Our word of the day… Let me get over here to that. Hold on here just a second. Here we go. It’s indispensable. It’s I-N-D-I-S-P-E-N-S-A-B-L-E. And George Washington is known as the indispensable man. And the first definition is absolutely necessary, essential, or requisite. The second definition is incapable of being disregarded or neglected. And he is known as the father of our country. and he’s known as the indispensable man. We’ve been talking about George Washington quite a bit this February, because February is his birthday month. He was born on February 22nd, and I thank Lisa, one of our listeners, for saying, Kim, really, I think it would be good if you would highlight George Washington during the month of February, and I thank Lisa for that great idea. So let’s see. Our quote of the day, I went to George Washington as well. He was born in 1732, died in 1799. He was our founding father, first president of the United States. He was the commander of the Continental Army, and he also presided over the Constitutional Convention. And so certainly he is the indispensable man. He said this, though. And I thought this was so appropriate 250 years later from our founding. And we are in the third founding of our country right now. And he said, let me ask you, sir, when is the time for brave men to exert themselves in the cause of liberty and their country if this is not? And when I say at the beginning of the show that we were made for this moment, I’m not kidding. We were made for this particular moment. And Colorado is getting to become crazy Colorado watching all of this legislation. But this is a good bill. And let me get to this sponsor on it. I think I know who it is. We’ve got a lot of bills that we’re going to be talking about today. This is House Bill 26-1104, Credit Agency Address Verification. And the sponsor on this is, I think it’s Senator Samora Wilson, but I need to make sure on that. And while I’m mentioning that, be sure and go to… No, no, no, hold on. And unfortunately, this bill is dead. It was a good bill, but I want to tell you a little bit more about it as well. Note the sponsors on this particular bill were Representative Mary Bradfield and Senator Cleve Simpson. And CUT, the Colorado Union Taxpayer’s position, was this. It says, this bill mandates that the Secretary of State will annually conduct… a change of address search for all registered voters using a third-party credit bureau, except for those enrolled in confidential voters. see cut unanimously unanimously voted yes on this bill this could substantially clean up the voter rolls in the state potentially eliminating voters fraudulently registered at fake addresses currently the main cross check is the usps the dmv and the social security administration credit bureaus will have more accurate information and will be able to do this in a fraction of the time this was done by a county clerk in colorado springs and the results were significant It looks like that this died in committee, and one has to ask why. It seems like if we were working to achieve the, I have this in air quotes, the gold standard in elections, as we have been told by the Secretary of State, that this is just a no-brainer. But unfortunately, it looks like that died in committee, but a good bill exists. and cut the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. I liked it very much. And do join us. Go to Colorado Union of Taxpayers. Yesterday I went in and it took maybe three minutes to make my voice heard on the three most recent bills that we posted there. In engaged to Colorado or excuse me in cut engaged and really would recommend that you do that. This is a tool that we can start as we get more and more momentum on it. I think that we will be getting, I think, more traction and it’ll come to a point where. These legislators will have to be paying attention to the people. I think our main headline that I wanted to mention was Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, which I thought it was quite good. And he started off with our nation is back. We’re celebrating our 250 years. And he says we are entering our golden age of America. And I thought probably one of the most telling points in the State of the Union address was when he asked all of the attendees that if you are prioritizing American citizens, over illegal aliens, please stand. And what is remarkable is that many, many of the Democrat legislators and senators did not stand. And at a time when a huge percentage of Americans believe that we need to have legal immigration and that we need to deport people that have come here illegally, This was really telling. And I thought that was a brilliant strategic move on his part to ask that question. And I think that was very telling of what is happening in America. And so you can take a look at these blue cities. They are not prioritizing the citizens of the cities. The cities are becoming third world countries. and it is because of this illegal immigration. Also, I have it in air quotes, legal immigration, when all these NGOs received so much money to bring people into the United States. For example, the Somali fraud that has happened in Minnesota, and we’ll probably find more of that as well. And I thought it was just a real telling point. I thought it was a brilliant strategic move on Donald Trump’s part as well, and I thought he looked very presidential, and he gave a number of awards, recognized a number of citizens, and I thought it was a very good State of the Union address, and I just thought that he really nailed it. So on that, let’s see, we’ve got a lot going on here this morning, and I wanted to mention several of our sponsors. And we’ve been talking about George Washington throughout February so that you can get to know him a little bit better instead of just that portrait on the wall that you can think about what they were all going through. And so this is amazing. December 4th, 1783. uh think about that uh we’re focused on 1776 but this is a long time that they fought for our independence and on december 4 1783 general george washington stood before his officers at francis tavern in new york city to bid farewell the event marked the end of the revolutionary war and symbolized the transition from a nation in conflict to one embarking on the path of self-governance This emotional farewell encapsulated the deep camaraderie forged during the war and underscored Washington’s humility and commitment to democratic ideals. Francis Tavern, a historical landmark even in Washington’s time, was the fitting site for such a significant occasion. Located in Lower Manhattan, it had served as a hub for revolutionary activity and a gathering place for the Sons of Liberty. Its role in the war as a site for planning and discussion imbued the farewell event with additional symbolic weight. The war had officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris in September of 1783, and by November, British forces had evacuated New York City. The city once a British stronghold was now fully returned to American control, making it an ideal setting for Washington’s final farewell to his officers. The gathering of the officers at Francis Tavern was more than a social occasion. It was a moment of profound reflection and gratitude. Washington’s leadership had been instrumental in the American victory, and his officers had been his steadfast companions through the trials of war. Many had endured years of hardship, suffering through brutal winters, scarcity of resources, and the ever-present threat of defeat. For these men, Washington was not merely a military leader. He was a symbol of perseverance and unity. Washington’s speech at the farewell was brief but deeply emotional. With a voice heavy with emotion, he expressed his gratitude to his officers, acknowledging their sacrifices and loyalty. He praised their unwavering commitment to the cause of independence, emphasizing that the success of the revolution… was a shared triumph. According to contemporary accounts, Washington’s words moved many in the room to tears. After speaking, he raised a glass and offered a toast to his officers, further cementing the bond they had shared. Following the toast, Washington went to each officer, shaking their hand in a personal gesture of farewell. This act of individual acknowledgement reflected Washington’s leadership style, which emphasized respect, humility, and genuine care for his subordinates. The farewell was not a formal ceremony, but a deeply personal moment that resonated with those present. The significance of the event extended beyond the immediate circle of officers. Washington’s decision to relinquish his command to return to private life was unprecedented. In an era when victorious military leaders often seized power, Washington’s choice to step away demonstrated his commitment to the principles of republicanism and civilian leadership. His actions set a powerful example for the young nation and solidified his legacy as a leader devoted to the greater good. Washington’s farewell at Francis Tavern also marked the beginning of his transition from military leader to statesman. Within weeks, he would resign his commission as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army before Congress in Annapolis, Maryland, and this act symbolized the formal handover of military authority to civilian government, a cornerstone of American democracy. The farewell at Francis Tavern remains a defining moment in American history, capturing the spirit of sacrifice, camaraderie and commitment to democratic ideals that characterize the revolutionary generation. The tavern itself still stands today as a museum, preserving the memory of that December day. And visitors can visit Francis Tavern in Manhattan. And really, really remarkable. But let’s move over here, because we talk about Washington relinquishing power. What we see down at the Colorado State Legislature is these radical activists that have taken over the Democrat Party. This is not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa or grandma. These are radical activists that want to control our lives. And instead of being representatives of the people that are trying to figure out how to control our lives. And that’s why it’s so great to have Mike Rolick on weekly. He is a citizen activist who’s watching what’s happening down at the State House. He takes the time and then he shares a lot of this information with us. Mike Rolick, welcome to the show.

