And it is a noun that means a politician who seeks support by appealing to the desires, fears, and prejudices of the ordinary people rather than by using rational argument. And the quote of the day is from Mason Cooley. Children must be protected, not because they’re innocent, but because they are powerless. So I know children can be empowered a little bit, but they’re still children. And we still have a world that is pretty much ruled by adults. And today we’re going to be speaking about some interesting things with Kevin Lundberg, one of them including the efforts for Protect Kids Colorado. And that’s why I wanted to talk about, use this quote about the children. Because in what Protect Kids Colorado has done, it is for the children, but the children could not have done anything to help themselves in it, just like the quote says. They have three initiatives, and we’ll talk about those later. But when dealing with initiatives, remember, the children are too young to sign a petition. The children are too young to circulate a petition, and the children are too young to vote when the initiatives occur. get placed on a ballot so that’s why i i mentioned that they were powerless because what is being done in the state to the children is being done by law and against that due to their age they are powerless so let’s hit some headlines So I was listening to Rubio’s speech, and it was really quite interesting. I think he’s doing a great job. And one of the things he mentioned in his speech was that nobody is entitled to a visa. And I think that was a revelation to some people. I think some people think that people should just be able to come and go as they wish throughout different countries that are sovereign nations. So we need to remember that. that a visa is permission to enter a country as a visitor. And I say this because I have a very good understanding of it because I spent 15 years outside of the United States, which is my country of birth, But I guess they call us expats from a very young age. So I knew what it was like to be a visitor in another country. I know what it’s like to get their permission to enter and remain there under different categories. So we need to remember that and stop thinking that everybody can go anywhere they want when they’re sovereign nations. I need you. I think people need to think on a smaller scale. Is everybody and anybody welcome to enter your house whenever they want to, with or without your permission? Of course not. So if that’s the case, then they’re also welcome. It’s not okay for them to enter your country as a sovereign nation. It’s the same thing on a larger scale. So I also liked his comment on the fact that the United States is not interested in taking part in the managed decline of Europe or the West. That’s brilliant. I think that one’s going to go down in history. So yes, we’re not interested in participating in the managed decline of the United States or Europe or any other place. And another one that came up was AOC making some comments that were not truly brilliant. I think she needs to brush up on her geography. She was talking about Venice spouting off and saying that, Trump either was not interested or something in Venezuela because it was south of the equator. So now, because Venezuela in South America does not make it south of the equator, there is a country whose name sounds a lot like equator, and it’s called Ecuador, and that’s the one the equator actually runs through. That one is two countries south of Venezuela. So when you look at, here’s a little geography lesson. So let’s just kind of picture the big mass that is South America. Kind of at the top of that big mass are the Guyanas or whatever those things are called in English. And on the other top left side is Venezuela. That’s kind of on the top side. Then right below it is Colombia. And then right below it is Ecuador. And even Ecuador. Ecuador, not all of Ecuador, is south of the equator. And then you go to Chile along the coast, and Brazil in the big mass in the middle, and then there’s all sorts of other little countries south of Ecuador’s Peru and others. So she needs a geography lesson, and we just did a little one for everybody else so somebody else doesn’t say that Venezuela is south of the equator. So the next one, I think, today is what I was alluding to earlier, is the Protect Colorado information. And Kevin Lumberg, former Senator Kevin Lumberg, is going to be with us later. And he’ll be talking about today is the turn-in for our first initiative, the one of protecting children from child sex traffickers. And that’s going to be really interesting. I can’t wait to talk to him. So that is why the quote was what it was. And also he’ll be talking about Senate Bill 26097, which proposes making prostitution legal in Colorado. So that would be the only thing. Colorado would be the only state with such broadly permissive law. And what could possibly go wrong with that? There’s two others. I think it’s Maine and another one. And they have, like, limited types of prostitution. But nothing like what Colorado is proposing. Openly, broad, any consulting adult. That’s a little… A little much, not because of what it is only, but because of what it leads to. It can lead to some really bad things with the organized crime and people being forced into that kind of lifestyle. So it’s the unintended consequences that we sometimes forget. much like with the marijuana law. I know a lot of people that didn’t see much problem with that. And on its face, it probably wasn’t, but it brought along with it a whole host of problems that we were not expecting and have turned into a very problematic situation for Colorado, bringing a lot of people here that have a lot of problems and require a lot of… money to help them through these problems and just generally there’s a lot of unintended consequences that we need to consider before we make decisions to something that seems kind of simple like if i want to sell my body why can’t i um The next thing on headlines that I was listening to and I find very interesting is that, you know, the ICE protests continue. But now now we have high schoolers and middle schoolers leaving school to participate in ICE protesters. What is that about and how did we get here? Well, how did we get here? We got here because there’s activist indoctrination going on in schools. And if you don’t think there is, I know that at about five, six years ago, My son, I remember when they mentioned it, that the whole school was going to go out. Yeah, and this is our lovely Poudre School District up north. The whole school was expected to go downtown and protest about anything. Let’s teach the kids to protest. Just go down there on a school day, everybody, and protest against anything you want. And I spoke to my son and I said, it is a school day. Why are people leaving school to go protest? You can do that on a Saturday. And I said, I’m sure you’ve got enough work that you need to catch up on and studying that you have for. So I think that protest training should be not Monday through Friday and not during school. He totally agreed, and he was one of like three students that stayed in the school, which greatly upset the staff because now they had to leave staff behind because there was a few kids that were staying in the school, while the rest of them, staff and kids, were all going out to play protester. So I never thought that was a very good idea. Protests shouldn’t be let’s go practice and plan to be protesters. It should be when and if something goes down strong enough for us to have to show our voices, then we go and do that. So, I mean, there’s a lot of things that might happen in life that we don’t need to be practicing for. Some yes, some not. And I don’t think this was one of them. So why is anybody protesting? Maybe concerned or even raising an eyebrow of how we got here. That’s how we got here. And at this point, I think we want to remember that before we go to break, we have a great sponsor of the show. Well, thank you, Yvonne. It’s great being with you and having a few minutes to talk about what we’ve been doing. And I would be remiss if I didn’t say that the we means including Yvonne Paez, who’s been directing all of the circulators that we’ve had across the state. And today is a banner day because it’s It’s the day that we turn in the first initiative that we’ve got free, but the way they went through the title board, it ended up that they’re due on different days. Anyway, it’s fantastic being able to discuss these issues, and probably a few more things will come up, too.
