It’s that fun age of five and two where they just… We were at the zoo the other day, a month ago, while it was still kind of nice, and walk up to the penguin exhibit, and I turn and look, and my two-year-old is licking the glass. And you’re like, well, something might be going through the family here soon.

I actually had somebody that years ago was a lady that did my hair, and she was a great hairdresser. and she would bring her little kids in, but there was stuff everywhere. And I was talking with someone else, and we were talking about the kids there, and just there was licking banisters kind of stuff. She said, I don’t think those children will ever have a cold. I get it, though. I had one that licked a banister once, and I was just aghast.

And you know it’s funny, because you trade that, and then we went and saw Christmas lights last night. And just from the backseat of the truck, you just hear, oh, wow. And it’s just a magical time with them, where just everything’s new. Every day’s the greatest day ever. Oh, that’s such a cute age.

Yeah, so it sounds like we’ll have a little Christmas theme going in hour one and two. We got Jingle Bells in hour two, and then obviously was reading The Nightmare Before Christmas with my kids and kind of inspired this recent essay, The Nightmare Before Liberty.

Okay, well, we will get into it. Our word of the day. is admonish, and I got that from Gammy. I was talking with her yesterday, and somehow the word admonish came up, and it’s spelled A-D-M-O-N-I-S-H. And number one, the definition could be to counsel another against something to be avoided or warn that something is dangerous. Number two, to urge or exhort someone to do something. Number three, to remind someone of something forgotten or disregarded as an obligation or responsibility. And that’s from the American Heritage Dictionary. And so let’s get in here to the quote of the day. as you know on fridays we do a quote from the medal of honor quote book that you can purchase from the center for american values and uh they’re they’re really great quotes from our medal of honor recipients this is from gary l latrell united states army medal of honor he was born in 1944 actions that he took on April 4 through April 8, 1970. And first of all, Alan, let’s give his citation. So why don’t you begin with that?

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, Sergeant First Class Luttrell, U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, Advisory Team 21, distinguished himself while serving as a Light Weapons Infantry Advisor with the 23rd Battalion, 2nd Ranger Group, Republic of Vietnam Army near Doc Sayong. After establishing a defensive perimeter on a hill on 4 April, the battalion was subjected to an intense enemy mortar attack, which killed the Vietnamese commander, one advisor, and seriously wounded all the advisors except Sergeant First Class Luttrell. During the ensuing four days, Sergeant First Class Luttrell exhibited near superhuman endurance as he single-handedly bolstered the besieged battalion. Repeatedly abandoning positions of relative safety, he directed artillery and air support by day and marked the unit’s location by night, despite the heavy, concentrated enemy fire. His dauntless will instilled the men of the 23rd Battalion a deep desire to resist.
SPEAKER 08 :
Assault after assault was repulsed as the battalion responded to the extraordinary leadership and personal example exhibited by Sergeant First Class Luttrell as he continuously moved to the joyous points most seriously threatened by the enemy, redistributed ammunition, strengthened faltering defenses, cared for the wounded, and shouted encouragement to the Vietnamese in their own language. When the beleaguered battalion was finally ordered to withdraw, numerous ambushes were encountered. Sergeant First Class Luttrell repeatedly prevented widespread disorder by directing airstrikes to within 50 meters of their position. Through his indomitable courage and complete disregard for his safety, he averted excessive loss of life and injury to the members of the battalion. The sustained extraordinary courage and selflessness displayed by Sergeant First Class Littrell over an extended period of time were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on him and the U.S. Army. Cain, these are actions April 4th through April 8th. Those were some long days.

Yes, ma’am. Yes, ma’am. And I think I love these stories because it shows just the average citizen that we can fight. You can do so much more with your efforts in fighting this evil that exists today. Absolutely.

