SPEAKER 14 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 09 :
Under this guise of bipartisanship and nonpartisanship, it’s actually tapping down the truth.
SPEAKER 14 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 09 :
On an equal field in the battle of ideas, mistruths and misconceptions is getting us into a world of hurt.
SPEAKER 14 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 09 :
Indeed. Let’s have a conversation. And welcome to the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You eat your treasured, your valued. Today’s drive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Wednesday, producer Joe. Happy Wednesday, Kim. And we’ve got a great show planned for you today. We’ll be talking with Mike Rolick, who is really a citizen activist watchdog, engaged citizen as in this first hour. And then also. We’ll be talking with Dr. James Linesweiler regarding several things. He’s a scientist. But we’re going to talk about measles because that’s been in the headlines. Second hour, we’ll talk with sixth-generation rancher Trent Luce. And there’s a number of things that are happening with the people that feed and fuel us. And so we’ll talk about all that. It is Wednesday, so that’s Wings Day. At Hooters restaurants, you buy 20 wings, you get an additional 10 for free. That’s for to go or to dine in. And those locations are Loveland, Westminster and in Aurora. And so be sure and they’re famous for their wings. And so Wednesday’s Wings Day is a great thing to partake in. Let’s see. The text line is 720-605-0647. Thank you to all of you who support us. We are an independent voice on an independent station searching for truth and clarity as we examine these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate and it’s not altruistic to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods or lives via force. And force can be a weapon, but it can also be policy, unpredictable and excessive taxation, forced fees, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the agenda of the World Economic Forum, which is playing out all the way to local governments as well. remember if something is a good idea you should not have to use force to implement it on the show we focus on the issues not the people or the personalities and so i will at this point just highlight an issue that i am super concerned about and this is regarding my county which is douglas county and this is from cbs colorado it says residents push back as colorado’s douglas county limits public comment it passes deputy litigation resolution as well i’m very concerned about voices being shut down and the board of douglas county commissioners apparently became heated uh with the anger over the recent removal of general public comment and the article goes on to say uh here is says first they silenced us on social media all their posts no comments were allowed and then they silenced us in the meetings said douglas county resident jody messinich after douglas county commissioners removed general public comment Neighbors are finding other ways to make their voices heard.
SPEAKER 08 :

SPEAKER 09 :
and welcome back it is february which is george washington’s birthday month and we’re highlighting different things regarding george washington and i will go back to what i was talking about regarding the voices of people in douglas county as well we had technical difficulties so apologies on that but this is uh the fifth time that uh George Washington was protected by divine providence. And this is from The Miraculous Care of Providence from American Heritage. It was written back in 1982 by James Thomas Flexner. And this is it. It says, the following year saw the nadir of the American cause. New York City had become a British base. The Continental Army was defeated at White Plains. Forts Washington and Lee fell with great losses of men and supplies. Washington’s Continental Army fled ignominiously across New Jersey, while the terrified inhabitants scrambled to swear renewed allegiance to the crown. Then, during a blizzard, Washington made a midnight crossing of the Delaware to overcome the Hessians at Trenton. This might have been considered no more than an audacious raid had it not been followed by the beating up of three British regiments at Princeton. At the outskirts of the town, the British regulars had drawn up in their famous line against which Washington’s soldiers had never been able to stand. The Americans who faced them were wavering in confusion when a big man on a white horse appeared at a gallop. Parade with us, my brave fellows, Washington shouted. There is but a handful of enemy and we shall have them directly. His troops obediently got into a line of their own, facing the enemy. Then Washington galloped in front of his troops to the very center. He waved his men forward, and as they advanced, he continued to move forward before them. The enemy was ever closer. Now Washington and his followers were mounting a rise and came within musket range. Although most of the enemy held their fire, a few bullets zinged around the tall target on horseback. Within 30 yards of the British line, Washington shouted halt and gave the order to fire. Both sides fired simultaneously with Washington between them. His aide, Colonel Edward Fitzgerald, covered his face with his hat, for he could not bear to see the commander-in-chief killed. When all the guns had been emptied, the firing ceased. Fitzgerald lowered his hat around him. Many men lay writhing, but Washington sat on his horse untouched. The enemy broke and fled. Now at long last, Washington had a chance to chase regulars across an open field. Shouting, “‘It’s a fine fox chase, my boys!’ he started after the enemy on his powerful charger, so unexpectedly and so quickly that no one followed him before he disappeared from sight.” As time passed, he did not return. Anxiety mounted among his fellow generals and his aides. It is hardly prudent military practice to have your commander chasing around after the enemy all by himself on a battlefield. Had Washington been hit? But of course not. The general was preserved then as always and went on to serve his two terms as president. And that is the fifth time that Washington was spared by the divine provider. And Washington knew that the divine providence had his hand on America at our founding as well as divine providence has his hand on us now. uh our first thing you have your homework and i’ve seen many of you are doing this go to the colorado union of taxpayers website that is coloradotaxpayer.org and make sure that you join us it’s only 25 that way you’ll get the email that we send out on mondays to the legislators and to the governor And I did want to say thank you to my fellow board members. That’s Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Ramey Johnson, Mary Jansen, Dave Evans, Corey Onizori, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. And make your voice heard for sure on House Bill 26-1001. So go to the website at the top, click on Cut Engaged, and we have them by the weeks that we are posting them. So we posted this last week, and it’s House Bill 1001. and it’s called the home act which housing opportunities made easier is what it’s to stand for is it’s actually all about subsidized housing changing our neighborhoods taking aware our voices in two ways changing our neighborhoods through administrative approval of these developments which means it does not go through the normal channels that have been set up regarding zoning and And all of those processes. So it takes away the public’s voice on that. They also put the safety clause on it, which takes away our voices as well. And I call it the Con Act, which is control our neighborhoods. And that is House Bill 1001. They are trying to ram that through. It’s gone through the House and will be making its way over to the Senate. So we have to make our voices heard and continue to shed light on this. But the five top reasons that it should be defeated is silences the voices of the people. requires there’s your force for jurisdictions to allow subsidized housing on parcels of five acres or less that are owned by a nonprofit, public transit, school district, college or university, housing authority or regional transportation authority, hides the process under a shroud of unelected administrative processes or bureaucracies, allows bureaucrats who are unelected and unaccountable to the people to pick winners and losers and uses our hard-earned money paying taxes to be used to subsidize developers who would change the fabric of every colorado community with population of 2 000 or more forever And so make your voices heard on that. Next thing, our word of the day is nascent, and it is coming into existence or emerging, commencing or in the process of development, beginning to exist or to grow, coming into being. And it was used in many of these things where we’re talking about George Washington and the founding of our country. Our quote of the day is George Washington, and it’s a prayer. He was born in 1732, died in 1799. He was a founding father, our first president and commander of the Continental Army. He said this, and I think this is a great prayer for America today as well. But he said, Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the Lamb and purge my heart by thy Holy Spirit. Daily frame me more and more in the likeness of thy Son, Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time obtain the resurrection of the justified unto eternal life. Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind.” and let the world be filled with the knowledge of the and my son jesus christ and that is george washington and i thought that that was very appropriate as we are facing so many things today we ask for that divine guidance our bill of the day is house bill 26 10 30 it’s titled the data center and utility modernization act and cut the colorado union taxpayers is opposed to this this is our commentary on it it says the bill establishes a data center development program and a development authority appointed to run the program so right there you can hear special interests the program offers a 100 sales and use tax exemption for minimum 250 million dollar data facility projects so they’re not going to be paying taxes on all of that stuff again picking winners and losers this is not the proper role of government The legislation ignores the reason new giant data centers are not coming here, and it’s because we have unreliable, 100% renewable energy mandated by this legislature and governor. The solution they propose to their problem is to set up another bureaucracy and offer tax incentives. The taxpayers, including existing data centers, will have to pay for these incentives and we’ll see our TABR, our Colorado Taxpayers Bill of Rights, refunds shrink. Meanwhile, more demand is placed on a declining power supply. This is cronyism that works by giving special favors to select businesses at everyone else’s expense, run by appointees answerable to no one. The insertion of the safety clause is the final twist in the dagger into the body of Colorado citizens. and i did want to finish up as i mentioned we focus on issues we’ll mention the people pushing those issues but we really work to see out of the personality fighting and the fact that the douglas county commissioners of removing general public comment from their meetings i silencing those voices i find distressful because freedom of speech is so important. And this is a Republican board, and I’m actually pretty shocked that this is what they are doing, but very concerned about that. And I know someone is on the line who’s very concerned about government shutting down voices, and that is Mike Rolick. He is a concerned citizen, has taken upon himself in his spare time to really become a Voice of the people engaging with politicians, bureaucrats in so much that’s going on. Mike Rolick, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 16 :
Jim, good morning. How are you doing?
