Well, it’s funny you say that because the word of the day is prudence. P-R-U-D-E-N-C-E. It’s a noun. So it’s the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason. So we might, you know, the past couple months I’ve had to use prudence with how I’ve chosen my food because my emotions and my desire to eat great food like fish tacos can get me in trouble, right? Yes, sir. So, yeah, I wanted to go over to the quote of the day as well. So in the in the bottom of the hour, we’ll be talking a little bit about U.S. Constitution Week and Grand Lake and all the fun that I got to have there. Kim was there as well. And they had great speakers like Jonathan Turley. So, of course, it got me in my founding father spirit. So to that end, this one is by John Adams. Hopefully we all know him pretty well. And he wrote this to to Abigail. He said, posterity, you will never know how much it costs the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. It hits you pretty hard that even then they understood the magnitude of what they were doing, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
I think it’s amazing that these young men, hundreds of years ago, knew how relevant that statement would be today. Because there are many that don’t really care about our freedoms.
SPEAKER 06 :
They don’t. It was kind of one of those… It’s interesting to think about. We take it a little bit for granted how when they signed the Declaration of Independence, when they signed the Constitution, what they were truly signing up for and that they put their lives and sacred honor on the line literally. And it makes me wonder how many high school students understand that an 18-year-old, a 22-year-old were willing to put their name on a document knowing that if the British ever got a hold of them, they would get the death penalty.
SPEAKER 05 :
And many of them did. And many of them died broke because of progressives, I guess, that wanted to destroy them. And it’s relevant today. Look at what’s happening today.
SPEAKER 06 :
It is. It’s bold to actually take a stand on things. Right, Ben?
SPEAKER 18 :
Absolutely. Yeah. And, you know, I’m so pleased. I believe that people are really waking up to what’s going on. And they’re seeing, like, wow, we have been asleep at the wheel. We got to get real here.
SPEAKER 06 :
And, you know, we’re kind of going right into some headlines. And I did want to point this out. Very rarely do we get to acknowledge and praise some folks in Hollywood. Most of the time they are on the wrong end of the stick. Yeah. But I do want to point this out because this was a pretty bold move by, by some folks in Hollywood here. So the, the headline is fighting back 1200 plus entertainment leaders reject the boycott of Israeli film and television industry. Um, Earlier, there’s been a big call to boycott Israel for lots of different reasons, lots of different entertainment folks. Most of the headliners signed on to that. But this week, 1,200 entertainment leaders put their name down on a letter saying, we need to stop just singling out and condemning Israel. And they specifically state, for defending itself in a war it didn’t start, for trying to free hostages that are still being held. So this was spearheaded by the nonprofit Creative Community for Peace and the Brigade. It was published in response to a pledge from film workers for Palestine in which nearly 4,000 industry professionals, including major award winners, vowed to boycott Israeli productions, festivals, and institutions who they accuse of being complicit in genocide and apartheid. So this letter states, to censor the very voices trying to find common ground and express their humanity is wrong, ineffective, and a form of collective punishment. So Paramount Studios also blasted the former pledge, saying it was antithetical to the very mission of storytelling. So some of the names in the article that I knew right away, Deborah Messing, Mayim Bailik with Big Bang Theory, and then probably a little bit more… your guys’s blast from the past rebecca de mornay there she uh she was um she signed on as well so if you want peace it says call for the immediate release of the remaining hostages support filmmakers who create dialogue across communities stand against hamas so good for them man that’s awesome Yeah, that’s a very bold thing for them to do.
SPEAKER 05 :
For Hollywood, because they will get canceled. And I would say this. I can’t talk about the political aspects of Israel and the Palestinians. However, if you come into my tribe… and you take 10% of the children, the women, you strangle babies, I am going to unleash wholly on you. Don’t care about the politics. I think what happens is we forget that innocent children, babies were strangled, were set afire, alive. And so what do you do? What do you do if someone comes into your tribe, Democrats, Mark Seacombs, what do you do? Don’t you stand up and go, you’ll never do, that person that did that will never be able to do that again to another human being.
SPEAKER 06 :
And we kind of forget, too, I mean, Yom Kippur is coming up. This happened on their holiest day of the year. It happened the equivalent of while we were at Easter services. And just a reminder, there are still hostages being held right now. And so two years, it’s been two years that they’ve held these hostages. I mean, the videos are horrifying of them being starved in the tunnels.
SPEAKER 05 :
And frankly, I think they should show more. I think the world, excuse me. I think the public should see exactly what these people did.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. Amen. So on, on the front of the world should know, we probably all saw yesterday. Comey was indicted for lying to Congress. So just wanted to make a point. It is an indictment. This, this does not mean he is necessarily guilty yet. It means the, the, The grand jury saw enough to say, hey, let’s go forward with the case. But they are bringing him up on charges of giving false statements and obstruction of congressional proceedings. The interesting part about this was the statute of limitations, I think, goes out on Tuesday. So they’re kind of… flying in under the barely under the due date but uh the indictment stems from statements the former fbi had made to congress in september 2020 when he testified regarding his handling of the investigation into russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election comey’s indictment comes just days ahead of the major deadline like we said september 30th um So kind of interesting, kind of wish, I mean, we know Trump sent out that tweet last week, so it kind of muddies the water a little bit. But at the very least, it’s definitely something we would have seen if the shoe was on the other foot. Probably would have seen it much sooner. Do wish he hadn’t made it seem like he was going after his enemies. But at the very least, it’ll be very interesting seeing what evidence comes to light, because obviously they have quite a bit.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes. And I think this is the first of many. And I would say this as a police officer years ago, if you punched me in my face, You’re going to have a bad day. And for years, they’ve been punching President Trump in the face. So I think he does muddy the water a little bit, but I understand. Like, this is what you’ve done to me. This is what you’ve done to the American people. And so justice moves slow. I get this complaint all the time. When are they going to do something? It moves slow, and it’s supposed to move slow.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 06 :
Any thoughts, Ben?