And his quote is this, to our youth, don’t give in to peer pressure. If it’s wrong, say no. Your peers will respect you for it, and you will be my hero. And so that’s Gary L. Littrell. So headlines, I think our main – well, one headline. Alan, you’re going to love this. From a capitalistic standpoint, you know that Mayor Mike Johnston is all kinds of – The voters of Denver approved almost a billion dollars in new spending, new debt. But the Denver mayor can’t figure out why people don’t want to go down to the 16th Street Mall. It could be because there’s crime and homelessness. But he was out there saying, come on, we have 65 new stores. I don’t think he understands that people may not want to go down there because of the policies that’s going on in Denver.
SPEAKER 12 :
And people vote with their wallets, right? They say, hey, we’re not going to go down there. We don’t feel safe. And it really is sad. I mean, we used to go down to the 16th Street Mall all the time. It was a fun time, especially around this time when the holiday lights are out. So, you know, make your city feel safe and maybe people will want to spend money in it again.
SPEAKER 08 :
So you don’t think that because Mike Johnston invited you down that you’re going to go down there right now, huh?
SPEAKER 12 :
No, not unless he wants to accompany me with some arm support to make sure I’m safe.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s a simple proposition. Roll back that whole rule that allows homeless people to live on the street. It used to be against the law to take up a tent and park right on a corner or an island or something like that. Hey, Mike Johnston, whatever your name is, roll it back, my friend. Stop with the bloviating and roll it back. It’s really easy to do. You can put these people someplace else so your citizens are not harmed. I don’t buy it. I think you’re foolish. I think you’re lying to the public. There are simple things that our government, that the leaders can do to make us safe, and they don’t care. They are receiving what they are providing to us, what they want us to suffer from.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah. And you’re a former police officer and a former military as well. I find it so ironic. Ben, as you know, I’m going to be headed down to the Capitol on Monday.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 08 :
And I find it so ironic that you have to go through a metal detector and that you can’t take your firearms in there. But yet the state patrol… is in charge of security at the Capitol. So all of these legislators that are doing, proposing and passing this legislation to take away our right to keep and bear firearms actually have people with firearms protecting them at the Capitol.
SPEAKER 18 :
Seems a little odd, doesn’t it?
SPEAKER 08 :
It does seem just a little odd.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s hypocritical. These people are telling us we can’t have a gun. So I think what we should do as citizens. Sorry, Alan. Sorry, I’m a little fired up. What we should do as citizens is call them on their stuff. When you have these armed guards, when you remove their weapons, when you disarm the people that protect you every day, then we can have a conversation about gun control. But until then, shut your pie hole.
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m here for it. I’m here for it, kid. Merry Christmas. I don’t disagree with you one bit.

You might say it differently, I’m sure.

So with that, I’m going to be down at the Capitol at 2 o’clock on Monday delivering the petition to call on Governor Polis to show mercy and compassion and kindness during this Christmas season and release Tina Peters from the prison down in Pueblo, Colorado. Now, we have several things for you all to do. Number one, go to my website and make sure that you sign the petition. There is a red banner at the top of the website and just click on that. And I give you all the reasoning on this. We’re not talking about the case or anything like that. We’re talking about being compassionate during this Christmas season. Now, before Tina started or this whole ordeal started, Tina Peters didn’t even have a traffic ticket and she is languishing in a prison. And it would be very magnanimous of Governor Polis to let her out. And I think he may be starting to think about that. So we are focused on that message. So make sure that you sign the petition, then click that link, send it out to your sphere of influence, ask them to sign and share. And then the next thing is, is pray over this. And at 1.45, I’m asking everybody on Monday afternoon where you are to start praying as we are going in to deliver this petition to Governor Polis. But this is – he could look really good, and I’ve left some messages to that effect for him. He could really look great. Right.

I think also in part of the praying, we should pray for Polis, for God to soften his heart. I was thinking the same thing this morning. To soften his heart, and that will have a huge impact, whether it’s politically expedient for him or not, but soften his heart so he does the right thing to protect this wonderful lady.

And every year at this time, he does pardon people or commute sentences. Last year, he pardoned two murderers, one rapist, and one bank robber. So I think that he could very easily, it’d look great to release a Gold Star mom. What that means is her son died in service to our country. And she’s a cancer survivor. There are concerns that that might be reoccurring. She needs medical treatment. Her mother’s 97. So we are calling on Governor Jared Polis to release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve. Actually, they won’t let you have that coal to give to us. Oh, that’s right.