SPEAKER 09 :
I am well. A little unhappy about voices being shut down in Douglas County, but very concerned. I know you are, too.
SPEAKER 16 :
You know, and it doesn’t take a whole lot of us at a local meeting to make a difference. You know, like we talked about last week with Urbana, just even 10 or 15 people in the room is quite the surprise, you know, on a normal day. uh non-huge hearing item uh type of night you know so it’s it’s in the boring times that the biggest changes are made that make the exciting times more difficult trust me on that um we have to go to the boring meetings uh just yesterday in our bed i didn’t get to look at it yet but um they had a workshop on automatic license plate readers i’m sure no one shows up Because it’s not a hearing item. It’s not an Amazon or some other huge thing or, you know, some 8000 units housing project, you know, so to speak. But those are where the changes are made. Yeah, I just listened in. You know, we have a small coalition of different local neighborhood groups that got together back in 2024 for some state events. Laws that came through, you know, HB 1107 and 1313. Those are some really rough ones. And we’re trying to get everybody back together because we did see the 1001 that you just had spoken about. Very concerning. We don’t there. There is an irrational push to selling off all. land and assets for the quote-unquote housing crisis. From all metrics that I see, the housing population, I’m sorry, the population is basically flattened now. So what happens when you sell school land? What happens when you sell university land? And then all of a sudden you have a change in population, more births, and then you have to put kids into school again. It’s such a short-sighted mentality. I do believe that a lot of folks in our state government work on a crisis mentality. They can’t see three years, four years down the road, not even 20. It’s just, let’s sell now. Let’s get it all done now. Let’s go with special interest now. And then all of a sudden, you’re like, well, what are you going to do in five years? Well, I don’t know. We’re not there, but we need to solve this crisis now. So it’s a crisis to crisis to crisis mentality as opposed to just understanding, hey, look, things change. Life’s cyclical and you’re going to need those schools again. You know, when we saw Allendale School get sold for 56 homes over in Nevada, it was like, are you kidding me? And then they say, well, there’s plenty of room at this other school, Van Arsdale, whatever it’s called. And people that testified said the kids are in temporary buildings because you haven’t finished the buildings yet. So you’re selling schools off and telling us that we have room when we actually don’t.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, and the other thing is, is. This land, this is going to change the fabric of these neighborhoods. So there’s many neighborhoods where there’s been land that has been given to the school district by a developer for a possible school where that land is not being used for a school. and so with this 1001 the way i read it mike is that the uh and not even going through planning or zoning so no way voices are heard whatsoever is a three-story uh subsidized apartment building could be plopped into neighborhoods and the people of the neighborhoods have no voice on it whatsoever
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, obviously, that’s a huge problem. I am not a fan of location and extent process, and that’s probably what they’ll be using. It’s a paltry joke of a rezoning process where the planning commission can say yes or no, but it’s an advisory only because it can go get remanded right back to the state board who wanted the thing in the first place, and then they can just override the county. So, They try to, obviously, when it came to Globe Park, we were talking about this location extent process, just a waste of time. It’s a waste of citizens’ breath, even if you get one, because it’s already conceived of as a success in the mind of the folks at the state. So, yeah, it’s horrendous. Yeah, I haven’t read it yet, but I know that I got an email from someone in our group last night that said, that there’s a fair bit of support, unfortunately. Very little opposition. The only opposition is the Colorado Municipal League and a bunch of conservative-leaning individual cities, plus some red counties. Everybody out there in red counties, please get involved and call. Your voices matter. I wanted to talk about 1040. I don’t know if you had seen this one.
SPEAKER 09 :
I had looked at that, yes.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, so this is what’s amazing about the process of amending. Originally, 1040 was going to, it says sterilization rights, and we’re going to add in, you know, CRS 25.510231, whatever. Numbers don’t matter, but what matters was the original language was a person with an intellectual and developmental disability must have receive counseling on the long-term impacts of sterilization and the less intrusive measures available for preventing pregnancy to ensure informed decision-making. Counseling must take place before the person with an intellectual and developmental disability consents and must occur regardless of the person’s competency. Now, I understand That some people would look at that and say, well, that’s great. They’re getting counseling before they make a decision. But the government is forcing you to talk to somebody. What is a developmental disability? What is an intellectual disability? Who is the counselor? Do you have a choice in the counselor? Well, guys, I went down the rabbit hole looking at, you know, made in Canada and all this other stuff and sterilization, eugenics. Turns out because of the amendment process and the good folks that we have, that section is now gone. That section is gone. And this bill has gone from something pretty scary because it has a ton of government intrusion to a bill that looks very protective and says you cannot force. anyone, regardless of capacity, unless there’s an imminent danger to their life to ever be sterilized. Now, that was what the old bill had said, but they added this counseling part in. And you got to worry about, you know, I looked into studies about how many times therapists abused their own clients. Well, you couldn’t really call us a client, I suppose, but, you know, the people that they see. That happens. Sexual abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse. And so that whole part was stricken out. This process matters. You know, I saw at least one of your listeners yesterday at the Children Are Not For Sale Act as well that unfortunately that failed on party lines. I’m not sure if you were able to listen in, but Scott Bottoms put in a great piece of legislation and ultimately it failed on party lines. It would have required any person involved in child trafficking to get a Class 1 felony. Right now it’s a Class 2 felony with the bottom tier of time being served, eight years, but there was someone on yesterday who discussed how with parole it could be as little as three years. It’s shameful to think that we heard about folks that were victimized yesterday. It was a very, very emotional testimony. Kids as young as three months are being abused and harmed irreparably. You had people in their 50s to 70s who had been victims of this and still dealing with it. So I thought it was interesting. Rep Soper had had postulated the idea that if you’re a victim of this type of abuse, you also have a life sentence in a way. So why shouldn’t the person who’s perpetrated the crime to have a life sentence as well? On the Democrat side, I just can’t believe what I heard. Frankly, they talked about the cost Keeping people in jail for life. I tried to, you know, in my testimony, kind of run that early because last year, 25, 12, 14 was looking at cost and the use of prison beds and trying to get people out faster. So I mentioned, hey, you know, we have a whole list of unused state properties. Use that. Sell those off. as opposed to do these stupid 99-year ground leases that don’t really make a whole lot of money and use that to keep people who are violent, violent child predators in jail for life. We talked about the goods and the bads and the effects of rehab. There’s a lot of people who, like Scott Bottoms himself, have worked in prisons, have tried to work with folks. It just doesn’t seem very possible. to get effective rehab on someone who’s been a child predator in the first place, who could sell someone to another person. It’s just a mess.