SPEAKER 14 :
Excellent. Well, tell us. Tell us about it. Tell us. I know we probably can’t share everything, but tell us what you can share about numbers of circulators across the state as we built something big. And also tell us about some of our soaring numbers continuously rolling higher as far as signatures coming in on those petitions.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, let me start it this way by stating that… This is unprecedented. We have initiatives in Colorado, as several other states have, where the citizens can actually initiate the making of law by putting an initiative forward and getting enough signatures to get it on the ballot, and then that becomes law outside of the legislature. And it happens every election cycle. There’s something to be considered. But what people don’t realize is almost exclusively it’s done through simply paying for the signatures. I mean, there are a lot of professional organizations out there that will, you know, if you come up with enough money, they’ll go out and get signatures for you. And we had a… It was less than 10% of our total signatures that we’ve gathered were through that. That was kind of an insurance policy, you might say. But this was a volunteer effort, and it was a volunteer effort on a scale we have never seen before in the state of Colorado. We have collected… Almost a half million signatures across the three initiatives. And the first one, as we said earlier, is due to be delivered to the Secretary of State’s office today. And that’s it’s called Initiative 108. Now, understand. When we qualify for the ballot, it’ll get a different number or letter. I forget how they do it exactly. But right now it’s called 108. And it’s the measure that significantly increases the criminal penalties for buying or selling children for sex in Colorado. Sex trafficking is a terrible scourge and creates lifetime risks. scars, emotional and mental and sometimes even physical scars on these children, who, as you pointed out earlier, they are powerless, the children, to do anything about it. It’s up to us to set up guardrails, you might say, to protect them in so many ways. And this is such an important issue here. And it says, look, if you’re guilty of buying or selling drugs, children for sex in Colorado, you’re going to prison and you’re not coming out. And this isn’t to punish people. This is to tell everybody, all the bad actors in Colorado, that you don’t do that in this state. We’re serious about it. Anyway, so we’ve got, little drum roll here, over 170,000 signatures for this initiative to deliver to the Secretary of State today. It’s just unbelievable, phenomenal. How many descriptions I can put on it, because it is really historical that this can be accomplished through volunteers. Now, you know this because you’ve been in charge of all the networks and setting up the systems for identifying and empowering these volunteers. And I figured we would probably end up with, oh, I don’t know, 1,500 volunteers, maybe 2,000, maybe. Well, right now we’re tracking, I think it’s like 3,200 people have volunteered returned petitions, notarized and ready to go to the Secretary of State’s office now. 3,200 people. And I’m sure that number is growing a little bit because we’re still bringing in the kind of the tail end of of the arm petitions for the other two initiatives there they’re due on Friday so this all wraps up this week but show are right now it’s where it’s such a high watermark I I’m I’m grateful to all the people who have stepped up and been a part of this process and I also want to give acknowledgement to the I think so many miracles happen in these last term For about a year, we’ve been working on these particular initiatives. And there have been so many roadblocks and so many people who said, you’re trying this with two volunteers. Good luck, but it’s not going to happen. God had other things in mind. And I believe that sincerely. That’s not just a trite statement. That’s to say that my faith has grown exponentially. tremendously through this process. And I know it has in so many other of those of us who have been actively engaged as we watch, you know, obstacle after obstacle overcome. And usually by something we didn’t really come up with.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right. I saw so much of that, too. It’s just unbelievable how God just pulls away those obstacles when you’re trying to work for his children. And honestly, the numbers you’re talking about, that’s just not people signing something like they would any petition. I truly believe it’s Colorado’s public outrage at the harm that’s being done to our children through Colorado laws. A lot of people didn’t know about it, but as they get informed of it, they are in absolute disbelief of what happened. this state has been doing in front of their faces behind their backs right behind their backs because they don’t know it they don’t know it but it’s really been in front of their faces they just did not know because people don’t have time to look at all this kind of stuff they’re just busy trying to make a living so that the government can take a big chunk of it so that they can keep feeding all the garbage that they’re doing but yeah well you know and
SPEAKER 06 :
And there are a lot of dynamics to this process that I think it’s useful to tell people about. And you talked about one on how the average Colorado citizen really isn’t spending a lot of time focused on these issues. And by making this a volunteer effort, where people are talking to their friends, their families. So many churches have stepped up. It’s just incredible. And, you know, like here’s a great example of Flatirons Church, which is just a huge, huge church with several campuses up and down the Front Range area. And the main pastor, he said, we don’t do petitions. We just don’t get involved in that. But he looked at these and he said, we’re doing this. And it has not only did we generate several thousand signatures out of their involvement. But it educated all of their congregation as to what the problems are here in this state with these issues. And, you know, we’re focusing in on the one that we’re bringing in today. But later in the week, we have the initiatives called 109 and 110. And it’s the Protecting Women in Women’s Sports Programs Initiative. by saying men just aren’t welcome there. And it gets them off the playing field, and it gets them out of the girls’ locker room, too. Which, I mean, those are both… Those are both good ideas. Violations of these young ladies.

He had mentioned that we are bringing to turn in our first initiative, which we know is 108, which is for the protection of children against child sex trafficking. But there’s two others that we’re working on, and that’s where I think we’re going next. Welcome back.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, yes. Thank you. And we just talked a little bit about the protecting women in women’s sports programs. But the other one is equally significant and important. And it deals with the surgeries that are conducted on children for gender changes or you know, theoretically. I mean, it’s really just mutilation of children. It’s unbelievable that the medical world even went down this road. And they’re figuring it out, by the way. You know, recently, what, a week ago, two weeks ago, somewhere in there, a lawsuit was settled where a young lady sued the doctors who had convinced her when she was a child that to literally have her breasts removed just because she was confused as to what her gender was. And now she’s a young lady in her 20s and she realizes that this wasn’t right. This was wrong. And she took them to court and sued them.