Those are fossil fuels, aren’t they?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER 12 :
We’re going to have to replace that. A lump of blackened tofu, maybe.
SPEAKER 18 :
Ding, ding. So I pulled a news article off of the Internet from KKCO down in Grand Junction, Colorado. There are stories all over the Internet about House Bill 23-1161. So this bill was approved in 2023. You know, I just – so I’m playing off of this news story. Matthew Pfeiffer, an HVAC instructor at CMU Tech, was part of the committee that helped to develop this legislation. He said that – Basically, they’re calling for all gas-fired appliances to be ultra-low NOx. That means that, like, super, super high efficiency, not emitting very much nitrous oxide. It’s going to help with smog and asthma. So, Kim, if you would just change your water heater, people’s asthma would go away. Here’s the really crazy part. This news article says that Those involved in the development say major manufacturers, local distributors, and contractors helped shape the legislation. This is on me as much as all of us. I get notices every so often like, hey, would you like to be on a committee for blah, blah, blah? And, you know, Kim, if you got a notification saying, hey, we’re going to be revising the phone book, would you like to come and, you know, spend a week talking about that? You’d be like, I don’t have time for that, right?
SPEAKER 08 :
Somebody under the age of 35 would say, what’s a phone book?
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, right. And it’s about that exciting on these committee hearings. But you get these people who, you know, Global warming and whatnot is literally their religion. They’re like, oh, yeah, I’m going to be on this committee. And I have seen this happen. The room is full of people that are all excited about let’s save the planet. And then you get this crazy, crazy legislation. So unfortunately, the end result is that come January 1st, I’ll give a little caveat to that. But basically, furnaces, gas-fired furnaces and water heaters, are gonna go crazy high in price. That doesn’t make life affordable. It does not. And here’s what’s so funny. Christine Brinker, who is a part of, she’s with Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, she helped to craft this bill. She said that they, in this process for crafting this bill, they addressed cost concerns. They wanted to make sure that, you know, people weren’t getting priced out on this. And so basically, if you save a few pennies on your energy bill, that would That would help. Apparently cover the cost. But I’m telling you, just on a water heater, and I don’t buy the big box store, what I call kind of subpar water heaters. I buy a high-quality water heater. Bradford White is what I like to install. They’re a little more pricey, but they last a long, long time. But this is going to cost me basically double and a half. So, like, if I pay $1,000 for a water heater, I’m now paying just my hard cost out of pocket for the water heater itself about $2,500. For a regular water heater. But these ultra low-nox water heaters, they cost even more. Right now, they cost about $2,600. That’s your cost before you install it? My cost before I install or bring any of the stuff with it. And I don’t know exactly what it’s going to be on these ultra-low-nox water heaters, but we’re talking crazy pricing. And, of course, a lot of companies out there are going to take this ball and run with it. So that leads into what I wanted to admonish our listeners on. Nice. Folks, I have heard so many stories just in the past month about people who have gotten ripped off. So now if you’re remodeling your house, obviously a big project, lots of tile, carpet, et cetera, you’re going to make a down payment to the general contractor. But if somebody’s coming out to install a water heater, a furnace, window blinds, whatever.
SPEAKER 08 :
Roger even said roof. Do not pay up front.
SPEAKER 18 :
Do not pay up front. That’s a huge, huge red flag. If they’re a legitimate business person. They’ve got a line of credit. They’ve got money, whatever. Don’t give them a dime up front. Make sure that they’re licensed and insured. It’s okay to ask. I mean, people should be proud to pull out their license and say, yes, I’m a master plumber or whatever. Check, is the business name registered with the Colorado Secretary of State? Okay. Super easy. You can go business name, look up Colorado Secretary of State, and it’ll take you right to that spot. Okay. Do they have a rating with the Better Business Bureau? So I’m not a member of the Better Business Bureau, but I have an A-plus rating. I don’t know how that happens, but I guess, I don’t know. People must call and say, hey, Ben did a good job or something.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 18 :
This is a big one. Are you feeling pressured? If they say, oh, if you don’t replace this, your house is going to blow up. Or Excel is going to come and shut off your gas if you don’t replace this furnace right now. That’s a scare tactic. And go with your gut feeling. And ladies, especially, God gave you… I don’t know, just something. Kim, maybe you could explain it better.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s a gut feeling. That’s exactly what it is.
SPEAKER 18 :
So trust that. Don’t let somebody fast talk you into having to make a quick decision. Now, if you have a gas leak, like a true gas leak, where you can smell it, not where a guy is saying, oh, you got a gas leak. But if you can smell it, that’s important. Mm-hmm. But that doesn’t mean you have to necessarily go replace the furnace or water heater or whatever.
SPEAKER 08 :
And that’s why people should call Ben’s Point Heating and Cooling.

Yeah, you can always make a second phone call. We just replaced a furnace this week for a guy. He actually had a cracked heat exchanger, which is kind of like, you know, that’s the deal. If your heat exchanger is cracked, yes, you need to replace the furnace. But the other things that the technician was telling him were completely fraudulent. Hmm. okay so go go with your gut feeling make a few calls call a few businesses and say hey you know just want to get a second opinion what about this so i just want to wrap this up um i know this isn’t fun news however looking at history change is constant right we’ve always had new changes new challenges we’re going to get through this um i’m sorry that the price is going to be crazy It is terrible. It’s going to make people really feel pinched. But we adopt and overcome. Remember when gas went from, Kim, you don’t remember this, but Alan, you remember when gas went from 25 cents a gallon up to 50 cents a gallon? We all thought, oh, the end of the world is here. So we’re going to get through this. What we need to do, Kim Monson listeners, we need to change our culture one heart and one mind at a time. Yeah, absolutely. Do we know if the tyrannical government is going to force new builds to put in that expensive water heater?
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, so what they’re doing is they’re targeting the distributors. So whether that’s like Lowe’s Home Depot or your local supplier, they’re saying to them, once your inventory is sold out, That’s it. You can’t sell this other stuff. Oh, and that, Kim, I know we’re over. That’s okay. Folks, here’s one workaround. So it can still be installed. An older style water heater, the current style water heaters can still be installed after January 1st.
SPEAKER 08 :
You have to go to Wyoming to buy it?
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, no. So this bill reads that the distributors can sell out their inventory after the first of the year. They just can’t bring in. more of that type of water heater or furnace. So I was just talking to one of your listeners, Kim, and I said, you know what, because her water heater, I think, was about getting to be 10-ish years old. You know, usually the last and easy 12, 14, 15. And so we’re going to talk about the nightmare before liberty.