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, it’s like you said, justice does move slow. And that, I think, is one of the key things that has been built into the American system. Like, oh, we’re not just going to go out and lynch somebody, right? So that is a good thing. But, boy, it sure is frustrating to just sit back and watch it go tick, tick, tick.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 18 :
But I’m thrilled that at least some action is being taken. We’ll see what comes out of it. I don’t know if there will be anything. But, I mean, they did their best to put him in jail and destroy his family, destroy everything about him. So, yeah, I don’t see this as retaliation. I see this as true justice.
SPEAKER 06 :
And again, it’s more the narrative could have been controlled better. Yeah. You know, and that’s a lot of the frustration with Trump is it’s like, don’t allow them to build a narrative against some of your actions by throwing out these tweets that make it look similar to what Democrats say. Because at that point, it’s very human to want to react and to treat others the way you’ve been treated. However, when we allow the narrative to get away, what happens in four or eight years when they have the seat of power and they can look back and point at this and say, this is why we’re going to be doing it. Of course, they do it anyway, so they don’t really need a reason why anyway, right? But at the same time, it’s important to know that there is justice. There is a good way to do things. And we want to make sure that we are doing them for the right reasons and Hopefully the evidence comes out and shows just how duplicitous this whole process was of targeting a U.S. citizen and a politician.
SPEAKER 05 :
So I may end up sounding like the crazy one with the testosterone three. But when someone attacks you and you decide that’s it, it’s on. And I think I kind of understand Trump and he doesn’t care what people think. He doesn’t care that they might use that statement six months from now. He does not care. He is going to get his message across and that he is a true leader. He is one of the most testosterone-filled presidents we’ve ever had. And when someone punches you, they try to kill him twice. I don’t have a problem with it. I think he’s… He’s one of the most odd speaking people I’ve ever heard in my life. He has his own style of speaking. But I’m okay with him saying anything. The left is going to attack. It doesn’t matter if he’s kissing babies. They’re going to call him a pedophile. They will make up something. They will come up with some kind of negative comment about anything. And so I don’t care what they say. I think he says what’s on his mind. If… If I’m in an altercation, you’re not going to like what I have to say. The people around me are not going to like what I have to say. My neighbors are not going to like it because I’m going to express myself.

Gold star for cane. Yeah, so that’s just talking about how porous the filters are, right? How much air it lets through, how much particulates are trapped. And I just want to put in a quick little thing. I know the nights are getting colder. We’re starting to fire up our furnaces. This is a primo time to make sure that you’ve got a carbon monoxide detector in your house. They’re very inexpensive. You can even get ones that just simply plug into an outlet. But a lot of, like if you have the furnace and or water heater that has the metal venting coming up off the top, those things do rust through in time. And you’ll see little pinholes. I’ve seen gaps so big I could put my fist through there. And, of course, it’s an odorless gas. But if you come home and you’re like, man, every time I come home, I just start feeling like I got the flu, kind of woozy. You might have some carbon monoxide going on.

So that’s our tip for the day. A simple, inexpensive device will save your life. Yes.

Is there a recommended place for that close to the furnace?
SPEAKER 18 :
They’re supposed to be on each level of your house, like basement, main floor, if you have a second floor, whatever. Yep. They require one. And some are a combo where it’s a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector. But it doesn’t have to be necessarily close to the furnace. It’ll pick up if something’s going on. Very good. Yeah. So in our last commercial break there, you might have heard the promo for Sybil Ludington. And I just wanted to go into that a little bit and give a little bit more background because this is a very meaningful part of our history. So the American Revolution came about because of overbearing political pressure and a refusal to give the colonists any consideration or representation. The government in England had become extremely bloated. Hmm. And they felt like the American colonies would be a great source of tax revenue. So they kept coming up with more and more ways to tax the colonies to pay for their out of control spending. Hmm. As the colonists pushed back, the government doubled down and said that British soldiers could stay in the people’s houses, be fed by them. This was known as the Quartering Act. Maybe you learned that in school. Well, the conditions were becoming really intolerable to the point that some of the people started to talk about separating themselves from England. So they sent Benjamin Franklin over to England to try to work things out. Well, that failed. So eventually the Declaration of Independence was signed and sent to England, which resulted in the war breaking out. Well, militias were formed in most of the existing counties. Not everybody was in favor of this, so sometimes you had neighbors that were sympathetic to the crown, and they would pass information on to the British about the local militias, what they were up to, and British troops would be sent out to squash the rebellion and teach them a lesson. So this is where our hero, Sybil Ludington, comes in. Sybil was born on April 5th, 1761. She had just turned 16 years old a few weeks when the British soldiers went to get the stores of weapons and ammunition that the militia had stored in a supply depot near Danbury. The two men who had been left to guard the place ran off when they saw the British coming. Their names didn’t go down in history. So the British not only ransacked their supplies, but they decided to get drunk and burn the town down. So late in the evening of April 26, 1777, this is just a couple weeks after Sybil turned 16, a wounded messenger who escaped from the town barely reached the Ludington home late in the evening. He came to their house because Sybil’s father was a colonel and a commander of the militia in Dutchess County, New York, which was close to Danbury, Connecticut. So to get an idea of the distance, think about if you were traveling from Parker to Golden. That kind of gives you an idea of how far he had to travel. So Colonel Ludington knew that the militia had to be notified, but they’d all been allowed to go home on leave because it was planting season. These guys were, you know, funding themselves, their families. Sybil was the oldest of 12 children, and she said that she would