Good morning, Kim. How’s it going?

It is going well, and it’s been good for me to go through these different stories of George Washington, because I think that many of these stories have been lost, and many of our young people don’t even know these stories, Mike.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I mean, I didn’t know that one. And as you were talking and I was thinking about it today, I found probably my new favorite quote from him, if I could share. Please do. I had rather be on my phone and be the emperor of the world.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I think that just hits home when we’re all dealing with this kind of stuff. We’re spending volunteer time or if you’ve been in the military or served, you know, in firefighting for police. Thank you. There’s times that people see that they don’t want to be around. They’d rather be home. But there’s such strength in people to go and face things. and to protect rights and protect people and protect freedoms. And then I think that that kind of embodies it with a lot of people. They just rather be home doing the good stuff.
SPEAKER 15 :
I can relate to Washington, and he just wanted to go back to Mount Vernon, but it was not over for him because he ended up having to preside over the Constitutional Convention, and then he served two terms as president. So, and… I think you and I had talked about this quote from him. The story is, I think when they came to him to be president, he said, have I not given enough for my country? But he he stepped forward again, which is remarkable. So let’s talk about what’s happening in Colorado. I think. Mike, we are in the third founding of our country, and I think Colorado is at the tip of the spear because what we are seeing is really radical activists that are trying to take control of almost every aspect of our lives and to surveil us. We’re in a different age regarding this whole surveillance thing. So let’s talk about a couple of bills. One is Senate Bill 25070 to ban government access on historical location info database. So let’s talk a little bit about that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Sure. I sat on the testimony on Zoom, and I did testify as well as some of your listeners that I recognize today. This is an interesting situation. First, I want to give credit where credit is due. This is a bipartisan bill. I’d rather see multi-partisan bills, but we have basically two parties. And I was also surprised that there were Democrats who… who um voted yes and democrats who voted no so some truly believe that the automatic license plate reader situation does not violate the fourth amendment based on the very basic view of the fourth amendment they weren’t really getting into the mass surveillance ideas versus the something is in the public square just to be noticed uh yes and i understand if i’m out at a store and you know I can be seen and the police can can get that information. But the problem that people are running into now is in this, quote unquote, brave new world. You have a situation where these license plate readers can start tracking movements and building profiles of your behavior. And now you’ve got an A.I. So we’ll build that out and people from far away can share that data and look into movements and things like that and abuse it. That was never intended under the Fourth Amendment idea of being in the public square. So there is a whole new set of privacy doctrine stuff that i’ve been trying to read when it comes to master balance when it comes to collecting data and when it comes to later on looking back so the the bill was pretty good at first because they were going to say you everybody had to get rid of their data within four days and it got amended up to 30 days and just uh just amazingly flock safety which is the preeminent Now, automatic license plate reader, though, Axon’s catching up. There’s a lot of new contracts by Axon out there, and they have their FUSA system. But Flock Safety has a 30-day retention period on their servers. So by no mistake did it move from 4 to 30. So that was a little unfortunate, but the bill did pass. What was also unfortunate is, yes, I do believe we all backed the blue, but I also believe the DAs had a pretty myopic view of – This technology making life easier for the police, but the police are also there to protect rights, not just to solve crimes. So how do you wash one against the other? I’m happy that either a victim of trafficking was found or a criminal was found because of the situation for that individual. But I don’t like losing my Fourth Amendment right in the interim. And it was kind of frightening to see DAs get up there and just say, this is not an affront to the Fourth Amendment. But they never really got into Carpenter versus the U.S. They were saying, you can be seen in the public square, but they never got into the data retention portion of this and how that affected. I did bring up the leaders of a beautiful struggle versus Baltimore and how the aerial surveillance from drones and that footage was considered to be repugnant to the Carpenter decision. And so that’s a violation of Fourth Amendment. And it was just summarily ignored during the testimony. So there’s more to be done. But it’s a good first step forward to at least get something on the books to talk about this automatic license plate reader technology. And we’ll see. It goes to the next committee, goes to appropriations.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. And the sponsors on this are Senator or the prime sponsors are Senator Judy Emma Bile, Senator Linda Zamora Wilson. Emma Bile is a Democrat. Zamora Wilson is a Republican. And then two Democrat representatives, Yara Zokai and Kenny Nugent are also sponsors on that. So let’s talk about this next bill. This is a prime sponsor is Linda Zamora Wilson. Senate Bill 26071, Use of Surveillance Technology by Law Enforcement.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I did speak to that as well. That one, I believe, is tabled for some amendments and come back at a later date. So there was a moral also want to make some changes as far as I understood. So there wasn’t a vote that night. But one thing I want everybody to recognize when they look at this part of the bill, it sounds really good to have the FAA rules applied to drone cameras. But I promise you, the FAA does not get into privacy. The FAA does not care about the camera technology. I know this. I’ve been in aviation for years. The FAA concerns themselves primarily with safety and the safe use of the national aerospace system. If you really want to get into these 14 CFR Part 107 and 14 CFR, the forthcoming Part 108, do not deal at all in privacy. And in fact, in Part 108, there’s sections that say they might just be using a detect and avoid system as opposed to the ADS-B, the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast Out and In. So there’s a question there that people don’t quite understand. The aerial surveillance doctrine would be something better to base that part of the drone camera usage off of. And I did do some reading, and this, again, gets into the weeds. So there was a court case, I think it was back in the 80s or 90s, where they determined that if you’re flying an airplane at a safe altitude in the National Aerospace System using regularly available technology, Once again, in the public square, so to speak, you can take pictures of people’s homes or what have you, and that’s not a violation. The safe altitude for airplanes would be anywhere, if you have a power unit failure, that you can glide to a safe area to land your plane. And over congested would be at least 1,000 feet over. Drones exist below 400 feet. So you’ve got a 600-foot difference at a minimum. And they use proprietary technology a lot of times for these cameras. I looked into the Amazon drone patents a long time ago when we were in the Amazon situation over here. And there’s a lot of proprietary stuff. So in two ways, I do believe they would violate that basic doctrine. That has not been discussed. I hope that that can come to the table for this. But otherwise, the bill is great.