Yes, indeed. It’s obviously based on The Nightmare Before Christmas, so if you’ve read that poem, admittedly, not my favorite Christmas story, but we have the book, and I was reading it to my kids the other day, and I don’t know, I was just kind of struck with some of the lessons that actually are packed and are pretty powerful in this book. So just to give a brief overview for those who maybe haven’t read this poem. It’s about a Jack Skellington. So it’s a skeleton that lives in Halloween, right? So he’s, it’s this land of Halloween, their job, their nature is to scare people. It’s Halloween, right? And he’s kind of getting bored of just being scary and saying boo to kids, right? So he’s wandering around kind of depressed and he’s wandering through through the forest and he finds a portal into the land of christmas and he walks through it and he sees all this cheer and joy and the presents and santa and he gets this idea that hey why don’t we do that why don’t i bring christmas back to halloween town so they get They kidnapped Santa Claus. And and I’ll quote from the book real quick. He’s talking to Santa about this, this wonderful plan he has to instead of allowing Christmas to do Christmas, Halloween is going to do Christmas instead. So he says, my dear Mr. Claus, I think it’s a crime that you’ve got to be Santa all of the time. But now I will give presents and I will spread cheer. We’re changing places. I’m Santa this year. It is I who will say Merry Christmas to you. So you may lie in my coffin creek doors and yell boo. And please, Mr. Claus, don’t think ill of my plan. For I’ll do the best Santa job that I can. And though Jack and his friends thought they’d do a good job, their idea of Christmas was still quite macabre. And so it’s kind of funny because I was just kind of struck right at that part that Santa You know, when we’re talking about Mamdani and New York, and we’re talking about all the things that are happening here in Colorado, that we have a similar situation kind of going on nationally. We’re seeing this communism, this Marxism, just start to become more and more popular. We have full-blown communists as mayors of New York. We have Bernie Sanders and AOC actively trying to say… communism is a good idea we have basically communism coming in and telling capitalism in the free market hey you’ve had all this fun for a while you’ve created such wealth we want to do that now we’re going to do that now and it’s kind of funny because in the story as you can probably imagine it goes exactly how you would think when when something of one nature tries to copy another it devolves into pure chaos, right? Because the garlands, instead of being happy and cheerful, are trying to take bites out of your fingers. The jack-in-the-boxes, instead of being fun and giving you that surprise of delight, are instead terror-filled, right? And so… Jack Skellington sits back after he does Christmas and all the children are screaming and yelling and they’re not happy. Right. And he goes, but I had such good intent. Right. I wanted to be the best Santa I could. I even tried to be the best Santa I could. And that’s what communism is kind of saying. Right. We get all these legislators, even with this legislation we talked about that are like, we have good intent. We’re wanting to do the right thing. Why is it not going the way we want it to? And it’s because we have an operating system here in America that has predisposed the nation towards one style of governance that communism can’t. fit into right if we’re using the the software analogy it cannot coexist it’s a whole new operating system and that’s that’s what’s beautiful about america and it’s kind of what gave me hope as i kind of read through this story i was like well are we just going to devolve into chaos all the time it’s like no we’re not it’ll be chaotic when communism is tried but the good news that we have is we have a system that was specifically designed to decentralize power Our Constitution was specifically designed to make sure that power cannot be centralized because that’s what communism needs. It needs to control the government. It needs to control our rights. It needs to control our property. And it needs to control the distribution of wealth. And what was our Constitution designed not to do? It enumerated powers. So it said, hey, the federal government can’t do anything beyond these powers that are enumerated. It separated the branches, which is horrible for streamlining policy and democracy, right? We can veto. We can vote policy in and out. We even created friction within the legislative branch with our bicameral system. You know, the Senate and the House can oftentimes, as we’re seeing lately, disagree on policies. Disagree on solutions and disagree on policy. So our government was specifically designed to clash with the operating system that communism wants. And that’s a good thing. That’s a good thing that our constitution was specifically designed to prevent that. And also, our Constitution was designed to change, which is a good thing. We do need the Constitution to be able to change, but it’s not easy.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s not a living Constitution. It’s by amendment that it’s supposed to change.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s by amendment. And when you think about it, only 27 amendments in over 250 years. That’s not much. And considering almost a third of that was basically baked into the system, right? We kind of knew we were going to do somewhere between 10 to 15 amendments each. Right out the go, just so we could get the Constitution approved. So the fact that almost a third of those were were right after we were founded as a country and of that, those 10 amendments, the the idea that we have rights. that they are expressly given is actually antithetical to communism as well. These ideas that, hey, we have a right to free speech. We have a right to bear arms. We have a right to protect our property. It bakes into the American psyche the fact that we have these individual rights. It’s given to us expressly by amendment in the Constitution. So I need to be thinking about what rights I have and what rights I shouldn’t be giving to the government.

