Welcome to Call to Freedom. Oh, our God does miracles, folks. He really does. Just keep the joy button going. Just keep the joy going. I mean, he loves the people when they’re joyful, when they’re disobedient, it makes him sad. So we just are full of joy. Oh, because he is the Prince of Peace. He established peace for us when Jesus came on this earth. And Kimberly is going to talk about that today. Oh, it’s so beautiful. And all that he has accomplished for us has been done through his grace and his favor. And it all came about because of Jesus. Remember in the Old Testament, God was judge. And if somebody was disobedient, there would be consequences to that. But in the New Testament, Jesus’ grace is covering us. His favor is over us. And his mercy and love are just new every morning. And I hope that you’re seeing that today. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. And I’m still sending checks to Samaritan’s Purse tomorrow. I’m going to give a report, quite a lengthy report from Franklin Graham. I get his newsletter all the time. And it’s just chock full of not wonderful, but serious. And maybe I should say wonderful things that God has done for these people that have lost everything. Because we can’t say, well, this hurricane was from God. No, you can’t say that. You can’t make a blanket statement like that. And so I’m sending checks. And this weekend I’ll be sending another check. And thank you so much for your obedience to God and sending in your checks and your money orders for Samaritan’s Purse. I appreciate that so much. And you can still donate to — and write a check to call to freedom and then designate it the bottom left hand corner for Samaritan’s Purse. Or as some of the people, the listeners have said the flood. I know what you mean. And also I want to tell you that the — right now the emails are having a tough time getting through because we’re setting up a whole new website. My webmaster, new webmaster is just a genius and he takes — he needs time because my website was very old. As you probably when you got into it, you said, wow, this is an old website. So he’s really working hard this week. But you can — you have another alternative. And you have an opportunity to go to 670klTT.com. And then you just go down to Kimberly — you and — excuse me — thank you — welcome to call to freedom Kimberly. Thank you, yeah. We’re just talking about how to get to those radio programs that you want to listen to again. Yes. And you do that. 670klTT.com. And you do that on your phone. Folks, you got to phone — everybody has a phone. You’ve got a phone and you can go down to either program guide or programming tab, program guide or programming tab. And kind of shadow over that, go over that and hit it. Then you’re going to see replays, KLTT replays, go down to there. And then you’ll see — you’ll go down the list of teachers and broadcasters and you’ll see call to freedom. And listen to shows from August, September, clear up to last week. And I think Rachel was saying Travis will put on this week’s program on there. So that’s one way to hear the show if you can’t get into the FreedomStreet.org right now. So go to 670klTT.com, go down to program guide or programming tab, and then hit KLTT. And then you’ll see replays, only four steps, and then search for call to freedom. And that’s such a great way to do it. And I thank Travis and thank you, Rachel, for informing me about that. Because my head was kind of full of everything else that’s going on. And I didn’t even remember that. And that’s such a great way to hear call to freedom. And other teachers going that are on KLTT. And I’m not over that. We got all over the business and everything. And I’m excited about the teaching that you have today. Kimberly, God bless you as you teach and may grace and favor be upon every listener as they listen today. And on the words that God would transform these words and make them usable. Yes. Thank you, God. And also, you know, just the people who are needing those voter guides, just remember, instead of emailing, go ahead and just call the 877-917-7256. Give that a call. Kimberly. Yeah, that number is 877-917-7256. Call that number if you want to voter’s guide. And that way we can send it to you while the website is down. We can actually send you a physical copy. That’s right. Or even email. I think there’s enough of the new mail at the email that I could do that for the listeners. Well, yes. So when you call the number, leave your email address. Yes, yes. Or your address. Physical address. Yes, physical address. Oh, this morning I was reading in Jeremiah, Kimberly, before you get into John, which is wonderful. And the Lord is talking about all the disobedience and all the stubborn stiff-necked people that he has to face. And then in the 19th verse of chapter 15 of Jeremiah, he says, “If you will return, I will restore you. Before me, you will stand. And if you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become my people, my spokesman, my witnesses.” And that’s