SPEAKER 09 :
And this is why the ballot initiatives of Protect Kids Colorado is so important, because as we’re seeing here, this legislature, which is being controlled by radical activists, are are okay with children being sold for sex. And so that’s why go to Protect Kids Colorado and make sure that you have signed those petitions. I think locations, they’re in the final days on this, and I think there’s locations where you can find that. That’s protectkidscolorado.org. And the other thing, when I looked at 1040, I thought that was… interesting that they’re over here regarding rights of sterilization with people with disabilities. And that’s very astute of you to determine that it was important to get that counseling piece out of there. But I find it a bit crazy that This 1040 was concerned about this sterilization, but yet these radical activists are in favor and have been protecting trans surgeries on kids, which that is sterilizing them. I just felt that that was a real big disconnect, Mike Rollick.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s an interesting thought. I hadn’t thought about that. I don’t, you know, I’m just focusing on basically the, the safety and privacy bills. So I didn’t, haven’t even read the, the, the, the AB compare on that, but yeah, that is an interesting thought for sure. The, the idea of permanently altering somebody, you know, as a minor is, is frightening in, in, in, in all forms. Yeah. So it is. I there were by the way, there were folks who were testifying yesterday who were out doing the petitions for, you know, for that referendum you were talking about. And that’s important. And they did mention we are out here doing this, getting signatures because you at the. Senate or the legislator will not. You have to do this. And it was it was an interesting. So, yeah, if if if you live in Ava Ava Flannel District, Rebecca Kelty, Scott’s law, Matt Sober, please send them an email. Tell them thank you for voting with Scott Bottoms on this. It was on party lines. It’s unfortunate. I think we need to even out the representation somehow. Everyone who’s upset about the voting system or what have you still got to get out there and vote. We need 100 percent turnout because this is what happens. You get party line votes and great legislation just dies.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right. Okay. Well, Mike Rolick, thank you so much. We’ll talk again next week. And thank you for just your analysis and being so involved in all this. I really appreciate it. And again, that is Mike Rolick. And we’ll talk with you next week, Mike.
SPEAKER 16 :
Thank you so much, Kim. Have a great day.
SPEAKER 09 :

SPEAKER 17 :
Good morning, Jim. How are you?
SPEAKER 09 :
I am doing well and lots going on. But I’ve been watching all of your emails and people can find you at Substack under popular rationalism. But measles has been in the headlines, particularly here in Colorado. So what should people know about it?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, well, there’s a lot that people should know about it. There are reasons for us to be concerned about whether local public health departments, state public health departments are providing sufficient amount of data for us to make assessments. on the severity of the measles outbreak, on its trends, on who’s at risk of measles, whether measles infections are incurring among vaccinated individuals and what that means for the Merck’s measles, mumps and rubella or MMR vaccine. So that’s the topic, one of the topics we can talk about today.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. And measles, I had measles as a kid. I actually had measles, chickenpox, and the mumps as a kid. And so it was really after that that we got into vaccinating children for measles, mumps, and rubella, the MMR. And one of the reports that you had shared was here in Colorado, 44% of the measles cases were in individuals that had been vaccinated. So the efficacy rate, that’s not very good.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, we have to be careful. You’re right to say that it’s a signal of something. We have to be careful to jump directly to the efficacy just to break it down. I know it’s early in the morning there, but there’s a difference between efficacy, which is a measure that you get by doing randomized prospective clinical trials where you have control over a lot of variables. and real-world effectiveness. In this case, in Colorado, there’s a particular cluster that was looked at from people that were exposed, and they, of course, are going to find a higher percentage of measles virus, evidence of measles virus, in people who were known to be exposed. And so when we say that, we go, okay, well, how many of these were actually… you know unvaccinated versus vaccinated and there’s a problem here public health local public health and i think i suspect this is going to change includes people who are not eligible for the vaccine in unvaccinated in other words if you’re less than five years old you most likely unless you have a special dispensation or reason like you were exposed or you’re at a school that had mmr you know, visited a school where there were children that had measles, I should say, you’re most likely not to have Merck’s MMR because you’re not eligible for it. So if you’re not eligible for the vaccine, why should you count as unvaccinated or vaccinated? Of course, you know, when we’re talking about vaccine efficacy, those measurements do not typically count um children that that young will mount a natural immune response uh to an infection but there’s no evidence that they’ll actually benefit from the vaccine so when we’re talking about you know whether the vaccine is effective or not well just those people should be left out um But when we’re looking at this report, which was in CDC’s publication, Measles, Mumps, I’m sorry, Morbidity, Mortality Weekly Report, we see a substantial fraction reported by the CDC as being… vaccinated. Now, this does not mathematically then mean that the vaccine automatically doesn’t mean that the vaccine has problems, but it does cause us to pause for a moment and say, does the vaccine have problems? And so that’s epistemologically, I mean, in the science of how we know things, that’s where we stand. And my bone of contention is that public health really doesn’t have a clear definition of vaccinated or unvaccinated either. Um, someone has two doses, MMR, they’re vaccinated, or they have less than two doses. Are they vaccinated? It depends on the state, it turns out. And then if you, um, um, you know, are, are up to date with your MMR vaccine, so to speak, your MMR vaccine, um, But then the doctor has recommended that you get a booster because you’re an adult and it’s been 20 years and you don’t have titers. Are you vaccinated? Right. And so there are people that have received the vaccine who don’t have titers that fall under the unvaccinated because they think that titers reflect your vaccination status after 20 years. And they certainly do not. So there’s some vagaries in here. And this problem that we have in terms of, you know, do we really know what percentage of cases might have been prevented if people were vaccinated, which is really the point of efficacy and effectiveness. This speaks to the fact that public health doesn’t track proper information. They don’t do proper contract tracing in general. They don’t look at… And this is a case where contact tracing was done based on exposure, not based on case identification. But public health doesn’t report which people were hospitalized, typically vaccinated or unvaccinated. In this cluster, they did. It turns out that according to this report, Not only was vaccination status given for many of the patients, but also their severity of their symptoms and whether or not they were hospitalized. And it does turn out that those who are hospitalized tend to be unvaccinated. And so we know that the MMR vaccine does not prevent transmission in all cases. There’s primary vaccine failure where a person just does not mount an immune response to the vaccine. There’s secondary vaccine failure where your immune response, you know, wanes over time, that waning immunity is an aspect, an attribute of an individual. And that has been the basis of the argument that we need to add boosters to the MMR. And this is why they have two doses. It was thought the MMR will give you good immunity, you’re good to go. And then, no, we saw waning immunity. Why are we getting measles cases in schools among the vaccinated? This history is repeating itself. This vaccine has been around for a long time. It’s been 60 years for the wild type to evolve away from the laboratory type that they use in the vaccine. That’s 120 years of molecular revolution of mutations that can happen in the virus itself. change the protein, change the antigenicity, change the reactogenicity, and also, you know, the virus can escape the vaccine. Just as we saw with the mRNA vaccines in COVID from Pfizer and Moderna, we just saw that compressed in a much, much shorter period of time. We saw… vaccine escape where the vaccine was said by politicians this will prevent transmission it’s the best way to protect yourself but in reality the vaccine had already escaped the virus had already skipped the vaccine and so the public messaging was out of cadence with reality and people were very disappointed and they learned wait a minute they’re lying to us they concluded they were being lied to I took the vaccine. I’m supposed to be immune. Why do I keep getting COVID? Well, this is absolutely the natural life cycle of what happens with vaccines. The viruses will evolve away and escape the vaccine. And there’s a period of time where the decision has to be made. Are we going to do a booster? Are we going to require new development of new vaccines? What are we going to do here? It’s been over 60 years. What they’ve decided to do apparently is do about a 30-year denialistic campaign where they’re simply denying that there’s any problem here. And so, yeah, this one case of 44% vaccinated is a good data point for the public to understand. Not everybody who gets MMR will be protected from measles. Well, you know, we already knew that, but it is a point for Colorado to say, if the vaccine does not prevent measles infection why do we keep children out if if the vaccinated can still carry the virus and transmit why do we keep children out of public school why would our public health policy be bigoted against people just based on whether they accepted them or had a medical procedure when a perfectly vaccinated up-to-date student can walk into a school um and spread measles throughout the school and of course they and the the blame will be on any child who’s unvaccinated there whether they had measles or not um people just don’t uh don’t understand that uh this has been known for years um health officials and school boards and politicians who vote on mandates and exemptions need to understand that um Vaccinated individuals can become infected with wild type measles and they can spread it. It’s not necessarily common. The CDC thinks, you know, public facing material from CDC puts it at between six to seven percent potential, you know, failure to prevent infection from them. But that’s a huge percentage of students who are vaccinated that could be spreading measles. So. There’s study after study after study that I’ve published elsewhere on JamesLinesWiley.com showing that you can have subclinical measles, which means you’re asymptomatic. You walk into the school, you’re spreading measles. The vaccinated tend to have milder cases, so they’re less likely to stay home sick. It’s really backwards for us to say that we then have to keep kids out of school on the basis of the vaccine status. It doesn’t make any scientific sense. There’s no scientific basis for it.