which is also why communism will just always struggle to get a foothold in America because it expressly goes against individual rights.

And we’ll talk more about that in a little bit. Absolutely. And Alan Thomas is in studio. He’s an author here at the Kim Monson Show. He is a frequent guest host and a frequent guest on the show as well. We’re talking about the nightmare before liberty. Alan, when I was on city council. What I found is that people with certain agendas many times may come in front of city councils, state legislature, many times asking for projects to be funded. And one of these projects that I was really uncomfortable with, and I thought it was communism, was all of these scooters that were being owned by… Well, it was a contract. It was a government contract for these scooters. And the idea was to get people out of their cars and that people could just share. They could run the scooter around and they could leave it. And I’m thinking, this looks like communism to me. Because if you don’t own your scooter, are you going to take care of your scooter? And then within about six months, I would drive by and there might be just a scooter laying on the sidewalk. And I thought, this is what communism looks like. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely. And, you know, it’s kind of funny because I bring up city municipalities in the article. I bring up like, hey, you know what? It may look like a city municipality trying to pass an ordinance or something, or it may look like a quasi-governmental entity trying to take your land a la, you know, Xcel Energy saying we need to… Take your land for transmission for other people. And one of the things that we can rely on that, again, is kind of part of that system that we’ve already installed is the courts, right? We have this court system that is supposed to sit there and defend our property rights. It’s supposed to look at the Constitution and say – Hey, here’s how it’s supposed to be. It’s supposed to be this blind justice. It’s supposed to be this bulwark against people violating your rights. Right. And so we have the Constitution. We have the courts. They’re supposed to be protecting our rights. But it’s it’s also very interesting because to that point, Cain also brought this up at the break as well. Like, well, where do the people get involved? Right. Like you have so many people that are voting these communists into power. Where do the people get involved? And that’s kind of the third lock that you have. The first lock is our constitution. The second is the courts that are supposed to defend it. But then our founders were pretty brilliant, right? They did not want to over rely on the government that they founded. They didn’t want to over rely on the constitution or the courts. Basically, they didn’t trust the government. To just run the way they intended it to. And so they said in Federalist 51, a dependence on the people is no doubt the primary control on the government. So the last kind of hurdle that communism needs. The last hurdle that we, the people, need to provide against it to prevent it from slowly creeping into our governance is actually us. Us saying, no, we are not going to change the Constitution to allow communism to come in. No, we are going to vote out the people that are trying to take from us. We’re going to have to be in charge of our government. We are the ultimate source of power within the government, which is really what makes our founding very unique. Not ever before had it been tried to bring everyday people into the government. You have the House of the Lords that was used over in Britain. You had people that… You had to have land before you could vote. Not ever before had it really been tried to bring every person, every citizen into the fold of government and say, hey, this is a republic, but it’s going to take an active citizenry. It’s going to take an educated citizenry. And so that’s really what we have to make sure and do, because if we want the type of chaos that Jack Skellington brought to Christmas… then we need to also be educating our people to say, hey, your rights are non-negotiable. If you give up this right, if you say, okay, I’m willing to let the government take some of my money to give me this right to healthcare, this right to housing, this right to fill in the blank, what you’re doing is you’re negotiating your rights away. And the founder said, you should never want to do that because if you can negotiate one right away, you can negotiate them all away. And so it’s we need to also caution ourself against good intent. But also we need to the last part of the story that I kind of wanted to to leave with is at the end of the story, Jack is kind of sad, right? He he intended good joy. He intended to be the best Santa Claus he could be, but it was antithetical to his nature. He just couldn’t do it. And we know communism can’t do that. Everybody sitting at this table knows we could point across the world and say everywhere communism has been tried has been followed by grief and chaos and human suffering. And so he sat there and he said, I thought I could be Santa. I had such belief. Jack was confused and filled with great grief. And then Santa comes and sits next to him. And, you know, Santa’s like, OK. I’m going to fix this. Don’t worry. I’ll go fix Christmas. You don’t have to worry. But he says this. My dear Jack said, Santa, I applaud your intent. I know wrecking such havoc was not what you meant. And so you are sad and feeling quite blue. But taking over Christmas was the wrong thing to do. I hope you realize Halloween’s the right place for you. And so what I want to caution us with is just because people have been. taken over by this utopian speculation that communism is that they have this just utopian belief of what communism should do doesn’t make them necessarily a bad person but it doesn’t make them right either oh boy that’s a nugget So they can have good intent. They may not mean to wreak havoc. And I especially mean this. There’s certainly some in the political class. Cain, I see you wanting to jump out of your seat here. But they’re using people. They’re using people and people of good intent who really don’t mean harm. There are a lot of people that want to help the homeless, that want to make things more affordable, and that think that communism is their vehicle to it. And we need to remind them, kind of like Santa does, no, we have a path forward for this that works. We have a vision of how this can work. Communism is not it. It will wreak havoc if we try and circumvent these ideas. So don’t get lost in that. And so, of course, my my wonderful editor, which is my wife, she wanted to rewrite this. And so I laughed out loud. So my dear liberals said constitutionalists, I applaud your intent. I know wrecking such havoc was not what you meant. And so you are sad and feeling quite blue, but taking over America was the wrong thing to do. I hope you realize China’s the place for you. That’s beautiful. And we talk a lot about this. We need to realize people that intend good are not mean-spirited. They’re not terrible people. They’re misinformed people. And it is our job as citizens to educate everyone around us, to tell them why we have the system we have, why it’s a good thing we have the system we have, that the Constitution is beautiful, that our rights are beautiful, that they are inherent, and that we should not give them up.

