If something’s a good idea, you should not have to use force to implement it. And it’s never compassionate nor altruistic to take other people’s stuff, their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods, or lives via force. Force can be a weapon, but it can also be policy, unpredictable, in excess of taxation, forced fees, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation. And this agenda of the World Economic Forum and global elites, but we’re seeing it play out all the way down to local governments. And I will mention our bill of the day. We’re going to start that today. And the first one out of the chute on this was, let’s see, it was. House Bill 26-1001, Housing Developments on Qualifying Properties. And this is the very first bill that was proposed at the State House. The sponsors on this bill are on the House side, Representative Andrew Bosenecker and Representative Javier Mabry. and on the Senate side, Senator Tony Exum and Senator Julie Gonzalez. And this is concerning the promotion of residential developments on qualifying properties. And the bill requires a subject jurisdiction on or after December 31, 2027 to allow a residential development to be constructed on a qualifying property that does not contain an empty parcel subject to an administrative approval process. Again, hear that, it’s the administrative approval process. It’s not going through your elected representatives. This is a qualifying property, is real property that contains no more than five acres of land and is owned by, begin with this, a non-profit organization with a demonstrated history of providing affordable housing so this is going affordable housing is this is the narrative to take away people’s private property rights and one has to ask why is how can it how is it that a non-profit owns land i thought that nonprofits were supposed to be providing services and so anyway but it goes on a non-profit organization that provides public transit a non-profit organization that has entered into an agreement with another non-profit organization with a demonstrated history of providing affordable housing provided that the agreement requires the nonprofit organization with the demonstrated history of providing affordable housing to develop a residential development on the property it could be a school district Now remember that many times in a new development, the school district is, the developer is required to give the school district land in lieu of building a school. So school districts have this land. It could be a state college or university, a housing authority. a local or regional transit district or regional transportation authority serving one or more counties. So this is a way that there is going to be, again, affordable housing. This is going to be dense housing. It could be right here in your neighborhood. This is the first bill out of the chute, out of the Colorado House. And so we are off to the races. And, again, you don’t see any private property ownership, whatever, in any of this. And so stay tuned on that. on what’s going to be happening on that so as i say that we’re seeing it play out right here into our local neighborhoods as well and this is a taking this is the globalist lease agenda so remember if something is a good idea you should not have to use force to implement it on the show we focus on the issues and we’ll mention the people pushing those issues but we do stay out of the personality stuff that that can happen in politics big time Our word of the day is elicit, and it is spelled E-L-I-C-I-T. It’s a transitive verb. It could be to call forth, draw out, or provoke a response or reaction. And then number two could be to draw out or entice forth, to bring to light, to bring out against the will. to deduce by reason or argument. And here on the show, as we have these conversations, we are working to elicit a conversation about to search for the truth and foundational principles on these issues. And we are committed to doing that. Our quote of the day, today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and so I thought it would be appropriate to have a quote from him. He was born… In 1929, died in 1968, he was an American civil rights activist and Baptist minister who was the leader of the civil rights movement. From 1955 until his assassination in 1968, he advanced civil rights for people of color in the United States through the use of nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience against Jim Crow laws and other forms of legalized discrimination, which most commonly affected black Americans. And remember these Jim Crow laws, actually, and KKK, that all was through the Democrat Party. It was the Republicans that, and in fact, Ike Eisenhower, before the Civil Rights Act of, I think, 1964, was it? Ike Eisenhower in the 50s, they had put forth a civil rights bill. proposal as well. So it’s really been Republicans that have been standing up for everyday people’s rights. But today is Martin Luther King Day, and so his quote of this, and he said, it is always the right time to do the right thing. And yes, it is always the right time to do the right thing. It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing, and it’s never the right time to do the wrong thing. And so, again, that’s Martin Luther King Jr. Several of the headlines that wanted to go through this one is from Fox News. And this is James Carville, who is a Democrat strategist, is warning Democrats to avoid talking about trans athletes in women’s sports. and defunding the police. Those things are unpopular, but both of those things are where the radical activists that have taken over the Democrat Party, that’s where they are. And we’re seeing a doubling down on on the radical activists as they are working to claim the narrative regarding what’s going on in our country. So I talked with a friend, said that up in Arvada yesterday, that there were demonstrations against Trump and against his agenda. And then I talked with some friends that were out and about on the south side of town, and they also said that there were demonstrations. And their comments were, I think many of these people were probably being paid. And I think also, though, we’ve got radical activists. Again, they’re really using what’s going on in Minneapolis to stoke the fire on the narrative out there. And I’m really, really concerned. My heart’s been very heavy about what’s happening in our country. And I… The narrative out there, Donald Trump gives the radical activists on the left side soundbites that can be used against what is trying to be accomplished, the good things that are being accomplished. And we need to be focusing on the good things. The midterms right now, this is what this whole fight is for. The fight is for the midterms. And if the Democrats take over either the Senate or the House, This agenda that we have seen to try to get government back into its proper role will stop. And that means that the America that we’re trying to reclaim, we’re not going to have the opportunity to do that. So all of this narrative out there is about the midterms. And we need to have Republicans that are representatives that are standing up for… the American people. And so this is what the whole game is. And this narrative of what’s coming out of Minneapolis again is, and I think it’s also trying to take away the focus on the fraud that has occurred within the Somali community, defrauding the American people. But yet, trying to use the narrative of immigration, people coming here, they want to come here for the American dream. It’s all conflated. So bottom line, if people are coming here to hurt us, they need to be deported back to their own country. If people are coming here to be put on to government assistance, that doesn’t work because that means that’s money that’s being taken from Americans and being given to people to put them on government assistance here and government programs. That should not occur. And nonprofits have made a lot of money in doing so. And then lastly, if people have come here to defraud and have defrauded America and Americans, they need to be deported as well. So that’s the game that’s happening right now, is that our American Dream, people that have come here for the American Dream, And that is being conflated with those that are coming here that want to hurt us, defraud us, and are coming here to live off of us. That can’t happen. That’s not sustainable, and it has to be stopped. And so that’s the bottom line on that one. Next thing, this is, I remember this zip car. And when it was being proposed, and this is from the Daily Mail, it says Zipcar leaves the United Kingdom, abandoning 650,000 members. And again, this was an assault upon our freedom of. And it was couched that you could have a Zipcar, you could call a Zipcar and it would come and it would take you where you needed to go. It says, car sharing club Zipcar has seized its operations in the UK with immediate effect, prompting a flurry of criticism directed at Sadiq Khan for failing to convince it to stay in London. The company, which offered car rentals for as little as an hour to members across the capital, It had suspended operations at the end of last year as it mulled over whether to pull the plug following a downturn in business. And it goes on to say, those watching Zipcar’s decline had called on Mayor London’s Sadiq Khan to do more to support car clubs, which supporters say helped take unnecessary cars off the streets and say today’s news was entirely avoidable. But the way that it was avoidable was through subsidies. And so, again, we’ve got to get back to where we are in a situation where businesses can compete and thrive and prosper in the free market. And we’ve got to reduce rules and regulations and taxes and fees. on our businesses. And here in Colorado, what we’re seeing is really all these different things are really making it difficult for our small businesses to stay in business. And so we’re going to continue talking about these important issues. And Roger, as we’re looking into the new year, there are things that people can do to organize their finances, get more organized for the year. So what should people know?