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. That’s the bottom line on all of that. We’re talking with Dr. James Lyons-Weiler. We’re going to continue the discussion when we come back regarding some of these other issues out there in that arena as well. And we have these discussions because of our sponsors, and one of those is Lorne Levy. Reach out to him for everything regarding mortgages.
SPEAKER 13 :
Many seniors are feeling squeezed because of inflation, higher property taxes, and increasing costs of living. If you’re 62 or older, a reverse mortgage may be the solution. Reverse mortgages can be complicated, so it’s important that you understand the process and work with a trusted professional. Mortgage expert Lorne Levy will help you craft solutions for your unique circumstances, whether a reverse mortgage, first mortgage, or a second mortgage. And another piece that you recently published at Popular Rationalism was regarding a vaccine. She said, a rational moment, the double standard at the heart of the vaccine debate. So walk us through this, Dr. Jack.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right. So Scott Gottlieb, who was a former FDA agency chief, went on to take a high-ranking position at Pfizer due to the revolving door problem of regulatory capture, published a Washington Post essay lamenting that, you know, we can’t forget that viruses do make people sick. And he went on to cite individual cases where viruses harm people and make people sick. And I wrote this article because it kind of stuck in my craw a little bit that he didn’t also bring forward the fact that vaccines do in fact harm some people and make them sick. So he wants to present himself and everyone that’s promoting vaccination And fighting against antivirals at the same time, by the way, I want to point that out, that somehow they’re worried that the public’s going to think that viruses don’t make people sick. And at the cost of any knowledge or recognition or even a nod to vaccine injury. And yet the billions of dollars that are spent by the U.S. government on payouts and settlements for vaccine injury cases and claims really, you know, tells us that the people who are in control would rather pay off the people who lose loved ones to vaccines and or have bodily injury and harm and disease, lifelong autoimmunity and things like that from vaccines. And yet when you have a virus, the answer is get a vaccine. It’ll prevent infection. It’ll make you less sick. The logic that Gottlieb’s using here is not really logic. It’s an emotional appeal. He doesn’t really bring sufficient depth that’s required in 2026 for any conversation in public health. The public does not trust public health. The public may be beginning to reassert some trust and re-offer some trust to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and HHS, especially, I don’t know if you noticed this, but the fda just recently refused to even review moderna’s latest flu vaccine for approval that’s a whole other story but you know there’s some gamesmanship going on between moderna where fda said you should bring forward data on people that are greater than older than 65 because we are risked stratifying our vaccine approvals and then moderno hadn’t probably had the data refused to bring forward the data uh so that fda could not then conditionally approve it for people over 65 only um and moderno was probably trying to make fda lower their standards on more nuanced risk-benefit considerations when it comes to how do we use these tools called vaccines. See, the vaccinologists just want to use it on everything that moves. They owe it to their investors to make sure that they maximize profit. The best way to do that is to vaccinate anything that moves, whether it’s going to be helpful in a public health strategy, a public health response to influenza or an epidemic or something like that, or an outbreak or not. And that’s where the public trust is lost on public health. And yet we can start to see that, wait a minute, the public’s not going to really respond well to these false binary comparisons. A death from a virus is equal to a death from a vaccine. And it’s time that we start treating them in the exact same way. We need as a society, a vaccine risk aware society, a vaccine using your love vaccines. God bless you. Fine. Go for it. But we need to change the focus on the risk from vaccines or the risk from virus, which is worse to the risk from exposure to viral proteins. Once you do that, you realize that the vaccine actually can cause pathogenic priming and set you up for a worse response if you get an infection from a virus. So it’s not like viruses and vaccines live in silos separate from each other. A vaccinated person can still become infected, and that infection can have a significant clinical response, autoimmunity. They can develop Gambry syndrome. There’s a whole list of serious adverse events that are retributed to the virus, I’m sorry, to the vaccine. But in reality, through pathogenic priming, the vaccine might set you up for a worse viral infection for a subset of people. I’m not saying this is generally true. So public health will only learn How to earn back the public’s trust if they start doing the risk stratification that I spoke about earlier, start looking at biomarkers, asking, you know, see if this vaccine is right for you. It might not be right for you. We never hear that. On the television, we only see get this vaccine. It’s safe and effective for everyone. So it’s not just messaging either. We are farther down the road in understanding vaccine risk, the weakened vaccine efficacy and all the rest than anyone ever thought we would be because of the flaws in the public health response to COVID.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay, well, two things. I have talked with a few people that have gotten the flu vaccine this year and have gotten very sick with the flu. And one of my colleagues said that their doctor said, oh, this is a really, you know, really bad virus this year, and the vaccine, they missed it. They didn’t get the vaccine correct for this particular virus. And so that… That happens. And do you also comment on that? And then do you feel that HHS, under the guidance of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is getting this this narrative turned around?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, listen, on the first point, they’ve been they’ve been giving us that lame excuse for years. where it seems like it’s a shot in the dark whether they’re going to be successful in creating a flu vaccine that actually targets. That is absolute public messaging. There’s no science behind it. Oh, they didn’t get this one right this year. It’s just a trope. It’s just a narrative. And it also doesn’t answer the question, why was my flu case worse when I get the flu vaccine than better? Just because you missed it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be worse. In reality, we don’t know the number of flu cases in the United States because in 2014, CDC relabeled anything that’s not tested with a molecular test. If you have a respiratory illness and it’s not tested, that’s a positive result for some other virus. We’re going to assume that it’s flu. We’re going to call it influenza disease or influenza-like illness. So when they did that in 2014, the number of deaths from flu jumped from 5,000 a year to 50,000. So the press, Sanjay Gupta could go out there and say, oh my gosh, there’s 50,000 to 80,000 deaths a year. So everybody has to get their flu shot. The reality is that we really don’t know the efficacy, the long-term efficacy, long-term effect of repeatedly getting the flu vaccine for most people. And it’s a moving target. There’s constantly new versions of vaccines coming, new technologies. They just took thimerosal out, which was in a huge percentage. A lot of people in years past got worse flu cases because of thimerosal inhibited their immune response. to whatever respiratory virus happened to be around. So, yeah, we can’t take, this is why the public doesn’t trust their doctors, doesn’t trust the public health. We want them to be able to. And the answer is whether Bobby and his team at HHS are earning back the public trust. They certainly are trying to, but that’s not the goal. The goal is to do their jobs as regulators and make sure that these industries actually follow the rules, meet the public health standard, meet the scientific standard for FDA approval, and they are being regulated appropriately. Watch public health. Popular Rationalism at Substack.com for the big story on how FDA refused to even review Moderna’s latest application for review and approval of their flu vaccine. It’s a saga. I’m writing that up right now.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay, and you can find that at Substack at Popular Rationalism. We’re out of time, Dr. Jack, but thank you. We’ll talk with you next month and continue to do the great work that you’re doing. So thank you.