And the reason I say this is because they’re trying to change our culture. That will be the most viewed television program probably for the whole year. And little kids are going to sit there and they’re going to watch this with their family. And then they’re going to have questions. And now parents have to explain this. And I just think it’s a horrible thing that the NFL is doing. And so I choose not to participate with those guys.

Yeah. Yeah. It was a group that we were very naive. I thought it was right after I got out of high school, but it was great for a kid from Kansas to get to travel. And because of Jenner Griswold’s comments the other day about banning firearms or doing an assault weapons ban, now there’s rumor going around from the Democrats on an assault weapons ban on top of 003, which already pretty much essentially did that, depending on how the term is defined. So yeah, we have a lot of concerns this session. People need to stay awake, stay vigilant, do not get complacent, get involved, donate, do what you can to fight back against this, because it’s going to take all of us. It’s going to take an effort. It’s going to take a team.

And we’re in it with you because the right to bear firearms, the founders knew that this was important so that we could protect ourselves against bad actors. That’s why the Second Amendment is there. It’s not for sporting or for those things, although that’s something you can do with a firearm, Teddy, but it is so that we can protect ourselves against bad actors.

Correct, Kim. I mean, you know, the principles and the foundations of the Second Amendment is a government should fear its populace, not a populace fear its government. And that’s the whole intent from our founding fathers was to protect us against another tyrannical government like we did when we defended ourselves versus the British.

Because Joy Reid, she has short hair, but she has blonde hair. It’s insane that we allow these people to do these things to us.

The other thing is, I want to talk about our speech and speaking against evil. There’s a thing called matching the frequency. You know you can find the frequency of a bridge and you match that frequency and the resonance would destroy it. It would 100% destroy. destroy the bridge it’ll fall into the water so i’m simply saying if we can match their frequency with god’s love and truth we can destroy them they don’t want us to speak They cannot stand the truth. And so I guess my argument or my request is just speak out. If our words can destroy them, we need to speak out. We need to vote. We need to fix the voting system like Ben said earlier. But we need to speak the truth. The other thing is in the Bible. I got to quote this really quick. Joshua 15, 13 says, and it talks about Jericho and it’s the speaking, it’s the word. And so these people walked around Jericho, the walls for six days, not saying anything. On the seventh day, the priests came out with trumpets and all day they blew the trumpet. And then later that day, the people were requested to yell, to shout. And it found the frequency. And it was their voices that brought down the wall. I believe the six days of walking was just to demonstrate your faith. And on that seventh day, it’s the voice. And so I’m simply, I’m going to talk about Joy Reed and what they’re doing to us. But too many of us are just quiet. We sit back and we take this and we allow these people to change our culture. So Joyless Reed, I like to call her. She claimed… that Jingle Bells was racist because it was written by a Confederate soldier who was a bigot. What is she trying to do? Are they trying to destroy Christmas? Divide us. Are they dividing us? Are they sending this message to these little kids that, you know what, Christmas really is not a good deal? Who are they going to attack next, the white guy with the white beard and the red jumpsuit? I say yes, because that’s what they do. But if we don’t use our voices to push back, the thing the left and the marxicoms fear the most is the truth in our voices. It’s the speech. It’s the speech, which is why they want to regulate us all the time. So Joy Reid, I think this guy was saying it was part of a – a minstrel show, you know, blackface. And that’s where the song came from. I don’t know that to be true, but I will ask Joy Reid this. What about the Democrat Party? Can we cancel them? I’m just, I mean, you want to cancel a song that was written by a Confederate soldier who was a bigot.