SPEAKER 14 :
And doctors should have known this. I mean, they have this Hippocratic Oath and they’re removing perfectly. I mean, it’s traumatic for women to have to remove their breasts when they find out they have cancer or things like that. But this is removing perfectly healthy tissue of young people’s bodies and something going on in their mind. So we’re physically trying to fix something that really belongs in the mental arena.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, it’s… I met with a couple just yesterday whose daughter was convinced by this school after school program. Actually, this daughter was in the same after school art club. I put that in quotes as John and Aaron Lee’s daughter was, which we. made a film on. A lot of people, I’m sure, are familiar with the film art club. Well, one of the other kids in that same class was convinced that she wasn’t a she, and that she was a boy. And they didn’t figure it out for a good long while, and they had a very long traumatic section. Well, here’s the thing. Talking to them just yesterday, and they were telling me, you know, their daughter is a healthy, lady who is looking forward to having children and, you know, doing all the things that are very much within her gender. And they said, you know, she was just so confused back when that school got a hold of her and just twisted her mind upside down and backwards. Well, Unfortunately, and they did say she probably would have gone through the whole routine had they not intervened. And, you know, the parents had stopped that. But we need to say in Colorado, you just don’t do these mutilating surgeries on children. If you’re an adult, you know, you can do some weird things to yourself. But if you were an adult… And you, like I remember seeing, it was kind of a little cartoon demonstrating the problem. And it showed this little kid in a pirate suit. And he said, yes, I thought I was a pirate. And so they took my eye out and, you know, it took, so I could have an eye patch and took my leg off so I could have a peg leg, you know. And your hand for a hook? And you look at that. Yeah, and you just say, that’s absurd. That’s just beyond, you know, whoever, whatever surgeon would actually do that should be locked up. I mean, and shut down. But that’s what they’re doing. Right. I’m so thankful. So anyway, one of our initiatives says, you’re not going to do that in Colorado to kids.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s good. I mean, it’s so, so important because they have gone off the rails with these laws and with the way that they’re going. So we’ve got to, it is a moment for a correction point. And I am so, so happy for this medical malpractice, this first medical malpractice suit, because that is part of it is hitting them in the pocket. Because obviously, mentally, you know, their value system wasn’t reconciling properly. So step two is hit them in the pocket. And then they might think twice about it. doing this kind of horror stuff to children. As a matter of fact, as I speak about it being horrific, you know, like you said, they’re waking up. I mean, you know, they’re going to be made to wake up first money wise. But, you know, we will wake up as a society to what we are doing and hopefully, as I see and look towards the future, to what we have. have done and it’s going to go the way of lobotomies and shock treatment i mean people are going to think back to the 2020s and you know just before that and go oh my god what kind of frankenstein medicine were we practicing practicing on children yeah well and and
SPEAKER 06 :
The pushback we’ve gotten from the opponents to what we’re doing on that is, oh, that doesn’t happen in Colorado. Well, yes, it does. And this is why we’re doing this as a citizen’s initiative, because the legislature is going the exact opposite direction. Just last year, they passed a bill that requires the state to pay for all of these surgeries if you’re under a state ban. mandated or a state-provided medical insurance program like Medicaid. And they went the next step and they required every private medical insurance policy to not only cover these surgeries, but to cover it completely without any deductibles, without any co-pays. If you have what they call gender-affirming care, And they put it in a very broad category, so it’s just about anything, even cosmetic surgery to make a girl look more like a boy or a boy look more like a girl. They are forcing anybody who is paying for medical insurance to actually be paying for this surgery. through their medical insurance company. And the legislature, they don’t get it. I mean, they are, and we know the people of Colorado don’t agree with what’s been happening in the legislature on this. Last year, they had the Bill 1312 that said if a parent doesn’t affirm their rights their child’s gender dysphoria, that if they come before a judge for some child placement issues, that the judges say, well, if you can’t affirm your child’s dysphoria, then we can’t trust you with your child. And now they changed that bill around a little bit to not explicitly say that. But they still put the same thing in that it’s called misgendering. And if you do that, then you’ve violated Colorado law. And there’s a new bill being considered this year that will be more explicit when it comes to parental authority over your child if you don’t agree with their gender dysphoria.

The legislature is out to lunch and we’re we’re putting them, you know, putting the record straight and giving the people of Colorado the opportunity to change this in the next election.

And Senator, you know, the saddest part of all this, I mean, besides, I mean, they should know better about making laws like this, but the saddest part of what’s really going on with the children is this isn’t even organic. This isn’t even coming from their own minds. This is suggested to them, which then creates the confusion. I mean, these poor children are literally poached at puberty when all of us go through… If anybody looks back at puberty and trying to figure out what the heck is happening with your body, obviously, that’s why it’s called the time of the change. But they poach them right when hormonal confusion, because everything’s changing in their bodies, is setting in. And then they suggest things to them, and they purposefully confuse them. So it’s not even something that’s organic from the children anymore. It’s so sad.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. And it actually starts long before puberty, because even for preschoolers, they introduced the concept of, well… What’s your pronoun?
SPEAKER 14 :
A preschooler doesn’t know what a pronoun is. Heck, most Americans didn’t know what a pronoun was when I came to this country. When I was trying to teach language and I’d talk in verbs and nouns and adjectives and they’d look at me. So I guess the good thing about this pronoun thing is now a whole lot of people know what a pronoun is.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it’s educated to that extent. But, you know, for a preschooler, it’s very normal now for the teacher to be reviewing with the children of, well, you can be a he or a she or a they, which is just, you know, bizarre English language. Yeah. And that sets up this understanding of values which is is so key to young children that that that’s where you really set in in uh in in play you know the basic structure of what is what is and what isn’t what’s right what’s wrong right uh you start introducing these ideas i’ve heard it said that And somebody said, if you introduce a concept like this to a child like six or seven times, you’ve pretty much sealed it in their brain that, well, that’s what life is like.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
So when they get to puberty, now it’s very easy to take all of that, you know, those confusing moments in their life and move them a direction this way or that way. And, yeah, we’re trying to set the record straight and to fix significant problems, to educate people. uh people as to what’s happening that’s another thing about the volunteer effort is you know when you go out and you pay for signatures and well nobody really knows it happened because usually professional signature gatherers aren’t really pushing the issue they’re just saying will you sign my petition right they’re not talking to their friends and their friends and and it’s not spreading organically across our population amongst families and friends correct Exactly. And let me talk about this, too, because it’s time to turn the corner from signature gathering to the general population of voters that will be looking at these things. I say will be. We haven’t gotten the approval yet. And actually, maybe I better back up and say you need to have 124,283, I believe it is, valid signatures in order to put it on the ballot now we’re we’re submitting about 170 000 for 108 today um and you have to overshoot it because there are a lot of reasons that you know not every signature is uh acceptable it has they have to be able to verify that this is a an actual registered voter in colorado and and you can easily lose 10 20 30 percent of of your signatures through that process. But I’m pretty sure we’re going to have that.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m confident we will because, you know, all these people that we’re helping, we’re so interested in helping and so interested in understanding the training that people had to be Colorado voters, that people, you know, and stuff. So it was, for the most part, done very carefully. So I think that we’re going to produce numbers that are going to be higher in correct signatures than ever seen before.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, yeah. Frankly, a week ago when people asked me, I said, well, I’m hopeful, but I haven’t seen it yet. Well, I’ve seen it now. We have the numbers sufficient to make this so. And so we need to start thinking about how do we take this to the general. Right.