SPEAKER 17 :
You too, Kim. Talk soon.

SPEAKER 14 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 09 :
Indeed, let’s have a conversation, and welcome to our number two of the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. Thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Wednesday, Producer Joe. Happy Wednesday, Kim. Happy Wednesday. And a lot of information from Dr. Jack in the first hour. Just a lot of information. And I was a little bit confused on some things. But I just saw this headline come through. And now I understand it. Susan texted and said, well explained. So I think it was just me that I was trying to follow him. But this just came across the wire. And he had referenced it. And this is from Bloomberg. It says the FDA refuses to review Moderna flu shot in a surprise setback. So I didn’t quite understand exactly what that meant. And this article says Moderna’s shares plunged after U.S. regulators refused to review its novel mRNA flu vaccine, dealing a major blow to the company as it seeks more products beyond its COVID shot. the US Food and Drug Administration declined to start a review of the company’s application, which was submitted in December, saying the company’s studies didn’t compare the experimental shot to the best available standard of care, Moderna said in a statement on Tuesday. It says the rejection letter signed by Vinay Prasad who leads the FDA division that oversees vaccines cited the lack of an adequate and well-controlled study for mRNA 1010. Moderna said the FDA’s letter was inconsistent with previous written communications and that the studies had been signed off on under the prior FDA leadership. The move by Broussard to not even consider Moderna’s application signals a new aggressive phase to regulating medicine and forcing drug makers to perform more rigorous studies. Moderna shares fell as much as 11% pre-market trading on Wednesday. The stock had risen 42% this year through Tuesday’s close. So this is a very interesting trend. development on this. And I find this, I think, encouraging that there’s going to be more rigorous testing regarding these vaccines. And I thank Dr. Jack for his important information on that. Let’s see. As you know, we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to use force to implement it. On the show, we focus on issues, and we’ll mention the people involved in those issues, but we work to stay out of the personality fighting on things that can happen with issues. You get over into the passion and emotions. So we are really working to have reasoned conversations to get to the real issues on this. Do go to Colorado Union of Taxpayers. Click on Cut Engaged at the top. Make your voices heard on this House Bill 26-1001. And we have those on the website within each of the week that we introduce those. So we introduced that last week as House Bill 1001. They’re calling it the HOME Act, the Housing Opportunities Made Easier Act. I call it the CON Act, which is the Control Our Neighborhoods. And we’ve got the reasons why you should make your voices heard on this. And that is House Bill 1001. It’s an owner’s piece of legislation that silences the voices of the people. It requires jurisdictions requires right there to allow subsidized housing on parcels of five acres or less that are owned by a nonprofit public transit school district college or university housing authority or regional transportation authority hides the process under a shroud of unelected administrative bureaucracies allows bureaucrats to pick winners and losers. And it uses our money to do this to our neighborhoods. and so your call to action is make your voices heard i know many of you are they are trying to speed this through the legislature and we’ve got to work to shed light on this and to defeat this and so do that and um make sure that you do that i wanted to say thank you to the harris family for their gold sponsorship of the show and get into the other things that we look at here. The first is the word of the day, which is nascent. It’s spelled N-A-S-C-E-N-T. It is coming into existence or emerging. Number two, commencing or in the process of development, beginning to exist or to grow, coming into being. And we are in the nascent third founding of our country. And government has gotten way out of its lane doing things it’s not supposed to do such as this house bill 1001 this is not the proper role of government the other thing and i found this article now i’ve got to uh let’s see here Okay, well, I will get to it here in a moment. And that is, here we go, I got it, is the apartment vacancy rate. This is from the Colorado Sun from January 24th, says the fourth quarter, well, the title says it all. Apartment vacancy in Metro Denver reaches the highest rate in 16 years, pushing down rents again. But because of the government money, in this affordable which is subsidized housing we continue to see these apartment buildings that are being built and as long as we’ve got the this the government incentives which is our money that is being used for these developers we’re going to continue to see these uh what i i think they look like soviet block apartments they look like prints to me And so we’ve got a huge glut. And it’s, again, because there’s government incentives, and they’re doing the wrong thing on that. So we’ll continue to shed light on this. Our quote of the day, I went to a prayer by George Washington. And it’s a great prayer. He said, O eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, my words, and my work. Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind. and let the world be filled with the knowledge of thee and thy Son, Jesus Christ. This is George Washington, born in 1732, died in 1799. This is his birthday month, so we’re highlighting George Washington almost every day. We talked about Ronald Reagan on February 6th, which was his birthday. Tomorrow is Lincoln’s birthday, so we’ll talk about Lincoln. Our bill of the day is House Bill 26-1030, a data center and utility modernization. And again, government coming in and picking winners and losers instead of letting the free market work itself out here. And cut my fellow Colorado Union of Taxpayers members. We took this position on this bill. says the bill establishes a data center development program and a development authority appointed to run the program so it’s bureaucracies there the program offers 100 100 sales and use tax exemption for a minimum $250 million data facility projects, and it ignores the reason that new giant data centers are not coming here. It’s because we have unreliable 100% renewable energy mandated by this legislature. The solution they propose to this problem is to set up another bureaucracy and offer tax incentives. The taxpayers, including existing data centers, will have to pay for these incentives, and we’ll see our TABOR A COLORADO TAXPAYERS BILL WRITES REFUNDS SHRINK Meanwhile, more demand is placed on a declining power supply, which what’s going to happen then is the cost for the power for us to power our lives is going to continue to go up. This is cronyism that works by giving special favors to select businesses at everyone else’s expense. It’s run by government appointees, answerable to no one. And then they inserted the safety clause so that we cannot review this as citizens and take that to the ballot. And so we are a no on House Bill 26-1030. Let’s see. Oh, I also wanted to say thank you to the Protect Kids Colorado Board, Kevin Lundberg, Aaron Lee, Mark Spangler. patty mccernan and a special shout out to patty for she was really organizing the petitions in the catholic community so great job on that jeremy goodall laurie gimelstein shannon thomas and also thank you to yvonne paez who was the overseer of all of these petitions and she wrote out to holyoke on sunday with me to for the Phillips County Lincoln Day Dinner. It was a wonderful lunch. A number of gubernatorial candidates were there as well as other candidates. And also thank you to Jill Glazer who rode with us. She’s a notary. But this group and all of the 2,000 volunteers really need hats off on that. And be sure and pray over this event This initiative of what they’re doing as well that the they will get these three initiatives on to the ballot one to keep boys out of girls sports one to prevent any trans surgeries or pharmaceuticals on kids and If a child is sold for sex that the people buying or selling the child that they go to prison for life So those are those particular questions on that um we have these important discussions because of all of you and your support and our sponsors and the roger mangan state farm insurance team wants you to feel safe and well served that’s why they will answer your caller text 24 hours a day so for that 24 hour peace of mind give them a call that number is 303-795-8855 like a good neighbor the roger mangan team is there

SPEAKER 03 :
Hi, Kim. It’s Wednesday again. How does this happen so frequently?
