In this episode of Call to Freedom, Barbara Carmack and Darren share inspiring testimonies of God’s miraculous provision and the power of obedience in giving. Special guest Linda shares her journey as a widow navigating financial hardships and how planting a $50 seed in faith transformed her circumstances. From a financial breakthrough to receiving unexpected groceries and even the gift of a piano, Linda’s story highlights how God blesses those who trust Him with their resources.
Barbara and Darren also discuss the importance of respecting offerings as holy, leaning on God during trials, and cultivating faith in His provision. They

Today, Darren and I talk to Linda who has been recently widowed and she had many bills to pay in a car to repair. When the Lord told Linda to give what she had, she said, “But Lord, the $50 is all that I have for groceries for the next two weeks.” But Linda obeyed God and gave the $50 in the offering. It’s so important to realize that when you give an offering that God has asked you to give, then he is obligated by his name to supply your every need according to his riches in Christ Jesus. Linda had so many needs and freely gave all that she had because she respected and treated as holy the offering that she gave to the Lord. And then God went to work on her behalf. God opened the windows of heaven and poured out his provision to supply all that she needed. You will be blessed as you listen to Linda’s praise report. You can experience blessings in your own life and have the assurance that God will take care of you fully and completely. I hope that you have confidence in God to expand your dominion with blessing and prosperity in your giving. Enjoy the program. Well, we’re looking forward to a powerful day today and I have to tell you, I was so blessed last night when we were, we just tuned in to Benny Hen for a little bit there. Barbara, in fact, you tuned in. I walked into the bedroom and you had it on. You know, sometimes the spirit actually tells me to turn on the television and I just, I was getting ready for bed and it’s like he said, turn on the television. And we know that Benny Hen is on almost every night and they’re doing the worship, the praise and worship was Terry McCallum and it was such a blessing to see him again and you and I had visited with he and his wife in Colorado Springs several years ago and it’s been some wilderness area for Terry. It was just such a blessing to see him up there worshiping God in that huge conference of people and tears rolling down the people’s cheeks. It was a blessing. Oh, it was such a blessing. I knew that God had a work for Terry. He’s got such a precious spirit. Well, we had lunch with him to encourage him. We also asked him, do you have anything on tape of your keyboard and your voice and your music that you’ve written at that point? He didn’t have. And last night they were advertising a CD. We’re going to get that. We’re going to get it, yes. So Terry McCallum is right there and I was very curious to see how well he worked with Benny Hen. He’s like their spirits were just in sync and of course they’re both tapped into Holy Spirit and that’s the reason. It was so beautiful. Perseverance does. Perseverance pays off. I listen to some of you have been calling and ask, what is that Bible that you guys have? Now, I’m not going to give it to you now. Get your pencil and after we take this phone call on here, I’m going to ask Barbara to give that to you one more time. One more time. So listen up and make sure you get that because it will be an awesome thing to have in your library. Hi, Linda. Hi, Darren Barb. Hi, Linda. I heard your show yesterday and I wanted to call in today in the Lord’s and Glory here. Oh, your testimony during the seminar was such a blessing for all of us there and so we knew the people on the radio would enjoy hearing. Now so many, your husband died and went to be with the Lord a year ago was it last week. And you had, you know, when we are widowed and I know what you’re going through, there are struggles. Not only the adjustment, but the bills keep coming and you don’t have, you have one less provider there. And so you did call probably six months ago and you called because your granddaughter had a birthday right? And you also said that you had been late on the house payment. Well, our listeners were so generous and blessed you with such a great offering. Now you can tell them how God is blessed you again. But it’s not my testimony. It’s a testimony of God’s glory and power and love and provision. Oh, great. You know, I’m so thankful for the family of God and they’ve carried me through. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for everybody’s prayers and, you know, and I just, I’m just really, it’s not my testimony, it’s his testimony. You know, when you stood up in the seminar on Saturday, I believe that was the 17th. And you said, “You’re going to day my husband died.” You know, that had such an impact on that crowd and then what you said about the Lord’s provision really blessed all of us. But anyway, don’t let me interrupt again. You go ahead, share with us. I don’t even remember the holidays last year. I was just numb that the Lord said He was going to walk me through it and I said, “Lord, I don’t want to walk through it. I want to run through it.” And He said, “No, we’re going to walk through it together.” And He said, “It was lying upon line, precept on precept.” And I’ve just let Him, I’ve turned everything over to Him. And because of prayers and people holding me up, I’ve been able to hang in there, to stick with it. And then so I’m going to back up to set, God bless me August with offering. And I’ll set timber. I was a pretty bad shape. And you were having that seminar and the breaks had gone out of my car. I was just a mess. I knew I had to get to that meeting. I had to get under that covering and get some agreement prayer. So I borrowed a car that night, that Friday night and I went to the meeting. I got lost on the way there. I was just shaking. Everything went wrong. The car was on empty. I didn’t have any money. I had a couple of dollars. There’s no stations around there if you’ve noticed. Finally I found one that sat, brother, Scott some gas. Went to the meeting and I was just, oh, I was just shaking. I just got to get here. So I pulled up the parking lot and there was a man there and he waved at me and I thought, “Great, somebody thinks they know me.” But no one knows me around here. I’m in a strange place and I thought, “I gotta get in there and I ran and it was done.” And I grabbed him. I was so glad to see somebody I knew. I ran into the meeting. I was hugging everybody. I was just so glad to be there. But the Lord was ministering to me and I was getting some strength and my faith was coming back. And then in October, well, after the meeting in that week, so when blessed me and I got my break fixed. Oh, praise the Lord. So in October I went back and all I had was $50 in my pocket and I was telling the Lord, you know, Lord, if you haven’t noticed, I’m in trouble here, big time. And I was sitting there and he said, “Lord, he told me he said, give me your money.” And I thought, “What money? I don’t have any money. All I had was $50 in my pocket. That was my grocery money for two weeks and I prayed over that that the Lord was going to multiply and it was going to be enough and all. But when you’re under that covering, under the knowing, you do what the Lord tells you to do. And I stuck that $50 in there as a seed. Wow. But then the meantime, I had got, maybe I could refinance the house. So I told some people to pray for me. Helen was praying for me. And the Lord gave her a name and we set up an appointment and they said, “Oh, Linda, when you’re a finances, there’s no way that we can get you a good loan. Maybe we could just get what you owe finance but can’t pay your bills off.” And I thought, “Well, I’ll do whatever they can do. I’ll do that.” But I felt like the Lord was paying for me. I planted that seed in the next week that day with Saturday and Monday they called and said, “Well, we got your loan through to come in and find the papers.” So I went in not knowing exactly what it was but they prayed for their praesal and all and they gave me a tremendous appraisal on the house. They got, they financed me with a 6.5% loan, cut my house, pay me a half. Pay all my bills off and I know it was that seed. I turned it over to the Lord. I just turned everything I had over to the Lord and he multiplied it and it’s still coming in. So the Friday before, they said, “Oh, we don’t think we can help you with the thing they built off.” And then Saturday you planted the seed and Monday they totally turned 180 degrees. Yes. I was shocked. I mean, I knew it had to be the Lord. I know people get loans and everything but my situation was horrible and they said it was impossible but that scripture, what’s impossible for me is possible with God. Oh, I see. God. And I can’t say then, I felt like the Lord was leading me there and everything worked out. It just fell in place and it was that seed I planted. I know he was going to do a work in me but there’s something about when you plant that seed, it opens the door for the Lord to turn things around. It was a miracle. It was just so smooth and so great. I mean, the people that helped me in the loan place, you could see it in their eyes. They didn’t know what was going on because they said impossible. Well, and tell us about now, you had saved the $50 for grocery. Right. What happened? That morning I put that $50 in there and then I walked out of the meeting and I thought, “Oh my gosh, what did I do?” No groceries. But I come home and there was someone here who said, “I’m going to San Scom Club. Come and go with me and I’ll buy you some groceries.” And they bought me $200 worth of groceries that day. So that $50, I mean, I got way more than I ever planned with that $50. Right. Oh, that’s just, that’s filled my heart to overflowing for you. And then when all that other came to me, I mean, I can’t impress on people enough that see how precious that is to the Lord. And he honors that. It’s his and he’s responsible for it. And I mean, you can’t go wrong. It’s better than putting your money in a slot machine. I mean, there’s no it’s in it. That’s right. So you’re telling us that this stuff works? It works. It works. Well, you know, you’ve been so special to watch you and your faith walk and you have a gift of faith. I’ve told you that a lot of times. But you know, it’s tested. You know, God will allow us to be tested because He wants to build those spiritual muscles up there. But you know, when a widow stands up in the meeting and she said, “You know, I’ve been widowed for a year and God’s kept me going through this year and you know, and to see what you’ve done