go notify the 400 members of the militia so that her father could plan out the strategy and meet the troops as they arrived at his house in the morning. Sybil got on her horse named Star and set out in the rainy night to notify the men that they were to meet at her father’s house at daybreak. She rode 40 miles through the driving rain, twice the distance of Paul Revere, with no help from anyone. She fought off the attack of a highwayman, evaded British soldiers, and used a stick to bang on the shutters of the neighbors’ homes, yelling, the British are burning Danbury. Rally at my father’s home at daybreak. Let’s pause for a moment and think about these guys in the militia. They were snuggled in their beds with their beautiful little colonial wife, with their heads resting on a comfortable goose-down pillow that they probably purchased from Mike Lindell’s great-great-great-grandfather. Kids were fast asleep. They were feeling good that they were going to be able to get their crops in so they could feed their family and animals for the next year. Glad they had a roof over their heads. And now someone’s banging on the window shutter in the middle of the night. What if they didn’t respond to that call? Our history could have been a lot different. But because these guys quickly kissed their wife goodbye and headed out into the rain in the middle of the night, Colonel Ludington was able to take his 400 minute daybreak and drive the British back to their ships, potentially saving a number of other towns from destruction. Sybil completed her 40 mile loop and showed up at about the same time that the troops were arriving at her father’s house. She was drenched to the bone, cold, tired, exhausted. If you’ve ever ridden horseback for any distance, you know how tired your leg muscles get. I can’t imagine how she felt trying to walk after that kind of a journey and chilled to the bone. Fortunately, the militia was able to inflict some damage on the British soldiers that had burned Danbury. General Washington later paid a visit to Sybil to personally thank her for her courage and commitment in the face of overwhelming odds. Her brave act was so inspiring that around 3,000 more people joined the cause in the fight for freedom. I see a lot of parallels with our modern-day Sybil Ludington, known as Kim Monson. She comes to us in the middle of the night, right? Yes, sir. It feels true. Bringing groundbreaking news. In this world of news media, she doesn’t get any help from big national syndicated news media outlets. And because she speaks the truth without regard to cronyism, sometimes it feels like she’s all alone out there in the cold, driving rain, fighting off bad guys. And just like Sybil, she never gives up because she knows that there’s a greater cause. Kim loves our state and our nation. She honors God with her life, and she wants the best for your children and your grandchildren. So you can join us in the battle for freedom by doing several things. What we really want to see come out of this is that people would pick up one thing that they could really get engaged in. Go to your school board meetings, run for office, testify at the Capitol. If you’re a mom or a dad in the middle of raising your family, be present and focused with your kids. That’s a high calling. Give them your love and attention. Teach them what’s right. And encourage them to stand against the evils of our day. So one last thing that I want to share here. This battle that we’re in isn’t just a political one where you pick which flavor you want or which causes you want to see advanced. This is a battle of good versus evil, where the demonically driven forces have taken the hill while we, myself included, have been busy doing our own thing. They have worked relentlessly to get into a position to control our government, our schools, colleges, and even some of our churches. Laws can be passed, and I’m really glad to see that the momentum is changing. But ultimately, if hearts and minds aren’t changed, none of this stuff that we’re working for will ever last. The one thing that brings about a true heart change is the ability for people to know that they’re loved by God, and that he wants to be involved in the details of their life. There’s this book called the Bible, where God tells about how much he loves us, and it gives guidance and encouragement, comfort. So, if you or anyone you know would like a free Bible with easy to read English or Spanish, or Russian, I don’t know if that’s easy to read, not for me, but I have Bibles in Russian. I’d be happy to either mail one to you or personally give it to you. So I want to be really clear, this is not a gimmick. I’m not trying to get you to go to a certain church or use our plumbing, heating, and cooling services. This is just a free gift that will hopefully impact somebody’s life and in turn change our culture one heart at a time. I want to add a quote. In fact, I just heard it this week from Charlie Kirk. And it says, “‘Courage only requires a yes.'” And so I think about Sybil and then Kim, and I don’t think people really understand with Kim, She covers a lot of controversial subjects. And so with courage, it doesn’t mean that it’s without fear. I mean, as a police officer, I was afraid almost every day. But courage allows you to step past that fear and handle that task. And then Sybil, like I was getting goosebumps thinking about this kid. riding down they didn’t have street lights they didn’t have you know sufficient roads she’s probably running probably a wagon muddy wagon trail through the yeah yeah and so um it just reminds me that we there is suffering there is suffering involved in achievement doesn’t matter what it is i don’t care if you’re a millionaire or you live on the street there’s going to be suffering so

That was a great… Actually, a perfect segue into kind of this last bottom part of the hour that I got to talk with Grand Lake U.S. Constitution Week. I was invited to speak there last Friday, a week ago, and then Kim, of course, got to emcee the main event on Saturday. on Saturday but it’s very interesting because a lot of what I focused on was actually uh why we should read the Federalist Papers why it’s important and and one of the the main points I made was it’s it’s not enough anymore to just know what the Constitution is We have a lot of folks that say they know best what to do with the Constitution. They know best how to rewrite it. And we forget a lot of where it came from. And that’s why I appreciated everything you said. It’s a good reminder to put into perspective where our constitution was birthed out of. And, and again, the quote at the beginning of the hour was from John Adams. It’s you will never know how much it costs the present generation to preserve your freedom. And that’s why it’s so important to highlight stories like civil Levington is because if you forget where we came from, you, you forget the lessons learned. And I know off, off air, um, Kane made a comment and you said, I learned all those lessons at the School of Hard Knocks, right? You have to sometimes live through some of these things to learn the lessons.