Okay. And so the bill should be coming back at some point. We just don’t know when that will be for hearing, correct? Correct.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, correct.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. Mike Rolick, you are doing such great work, and this is important. Each one of us needs to step up and do one thing. If each of us do one thing, try to focus on one of the things that keeps us up at night and focus on that and make your voices heard on that, we will make a difference, and you are making such a big difference, and I so appreciate that, Mike Rolick.

Well, and it is important. This freedom of mobility is really under attack, and it’s been under attack for a while through rules and regulations and tax credits and all kinds of things. I wanted to start off with one of the articles that you had recently published, and that was regarding—we love the convenience— of these new vehicles and all that they offer. But it is also a gateway for hackers to get our information. So explain that and how can we protect ourselves?

Oh, yeah, that is for sure. And you don’t think about that. I mean, you’ve heard enough on TV and in the mainstream media and everywhere about, oh, my, you know, they’ve got your your information or you’ve heard about people being hacked. And or you get an email from someone like I get an email from Kim, for example, and it says, hey, open this link. And that’s how they get into your computer because you’re like, oh, I know Kim. So she sent me an email. It must be important. But then you don’t realize that inside it is a virus that gets into your computer or can shut it down or take over things like access to your bank account, to your private records, to your social security number. And a lot of that’s being used, obviously, not for good. So, I mean, what I want people to realize with their cars is when you get your vehicle, whether it’s new or used, In that center screen, that information, especially on anything from essentially 2010 and newer, if you’ve got a vehicle that’s that new, which isn’t really considered new, it’s like a 15-year-old car, that information is being sent back to the manufacturers. Actually, that goes all the way back into the 2000. But what they are doing since 2010 is saying what they call automatic software updates. It’s supposed to be a convenience, which it was originally. So that if you have a problem with your car, let’s say we know there’s some sort of inherent issue, we can send it to you during the night. Your car is off, you’re sleeping, or you’re at a store for a period of time. It’ll automatically send a download to your car. And it uses Wi-Fi for that. Now, my vehicles are older, so I don’t have the connection for Wi-Fi. But a lot of times they say it’s a convenience. So you’re in the car, you need Wi-Fi to connect for people that are in the car. But that’s what they use the download for. You may not notice till the next day. Oh, I’ve got a new app on my center screener. Oh, the car runs better than it did before. And that’s because of the software download. That’s the good side of it. The bad side of it is it is passworded, but not well enough. And the consumers that own these cars that have the software download, that’s done by the manufacturer. What is open to anyone is a lot of times no one changes the passwords or they sign up for the uh, wifi system and they just leave whatever one, two, three, four, five, which is, or, or they use the word password because they can’t remember it. Um, in many cases, or somebody owned the car before you and their password is, is in there and you haven’t changed it. You can change it by getting your owner’s manual and looking up the word password and you can change the passwords that will help protect your center screen. You think, Oh, that’s So I don’t have that. Well, you actually do. And the reason we all do is because we use Bluetooth to connect our phones to our cars, not just for safety of keeping your hands on the steering wheel and your eyes on the road, but also to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Many cars don’t have navigation and it gives you that ability to use your apps, listen to KLV or whatever station you want to. That’s where the secret comes in. Your phone password, sometimes children have passwords on their phones. I use Apple Pay, so I have a password. You can use facial recognition, that’s a password. But the problem is, a lot of these bad actors don’t care, and they’re happy to take that information. And a perfect example, a friend of mine, We actually just bought his radio show, The Drive, was with Alan Taylor. And he was in New York City last year sitting at a traffic light talking to his wife on the phone. And suddenly he got a notification on his phone sitting in a cab. And it said, oh, you just purchased this whatever at Saks. And he’s on the phone with his wife. And he said, did you just purchase something at Saks? She says, no, I’m on the phone with you. Someone in the car next to him pulled up and there were kids in the backseat and they had a little box and they were using his phone and took his information and charged something. Of course, he was able to get it stopped. She was on it right away. But for that to happen, it doesn’t have to be New York. It can be Denver. It can be Buffalo, New York. It can be anywhere in this country. The access to your passwords is critical to protect yourself. And that is hacking. So when you hear it, a lot of times you’ll go, well, what are they going to take? I got nothing on my computer. It’s not your computer. It’s everything else. It’s your access to your banking, charging things. I get charges all the time that I’m like, I’m not in Texas. How did I get charged for a pizza? And it’s always starts with something small. order a Chipotle or something. And then the next charge is a bigger charge. My daughter just had it yesterday. And so this happens all the time. So you need to get in front of that, contact your bank, change your passwords on your phone, change your passwords on your car, and be really, really aware of We’re going to give you this little dongle, this little adapter. You put it underneath your dash, and if you’re a safe driver, you get a discount. That’s open. That is an open connection to your car, even if you’ve changed all your passwords. It’s an open connection for bad actors to access your car, which means your center screen, which means your phone. So maybe you’ll save a couple dollars, but is it worth the risk?
SPEAKER 15 :
And obviously I would say the answer is no on that. So what else is going on? You said there’s so much going on. I see your emails as they’re coming in. What’s one of the next really important things you want people to know?
