Part gas, part electricity. Who knows where it’s going to go?

So, yes, this is the Kim Monson show. Hey, so I have never done video like this except one other time, I think, with you at the – You came to the National Western and we did it. The National Western. Correct. Otherwise, I said to my media guy, I said, gosh, all of these other radio hosts are doing TV or doing video. And he said, Kim, think about this. He said, this is a 6 a.m. show. They have makeup people. They have hair people. And I said, you’re right. I’ll just stay with audio.
SPEAKER 25 :
I don’t have either. But, you know, actually, this is a worthy discussion because I’ve gravitated into this broadcast on Beck News, by the way, for your radio audience. And it’s B.E.K. News. And anybody can join in every day except for that hour that we overlap because there’s one hour that I’m on, you’re on. And I started in radio, as you know, last week. We talked about it 25 years ago. And I’ve evolved into more TV slash video radio. And it’s kind of like the way of the world. But to get away from AM radio that educates people that you don’t have to worry about the video, you don’t have to worry about Josh, all these other things, it’s actually we can’t let that get away. We cannot. And there’s an assault upon it. There is an assault upon it. And I hope that both of our audiences recognize that while we appreciate the TV broadcast and I love being a part of it, We need to make a concerted effort to make sure that AM560, KLZ, remains on the air because it’s about local. Now, there’s a difference because what I’ve seen in 25 years is this consolidation like in every other sector. But the consolidation is in fewer people owning, fewer entities owning radio stations. And I broadcast somewhere on 100 in 21 states every day with some different format. That’s remarkable. Loose Tails is the first one, Royal Route. They’re all different lengths. I got two big signal stations, 1010, KSIR, Fort Morgan, Colorado. has been there from day one, and also 550 AM out of Bismarck. Those two have been there from day one. Those stations provide information, and I’ll just use KSIR because it’s right here in our listing area. You know, Alec Creighton and his wife, they own that station. They’re invested. They show up in community functions. They do the weather. When there’s an issue, they do the weather. I’m very passionate about that, and it doesn’t matter how many TV broadcasts, how many radio broadcasts, I mean how many videos I do, that cannot leave because communities will suffer greatly.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, and there’s been a real consolidation, though. We’ve seen a lot of the major talk shows and local radio here in Colorado. Some of them disappeared because they brought in national syndicators for those particular shows. But I’ve got a funny story to tell you. As you know, I grew up in western Kansas, and a great station, KLOE, is our radio station. Actually, it wasn’t KLOE.
SPEAKER 25 :
It used to be a great radio station. I’m just kidding.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah. But it was a different local radio, but somebody told me that a new guy, one of the community members was calling a basketball game, but didn’t have the roster. So he said, number 32 just passed to number 52, which just passed too. Absolutely. You know, it’s the funniest stuff that happens on local radio. But the parents knew who their kid was. The grandparents knew that Johnny was 42 years old.
SPEAKER 25 :
By the way, I shouldn’t go without mentioning, you grew up next to one of the powerhouse AM radio stations. KXXX out of Colby has been that powerhouse for a long time. And I believe it’s at 790 on the dial.
SPEAKER 16 :
Don’t remember, but I remember the call letters on that. So we’ve got a little thing that I realize we just need to work out. And that is, we’ve got a caller. We’ve got, as you know, Colorado is, it’s crazyville. I’m going to say it’s crazy chaosville. out here in colorado so you’re you’re now going to do something that i didn’t anticipate that causes an issue well my audience is not going to hear the caller that’s the problem and so what i think we’re going to do is we’re going to have our caller hang through on the break well so we’ll talk a little bit more and then when we come back from the break we’re going to let joe come in and work just a little bit of magic so that we can get that audio joe is working magic isn’t he

I mean, not only does he keep all the production things going, Josh is feeling left out. My Josh is feeling left out at the moment. But, you know, oh, wait, you delivered the coffee. Joe didn’t bring the coffee. I delivered the coffee.

Sorry, Joe. When you bring coffee, we’ll let you know. Because he was busy trying to make everything work. Now, something that I do every Friday is the Center for American Values located in Pueblo, I normally highlight a quote from a Medal of Honor recipient. Fantastic. Can I do that?

Absolutely.

Okay, let me make sure.

Who actually brings notes to a broadcast? Look at all of this. We like prepare.
SPEAKER 16 :
We do prepare. So the Center for American Values is located in Pueblo. You’ve not been there yet, have you? No, I have not. You’ve got to do that. It’s co-founded by Drew Dix and Brad Padula. Drew Dix is a Medal of Honor recipient for actions he took during the Vietnam War. And Brad Padula is an award-winning documentary maker. And they realized we need, so Pueblo’s called the home of heroes because there’s four Medal of Honor recipients that grew up there, if you can believe that. I think one World War II, two Korea, and one Vietnam, which that’s pretty remarkable for a little community.
SPEAKER 25 :
Do they have tribal blood? I don’t know. I ask that question because, you know, I mention often we lived on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota for five years. And the patriotism that is displayed and you see it at powwows. Being a Pueblo, I’m betting. I’m betting there’s tribal blood in these guys.
SPEAKER 16 :
They’re very possibly creepy. We’re going to find out. And so the center is located in Pueblo. Check it out. It’s AmericanValueCenter.org. But this is the citation from, well, let’s see. This is Maurice.
SPEAKER 25 :
See, here’s the problem with getting notes. And then when you get to them when you need them, you can’t find the ones you want.
SPEAKER 16 :
So I was so focused trying to figure out everything from 5.30 to 6 across the pond that I dropped all my notes on the ground. And that was a problem. It’s always your fault. So here we go. This is from Michael J. Fitzmaurice, United States Army, born 1950, actions taken 1971. So most of these guys, they were just kids. They were just kids. And this is his citation. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity, an action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, Special Fourth Class Fitzmaurice distinguished himself and three fellow soldiers were occupying a bunker when a company of North Vietnamese zappers infiltrated the area. At the onset of the attack, Fitzmaurice observed three explosive charges which had been thrown into the bunker by the enemy. Realizing the imminent danger to his comrades and with complete disregard for his personal safety, he hurled two of the charges out of the bunker. Think about that.
SPEAKER 25 :
Yeah, we can’t think about that unless you’ve been there and done that. I know. It’s remarkable. It’s just incredible.
SPEAKER 16 :
He then threw his flak vest and himself over the remaining charge. By this courageous act, he absorbed the blast and shielded his fellow soldiers. Although suffering from serious multiple wounds and partial loss of sight, he charged out of the bunker and engaged the enemy until his rifle was damaged by the blast of an enemy hand grenade. While in search of another weapon, Fitzmaurice encountered and overcame an enemy sapper in hand-to-hand combat. Can you believe that? And having obtained another weapon, he returned to his original fighting position and inflicted additional casualties on the attacking enemy. And although seriously wounded, Fitzmaurice refused to be medically evacuated, preferring to remain at his post. And for his extraordinary heroism and action at the risk of his life, contributed significantly to the successful defense of the position and resulted in saving the lives of a number of his fellow soldiers. And the Medal of Honor is awarded to those that took action when the situation presented itself. And in a way, that’s what you and I are doing. I don’t want to compare us to that.
SPEAKER 25 :