So I am welcoming back our guest, Senator Kevin Lundberg, talking about the three initiatives for Tickets Colorado, because today is turn in for the first one. So I think he was talking about now what is the next step in preparing people and informing them for these to hopefully appear on the ballot. And so they understand what they are and how they might want to vote.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, let me put it this way. I expect these initiatives to really helped form the conversations we’re going to be having in our election. Because it’s not just what the initiatives are, but it’s what the legislature has been doing, going the exact opposite direction. I’d like every candidate in this state running for office to be held accountable for their attitude towards these issues. The people of Colorado need to know what they’ve been doing down in the legislature. And by the way, This being the last segment I’ve got, I want to make sure that we cover some of the bills that are being considered right now, because it’s more of the same. You know, Yvonne, you were mentioning this one absolutely absurd bill to legalize prostitution in the state of Colorado. That’s what’s on the table today. Now, I don’t know if they’re going to have enough votes to get that passed, but I can tell you it’s very consistent with what they’ve been doing with the whole transgender issue, which we’re dealing with now. There’s just a complete disconnect between what our legislature is and who the people of Colorado are and what they expect the laws in this state to be all about. So I’m right up to this point, we’ve been really focused on getting enough signatures and dealing with kind of a subset within the state. And we’re thrilled that we had over 3,000 people helping us and well over 150,000 people signing the petition. And now we’ve got to look at the whole voter base of about four point something million people are registered to vote. Frankly, we need to look and make sure the registrations are valid, too. But that’s another day for another discussion. Yeah. But what we need right now is anybody who’s engaged has been engaged in the petition gathering process needs to start. not just set it aside and say, well, we’ve got that done and go on to something else. No, they need to buckle up and get ready for the next step. I know for Protect Kids Colorado, the organization that’s really been at the forefront of this, we need to, and we are in the process of reevaluating, retooling, restructuring ourselves so we can now be more effective in this larger arena. And there will be many other organizational efforts, I’m sure, both for and against the initiatives. We’ve got such an opportunity to literally turn the corner with the state of Colorado that’s just been heading the wrong direction for a couple of decades now in a very distinct direction.
SPEAKER 14 :
And that’s really important.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I think this is being that fulcrum.
SPEAKER 14 :
I think that’s really important because it’s where people… See, if we… back up you know there were so many of our volunteers who wanted to have conversations with people and we could have you know short conversations you know minimal conversations but the objective was to gather the signature to get this on the ballot and so now they’re free to have those conversations like you said moving to step two to and these conversations will sort people out by who is supporting what as far as our politicians here and when people see Which politicians from which groups are supporting what? The path to a rational Colorado is clear.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. Exactly. And if you want a simple game plan, it’s this. When you encounter a candidate, ask them the question, what do you think of these issues? Are you supporting of them or not? If they’re an incumbent candidate, What’s your track record? What have you stood up for? People need to know. They need to understand this. And I think that this is going to, you might say, separate the sheep from the goats in a very clear way. And I want every… I’ve run for office… about 10 times. And, you know, usually you’ve got kind of this, when you meet voters, you have to coach them on, you know, what to think about. Well, I want the voter to coach the candidate. I want every candidate to realize when I get in front of a group of people, they’re going to be asking me about this stuff. And they need to evaluate who they are and what they are all about. And as I say, I think the voters will understand it much more clearly when they see it through the lens of these specific issues.
SPEAKER 14 :
It’s exciting. It’s so exciting what all these volunteers across Colorado have worked for since September 1st is coming to a head with our first initiative today, and it’s truly, truly exciting. So good luck with 108 and the turn-in, and you’ve got like one minute to wrap up.

Okay, well, I want to thank again everybody who has pitched in to make this possible. uh a moment in history for the state of colorado finally article one or no article five section one of the colorado constitution establishes the legislature but it also hang on a second no you’re good you’ve got a minute you got a minute or two so so yeah take your time senator Okay. Okay. Well, I had a little snafu on my phone here, but I had to switch speakers.

Okay. No worries. Oh, that’s right. It’s time.

The Colorado Constitution in establishing the legislature states in the very first paragraph, but we the people reserve the right to propose laws independent of the legislature. Okay. And that safety valve was put in place for situations like we have today where the legislature just doesn’t get it. They’ve been manipulated by outside political forces that have driven the state into the ground at, frankly, about every level of policy. But we started with the most important, and that is, what are the policies towards the children in this state? And we’re drawing a line in the sand that’s saying, if you want to be a leader, a political leader in this state, you’d better toe the line on what’s right and what’s wrong. And these issues are a clear, clear indication as to who we’re putting in charge of our policies and our laws. And I urge every citizen to use this as a banner statement. you know, a flag to fly high and show the truth to the people and change this state that’s been heading the wrong direction. in just so many ways because of the folks that are down under the golden dome in Denver.
SPEAKER 14 :
And thank God that there is that safety valve, a way for the people to then enact a law to counter the bad laws because it’s just that important. Like Kim Monson says, you may not be into politics, but politics are into you. So thank you so much, Senator, and safe travels. Thank you. Bye-bye. And so what do we mean by being governed by your inferiors? It means people with perhaps bad values, and I mean bad ones, not just different values, okay? So in any situation, again, in any situation, even in business, Just punishment for declining to lead is to be led by somebody who is less than yourself. It is a noun which means a politician who seeks support by appealing to the desires, fears, and prejudices of the ordinary people rather than by using rational argument. and the quote of the day is from mason cooley children must be protected not because they are innocent because they are powerless especially when there’s laws that are being made to harm them and they don’t yet have the age to vote and yes there is a way to redress your government through the petition process but they’re not old enough to circulate a petition and they’re not even old enough to sign a petition So we must protect our children. It is our duty to do so. So let’s start with a few headlines. So one of the ones I really, really like to touch on is I’m really proud of Marco Rubio. And he did mention that no one was entitled to a visa. And That was so key because I think there’s people out there who really don’t understand that. A visa is permission to enter a country as a visitor. And that’s not just us. That’s countries all over the world. So people need to understand that countries are sovereign and that we request permission to visit them. And then there was another interesting move from, oh, there was another thing that Rubio said that I really loved. And it was about that, you know, the U.S. has no interest in taking part in the managed decline of Europe or the West. And I think that’s going to be one of those comments that goes down in history. It is so brilliant because that’s really what a lot of them are doing is they’re managing their own demise. And we’re not interested in that. And I also wanted to talk a little bit about AOC’s lack of geography knowledge in a comment she made. And she was making a comment about people making decisions or not taking interest in Venezuela because it was south of the equator. And I put it out to all. All of you that Venezuela is at the top there on the left of South America, and it is not near the equator, closer than we are, but there’s still Colombia in between. And then Ecuador, aptly named Ecuador. as Ecuador, which in Spanish means equator, is on the equator. And even parts of Ecuador are not below the equator because it goes right through it. So that’s your geography lesson for the day. And I also wanted to highlight that our previous hour we spoke with Senator Kevin Lundberg, and he was telling us about our Protect Kids Colorado initiatives. And there’s three of them. And the first one is Initiative 108 that is due today. And that one is going to be turned in to the Secretary of State with higher than 170,000 signatures gathered by people all over the state. We had more than 3,000 circulators, like 3,200 and growing because there’s still… scanning the other two initiatives we have. And it is just massive amounts of concerned citizens, concerned parents and grandparents. It is this state standing up and saying no more on the harm for our children. And you best beware what side of the coin you fall on this one because we have elections in the fall. And if you’re on the wrong side of that, you may not be very popular with the people in Colorado. And so I think that’s huge. So that particular one that’s going today, that’s being turned in today, is the one initiative to protect children from child sex traffickers by instituting more severe penalties for those who purchase or sell minors for sex. And we want that not because we want to punish people really badly. I mean, you know, the punishment ultimately comes from a higher power, the real punishment. But what we want is something that will highly discourage people from entering that business or engaging in it, because there are going to be very, very severe penalties, including staying in jail. forever so the other thing that’s interesting in colorado because there is never any shortage of strange things going on in our our bill mill down there at the capitol we have senate bill 26-097 which is proposing making prostitution legal in colorado So we would be then at the forefront of all the states of the union having the most liberal prostitution laws in the entire country. So there’s a couple other states that do have some prostitution going on, but they have a lot of, you know, some guardrails on it. Oh, no, ours wouldn’t have any guardrails. And I’m not. I mean, as concerned, who am I to impose my values on other people? Right. You know, if you believe in freedom, if that’s how somebody wants to make a living. But it’s not about that. We’re not in the Old West where there’s like a brothel with five ladies who that’s how they want to make their money. And, you know, the miners go there. It’s not that kind of thing anymore. Now we have all this organized crime and the organized crime will. take over and then people will be pushed into that industry, bribed into that industry, stolen to be pushed into that industry. It’s going to create a monster, much like the unintended consequences that we saw from the marijuana. They’ll be the same from that. Yvonne, welcome. And it’s always good to do a show with you. And I appreciate Kim having me back on. So good morning to you.