One of the things that is ever present on my mind at any rate is being prepared in life as you go through the phases of that thing we call life so if something happens to you unplanned car accident cancer or something catastrophic that your wife your family your heirs your nieces and nephews have some way of administering your estate, your assets for you when you’re not here. You know, I’ve often heard the phrase through my career that what’s the best thing a husband, for example, in heaven can do when he dies? His wife wants him to come back and do what? Tell her where everything is. You know, where are the passwords? Where are the wills, the trusts, the titles of the car? Honey, I don’t know anything. We never shared that. So the husband comes back to earth and sits down with her and gets everything organized. Well, obviously that’s not going to work. You’ve got to do that before you pass. So my message to anybody over 40, let’s say that day, They take care of their family so they’re not left with a very bad situation when the primary breadwinner dies. Now, what I mean by that, I have a notebook. It’s very thick, three-ring binder, everything I have. my will, my certificate title, social security numbers, birth certificates, general instructions. There’s over 17 items in my binder with a table of contents that help my family, if both my wife and I die in a common disaster, airplane, car accident, whatever it might be, that this book is there for them to open and they can find out my discharge papers. They can find out who my attorney is, where the will is, what life insurance I have, beneficiaries, where are my investments. All of that is in one place. It’s not in a file drawer with a series of separate files that people have to go through. So I’ve developed a book. A table of contents. If any of your listeners want to call me on how to do that, I would be glad to help them. Because it is so essential. And as you get older, it’s even more essential. Because, you know, whether you’re still building assets and have a large amount of money in a 401k or real estate property. how’s that going to be disposed of when you die or how is the benefits of creating that going to be utilized by your wife do you have a plan some of you are still married and she’s alive or by your errors if you’re the second one to die preparing yourself is so essential because you’re so busy in life so busy being busy we don’t realize there are things we need to do to trying to take the full benefit of those years that we use to build our estate. So help your family by organizing your things, putting them in a notebook, creating a table of contents, sharing that with your loved ones, your family members, certainly your attorney. And so I might be anal about it, but I think it’s so important. I see so many people They say, well, my husband handled all that. I don’t know anything about that. That husband can’t come down out of heaven. But in you, and I have one client going through that right now, it’s going to be the death of her because she is just beside herself. Everything takes 10 times longer than it didn’t have to happen. So that’s my story for today.

Happy Monday to you as well, Greer. And tell us just a little bit about the Colorado-Wyoming Petroleum Retailers Association.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, we are a almost 100-year-old trade association that primarily represents fuel distributors. In Colorado, we do about 2.3 billion gallons of fuel each year. And a lot of those same companies own all the little gas stations and convenience stores that people use all the time. So, Generally speaking, we’re an association who engages in political and regulatory advocacy on behalf of the members and our customers.
SPEAKER 19 :
And regulations in Colorado at the local, county, and state level, I see it makes it difficult for a lot of our small businesses and our businesses to operate in Colorado. So there’s something that’s happening in Aurora. that has come to the attention of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, which is an all-volunteer organization that watches out for the taxpayer, which is everybody. And so tell us what is happening in Aurora.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, Aurora traditionally has been a really great city to operate in for small businesses and businesses generally. Right now, Aurora, like many cities, are taking on the political discussion around age-gated products, including kratom and tobacco and nicotine and some of the newer products that are entering the market, flavored products and so forth. And then they’re actively trying to protect kids from things like flavored nitrous oxide and stuff. So Happy to be engaging in that conversation. We wish that the regulatory authorities and the public health groups had kind of reached out before they dropped their ordinance. But we are working with the licensing manager to try to come up with a regulatory structure that doesn’t make it too burdensome for businesses, but also does hold bad actors accountable. And more importantly, and the most important thing, helps protect kids from products that they shouldn’t be using until they become adults. And so right now, I would say that the ordinance is pretty aggressive. It’s probably the most aggressive kind of anti-business ordinance that we’ve seen in almost 40 different jurisdictions in Colorado. But we’re working on it and appreciate that folks are paying attention because The more regulations that we face, unnecessary regulations, and the more costs that businesses incur, that means that we’ve got to pass that on to folks, and hopefully we can find a place where we can get to a point where it’s a win-win for everybody.
SPEAKER 19 :
So tell us what the ordinance would do exactly, Greer Bailey.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, on its surface, it’s a… no different than a lot of different other cities. It kind of age-gates products. It requires retailers to get another license. But there’s some stuff in there that probably goes a little bit too far. There’s some setback stuff from other businesses. It holds people to a standard pretty much unseen anywhere else in the state when it comes to, you know, a business could be rejected for a license for, for example… having a sales tax violation five years ago, or one of our companies on our board that might operate in other states, if they’d ever been subject to an administrative penalty anywhere in the country, for example, then that would prohibit them from getting a license to do something that they’re responsibly doing now. And so, again, nobody rejects or opposes making sure that bad actors in our industry are held accountable. We right now feel like it’s gone entirely too far in the other direction. And while we would be willing and happy partners to, you know, support an enforcement mechanism or an enforcement structure that does hold bad actors accountable, we’re just not quite there yet. But, you know, we’ve That’s why we work really hard, and that’s why we present data and present alternative policy ideas. And ultimately, it’s up to the city council what they’ll accept and not accept.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, so this is a license for products such as Kratom or flavored. So this would be a license to provide those things at a gas station. Is that right? Am I hearing that right?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, no, not just gas stations, but small comedian stores, vaping shops, grocery stores, everybody would have to get one. We already have licenses at the state level in the tobacco and nicotine space. And so from that perspective, this one is a little bit redundant and duplicative. But sometimes local law enforcement know who the problem people in their community are better than the federal government, the state government. So you know, clearly there’s a role and it’s not uncommon, you know, even in, you know, super business friendly communities that this exists. It’s just, this one was kind of drafted without any input from the business community and the small business retailers. And so there’s some things in there that go, well, they’re not really that reasonable. And so what we’re trying to do is work really hard to take those things out and get back to a pretty Pretty basic but effective enforcement ordinance where those people can be held accountable that need to be held accountable.
SPEAKER 19 :
So Greer Bailey, and we’re talking about kids under the age of 18. Is that correct, buying these products? Is that where the infringement is? Is that what they’re really looking at then?
SPEAKER 08 :
So it’s under 21 under the previous – in the first Trump administration – Our manufacturer partners got together with President Trump and Majority Leader McConnell at the time, and nationwide, we raised the tobacco age to 21 at that point. Now, states are kind of following along, and some cities have been a little ecstasical about raising their local ordinances up to 21, but as retailers that are licensed at the state and local level as well as I mean, we try to obey all the laws, right, at the federal, the state, and the local level. So we’ve been operating for the last, you know, effectively seven, eight years at the age of 21. To your question specifically, yes. I mean, that’s generally what it’s supposed to do. But the sad thing is that, like, they’re trying to also, in the same ordinance, like, restrict the further development of certain trade sectors and gas stations could be construed as one of those. And, uh, you know, we generally oppose, you know, undue restrictions on our, on our trade industry for development purposes. You know, Colorado’s for example, benefiting from really low gas prices right now. And that has to do with competition and, you know, uh, When you have new entrants into the market, they want to try to earn customers, and so that helps drive prices down for stuff. There are things that are in this ordinance that are more trade channel restrictive than they are age gate restrictive, and those are the things that we’re working on.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. Well, Greer Bailey, who is the executive director of the Colorado Wyoming Petroleum Retailers Association, keep us in the loop. I’m working to try to understand this ordinance as well, and we certainly want competition. I do find it a bit ironic that we have people that could step up and join the military and at the age of 18, but yet they can’t purchase these products. I do find that’s a little inconsistent, at least in my brain.