SPEAKER 09 :
It happens. It rolls around very quickly for sure. First thing, anything in particular that you want people to know that you’ve been up to this week?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ve been home most of the week. It’s been fantastic after my last week in North Dakota. But today I’m headed to your old stomping ground, so to speak, in the area.
SPEAKER 09 :
Western Kansas?
SPEAKER 03 :
Ransom, Kansas. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. What are you going to do there?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m going to speak. Simpson Farm Enterprises each year has a customer appreciation meeting. And Simpson, their home base is Ransom, Kansas. Everybody knows where Ransom, Kansas is. And they really specialize in sprayers, the modern sprayers, to apply chemicals to farm products. And I believe this is the seventh year in a row I’ve spoken at their customer appreciation meeting. They have a lunch, invite in a couple of schools, and it’s a good time. You shouldn’t miss it.
SPEAKER 09 :
I’ll take that under advisement for next week. So safe travels for you.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, we only do it once a year, not once a week.
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean next year. I meant next year. Oh, my gosh. There’s so much going on out there, Trent Luce. Let’s talk a bit. We’ve been trying to get to this the last few weeks, and that is fake meat. You said that you wanted to talk about it. What do you want people to know?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we’ve had an interesting development in South Dakota, and five states have actually outright banned the manufacturing, production, or distribution of what we’re calling fake meat. Nebraska did last year, did ban it. And Texas and Michigan have got a moratorium on it, not a ban. It came on the floor. A friend of mine, a representative from Yankton, Julie Alk, proposed, was the author of 1077. I’m a free market person, but in this particular regard, Kim, I’m in favor of government stepping in for this reason. The free market has spoken, and lab-grown… in a cancer replicating kind of fashion of an alternative protein substance, the consumers have rejected it. They do not want it. And yet we see this global and in some cases domestic push to remove the true animal source proteins and replace it with this lab-grown junk. And so I testified on behalf of 1077 in support of it. It came out of the House committee, went in front of the House the same day it passed. One week later, last Tuesday, it came through the Senate and it passed. It went to the governor’s desk and he vetoed it this week, Tuesday afternoon. And he vetoed it because he did say that he is supportive of a moratorium instead of an outright ban. But he vetoed it because he said free market is what should take place here. I’m a free market guy, but there’s more to this story. And I want you to weigh in on all of this, obviously. It’s now come to light that there is a new… called CJ Foods. They purchased the old Swans, their South Korean company, and people who live in rural areas probably had the Swan truck come to their house once a week or once a month, whatever your schedule was. They shut that down when CJ Foods bought Swans Company out of Minnesota. But it turns out that this CJ Foods has received $69 million dollars From the state of South Dakota and tax money and grants and sales tax abatements and forgiving of property tax to the tune of $69 million. And so the true story is the governor refused to sign the bill because the state has already invested $69 million of taxpayer money in this project that’s to be built in Sioux Falls and employ 600 people. This is the world that we’ve come to where government continues to pick winners and losers. And because they had this big investment, he couldn’t veto a bill because that flies in the face of what they’ve been doing. There is nowhere in the Constitution that it says the role of government is to incentivize business.
SPEAKER 09 :
Not at all. And this is why we are, I think, are in such financial straits as a country, as states and municipalities. And this is the picking winners and losers. And that is not government’s proper role. And so that’s so interesting that you would walk walk us through this, because when I was on city council, initially, and you’ll see that there’s economic development offices at many municipalities, the county, and the state. And I love the idea of economic development initially. I thought, oh, that means that we’ve got free markets where people are coming in to bring businesses into our communities. And then as I looked at this and learned more about it, No, no, no, we are paying salaries to economic development officers with our tax revenue, and these bureaucrats then work with companies to give them special deals to come to that particular municipality when you’ve got all these other businesses that have been paying full fare and continue to pay full fare. So what you’re just describing here is, is this is not free market whatsoever. And as you were walking through this, I’m thinking, I’m a free market girl, I’m a free market girl. When you’ve got $69 million of government subsidies, tax abatements, tax money, this is not a free market whatsoever. And I’m very disappointed that this governor vetoed it. He vetoed it because of special interests, is what I would say, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 03 :
Unquestionably. That’s what happened. And he is up for election this year. That’s going to make it even more interesting. The author of the bill is retooling it, and they’re going to try to go after a moratorium, as Texas and Michigan have done. And we have a similar situation that’s been unfolding here in Nebraska. The sustainable aviation fuel nonsense, and I call it nonsense because the tax credits are what supports that, $1.70 per gallon of, I’m using air quotes, sustainable aviation fuel is what goes from the tax rolls to the processors. In Nebraska, in Phelps County, which is pretty much center in Nebraska, south of I-80 a little bit, Holdridge is the county seat, they had a proposed DG Fuels. And again, the Phelps County Development Corporation is right in the middle of trying to recruit this and get it done. And our governor… Without taking a bid, and now our state auditor, Mike Foley, has done a tremendous job exposing the inappropriate authorization to one group for $2.5 million to spearhead this project in Phelps County. And the people in Phelps County don’t believe it’s ever going to even be built. In fact, I’m going there today once you and I get done because it’s on my way to ransom. Well, lo and behold, the economic development director has now since resigned from Phelps County, and he is the executive vice president of an organization that is building an AI data center and has been permitted in Kearney, Nebraska, just up the road. He’s executive vice president of this organization. And Julie Bushell, who was the person who got the $2.5 million for the DG Fuels and Holderage, She’s the chief strategy officer for this new project in Kearney, which is part of a bigger contract. They want to build 18 data centers throughout the entire Midwest. And guess what? The senator from the city of Kearney, which Kearney pretty much has its own center, Stan Klaus, former mayor. He has a bill which is going to be heard in front of the Natural Resources Committee tomorrow to eliminate all local control for projects like data centers and CO2 pipelines and CO2 burying and all these other things. I mean, if you go and look and follow the corruption, here again, it was government grants that enabled all of this problem. And I guarantee we can find this case by case after case in Colorado. It’s happening everywhere.