SPEAKER 14 :
Thank you. And I know I’ve since you and I did a show together, you’ve had a couple and I was listening. They were amazing. So in case somebody missed them, you can bring some highlights of what you mentioned in those shows, too. But what is new with the border and ice and any other things you’ve got on your mind?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I mean, there’s a lot of things in my mind, but as I’ve talked about before, I try to keep it within my wheelhouse so at least people know that I know what I’m talking about. I did 26 years federal, almost 22 as a federal agent with U.S. Border Patrol, 36 years total law enforcement. I was a cop in New York before. I was a union official for National Border Patrol Council in San Diego, Director of Legislative and Political Affairs. So I always try to keep my wheelhouses as you all know. So that’s what we’re going to talk about. I mean, we could talk about gun control and this and that. I have my own views. But border issues, national security, law enforcement, that’s my wheelhouse. That’s what I spent 36 years doing. A lot of things going on. Unfortunately, some are good, some are not. The good is that the border itself is probably the most secure it’s been Almost ever. I mean, back to 1924 when the United States Border Patrol first started. By the metrics we used, it shut down. I mean, people are always going to get across. There’s no way to stop that. It’s thousands of miles. But the numbers, the staggering drop from the last administration to now are staggering. It’s down by tenfold where, you know, you were pushing two and a half million that were entering the U.S. or encounters a year, and we’re down to a few hundred thousand a year. And the real keynote is that everybody that’s caught, nobody’s being released into the United States. So that’s phenomenal. We were told that you couldn’t secure the border without Congress. It’s been done. It’d be nice if Congress did act so they can, you know, enshrine so many things in law under this executive order, which, of course, can be done by the next But the border is secure. The problem there lies in the interior and interior enforcement. And a lot of people, I mean, the vast majority of people wanted interior enforcement. They wanted people being removed that weren’t here legally. Unfortunately, when you see the sausage being made, a lot of people aren’t happy with that process. Particularly since you didn’t see this under Obama or Clinton. And they deported people. They arrested them internally by ICE and whatnot. You didn’t see these mass protests and riots and literally people interfering with federal agents. You didn’t see that in the past, at least nothing like this. And so then the federal government uses force back. And then it looks really, really ugly. I think that’s the point is to make it as chaotic and ugly looking. So it turns off the moderates and independents who supported this to begin with. And I think, unfortunately, that the left and the activists are somewhat succeeding in this. And, you know, make no bones about it, these people, a lot of them are financed by other nation states that can’t stand us. There’s a billionaire in Hong Kong named Bill Singman who’s very close ties to the Communist Party of China. And he’s dumping tens of millions of dollars to these radical organizations who then get the, you know, the people that are as The Soviet Union was wanting to say useful idiots involved. And that’s where we stand. You see these mass riots in blue states. It’s only blue states and blue cities. They went into West Virginia last week. I used to work well with the state and local authorities, and they arrested 660 people. Not one protest, not one riot, no issues. Just we got rid of some bad people. And that’s what you want to see everywhere. But unfortunately, blue states and blue cities are fighting this tooth and nail. And there’s a reason behind that.
SPEAKER 14 :
And that’s the way it should be. It should be that there’s a cooperative effort among agencies, which I understand is growing across the United States, probably not in the blue states, but there is now greater cooperation. I understand there is money for agencies that are willing to help with specialized training for their agent, their people, as a kind of like a cross-training for ICE, which helps ICE… have a greater presence and helps the local agency understand ISIS mission better. And they can, they I think believe they can get equipment and some other things through the process. But what we really all get as Americans through the process is a cooperative effort between agencies that then reduces the problems that we see on the street that are really something that happens due to lack of cooperation.
SPEAKER 08 :
Exactly. Those programs you talk about have been around for years. I mean, when I was an agent, there was money for the federal government in Operation Stone Garden out here in California, and before California became a sanctuary state. local and state, including the CHP, could avail themselves to these grants. It was free money, and it helped them buy things. I think even the lifeguards down here got cameras to look at the sea, which had dual use. They could see if people were in trouble, you know, close to the shoreline, or they could see things like pongas landing, you know, fishing vessels that were smuggling people into Mexico. The California Highway Patrol, they used to have what they called Ponga Patrol up Big Sur and Monterey, where they got overtime specifically to go out and look for along the shorelines and stuff, look for Ponga’s landing. And it does something. I mean, that’s what their job was to be when they got this grant and had overtime. But let’s be realistic. That’s still another squad car out there on the street in public view and an emergency can respond. Once they became a sanctuary state, they said, no, they no longer want to participate. So they were leaving free money on the table for law enforcement. And I don’t think a lot of people know that. But there’s also different levels. You don’t have to jump in whole hog in bed with ICE like, oh, our guys are being trained and they’re going to make immigration arrests. You can do that. But there’s lesser levels of involvement where you just allow ICE to. or border patrol, generally ICE, into your correctional facilities, your jails, to interview people. And then when they’re going to be released, arrest them because you’re illegally. And that was like a seamless operation. No fuss, no muss. It’s safe. And so the red states are availing themselves of that and the blue states are not. Tom Holman said this in the beginning of last year. He told sanctuary states and cities that you can cooperate with us. And the easiest way is if you’re releasing somebody from court and you’re cutting them loose for whatever reason, let us know and we’ll pick them up at the courthouse. We know he doesn’t have a gun. He had to go through a metal detector. Or let us get them from the jails or the prisons. Because, again, we know they’re not armed. They’re in a controlled setting. We go in. You keep your handcuffs on. We put our handcuffs on. You take your handcuffs off. Again, no fuss, no must, no violence. We walk them out.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right. We can do these safe transfers. It doesn’t have to be Hollywood drama on the streets.