SPEAKER 08 :
I don’t disagree with that. I mean, you can get married, you can do all sorts of stuff at 18. I think really what it came down to is, you know, youth youth rates, you know, in Colorado across the country were dropping significantly, you know, in the last, you know, call it 20 years. And then some new products came onto the market, primarily in the vaping space. And they didn’t have the same sort of regulatory federal oversight when it came to flavors and so forth. And so there was an uptick in youth use rates, not just for 18 to 21-year-olds, but in age groups that are younger than that. And that was a legitimate public concern. And so I think the president took a look at that back, like I said, in his first term, got together with manufacturers, said what’s the right thing to do for the country at this point. And I think that it’s probably accurate to say that the reason that the tobacco and nicotine age is 21 is because, you know, there were some companies who entered the market and, you know, started selling birthday cake flavored vaping. And that’s not really… probably directed at, you know, kind of a 45 year old truck driver or a mechanic or, you know, someone like me, that’s, that’s not a, those, those products aren’t designed for those people. So I think it was probably based on, you know, the changing market that that was increased, but no, forever and ever, uh, you know, the age was 21. And, um, even with youth rates dropping, it was, you know, the age was 18 and, Then the market shifted a little bit, and the policy folks responded to it. So that’s what happened.

Hi, Kim. Great to join you again. Happy New Year.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, Happy New Year to you as well. And you’ve said that 2026 will be an ugly year for green energy. What are some of the reasons?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, what Mr. Trump has done and his administration in 2025 have made big, big changes. The one big beautiful bill cuts subsidies for wind and solar. We’ve had subsidies in place since 1992. mostly tax credits for wind and then solar for quite a while. We have offshore wind farm bans that are going on. We have an electric vehicle slowdown. And we have the artificial intelligence revolution that we’ve talked about, which is looking to mostly put in gas and some nuclear. Now, Colorado has some goals. I’m sure you’re aware of those, to have green energy by 2040, 100%. and we see the rest of the world is turning away from this in many ways. So you also have, I think you had electric vehicle mandates, but those are being struck down by the EPA as well that is no longer granting waivers for state pollution vehicle control laws. So big, big changes for renewables, and we’ll see how it rolls out this year.
SPEAKER 19 :
So Steve Gorham, have they gotten rid of the subsidies totally, which I would love, so that these different energy sources compete in a free market? Because that seems to be really the place, I think, to get us to competitive energy production. So where are we at on those subsidy cuts?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I think at the federal level they have. The investment tax credit or alternatively a production tax credit, those aren’t completely gone yet. Those are being phased out. But you have to start a project, I think, by something like 2027 or finish it by a certain date. And so if you don’t have your renewable project underway, you’re not going to get those big credits. They’re pretty big. They were 30% of investment, for example, the investment tax credit. Credits for sale of an electric vehicle also have disappeared. Those ended in September. It was $7,500 for a new electric vehicle tax credit, and sometimes a dealer would take that and give you a discount. And then there’s also for sale of a used EV was up to $4,500, depending on conditions. So those are gone now. So, you know, EVs are going to have to compete, and that’s fine. I think they’re going to get better and better. But the idea that we ought to get everybody driving an EV or we put up all this wind and solar to make the storms less severe, that’s really modern superstition.
SPEAKER 19 :
And what about wind farm bans? Because what we’re seeing here in Colorado, we’ve got a real concern with, and I’m calling them industrial transmission lines. So building wind farms out on the eastern plains of, I’m not going to call it a wind farm, I’m going to call it an industrial wind project.

I don’t like the word farm either.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right, because it elicits a different visual. So these big industrial wind projects, in order to get that energy to the metro area, they’re looking at these industrial transmission lines. And we’ve had something really interesting. Elbert County commissioners and El Paso County commissioners had denied the permit for Excel to do that. So Excel has gone to the Public Utilities Commission, which is a commission. It has three commissioners appointed by Jared Polis. So it goes all the way right back to the governor and his agenda. That’s out there right now. The hearings have been held, and it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with these industrial transmission lines. And they’re using eminent domain, Steve, to take people’s land out on the eastern plains.
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, that’s a shame. It is.
SPEAKER 19 :
It is a shame. So your comments on that?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, well, you’re right. You’re right on. Transmission is a big, big issue with renewables. And people don’t really know, but I think we’ve discussed before in your program, uh to get the same amount of electricity out as a coal or a nuclear or a gas plant you need a hundred times the land for wind and solar to get the same average energy out and so you have to build these things all over the place up on ridges you have to find farms uh all over the countryside a hundred times the land and then you have to build transmission lines out to all these so wind and solar require two to three times the amount of transmission towers that that uh You need with a traditional source of electricity. And, you know, nobody wants all those big towers hanging over their residence or their farm. So it really is a problem. And wind and solar would not be considered environmentally friendly if it wasn’t for the fear of manmade warming that many people have accepted.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yes. So I’ll do a quick advertisement, if you will, for A Climate Conversation, which is the documentary that we filmed about three years ago. And it’s a project about Johnson. And it really breaks down just a good conversation about this whole climate narrative out there. So next question, Steve Gorham, regarding these offshore wind projects, Trump has recently halted all of those. And so what’s that? What’s the impact from that?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, well, this has actually been a two step thing. First, he issued an executive order early last year to stop all new offshore wind. And the United States owns the land under the ocean. The federal government from about three miles next to the shore owns out to 30 miles or more. And so you have to get a permit to be able to build anything out there from the federal government. Well, Trump shut those down for all the new offshore wind, and there are many projects that were looking to do that. But there were five projects, five major projects that already had permits to do this. And now recently, he has halted those as well. And he calls them a national security risk. They interfere with radar and other sorts of things. He doesn’t like potential problems with whales. Now, there have been a couple of judges that have already decided against his halting on a couple of these. So we’ll see. This is going to be a legal battle. But he has really crunched the offshore wind industry, and many of these wind companies have taken billion-dollar write-downs already. You know, by the way, I think this actually is going to be good for consumers because when we get a big hurricane that goes through the East Coast of Virginia or New Jersey, and these have happened in the past, it’s going to tear those wind turbines up. And the ratepayers are going to end up paying for these things. So I don’t think we should be building offshore wind. Europe’s a little different. They don’t have the big storms that we do. But I think these are bad ideas from a durability point of view.
SPEAKER 19 :
And then bring this back to Colorado before we go to break is with wanting to go to all. And again, I have this in air quote renewables. But again, this is the whole narrative out there. We are seeing in Colorado our rates for our electricity are going up. In fact, Excel has just requested, I think, over a $500 million total rate increase. So the narrative that they say to consumers is, oh, the renewables are going to be cheaper. But that’s not the case whatsoever. So they say one thing, but the other thing is the reality, Steve Gorham.
SPEAKER 07 :
Right. Well, you’re absolutely right. Actually, Colorado is in pretty good shape. end of 2024, your electricity prices were 11 cents per kilowatt hour, which was below the national average of 16 cents per kilowatt hour. And California is at 32 cents per kilowatt hour in 2024. So you’re almost a third of the price of California. And if you look now, this is energy information administration data here. End of 2023, you were getting 34% of your electricity from gas and 48% from coal. I think the coal has gone down some. Renewables were only about 17%. So you’re relying on coal and gas, and your prices are very low. But with the goals that you have out there to be net zero, now they want to build all these wind turbines, shut down the coal, put in solar in places, and these are going to force rates to go up. We look at all the left-leaning states, if you will, California, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine. They have electricity prices that are more than double Colorado. Oh, I’m sorry. I made a mistake. I was looking at Utah. You guys are actually at $0.15 per kilowatt hour. That’s still below the national average in half of California. But as you go put in all these renewables, yeah, the rates are going to go up.

