Unveiling the dual nature of this spiritual transformation, he explains how believers journey through both a progressive and a legal sanctification. Discover how believers are both declared righteous through Jesus’ sacrifice and are called to grow each day towards becoming more like him. Rabbi Schneider provides not just theological insights but practical advice on how to keep our devotion focused and lives purified.

Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah. The word sanctification is a really important word. Sanctification involves being made clean and it involves being set apart unto the Lord. Father, I ask you to sanctify us, to cleanse us, Lord, and to make us fully yours, that all our devotion would be upon you. Now the Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 10, these words, by this we all have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. There is an experiential progressive sanctification that takes place as we’re growing in grace and being transformed day by day, meaning as time goes on, We’re becoming more and more conformed to the image of God’s Son. We become more and more like Jesus. That is sanctification experientially, and it grows as we’re being transformed. And then there’s a legal sanctification that has taken place once and for all and forever for those that belong to Jesus, that His sanctification, His perfection is legally imputed to us, that Jesus, that knew no sin, became sin on our behalf that we could become the righteous of God. You are sanctified in Christ legally, but every day we have to focus, beloved, on growing in grace, becoming more and more like Jesus, more and more pure and cleansed because the Bible says that those that are pure will see God. Let’s apply this to our life and strive to overcome every day to become like Jesus.