SPEAKER 08 :
No, and Holman said, but if you won’t let us do that, here’s what’s going to happen. We’re going to have to do it the hard way. That means we’re going to have to target them when they’re in a neighborhood walking down the street. We’re going to target them in their vehicles. We’re going to target them in their homes and apartments. And what’s going to happen is, and we used to call it collateral damage. I think he used the term collateral something else, but we call it collateral damage. When I was an agent, we were expressly forbidden to do that. In other words, if we had a target, a high-value target we wanted, and say we had a warrant and we were going into their abode, their residence. We could only take them. We didn’t check anybody else for their immigration status. Now, The difference now is, yeah, we will. We’ll check everybody for warrants and wants in that living room, say, where that guy is. We have a warrant for where we’re targeting or in the vehicle when we pull over. Everybody’s going. That’s illegal. I don’t care if it’s your abuela. She’s going to. And Tom warned him of that. Mr. Homan warned him of that. And that’s what you’re seeing. And people are right up in arms about it. Well, there’s easy ways to stop that. Let us get them from the jails and the prisons and the courts and things like that, and that won’t happen as much. But they want to go down the hard road, and that’s where we’re going, where we went.

Thank you, Yvonne. I had two subjects I’d like to touch on, if I may. One was a woman I got to speak to the other day, and I believe you know her, Laurie… Gimmelstein. Gimmelstein, yes. And she brought up something, and it’s becoming… I don’t want to say near and dear, but it’s becoming more in my face, is the use of our students to protest and violently protest. This is bad enough for adults to do it. You’re a grown adult. OK, you want to protest. You want to get a little violent. Shame on you, but OK. But to weaponize our youth is reprehensible. Say out here in L.A., they had riots in front of one of the federal buildings. And this thing that we only hate ICE is simply not true. They hate all law enforcement. The people that got injured, federal officials got injured, they were federal protective services. One took a rock to the head. Now, I got hit in the head with a rock by a smuggler. It was at very close range. It was a big rock. But I was at work for several years with traumatic brain injury. I would not wish that on anybody. It’s horrible. So we’ve got youth. They have their pictures circulating, too, so they can be arrested that are throwing rocks and stuff at federal agents and federal officers and law enforcement. They were allowed to do this by their schools. They’re being urged on by teachers. My dad was a teacher for 40 years. When he passed at a young age, 1500 people came to his funeral. Police had to be there. He was loved. He was an old school liberal teacher. He would be spinning in his grave if he saw what happened to the profession, a lot of them, and the unions. And this is reprehensible. Now, I get that they don’t teach history anymore. But this goes back to the brown shirts, the stormtroopers, the SA back in the 20s and 30s in Germany, and then the Hitler youth, where they politicized and radicalized their kids. China did it. The Soviet Union did it. The young pioneers, they were to report on their parents. And some of these school districts are doing this to our youth, radicalizing them, and they’re chanting things they have no idea what it really means. And I don’t know how to stop it, but it is just a really downward trajectory and it’s dangerous for our youth and our society.
SPEAKER 14 :
And, Chris, I’d like to – I don’t know that you heard the first hour, but I mentioned precisely that, is that these young people are starting to do this across the country. And I’m telling you, this has been activism indoctrination in the schools. And I’m going to give you an example. About six years ago, my son was in high school, and he – our school district, which is the Poudre School District up north in Colorado – They did a day where all the children who were at school were supposed to leave the school and go downtown and protest anything. Just go practice protesting anything. I mean, what the heck is that? These kids can’t do math. They can’t read. They can’t write. It’s a mess. They’re low on their scores. And we’re going to go out and just miss a day of school and play protester. And I spoke with my son and I said, does that make sense to do something like that? And when you have homework and you have tests to prepare for and everything, he goes, no. Makes no sense to me. I said, OK, well, then I expect you to stay home. It’s not stay home. Stay at the school and, you know, go to the library, whatever you have to do and work on whatever you need to catch up on for your tests. And he did that. He was one of three students in the school who remained paralyzed. And it actually made the staff mad because then they had to have staff who wanted to go play protester had to stay back and watch those kids. So this started some time ago. It is indoctrination to create activists. And it’s not just general activists. Then they then after that, step number two is they feed him. feed them which protests they should go do. So this is really serious and really bad. And both you and I have been in the business of this protecting peace officers and protecting our people, including our young people. And this is not going in a good direction.
SPEAKER 08 :
And kudos to you. Look, as a teenager, I would have gone. I would have skipped or gone out of school because, you know, hey, I’m a teenager today out of school. That’s what they’re hoping for for these original things. It’s like, hey, we could just mobilize them to get out of school. We had a protest late 70s, early 80s at my high school. They were cutting some programs and we were upset. And we did a sit in and they tolerated it up to at the high school. We didn’t leave the ground. They tolerated it. to a point, and the news people came and all that, but then finally the administrators came out, and this was a big school, a big city school. Our graduating class was 1,000 people. They finally said, okay, it is now time to, you know, they didn’t say it condescendingly, but basically it was like, you’ve had your fun, now you’ve proved your point, you’re going to classes. And they said, if you remain seated here, you’re going to be suspended. And so basically everybody finally got up. You know, we were some of the last, my friends and I, but we all got up and went to our classes. We certainly weren’t encouraged to leave the ground and go rampaging through the neighborhood. So there’s a big difference. It is a dangerous trajectory. People are going to get hurt. And don’t forget the people that are pulling the strings behind us. They don’t care. In fact, I think they probably would be happy if kids are hurt or killed in protest. And then you have a martyr. Correct. I don’t, well, you don’t have much time, but I could talk to you. I worked with activist groups out here when I was a union official trying to build bridges. And I learned a lot sitting in their strategy meetings. They would tend to forget who I was, who I represented, just that I was a union guy. Some stuff that’s not really good. And that’s, you know, again, this is what, you know, they bandy about the word Nazis. I don’t think they understand that in that word. That’s the German Socialist Party. They did that to their kids, the Hitler youth. It’s just not a good road to go down. And these people that are on the streets in Minneapolis, they have these liberal Karens blocking the streets and asking for IDs. Wow. Again, we’re getting to that brown shirt stormtroopers that just kind of exerted power and force in the beginning of Nazi Germany, from going from the Weimar Republic to Nazi Germany. We’re seeing that here. And it’s not us. It’s not it’s not the right of center that’s doing this.
SPEAKER 14 :
Exactly. So see, the tactic is always accuse others of what you are doing yourself. It is them who are doing the thing that they are accusing the right or the center right or whatever of doing.