and and that’s a big squeeze on coloradans everyday hard-working coloradans and also as you mentioned the amount of land that is being taken and that is many times that could be farming and ranch land that feeds people and so we’ve got to get rid of these subsidies and it looks like we’re moving in the right direction i’d like to do it even quicker but we’re going to continue the discussion with Steve Gorham, who is the executive director of the Climate Science Coalition of America. You do have mandates, yeah. And I don’t know exactly what the year was, but you’re one of the companies that has a zero emissions vehicle mandate. Again, what the Trump administration and Congress did was strike down the waivers from the EPA, which is allowing these mandates. The 1970 Clean Air Act said that the federal government is responsible for pollution laws. But they gave waivers to states like California to put in their own. And California’s had more than 100 waivers when they put in these pollution laws, including vehicles. And many states follow them, like Colorado. But now those have all been struck down. They’re disappearing. So I don’t know what the states are going to do. California is suing, by the way. But, yeah, EV sales last year about this time were about 8% of U.S. new car sales. They dropped to about 7% in the second quarter. Then the One Big Beautiful Bill Act was passed, getting rid of the tax credit at the end of September. Sales jumped up for a while. But now this last quarter of 2025, electric vehicle sales were down 37% from the year before. And a lot of people are going and buying hybrids. And by the way, Tesla’s EV sales have fallen two years in a row. They’re global EV sales. So this idea that everything’s going to be an EV within 10 years or so is not going to happen.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. And I’ve seen the car manufacturers have taken some big losses on EVs as well. So let’s move over. We’re having a very mild winter here in Colorado. In fact, the ski resorts are really wanting some snow. But throughout the country, there’s some severe colds. So talk to us a little bit about these temperatures and the narrative on climate change.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, on Sunday they got snow in South Georgia, which is not something they do very often. Chicago at the end of November had 10 inches of snow, which broke our all-time record. And so we’re having cold and a lot of snow around the country. By the way, though, the climatists, the people that believe in climatism, the fear of man-made warming, have said snow is going to disappear. In my early books on climatism, I quote Dr. David Viner, a senior research scientist at the Climate Research Unit in the UK. In the year 2000, he said, quote, children just aren’t going to know what snow is. But actually, snowfall in the northern hemisphere has been slightly increasing for many years. Your listeners can go to a website called the Rutgers University Global Snow Lab. And there you can see that in the winter, the snow extent, the amount of snow, the amount of ground that is covered by snow has actually been rising for the last 40 years or so. So snow isn’t disappearing. I hope you get a load of it for your ski here in Colorado pretty soon. But, you know, it’s getting a little warmer out there, but snow is still plentiful.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, well, yeah, we’d like a little bit of that in Colorado, but I know that throughout the country there’s a lot of snow out there. Next question, these data centers. And I know that Trump has said that AI is important from a national security standpoint. No. But Steve Gorham, I look at the number of data centers that are being proposed or that are being built, and they’re really energy hogs and they’re water hogs from my understanding. This is not a national security issue for all these data centers that I think are going up. I think a lot of it is just to keep data on everyday Americans. And so there’s a movement for moratoriums on this. So talk to me about that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, people are concerned about the downside to data centers. First off, this is occurring. Last year, the big guys, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta, spent $380 billion building data centers across the world. That number is bigger than the gross domestic product of 140 nations. That’s how big this is. But they are big. They’re two or three stories tall. They can be several football fields in size. People don’t want them in their backyard. And opposition is growing. And we just had 230 environmental organizations that sent a letter to Congress saying they want to put a ban on data center construction. And so we’ll see what’s going to happen here. By the way, Senator Bernie Sanders has come out for a ban as well. He says the billionaires are getting rich and nobody else is enjoying benefits from them. And of these 230 environmental groups, there were several Democrat groups, including the Progressive Democrats of America, New York Progressive Action Network, and the Seattle Democratic Socialists of America. So it’s very possible the Democrat Party is going to come out opposing data centers and artificial intelligence by the midterms here. We’ll have to see what happens. Representative Rashida Tlaib has also come out, wants a ban on data centers. It’s going to be a real battle this year, but But, you know, I have this image I put up when I speak to groups. It shows an 80- or 90-foot-high tidal wave, and I call that the artificial intelligence revolution. And then there’s a little tiny sailboat at the bottom, about 20-foot tall, and that’s net zero energy policies. And that tidal wave is just going to wash away net zero. That is what’s going to happen. So it’s going to be interesting.
SPEAKER 19 :
It is going to be interesting, and we’ve got just a couple of minutes left, so last question, and that is, the Trump administration pulled out of 66 different entities that we were involved in. What’s that regarding cutting funding to the 66 international organizations?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, this just happened this month, an executive order. And Trump had asked for his staff to look at the U.N. and other organizations that we shouldn’t be putting money with. And one of these was the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was established in 1992 by the United Nations. We’re pulling out of that. Scott Bessert, the energy secretary, is… Besant, sorry, the Energy Secretary, is pulling us out of the Green Climate Fund globally. And so this is a follow-on to earlier executive orders by Mr. Trump, but he’s pulling us out of all these international organizations, saying that, you know, they just aren’t… Well, let me quote him here, just a moment. Withdrawing the United States from international organizations, conventions, and treaties that are contrary to the interests of the United States… And so, by the way, when we withdraw from this United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, we’ll be the only nation that doesn’t belong to that. There were 198 nations now. Now there’s 197. So really a new direction in climate and international policy. We’ll see if this catches on with other nations.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. And if we have time, one more question, one minute. And that is closing in Carr right out here in Boulder.
SPEAKER 07 :
And that is the National Climate and Atmospheric Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado. Yeah, this is Mr. Trump is trying to purge anything that has climate change in his administration. And this is under the National Science Foundation for many years. They’ve been issuing reports. about global warming. And so he wants to disband this organization. He’s going to move people to other locations. And so a lot of the people are really concerned about this. But this is one of the groups that has been fostering climate alarm for many, many years. And again, I think the evidence shows that climate is dominated by nature. What we need to do is adapt to the climate, adapt to rising seas, adapt to warmer temperatures. That’s the only sensible course of action not thinking we can control the climate with wind turbines and electric cars.