But engaging in the battle of ideas.

We are engaging in the battle, and the battle gets a little tougher every day. At least he knew who the enemy was.
SPEAKER 16 :
True that. We did not. We do not. We’re trying to figure it out.

We’re trying to figure it out every day.

Oh, that’s awesome.

Yeah. And from the paying attention, I said, well, he had another engagement, so he’s going to be in studio today.
SPEAKER 25 :
No, that’s not true. I said, Kim, I’m going to be in town on Friday. I could just come to the studio. And you said, yeah, that’d be great, Trent, but I can’t handle you two days a week, so you’ll just come in on Friday and we’ll skip you on Wednesday.
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, now I thought that you had a speaking engagement on Wednesday morning.
SPEAKER 25 :
I did at 1 o’clock. Oh, okay. Thanks for looking out for me.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, most definitely. So do we have this set up yet? We may have to wait. And we’ve got a caller that I wanted to – Colorado’s out of our – it’s crazy here. And we’ve got situations in Colorado where we can actually mutilate children – in this whole transgender thing. And it’s just unbelievable, either pharmaceutically or surgically. And so there is a group that’s come together, and it’s called Protect Kids Colorado, and they’re working on getting three ballot initiatives onto the November ballot. One is to prevent those surgeries on children. Another is regarding if you sex traffic a child, you go to prison. And then thirdly, to keep boys and men out of girls and women’s sports and spaces. And so you talk about local all the time. This is a total grassroots effort. And I had mentioned to Patty, they’ve got a bunch of stuff going on this weekend regarding getting these petitions signed because we’re down to the wire. So I wanted to get her on. I realized we’ve just got still a few little logistics. So she may need to stay on. Bless her heart until the next segment.
SPEAKER 25 :
Well, I want to get that on because, to be honest, if you just stop and think about where we’re at today in society and the allegations of how people have commoditized kids. Whether you want to talk about the Epstein files or not, there’s too much smoke there not to be some serious fire. And it’s not just at the national level. You know, I talked to a guy this week that was a sheriff in a rural county in Minnesota. A Minnesota. A Minnesota. And a rural county sheriff. And this is not tied to Minnesota per se, because right now everything evil is about Minnesota, right? This just happens to be a guy who said, I am not going to sit by and let people abuse kids sexually or physically in my county as county sheriff. It’s a county of 3,000 people.
SPEAKER 16 :
And that should be a given, shouldn’t it? It should be a given in America that people are not going to stand by and let that happen.
SPEAKER 25 :
I agree 100%. And why do we? And that’s really what I want to talk about. Why do people, why isn’t this top priority for everybody to root them out and say, we’re not going to tolerate this anymore. Kids are the most important thing. How do you take a precious kid and do anything to them? He arrested 42 people.
SPEAKER 16 :
In a county of 3,000 people?
SPEAKER 25 :
Convicted them all.
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 25 :
And they did not elect him in the next election because he didn’t care who they were. He didn’t care what their family history was. He said, if I can prove that you’re treating a kid like a commodity… I’m going to arrest you, and we’re going to convict you. And because in a county of 3,000, which is the same size as my county, we’re just short of 3,000, there’s a click. In every county, when you have that size, there’s a click. You’re either in or you’re out. And he didn’t care whether you’re in the clique, you’re out of the clique, you’re a migrant. He didn’t care. If you’re abusing a kid, you’re going to do. That’s the way we should all be. Why is this guy set out as some example of saying, well, how does he do that? And then he gets unelected. So just think about the people are like, I probably have in a given year six sheriffs. who contact me, because there’s 3,100 counties, roughly 3,100 counties in the United States. And the county sheriff is the ultimate authority in every county. And you see movement away from that. Because from a constitutional standpoint, the county sheriff can tell the federal government, no, you can’t come into this county. If you do it, because they’re afraid, but here a guy did what he’s supposed to do as a county sheriff, and he was unelected in the next election because he stepped on too many toes. Kim, I embrace what you’re talking about here and Patty is doing because we all need to focus on what are we doing to our kids. Now, here, that’s what’s going on behind the scenes. We’re blatantly putting boys in girls’ sports. That’s an abuse. We’re blatantly telling these kids, 12-year-old kids, that you think you should have been a boy? Well, you can fix that.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s abuse. You know, I had a really interesting conversation with Alicia Garcia, and she had said that what is really one of the things most precious to our Lord? And it’s our children. 100%. And so this is a good and evil thing, obviously. But if you really want to do something evil, you go after the most precious component of our creation, and that’s our children. I saw a new little baby the other day, and I just looked at him, and I couldn’t believe All of the intricate parts and how it all works. It’s amazing. Probably, you know, when you look at a new baby calf, though, don’t you see something amazing as well?
SPEAKER 25 :
Oh, absolutely. It’s about life. It’s about life. You’re creating life. And that’s what we’re doing. We’re creating life and sustaining life. But look, we sit by and let it happen. We embrace killing nearly 1 million babies a year in the womb through abortion in the United States. 41 million. each year around the world. We don’t cherish and value life.
SPEAKER 16 :
So Colorado, we are, I think, at the tip of the spear of crazyville, of chaos. I don’t think a lot of people realize that we now have it in our constitution because people voted for it, that you can abort a baby up until the time of birth. Now, I don’t think people quite understand what that means because it’s a very violent thing that happens at that particular point in time. And then the idea that we would cut off healthy body parts of our children. In the old days, if a bad guy came in and lined our children up and cut off the breasts and penises of our young people, we would have taken action. But that is what’s happening now. And that’s why this Protect Kids Colorado, we’ve got to get this figured out. I know, Joe. Oh, my gosh. I saw his Superman cape got caught in the door as he was heading out. He’s trying to get this all figured out.
SPEAKER 25 :
He’s Superman, but everything’s on God’s time. She wasn’t supposed to be on yet.