SPEAKER 18 :
Absolutely, yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
And we forget that when we put into perspective the Constitution, we sometimes forget that we had already learned lessons as a country. We already knew the lessons that we learned. And that’s one of the things the Federalist Papers really gets to put into writing. You know, when you think about the Constitution, it’s a pretty short document. I mean, I think every one of us here, if we grabbed a blank sheet of paper and had to copy it down word for word, It may take us an hour or two, but for the most part, we could get through it pretty quickly. The Federalist Papers is 500 pages of very, very tiny, difficult to read writing. But it’s important because since our Constitution has such brevity, Everything that’s in it is for a purpose and serves a purpose. So one of the points I made at the talk was we need to read the Federalist Papers because it’s not enough anymore to know what the Constitution is. It’s almost equally important when talking with folks who aren’t constitutionally literate to know why things are in the Constitution, to know the purpose that it actually serves, that That it goes just beyond, hey, this sounds like a good idea, so we’re going to put it in there. Because we have too many TikTok stars that say, I don’t know why the Constitution didn’t have this in it. Or I don’t know why, if I were to do this, I would put a clause in here saying, free healthcare for all. The fact that they didn’t put it in there shows how ignorant and stupid they were. And actually they had learned a very deep lesson, especially with the bureaucratic state of Great Britain. And one of the things also I wanted to add, not only were they taxed and not represented, but actually a lot of the grievances in the Declaration of Independence had to do with justice, had to do with judges and not administering justice. to the colonies the way they deserve to be governed the colonies were actually asking to be governed but the correct way and that was a large portion of the grievances in addition to the taxes and the representation they’re saying no no we we need to be governed we need judges here to hear our cases we need to be able to meet and convene with our representatives in a Huh. Just wait till I get to the taxes portion about how the Federalist Papers actually makes the case to the colonies that taxes are a good thing and that they’re actually necessary. So, you know, I guess we can jump right to that. Actually, can you imagine making the case today as a conservative, if I was sitting here at the microphone, trying to tell conservatives that taxes are a good thing and that we do need them?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, I’m not buying that.
SPEAKER 18 :
But I’ll listen. But, you know, administered in the right way I think is great because I am so thankful I was able to drive in here this morning on I-70 and 225, you know.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that’s the key, right, is taxes need to be done the right way, but there still is a need for them. And that was the case that they were trying to make in the Federalist Papers because if you go back to Washington during the war, Sure, he was a general. He had to try and do military matters. But it seemed like his most pressing activity that he constantly engaged in was… Asking for money from the Continental Congress saying it’s not here. My men need food. My men need supplies. I need to pay them because we forget this wasn’t a free endeavor. I mean, these these folks were away from planting season. They were away from their families. They needed a way to support themselves and their families. And Washington’s basically giving them IOUs. He’s not actually giving them money because the Continental Congress goes back to the states and says, here, I need money. And the states go, oh, that’s a nice suggestion. We’ll think about it. Some did. Some didn’t. And the case made through the Federalist Papers is like, hey, this isn’t a popular thing. But guess what? In times of emergencies, we do need money. And we do. Taxes are a good thing when they’re done properly. Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
And so I can agree with that. And to Ben’s point, I would simply say it’s not the taxes. It’s what these people do with our money.
SPEAKER 18 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 05 :
I would venture to say probably half the money that they’re spending should not be allocated for anything. It should come back to the people or reduce our taxes. Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
And again, that goes back to the importance of why the Constitution exists. And part of that is defining the proper role of government. Right. And a lot of what the Constitution says is, listen, we’re not giving this federal government a free open pass to do whatever they want. In fact, we are binding it down. We’re shackling it. If it’s not explicitly stated in the Constitution, then your federal government doesn’t have the power to do it. And actually, this is where a lot of consternation comes in, is actually they say the states have a lot of power. As long as it’s not explicitly prohibited by the Constitution, your state can do it. But that’s where we get into this idea of prudence, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
So last month, Kim sent me a text and says, thanks for coming on the show. And she goes, thank you for the robust message. I’m like, hmm, I’ve never been called robust before, but I guess I’m a robust communicator. I would ask you, what do we do when you have those in positions of power or politicians that don’t honor the Constitution? They could care less about it. They come up with laws that’s antithetical to the Constitution. What do we do with those folks? And what does the…

Glad to have you. So before the break, Cain, you asked the question of what happens when our legislators start passing laws that are blatantly unconstitutional? What happens when we start to go down the path of, that is divergent from the purpose and the reason why we had the Constitution? And that answer needed a little bit longer than we could have before we needed to get to sponsors, right? So, you know, obviously the first one is… That’s the reason why we have the judicial system is they purposely said we need to make sure and have a Supreme Court that will rule on the constitutionality. One of the things the founders did not predict was the legislative and executive branches getting together to basically create a fourth branch of government like we have in the bureaucratic system. The massive the massive bureaucracy that we have. They always figured that each branch would want to retain and keep as much power as possible, that the executive and the legislative would actually clash and clamor with each other to try and obtain power. And one of the ways we got around that was to create this bureaucratic class where the legislative said, hey, we’re going to give the executive this power to create this agency to bypass our need to legislate, which is why there’s a very compelling and a very good argument as to why most agencies are actually unconstitutional, because it bypasses the need of the legislature. And the reason it does that, and probably the second part to this answer to