SPEAKER 08 :
So, you know, whatever, if you’re a parent and you disagree with this, you’ve got to make your voice heard. You know, just you’ve got to let the school, this is not acceptable. And I understand not everybody can homeschool. I couldn’t do it. But if you can, if you can, seriously consider doing it because this is what they’re doing with your children, especially in these large districts. Look at your districts and see what kind of politics they’re putting out there and the ideology. And if you cannot have your children part of that, don’t. the second one i know we have very little time uh yvonne is there’s a meme going around it started with billy eilish there and you know she’s they’re pop stars they’re they’re hollywood actors people tend to forget that’s their job in life like hollywood is to act to pretend so i don’t really take them seriously i know far too many people do but she came out and said you know there’s no illegals on stolen land and i see my liberal friends reposting that meme and and i i’m not even going to argue that it’s not stolen land that one group had it and another group took it and then Some group maybe won it in a war or they bought it. Like, you know, we purchased land from Mexico. I’m not even going to get into that argument. But let’s just go with that. I had a friend that just posted that on her Facebook. And I’m not going to argue that it’s her wall, her site. And, you know, no illegal is nobody’s illegal on illegal or stolen land. Let’s just go down that road. So in other words, then, if somebody and a lot of these liberals have nice bits of land in the suburbs, I have friends that live in the semi-rural areas. And so if people just start pitching tents on your land, then theoretically, the police come say, sorry, we can’t do anything because nobody’s illegal on stolen land. I love it. If you go on vacation and they break into your house and they start squatting, squatting, squatting. So they squat in your house and you come home and you’re aghast and you call the local sheriff or the police and they come and say, ma’am, look, we saw the sign in your window, but here’s the deal. Um, Nobody can be illegal on stolen land. And this once belonged to the Iroquois Nation at one time. Forget who it belonged to before that, but we’re just going to go to the Iroquois Nation. This is stolen land, so therefore they’re not illegal. There’s not a thing we can do. I mean, think that through. If you want to say that as a nation state writ large that nobody can be illegal because it’s stolen land, well, that includes you too then and your property because you’re on stolen land. And therefore, nobody can be illegal. So if I want to go in your house and hang out, not a thing to do about it. I cannot be illegal. There should be no criminal action taken against me because it’s stolen land.
SPEAKER 14 :
And they’ve been in the business of teaching our youth to hate America, hate the United States for decades. So this is the natural progression.
SPEAKER 08 :
Don’t get me started. I mean, friends of mine and I care about it, but they’re school administrators and they are very left centered. And they look at things. And the thing is, the left likes to say how smart they are. You know, like only they have been to college. Not one Republican has ever been to college. And even those of us who went to college but didn’t graduate. I went to law enforcement when I was 18. I told you that. And I’ve had a wonderful career and I’ve done well. We’re not ignorant. I mean, my IQ is way up there. And I just love the fact that the patronizing and the condescension of the left that you’re all ignorant, stupid. Yet they see things in only one prism. And it really does come down to Trump is bad no matter what he does. It’s bad. Doesn’t matter if Bill Clinton did it. Doesn’t matter if Obama did it. If Bill, if Donald Trump does it, it’s bad. And there’s no nuance. There’s no like, hey, Donald Trump has done some things well. There’s other things I don’t like. Let’s work on that. Like I do, like you do. No, it’s anything Donald Trump does is bad. So if he wants to remove. Illegal aliens, the people here that illegally, that entered illegally, entered this country illegally, who entered legally and remained illegally. In other words, their visas expired or whatnot. He’s bad. And I just don’t get it. And it’s a really narrow view on what’s really going on. There’s no context or anything.
SPEAKER 14 :
No, and actually, people, common sense trumps IQ any day. And I would say that now we can’t really call it common sense. I think we need to call it uncommon sense because it’s not that common anymore. People who aren’t exercising their brains. really do lose any ability to have common sense. And I would venture to say, I’ve said this before and so does a friend of mine, that it is not a good thing to be so open-minded that your brains fall out.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s a good way to put it. And I do speaking engagements. And I’m Irish and I’ll shut up and people actually pay me to come and talk to them. But what I always say is, like with Donald Trump and others, I pull up my big boy pants. I use my critical thinking skills, and I judge it on that. I don’t say, oh, Trump overall, he’s my god. Not at all. There’s things about him I don’t like. There’s things he says I don’t like. I wish he’d shut up sometimes. But I look at the border, which was my big thing, and it’s secured. When it was out of control, the worst it’s ever been in the last administration. I look at the inflation that’s down dramatically. Not so much in California, you know, but that’s because we’re a very blue state. But look at the gas prices around the country are down. Again, not here in California, but for the rest of the country. I look at the stock market. I look at other things and other metrics that matter to me. And I’m like, doing a pretty good job there. Did he do this? I don’t like. Sure. And I can criticize it and I can say my piece because, you know, I read the speech. But I don’t say, well, because I don’t like. him, therefore nothing that comes from him. It’s all food for the poisonous tree. That’s not the way to look at it, I don’t think. And I get really tired of, we’re now to the point where Activism and protesting has turned into actual rioting and impeding and assaulting federal agents, federal officers and local law enforcement. I mean, so when local law enforcement gets I mean, the left kept saying we only hate ICE. Well, now when local law enforcement gets involved to break up because they’re blocking the streets, they attack local law enforcement like it’s nothing. So let’s stop acting like we just don’t like ICE.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right, right. And what they don’t know, I mean, I guess they’re finding out, is that they just think they can have these childish tantrums all over the place and behave however they want to. But there are laws, and you do have to do certain things. And I’m sorry if you hit the accelerator and gun your car towards a… law enforcement agent of whatever agency, it’s probably not going to go good for you. So there’s just this absence of common sense of where the limits are to the childish stuff that they’re doing. So we do have a right to protest, but it’s very different to protest than to be rioting and to be destroying and to be assaulting.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes. That’s a generation that grew up with no boundaries.
SPEAKER 14 :
Exactly. Exactly. So this, again, was created. So We’re going to come back on the other side of this. And I’m hoping you can you stay with us for the rest of until we close in case there’s some questions or some callers or some for you.