As you know, we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And our word of the day is elicit. It’s E-L-I-C-I-T. And first definition could be to call forth, draw out, or provoke, for example, a response or reaction. Number two, to draw out or entice forth, to bring to light, to bring out against the will, to deduce by reason or argument. And so your challenge is to use the word elicit in a sentence today. This is from the American Heritage Dictionary of the English language. And their example was to elicit truth by discussion, right? And so your challenge is to use elicit in a word today. And our quote of the day is from Martin Luther King Jr. Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And he was born in 1929, died in 1968. He was an American civil rights activist and Baptist minister and was the leader of the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968. And he said this, he said, it’s always the right time to do the right thing. And my dad always said, there’s never a right time to do the wrong thing. And there’s never a wrong time to do the right thing. So Martin Luther King Jr. said this, it’s always the right time to do the right thing. And the Colorado State Legislature is in session. And so we are starting today with our Bill of the Day. And the first one out of the chute at the House was housing developments on qualifying properties. And the sponsors on this are Representative Andrew Bosenecker and Representative Javier Mabre. and Senator Tony Exum and Senator Julie Gonzalez. And it says the bill requires a subject jurisdiction on or after December 31, 2027. And there’s the word require. There’s your force word. The bill requires this subject jurisdiction to allow a residential development and that would be probably high density housing, to be constructed on a qualifying property that does not contain an exempt parcel subject to an administrative, and there again is another word that’s important, administrative approval process. So this would be going through your bureaucrats, not through your elected representatives. And a qualifying property is real property that contains no more than five acres of land and is owned by, and it goes through a number of nonprofits and other entities. And so this is coming down from the state level, affecting our local neighborhoods, and that was the first bill right out of the chute, and that is House Bill 26-1001. And I did want to highlight a couple of nonprofits that do not take government money, that are focused on really important things. And the first one is the USMC Memorial Foundation. And I guess they do own the land for the memorial, which they should. And the official Marine Memorial is right here in Golden at 6th and Colfax. And they’re doing great work to maintain the memorial, and then they do want to remodel and refurbish the memorial, and they’re raising money to do that. And the other is the Center for American Values, which is located in Pueblo, focused on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism through their portraits of valor of our Medal of Honor recipients, as well as their great educational programs for K through 12 kids and educators of those kids. Well, I’m very excited about it. But let’s talk about many of the great things that you’re doing. And you’ve got an event that’s coming up, and you help people plan for retirement, and certainly from a financial standpoint. But this event that you have coming up, I think, is so creative. So tell us about that.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yeah, so retirement planning, we tend to focus so much on the financial aspect of it, but just as important is the psychological aspect of it. And we tend to neglect that as financial advisors because we’re so focused on what we do. But helping our clients prepare mentally for that shift of identity is just as important. And people struggle with leaving the workforce and finding purpose and staying socially engaged. So our upcoming event in February is all about the psychology of retirement readiness.
SPEAKER 19 :
And just give us a few tips on what you’re going to be talking about.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yeah, so we’re going to be talking about how to stay engaged mentally. So, you know, continuing to plan for what are you going to do after you clock out that very last day? You know, putting together a plan that involves, you know, hobbies, volunteer time. how to stay involved in the community, how to mentally prepare for identifying in retirement, not just based off of your job. And it’s so important. There’s actually studies that show that people who are not mentally prepared or don’t have that purpose in retirement actually have a higher mortality rate. In fact, one study I was reading shows that there are 2.4 times higher mortality rates with a lack of purpose in retirement. So we’re going to focus on how do you find that purpose?
SPEAKER 19 :

He is a retired border agent from the San Diego sector and wanted to talk with him about what’s going on in our country today. So, Chris Harris, welcome to the show.

Thank you, Kim. Thank you for having me on again, and good morning to you.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, good to have you. And Chris, I in particular, I want to talk about what’s happening in Minneapolis and the narrative out there. I’m seeing people that had been supportive of the president with the visuals that are coming out of. Minneapolis with ICE. I’m seeing there’s public opinion is mixed up, I would say. So what do you think’s going on? And help us try to sift through it all.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, I mean, several things. And it’s a really good question. It’s a valid question. It’s something we have to face head on as a country. And the media, a lot of it, does a real disservice in this. A lot of them have their own ideology. But also, don’t forget, they’re here for clicks, likes, hits. people watching. So, you know, a lot of it’s just about money. One of the things that, this is a little out of my wheelhouse, but I thought it was very detrimental to the media and the press in this country, which we need. Our founding fathers knew we needed a robust press to look into things, to keep people in the straight and narrow, especially elected officials and bureaucrats. But one of the things I think that was horrible was in the 80s going to the 24-hour news cycle. CNN was fantastic at doing it, but it changed the way we do news Where it’s now just the first is with the most is it doesn’t have to be true. It doesn’t have to be accurate. Just get it out there and also find something to fill up 24 hours. I mean, you have a big void to fill with news. You remember back in the day when the news was on a certain few times, you know, you’d watch the news at six o’clock news, the eyewitness news, this or that. And now they have to fill it. And so taking aside the whole that we do know that a lot of these media outlets have an ideological viewpoint that’s different than half the country, that I think is a huge problem. So the media is always looking for something that’s – I don’t want to use the term vibrant because that’s too nice of a term, but something that’s explosive to get people to watch. So you’re seeing that, and it animates a lot of people that unfortunately I think a lot of people that come out of certain colleges and universities today, they don’t really have critical thinking skills. They were told what to believe, what to think, and this really gets them animated. So we’re seeing a lot of people getting involved in this where maybe they shouldn’t. You know, President Obama deported a lot of people using ICE. Nobody complained. And we also have to understand that there’s a lot of people that hate Donald Trump. And I’ve said that I don’t particularly care for him as a human being. I just use my critical thinking skills, put my big boy pants and say, yeah, he’s done some really good stuff and some other stuff I don’t like. But everything he does, I don’t automatically attach the most negative thing I can to it. And I think that’s part of a problem. But understanding the background here, ICE was formed in 2002 after 9-11. There was a blue ribbon committee, a panel put together of some very heavy hitters that looked at what contributed to 9-11 and the siloing of information. And I was there in D.C. for a union. I was representing the National Border Patrol Council from local 1613 here in California. And we were advising congressmen and senators on how they were forming Department of Homeland Security. They didn’t listen to us all the way. And what they did was, and this is a very technical term, they took 22 disparate agencies from around the government and smooshed them together into DHS. So it doesn’t work as well as we’d like, but it was there. It was ratified by Congress and signed into law. And it’s been there since then, since 2002 thereabouts. DHS has subcomponents. One of them is ICE. The other is CBP, Customs and Border Protection, which Border Patrol belongs to. These laws have been on the books for decades. These Title VIII, USC, United States Code Title VIII, that have been on the immigration laws, have been on the books for decades, and nobody has a problem. Now some are being used, and they’re being told to basically rise up and fight back against the federal government. I heard the mayor of… Minneapolis state that they’re being invaded by the federal government. That actual term was used by the South right prior to the insurrection, the Civil War. So we have people that are copying the words of the South before the Civil War on the left who are asking people to rise up and saying they’re being invaded by the federal government. People have to tamp this down. These men and women of ICE, the U.S. Border Patrol, and other federal agencies, don’t forget, they’re not just using those guys. They’re using deputy U.S. marshals, FBI, DEA, Bureau of Prisons, Federal Protective Services. All these people are contributing manpower to these operations. And they’re not always just after people that are here illegally. A lot of these are showing up operations that these guys are here illegally and they’ve committed other crimes. So what we’re seeing is this radicalization in certain areas that is really dangerous. And I’m going to pause for a second to let you jump in, but I’d love to touch on what happened with the church out there and in various hotels. This is some really dangerous, slippery slopes that we’re on.