SPEAKER 16 :
All right. Right now, there’s a lot going on. There’s been a lot of gas taxes changed, including in the state of Colorado. So be aware of changes, increases in gasoline prices. Again, you’ve got states mixed with federal government. Shop around, use apps like GasBuddy. There’s other ones out there, whatever you like to shop around for fuel prices. That’s one thing that I want people to be aware of. Also, I’m noticing a lot of mileage taxes and actually Colorado was one of them. It started in California. What they did is they said, well, you’re paying your registration for your vehicle and you’re paying for gasoline, whether you have a hybrid or gasoline powered vehicle. So they’re saying to electric car owners, if you own one, and that’s up to you, they’re available, that there’s an additional fee when you register your car, especially in the state of Colorado. Now they want to add a mileage tax on top of it. So you need to tell your elected representatives, hey, don’t try this, because what you’re doing is you’re triple charging everybody. So you’re charged on your taxes. You’re charged on your gasoline taxes. You’re supposed to go to roads and bridges. We know it doesn’t. It goes to the general fund. And then they want to charge you a mileage tax. And you think, well, how much could that be? Well, it depends where you live, right? If you live out in the suburbs and you drive downtown every day, that’s going to be expensive. And in the state of California, they’re concerned because it’s a very small amount. But if you drive half an hour to work, they’re going to start charging you and they want to start charging, increasing the tolls. Suddenly you’re at a thousand dollars a year and you’re like, well, hold on. That’s a lot of money. So no one thinks what it’s small, but we know how the government works. It always starts out small and increases. I know that Lee Zeldin and Sean Duffy, the transportation EPA, have been cutting, trying to cut costs for consumers. But remember, your state representatives, they’re not thinking the same way the federal government is right now.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and this is when I was on city council 2012 to 2016, this issue was coming before us. And at the time, I saw this as a big assault upon freedom of mobility. And in fact, we had a Republican that was running for office that wanted to give a tax benefit to people that would drive their cars like 9,000 miles a year or less. And I challenged him on that and said that that is not the proper role of government. And when you’re paying gas taxes, that is, if you drive more, you’re going to pay more in taxes. gas taxes. If you drive less, then you’re rewarded that way. But it’s not the government’s, it should not be the government’s role to try to social engineer in essence how much freedom of mobility each person has. And that’s really what is under assault here. And so a mileage tax will morph into at some point in time that they’ll start to say you can’t drive anymore that’s too many miles under this guise of everything so it’s and it’s not about saving the environment it’s about control is what it’s about um lauren fix
SPEAKER 16 :
yeah i mean and and that is the problem i mean you have to look at all the things that the government is doing and the best way to look because i live in new york state you’re in colorado we both of our states sadly follow california so if you look to see what california is doing you know they’re going to try and implement that on the two of 17 states that follow what california does and this is where you have to speak up like kim did you had acts So when these people come around looking for your vote for November, you need to tell them, hold on, you’re overtaxing us on ridiculous things. Here’s something I just found yesterday, literally yesterday, and I haven’t even done my segment on my story on it. So I’m going to give you an early heads up so you can watch for this. California just implemented as of February 1st, automatic traffic enforcement. So what does that mean? You’re going to see it coming to Colorado because I know it’s going to come to New York because that’s how Kathy Hochul works. That’s how your governor works, Polis, as well. What they’re going to do is if they think you’re getting from point A to point B too quickly. Remember, we have flocked cameras, those cameras at every intersection. They know what you’re doing. geez, Kim, you got from one side of town to the other a little faster than our computers say you were. They’re going to send you a ticket for up to $500. You don’t even get pulled over. You got nothing. They don’t even know if it’s you. But you’re going to get the ticket because you own the car. And they’re going to start doing automatic traffic enforcement, they know who it is because these cameras that are on every intersection take a picture of your car they take a picture of license plate who’s in the car that’s how good these cameras are and they’re small and you paid for them by the way that was part of the infrastructure bill that has the kill switches and everything in it that was all buried inside of it i’ve been reporting on it since 2021 this is bad and they didn’t pull it they didn’t strip it because the democrats wanted it So remember that when they come by looking for your vote, say, well, hold on. You put the flock cameras in. You know if I got a bumper sticker on my car, if I have a roof rack on my car, if I got a bicycle on my car, and now you’re going to start sending me tickets? Then they go, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Well, tell them they better start reading these laws before they agree to them.

Lauren, you mentioned that it’s happening in California, so we’ll be seeing it in your state of New York and our state of Colorado very soon. And that is automatic traffic enforcement with these cameras. And I also remember when I was on City Council 2012 to 2016 that we would have public works and the police department advocating for red light cameras. And I was uncomfortable with it because it seemed unconstitutional to me because you were not able to face your accuser, which you’re supposed to be able to do in the Constitution. I also felt that it was an affront upon the Fourth Amendment where we’re supposed to be secure in our property, basically. And the thing about it is, is we have to take a stand when you’re starting to see the camel’s nose under the tent instead of letting the camel get the nose under the tent because you don’t know where it’s going to go. And here we are. what basically 10, 12 years later, that now you have automatic traffic enforcement. Again, you’re not able to face your accuser. You’re not secure in your property. And we’ve got to make sure we adhere to the Constitution. Even though it was written so many years ago, it is still relevant to what is happening today, Lauren Fixx.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, remember, the Constitution wasn’t written overnight with it. It said, hey, let’s just toss this together. They had a group of people from different perspectives, and they all knew that there was going to be evil people out there trying to do things that were inappropriate, unnecessary. I mean, from taxation to control. And for me, because we think alike. I mean, obviously, we want people not to have control of your lives. You want your freedom. If you want to go somewhere, you should be able to do that. But for others, they want to be able to say, let’s limit what you can do. Obviously, the Constitution opens up the freedoms for you to do things that are legal. And there’s a lot of illegal going on. And that’s what President Trump’s been doing, trying to undo a lot of this. If you saw the State of the Union last night, which I thought was fabulous, a lot of it was undoing some of these regulations, some of these laws that were against the American people. And I’m sure you’ve been discussing it all morning and you will continue to discuss it. But when you’re looking at something like this. This is using technology that you paid for. So this came out of your tax dollars, both state and federal and local. And then they put up cameras and then they pick at you because they think that you’re either doing something wrong or not. And the thing is with these cameras is you think, well, if I was speeding, I should get a ticket. All right, that’s fine. But what if you’re not? Because the thing is, it can make a decision. it’s based on computers this is not based on a person sitting going oh no no you didn’t run that that internet light or whatever but it can make that decision computers are not always right we’ve all had to reset our computers reset our phones things lock up well computers making decisions is not just the cameras it’s also in your car and that’s probably we’ve talked about in the past with kill switches you have to be careful what you allow in because it’s against the constitution which was written for your freedom it wasn’t meant to be altered like they’ve altered it over the years there’s gonna be a lot of changes i think over the next two years under president trump undoing some of these rules and regulations the thing is they have to be codified from executive orders into law um president trump asked for that last night on a few things which he’s right and that needs to be done a lot of times the executive orders are only good until the next administration comes in now if it’s someone like jd vance or marco rubio they’ll continue to carry that on but if it isn’t and anything can happen that’s when you have to be concerned because the next time someone on the left gets in they’re going to want even more control and they’ve already called it out susan rice and i usually don’t get into politics like you do but when susan rice gets out on public and says next time we’re in office watch out we’re going to come get all of you hold on that’s a threat that’s a problem and we really need to be aware of that and you need to remember before you go and just vote whatever or don’t go and vote it’s a big mistake because that means more control from the left
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and I thought a real telling moment last night during the State of the Union address, and I mentioned it earlier today, was when Trump basically said, if you prioritize American citizens over illegal immigrants, stand up. And it was remarkable. They did not stand up. That was amazing to me.
SPEAKER 16 :
That was amazing. I watched that and I said, that was really stupid because if you don’t stand up you just let your voters know that you’re not important to them but you wanted to vote you wanted to control those people and anyone who didn’t see that i hope whoever is on the right uses every single moment of that in every single political ad because it’s exactly what they’re doing
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and I thought it was true colors. They showed their true colors. Well, it was brilliant on Trump’s part to ask that question. So it’s not just on illegal immigration. Basically, it was telling regarding all of these issues. And what we are seeing with this agenda of the World Economic Forum is an assault upon everyday people’s freedoms. You’re not going to see mileage taxes on these billionaires and their jets or anything like that. What this is, is this has been a huge wealth transfer from everyday, hardworking Americans. So, for example, the gas taxes in California… Who does that hurt? That hurts the everyday people that want to have the freedom to go to their job, you know, the construction worker. They need to be able to go to these different jobs. And so these taxes and fees are a huge wealth transfer from everyday Americans. And then that money is being used to limit their freedoms and to tax them or fee them or give them tickets. And so we are at a really important time in our country because the assault on this and when all those Democrats did not stand up, it showed that the assault is really upon everyday Americans. And I thought, again, it was just it was a really telling moment. We’ve got a couple of minutes.