SPEAKER 09 :
And the bottom line is, we’ve got to get government back into its proper role. When we look at the national debt trend, and it’s so monumental and how are we going to pay this off, when we start to look at whenever government has gotten involved, The fraudsters are right there, and those with special interests are right there. And who is being hurt by this? It is a wealth transfer from the American middle class to – well, it’s going two ways. And when I had Lauren and Karen on – that they talked about a K-shaped economy. And that is where you’ve got those at the top, the special interests. That is growing. Their revenue, their net worth is going up. And then you’re also seeing… the those dependent on government, that that’s growing as well. And what is declining is the American middle class. This is the agenda of the World Economic Forum is to take out the American middle class with a wealth transfer. And every time I drive down I-25 and I see these empty trains going up and down the corridor And or I see empty buses. Again, this is a wealth transfer. There’s huge sales taxes that goes to RTD. These all of these things. It’s a wealth transfer from the American middle class. Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, 100 percent. I mean, there’s just nothing to add to that. That’s spot on. That’s what we’re dealing with.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s exactly what we’re dealing with. And the American middle class is really the American idea, where everyday people could keep most of the fruits of their labor. They pay the taxes that are necessary for a limited government in its proper role at the local, county, state, and national level. And then otherwise, everyday people can thrive and prosper. And it… In many ways, it’s on the ropes. We’re going to continue the discussion with Trent Luce. I’ve got some other items that I want to talk with him about. These discussions happen because of our sponsors, and we’re getting into springtime soon, so it’s time to spruce up the place, and Radiant Painting and Lighting can help you.

Trent Luce is on the line, and he’s a sixth-generation rancher from Nebraska. We continue to talk about the people that feed and fuel us because they are under attack from a regulatory standpoint, property taxes, just many different things, which that plays out then in our lives with our food costs, our energy costs. But Trent, we talked about something that you’ve been concerned about, and Colorado actually had passed legislation on right to repair farm machinery. And I saw a headline that the EPA has supported right to repair. So what’s happened with this?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, Colorado surpassed this, and it should have been in place all last year. And to my knowledge, I don’t know anybody who had the ability to repair their own tractor or combine in the state of Colorado. I know that people are still getting called to come and do this, kind of like in the black markets. Lee, Zeldin supposedly did that, what you’re referencing, last week, maybe two weeks ago, in regard to Tier 4 emissions. My mutual friend, Kevin Kinney, has put together the numbers. $9.1 billion is what it costs the farmer each year to comply with the Tier 4 regulations. In fact, it’s now documented that particularly John Deere— their largest profit center is the tier four emission standards that are on these tractors and combines. And that’s why you can’t repair your own equipment. The rhetoric coming out of D.C. is right on this. I’m holding them accountable that it’s not just rhetoric like every other single thing. Time will tell if it actually follows through on the ground because so many things have not.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. Well, I think it’s a step in the right direction. And then also, the EPA made a change regarding the endangerment findings, which should be very positive as well. What’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 03 :
I don’t know about that.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
I just thought… Are we talking about what the actual impact of emissions are? Because emissions are all involved in growing food. There should not be any emissions anyway.
SPEAKER 09 :
Oh, I will find that and we can talk about that. And I have all these different headlines here. Oh, here we go. I got it. EPA. This is from CNBC. It says EPA will revoke endangerment finding that underpins all climate regulations this week. This was published yesterday. And it says it’s going to revoke this critical scientific finding. This was during the Obama administration. And again, this is the narrative from CNBC. So you can see that it’s skewed a certain way. That undergirds the U.S. government’s climate regulations and ability to regulate greenhouse gases, the White House said. On Thursday, President Trump will be joined by Administrator Lee Zeldin to formalize the decision that of the 2009 obama era endangerment finding caroline levitt told reporters on tuesday this will be the largest deregulatory action in american history and will save the american people 1.3 trillion dollars in crushing regulations And the CNBC report says the EPA took this key step to ax the 2009 engagement finding over the weekend by submitting the proposed rule to the Office of Management and Budget. And I was being snarky about the year 2009 because that’s when Barack Obama was president. And they put this onerous regulations into place that, again, this is a wealth transfer policy. Trent Luce, putting these regulations in place, that one point, whatever, trillion dollars, that goes somewhere. And the green in the Green New Deal is the green that has gone into PBI’s pockets, politicians, bureaucrats and interested parties. So I think that this is a I’m very excited about this, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m not excited about it because I’ve seen so many things that sound like it’s going to be the right answer, which this would be. But until I see it happen on the ground, I’m going to be a doubting Thomas.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, it’s a step in the right direction. So next thing, let’s see.
SPEAKER 03 :
I got something else before we jump to the next thing.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, when we start talking about artificial intelligence, finally this week I just sat down and what is artificial intelligence? And what is intelligence? And I came up with some very amazing statistics, Kim. You know what a petaflop is? No. I did. I had no idea. I had to look it up. A petaflop is one quadrillion. The human brain carries out the equivalent of 100 to 1,000 petaflops of information every minute. if you were to compare that to let’s say an ai data center and this is say at 100 petaflops a supercomputer that carried out the same equivalent of what the human brain does would require 15 million watts of energy which is the equivalent of the energy requirements for 10 000 homes The computer itself would be the size of a football field. And the human brain, in terms of generating the same 100 petaflops, excuse me, it requires 15 watts of energy. Let me do that again. 100 petaflops is equal to 15 million units of energy if you generate it through a computer it requires 15 watts of energy with the human brain why are we building AI centers well is it so that the everyday American can be surveilled like for everything they do well I believe that to be true But let’s just dissect this into the bigger picture. And we look at what the Department of Education has done. Everybody wants to blame Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter created a cabinet position for the Department of Education. There was a Department of Education since FDR. But we have dumbed down the American student population. We’re not teaching them. And then George W. Bush really accelerated with no child left behind. You ask any teacher, are you happy with the opportunity you have to challenge and teach students? And I haven’t met one that says yes. They’re all handcuffed. The teachers get into the business because they want to be a part of challenging these young minds and getting them to think. We literally have been dumbed down. so that we can have artificial intelligence replace human intelligence. And quite frankly, there’s nothing that competes. Nothing computes like the human brain. And we’ve been convinced otherwise.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, I agree. And I did look up petaflop. It’s spelled P-E-T-A-F-L-O-P. P-E-T-A-F-L-O-P. And I go through different quotes on the show on a regular basis. So many times I will choose quotes from… like edmund burke people that lived many many years ago or like a benjamin franklin you look at all of the things that they did and or you look at just george washington’s writings or alexander hamilton jefferson the way they use language and to your point we have dumbed down our society and our kids But I think there is an awakening that is happening. And with that, I also think that there’s a doubling down by this agenda that ultimately it’s it’s an assault upon the American middle class. It’s been an assault upon the American middle class’s children. that they don’t are learning to read and write and do critical thinking and write cursive and talk about our founders. Instead, many of these kids are coming back as activists. And so I think there’s a real awakening. So we’re in this big, big battle in this battle of ideas, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 03 :
It is the lack of critical thinking skills. And everybody, including myself, too often turn to that phone to seek answers instead of arriving at answers. And the generations beyond us or behind us are just even worse. But there seems to be a younger generation that is kind of fed up with all of that artificial thinking. And I think the movement is back to more things that are natural, but it’s slow.
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s slow. There is that movement. This came in here. Hold on here. It says, you’re correct, Kim, AI data centers are being built to track every American, and facial recognition software will be an integral part of that. I’m very concerned about the surveillance state. And Jenny, she always says that it’s convenience that will be our demise. I’m paraphrasing. And I do like the convenience of being able to research on my computer, my phone. But I’m very concerned about the surveillance of everyday regular people who we’ve seen the globalists have a disdain for.