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, it really is. And so the photographs of ICE in their uniforms is really being used to make it look like there is a, you know, feds in our cities. And the visuals are just very, They’re difficult. And I ended up in a text back and forth with a friend that she’s really moved from support for Trump to that she would never vote for him. I think that all of this has been being used for probably moving into the midterms is a bigger picture on all of this. But yeah, I want to talk about that as well, that speaking of invasion, a church was, I guess I could say, invaded this weekend. So talk to us about that.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, I believe it was called St. Paul’s, and it’s in that area, the Minneapolis area. They thought that the pastor there might be involved with ICE, which the way they stated it made no sense that he was moonlighting as a deputy director. You don’t moonlight as a deputy director. But the fact was he wasn’t even there, and they went in there, and Don Lemon happened to be there. And they raided the church. Now, I thought ICE wasn’t supposed to go into church, and generally they don’t. But it’s okay for them to intimidate people and Christians from worship. That’s unacceptable. You’re going down this slope. to mob rule. And we have to ask ourselves, are we a nation that was founded on the rule of law? I mean, this goes back to Great Britain, to the English, with the Magna Carta, where the nobleman held a sword to the king and said, no, you’re going to put some things down in writing. You don’t get to just unilaterally and arbitrarily say this, that, or the other thing. And then that’s basically British common law, and it comes to us from our founding fathers into our original documentation, the Constitution, et cetera. And we want it to be a nature of the rule of law. And otherwise, you’re the rule of mob law. And we’re seeing that now. And what that basically is saying, you don’t like the law. We’re just going to stop you from enforcing it. We don’t want to follow it. We’re not going to do it the right way. We’re not going to go through our congressmen or congresswomen and our senators and change the law. Now, we’re not going to do that. We can’t be bothered doing that. We’ve had decades to change the law. We haven’t. What we’re going to do is decide arbitrarily and unilaterally what laws we’re going to pick and choose, what we want to enforce and what we don’t want to enforce. And that is a dangerous ground. Now, remember, we’re not a democracy. We’re a constitutional republic. Some people say democratic republic, but we’re a constitutional republic. A democracy, a pure democracy, is a horrible thing. That’s where you have a group of 100 people, 51 decide the other 50 need to die. That’s pure democracy. So we have checks and balances. And to decide we want to throw them away and we’re as a mob going to crash a church or going to a hotel because we think ICE agents might be there. And too bad if we terrify the people staying there. We’re in there creating vandalism and screaming and, you know, there’s families in there. That is, once you unleash that, these people that think they’re controlling it, and again, I believe you’re right with the midterms, they’re not going to be able to control this. You’re going to get to the point where people are just going to say, you know what, on both sides, I’m taking the law into my own hands. And that’s just absolutely horrifying. And seriously, I did not like the idea of using the Insurrection Act, but wow, it’s been used before. It was used in the L.A. riots. JFK used it to help to bring stop segregation in the South. So, you know, it’s been used by presidents of both sides. But really, when you’ve got mobs going to churches and in hotels, you are crossing that line into insurrection. But the thing is, like you said, the midterms, I really do believe there are politicians that want to use this. And I see that. I understand what you’re saying about some Republicans. I have some moderate Republican friends that are going, oh, well, you’re paying attention to what the media wants you to see and what the left, and I differentiate between liberals and the left, wants you to see and what their game plan is. But, you know, oh, why are they wearing masks? Because they’re being doxxed. They just doxed 4,500 ICE and border patrol agents. There’s a guy in Europe, he said he got it from an insider on DHS. These people have no problem going to your house and threatening your children. They say that, that your children are not off limits. This is terrifying stuff. So they wear face masks, so they’re not identified. Now, their command knows who they are. It’s not like they’re not, they could just do stuff and nobody will know who they are. The Masks have always been worn by tactical units and SWAT teams, always, and detectives. So it’s kind of very disingenuous to act like this is something new or they’re in unmarked cars. I was a police officer for several years in New York. When I was a detective, we used unmarked cars. We didn’t drive around in unmarked units. Nothing new there. People, these moderates have to wake up and say, oh, they’re separating families. We’ve been doing that forever. When I was a police officer and I arrested you because you robbed a store, you went to jail. But we didn’t put your wife and kids in jail. We separated that family. It’s been done for hundreds of years. We don’t punish the wife and children. And if we’re going to deport you, you have a right to have your wife and kids go with you or not if they’re U.S. citizens. So that’s all kind of just it’s just not true. And this is what they want. They want to cut off these moderates, these moderate independents, moderate Republicans to to say, oh, my God, this is horrible. They’re just enforcing laws that were left fallow under the Biden administration. they didn’t mind when it happened before and now all of a sudden trump’s saying do it and they’re doing it and and understand they’re telling them to fight back tom holman said at the very beginning of this if you guys want to play games with sanctuary city stuff and sanctuary state stuff realistically the easiest way for us to arrest somebody is when you have him in your jail or prison we go you turn him over to us we know he doesn’t have a weapon he’s in a controlled setting we put our handcuffs on we take him away same thing when they’re coming out of court And they said, no, we’re not going to do that. So Tom Helman said, okay, then you’re going to make us do it the hard way. We’re going to have to get them on the city streets. We’re going to have to get them into driving. We’re going to have to get them into their homes or apartments. And when we do that, anybody that’s with them that’s illegal is going to go too. So in the past, when I was doing the job, we were told when we went after a high-value target or whoever our target was, that say we had a warrant or we were going into their house, or their apartment, we weren’t to touch basically anybody else unless they were a threat. But now, and we call it collateral damage, if you want to play it the hard way, which Tom Holman warned, if you want to play these games, then when we go to get these people, even if Abuela is in the car with that guy that’s MS-13, her grandson, And it turns out she’s illegal. She’s going to go, too, which, one, don’t hang out with somebody in MS-13. They’re a family member. And, two, sanctuary cities and states should let us do it the easy way. They’re coming out of the prison. They’re a bad guy. They just did their sentence. Give them to us so they can go through the process that they go through in the federal government. They were also saying ICE is not police. They’re not trained. Yeah, they’re federal officers and federal agents, depending on what part of ICE they are. And they go to a federal law enforcement academy. They’re every bit of law enforcement as any cop as anybody else. So, again, that’s not even disingenuous. It’s not lying. They’ll say the ICE and Border Patrol can’t arrest people if they’re not on the border. Simply not true. Under statutory authority, we can arrest people for federal crimes anywhere in the United States. So I understand what the left’s doing, and they’re very effective with the media, portraying it as, oh, my God, this is ugly. They’re out there creating – they’re blowing whistles. They’re honking horns. They have sirens. They’re just trying to make a situation as chaotic as possible because chaos looks bad. And they’re very successful at it. And I really wish I could talk to people that are moderate Republicans, that are independents. Use your critical thinking skills and look at, yes, not everybody they’re arresting has committed another crime besides being here at USC 1325, which is a federal misdemeanor. But they’ve committed other crimes. They’re still arresting people that are pedophiles, that are rapists, that are murderers, that are in child trafficking. They’re listing it every day. Anybody cares to go to the website, they’re listing these people. And quite frankly, Kim, You know, I mentioned before, I went to Mexico. She naturalized. I was very proud to watch her hold the American flag and become a U.S. citizen. It’s not impossible. It’s actually not that difficult, especially under Biden. Anybody could have done it if they wanted to. But but you go to an immigrant community and I, you know, when we have family gatherings, I’m the only envelope here. They’ll tell you that they don’t want these people in their neighborhoods. They don’t want pedophiles or rapists or murderers or drug dealers in their neighborhoods with their families and with their kids. And I don’t understand where, when I was at the union, I was director of legislative and political affairs out here. When I would meet with senators and congressmen with a D after their name, Barbara Box and others, they all understood back in 2015, 16, they agreed. We agree. We think it’s good to get rid of criminal aliens. And now we have people defending them. And I just want people in the middle to kind of look out there, do a little independent research. When people say it’s not a crime to be here illegally, it is. Find out and then realize they’re lying to you and things do look a little ugly, but the left is doing that on purpose in concert with the media to make things look as chaotic and ugly as they can to do exactly what your friend just did, said, oh, I’m not going to vote for Trump now because he’s doing this.