They are cut up. I consider they’re murdered. They’re murdered. There are 38 states. Hear me out on this. There are 38 states that say if you kill a woman that’s pregnant, you’re going to get charged with double homicide. Doesn’t that mean that that child now has the same rights as you and I?

Yesterday, Cain… Okay, let me think here. Gosh, now… I mentioned Dennis Prager. You know what? It was one of the interviews that we recorded for next week. Dennis Prager, and I’m doing this from memory, but was talking about the Ten Commandments. And he said, if there’s one commandment that might stand out, to him it was, thou shalt not steal. Now, we see government stealing… opportunity, stealing your choice to be able to have a gas-fired furnace, that’s stealing… Because then that becomes a wealth transfer. And if you have to pay… $2,500 for a water heater instead of $1,000. As a small family, you’re trying to make ends meet. You’re having a wealth transfer that’s being mandated. And it’s communistic to do that. And so they are so subtle, which is to your point, Kate. Yes. But to abort, you’re stealing.

You’re stealing the life of that child. You’re stealing the life of the mom. You’re stealing the life of the father who never had a chance to defend his child. It’s horrific. And I would hope that our GOP, that our Republican Party, would stand up and fight these people, man. And maybe some of them are for it. I don’t know.

Well, many of the people running for office are being told by consultants, don’t get into the social issues. Just stay on the economic issues. But that’s not going to work because if you have a society –

that is in decay it doesn’t matter what the economics are people want to people want to get behind a person that’s willing to fight i i would get behind a person that’s willing to fight and go down in flames fighting for the truth and fighting for justice and fighting for our constitutional rights go down in flames but we’re going to burn a whole bunch of people as we go down

OK, I have a question for you. The founders, there were blacks that were involved in the founding as well. Yes, absolutely. Tell me about that.

Well, Frederick Douglass. Yeah. Wow. Frederick Douglass was a slave, right? He was a he was a former slave, taught himself to read and became a part. In fact, he was communicating with with Lincoln. I mean, there were many, many. And what’s really interesting is the Civil War, there were blacks on both sides. Isn’t that crazy? It’s just, I mean, it’s the culture at the time. I mean, what do you do with that? But let me move on real quick. So LBJ, he started the welfare program, which almost destroyed the black family. Almost destroyed it. To this day, we’re still suffering from what LBJ did. You know, the whole snap thing we talked about a couple sessions ago. Joyless? That’s a Democrat Party policy. You’re going to attack a song. Government dependency. You guys are frauds. I’m going to say this. I’ll try to say this as politely as I can. I’m so sick and tired of these house Negroes who are controlled by their slave masters, the plantation owners. I’m so sick and tired of them bringing up all these ridiculous issues. And it’s not doing anything to help the public, to help the Negro community or the country. It’s all done to divide us.

Will complain that this man went in and solved a problem that no one’s ever addressed. And not in my lifetime. I remember as a kid, D.C. stood for dark country. Mostly black folks out there killing each other. And he fixed it. And then these people complain. They’re frauds.

And it’s because of the policies of these radical activists that have taken over the Democrat Party. Donald Trump has said, I will bring in the National Guard and we will make this safe again. Is that constitutional? Because Karen Gorday and I had had a conversation. She and I are both uncomfortable with… sending in military into our cities. Is it constitutional? And she and I are both uncomfortable with it. However, these blue city mayors don’t care. They don’t care about the chaos and the destruction. My concern is, though, is if we get a blue city president again, that it sets a precedent where they could come in and come after us. So what do you say to that?
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s a tough one. It’s difficult. But do we let children continue to die? I mean, I know that it may be creating a constitutional, what do you call it?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I think it is constitutional because in the Constitution, it says to ensure like the domestic tranquility. For our safety. Yeah, I think it is constitutional.