is just, you know, that blesses me and Barbara just a minute.” And you blessed the people in the seminar. I don’t know, thank you for being vulnerable just saying, “Here’s where I was. Here’s what happens. Here’s what God did.” Thank you so much for sharing. So, Garmin, you know, I’ve watched this ministry for years and I’ve always been interested in the offering and I watch you receive that offering and the way you handle it, it’s precious and it’s holy. Oh, it is. And I watch you, how you take care of you, watch over it. This ministry watches over that seed and prays over it in the materials and all. It just, it blesses me and what I’ve learned this last year is what you give to the Lord is holy. Right. And you need to plant that into a ministry that respects that and keeps it and watches over it and I’ve just been so blessed by that. Well, we know we’re stewards of not only this air time, but the dollars that come in and, you know, we have to believe in and matter of fact, I took a check to the radio station today, we try to pay our, we used to pay it every week and that got to be burdensome. So now we pay it every other week. But we pay it, you know, and we have to stand in faith and, you know, well, it is. It’s a stewardship responsibility and we don’t dare take that lightly or flippantly and we never do. And many times, you know, we just in the office and at home and driving, we just thank God for our partners that are standing there so faithfully. God gave us two hands, one to give and one to receive. That is so good. If you don’t want one shorter than the other, you want to balance there and I’ve learned it in this last year, no matter what you’re going through, don’t ever pull that hand back that gives. Well, you know, that’s, you could have kept the fifty dollars which had chosen to plant and God right away, just within hours turned around and blessed you with groceries. I know. It’s pretty awesome. It reminds me of the widow that put in the widow’s might in the New Testament. And Jesus said she gave more than all the rest of it. That’s right. And also when Elijah came to Zerafath and he says, give me what you have and she was getting ready to die. And but she fixed him a little sandwich and I’ll tell you that takes a lot of faith and you threw in the money that was going to fix you a little sandwich. It’s a little sandwich, but I got a big meal out of it. He doesn’t hold a gun to your head and say, give me your money. You know, he says, come on, give me your money. Come on, I know what to do with it. I can take care. I’m going to multiply it. I’m going to multiply it. That’s right. You know, very honestly, Linda, some of our listeners have withheld their money since September 11th and you know, that’s a sad thing. Not only for ministries like ours, but for the people. They need to plant because we exist on the seed concept. And if we don’t plant a seed, we won’t have a harvest. We don’t have a harvest, we can’t bear a bill. And it’s hard. And God does condemn us for it. He knows that. He knows how important money is in this world and all. But you’ve got to trust him. The hardest thing you can ever do is make that decision. Once you make that decision, it’s done. He went overboard to bless you. Oh, he sure did. I love him so much. Oh, man. I’m still blessed. Have you ever had a desire in your heart that you’ve never shared with anyone? But you know, it’s not a God but no because he looks at your heart. I had one. I’ve had it for years. And I’ve never asked or told anybody or prayed for it. Just a little desire for him since childhood. Well, last week someone blessed me. They gave me a piano. Oh, Linda. What a wonderful thing. A nice piano. And it was a heart’s desire. I’ve never shared. Let me ask you a question. Would you let us have it tuned for you? Oh, I sure would. We have a wonderful piano tune for the country of our home in Tunes, our piano. Wonderful. Oh, okay. Because it does need to be tuned. But there’s not a scratch on it. It’s got to be the Holy Spirit. Well, we’ll get ahold of him for you and have him call you. And my daughter can play it already. We’ve had it a week. And he’s been playing some, you know, a last song. It’s really blessed me in our home. Just a little of it now. God is so good. We’ll get ahold of our tuner in that joy. Well, God bless you. What a great tune. I’m going to stick close to you because you’re walking the blessings. Oh, well, that’s because I’ve been under some wonderful teaching. Well, you’ve been a good student. I was walking down the hall at work the other day. This lady, she’s a job of witness. She looked at me. She says, “There’s that rich lady.” And I just thought, “Oh, if you only knew how rich I was, not because of money or things, because of the family of God, the people in my life, it’s made me rich.” Well, bless your heart. Your husband’s testimony is still on the website, isn’t it? Yes, it is. And you tune in because you want to hear his voice, don’t you? Yep. Okay. I want to hear him. I want to hear him for still praise and love. That will be on our website as long as we’re here. As long as we’re here. Now, let me give you that website, folks. It’s DarrenLive.org, www.daringlive.org. And it goes to the page, and we call it an infomerical page. There are several miracles on there. But Gene’s voice is on there. And Gene had one of the most phenomenal creative miracles I’ve ever seen. But we prayed