SPEAKER 16 :
I’ve watched a lot. I watch a lot of State of the Union. I sat there for two hours. I never sit down for two hours. I was totally engaged. I had a lot of friends texting me going, wow, America’s back to hear that from people who are sort of a little black pilled, you know, like, yeah, we’ll see what happens. to say, wow, that was great. And the fact is they gave President Trump two hours and he took every second of it. But not standing up for people that were injured, not standing up for the hockey players, not standing up for all the things that these people have risked their own lives or lost loved ones, says a lot about them, that you don’t matter. and you need to start talking to people having conversations we need to spread the word because if we don’t these people are going to get back in office and remember the midterms are going to be critical or they’re going to make a mess and try and go after trump again and not get anywhere and so in order for us to continue winning as he puts it you’re going to have to go out you’re going to have to vote bring people with you even no matter what and there’s looks like there’s going to be voter id one way or the other which you should have been from the beginning

And yes, absolutely. And again, I thought it was brilliant as well. I thought it was a great strategic moment. We’ve got a minute left. Lauren Fix, how do you want to wrap this up?

But I think the most telling thing was, and great from a strategic standpoint, Because he basically asked the room, if you are prioritizing American citizens over illegal immigrants, stand up. And basically, there might have been a couple of Democrats that stood up, but they sat. and that is very telling it’s not just on this particular issue but it shows that the priorities are not the american citizen and that should be the priorities of our elected representatives so i thought it was an excellent uh strategic move by donald trump during the state of the union address lauren fix said she watched all two hours i did as well took a ton of notes and it was really a very presidential state of the union address We are at a critical time with the midterms coming up, and we have seen a number of election bills here in Colorado, which are not, well, the ones that are being proposed by the Democrats are not moving us to freer, fairer, honest, and transparent elections. And if we don’t have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections, we don’t have a country. What we have is authoritarianism, totalitarianism, and that is what we’re living here in Colorado at this particular point in time. And so the ballot box is so important. Free, fair, honest, and transparent elections are so important as well, which that segues right into our bill of the day, which is House Bill… 1104 credit agency voter address verification. It seems like it would be a no brainer that everybody would want to make sure that this occurs. The sponsors on this are Republicans, Representative Mary Bradfield and Senator Cleve Simpson. Apparently, I think this died in committee. One has to ask why. But this has cut the Colorado Union of Taxpayers’ position on it. It says the bill mandates that the Secretary of State will annually conduct a change of address search for all registered voters using a third-party credit bureau, except for those enrolled as confidential voters or those enrolled in the address confidentiality program, which would be many, maybe, of our first responders, law enforcement, and so wanting to protect their… private information. CUT unanimously voted yes on this bill. This could substantially clean up the voter rolls in this state, potentially eliminating voters fraudulently registered at fake addresses. Currently, the main crosscheck is the USPS, the DMV, and the Social Security Administration. Credit bureaus will have more accurate information and will be able to do this in a fraction of the time. and this was done by county clerk in colorado springs and the results were significant and so we obviously were a yes on that and did want to say thank you to our board members for cut the colorado union of taxpayers steve norman greg golianski russ haas bill hamill rob knuth john nelson wendy warner marty nielsen raymie johnson mary jansen dave evans quote corey onazorg paula beard and ray beard Our word of the day, because we’re highlighting George Washington during his birthday month, is indispensable, because he’s known as the indispensable man. And indispensable is spelled I-N-D-I-S-P-E-N-S-A-B-L-E. And first definition is absolutely necessary, essential, or requisite. number two incapable of being disregarded or neglected and george washington was clearly the indispensable man he was the commander of the continental army he was over presided over the constitutional convention and he was our first president he was born in 1732 died in 1799 and this is his quote and he said this he said let me ask you sir When is the time for brave men to exert themselves in the cause of liberty and their country if this is not? And hey, what do you think about the State of the Union address and what does the markets think about the State of the Union address from last night?
SPEAKER 08 :
So I can answer half that question because quite honestly, I was working in my office last night and did not watch it. So I apologize for that. But I haven’t had a chance this morning to review it yet. But the markets are positive on it. The stock market is looking like it’s going to be up today. And it hasn’t been a huge effect on the bond market, which is always my concern, because anytime there’s something that’s considered news driven, it can move the mortgage market, you know, sometimes significantly throughout the day. So depending on I was curious about Iran, things like, you know, comments about Iran, because that can really move markets as far as bonds go. So far this morning, it’s been gentle, not a lot going on, which is great because the 10-year treasury has been hovering down in the lower fours around 405 right now, which is creating quite a bit of opportunity for people who have higher rates to refinance and get it down to lower rates.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, and it doesn’t cost anything for people to give you a call regarding taking a look at a refinance, right?
SPEAKER 08 :
Absolutely no. It’s always best to just take a look. We’ll never try to steer someone into a loan that they don’t need or that doesn’t benefit them. And it’s good to know. It’s good to know what that point is. If we’re not there yet, at least people can find out where that point is. So when we hit it, if rates do come down even further, we can just quickly get moving. So yeah, the call is always free. The conversation is free.
SPEAKER 15 :
What kind of costs are involved in refinancing? Because I know some people are saying, I want to wait because there’s these costs that are involved. What does that look like?
SPEAKER 08 :
So there’s definitely closing costs. And if people don’t purchase points or don’t buy their rate down, a lot of it depends on the loan size because the title fees charged by title companies are on a scale by loan size. But let’s just say there’s always going to be a break-even analysis done that we do. So if we can save someone $350 a month, but it costs $3,000 to refi, well, in eight or nine months, they’ve got that money back. And that is a really good break-even. We try to see if they’ll break even around a year to 15 months, and that is considered very worthwhile. We don’t want to do a loan for someone and then have their break-even be four years from now. That doesn’t really help them. So we want to make sure that it makes sense, and that’s part of the calculation is seeing what the costs are and figuring out what the break-even analysis is and seeing if it makes sense.

Yeah, I was traveling last week, so it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve talked. What have you been up to?
SPEAKER 09 :
Oh, were you gone?

Oh, no, we had a fantastic discussion. It was like, Kim who?
SPEAKER 15 :
Actually, getting messages on the text line, it sounds like you did have great conversations. And I thought, I need to come back. Otherwise, you guys won’t miss me.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s a true story. We’re glad you’re here. We’ll keep you around a little longer.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. Sounds good. So what has been going on? What are you watching right now?
