couldn’t hide anymore. And we suddenly saw what was happening. And if we hadn’t, I think we would have lost every opportunity to get America back on track and save us from complete annihilation.
CHRYSANDRA :
And you said yes to it, Kimberly. I mean, I think we’re just in awe and even just seeing that lens that COVID was such a gift to be able to see the cockroaches and to be able to lift it up. Kimberly, in this journey of being able to say yes, what has been one of the biggest moments where you had to overcome a giant to be able to get to the other side where it did seem impossible, but God was able to walk you through it?
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Wow. Well, I’d have to start with the very first hurdle because I didn’t realize I was being asked by God to do something. And in 2004, it was during that election that my eyes became open to a lot of things that were just wrong and not happening right. And I had this overwhelming feeling. that I was supposed to start a national organization. It was supposed to be about family and freedom, and that’s all I had. And I was like, okay, that’s just crazy. And people ask me all the time, how do you know when it’s God? And I said, well, it’s the Indiana Jones factor. Well, in the third movie of Indiana Jones, they’re going on this crusade for the Holy Grail.
CHRYSANDRA :
And I’m going to stop you right there, Kimberly. We have to take a short break, but we cannot wait for this, for an Indiana Jones analogy and parable. I’m excited. I’m your host, Dr. Cassandra Brunson, founder and CEO of The Calling. And it is such an honor to have the president and CEO, founder of Moms for America, the one and only Kimberly Fletcher. And Kimberly, you were just sharing about how you’ve been able to overcome huge giants. And you were just talking about Indiana Jones. Take us right back into that.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Yeah. So and it doesn’t now it doesn’t seem like, you know, such a big giant. But back then it was huge. And the experience helped prepare me for the really big giants that I would face. Right. But so, yeah, people always ask me, how do you know when it’s God calling you? Because I kept telling people I I literally was called by God. And once I realized that the only answer was, are you going to answer the call? Are you not? Yes. And I’m going to obey the Lord. You know, I said yes, but I didn’t understand what I was saying. Yes, too. So when people ask me, how do you know it was him? I said it’s the Indiana Jones factor in the third movie. They’re going on a search for the Holy Grail and they keep going from clue to clue to clue. And it gets to the last clue. And Indiana Jones father is dying on the on the floor. And that last clue is going to save his life. And so he goes out and the last clue, he comes out into this huge precipice that goes down for miles inside this cave. And he’s standing on this ledge and the clue is take a leap of faith. And you can see the pain and anguish and torment in his face where he’s like, no, I’m not going to do that. I will die to my death and fall to my death. And then finally he just closes his eyes and he takes that leap of faith. And, and, and a wall, a, a, um, a bridge appears that was always there, but you couldn’t was there because it blended within the rocks. And, and I was like, that’s it. When you’re everything inside your head is saying, turn and run the other way. But something deep inside your soul is saying, take a leap of faith. You take the leap of faith. That’s God. That’s how you know it’s God. And so I just try not to get in the way, but because of that experience, I was able to recognize that. when God was leading me to do something that I thought was absolutely insane. The next really big one, I would say, would be 2017, when God called me, Moms for America, to launch the Moms March for America, which was a counter to the pink hat brigade that descended on the nation’s capital and all their vulgarity, and displayed the worst part of women. And I realized that our influence was so powerful. There had to be a counter voice, a counter image to that. And because most of us are not that, you know. Well, I had $1,500 in the bank, five volunteers and a name, Moms March for America. And I took that leap of faith and God provided. We had the money to pay for it. We had major, major influencers who came just for their lodging and their travel. And it was miraculous. And then the next big one was when I got on my knees in 2021. Because we’d been living on a budget of $25,000, $30,000. And then it started to grow to $150,000, $200,000. And but it’s still it’s still an enormous amount of work. And I don’t I can’t pay people. I’ve got one person I paid. I’m not getting paid. Yeah, I work out there just trying to get it done. And I’m like, so I just got on my knees and I just told the Lord, you know, I’ll do whatever you want me to do for as long as you want me to do it. But I can’t do it like this anymore. I’ve got to have the money and the resources to be able to hire the people to get the work done. And the next day I got in touch with who has become our biggest donor. And we went from 150 000 175 000 um in 2020 to 3 million dollars in 2021 oh my gosh able to sustain that because of the lord last year was tough and we had because everybody thought we’re fine now and we’re not and so last year was a tough year and we had to let some people go but um But we’re still there. We’re still making it. And we’re still doing God’s work. And I will tell you, sometimes that challenge is just getting up every day and answering the call again.