for him. We watched his head move out about 3/8 of an inch and the pain that had been there for 20 years went away. And you will enjoy that test. I will enjoy that. I will enjoy that. One verse from Ezekiel 34 verse 26 for you today. If you’ll look that up, that’s for you. What was it? Ezekiel 34 verse 26. I sure will. Okay. We’ve got to read that. We’ve got a lot of listeners who say what is it? And I will make you and the places around you a blessing and I will call the showers to come down in their season and they will be showers of blessing. Amen. I heard you read that last night. I explained that. Okay. I don’t know where that’s what happened to me right now. It’s not going to stop. Jesus name. Well Linda, thank you for calling in. I took off work to just do this. You took a personal day. Thank you. Half a day. Well bless your heart. We love you. I love you guys too. God bless. Bye. Well, let’s talk to Joyce. Hi Joyce. Hello. Thank you for being so patient. Oh, yes. I have a praise report and then I have, I guess, a comment or something else to say. You know, I had talked to you and I brought about two months ago about my husband not Tywin. Yes. He decided to start Tywin on his own. I just want to share that with you. That little boy is going to get blessed. Oh, yes. And he’s having some problems and I want to ask for prayer for him. He’s having a problem. He had a hernia operation last year. And now the mesh that put an area is pressing down on his nerves and the doctors want to do a surgery but I don’t feel this necessary. And I just want to tell you, I had talked to you, I think about two weeks ago about my daughter. And after I got off the phone, I was hearing some comments about, you know, how we raise our kids and stuff. But I must say we raised our kids in the church. They’ve been in church, if it’s not, they were babies. And I just don’t understand what was going on with her because we’ve done all we could for her. We read to her. We prayed for her and I feel like sometimes it’s my fault but I know it’s not my fault that things have happened because we’ve done all we could. Do you know something? There’s no such thing as a perfect parent. No. Except Father God himself. That’s right. And I think we parents need to sometimes sit down and just say I did my best but Lord I still wasn’t perfect. And I need to be forgiven. And I need me to forgive me and to roll that guilt off of me because in many cases, Joyce, it’s false guilt. And the devil tries to torment us and say, you are a lousy mother. You have a lousy father, you know, and that’s why your kids are going to stay in it. But there’s a scripture that says if you train them up in the ways of the Lord when they get old, they will not depart from it. That’s right. So you know if your daughter is temporarily off the track and let’s call it temporary, I’m believing you hang on to that scripture. She’ll come back. Yes. So can I pray against that guilt? Oh, yeah. Father God in the name of Jesus is not only Joyce but for many others that are listening today. They’re going on regret and remorse and false guilt and Lord that false guilt has the same impact on us as real true guilt. So right now I’m asking you Jesus to reach down and just scoop that away. Take it away. And Lord, I believe today that Joyce by an active oil wants to say, Lord Jesus, I ask for your forgiveness to forgive myself and release myself and to release my husband and release us as a couple. And Lord Jesus, I’m calling our daughter’s wandering temporary. And I say, Jesus, and your powerful name that she’s going to come back to the way that we’ve taught her. We brought her up in. Thank you, Jesus, for hearing this prayer and for performing this surgery today. Amen. Now Joyce, do you have our tape on binding and losing? I don’t think I have that one. You’ve sent me maybe two. I don’t think I have that one. All right. Leave your address with Jeff after this. And I will send that to you. It’s really important that you bind some of those evil spirits or pressing your daughter. That’s one thing you can do as a mom even with our adult children. We can pray and bind those evil spirits away from them and then lose those spirits of truth and peace for your daughter. And a thirst for righteousness. Yes, now when you pray, get real honest with the Lord. Oh, yes. You know, if it’s some kind of sexual sin, call it what it is. If it’s if she’s a thief, call it what it is. If she’s a liar, call it. That’s right. Say, Lord, I bind the spirit of lying as an example, as a spirit of theft and you know, go right down the line. Yeah. And you know, sometimes we parents want to gloss it over, but don’t do that when you pray. Okay. All right. And we do have that trial date tomorrow again. I hit action. You pray for me about that. Now keep your post on that. Okay. You know, God’s going to deliver those. Oh, I know He will. Yes. Okay. Leave your address. Okay. Okay. Thank you very much. One more thing. We love you. Thank you. Hold on. All right. We can get that. Before I take this next phone call, give us the information on the Bible. Oh, this Bible that Darin and I use is called a key study Bible. And all footnotes and all center columns and all of the concordants in the back. I have been done by Dr. Zodiotis. His name is Spiros Zodiotis. Z-O-D-H-I-A-T-E-S. He’s a Greek scholar. So therefore I take that New Testament, whatever he has in the footnotes and