Welcome to Call to Freedom on this windy. It’s gonna get cold folks in Denver, Colorado. I want to thank Rachel for getting me on the air every day. It takes a faithful and diligent person and I remember when Matt had retired or he was talking of retiring and I’m thinking, “Oh, who’s gonna take his place?” ‘Cause he’d been on for so long and Rachel came on board and Rachel, you’ve been just great. Just great. Hands up, yes. Oh, thank you. I love you too. So it’s been a really wonderful relationship of just getting to know the producer of this show. And thank you, Lord, for Rachel. Because if it weren’t for these great producers at the board, you should see this board. It’s huge. And she’s got a big monitor in front of her. If it weren’t for them, we would be lost. I would be lost. So it’s just wonderful to have faithful people working. And I note in this day and age, you don’t see a lot of faithfulness. But you do. There are people going to work every day. They’ve been going to work for years. And we need to thank God for these people. That you go to the fast food place, you go to the bank, you go to places where you need to do your business every day. And there they are, standing there and doing their things. So I’m grateful. I am so grateful. And Ephesians 1.4 says, “He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” That’s what He’s looking for. He’s looking for a bride that is holy and blameless. I know we’re getting there. We’re getting there. We’re not quite there, but we’re getting there. You are blessed to dispense for in Him you live and move and have your being. And Chris is still working on getting our programs on the website. And it takes a lot of bringing them over from the old website, from the old webmaster, and getting them into a new program, into new things that are going on. I don’t even know how to say it. But if you go to 670kltt.com/podcast, you’ll get a whole raft of teachers and broadcasters that are going to be teaching. And you might really enjoy going there more because you’re hearing from everybody on KLTT. And go down the list and call to Freedom is there so you can listen to the programs there at 670kltt.com/podcast. And thank you Travis Pander for doing that. That’s a wonderful alternative. Praise the Lord. So today I’m going to be so thankful. It’s like, “Do you hope things will get back to normal after this?” I pray for that, but it won’t. They won’t. Things will not get back to normal. What is normal? I know Kimberly and I’ve talked about what is normal. It’s just a constant flux. It’s what Jesus was talking about in Luke 20 and 21 about the last days and the deception being rampant. And we’re going to see a lot in our nature and it’s not climate change folks. We’re going to see a lot in the nature changing and everything changing because God has His hand in this before Jesus comes back. So he’s coming soon and things are not going to get back to normal so don’t even think of it. And if you’d still like a Voters Guide, I’ve sent several emails out already today. You can go to Barbara Carmack at freedom street.org. One word, lowercase, Barbara Carmack is C-A-R-M-A-C-K. And go there and ask me for a Voters Guide and I will email. Leave your email address or if you have it, well, of course you’ll have it there. And I will email you that Voters Guide because it’s just getting late. It’s getting late for a there. I’m late. I’m late for a very important date. I think that’s from Alice in Wonderland anyway. Oh my, I don’t know why I’m thinking of this stuff. My mind goes everywhere. Oh, okay. Oh my goodness. It’s been, don’t ask me how long it’s been since I saw Alice in Wonderland in the 50s. Oh, our memory verse for today. And I want to get into the situation that Jeremiah was in when God told him this scripture, when God gave him this wonderful promise. And some of you may be really in dire straits. You may be in a place where you’d think nothing is going to work for you that everything is impossible. Remember nothing is too difficult for God. And that’s Jeremiah 32 18. Thank you, Lord, for Jeremiah. But in Jeremiah 29, 10 and 11, and this is the New American standard for thus says the Lord when 70 years have been completed for Babylon. Why 70 years? They were in captivity because they didn’t keep the Sabbath. Remember, this is an Old Testament. God is a judge here. This is before Jesus. Our wonderful Savior and Lord came and brought grace and peace and everything that we enjoy today. I will visit you and fulfill my good word to you and bring you back to this place, which he has. We’ve seen it since May of 1948. Israel is back in their place. They’re not at peace yet, but they’re going to be. For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord plans for welfare, for well-being, and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. And then from the living translation, Jeremiah 29, 11 through 14. Oh, I pray that you will get to memorize Jeremiah 29, 11 because when you feel like you’re in a fix, that nothing is going to work out for you. Oh, when you say Jeremiah 29, 11, oh, Lord, I know that your plans for me are for a well-being and for well-doing and for wonderful peace in my life and not for calamity or not for disaster. Lord, to give me a hope in a future, if you can just say it in your words, you don’t have to say it according to the New American Standard or the living. You just talk to God, just say it to God. And here in the living it says, for I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. And verse 12 of Jeremiah 29 says, in those days, and these are those days, when you pray, I will listen, if you look for me wholeheartedly, not here, not there, not left, not right, not going to some world system to get your answers. Wholeheartedly, you look for me, you will find me, I will be found by you says the Lord, I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes, praise God. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land. God kept his promise. Are we keeping our word to him that we trust him, that we’re in the Bible every day, that we’re reading his word, that we’re praying every day? I hope so friend, I really do. My confession for today by Rick Renner, I confess that I wear my salvation tightly around my mind like a helmet. When the enemy tries to attack my mind and chop away at the benefits of my salvation, his attacks are completely ineffective. My mind is convinced of all that salvation means for me and my mind is trained and taught to think correctly according to the knowledge of the one who created me. Therefore, the knowledge of my salvation becomes a helmet in my life. It doesn’t matter how hard the devil tries to hack away at my mind, I still stand strong because I know what Jesus’ death and resurrection purchase for me. I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name. When I watch football games, I see the blows that are taken by these players on both sides. And Sunday, as I watch the Broncos, wow, I mean all the hits, all the slams, and then hitting the ground and their helmets protect their heads from disastrous things. Now I know some have gone down and have had concussions and they’re out of the game for a while. But protecting our minds against injury and that injury is anything that the enemy tries to throw at us. That helmet of salvation will keep you safe from giving in to the enemy’s threats and his things that are coming against you. Now the mindset on the flesh is death. The mindset on the spirit is life and peace. When you set your mind on the flesh on things in this worldly system, it’s death, it’s destruction for you. The mindset on the spirit is life and peace. That’s from Romans 8 verse 6. Set your mind on things above and not on things on the earth. Set your mind on things above and not on things on the earth. That’s from Colossians 3 verse 2. So when we look at earthly things, we’re going to be like Jesus. Jesus didn’t judge by what he saw or make decisions by what he heard. He heard from God his father and that’s what the in the direction that he went and that’s where we want to go. In 2 Corinthians 4 13 through 18 Paul is saying here having the same spirit of faith according to what is written, I believe therefore I spoke. See what you believe in what is in your heart is going to come out of your mouth. You either believe negatives. This world is going to crash. It’s coming down. Well, one day it is. It’s going to be on fire. It’s going to burn and be refined. Hallelujah. Be refined. That’s from Psalm 116 verse 10. We also believe therefore we also speak knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to a bound to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart but though our outer man is decaying it looks like things are falling apart yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. Praise the Lord. All things that we see we’re really not going to put a whole lot of substance into the things we see. That’s why I want to get into the historical and political background of Jeremiah’s world. It’s really interesting. You ask is God interested in politics? Well, some of you don’t believe that. But why do you believe that our forefathers were willing to give their lives for this new government? They were in the middle of writing a brand new constitution, a democratic republic constitution that the future generations would live by. Why were they willing to sacrifice? Well, I believe the politics is intertwined in our daily lives. You go to the gas station where when you pump gas and it’s $3.75 a gallon, it’s not up there anymore in Colorado. But you’re involved in the politics of the administration of the United States. Now I’d rather they be down to $2.00 a gallon like when Donald Trump was in office. I much prefer that than spending the $40 for a tank of gas or $45. So is God really into politics? He certainly is. The prophet Habakkuk tells us of God’s hand behind the Caldien invasion and that’s Babylon into Judah and that’s Habakkuk 1 verse 6. “Behold, I am raising up the Caldians, the Babylonians to seize dwelling places that are not theirs.” It was in God’s wonderful sovereignty that he had to punish Israel and he did that with much love but with judgment. Isaiah tells us of the Persian ruler Cyrus who is to carry out God’s plans for Israel’s return from exile. And thus says the Lord God to Cyrus, his anointed Cyrus, his anointed Cyrus was an ungodly Persian ruler. And God says here in Isaiah 45, “I’ll go ahead of you, Cyrus clearing and paving the road. I’ll break down bronze city gates, smash padlocks, kick down barred entrances. I’ll lead you to buried treasures and secret caches of valuables. Confirmations that it is I, in fact, God, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name. And it took someone like Cyrus to break up that country of Judah and the country of Israel and take them into captivity. I know it sounds awful. And if God was a judging God today, we’d all be in captivity. I have a feeling we all would be. Because God says in verse 4 of Isaiah 45, “It’s because of my dear servant Jacob.” He’s remembering Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. “Israel my chosen that I’ve singled you out, called you by name, and given you this privileged work, and you don’t even know me.” Oh God is keeping you safe, my friend. Are you calling him by name? Are you saying thank you, Lord? Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Oh thank you, Lord, for making me whole. And look at what’s happening in the Middle East right now. It is not merely a battle between dissatisfied groups or progressives or fanatics, sorting out the nations in that part of the world. It is all taking place under the watchful eye of the Lord of the nations as much as it was in the times of Jeremiah. Only then the Prophet spelled out specific reasons. Jeremiah was in a state of total unrest. You’d think it’s chaotic now. You would just like to go away somewhere and be at rest for a week or so. No, it was terror on every side in Jeremiah. I want to begin reading in Jeremiah before we get back to the 29th chapter. It’s just so good here. He’s now being accused of being unlawful, of going against all of Judah and the priesthood, and he is like a thief and a criminal, and it kind of reminds me of Donald J. Trump when they had him in court, and they accused him of all these things which he did not do. Because of a crooked judge, he was indicted and found guilty. Wow, it sounds so much like right now in Jeremiah 20 verse 1 through 10. Now, Pasha, the priest in charge of the temple. Here’s a priest, the man who is anointed to be priest in the temple of God, and he is dishonest and he is corrupt. Now, Pasha, the priest in charge of the temple of the Lord, heard what Jeremiah was prophesying. Jeremiah was prophesying God’s goodness to the people that if they would just give in and go to captivity that God would restore them, and you will realize that people like Daniel, like Azariah, Hannah, and I, and Michelle, they were all captives, and God gave them favor in the government where they were captives. So God is promising this to the people who are loyal to him. So verse 2 in Jeremiah 20 says, “So Pasha, arrest a Jeremiah of the Prophet, had him whipped.” You know, it just says it simply, had him whipped. Oh my goodness. Can you imagine the whipping? It’s like the 39 stripes that Jesus went through, and at the theater when I was watching the movie, I said, “Darren, when’s it going to stop?” And he said, “Well, it’s 39 stripes, Barbara.” And so we had to sit there through 39 stripes. And so he whipped Jeremiah, put him in stocks at the Benjamin Gate of the Lord’s Temple. Now, if you’re whipped, and you’re bleeding, and your back is raw, and then you’re put in stocks. Do you know how it’s going to feel? Oh, we just heard a finger or a toe or something, and we think it’s major, major. No, the next day when Pashaure finally released him. 24 hours later, Jeremiah said, “Pashaure, the Lord has changed your name. From now on, you are to be called the man who lives in terror.” Because Pashaure was doing this out of fear. I know that some of you have not voted because you’re fearful. You have not voted maybe because you’re lazy. You have not voted because you’re comfortable. But we’ve got to be proactive, friend. Remember that that faith word, that that active word, is a verb. It’s not a noun. So verse 4 of Jeremiah 20, “For this is what the Lord says, and this is given right to Pashaure the priest. I will send terror upon you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon. And I will let your enemies plunder Jerusalem, all the famed treasures of the city. The precious jewels and gold and silver of your kings will be carried off by Babylon.” And you know that several kings of Judah and Israel showed these heathen kings, all of the jewels, all of the treasury. They didn’t keep anything back from this enemy. As for you, Pashaure, you and all your household will go as captives to Babylon. There you will die and be buried. You and all your friends to whom you prophesied that everything would be all right. See, that’s what he was telling the people. This ungodly priest was saying, “Everything’s going to be all right. We’re going to have a great country here, and nothing’s going to happen.” Well, then Jeremiah cried out to the Lord. In verse 7 of Jeremiah 20, “O Lord, you misled me. Sometimes we think that. If things aren’t going well, oh Lord, what have you done to me? How could you have turned these things around for me? That I’m not seeing what is good and what is righteous and the future that is bright. But don’t be misled by things that are happening out in the physical. You overpowered me, Lord. Now I am mocked every day, everyone laughs at me. When I speak, the words burst out, violence and destruction I shout. So these messages from the Lord have made me a household joke. But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak His name, His word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones. I am worn out trying to hold it in. I can’t do it. I have heard the many rumors about me. They call me the man who lives in terror. They threaten. If you say anything, we will report you. Just look at the people that went peacefully on January 6th to the Capitol to have a peaceful time before the Capitol. And some of these ruffians that came in, and I believe it was from the West, yes I do. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I believe that. And now those people, over 300 I believe are in jail and they have been reported by other people. It’s happening today folks. This is happening right now. If you say anything, we’ll report it. Even my old friends are watching me waiting for a fatal slip. He will trap himself and then we will get our revenge on him. You think things are bad for you right now? Oh friend, God has a plan and he’s going to see his divine plan through to the end. Our God is a holy God. I want you to remember that here’s city of light. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh praise God only a holy God. Oh only a holy God. Remember friend, world history is very much his story. His story is world history. So don’t worry. Jesus says in Luke 21 verse 14 and 15, “My grace will never desert you or depart from your life.” And by standing firm with patient endurance, you will find your soul’s deliverance. Be careful that you never allow your hearts to grow cold. Oh friend, don’t become comfortable in your living. Get proactive and I’m asking any of you who have not voted to go out there, take that proactive stand and do what God has called you to do to be a patriotic American. Remain passionate and free from anxiety and the worries of this life. Keep a constant watch over your soul and pray for the courage and grace to prevail over these things that are destined to occur. And that you will stand before the presence of the Son of Man with a clear conscience. Oh that’s what I want. I desire that. Oh it’s a wonderful thing to know that you’re standing before God and He says well done, thou good and faithful servant. I pray that you can say that right before Him as you stand before our God who is no longer the judge but He’s a merciful and loving Father. God bless you.