CHRYSANDRA :
Oh, Kimberly, you’re speaking our language. And for you to be able to fearlessly say yes to Jesus every single day and the highs and the lows. And, you know, it’s such a great point, too, of, you know, when you do see breakthrough, it’s not, you know, the Lord keeps us on our toes. And so, right.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Well, there is a really, really big highlight here. that i think will help people understand you don’t the lord sees the whole puzzle and we just tend to see the backs of the pieces or the sometimes we’re lucky and we see the front of the pieces yeah but he sees it all and in 20 um it’s 2018 when justice kavanaugh was um trying to be confirmed and they were treating him so horribly um i just felt this overwhelming impression like i needed to be there i didn’t know what that meant but i got a one-way ticket i went to dc and um i ended up bringing in a bunch of moms i had this incredible gentleman who who stepped up to the plate and said i told him i need 25 000 to bring moms in to be the counter voice to the crazy yeah and he And he answered the call because when I asked him, I had just barely met him two weeks before. And I said, I know I just met you and I sent you a proposal. I need you to throw it in the trash because what I really need right now is $25,000 to bring moms into Washington, D.C. to the counter voice to these crazy women who are running through and accosting our senators. And he said, I need to pray on it. And I said, I would expect none less. He called me the next morning. And he said, well, Kimberly, I prayed over it and I didn’t get a clear yes or a clear no, but what I got was a clear vision of my maker standing before me and saying, Mr. Salisbury, when you had the opportunity to give and make a difference in this situation, why didn’t you? And he said, sir, I did. Kimberly, where do I wire the money? And so I brought in the moms and we were there. We went to all the, we went to the rallies. We went to all the offices. We brought them nice little notes of thank you. And we spent a lot of time with Senator Manchin and Senator Collins who were our swing votes. And the Wednesday before the vote, I did a last ditch effort. We had a press conference in the Phyllis Schlafly Center in DC. And then that night I had an interview with Martha McCollum. And as I was coming in, Congressman Jim Jordan came in and he’s like giving me a big thumbs up. And he’s like, good job. And I’m like, what he’s talking about. And then his in fury, his chief of staff comes in and he goes, Kimberly, the press conference was amazing. And I’m like, what? You saw it? He goes, it’s the talk of the hill. And I said, it is? And I thought nobody was paying any attention to anything. And so then I go into Martha McCallum and she asked me the same question everybody had been asking. Do you think she’s credible? And I said, well, I think she’s compelling. But without cooperation and substantiation, it’s just a compelling story. Two hours later, I got a phone call from a friend at Fox, and she said, Kimberly, do you have any idea what you’ve done? And I was like, oh, no, what did I do? And she said, nobody at Fox is using the word credible. They’re all using compelling. The next day, every single Republican senator was using the word compelling. And Susan Collins, when she got up to give her speech, she pulled excerpts out of the statement that we thought nobody was paying attention to. And she used the word compelling, and then she voted to confirm him. It was incredible. And then two years, four years later, 2022, six years later, holy cow, how time passes. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, something I never, ever thought I’d see in my lifetime. I literally just solved realizing. That having him in that place and the time that we spent there, that’s what made all the difference. And the first person that called me was Dick Salisbury, the man who gave the twenty five thousand dollars. And we and we prayed and we cried over the phone, thanking God for being able to be a small part of that incredible big win. So you have no idea what the puzzles look like, but you all have a piece. And if you don’t put your piece in there, then it may not be done.
CHRYSANDRA :
Kimberly, we’re just so grateful for your influence and we don’t know where time goes. We’re coming up towards the end of our show, but we would love to have you back sooner than later. There are a few things that we want to make sure that we hit on before we do end today. You know, there’s someone tuning in and they’re afraid to go after what God’s called them to. What would be your piece of advice and wisdom to be able to let them know that this is their moment to activate their God-given dream today?
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Don’t get in the way. Don’t get in the way of what God has placed before you. You have no idea the things that you agreed to before you were even born. He remembers. You don’t remember. Don’t get in the way. Just submit to him. Trust in him. And he qualifies who he calls and he will never leave you alone.
CHRYSANDRA :
We love that. And that’s so good because it isn’t our story, but we get to be grafted into his and everything that you’ve shared today, Kimberly, has been so life changing. And we want to be part of the movement that you have started with Moms for America. Tell us what’s coming up this season, how everyone can get involved and what’s on the horizon.
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Well, we’re pretty excited because this is 2026, which means it’s the 250th birthday of the United States of America. So if you go to us250tour.com, us250tour.com, you can see all the places where we’re going to be. Moms for America has partnered with my friend Tony Griffith and GFM Productions to go to all 50 states in 2026 and bring the celebration to you. And then as part of that, we are doing our Remember the Ladies Luncheons. We just had one in Washington, D.C., where we have just announced our Abbey Awards in honor of the bold spirit of Abigail Adams. And we presented five Abbey Awards in Washington, D.C. last week, which is pretty awesome. to some really great ladies and just come to our website and see what we have going on. But I’ll tell you the most important thing, ladies, that you can do is go out and vote your values in this election because things are finally going in the right direction. We finally have support. from leaders and our government. And we want to make sure we keep going in the same direction where our children are protected, our freedoms are secured, and liberty continues to prosper. And we are able to live our faith out to our full capacity. And so go and vote. If you’re not registered, get registered and go vote your values, please. And you can come to Moms for America and see mom vote to figure out who these people are that are running and who should earn your vote.
CHRYSANDRA :
Yes, we love it. And Kimberly, where can everyone find you and Moms for America online and social media?
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
Yeah, we’re on all social media channels at Moms for America. And you can find me on X at real Kimberly, real Kim Fletcher, I think it is. CHRYSANDRA :
Well, Kimberly, we love and appreciate you so much. We do have to give a huge shout out to our dear mutual friend, Dr. Jerry Pattengale. And will you just share a quick highlight about him, Kimberly, of how he was able to connect us?
KIMBERLY FLETCHER :
So I just happened to meet him at a Golden Age event in Washington, D.C., And as we were talking and I was sharing some of the things that we’re doing, he said, there’s a lady I need to connect you with. I think you guys share the same spirit. And so that’s when he said, you need to you need to connect with her. And then I did. And magic. It’s like I love how the Lord works.
CHRYSANDRA :
Well, yes. Thank you so much to you, Dr. Jerry Pattengale, and to you, Kimberly Fletcher, for saying yes to your God-given dreams. Challenge everyone. Go follow Kimberly right now. Go to momsforamerica.us, and you will be able to see this movement that is happening around the country. This tour is phenomenal, and there’s so much in store that we get to be part of this Esther movement together. Till next time, dreamers, keep dreaming big.