Well, this is true.
SPEAKER 25 :
I love her. Somebody was just tuning in, and they would have missed her, and they need to hear it.

And David Hibner is campaigning from North Platte. He’s campaigning to unseat the incumbent in the 3rd District of the U.S. House. And he decided and announced on my program today that he’s going to adopt a new slogan in his campaign called Don’t Coloradoize my district.
SPEAKER 16 :
That makes me so sad because when I moved to Colorado, I loved the fact that I was going to live here. But we’ve got just big challenges. But speaking of elections, we’ve really got two things going on here. We’ve got to make sure that our elections are free, fair, honest, and transparent. That’s number one. I guess there’s three things. We’ve got to have candidates that are going to actually, understand and conserve and preserve the American idea that all men are created equal, rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. But then also we’ve got to engage in this battle of ideas. I’m carrying a petition. I need to get 40 signatures. for my part, to do my part to get this question on the ballot. And I’ve been busy with other things. We’re now down to it’s the day before the exam, and I’ve got to get my petitions done. So I’m working on that. But I was really a little bit shocked. I reached out to a probably young millennial woman, pretty influential in her community. And I said, Hey, You know, how about I bring this over, maybe we can get some of your friends together and get this signed. And she said, I really like to stay out of politics. And when I talked to Patty about it, who we’ll hopefully have on on this next segment, she said, Kim, people need to understand this is not about politics. This is protecting children.
SPEAKER 25 :
It is going to be about politics if you don’t engage.
SPEAKER 16 :
You know what the definition of politics is?
SPEAKER 25 :
Yeah. Poly, mini, ticks, blood-sucking insects.
SPEAKER 16 :
You got it for sure. But this battle here in Colorado, in some ways, Trent, I have to admit, I hadn’t ever really thought about I just might leave Colorado. But this last week, I’ve been struggling.
SPEAKER 25 :
I got a story about that. We’re going to go to a break, I think.

Because my story is good, and it plays into that.

Yeah. The dog ate your homework?