your question is, It’s we, the people, that have to hold legislators like that accountable. And that was one of the key points. That is what made our Constitution radically different from any other method of governance seen before. Is that it put the impetus down to the people. Not a selected group. Not a nobility. Not a very specific type of group. But it put the agency all the way down to the people to be involved in their federal government. This was very different from anything ever tried before. And that’s what’s so unique about this American experiment. Is that it relied on the people. But to that end… Since it does rely so much on the people in Federalist 57, they talk about objections that come up because the Federalist Papers were actually written as newspaper articles. And so one of the things they repeat themselves a lot just because they are newspaper articles, they kind of have to make the point again and again. But one of the things they get to do is they get to say, hey, somebody said this and this is why it’s incorrect. And in 57, he’s responding to a bunch of doomsday scenarios. What happens if this happens, right? And he makes a point like, listen, no government can ever be constructed to respond to all of these horrible doomsday scenarios. But if that ever does happen, it’s because the people allowed it to happen. And it’s going to be their problem to fix, right? And so that is where we need to make sure that we are constitutionally literate enough to be able to tell our legislators and more importantly, to be able to tell their constituents. This is why what your legislator is doing is so bad for us. not just because it’s unconstitutional like that that can just be thrown around and there’s a whole section of our society that’d be like so what i don’t really like the constitution anyway but if you can make the case of why it’s a bad idea that it’s unconstitutional not just that it is because they don’t it’s almost an appeal to authority at this point right to say it’s unconstitutional it’s an authority they don’t recognize as being lawful and so if you appeal to that authority and they say well I don’t care if it’s unconstitutional because I think the Constitution was written by rich white men that just want to further their patriarchy, right? So they’ll throw it out of hand. And these are people that swore an oath to our country that are saying this. Right. And so it’s more important to be able to elucidate the reasons why and to say, here is why it’s a bad idea. Here’s why it’s bad to consolidate the power in the federal government.
SPEAKER 05 :
And so our founding fathers gave us the ability to vote. Here’s the problem, Ben. What if that system is corrupt? What if that system is completely flawed? So what do we do next?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and that’s again, they created, as we well know, they created the freedom of press. They created the freedom of speech and the ability to get out there and to say, here is what is wrong. And to that point. One of the things they did is they allowed local control to be as local as possible. And we have county clerks and recorders for a reason. I mean, I know we have Jenna Griswold. I know we have what’s happening at the state level. But there is a reason why we have county clerks and recorders and why it’s important to be involved in who is elected county clerk and recorder. And it’s local enough now. That you should be able to know and you should be able to go to events and you should be able to see your county governments and be able to talk to your county clerk and recorder and say, hey, I want to know that things are on the up and up. I mean, I live in Douglas County. I know I can go to Sherry Davis and say, I have some major concerns. Here’s the concerns I have. Can you either tell me that they’re being taken care of or can you start to take care of them? Mm hmm. And so that’s why we don’t want federal election rules. That would actually be a bad thing because it’s bringing that control to a higher level than it should be. We need to be able to control elections at our local level because we can hold them accountable.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, and I get that because each, the cities have their own cultures. The states have their own cultures, different thought processes. The way we think here in Colorado is different than California or New York or Texas. I get that. However, so you mentioned something about the media. The pathetic line teleprompter reading harlots? So we have the solution you mentioned, or we have the media. They can address these issues. They are corrupt to their core.
SPEAKER 06 :
So what else is next? Well, and that’s where luckily we have a free market system, right? Yes. Where as long as they want to bankrupt themselves on terrible late-night talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel and Stewart. Target stores. We can influence it through the free market. And that’s really the only way we can right now. Or you could just stop listening to them, which is another idea. And you could listen to great shows like this. So definitely want to hang on for the second hour. So thank you, Kane. And thank you, Ben, for joining us today. And I think you guys will both like this final quote for the show. Just absolutely happy to be here. Very proud of the work that we’re doing and what we stand for and really looking forward to bringing our message to everybody in Colorado to understand the importance of just exactly what you said, preserving their freedoms and making sure that they make good use of it.
SPEAKER 06 :
And, of course, one of those ways that we preserve it is, fortunately, the Second Amendment, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. Absolutely. Our tagline literally says where the second is first because we believe the Second Amendment stands for more than just the right to bear arms. It gives you the ability to say no. It gives you the ability to resist. It gives you the ability to say, hey, you know what, not today. And to prevent people from imposing their will on you. And that is the entire point is whether it be, you know, one person or the government. We don’t want anybody being able to force their will upon you. We want to give people the right to protect and preserve their freedoms. And the best way to do that is with the pew-pews, is with firearms. And just to make people understand that this is not because… You know, we’re promoting people to be dangerous or people to be violent in a negative way. We want to promote people to understand that, you know, everybody deserves the right to resist. Everybody deserves the right to, you know, say, hey, you know what, I don’t have to do what you’re telling me and you’re not going to force me to do those things and have the ability to level that playing field.
SPEAKER 06 :
And we talked a little bit about this in the first hour, that some lessons were learned by our founding fathers the hard way, right? And one of the stories that Ben shared with us is the story of Sybil Levington. And part of that was the British knew the first thing they needed to do to bring this country back under their thumb was to go after munitions and supplies. And really, the Second Amendment was there to prevent tyranny from ever coming into this country ever again.