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m watching a lot, but being forced to watch this AI data center thing closer than I want to, which I didn’t get a chance to listen to your first hour, but Kelly was telling me about your guest. And I think that the nefarious reason for needing all of this data computation is beginning to shine through. There is no, I cannot in my mind rationalize why we have this race, this race, against China to have more AI data centers. And we’re already in the lead by, what, a thousand times? What is the purpose of all of this data? I think you walked through a lot of it, as I heard.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, it’s about power and control, ultimately. Because from a military standpoint, I understand that there’s important things from a military standpoint that we need to stay on cutting edge. But these data centers, this is not for military or anything like that. This is… Tracking our every move. And one of the things that Lauren Fix said that is coming into California is traffic enforcement. So if the computer can determine that you got from point A to point B faster than you should have, then you will automatically get a ticket. And this is an affront upon our Constitution where you’re to be able to face your accuser and also an affront upon the Fourth Amendment, our privacy. And so these data centers, they’re not about helping you finish a sentence or helping you write a paper or anything. anything like that, we can see the nefarious uses that this is headed towards, and it’s already coming into being in California, which means it will be coming to Colorado very soon.
SPEAKER 09 :
So just think about it locally. By the way, it’s already happening. We have it in Sherman County, our small town. I just learned as well that we authorized to do that same thing in Loop City population, 800 people. But let’s bring it local for everybody listening right now. How many of us have driven from Brighton down to Interstate 70 and we had to stop every time and go through that toll booth, right, and pay your toll to be on that toll road? And how handy is it now? You don’t have to stop. You just get a bill in the mail a month later. Do you ever stop to think about what’s really happening there?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I have stopped to think.
SPEAKER 09 :
Not to stop. But look, they know where you’re at all the time.
SPEAKER 15 :
I know. I know. And they and I wonder exactly who they is. But if they decide, well, going back to COVID, when they said that there were businesses that were essential and businesses that weren’t or that there were people that were essential and people that weren’t, that was And that particular realization at that point in time, Trent, terrified me. I’ll just put it that way. Because in the American idea that all men are created equal, that means that we’re equal, not that one is more essential than the other. And you’re going directly to 1984, the book 1984, as we’re looking at that. So fast forward here. Now, after COVID, they know where you are. all the time and if you’re someplace where they don’t think you should be or if you got there faster that is a real problem which then that means that that’s what these data centers are doing and so and that’s why i think there’s been such a rush to try to get them constructed before people really realized what’s happening with them
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m currently, my phone is ringing four times a day just with somebody wanting data center help. And I don’t know if you heard about Darren. Last week I’ve been talking to Darren. I’m not going to name his last name on purpose for this moment because he’s in the middle of an arraignment. He showed up at Rogers County, Oklahoma. He’s from the neighboring county. And some folks in Rogers County asked him to come to Claymore, Oklahoma, because Claymore, the city, is entertaining building an AI data center, and they had their public hearing. Darren spoke three minutes and seven seconds. Now, this is all on tape. You can watch it. he actually was at the podium longer. The crowd actually erupted a couple of times, and they were just all lathered up because he was just calling out the facts. When he got done speaking at this public hearing, there were two city police officers and a city detective standing behind him. They literally got their handcuffs out and arrested him for trespassing because he spoke seven seconds too long in that meeting. That happened on Tuesday a week ago, and he was to be arraigned in the city court on Thursday at 1 o’clock. That was canceled Thursday morning. I don’t know what the status is as we sit here and speak. I’ll talk to him today. But that’s how desperate they are to get these data centers built. Now, I’ve also been working in Sedgwick County, Kansas this week because there’s potentially a 12 plan for Sedgwick County, which is Wichita. They’re already doing things, and there is currently a pause on any permitting of AI data centers until the third week of April. And yet they’re already surveying and they’re doing other things. In North Dakota, I’ve got three new potential sites. I have seen the bids that have been submitted for doing the dirt work on these three sites. And no county commission has even had a proposal come in front of them yet. They’re already doing work like they’re permitted on these facilities. Oh, and I left out the part about the one in Rogers County, Oklahoma. They have not permitted that facility where Darren was arrested for trespassing. But they have delivered $950,000 worth of electrical equipment to the proposed site.
SPEAKER 15 :
Who is the they on this? It goes back probably to the World Economic Forum, yes?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, it seems like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel are in the middle of this. And while I’m not going to excuse the World Economic Forum, because now the chairman, Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, you know, they’re in the middle of everything. But I actually re-aired a piece that I did in May of last year when Trump led all of the American-based AI companies to Saudi Arabia. And they came out of that with this great big old smile and the billions of dollars that they were pulling from Saudi Arabia to build this. I can’t really get my finger on exactly who it is. I do know that Tennessee Valley Authority, which is the largest electric producing facility network in the nation. They decided to reconsider and not retire a coal plant that was scheduled to be retired this year because they figured out they cannot keep up with the demand for electricity. And I thought, well, this is refreshing. This is a bit of good news. But then before they finished explaining why they’re doing this, the main reason was that Elon Musk was going to double his requirement for AI data centers. We just simply cannot. And then today I learned that we have in the Space Force, we’re building AI data centers in space. And they supposedly have one that’s already consuming five gigawatts of electricity to generate data from space. So it’s just like I’m perplexed to figure what exactly is going on. And it’s not to benefit mankind. I’m just telling you that right now.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, I don’t think so either. And one of our listeners texted me this last week regarding Colorado is losing Palantir, which Palantir has been… big AI company and the founders include billionaires Peter Thiel and Alex Karp and they’re moving to Miami now there’s not Colorado is not a huge data center state right now we certainly have data centers which I’m actually pretty pleased about that but Also, from an economic standpoint, the fact that this large company is moving out of Colorado is showing that Colorado is really in decline right now, Trent Luce. And like many of these blue cities, That they’re in decline. They’re becoming like third world countries. I drive downtown. There’s trash everywhere. And I’m just I mourn this beautiful city that I loved. And these radical activists, blue Democrats, mayors and governors are running our beautiful cities into the ground right now. And Colorado is, I really think, at the tip of the spear on that. We’re going to talk about some of the legislation down at the Statehouse. Before we go to break, how do you want to wrap this up, Trent Luce?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, my quick AI search, and I did that on purpose because I try to refuse to use AI. I don’t want to contribute, but in this case, I wanted to use AI against AI. There’s currently 60 AI data centers in Colorado, and they plan to be at 80 within 30 days. and they’re all along the front range. I don’t have the data on the amount of electricity they’re consuming, but without a doubt, it’s chasing your electricity higher. It came out yesterday that across the board, state by state, we’re 6.3% higher than we were 12 months ago for electric cost.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and what this is, is this is a wealth transfer. The higher energy costs, higher taxes, higher fees, just all of these chipping away. It is a wealth transfer from the American middle class. to billionaires in many ways, but well, to politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. I’ll just put it that way, those PBIs. And this wealth transfer is an assault upon the American middle class. And the American middle class, we have it because of what it was a limited government with these rights from God, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness. We’re all created equal. What happened? Well, everyday people could thrive and prosper. That is under attack. And it is a wealth transfer away from the American the American public economy. And the middle class. So we’re going to continue the discussion. I’m talking with Trent Luce. He is a rancher from Nebraska. We’re talking about the people that feed and fuel us. And these higher energy costs because of these AI data centers and also because of rules and regulations and fees is a big wealth transfer from everyday hardworking people. And one of our listeners, Mark, texted in and said that the they is the government, and the government is in bed with big business. So I call them PBIs. It’s politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. And that, I think, is the big they in that. Your comment on that, Trent Luce?