No, that dog never eats my homework because I don’t do homework. I got a great Colorado story.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 25 :
So if you’ll remember, you may not know this, but you knew about COVID. Yes, I did. You were aware of 2020, 2021. Very much so. So during that period of time, the city of Denver and the leaders of the time were And I don’t remember who they were. And it doesn’t matter for the story.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 25 :
Decided to cancel the National Western.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right. I remember that.
SPEAKER 25 :
And what happened as a result is a friend of mine, Tyler Norvell from Oklahoma, said, this is ridiculous. We can’t cancel a cattle show for COVID. And he started a brand new show, and it’s still going on today, called Cattlemen’s Congress, I think. It doesn’t matter what it’s called. But many of the cattlemen decided, well… I probably can’t say. No, I know I can’t say what many of the cattlemen said about Denver and its thumbing and snows at the National Western and that people moved to Oklahoma City and they just went to Oklahoma City and they’re like, I’m never going to Denver again. National Western has lost its place. And it wasn’t the National Western per se. It was Denver telling people at the National Western what you can’t do, which is what we experienced during COVID. And so there was a lot of people went to Oklahoma City. It was a fantastic event. I didn’t go, but I did help promote it. And I was one of those that said, you know, we’ve been fighting. I’ve loved the National Western. It’s been here since 1906. But if they can’t remain committed to the people who made the National Western, we just might as well. It runs course. And a friend of mine, Gene Dubas, who’s been an exhibitor of equipment, cattle shoots at the National Western for like 200 years. Sorry, Gene. He called me and he said, Trent, we’re looking at this all wrong. He said, the National Western has been there for all of us. And we’ve been participating in it and we’ve been out there. And right now, The people in Colorado need us to show up. And he wasn’t talking about, I’m sorry, he wasn’t talking about the people that live in Denver. But he was talking about the people who take care of the resources of Colorado. And I’ll never forget this conversation. And Gene said, I’m not going to boycott ever the National Western because for all these years they provided an outlet for us. We need to show up for them. Totally changed my thinking. I shared that with a whole bunch of people. And it changed the course of the National Western. Because the city of Denver re-evaluated. New leadership comes in everywhere. We’ve got a new leader. Wes Allison’s the new CEO of the National Western this year. But Paul Andrews was the one who brought us through that period of time. And I don’t know that I’m supposed to say, nor do I actually know what the investment is. And the people of Denver voted. The sales tax. The sales tax to build a new set of facilities. Maybe it was property. I can’t remember. I think it was a bond. It was a bond. I think it was a bond. To fund this particular new set of facilities. And people are showing up. There’s brand new facilities. They’re unlike anything else. And my long story could be a lot longer, but I’m going to shorten it. You made me think about it because you said maybe I need to leave. Gene Dubas teaches us all we don’t run from the fire. We put the fire out and help rebuild what the fire destroyed. He’s right. And Colorado provides so many resources to people. that we need to continue to utilize those resources in an effective way and make it happen. And you think about what those three guys, three guys had an idea in 1906 that we need to have a place to bring our horses and our cattle and compete and find a way to be better. And it’s from day one. It actually is the same conversation that we were talking about with the new life because everything about the National Western, and this is any stock show and how its nuances take shape by the leadership, it’s about celebrating life because everything that we do is take care of those God-given resources to enable new life. Mm-hmm. So we can’t say, Colorado’s toast. I’m not leaving. We have to throw down stakes and say, stakes was an accidental perfect pun when the cattle show. We have to throw down stakes and say, we’re going to make it right.
SPEAKER 16 :
So, Trent, you mentioned life, and we have these big questions right now that we’re asking, and that is life or death, order or chaos, creation, destruction. And those are really what we’re seeing play out in our country right now. We mentioned Minnesota, Minneapolis, but I’ve got a headline here that our AG office here in Colorado has launched an online site for Coloradans to report concerns on ICE agents. And so we’re seeing this destruction. In fact, I think I saw an early morning headline that things are getting really tough in Minneapolis. I had some colleagues that went into Minnesota, flew into Minnesota yesterday into Minneapolis. They had thought about that they might stay downtown, watch a game, whatever. And I’m like, at least I get the heck out of there to get to their destination. And so this destruction is not only what’s happening there, but also the intangible of people saying, I’m not going to go spend any money there. I’m getting out of there. And so we have this big question of destruction versus creation. And there are those that are trying to just really, really get us into a really tough spot. Yeah.
SPEAKER 25 :
So my history in this regard is the guy that’s really unhappy that I showed up, just showed up. I showed up without sausage.
SPEAKER 16 :
We’re going to have, oh, Steve Eblings here, producer Steve.
SPEAKER 25 :
He won’t know.
SPEAKER 16 :
He’ll never know.
SPEAKER 25 :
He’s not going to let you live that down. So I’m going to fix it. Remember that little story I just gave about being part of the solution? I’m going to fix it. I’ve got a personal experience that is hitting me really hard right now, and that is January of 2016, I went to Burns, Oregon. Actually, I was called and asked to come to Burns, Oregon, because two fellow ranchers, Dwight and Stephen Hammond, Due to Obama, policies had been put in prison for five years. Unnecessarily. I can get into that, but that’s not my real story. Burns, Oregon is a very small community. It’s very driven by federal property issues. through timber and grazing the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is there the federal government flooded a whole bunch of ranches to create this natural wildlife refuge it chased ranchers out of business and Dwight and Stephen Hammond were throwing down the gauntlet and saying we’re not going to succumb to this On January 2nd, 2016, they sent them to Terminal Island, a federal prison off the coast of California. And I was asked to come and host, to be the emcee for a community function where 400 people came. And part of what precipitated that was that Ammon Bundy LaVoy Finicum, Ryan Bundy, and a group of about 12 people occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. And they said, we’re going to stay here until Hammonds are released. So that caused division, that caused federal agents to show up, that caused people to put up roadblocks. They called and they said, we want to be very transparent about this. So people in the county put together a safety committee, the Harney County Community of Safety, and asked me to emcee this event. And I go to Burns, Oregon, and I’m talking to people in the town. They’re scared to death. Not of Ammon Bundy, LaVoy Finicum, and the people who had taken a stand there. And we’re going to stay and occupy the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge until the Hammonds are released. But the federal government had come in and completely changed the dynamics and the feel of that town. And people were scared of the federal agents. who theoretically were there doing their job upholding the law, but in fact they were intimidating. And I interviewed people, I interviewed an 80-year-old lady who every day when she would drive from her house, they would stop her, frisk her, and search her car and do all of these things to an innocent person that they had no reason to do. So I have that in the back of my mind as I hear everything that’s happening with ICE. We all want the Constitution to be first and foremost. And that Constitution says there’s a legal way to come into this country. But when you start attacking people who are legal citizens here and your excuses were coming to get the illegals, you’re right on that line of becoming a police state instead of a free nation.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, but there is a but on this, and that is how do we respond to all of these years of illegal immigration when we see that the everyday hardworking American people have been fleeced by these NGOs and these government programs by our government? What do we do about that? And so, yes, we are in a very difficult situation. But from a Constitution standpoint, we are supposed to have order. We’re supposed to be able to protect.
SPEAKER 25 :
So are the agents bringing about order or creating chaos?
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, so for example, the agent that was involved in the shooting.
SPEAKER 25 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 16 :
My understanding is that six months ago, he was dragged 100 yards on a car as they were trying to arrest an illegal immigrant that had assaulted a child. So it’s messy. I don’t disagree with this. It’s messy, but I think it’s messy by design, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 25 :
I agree 100%. It’s by design.
SPEAKER 16 :
So let’s keep that out there. This is Kim Monson. Trent Luce is in studio. We’re doing something totally new. We’re simulcasting his television show while we’re doing the radio. Well, we’re having to do something interesting, and that is, we talked about technology, right? Yeah, absolutely. Well, we’ve got her on my cell phone on speaker up here by these microphones. Trent, I used to bake pies with lard, and now the lard that I get doesn’t help me bake pies anymore, so I want your lard.

What’s the difference?
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, I think GMO has ruined lard, but that’s just my story.
SPEAKER 25 :
Actually, what I think it is, is that you’re getting lard from the commercial pork sector. And we have made these pigs so lean that we just don’t generate the same amount of lard. We actually focus on intramuscular fat. We focus on the pork quality. And I think that’s why our lard, unless it’s a part of the rendering process and they’re rendering different, but you just boil it. So, I mean, I don’t know where that would be different. But our lard is fantastic, I’m just saying.
SPEAKER 16 :
So maybe, Patty, if he remembers next time to bring some lard for me, he’ll bring some for you as well. Okay. But let’s get into this.