so beautiful, Kimberly, that we can look at a situation and see either negative or positive. We can either see joy or disruption and disaster. And he wants a people that look forward to the good things that are coming. Yes. That’s a great way to start this program. Because there is a lot of, oh, maybe some chaos right now in the switch on the website. And it’s not bad chaos. There’s nothing bad about it. It’s good, but it’s still chaos. And sometimes we can’t tell the difference between the good and the bad. And that happens in all of life. I think each one of us has experienced trying to build something or create something. I often think about the people who are working at grocery store. Those workers are restocking and making the shelves look attractive to the buyers that come in. And making the produce look attractive by piling it, stacking it so beautifully. And then we customers, we come swooping in like a bunch of vultures. And we deplete the shelves or mess up the beautiful stacks of produce. And they have to start over, over and over and over. I mean, they’re constantly rebuilding and restocking and reorganizing again and again throughout the day. And I remember when my children were all really young and I would try to clean house, you know, it started to feel like it was worthless. It doesn’t even have any value. Why am I even cleaning again? Because it’s just a mess just an hour later. And taking the precious from the worthless, what does that look like? You know, the things that happen in this life that seem to undo what we’ve been trying so hard to do. And then it feels worthless. It feels like, wow, I just did all this for nothing. But what is the precious part in that? How do we extract the precious from the worthless? And Jesus really is our example, our great example with a capital E. In John chapter 1 verse 29, John the Baptist saw Jesus coming. And he turns and he says, behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The sins of this world and the way our perspective leads us in this world can be worthless. But we can extract precious from that. And when we start noticing and really paying attention to what the Bible says about Jesus, and then insert our calling into that context, you know, look at it in a way where we put ourselves in there because we’re to become like Him. That’s the goal for us to become like Him. That’s precious. So there is preciousness in the midst of all that we might see as worthless. And we can see a more vivid picture of exactly what we’re called to when we look at who Jesus is. Yes, oh, that’s so good. Oh, that’s so good. In the Passion Translation, John 1, 29, John the Baptist sees Jesus coming to Him to be baptized and he cries out, look, there he is, God’s Lamb. He takes away the sin of the entire world. And when you think of Lamb’s, Lamb’s are followers. They’re submitted, they’re surrendered to the guidance of the shepherd. And when detours come or predators threaten, they trust their shepherd. They don’t lean on their insurance agents. They don’t default to their self-defense skills. They just don’t, they trust the shepherd. They’ll take care of it. And even if they learned self-defense skills, they realize I don’t have to put those in practice right here right now. I can trust, I can trust my shepherd. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He’s so surrendered to the path that he allows himself to be led to a cross. He didn’t deserve that cross. Not at all. And he knew that. He knew he didn’t deserve it. Yet he allowed himself to be led to that cross. And while he’s being nailed to that cross, he prays fervently over and over. This is what Luke 2334 tells us. That he says it over and over and he’s praying intensely. Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. That is what Jesus was saying in his dying breath. Jesus is breathing out forgiveness over all of us. And I’ve been thinking about our breath lately. Deep breathing exercises are so beneficial to our bodies. You know, some of you may know that. And as you do deep breathing, it can actually help with the pain that you might be feeling in your body. Just take deep breaths. Several of them over and over. Do that for three or four minutes. And you can see a difference that happens in your in your body. So that breath, what is that breath? There are some who believe that our breath and our ability to breathe is the indicator of life. Not the heartbeat, not the heart pumping, not the blood flow, but the breath in us. And that this breath is actually a very spiritual concept. Where did this breath come from? Well, the Bible tells us that God breathed his breath of life into humanity. So we each have this breath because God breathed it into us. His longing for companionship began its journey to fulfillment. It began with a breath. Genesis 2.7. God breathed life into Adam. That’s so good. And then when God Himself shows up on the planet in the flesh, what did He do with this very breath? He breathed out in His dying breath. He breathed out forgiveness. Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. Wow. That blows me away to really think about that and to see what Jesus came to do with that breath, that gift of breath in a body. He came to take away the sins of the world through forgiveness, breathing it out. And if you don’t believe me that that’s what it’s all about, look at John 20 verses 22 and 23. Before you get to John 20, I just want to mention that in John 1 and when He said behold the Lamb of God, two of John’s disciples heard him speak and they followed Jesus. Now if I were a man who was preaching the gospel and saying, I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord and I was called and commissioned to introduce Jesus into the world. And then my disciples started going with Jesus. Oh, I’ll tell you in this day and age there would be jealousy, there would be envy, there would be a grudge. And we see here that John, he had none of that. He was not a man that would hold a grudge. He was so forgiving and they followed Jesus. It’s amazing how we need to be those kind of vessels, Kimberly. I mean forgiving, forgiving, forgiving all the time, like John. You know, okay, you brought it up, you went there. So I’m going to John 1. We’ll spend a little more time in John 1. Because yeah, John the Baptist is testifying about Jesus and those two here. Yeah, and the testimony is amazing to the way that John the Baptist is testifying of Jesus. And it says that Jesus came to his own and they did not receive him. But as many as did receive him to them, he gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in his name, who were born not a blood nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God. God breathed into these children. And the word of God became flesh and dwelt among us and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the father, full of grace and truth. And John testifies and cries out saying, this, this is he of whom I have said he who comes after me has a higher rank than I for he existed before me. This is him. And John, John in the physical was six months older than Jesus. So this isn’t a physical thing he’s talking about. This is very spiritual. Yes. Right. Right. And in verse 16 of John one, it says for of his fullness, we have all received and grace upon grace. There’s a gift upon a gift. Grace upon grace. Peace upon peace. And this is how it comes from the father into us for the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ in other versions. And he breaks it down and calls that tender mercy was realized through Jesus Christ. What tenderness to allow your body to be ripped apart and then nailed to wood and be breathing out the mercy. And then they give them for give them they don’t know what they’re doing. Wow. He came from the father overflowing with tender mercy grace and truth. And now out of his fullness, we are fulfilled. And from him we receive this grace upon grace. That’s amazing. That is amazing. And so we have a book of two that start following him. I’m scanning because I wasn’t planning on going here, but you brought it up. So the two of John’s disciples. Yes. And he was standing with his two disciples and he looked at Jesus and said, behold the Lamb of God. And those two disciples followed Jesus. And what I love about this is the questions Jesus sees them following him and he asks them what do you want? And they they in turn look at him and say, where are you going? Isn’t that amazing? I love that. Jesus wanted to know what their intentions were, what their motives were. And they just wanted to know where he was staying because all they wanted was to be with him. That’s right. And there’s something about forgiveness that sets aside your own ideas, your own agenda, your own motives, your goals that you have. You set it aside to just want to be with. Forgiving is giving for the sake of relationship. Forgiving is giving for the sake of reconciliation. You give up comfort. You give up an idea. You lay it down for the sake of witness. Forgiving is giving for the sake of being in relationship with others. And that is what Jesus showed us. He was willing to give up his comfort, to give up the body he had been given, to give his breath and his dying breath, to speak out forgiveness so that he could create reconciliation, create a bond, create the kingdom of God on this earth. And it really did come for those who will accept that. For those who will walk in that kind of forgiveness. I don’t know if you can hear me saying, forgiving is giving for. You are giving up your idea and your position that you hold. The free will that you’ve been given, you’re giving it for the sake of relationship. Because you’ve figured out there’s nothing else you want. There’s no one else that compares to our God. And being in relationship with Him is more precious to you. You’re extracting the precious from the worthless. And you know what’s interesting is that some of us work so hard in our education, in our careers, in our power, our ability to gain money, and