SPEAKER 09 :
I agree 100%, but I don’t believe it’s just the U.S. government. I believe it’s the governing entity, the same people that control every aspect of food to energy to shelter, everything that we need. I did just get one more bit of data that’s relevant. In Aurora, there is one AI data center that It uses 177 megawatts. And the reason the electric companies like these data centers is because they have a steady use. They don’t have peak, off-peak, and that pulsating use. They have a steady use. But to put that into context, 177 megawatts is about the equivalent of 175,000 homes. Now, keep in mind, this is one of 60 currently operating, and I’ve been largely critical of Cheyenne that has approved two megadata centers in the past six months, one at 5 gig and the other one at 7. That’s gigawatts. And that is the equivalent of 12 times… All of the households in the state of Wyoming had two buildings. But see, Kim, the other part that comes along with this is not just the use of the electricity. They don’t have the infrastructure to get the electricity there. And so then what happens next? Hello, Kiowa, Colorado. You have to have a whole new infrastructure built, land consumed, and property rights trampled upon in order to get the power and the water. Because that water is being used somewhere else. And we’re at a time… I don’t know how much time you’ve spent on the lack of water in the Colorado River, but this drought, and we’re 65% now through the snow season in the Rockies, and we’re desperately short on moisture. All of those things are going to contribute to some trying times, largely to what’s been going on with the data center world.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right. How do we turn this around?
SPEAKER 09 :
I don’t have an answer other than the same answer I have all of the time. And we continue to get down this road and people I had somebody tell me something that everybody should have known. Doesn’t matter what the issue was, but I had somebody say, let’s first have heard of this. I’ve been yelling about it for three years. Now, you could say I’m not effective, but if I’m yelling about it, you’re yelling about it. Other people are yelling about it. How do we get people to stop from their hamster wheel life and say there’s something going on here? We need more transparency. And what is happening in every one of these situations is. And I’m seeing that the AI developers, they get a hold of the county commissioners, the authoritative body ahead of time. They don’t go see them together. They sort them off. They invite them for a special tour. They do this. They do that. So then they’re doing their homework before it’s even presented to the commission to make the approval. So the decision was made before the public has access to the information. We, the public, must demand transparency. I mean, loudly.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, and the other thing is, bottom line, I’ve been connecting this dot of a wealth transfer. And obviously, with all of the surveillance, that is a real problem. But you’re mentioning these transmission lines. And I was talking with a farmer in western Kansas, and all of the sudden they, like Windy Volk up in Wyoming, got wind that there is potential transmission lines that are going to be going right by their property. And so that property will be taken. ostensibly by eminent domain. So this is all a wealth transfer, again from everyday Americans. And the everyday American is who is under assault. And Last night during the State of the Union address, when Trump asked if you were prioritizing, and I’m paraphrasing, prioritizing American citizens over illegal immigrants, please stand. And half the room did not stand, which I thought was really a telling moment. who is really under assault is everyday Americans. Joe, during the break, said, Kim, do you not realize that it’s everyday Americans that the labor is being used to build these data centers? And that, of course, they’re being paid, but yet it’s going to be a wealth transfer from the people that are building that. And I had been thinking about this on the whole Green New Deal. There’s well-meaning people that had jobs pushing forward the agenda of the climate crisis. That’s why check out our documentary, A Climate Conversation, to get more information about, you know, just that issue. But well-meaning people had jobs at these companies. They were making a living, but it was a wealth transfer from everyday working people, but yet people had jobs doing that. I mean, it’s really, it’s really, it’s kind of almost diabolical the way this whole thing is playing out right now.
SPEAKER 09 :
It is, because even the people, the only jobs created are the construction jobs, and they’re very short-term. They do not have a long-term effect. The state of Kansas, you know why Kansas is such a free-for-all? They gave a two-year complete tax abatement to anybody that wanted to build an AI data center. Why do we have these… policymakers who want to build an economy locally for giving all tax at the same time that they’re spending like they’ve never spent before. So none of that makes any sense. And I’ve been on these job sites, whether it be Wynn, CO2 Pipeline, or AI Data Center. They don’t hire local people. They’re typically foreign investors who bring in out-of-state people to work for a short period of time. They’re in, they build it, they’re gone. It’s exporting the resources of that region at the expense of the local taxpayer who had to forfeit all of their tax base to this to make it happen, and then the entity itself doesn’t pay taxes. It’s diabolical. It’s a perfect word. I’ve never used it. I’m going to steal it from you.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. And we had a, and I don’t know the bill number, but we have a piece of legislation here in Colorado that for a data center, $250 million or above, that they were getting a break on their property taxes as well. And again, now this is another wealth transfer because you don’t see government reducing their spending. So who’s going to make that up? It’s the everyday business. Coloradan, everyday American. And so we are so under assault. But Trent, we’re going to change gears on this. And I had three pieces of legislation that I wanted to talk with you about. The first one, let me get to it, is House Bill 1011. So this is a priority. It’s the 11th bill that was introduced in the House. The representatives or the sponsors are Representative Monica Duran, Representative Karen McCormick, Senator Robert Rodriguez, and its transfers of certain pet animals. Basically, it’s going to outlaw the sale of dogs and cats at pet stores unless the dog or cat is a rescue. And I mentioned it to someone who is conservative here. and she said, well, Kim, I think they’re trying to get rid of puppy mills. And I kind of stopped. I thought, gosh, I saw this as a real assault of taking away choice and freedom, but she saw it as protecting animals. What’s your thoughts on this?
SPEAKER 09 :
The whole concept of puppy mills is to create a mindset of eliminating pets, period. I don’t buy that. In fact, this is something that I’ve spent a lot of time on the last three weeks. I don’t know that you know that. But February 18th, once again, the USDA, Laura Trump, Pam Bondi, Bob Kennedy announced this whole campaign to crack down on dog abusers and puppy mills. And what’s a puppy mill? Well, they consider anything more than four breeding females to be a puppy mill. We have states that now do not allow you to breed dogs. California, you have to neuter all of them. We have a need for 9 million replacement dogs in the United States each year. Through licensed, USDA-licensed dog breeders, we cannot generate 2 million dogs at the current status of what we have. There is another problem with all of this. Thanks to an act enacted by Congress, you can actually go access dogs The name, address, and phone number of every registered, I believe it was 2,416, 2,416 licensed dog breeders in the United States. Since the Trump administration had put together this new campaign, and they took it to a whole new level, they identified an expert in animal rights in each state. I have a friend who works with these. She has members. She’s had 10 of her members have dogs taken, and they always end up at the Big D rescue, Big D dog rescue in Palm Beach, Florida, where Laura Trump happens to be on the board and a large benefactor of what is taking place there. This is a calculated effort that’s not new. It’s been in the works for a long time. They do not want you to own a pet.