That would have solved everything. That didn’t cross my mind, but next time, Patty. But let’s get over here to something serious, and that is… Wait a minute.
SPEAKER 25 :
Lard is serious business. It is the second most high available vitamin D of any food substance on the planet. You show me somebody in the 20s and 30s that went to school eating lard sandwiches, and I’ll show you somebody that lived a healthy life until they were 100. That’s serious.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, let’s get over to something else serious, and that is, as we had talked earlier, Patty, Protect Kids Colorado, this is really important. And I am the kid that is doing my studies for my test the night before, but I’m getting all my signatures back. locked in here. So I’m going to get my petition done. I will do it no matter what, because it’s that important. But talk to us a little bit about it. If people don’t know what’s happening with Protect Kids Colorado, we’ve got maybe about five minutes max.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. Well, I’ve got my stuff bulleted out, so I think I can get through it. Well, you had Kevin Lundberg on Tuesday while you had a guest host, Kim, and I’m sure he announced that we told the Secretary of State that we’re at the 75% mark for signatures. The three ballot initiatives we’re trying to pass are to punish… sex traffickers of children they can get out on eight years get on probation after eight years today we want to make that a felony one life in prison we are looking at protecting girls in sports and spaces so biological males cannot play in their sports or enter their spaces we are also looking at prohibiting irreversible sex change surgery for minors which is basically sterilization And our legislature in Colorado passed a bill in 2019 that allowed 12-year-olds to direct their mental health care. Transgender surgery falls under that category. And they doubled down last year and passed a bill that said the insurance companies could not deny the claim to pay for those surgeries. So who falls back on it if the parents say no with their insurance companies but us taxpayers? So we’ll be paying for it. So these are the three things we’re trying to change. We have to reach 125,000 signatures that the Secretary of State will validate in early February. And so we’re actually trying to get 150 to 200,000 to make sure they don’t, you know, when they toss out a certain percentage, we’ll still be at the minimum threshold. So we have until around the first week of February to collect these signatures and make sure that they’re logged and registered and clean and that we can know that we’re going to submit 125,000 valid signatures. We’ve got 1,000 people out that are volunteers, and volunteers are like Kim, right? They’re all at the last minute trying to get their petition signed. So we don’t really know, but we think we have over 100,000 in the bank right now. I was up at the Capitol yesterday, kind of poking the bear a little bit, looking to see if we could collect signatures. Most of the staffers just gave us dirty looks and told us they don’t sign petitions. But I encountered Phil Weiser, our attorney general and the governor candidate. And I asked him if he had signed the petitions yet. And he said, you’ll have to ask my staff. They have to tell me if it’s okay to sign. So I thought that was pretty interesting. I’ll be calling his staff today.
SPEAKER 25 :
Therein lies the problem, Patty. Yeah, right. They have to rely on staff instead of having a functioning brain on their own. And I don’t know him. I’m just saying you can take a stand and say, no, I don’t want to, or yes, let me sign that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Exactly. But most of the staffers were saying, I’m not allowed to. I’m like, are you not a US citizen? Do you not vote in Colorado? But you can’t get snarky with them. So, you know, I was just trying to be kind. I encountered a pediatrician who rode his bike up to the Capitol and we had a long conversation and he basically just said, well, I think children need to find their own way. And I just said, who told them they weren’t good enough how they are? So anyway, the thing that I wanted to announce, and I can stop and answer a question or whatever, but we have an event today, and I did want to announce it.
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, so please do that, and let’s make sure that that happens.

Okay, good. Okay, so Catholic Vote is a partner to us. I am working on getting every Catholic parish in the state of Colorado to hold a signature event. And Trent, we’ve got Brush and Akron coming up this weekend. We’ll have Fort Morgan and Sterling, I think, next weekend. So we’ve got some rural parishes that are gonna be holding signature events this weekend. And people can go to protectkidscolorado.org and look at our events page and we’ll post those. And today, though, at the Catholic Vote offices in Greenwood Village, 6160 South Syracuse Way, we’ll be there from 1 to 4 p.m. We’ll allow people to turn in their petitions. So Kim, you can come on over when you get those 40 signatures today and you can get them notarized or you can pick up more petitions at the office in Greenwood Village. We’ll be in the atrium. Kelsey Reinhart, the CEO of Catholic Vote, will be there between two and three. And I just wanted to make sure that people knew especially because this rebroadcast rebroadcast at 1pm on klz that they can come down to greenwood village 6160 south syracuse way in the atrium we’ll be there with petitions and materials and notaries and we’ve got to we’ve got to get this final push so thanks for having me on this morning, Kim.

Okay. Well, you announced it just last week that you are running for Colorado Senate. And the legislature just convened on Wednesday. So bring us up to speed with over the last week, what’s on your radar and what people should know.
SPEAKER 23 :
We’re still waiting for some measures that we’ve been hearing are going to be introduced to be introduced a little bit later. I hope they don’t. I really hope that they back off from the measures that the rumors are going around about. But they did introduce an expansion to red flag laws. That’s SB26-004. They introduced that on the first day of the legislature by our good old buddy Tom Sullivan, which… Hope to have him out of office here soon. We do have someone actually running against him and we need support. But that’s the one that’s most on my radar right now is the expansion of red flag laws.
SPEAKER 16 :
Boy, Teddy, I read that the legislation the last time on that red flag law and we had Republicans that were in favor of it. Then after it was passed, they kind of walked it back. But I recall when I was doing the research on it, Teddy, is that there had been either Republicans I think it was a deputy in one of the metro communities here that said that – I guess they were presenting on it, and somebody said, aren’t you concerned about the safety of peace officers if they go to someone’s house to confiscate their firearms? Aren’t you concerned about their safety? And he said, well, we’d really prefer to go – and do that when they’re not there. So what that law, at least the way I remember it, Teddy, was that somebody might not even know that this allegation has been made towards them, and a judge basically says,
SPEAKER 23 :
can say yes you can go correct confiscate these uh these firearms and a person could come home and they wouldn’t even know they’d even been accused of anything right absolutely there’s several problems with red flag laws and you’ve addressed one of them there you have the right to feature face your accuser in the united states and this is not that but the main thing is you also have the right to due process taking away someone’s rights and then making them have to prove they’re innocent to receive them back that’s a violation of the constitution it’s a violation of our liberty
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, absolutely. And so this red flag law, I mean, we’re going to have to take a look at that. I’ll get on that as well. Tell us just very quickly about your campaign.
SPEAKER 23 :
So I’m running for Senate District 4, Mark Baisley’s former district. He’s actually endorsed me in this race, and I have some big shoes to fill because Mark is one of the best-rated Liberty scorer out there. So I definitely have some big shoes to fill. I’m humbled and honored to have his endorsement, and I look forward to proving to my constituents and those who are voters out there in my district that I can do this job, earn their vote, and go up to the Capitol to fight for them and to fight for their liberty.