the New Testament and also in the back there. I take that very literally because he has studied so much. Okay. Now he’s a Greek expert in Greek scholar. Give us the specific name for this Bible. It’s a key study. Key study Bible. Key study Bible. And we, Darin and I use the New American Standard. It also is in the King James and I know the NIV. But we appreciate the pronouns capitalized in the New American Standard. Now when you go to Amazon.com, ask for it by key study Bible. Okay. And one person emailed and said, “Where’s that $50 Bible?” Well, I don’t know if it’s exactly $50. It’s close to that. But check with Amazon. I think you can get it for that. Yes. Or at the ark and it’s about $70. Give yourself a great Christmas present or your husband or wife or son or daughter. Right. And they will carry it around for always. Let’s say if you’re in Denver, our one Christian bookstore here that’s over on sixth and federal, you can get it there. We’ve bought many copies there. And if they don’t have it in stock, it’s your Christian bookstore asking the order. And who puts that out, Barbara? What publisher? Is that AMG International? I think it is. AMG International. Okay. God bless you and let’s take this phone call. Hi, Christie. Hi, guys. How are you? Super. How are you? I’m fine. I’m basically calling. God is taking me in both my son Jeffrey up to higher levels. Okay. And I just want everybody to pray as I don’t know if you received my letter or not. But I’m going to be leading a women’s ministry at our church. Yes. And my first meeting is going to be December 8th. And I just want everyone to pray for me that I will just always hear God’s voice. And so that this will be his ministry so that we can reach out not only to the women in our church, but to the women all over. And it will bring glory to God. One thing real quick about Jeff, he came, was able to come home for Thanksgiving. And during that snow storm that we had, I believe it was Sunday night. He was having a friend come over. And he was very concerned because of weather conditions. Well, when I turned around, he had his Bible out praying for her. Good. That’s a miracle. We’ve struggled so hard. And I’ll tell you, he’s reaching out to God knowing and dying to himself and coming more to God. And after all we’ve been through that, that’s awesome. You’ve been through a bunch of junk with him, haven’t you? Yes, sir. Now what ministry has he been with? My son? Yes. No, he’s not, he’s in the army. Oh, okay, okay. I thought maybe he was with teen challenge for a while. He was. Okay. Then he went into the army and God has just done awesome things for him in the army. He was awesome. I’ll take that devil. Yeah, exactly. And what he did, he’s out. We hit back seven times. So he is obviously going to be a preacher, I guess. Well, it could be. God took some scoundrels in the Bible and made them wonderful. One of them was Paul. Yes, sir. And Paul was a real scoundrel. He says, “I sin more than all of you.” That’s right. Make sure, a Christy, that everything that you teach has foundations in the scripture. Make sure that everything you say to the women can be, there’s a scripture available for that. And that will always keep you on the right road. Right. Well, and I can’t even remember what scripture was when I was praying. And Lord gave me that scripture where it says, “Take care of those that I put into your care. Do not be greedy for money, but do it as service unto God.” Were you reading like in Timothy? It might have been in the right below that where he says, “Humble yourself unto God, and heal, exalt you in due time.” Oh, now that’s James. Okay, that was in James. Okay. But here’s what you want to do. I think it was James 5, 2, and 6. Okay, well, check it here. The barbs already got her Bible open here. I think that’s where it was James 5, 2, and 6. No, it wasn’t. But here’s what you need to do. Instead of saying to the ladies, it’s in there somewhere. I know. You’re teaching with a lot more credibility, make your notes, and say it is, “This is the verse I’m standing on, or I’m presenting to you today,” or, you know, the truth, or three verses, or whatever. And, you know, you’ll do well, because God watches over his Word to perform it. Love you, Christy. I love you, guys, too. Okay, God bless you. Bye. Oh, God’s doing great things. We’ve got one minute left, Barbara. Yes. Isn’t God good? Oh, he’s good. I love these pressure reports. We woke up in the middle of the night. It was probably four o’clock. And I’ve been going through some really emotional things lately. And you were saying, “Barbara, are you carrying some guilt, some false guilt, maybe? Just some kind of guilt? Some junk. And we all have to go in and stand before the Lord and examine ourselves. The Word says to examine yourself. And so there early in the morning here, we were lying in bed, and you were ministering to me, and just ministering off the junk that had billed off. And built up. And sometimes, Darin, it builds up in layers. We have a little failure here, or a little problem here, or a little relationship problem here, or a child calling and saying, “This is a problem.” And they all start piling up, and they get so deep, you can’t even see the sunshine. But, oh, God is so faithful. And after you pray that, yes, praise God. We love you. Even words at home. I’m so blessed. Thank you for listening to Call to Freedom with Barbara Carmack.