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. And we’re seeing that now, right? Because one thing I don’t think that the public understands is that they can’t take your rights away from you. You have to give them up. So by convincing the people of horrible things, by gaslighting the people with violence and, you know, pain and emotion, they are allowed to manipulate that by the guise of safety. And that’s one of the things that I want people to really understand is that we’re not so different from, you know, the anti-gunners. Their motivation is they just want safety. Also, we just have a very different opinion of what that safety looks like. And for people to understand, like, hey, look, you know, we want to be proactive in our safety. We don’t want to wait to say, hey, I hope the cops show up or, hey, I want to wait. To make sure that, you know, I have the ability to fight another day. No, we want access to that immediately because, you know, the sense of urgency to live should be important. It should be immediate and it should be high on everybody’s priority scale.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and the primary right that they talk about in the Declaration of Independence is the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And this is what we’re securing, first of all, is to say, I have the right to live, and I am going to protect that right from people who want to disabuse me of that right, shall we say. That might be my nicest on-air way of saying that. But it’s saying, no, I have a right to, and I deserve to live, and you don’t deserve to take that away from me.
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. And that’s exactly what we stand for at the Second Syndicate. We stand for everybody’s right to exist, everybody’s right to stand for their own individual freedoms and their ability to protect and preserve their life and the lives of their loved ones and the people that they surround themselves with.
SPEAKER 06 :
And, you know, it’s kind of funny, because if everybody is respecting those rights, you don’t really need the Second Amendment, do you? But it sure is nice to have when people don’t understand or play nice in the sandbox.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, that goes back to the old saying, right? The armed society is a polite society. That’s exactly why it’s so important that everybody is under the assumption that everybody is armed, because… Hey, when you think about it, is it worth people losing their lives over? Well, somebody, it was worth it to somebody, right? So that’s why we have those freedoms today is that people value those things enough that they actually walked the walk. And I think we’ve really become a society of apathy where people don’t have that drive or that importance to say, be able to stand and defend, and that’s exactly what we want to resurrect and protect in society today.
SPEAKER 05 :
Excuse me. Alicia, this is Kane. I’m a former police officer, and I would ask that. Doesn’t a single mom with a couple of kids living by herself, doesn’t she have a right to defend herself against those who want to harm her? Because this happens every single day. Women are victimized, harmed, and killed, and if they had that great equalizer, then the tide would turn.
SPEAKER 10 :
I absolutely agree. I absolutely agree. And I had a woman in my class the other day. She was in her late 80s. And I mean, she was about 90 pounds wet and wearing boots. She was so frail. And, you know, her hands were like paper. And, you know, she was an older woman. And I was like, how am I going to get this lady not only confident enough, but build up the strength and the determination to be able to handle a firearm because she wanted to that was the whole point of her being there but it was at the point in her life that you know it was something she had never prioritized so you know she didn’t have strength in her hands she didn’t have the ability to you know offset that recoil when we’re firing a firearm and you know I did a very good job. The range that I work with did a very good job also. You know, we made it to the point where everybody else was gone. It was just her and me, a range and a firearm. And I was able to, you know, show her and demonstrate. She was able to shoot a firearm, but not without assistance. And I was like, hey, you know, I hope you realize that I can’t give you this certificate today, but guess what? I’m willing to work with you and to get you to the point where you don’t have to be afraid, that you have the confidence. And sometimes it’s just reminding people, like, the old saying goes the same way with everything else. If you don’t use it, you’re going to lose it. So make sure that you are training, you are prioritizing those actions and those motives because you never know what tomorrow holds. And I want everybody to understand that, you know, it’s secondary for me to teach people about the right to bear arms. It’s secondary. teach them about firearms. What I’m truly teaching them is that self-defense truly is self-love. Self-love is self-care, and prioritizing your ability to grow old is a privilege that not very many people are afforded these days. We live in a very violent time, and I’m one of those people that I’m looking forward to getting older. I don’t want to be, you know, the young girl out, you know, doing the things that I used to do. I want to enjoy, you know, the fruit of the work that I’ve put in and see the people that I love, you know, grow and have families. And, you know, those are things that are privileges. But we don’t want to treat the right to defend our life as a privilege. We want to embrace that as truly one of the most important things that we have available to us right now and make that a sense of urgency and exercise it.

We’ve talked a little bit off air about – You know how our politics is downstream of our culture. How do we change that culture? And one of the things that we’ve kind of been circling the idea around is we’ve really lost this idea of a virtuous culture. And that’s one of the sad realities of this victim mindset, of this idea that it’s somebody else’s fault, is you lose that self-agency of self-reliance, self-restraint, self-assertion. And by default, the civic knowledge portion of the civic virtues that you need is lost because you lose the former. And we’ve talked a little bit at the end of the hour, how do you hold these people accountable? And really, it’s having the courage to assert yourself in the realm of public opinion and public ideas. And that’s something that we’ve seen gone by the wayside is this lack of courage. And unfortunately, or actually, I would say fortunately, through the loss of Charlie Kirk, I’m seeing a… renaissance of self-assertion that I haven’t seen before of people saying you know what you’ve crossed the line if we’re truly if our lives are going to be put at stake for having pretty normal political ideas well you know what I’m gonna have to assert myself and I’m gonna have to stop standing back and just letting you run roughshod over me by just accusing me of being racist fascist a horrible immoral person just for having pretty normal ideas
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, when you remove the Bible from schools, this was all planned. This is decades and decades of trying to bring our culture to this point in time. You remove Bibles from school. You don’t teach people about the greatness of this country. We end up with the situations we have today. But, yeah, there’s really no virtue. I mean, no. There’s many that have no virtue in that we get…
SPEAKER 06 :
what’s happening today and well it and to that point the founders were pretty pretty bold in saying that this was made to be a religious country and in fact when when the constitution was signed i think it was upwards of nine to ten of the state constitutions had a state religion that they actually sponsored So it was understood, and that wasn’t unconstitutional at the time when the Constitution was signed. They said, yeah, you can have your state. This only applies to the federal government. And since we’ve lost that religiosity, since we’ve kind of lost our way, it takes folks like Ben saying, hey— Contact me. Text me. I’ll send you a Bible. I’ll talk to you about this. And it’s great assertion and self-reliance to not say, hey, go to somebody else and find a Bible. You’re saying, no, you know what? I’ll help you out.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, and you know, it’s interesting how God has been removed out of the equation. And so just using, say, a writing pen for an example. You know, you can go to the dollar store and get whatever, eight pens for a buck or something like that. I don’t know what they cost. But, you know, just your typical cheap pens. Like, okay, whatever. If I lose it, here’s another one. It doesn’t really matter. But my son makes pens on a lathe. And he made one for me. It has a little bolt action thing on it, you know, bullet tip. It’s a really cool pen. And he made that for me. And that is my favorite pen. I love it. I care about it. I take care of it. And God made you. And he cares about you and he has a plan for you. And that’s how he and in the Bible, he expresses these things. And it gives us wonderful guidance and comfort. And so when God is removed and people feel like, well, I don’t even matter. I’m just a blob of cells. You know, when I die, I just die. But if you realize God made you, he cares about everything in your life. Life takes on a whole new meaning.