Well, good to have you as well, and Happy New Year. I can’t believe that we are in 2026, and we are barreling towards our 250th birthday of the United States. And a lot of stuff was happening in 1776 at this time, and there’s a lot happening in America today in 2026.
SPEAKER 06 :
It was incredible what the founders of our nation did today. and how foresightful, if that’s a word, they were when they forged our documents, the Declaration and the Constitution. Truly amazing philosophers.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, and I think that that is a good segue into the piece that you had published recently at American Thinker regarding two philosophies for success in America. And the two philosophies are really, I would say, the American idea and then the progressive era, which has been over the last decade. 100 plus years. And the two things don’t really match. And we are now, I think, at an inflection point on this, Jay Davidson.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it sure seems like it. The federal debt is at a crushing level. And by the way, every person listening to me is going to help pay that debt back. And your children and your grandchildren are going to pay it back. So it’s not a freebie. They put us into debt. We citizens into debt. And we have to pay it back. And that detracts, that debt service detracts from your income and your earnings and your business’s earnings. So it is a major infraction. I think it’s absolutely unconstitutional. And then you add in the incredible taxes that they charge us already when you add taxes and fees together. The federal, state, and local municipal governments take over 51% of our income. This is on average, according to Dr. Brian Westbury, chief economist with First Trust. So we’re working half the year for the government, for all the various governments out there. So something has to give, and I think that the answer… is that our government has to give way. What we have today is not what was intended in our declaration and our constitution. And we need to fight the fight as you were doing.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, and Jay Davidson, you referenced in your piece an article by Jeffrey Tucker from the Epoch Times. And he said something that I thought was interesting about that Americans have been pretty amenable to… government programs and this safety net kind of under the idea that, gosh, I might need a safety net at some point in time and that we are all homogenous generally from a society standpoint. But what we’re seeing now with the fraud in Minnesota is all of a sudden, I think everyday people are connecting the dot and they’re saying, wait a minute, what you just mentioned, I’m working over half the year to pay money to the government and that money is not being there’s not good stewards of that that money like i joke you public thought they were and seeing all this fraud from people that are not really here it looks like for the american idea I think this is a moment in time where I think people are really questioning the proper role of government, which I think that this means we have a real opportunity to have a conversation, to start to work to get this whole thing turned around, Jay.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I would agree. You said quite a bit in what you said there. There was a lot in that. Do government programs work well? I don’t see them working. What about the war on drugs? Did we stop drug infestation? I don’t think so. What about the war on poverty? Did we stop poverty? No. What about all these other wars that our government is putting together? And I’m not knocking Democrats or Republicans. I’m knocking both parties when either one espouses more government involvement in our lives. More taxation, more regulation, more fees, etc. That’s my problem. I don’t care what political persuasion you are. In fact, I would welcome anybody of a more moderate nature that would stand against the encroachment of the federal government into our lives. And anybody that owns a business that is highly regulated knows exactly what I’m talking about. And if you’re high enough up to scale in the business you work in and you’re regulated, you get an inkling of what is happening to businesses, how difficult it is for us to thrive and prosper. And the issue is really relatively straightforward, as we talked about in my article and Jeff Tucker also talked about.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, it is. And while you’re talking about this, Jay, I was thinking about this headline that I’ve read about California and this billionaire tax. And California is facing probably close to a trillion dollars in lost assets. revenue, it sounds like, with these billionaires saying, wait a minute, I don’t think I’m up for that, even though these billionaires many times have been paying for left-wing activist causes. When it comes down to your own personal money, people like to protect their own personal money, and so a lot of these billionaires are moving out because they don’t want to pay for this welfare state that California’s created.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, that’s exactly right. And so Newsom’s whole idea is, I guess I’ll tax the remaining billionaires more, and they’re just too stupid to figure out what I’m doing to them, and they’ll stick around and pay the tax. So that’s been the mantra for the progressive left, the far left, for, like you said, over 100 years. And I think it’s run its course. I think people are starting to wake up to the facts of life that government isn’t the solution. to our problems. Or as Reagan said, government is the problem. They’re not the solution.
SPEAKER 16 :
So what do you, well, and one other thing you mentioned in your piece is, and I’ve, Brad Beck, one of our frequent guests, had challenged me regarding the word altruistic, where that word has been used to indicate taking care of others, and I looked the definition up, and taking care of others kind of before taking care of yourself. And if you don’t take care of yourself first, you really can’t take care of others. But that word altruistic has also been used to push taxation, where people have a program out there that they say is a good program. We all kind of go, okay, that sounds good. Like that, you know, that’s something that we’d like to do is to help children. But the thing with the way altruism is being used now is it has force around it because taxation comes down to force. And so, as you said in your piece, if they were so altruistic, they would use their own money, not mine. And I think that’s a really important point, Jay Davidson.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, very true. The whole… religion of the left has been this Whole thing about altruism. I’m helping my fellow man. I’m helping the individual, the single mother with children who’s on the street. And you know what? I feel the pain. In fact, I’ll contribute to that person myself. I’m happy to do it. You are, too. But what we both object to is that they expand and take their vision of altruism and force it on the rest of us. to the tune of taking half of our earnings every year. And that is exorbitant. And I submit to you that the programs that these leftists have thrown in place don’t work. They’re not helping. In fact, they’re creating a dependent society, dependent on welfare. These poor ladies are incentivized to have more children because they get paid more money. That’s insane. And yet that’s our government’s response to single mothers who don’t have viable means of supporting themselves. Well, why not take the alternate approach, which is let’s build up the individual. Let’s let the individual keep more of what he and she earns. Let’s realize what it means in the Declaration of Independence that all people have the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the ownership of property. That means something extremely important. And I think that is the foundation of our nation. That is the keystone of how our nation was built. The fact that you as an individual have a divine right to life, liberty and ownership of property. so i think that people are starting to wake up i pray they are of i don’t care if you’re independent or a libertarian democrat republican boomer millennial gen xyz doesn’t matter we’re all in this thing together and i think the problem that we’re facing is internal i think it’s our own government which is exactly why the founding fathers in their brilliance created the Constitution, and they created the Constitution, the rule of law of the land, specifically to prevent the government from getting as big as it has gotten and taking so much of our earnings away from us on a whim. So this is the brilliance of our founding fathers.
SPEAKER 16 :
It really is the brilliance of the founding fathers. And you and I talk a lot about federal government. But as I’ve been going down this journey with you, Jay, on these monthly calls, is I realize that it’s also happening at the local and the county and the state level. And here in Colorado, we have TABOR, Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights, that says that these PBIs, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties have to ask us, If they’re going to grow government, basically, there’s three things in there. And we are saying yes at the ballot box. And we have got to change that at the local, the county, and the state level and realize that we are putting, we have this federal debt, but we’re putting a lot of additional local, county, and state debt on top of that. And we’ve got to become responsible and say no to this, Jay. Okay.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, exactly right. We need to think about what we’re doing here. I can’t believe that Denver passed two more tax bills last election cycle. They’re bankrupt. The city is bankrupt. The city is incapable of handling the multibillions of dollars they already take in through taxes. And they’re asking for more. Why don’t the citizens of Denver pay? step up and tell the mayor and his city council to knock it off. Stop spending our money the way you’re doing it and start letting business build itself up. If you look at capitalism, as much as the left hates capitalism, it is the perfect economic system. And in fact, I would say that that economic system, capitalism, sprung from our constitution and our declaration from the founding of our nation because the founding of our nation was built around the sanctity of the individual the right of the individual to make a decision to keep what he or she earns to be unfettered by the government or federal or local actions and that is the definition of fair trade which is the bottom line for capitalism Fair trade is a willing buyer, a willing seller doing a transaction without outside coercion. That’s the very definition of capitalism. And more people have been raised out of poverty by capitalism than any government program in the history of the world. That is a fact. And that requires that individual businesses and individuals be allowed without interference by the government to create their own businesses. And the market is self-limiting. I mean, if I overcharge for a product, I won’t sell it. or if I provide a shoddy service, I won’t get customers in the door. The market will self-moderate. It doesn’t need some regulators stepping on our heads, telling us how to run our businesses. Because, first off, we have the right to ownership of property, as stated in the Declaration of Independence.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, and then taxation is a way of taking property, taking our hard-earned dollars. We’re going to continue the discussion with Jay Davidson, and we have these important discussions because we have great sponsors.