Thank you. I got some dogs barking here. We’re kind of dog sitting. So if you hear me in the background, my apologies. The bottom line is, and I’ve said this probably every time I’ve been on, we were founded as a nation state of law. It goes back to the Magna Carta in England, where the nobles told King James, you know, you just can’t rule by fiat and just willy-nilly and do whatever you want. And at pretty much a short point, they made him sign the Magna Carta. It didn’t give universal rights to all the peasants and all that, but it started down that road. And then we followed up, of course, with our founding documents, and most importantly, the U.S. Constitution. So we were founded as a nation state of law. Do we want to remain that way? which has not always been perfect, but it’s probably the best you’re going to get that defends people. And people have to understand we’re not a pure democracy. I know you know this. A lot of people don’t. Pure democracy is actually kind of evil. That’s where you have 100 people and 51 votes that the other 49 have to be put to death. What we have is a constitutional republic, which has checks and balances, and it seems to have worked. We’ve had mistakes, and we gradually, maybe not quickly enough, but we fixed them. The Constitution can be changed. It’s been amended 20-some times. But we are a nation state of law, and we’re at the brink now of mob rule where it’s – I’ve seen judges. I’ve heard judges say this. Well, I don’t – I saw a judge’s opinion the other day, a federal judge, and it was three pages. And I read through the whole thing, and it had very little about law. He talked about Thomas Jefferson, but he basically said how it made him feel, and he didn’t like the way this felt. He didn’t like the way it looked. That’s not how it’s supposed to be done. So are we going to be a nation of respect for the rule of law? And if you don’t like it, there’s mechanisms to change it. The most obvious is at the voting booth. Or do you want to be, again, mob rule where you think it’s OK because I don’t like this law and I’m told that nobody likes it. So I can go out and fight it in the streets and riot and protest and be violent. But that’s a slippery slope because then you can just start deciding everyone, like, well, I don’t think pedophilia and child abuse should be against the law. And so we’ve got a group of people that are rioting to stop that. In fact, they’re changing their name from pedophiles. Now they want to be called MAPs, Minor Attracted People. So my point is, I don’t want to get down a rabbit hole here, but the point is, what do we want as a nation state? Do we want to remain the rule of law? As imperfect as that is, do we want to go down mob rule, which is anarchy, which is the strongest, the strongest have the voice.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right. And Chris, this is really important because, as you know, I had the privilege of viewing my country from the other side of the border for 15 years. And so there is a stark difference between other countries and their laws or their lack of laws or their lack of attention to any law. Because we have laws and we would rule according to our laws. And we had a very stable nation for the most part. I mean, there’s always a loose cannon here or there, but a very stable nation, a very clean nation, a very good nation, a very… It was… You know, we had some struggles back in the 60s and before that, and we sorted those out. And so we were in a good place. And you could come across, I mean, Americans who’ve not, I mean, going to some resort in some other country does not count, okay? It just does not count. Because I have these friends that are like, well, I’ve been to 135 countries. And I’m like, yes. Yeah. And so you learned exactly what about each one of those. So when you live in a country like the people of that country and you see yours from the outside, you learn so much more. And that’s why people who go on missions, people who are in the military and are in other countries and come back to ours, we practically come here and kiss the ground when we get here. And that was what we had based on law, like what you said. And when we lose that, we become exactly the chaotic mess of failed nations that are all over the world and plenty of good examples south of our border on our own hemisphere. And the sad thing is Americans don’t know that because they’ve been here. And I’m sorry, you know, but there’s like that old American expression, you know, fat, dumb and happy kind of thing. Right. And they don’t know what it really looks like on the other side of the mountain. And what they don’t know will hurt them because they’re playing this dangerous game that has led other countries to fail, to fail. And you don’t recover once you go down that lane. That’s, you know, that corruption road. It is almost impossible to make your way back from that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I mean, you know, again, you know that my wife’s from Mexico. She’s not going to go back down there and want to move down there. She wants, you know, nothing to do with it because it is a failed nation state. It went down that road from a beautiful country, you know, beautiful culture, beautiful people to being corrupted. And there’s no rule of law really at certain levels at all anymore. Mm hmm. And, you know, you could take it a little bit further, like these failed social states. I see that most students believe in socialism, which is just communism might. But every time you point at a country that failed at it, it’s always some kind of excuse like, well, the Soviet Union. Well, they did it wrong.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Of course. North Korea. Well, they did. Venezuela. Well, Cuba. But this time, if we do it in the United States, we’re going to do it right. But you can’t point to one time that socialism slash communism has ever succeeded anywhere in the history of humankind.
SPEAKER 14 :
And you know what we say in Latin America? We say, you know what the difference is between socialism and communism?
SPEAKER 08 :
What’s that?
SPEAKER 14 :
About five years. Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s perfect. Perfect. Yeah. And it’s funny when you see white liberals, and you can see it on TV, yelling at people from Venezuela, like New York City on the streets, counter-protesting, protesting, saying that basically you should take Maduro back, you should want Maduro. Wow, the condescension and how patronizing you can be is incredible. The lack of… internal you know where they just can’t look at themselves and say hey this is this is something maybe i’m wrong about yeah they have no idea when you’ve been on your knees and eating your dog because you don’t have anything to need then you you tell them after you’ve done that you tell them to take my little back so again i just hope that people in the united states we’re being divided and other nation states and i can go through them russia china north korea iran they’re all trying to divide us and call it societal upheaval it’s asymmetric warfare You know, it’s the people in the middle, the moderates and the independent are really going to be very important. And stop just watching one set of TV or media and do a little more research and find out why this is happening. And just step back from it all and say, is this good for our nation? Literally, you know, we’re fighting against law enforcement. We’re trying to pit law enforcement against law enforcement. What’s the end game? What do you really expect to happen? And if you can succeed in telling the federal government you can’t enforce duly enacted federal laws that were voted on and signed in and rule constitutional, Where do you stop, and is that the nation you want to live in? Because then there’s really no rule of law, and it’s the strong survive and take over. What do you want for your children and grandchildren, and what’s the end game? Just step back and say, Donald Trump will be gone. He’s not staying around. What’s the end game for the next president? If we do it to this president, what stops it from being done to the next president, the next administration? That’s right. Is that something you want, where we rule in the streets and not at the ballot box?

And, you know, as for that comment that you made, is this good for our nation? the obvious reason, um, the obvious response is no. And then, so it’s, then you only then step back and think, is this what you want? Then if you have been taught to hate your country, then is what you’re doing deliberately to cause the demise of your own country? Because you can’t ask somebody, is this good for your country? If that is precisely what they want, they know it’s not good for the country and they want the country to go down the tubes. Um,

So there is a subset. You’re exactly right. I’m sorry to interrupt, but you’re exactly right. There’s a subset of people that know it’s not good and they want the demise of our country as we know it. But there’s a lot of people that just haven’t thought that far. And those are the ones I want to reach.

Right. Absolutely. So that’s the thing. So the appeal and the call to action is if you, within the sound of our voice, are a rational American who loves our country, even though, you know, all countries have had their little hiccups and we work through ours, do not be taught to hate your own country. Oh, yeah, I am. I just I love what you said. I mean, there’s not much I can add to that. You summed it up well. And I’m not one of these people. And I know you’re not like, oh, my country is the best and everything. And we’re perfect. And no, we have had a lot of problems. And what we do is we work through them as one country unified. And in polls in the in the 90s and even to the or the 80s and 90s and even to the early 2000s, 80% of the people in this country said we’re on a good trajectory. We’re getting better at a lot of things, race relations, this and that. And all of a sudden now we’re told that we hate each other and it’s a horrible country. And if you fly the American flag or whatever, you’re automatically a Nazi. You’ve got to stop thinking like that. There’s nothing wrong with caring about your country. And what you said is if you disagree with things, use the process and make it better. I can’t say better than you did, Kim.