affluence, and have homes or cars. We work so hard in this life. And we have all these things. But guess what? Really, they’re worthless in comparison to the preciousness of who our God is. And being with Him in relationship is more precious than having all of this added to you in this lifetime. That’s right. And John 1, verses 17 and 18, it says, Moses gave us the law, but Jesus, the anointed one, unveils the truth, wrapped in tender mercy. Wow. Yes. And the Pharisees were continually looking back at the law and following the law that Moses gave. They could not realize the truth and grace through the Lord Jesus that was standing right there in front of Him, in front of all the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Because they were so traditionally minded, they had their mindset on one thing. And Kimberly, we’ve got a broadened that, that tent peg. We’ve got to stretch it out, broaden it, get our Father God out of the box that we’ve put Him in. And so many times we do, we box Him in so He can’t do marvelous things, beautiful things. And it’s really sad. And I’m guilty of that. Oh, me too. When I’m given a set of rules, then I follow that set of rules to the letter, right? Or if somebody gives me a recipe, well, I can’t say that I follow recipes very well. Now, your mom can say that because I follow recipes by the teaspoonful and by the cupful. I just saw you in my house, just dump this and dump that. I dump. I said, how much Kimberly, oh, just a little on this and a little on that. And you’ve always been like that. And you make gorgeous, beautiful, delicious dishes. And so we’re also different. And we see, and God sees us as different. He wants that difference. You talk about diversity. God loves that colorful difference in each and every one of us. But not in a political– Being willing to accept the differences is the precious part of it. You know, instead of having to stick to a law that everybody does the exact same thing and it’s this cookie cutter way of getting us all, you know, that feels or very much looks to me like the Nazi way. We’re all going to have the blonde hair, the blue eyes. We’re all going to march exactly like this. We’re all going to do, right? You know, and not receiving the diversity. So being able to break down that letter of the law in order to receive diversity, sometimes there’s forgiveness that has to happen in that because when the law is broken, well, you know what, we have laws in place to protect each other. And when that law is broken and the protection is taken away, you can feel very vulnerable and wounded. You can feel wounded by that. And forgiveness is the way to reconcile. Forgiveness is the way to bring beauty from the ashes. That’s right. That our Lord will be the one who has the vengeance, who takes out vengeance and will protect his own. This morning, I was just getting ready to get into the car. And four months, Kimberly, and you know, I’ve been thinking about, what am I going to do about that dead pine tree in my yard? And it’s tall, but it’s dead. And for months, I’ve been thinking about it, thinking about it, should I call it? Because you get lots of leaflets when you’re in my in Denver. And I was just walking out the door this morning. And this gentleman, he comes up to me and broken English. I could hardly understand him, but God has such a sense of humor. And he said, I can cut that down. I can cut that down. And I said, well, I’m going to work right now. And I saw this big truck and this grinder behind it. And I said, come tomorrow morning at nine o’clock. Because he gave me such a great price. I was thinking it was going to cost Bukhubucks. And that’s why I was hesitating. Well, he kind of gave me the knuckle, knuckle agreements, you know, with his hand. Yeah, yeah. He said, I’m Alex. And I come tomorrow at nine o’clock. And so as I was driving away, Kimberly, I said, Lord, you have such a creative sense of humor. If Alex comes tomorrow for that price, oh my goodness. I have had met, and you know that, Kimberly. I’ve had many people come into my yard. And they were answers to maybe what I had been mulling over in my brain, over and over and over. And God says, I’m praying about right now. And God says, just rest. I’ve taken care of this. I’ve taken care of this. Well, you know what? That’s less than a minute here, Kimberly. And I guess we’re just going to, oh, it is a minute. It’s ready to be the signal. So I didn’t get to John 20 yet. Right. No, tomorrow. Okay. Okay. Tomorrow. Oh, God bless you. It’s been so good talking about grace and truth is realized through our Lord Jesus Christ. You need grace today. You need truth. Oh, lies are swirling all over the place. You need truth. Oh, go to your Bible. It will give you that truth. You will extract that goodness and the greatness out of the worthless. So thank you so much, Kimberly, for those wonderful words of advice today and the truth. And, yes, great word. Great word. Great way to end that. And we’ll see you tomorrow then, the Lord willing.