And I do thank you for our long term relationship as well as we are continuing to search for truth and clarity and looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. And so that’s a great segue into capitalism. Capitalism is all about free exchange of goods and services. I think that many kids have been taught that capitalism is bad when, in essence, the definition is wrong. Cronyism is bad. That’s where you have all kinds of force and special interests involved in government and big businesses working together. Cronyism is not good. And I no longer use the word crony capitalism because I’ve felt that that has really been detrimental to the word capitalism. So let’s talk more about capitalism. And you said something interesting that it was really something that was an effect, if you will, of the American founding. And our founders probably didn’t even realize that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, you mean the outcome of individual freedom, which is the basis of our nation. It’s what was created by our founders the first time in the history of the world that the individual was recognized as being free. In the past, there was always a monarch or there was some intermediary between the creator and the individual. And now, with the advent of the Constitution and the Declaration, our nation recognizes the sanctity of the individual, the right to life, liberty and ownership of property. And when you recognize that, then the outgrowth of that freedom, the ability that you have to make a decision and the ability that you have to keep what you earn allows you to say, I want to buy that or I don’t want to buy it. And then the seller of that other product can say, I want to sell it, or I don’t want to sell it. They can do that. But today, there’s so much interference, like the cake guy that I think you’ve been helping out. Didn’t want to bake a cake for a certain demographic. You know, he got taken to the Supreme Court. The guy’s life is ruined because he made a decision. You can agree or disagree, but the fact is that he certainly had the right to make a personal decision on what he did or didn’t do. And, of course, these other people decided to sue him for it and made his life a living hell. Well, that’s not capitalism, and that’s not freedom. That’s the tyranny of the system against one individual. And you can disagree with this guy what he thinks. I get that. And I don’t share his views all that much. But you know what? He has every right to do that, to not sell to that group. And that is the foundation of American freedom. Well, he didn’t get it. I mean, the Supreme Court had to get involved in this whole thing. I mean, this is just why. because it’s so simple and so straightforward that our Constitution and our Declaration say that you as an individual have every right to make the decisions that you want. You don’t have to sell to somebody that you don’t want to do. You don’t have to create a product that they want you to create. And I submit to you that the individuals who initiated this lawsuit had this thing planned out. They knew that this guy was religious. He was a Christian, be that as it may. But and they knew that he would refuse. And so they he was the test case for them. So, you know, they’re not innocent either in this whole thing. They’re not the aggrieved party either. Well, anyway, I wonder.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, I thought a lot about that, and we have talked about it. I wouldn’t say that I directly helped him with anything, but we certainly have talked about this. And I really have always thought that the free market could have answered the question instead of the Colorado Civil Rights Board or whatever it was doing this. that if in fact this gay couple wanted to have a cake baked to celebrate their relationship, and he said that, oh, that’s not something that I do. You can certainly buy any cake that you want, but that’s just not something that I will do is to affirm this same-sex marriage because that’s against my beliefs. And as you say, this couple took him to court. I guess they went to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission is what it was. But I feel the free market could have answered that. If so many people didn’t like his decision and didn’t go there to buy their cakes and cookies, they could have that freedom to vote that way. Or if there is a demand for cakes to celebrate same-sex unions, then somebody else, there would be that demand for it, and another person could create that business. And I’ve always thought that the free market could answer these questions instead of having to go to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and then all the way up to the Supreme Court. So I really think we can solve these problems with the free market.
SPEAKER 06 :
I agree with you totally. And if you don’t like what the guy was doing, don’t buy his products. I do that. If I don’t like what their politics are, I probably won’t support them. So that’s my decision. I get to make that decision. What bothers me is that the other ones say that they want to make that decision for me. And that is wrong. And you started by talking about cronyism. And I thought your distinction between capitalism and cronyism was very good. You know, I complain about welfare and the taxes that go to supporting welfare. But the Republicans are no better. The big government Republicans are just as bad as the big government Democrats. Because the big government Republicans use corporatism as their vehicle to channel federal dollars online. through the corporations. I disagree with both of these actions. And cronyism and corporatism are very similar. Creating an unfair advantage for a corporation based on laws, rules, and regulations is not appropriate. Or incentivizing a certain industry like electric vehicle industry or the anti-fossil fuel industry by government payments is not appropriate. So both sides are guilty of using government resources for their own benefit. And that’s not the intent of government resources. In fact, I submit to you that the government shouldn’t have all the resources that it has right now. It has way too much of our money.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right, and when you say government resources, what that is, is that’s our money. That’s money that we have worked for, and of course then they’re also borrowing from our next generation, which is really immoral, because they don’t have any voice at all about this debt that’s being taken on, but yet presenting them with a big IOU at birth is not, I don’t think, a very moral thing to do. But we’ve got about… Maybe four minutes or so. I think that we have an opportunity, Jay, to get this turned around, because the veil is coming off on this government fraud, this non-governmental organizations and that fraud, and people are saying, wait a minute, that’s money that is taken from… everyday Americans, and so I’m really excited about the opportunity. I know the debt is so, so high, but Jay, when they’re talking about close to a trillion dollars, I think in, maybe it’s not that much in Minnesota, but a trillion dollars goes a long way when we have 38 trillion dollars in debt. When you start to address that, we could start to make a real difference, I think.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, that was the beauty of Doge, and I loved that they started it, and I hope they’re still going on, even though Elon Musk is gone. The USAID debacle was another example of throwing open the Komodo and showing where all this money is wasted. And then, you know, the Somalis in Minnesota using the child care system to benefit to the tune of multibillions, if not trillions of dollars. The fraud is just mind boggling. And I pray to the almighty that the Department of Justice will follow through and prosecute those people and throw away the key. Because this is happening throughout America. You know, we were spending all this money. They’re taking 50 percent of our income to do what? To fund Somalis who are cheating our system. I mean, give me a break, people. I’m just flabbergasted by this whole thing.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, I think that I think the American people are waking up on this. And I think we’re at a time. I think we’re our third founding of our country to determine whether or not we will be to the piece that you’ve written is so important. The tale of these two Americas and these two different philosophies for success. And I think I’m excited about 2026. We’ve got a lot of work to do. What’s your final thought on all this, Jay Davidson?