SPEAKER 05 :
And what is and what is your plan? What is your what is the plan that God gave you? There’s a plan that God has for each and every one of us, and you need to find that and pursue that. And then he will bless your path.

Isn’t there a verse about that? I think so.
SPEAKER 06 :
But, you know, I kind of want to take a maybe an even 50,000 foot view of that because it’s a very important point. You know, Socrates at one point in time came out and he using just reason and logic said, you know what? There seems to be this this idea of a prime mover like something. This couldn’t just happen. Somebody had to get it going. And a non-Christian was able to say, listen, there’s something higher than us. And if there’s something higher than us, then we all must be kind of equal. In the declaration, they call it nature’s God. That’s why that little addition was added. And it’s a brilliant addition saying, you know what, even if you aren’t a Christian, you can still acknowledge that there’s something above us. When you take God out of the equation or a God out of the equation, you lose something very important. And it’s this idea that there is truth and that truth can be discovered and reasoned and found. And that’s, I think, a lot of the problem of the ideological differences that we have today is when you take God out of the equation and you say, listen, I don’t necessarily believe that there is a truth. There’s my truth. There’s your truth. Truth is relative. You lose out on this idea of something being above us, and you become your own personal god. So then it makes sense, by extension, that if you are your own personal god, and I say you are not a woman, you’re a man, I’m threatening the very deity of yourself. And so it is a somewhat… I don’t agree with the language, but I can understand why they would say, well, now speech is violence. And it’s because we’ve lost this idea of an absolute truth and that we can discover it. And that’s a very, very critical distinction. And that’s why our founding fathers said we were built to be a religious country because we are built. on the very foundation that there is a truth and it can be discovered, it can be reasoned, and that we should acknowledge it. And so that’s an important thing. I’m sure we’ll discuss this a little bit more after we hear a little bit more from great sponsors of the show. And one of those is Karen Levine.

Not at all. If I can. Absolutely. We were talking about – being a CCW carrier and situational awareness. And I just want to cover a couple topics. In light of the Charlie Kirk assassination, the murder, we just need to pay attention. So situational awareness is not necessarily like John Wick. Like you’re looking for something so you can pull out your guns and start shooting. It’s just paying attention to your environment. And The first thing you want to look at is, how do I feel in this room? Does it feel like something doesn’t feel right? And when that sixth sense is telling you something doesn’t feel right, leave. I told my daughters as they were growing up, if you’re in a party and all of a sudden it just doesn’t feel right, leave. That’s the first thing. The other thing is with situational awareness, it’s not. It’s really what’s going on. So if I’m at a restaurant and I hear a glass break, I want to turn around and confirm that it’s just a glass. It’s not some guy that just punched his girlfriend. And it’s simple things like that. Like we ignore gunshots. Like, don’t you want to know where that is and where that’s coming from? We ignore people yelling. If you see someone yelling in a public place, see what that is. For a split second, you turn and look and go, that’s not a threat to me or my family. Maybe it’s a threat to someone else, and you can decide if you want to get involved with that. But it’s a minor issue. We were talking about carrying, and how do I give a speech and I carry? Like, how am I thinking about protecting myself? Well, when violent things happen in front of you, you’re going to search for your tools. Immediately, whether you train for it or not, you’re going to search for your tools, how do you protect yourself? But the main thing is, like, I sit facing the door at a restaurant. I don’t sit with people sitting behind me. I’ll sit in the back row. If I am sitting with people behind me, I casually turn around and go, everybody looks fairly normal. It’s not something that you have to be paranoid about. You just want to pay attention to your surroundings. Just like watching your kids when you’re walking down the street. You’re not paranoid, but you for sure have your mind on your child and trying to keep them from running into the street. I’m going to cover a whole bunch of things really quick if I can.
SPEAKER 06 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 05 :
So I want to say again, take your kids out of the government schools. Kim pushes back on, she goes, Cain, you know everybody can’t do that. Well, yeah, they can. Will they? No. Like, I know they won’t, but that’s okay. If you’re going to leave your kids in the government school, you have to stand up and fight against the indoctrination. Understand that these people, these transit transformers, trans Tifa people, they all went through the government schools. Every last one of them, they are indoctrinated. Then they go off to college and they become radicalized. And so if you’re not paying attention to your kids, here’s the thing. Do you think furries are okay in school? No, there’s only a handful of them. But what does that do to the kids that are watching that every day? Those kids are going, you can pretend to be a rabbit and these adults are okay with it. How is that affecting their mindset? A boy going into a girl’s bathroom. It is having a negative effect on every single child in that school. Whether you see it or not, it is having a negative effect.