He’s the… There’s been several Republican presidents. No one has ever done what he’s doing in these cities, saying, I’m tired of these people being killed. He’s been saying for years, stop the killing. No one in Hollywood, the news media, the lying teleprompter reading harlots, they don’t cover it. This week, 200 black people are going to get killed by other black folks. Nobody says a word. Donald Trump says, we’re going to stop this. Our future is being destroyed. There are smart kids that are being shot on the street that can become president, and that won’t happen for them. How much time we have? A minute?

It says, yes, Trump pardoned 70-year-old Colorado election clerk Governor Polis should, too. That’s not actually what I’m calling for. Yes, she’s got the online petition in there as well. Calling on Governor Jared Polis to release Tina Peters before Christmas Eve and show some compassion and kindness. Yes, and I get it. I understand it. But there’s a lady sitting in prison.

She’s languishing. Sacrificed all that sacrificed everything, her freedom, her her her ability to speak. And so I get it. I understand that. But at some point in our lives, we have to stand up and take a stance and say, I’m going to stand in the gap. And what people really don’t understand is if you’re on the voters roll. Anybody can go see, find your address, find what you are. I mean, it’s public.

But I’m doing this to protect people. I get it.

I get it. I get it. And that’s important. That’s important. And more people would.

Prayers at 145. Begin those prayers for guidance on this today, the weekend. Pray over this petition for the success of that. And then start praying at 145.

That song is called Amazing Grace. It was written in 1772 by John Newton. John Newton was a slave ship captain who later became an angelic priest. He was a slave ship captain. Joy Reid, are you gonna cancel that song? Are you going to go into all the churches and tell them he not only bought and sold slaves, he transported them to this country? Joy Reid? Really? You’re not, where are you going to stop? I challenge you, Joy, and see what happens to you. Go into all churches around the world. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. And it was written by a former slave ship captain. And there’s a gentleman that sang this, and I cannot remember his name right now. But he said the lyrics were to the hymn of a slave’s. the song, that melody, the melody was written to the singing of slaves in the slave ships. So Joy Reid, how far do you want to go?

You know that Newton was influenced by William Wilberforce, who it was his life’s work to do two things. He was in Parliament during that time. Two things. He wanted to get rid of the… British slave trade, which eventually they did. The other thing is he wanted to bring good manners back to Britain. And if you start to have good manners towards another human being, it changes society.

And Newton became an abolitionist from trafficking slaves to saying this is wrong. I look at our Constitution that gave us these freedoms that all men are created equal. It took 100 years. and Christians to say, wait a minute, how can I be a Christian? And how can we have this constitution? And I own this man that’s in the field.
SPEAKER 08 :
It doesn’t match up.
SPEAKER 15 :
It does not match up. And so over time… Over time, the culture changed.
SPEAKER 08 :
But Jefferson knew that. He knew as he was writing those words that this was an ideal that they needed to get. There’s no way you can write, I’m going to create an equal and own another human being. It doesn’t work. But, Cain, slavery was throughout the world. There are those that want to say it was us. Slavery was prevalent throughout the world, and it still is.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes. John Newton was a slave for two years. Two years prior to becoming… I didn’t know that. Two years prior to becoming the captain of the slave ship, he was a slave. I didn’t know that. In Europe. Yes. So when I come on your show, I read a lot. Yeah. And to find out information. But my point is to joy read. Do your research. What else are you going to pick to try to cancel? Because… We can go back in history and cancel everything if we want to look.

What is it? They want to cancel America.
SPEAKER 15 :
Wells Fargo is what, 120, 25 years old? Wells Fargo. You don’t think they were involved in slave and segregation? I don’t know. I mean, I don’t know, but I would assume so. They were a huge business. Joy, I mean, stop it already. I’m so sick and tired of these people. I’m sick and tired of people listening to them. I’m sick and tired of people not staying up and going, hey, Joy, shut your pie hole. Just be quiet. We have to stand up with our words and fight against their agenda. Didn’t she get, she no longer is. She’s not on MSNBC. She got fired. She got fired because she didn’t have any ratings. Because most of them, most of them, when I say they’re lying teleprompter reading harlots, this is what they are. They are part of the Democrat Party and their job is to destroy us. That’s why they’re there for. Their job is to manipulate us. What was it? Malcolm X said, you’ve been bamboozled by these people, the Democrat Party. Negroes, you’ve been bamboozled by the Democrat Party. They care nothing about you and your children. They kill them by the millions in the womb. They allow your kids to get killed on the street, and no one says one word. No one in the media, no one in Hollywood says, They’re horrific. But we have to, I challenge, this is my challenge. 2026, speak the truth. Tell your friends, your relatives, your neighbors, speak the truth.

But the thing is, is a lot of people had all this relativism and so they don’t know the truth. That’s why what we’re doing is so important.