Well, yeah. And so we’re going to continue this discussion with Chris Harris. He is a retired border agent from the San Diego sector and trying to sift through all this. And Chris, as we’re talking about this, I’m realizing that these illegal immigrants are being used as pawns. At least that’s what I can see is. And I’ve really looked at this. If people have come here and they want to hurt us, they’re here illegally and they want to hurt us, they need to be deported. If people have come here and they are defrauding Americans, they need to be deported. And if people are coming here for free stuff to be on government programs that is coming out of the pockets of everyday hardworking Americans, they need to be deported. And then those that are here for the American dream, they need to work to become legal citizens. I think that’s my bottom line. Is that unreasonable?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, I think that’s the perfect bottom line. I use my wife sometimes for these things. A lot of times I do speaking engagements. People want her to speak. They want her on them. She came here and she knew they had just come from another country by their actions and their manners and sometimes even telling her. And they were all demanding benefits. She said there was an old guy who came and he was from Tijuana and he just came over and he demanded how he’d get Social Security. And so there’s a difference between, and this is my wife’s quote, that people used to come here to work hard and become Americans. People come here now just to be in America. So there is there is a difference. And I think it’s noticeable. I know Mayor Fry of Minneapolis was saying that Trump is targeting brown people and Somalians. I don’t think Somalians were on anybody’s radar until the fraud came out. I don’t think there was word one from Trump, I’m going to restrict Somalians before this. Until this broke, the massive fraud, potentially billions of dollars in Michigan, or Minnesota, excuse me, nobody cared. And the other little dirty secret on the left that they don’t like, Karen Bass, the mayor of L.A., quote, talked about it, that the Border Patrol is a minority-majority agency. It’s probably about 60% are people of color and LGBT and all that in this agency. And Karen Bass said, oh, it’s so sorry that these people have to work there that, you know, or brown people have to work there for money. Nah, it’s generational. These families, when I came into patrol from the cops in New York, there was generations of families in Texas that went out of in border patrol that were Texians, you know, Mexican-Americans. So, you know, they throw out racism. They throw out this. They throw out that. What the media is also not showing you is the guy that’s running most of these operations, Greg Bovino, you’ll see him. He’s Border Patrol two stars on. I worked with him, one of the finest bosses I’ve ever worked with. As a union guy, I had a great rapport with him. He’s posted things, and I have friends that were actually there. What you’re not seeing in the media is them walking down the street, strolling down the street on the sidewalks in uniform, doing these options, walking down the street. And people were smiling at them, waving them, shaking their hands, giving them a thumbs up. So, you know, this media construct that everybody hates them is simply not true. You just have to look beyond that and see what’s happening. But we have these, a lot of these people are activists now, a lot of these women. I don’t think they have critical things, but one of the things I think is I’m a practicing Christian, and I’m not a good one. My wife will tell you that, and I need to work on it. And because of the First Amendment, I have the right to worship or not worship as I see fit, and I choose to be a Christian. I think that a lot of people, young people, are no longer involved in religion at all. And if you remember, like even after Trump was elected, people were telling young people, cut off your family ties if they voted for Trump. And a lot of people listen to that and they cut off friends. And you see a lot of YouTube videos, people saying, I cut off all my friends because they don’t think exactly the way I think. And so they have a lack of community and connectivity with people. And I think literally this is one of the things for them to connect with the community and is these activists, these protesters, these anti-ice warriors. This is a way for them to feel some connection with others. It’s like their own little community. And so I think the left has worked very hard to cut people off from what we’ve had in the past, which are close friends and family and loved ones and church and organizations like the Optimist Club. They’re all dying out. So I think people still, you know, human beings want some type of connectivity. They want to be in some type of society that, you know, feels close-knit and empowers them and nurtures them. And this is what they’re getting. And a lot of I think starts in some some universities and colleges. And now they’re this is their community is getting out there. They’re part of something bigger than them. And it’s dangerous. They’re putting themselves in harm’s way. They’re impeding federal law enforcement. All of a sudden, that’s OK. It never was in the past, though.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, the other thing is you’re talking about that, Chris Harris, is that human beings, they want to be connected. Yes. And they want to have purpose. And so I think that’s probably another thing that is connecting people with it, because It looks to me like it’s become a kind of religion for many of these activists. And then I do get a number of text messages as well that some of these people allegedly are being paid to do this as well. And can you speak to that at all?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, everybody throws that around George Soros. And there’s some truth to that. I mean, the first caravan, which we haven’t seen now under Trump, the first caravan came up under Trump the first time because he was doing things that were shutting the border down. And our intel units, which are some of the best in U.S. Border Patrol, they tracked it back. And there were certain groups that had organized the first caravan and subsidized, funded it. And yes, one of them was George Soros aligned groups, George Soros controlled groups. The other one was Venezuelan intelligence. which meant Cuban intelligence, which meant Russian intelligence. And those countries do that to harm our country and our societal fabric. But there’s another billionaire. He’s in Hong Kong now, and his name escapes me. He’s Chinese. He’s tied tight with the CCP, the Communist Party of China. And they’ve tracked at least 20 million to some of these groups to foment them. And within a day of the shooting of the poor woman in Minneapolis, they had… protests in various cities with the same signs, the same slogans. You can only do that with a lot of money to do that in like six hours. So that’s, you know, with the backing of the Chinese Communist government. Fomenting an arrest in our country and divisiveness is great for them. It costs us money. It divides us. I mean, ultimately, you know, China, Russia, Iran would like to see us, Cuba would like to see us fall. So that’s all, you know, setting in fence at all, you know, that again, that hurts us. So there is definitely no doubt in my mind, factually, that there is people funding a lot of these activist groups. I mean, there’s enough of these documents online, if you look for it, where there’s forms and advertisements to sign up and get paid, you know, $25 an hour to spew this nonsense. So you’re going to have a cadre of hardcore activists, leftists, ideologists, you know, Marxists, Leninists, communists. You’re allied with Muslim fundamentals, not regular Muslims, but Muslim fundamentals. They’re going to be the core, but a lot of these other activists are paid for. And then you have the ones who want to feel that purpose, Kim, who want to feel they’re belonging to something. You know, there’s a lot of these affluent, you know, white females that have no real purpose. They’re not dating. They don’t like men. There’s this discord and divisiveness and cutting people off from good relationships. And so they’re looking for something to validate themselves, as you said, purpose. So I break it down to three groups. You have the people that are actually agitators, the ones who are the cadre of this, who are true believers in whatever their ideology is, which is anti-U.S. And then you have the people that are getting paid. And then you have these people that are kind of driftless. And this is a cause for them to latch on to and say, look at what I’ve accomplished. I mean, that woman, I’m sorry she died, but her wife is on tape saying it was my fault. She had a son. The father was dead. She should have been home with the son or not putting herself in harm’s way. And she was looking, I believe, for something to to validate herself and bigger than herself and to belong to. So those are the three groups, I think, that are really, really behind this. But you’re not going to touch the activists unless you can actually arrest them for conspiracy. There’s not much you can do for these people that are just looking for a cause. It’s the money trail that we need to go after. And if they’re violating U.S. laws. They need to be charged and probably under RICO and conspiracy charges to shut down that flow of money that’s paying for a lot of this.