SPEAKER 15 :
Why?
SPEAKER 09 :
One more question along that line. If we actually replace 9 million dogs each year and we only produce 2 million through registered, licensed facilities at the USDA, Kim, where do those 7 million dogs come from?
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t know. Where do they come from?
SPEAKER 09 :
Not the United States. They typically, we have a tremendous, you know where all the dogs end up in the rescue come from? They typically, this is common, pack drugs into the United States. And once the drug lords get them in here, they just turn them loose and then they end up at a rescue. Wow. It’s criminal what is taking place in the name of rescues in this country.
SPEAKER 04 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 15 :
And the other thing is, is that a pet, a dog or a cat brings tremendous joy to people’s lives.
SPEAKER 09 :
Joy, comfort, special needs. What’s the term for the seeing-eye dogs? There’s a term for the special use. They’ve enhanced our lives. I mean, we have called dog a man’s best friend for how long? In our case, we use dogs for working livestock. They are a valuable part of what we do. And they are being attacked. The ownership of animals is being attacked. And dogs seem to be the easiest place to go. And how do they get there? Puppy mills. That term, puppy mill, has destroyed. I used to know a tremendous number of people who were dog breeders. They might have four. They might have eight. They might have 80. Go to some of the Amish country, particularly in Indiana, Ohio. I’ve spoken to those groups. I’ve been in their facilities. I’ve not stayed in a hotel that’s more comfortable than their dog breeding facilities that they have. And yet you can go find how these Amish are just cruelly treating these dogs, making 100 female dogs work each year. I don’t care how many you have. Are you treating them with respect? And are you generating something that people want and need? We have a seven million dog deficit being produced in this country each year.

Located in lower Manhattan, it had served as a hub for revolutionary activity and a gathering place for the Sons of Liberty. Its role in the war as a site for planning and discussion imbued the farewell event with additional symbolic weight. The war had officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris in September of 1783, and by November, British forces had evacuated New York City. The city was once a British stronghold, was now fully returned to American control, making it an ideal setting for Washington’s final farewell to his officers. The gathering of the officers at Francis Tavern was more than a social occasion. It was a moment of profound reflection and gratitude. Washington’s leadership had been instrumental in the American victory, and his officers had been his steadfast companions. Washington’s speech at the farewell was brief but deeply emotional, and with a voice heavy with emotion, he expressed his gratitude to his officers. He made a toast, and following the toast, Washington went to each officer, shaking their hand in a personal gesture of farewell. And this act of individual acknowledgement reflected his leadership style, which emphasized respect, humility, and genuine care for his subordinates. And Washington’s farewell at Francis Tavern also marked the beginning of his transition from military leader to statesman. Within weeks, he would resign his commission as commander in chief of the Continental Army before Congress in Annapolis, Maryland. And it is a defining moment in American history, capturing the spirit of sacrifice, camaraderie and commitment to democratic ideals that characterize the revolutionary generation. It’s the tavern still stands as a museum. And visitors can reflect on the legacy of Washington and the officers who fought alongside him. And clearly, Washington is the indispensable man. So Trent Luce, any comments on that? And then we’ve got some things coming in on the text line regarding what we’re talking about. I have it in air quotes, puppy mills. Any thoughts on George Washington and his toast at Francis Tavern?

No, I’m just glad that he brought about mule breeding and we can still enjoy our mules today.
SPEAKER 15 :
Which that’ll segue into one of our listeners had said, hold on here, said. Well, first of all, it says all animal breeders generally need to take good care of their animals or they would go out of business. Absolutely true. Yvonne said, what about guide dogs? And then Mark said, are cattle ranches considered cattle mills? What’s the difference? You could see how this camel’s nose under the tent can could become a real problem across many of these different industries involving animals.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, that’s already happening. They use the term factory farm when they just want to talk about creating a negative image on a farm. And then you have them define what a factory is. And it can be anything involved, the reproduction of animals. So, yes, it is exactly. That’s the perfect analogy. Camel under the tent, the nose of the nose under the tent. I wanted to go back and share one more thing that’s just really an ax in my craw, and that is this whole rescue dog thing. Anybody can go search this, but the Humane Society of the United States, who has now changed their name because of the image that they had created. It’s the second wealthiest animal rights organization in the United States between them and the American Society for the Protection of Animal Cruelty. Those two organizations have about $1 billion in annual revenue just in those two. But what I wanted to get to is that I can find you an article from Chicago talking about, this is 2015, Chicago talking about the first case of H3N2 canine influenza was found in a Chicago animal rescue or dog rescue. And they talked about how rare it is. And this virus has just never really been seen in the United States before. Although it turns out that two weeks before this outbreak took place, the Humane Society of the United States shipped 57 dogs in from South Korea. And they use that, as I remember clearly, they use it as a fundraising tool. We’re in South Korea. We’re rescuing these dogs from being eaten by people. They bring them into the country. People send them millions of dollars, and they contaminate the rescue. I contend they’re – and they’ve got a whole pattern of doing this type of activity, bringing sickness to these rescues, when, in fact, if we just had U.S. dog breeders raising dogs and selling dogs, everybody would be happy.
SPEAKER 15 :
Wow. I hadn’t really thought about that. Oh, goodness. So this all then comes back to be related to this particular bill, which is House Bill 1011.
SPEAKER 09 :
Who’s the big lobbying entities in the state of Colorado? I mean, I fight these people. I’ve been fighting these people for 27 years. These are the people that got me involved immediately to begin with. giving human characteristics to animals, which is dangerous to the human population. But they’ve been lobbying, even though it is against their charters to lobby, because they’re nonprofit organizations, 501c3s, which are supposed to be about education. They’re lobbying these entities to eliminate dog breeders and to eliminate dogs for people, period.
SPEAKER 15 :
Because then they totally control the market. 100%. So it all comes back to the whole thing is power and control. And then also taking away the choices for everyday people. I see people out walking their dogs. And I just think, again, as the joy that they have from their animals. and companionship. I know some friends of mine, she had gone through a battle with cancer, and her dog comforted her every day. And so taking away these, taking away just, we’re seeing such a chip away at At our great American dream. And we’ve got to reclaim this for our children and our grandchildren. And the way to do this is to engage in this battle of ideas. Elections matter. And we need to be involved in that. And we need to make sure that we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections in It’s really twofold, Trent Luce, free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. But if people vote themselves into communism, then we’ve got a problem. So people need to understand what the issues are. You’re doing that on a regular basis. Your final thought, we’ve got about 30 seconds.

Unless we show ID at the voter booth and count the votes by hand, we will never have free and fair elections.