SPEAKER 03 :
significant significant disdain for the american middle class final thought on that trent and we’ll go to break and then we’ll be back yeah i mean i just hope all of us take a moment to stop and think about this it’s beyond just surveillance the ai data centers are also about assisting and creating confusion so we no longer know what to believe or not to believe
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, that’s why we search for truth and clarity on the show. And I think there’s more and more people that are looking for that. I know that you do that in all of your media as well. SPEAKER 09 :
Welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. And it is February, which is George Washington’s birthday month. And so we’re talking about George Washington and wanting to learn about him. uh… washington and there’s five different times that he uh… the divine provider protected him and uh… this uh… last when they were going to highlight was uh… when new york city become a british base the common army was defeated a white plains ports out washington and we had fallen with great losses of men supplies and at washington’s carnal army was fleeing across new jersey and the fleet of the inhabitants there were uh… very scared, they were swearing renewed allegiance to the crown. And during a blizzard, Washington made a midnight crossing in the Delaware to overwhelm the Hessians at Trenton. So at the outskirts of the town, the British regulars had drawn up their famous line against which Washington’s soldiers had never been able to stand. The Americans who faced them were wavering in confusion when this big man on a white horse appeared at a gallop. He says, parade with us, my brave fellows, and there’s but a handful of enemy and we shall have them directly. And so his troops got into line. They were able to defeat the Brits immediately. As the Brits were retreating, Washington followed him on his horse. And, well, and actually, before that, before they started to shoot at each other, Washington got in between the Brits and the colonists and retreated. had them fire and so he’s in the crossfire and he was was spared and then he followed the brits as they were retreating and that was the fifth time that the divine provider protected him from and kept him unscathed from bullets and fire and fire on fire so that is the final one on that and this uh i pulled this from american heritage So, Trent Lewis, I guess first thing, comment on anything regarding George Washington, and I want to talk about property rights and property taxes.
SPEAKER 03 :
George Washington obviously had a guardian angel, and that’s why this nation is in God we trust. Hey, timing is everything. This is a friend of mine who is currently working on the Obama building in Chicago. And just as you and I are talking about critical thinking skills, he sent me a picture of a toilet in this building in Chicago. And there’s a warning that’s above the toilet. This fixture is flush with harvested rainwater, not safe for drinking. Do most people go to the urinal regularly? Seeking a drink. Is this really a critical thinking warning to put on the toilet?
SPEAKER 09 :
Oh, my gosh. It’s crazy. It’s crazy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, perfect timing of receiving that. I just received it during the break.
SPEAKER 09 :
That is crazy. That is absolutely crazy. I do want to mention two things before we get into this next discussion, and one is Mint Financial Strategies. They can help you with your financial freedom. And on a regular basis, Jody Hinzey has every month except November, December during the they have an event and to be on the list to find out what is going to be happening reach out to them and that number for mint financial strategies is 303-285-3080 303-285-3080 give them a call reach out to them so that you can get onto their list so that you can take those first steps towards your financial freedom and then also do support the center for american values in Pueblo as they continue to focus on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism. Okay, Trent Luce, this just came in from one of our listeners. When I was mentioning wealth transfer, the wealth transfer from everyday Americans, and I do not know where all the money is going on these property taxes. I was talking to a printer recently, and he said that the taxes on their building, their property taxes, was $10,000 two years ago, went up to $19,000 last year, $24,000 this year. Another one of our sponsors, she said that her taxes two years ago was $13,000, went to $40,000 last year, $60,000 this year. This just came in from one of our listeners. It says our property taxes on our building that we run our business from have gone up 88% in the last two years. They were just raised another $10,000 this go-round. So $18,000 two years ago to now $34,000. It says it’s so disheartening to know that we are paying through the nose, and that there are others that are paying nothing. When I had mentioned this bill here in Colorado regarding data centers, that they would get all kinds of special treatment. And it says we’re not free people as long as we’re paying the government rent to stay in our properties. We have got to change this, Trent Luce, and I feel a bit overwhelmed on what to do exactly. But where is all this money going that we’re paying in all these property taxes? It’s going to special projects by politicians and bureaucrats and interested parties where they can give special deals to people. We’ve got to get this turned around, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 03 :
I can tell you in my county, 70% of the property tax goes to the school system, and they spend it. We have 300 students with an $11 million budget. That makes no sense whatsoever. Our county government, county commissioners, have a $13 million budget, which… They don’t count as a $13 million budget because they get offsets from the state government, and somehow they think that’s not spending if they’re getting a state government repeal because there’s so many state government programs. And this is really a good place to start on your question. There’s so many state government programs that we’ll spend $2 million on your bridges as long as you spend $2 million of your own money on your bridges. And that’s how so much of that money gets spent into the equation. But our county breakdown is 70% for schools, 30% for the county government. But that doesn’t count that additional money that comes in to match funds for county projects. And you really have to go county by county and break these numbers down. Where’s the money going?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, and we’re seeing a shroud of secrecy almost. The transparency in government is becoming less and less. And this is not the way this is supposed to be in a constitutional republic. It’s supposed to be representative government where they are accountable to us.
SPEAKER 03 :
I understand that. I understand that, Kim. But I assure you, any one of those schools in that district where the property taxes are being paid, they have a budget hearing meeting. And I don’t care how big the school is. I’ll bet they don’t have 10 people present. The accountability has to be when these decisions are made, you’re sitting there holding them accountable and not just one. You should have 2,000 people present demanding that they be more accountable with these funds. People do not participate in the representative republic, and that’s why they don’t have the transparency.
SPEAKER 09 :
I had reported on this in the first hour in my county, which is we have Republican county commissioners that they have just stopped public comment at the county commissioner meetings. This is a trend that I am seeing now with both Republicans and Democrats. What’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 03 :
They try to stymie that at every turn, and that cannot allow them to stop public comment. Public comment is a key component, and that is to detour people from showing up. I mean, there was one of our school board meetings. where they tried to have the agenda without public comment. And I stood up and just started talking at the time that that was supposed to be taking place. And what I was talking about was I was reading a statement from our governor that was issuing a warning to all public institutions that There would be an Open Meetings Act requirement. The public comment is provided. And I literally got a warning from the local sheriff that if I showed up at school board meetings and caused problems, there would be repercussions. I don’t care. We have the right to stand and be heard. And you cannot allow them to eliminate public comment.
SPEAKER 09 :
I totally agree. And at the ballot box, we need to be electing people that understand that they are representatives of the people. And we’ve got to go to work on this. This is such a huge wealth transfer, these property taxes. Okay, final thought. We’ve got a minute left.
SPEAKER 03 :
Your answer to that is basically right, but it’s wrong. I’ve been in positions where we got the people elected that needed to be elected, and we were on the same page. And something happens when they get in the pressure of the big voice, which is telling them to reject what the people want. Here’s what you’ve got to do going forward. It is a tough situation for a human to be in. But you must show up in force and demand accountability and find out who they’re listening to.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, I think who they’re listening to many times is staff. It’s the bureaucrats that are, and they are making, many of them, King’s Ransom salaries, which is paid by the taxpayers as well. We’re going to continue the discussion next week. It’s always interesting, Trent Luce. Thank you. Safe travels today. We’ll talk next week.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you, Kim.
SPEAKER 09 :
Our quote for the end of the show is George Washington, a prayer he said, Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that thou will keep the United States in thy holy protection. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 04 :
to this great