I think it’s one of the radio stations, TV stations. It’s not giving it to me right now. I thought it was KDVR. But anyway, it says that Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser says his office will launch an online portal where Coloradans can share their concerns and document alleged misconduct by ICE agents that occurs in the state. He said, I understand the concerns. I share them. I’ve seen the videos, the conduct of ICE agents and cases like Minnesota are outrageous. And we need to make sure we protect people and keep them safe. And so there’s going to be an online portal. And Phil Weiser is also running for governor for Colorado. So what’s your comments on that, Chris Harris?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, you know, I’ve been to Denver before because my stepson was stationed out there. I love Denver. But, you know, it’s another blue city and turning into a blue state. Look, you want to start that? God bless. I mean, is that really a value to your money, your taxpayer money? But all right. Do one also for, you know, reporting on bureaucrats, elected officials. doing fraud. I truly believe a lot of this is also a smokescreen. I truly believe, this is my heart of hearts, that because of the massive fraud in Minnesota, and I think you’re going to find in California, in fact, I know you’re going to find in California, so it is either tremendous malfeasance because they’re just stupid and incompetent, or they’re involved, these elected officials, all the way to the highest office in those states. And I think this is a huge smokescreen to don’t pay attention to that. Billions of dollars in fraud that we didn’t care about, we didn’t do anything about, or we were actively involved with or enriching ourselves. So, yeah, start them up. Put them up for all of them. You want to call in fraud that you think something’s happening? God bless. If he wants to do that, you know, he’s running for governor. That’s what elected officials do. Use taxpayer money. When they’re already elected and want to run for another office or the same office, they use taxpayer money to further their goals. I mean, that’s what they do. I think it’s ludicrous. I think it’s a waste of taxpayer money. But, you know, knock yourself out. You want to have a hotline where people can call in. Oh, they looked at me dirty. They were walking down the street. They were questioning someone. Oh, my God, they looked at me. And I’m scared now. Knock yourself out. I like to say this. My wife agrees with this. We keep hearing about how these people that are here illegally are terrified. Yet I see them out there protesting. I saw the other day a guy was screaming at a nice person. They arrested him. He’s illegal. So apparently not everybody’s all that terrified, and they’re co-opting Anne Frank, hiding in attics. No, they’re not. They’re out there protesting. So that narrative that everybody’s terrified, I think, is reprehensible and foolish and kind of funny, actually. But, yeah, Denver is going to do what Denver does. Your attorney general is going to do what he does. I mean, maybe you guys band together and vote him out. We’re trying to – we tried to recall Newsom out here. We weren’t able to do so. He’s running California into the ground. But that’s out of my wheelhouse. So, again, we’re back to do we want to be a nation of law or do we want to be a mob rule? And once you unleash a mob rule, it’s difficult to put that genie back in the bottle. If Trump goes for the Insurrection Act, which I’d say now has legal grounds, if people are doing like vigilantism and going to churches, trying to confront people and interfering in hotels, I think the left wants him to do that. I think they want this unrest. As I said earlier, I think they want violence to spread. The police in Minneapolis, I think it’s like 20 some officers have already resigned and 16 have joined ICE. The job of the mayor there is to order his police to enforce the laws and maintain peace and tranquility. Allowing them to raid hotels and churches is not doing that. And that falls under the Insurrection Act. So it’s a dangerous game they’re playing, and I’d like both sides to turn down the rhetoric. I see stuff on the right that I don’t like. I’ve always said that calling people names, you know, like make it up, Democrats and stuff, I always thought that was foolish. That’s like third grade. If the left does it, fine, but we don’t have to do it. We should be the party of rationality and being firm in our resolve, but being fair and just. And I just, again, I want people to look beyond what they’re seeing on the basic news sources. Do a little research. When somebody says they’re not police officers, ICE is not police, look into that. Look at what their statutory authorities are. When somebody says they can’t operate outside the border, look into their statutory authorities. When people do things like that, when they say they’re doing mass raids and just rounding people up in the streets, look into it. Say, I want to see the actual names and footage. You see a lot of times like they’re arresting American citizens. Well, we’ve always arrested U.S. citizens. We have that right to do. If you’re violating federal law, whether it be illegally or a U.S. citizen, we can arrest you for various things. But when we’re saying, oh, they arrested U.S. citizens and they deported a U.S. citizen and they’re asked to give a name, give an actual name of a U.S. citizen that was arrested, deported, they can’t. The only one they could bring up to was the guy that was still going through the courts. That’s from El Salvador. Like, oh, he’s El Salvadorian. He’s not a U.S. citizen. They were trying to deport him back to his own country. So I just ask people before you say, oh, my God, this looks ugly to me and I don’t like the way it makes me feel. And I’m a moderate Republican or I’m an independent with a brain. Look past that and say, why are they showing me all this? And what’s the end game? And do I believe it all, and can I really find out a little bit more and say, wow, they’re actually just enforcing federal law that’s been on the books for decades. And the left doesn’t want them to do that. And why does the left not want them to do that? Ask the questions. I’m not telling people what to think. Ask the questions and come to your conclusions. But to go on, I don’t like the way it makes me feel. That’s the leftist center’s domain. So if that’s what you’re going to do, then I guess you’ve decided you want to give up your critical thinking skills. Just let the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and ICE, they’re very into the Constitution. Let them do their jobs and protect the Constitution in this country and enforce the law as it’s written. That’s about it. Let them do their job.

And this came in from Jenny on the text line. She said, where is the number that people can call in the criminals that are here illegally? And I don’t know that we’ve had any kind of a hotline like that. I think that’s a good question. Next thing, we’ve got a couple of minutes left. Chris Harris, this has been super informative. But a comment that one of my friends had said that has really been watching all these videos from Minneapolis is that the Border Patrol agent could have shot Rene Good’s tires out. And it seems to me if a vehicle’s coming at you straight on that that would be difficult to do.
SPEAKER 09 :
First of all, in that case, if you see all the different angles in the body-worn camera, it would be physically impossible. Second of all, by our own internal rules and regulations in almost every police department, you’re not to shoot the tires out. You don’t know where that bolt’s going to ricochet to. Shooting a tire out is not going to start the vehicle. Have you ever watched a pursuit with people driving with flat tires on the rims doing 50 miles an hour? It accomplishes nothing. And this is a split second. I’ve been in a deadly force scenario. It’s split second, and you have an adrenaline dump, and you act on the best of your training, muscle memory, and the best you can do in that split second. This whole thing from when she started moving the car to the final shot was about three seconds. So it’s ludicrous when people watch far too much TV, far too much Hollywood. They’re shooting the guns out of people’s hands. It’s almost physically impossible. And again, if you look at all the footage, including his body worn camera footage, there’s no way he could have shot a tire out. But the car was inches from him. And shooting a tire out does not preclude being run over. So I hate to say to your friend, but that’s just ludicrous. It’s Hollywood. And if you think that that’s real, a lot of police departments, and I did it for the union, we had people come in and use our simulators, shoot, don’t shoot, all that. And I had people from a Democratic congressman’s office, and they all failed. They started shooting everybody. So when the adrenaline dump hits you, because it’s very real, even in the simulator. Go and try one of those police academies. A lot of those do that. They do citizens’ academies. Go and try it. And everybody I ever brought through afterwards was like, oh, my God, I didn’t know it was like that. So if they think they could shoot the gun out of somebody’s hand or shoot them in the shoulder or shoot at the steering wheel or shoot the tires, God bless, go and try it, you know, semi-real life in a simulator because it’s not going to happen. And, again, it’s against our rules and regulations. He’d be up on charges for that.