SPEAKER 06 :
And to that point, not necessarily pushing back, but maybe the way I would phrase it, Cain, is don’t be reliant on government teaching to educate your kids. And I think for the folks that say, I can’t pull my kids out of government schools, as long as you are not relying on them to teach your kids these things, that’s where I would say the thing is. It’s the parents’ right and responsibility to teach their kids. And I was talking to one of my friends, and he finally was getting a turning point chapter started at his high school. which was really good. They’d been talking to him for several years, and this was obviously the impetus to push him. And we were talking about what he was doing, and he made a comment to me that I was like, wow, what a great thing to be able to say, to have that confidence. He said, I’m not worried when he goes to college. because i’ve already taught him these things i’ve already instilled all this into him that as a parent to be able to say i’ve taken charge of my kids education to the degree that even if they do go to a public school i’m not worried because i know that i have taken that into my own hands i’ve been reliant on my ability as a parent to teach my kids i believe that’s kind of what you’re speaking to is don’t rely on these public schools to teach your kids be involved Be so involved that you can say, hey, I know this is what the teacher’s teaching you, but we need to learn a little bit more about natural rights. We need to learn a little bit more about science and why what you’re experiencing at school is incorrect.
SPEAKER 05 :
So this is where we differ with Donald Trump and the way he speaks. If the if the school building is on fire and nobody else sees it, but I do. I see the fire in the basement. Do I say, yeah, go ahead and send your kids there. They’ll be okay. I’m like, no, don’t go. The basement is on fire and it’s going to have an adverse effect on your kids. But I understand there’s a softer way to say it. If the building’s on fire, I’m not being soft. I’m screaming at the top of my lungs, don’t go in there. And so I’m simply saying to the parents, This system was set up to do what it’s doing today, and that is to mentally have a negative effect on your kids. And that’s what it’s doing. I mean, we have the proof. It is 100% happening.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, and I just want to put in a little plug for young families who are raising their kids. You’re putting them in daycare. Do the math. Moms, if your entire paycheck is going to pay for daycare and your gas and clothes to go to work, raise the kids at home. You think of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were taken off to Babylon in a very wicked king system. But their parents had invested in them as young children. They were able to stand up against the evil. And So, you know, some parents may or may not be able to, you know, send the kids to a charter school or private school. But if you invest in them in those early years, that forms the catalyst for their whole life.
SPEAKER 05 :
So my opinion is your child’s better to stay at home playing computer games than to go on into that burning building. Yeah. I believe this 100 percent because it’s adversely affecting their their mental state.
SPEAKER 06 :
Now, I had especially with the things that you found. I mean, this is what you’re it’s not that every student is necessarily going to happen. But if if it even happens to one innocent kid, that’s one innocent kid too far. Right. And I mean, you found some horrible things, horrific.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s not a place for kids. And I say what I would say this to teachers. I love you. I know that you trained your entire life to do this, but you can change everything today. the teachers can stand up and say, I’m not doing this. I’m not recognizing that Johnny is a Sally. I’m not letting Johnny go in the girl’s room. I’m not, you know what, if you’re walking around here looking like a dog, I’m gonna put you on the leash and we’re gonna tie you to a tree. I’m not going to acknowledge and accept this because children are watching the adults. And so I simply say, teachers, you can stop it. My next thing I would say is… Which takes a boldness and a courage. It does take courage. But I’m trying to get into heaven. I don’t want to hurt kids. I don’t want to hurt kids. I don’t want you to hurt kids. And maybe you don’t see it. Maybe you don’t believe that in 10 years, that child that you didn’t stand up and protect will grab a gun and start shooting schools again. And so I say to teachers, there’s some of you out there, you don’t want to do this. You don’t have to do this. There’s many, many other jobs and occupations that you can do that surrounds helping children. So leave. It’s going to take a long time to change this. They’ve been planning this since I was in junior high school.

I mean, I got pictures of you hugged up with him at a club. Make them answer you. They’re not going to do it because they know he’s not a racist.

Well, and that kind of goes to the whole point, too, that we are all not fascists, and yet I’m sure it’ll be thrown our way eventually, right? Because… It’s not that he’s not a racist. It’s the fact that whenever the accusation of racism comes out, it’s a way to silence people. It’s no longer because we are using the word correctly. It is a word to say, I do not want to debate with you. I don’t want to have this conversation. So I’m going to shut you up by calling you a name that destroys your credibility. Which… The horrible part of that is it actually destroys the credibility of the word itself. And so when you come across real racism, then when you say, hey, this is actual racism, the word means nothing now. Because it’s been so diluted by somebody crying wolf with no wolf being around. 100%.
SPEAKER 05 :
One hundred percent. I’ve been discriminated against years and years ago. I know what that looks like and I know what it feels like. It’s a very small percentage of our population that believes that way. And I had recourse. Hey, how about that? I had recourse in this great nation. And guess what I did? I did. I handled that guy and I received compensation for what they did to me. When we’re called, when people are saying they’ve been discriminated against, I simply say, who? Who did it to you? Where?
SPEAKER 06 :
Show me because you have recourse. And that’s important. And it’s not just, again, it’s not crying wolf. Because if you have been wronged, you do deserve to be made whole. That is something that’s very important. integral to our country to a big degree. And, you know, she’s going to be carrying their message forward to save our nation, our state, to honor our veterans. And just kind of back from Canada, literally just got back from Canada on Monday and testified what it’s like. Canada is no longer a Christian nation. And so I think I can, you know, she’s a God fearing woman and she knows what the cost is if we lose our foundation and our principles in God.