Well, I do believe in the American citizen. I do believe in the individual. And I do believe that every one of us can come together of our own free will without coercion and discuss these issues like you say in your program all the time and start to have an impact on the government. And it’s up to us. I talked about people that take responsibility and people that don’t. Well, those of us who are into capitalism, free markets, individual freedom, we take responsibility. If we make a decision and it’s wrong, we pay the piper. I don’t ask anybody else to pay for my mistakes. Neither do you. Any of you people listening here. So we do have. a divine right to the free choice that exists. And we have a responsibility to it. And I do believe in the American citizen. And I do believe that we want to do what’s right. And that shows like yours, Kim, are helping to enlighten people to what the actions need to be.

Indeed, it is Friday. Welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Thank you. It’s been a wild morning, hour number one. We did a simulcast with Trent Luce, who is a sixth-generation rancher from Nebraska, for his television show. And we got that pulled off. And we wanted to talk with Protect Kids Colorado. So we did finally get it figured out how to have Patty McKernan on. So that was wild. Always learn so much from Jay Davidson. But wanted to make sure to mention the USMC Memorial Foundation and the great work that they are doing to remember and honor those that have been willing to give their lives or given their lives for our freedom. As we are looking at these headlines that is occurring in our country right now, we We have been in an ideological battle. We talk about it all the time. I’m very concerned that there are those that are trying to get us to a hot battle, which is what we’re seeing in Minneapolis. And I realize the mainstream media is sending out certain messages regarding events that are happening up there. But on the other hand… Looking, you know, sitting back, big picture. And that is, first of all, Minneapolis is apparently there has been, you know, billions if not billions of dollars that have been bilked out of the U.S. taxpayer. Everyday people that they’re trying to keep it together to take care of their families, go after their hopes and dreams. Right. That money’s been taken from them or from our children in the form of debt. And we are realizing that it’s gone to a whole bunch of different fraudsters. And then to see the chaos that is being fomented there, and it goes back really to – all of this illegal immigration, and then also immigration that has been paid for by the American taxpayer through NGOs that have brought people here under refugee resettlement, not assimilated them into the American idea. And so this has been a long time in coming. This didn’t just happen. And then the radicalization of many, and I’m going to say many of the highly educated millennial white women That are very, I think, involved in this. They think that they’re doing something worthwhile. But yet there’s been a lot of radicalization within that arena. And so we’ve just got a lot going on. And we’ve got to pray for wisdom and discernment and for cooler heads. But we cannot have a country where we have illegal immigrants that are hurting people that then people are saying we want to keep them here. And then we no longer have safe communities. So this is not okay. But I did want to go through just a few headlines. This is a big deal, and many of you may not have seen this. This is reported from the Center Square. It says the Supreme Court ruling allows Boas to challenge Illinois election law. So we’ve got to have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. We need to have an informed electorate that understands what the issues are. So when we have mail-in ballots that are going out to everyone plus everyone, And those ballots are coming back in. And what had happened here with this particular court case is that in Illinois, this is from Center Square, it says, A dispute that lower courts have previously refused to hear. In a decision issued Tuesday, the high court ruled that federal candidates have legal standing to sue states over election laws governing their races, rejecting lower court rulings that both fail to show a sufficient injury to bring the case. So this is giving candidates standing. This is a very, very big deal. But we’ve got to have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. We need to have an electorate that understands this whole American idea and elects people that will preserve and conserve the American idea as well. And then we also need to have candidates that are stepping forward. This is a three-stooled approach. And the radical activists left secular… Secularism, there we go, relativism has been in a battle on all of this. These 2026 elections that are right around the corner are so important. And we must hold the House, we must hold the Senate, and we must be electing at the local, the county, and the state level people that understand and will conserve and preserve our great American idea. So we truly are in the third founding of our country. Look no further than Minneapolis. And you can see that. But we’ve got to have communities that believe in law and order, but constitutional law and order. So we want to make sure that this stays within the context of the Constitution. And so we are at a time of choosing. There is no doubt about it. Another thing that I wanted to mention, and I did just mention this shortly, or gave a brief mention on this. Attorney General here in Colorado, Phil Weiser, who’s running for governor, has launched an online site for Coloradans to report concerns on ICE agents. Where was that online site for us to report concerns about people that are here illegally that might be doing fraud, might be hurting people on government assistance? Where’s that hotline, Phil Weiser? Where’s that at? So that’s another question there. Lastly, and this is from the Colorado Sun, Litwin says, why is Jared Polis even considering commuting Tina Peter’s sentence? You can see all kinds of opinion right in that particular headline. But the Colorado Court of Appeals, I read a bit of a transcript on that, and it looks like that they are really – We’re really looking at this nine years for a nonviolent offense for somebody that didn’t even have a traffic ticket. And she’s in maximum security prison here in Colorado. So this is going to be interesting. My ear to the ground is a number of people are saying that Polis is actually going to probably commute her sentence or do something. We want him to release her. That is what we are calling on. to be kind, compassionate, and merciful, and to release her. A quote for the end of the show is Thomas Jefferson. He knew this all these years ago. When once a republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils, but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles. Every other correction is either useless or a new evil. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way.
