Jeff Archey from International Gospel Hour joined Mike on 670 KLTT to share updates on the ministry’s continued growth, including a new expansion into Northern California on Crawford Media Group’s 770 KCBC while maintaining strong weekday and weekend broadcasts in Denver. He emphasized the program’s focus on clear Bible teaching, upcoming December studies, and the ministry’s commitment to praying for listeners and offering free resources without solicitation. Jeff encouraged KLTT listeners to pray for unchurched communities in California, share the broadcast with friends, and tune in to the weekday 7:45 PM program and the 12:30 PM Sunday Bible study,
SPEAKER 02 :
Hey, it’s Mike Trame with 670 KLTT and Crawford Media Group. We’re pleased to be joined by Jeff Archie with International Gospel Hour. And Jeff, we do these quarterly because we want people to, A, know about International Gospel Hour, the fact that you’re on weekdays and weekends on 670 KLTT, but also sometimes you get really cool opportunities to bring the gospel to other areas of the nation. And that means Northern California now, right? Right.
SPEAKER 01 :
Absolutely, Mike. And due to our great relationship with you all at KLTT 670 and of course the listening audience that makes the difference. I mean, you know, if we’re on the air and nobody’s listening, then we’re not getting anywhere. But the great support of the listeners at KLTT in Denver and our relationship through KLTT in Faulkner has us expanding with you all to KCDC 770 AM in San Francisco with awesome reach to Sacramento and San Jose and other areas therein. So the folks that are listening in Denver, if you have friends out in that area of Northern California, Please tell them to be watching and tune in very soon to the International Gospel Hour on 770 KCDC.
SPEAKER 02 :
Jeff, that’s great. And I would also add to that our listeners need to pray for those folks because California has a lot of unchurched people. We all know that. I mean, living here in Denver, we have our own issues, too. But, you know, be praying. If you love and appreciate International Gospel Hour, know that there’s people that you need to pray. Get to hear the program. Have others tell them about it. Maybe they tell friends, too. And that way we build an audience in God. Northern California, whether that’s the Bay Area, which you would think is probably pretty fertile ground, you know, for the gospel, but also all those inland communities where we do see more believers and bigger churches and people that we’re working with. So both places.
SPEAKER 01 :
Yes, absolutely, Mike. And we are delighted to look at that area. Of course, knowing you and seeing that area and one of our larger markets in the country, And it just seemed like a good opportunity to look and to weigh on that. And so be watching for us. We’ll have a twice-a-day airing. 6.30 of a Monday through Friday morning to where people can, it could be their drive-in to work devotional or their drive-in devotional, as I call it, in the evening, an evening devotional as well. And so 6.30 a.m., 8 p.m., and look forward to just getting on the air there. And of course, continuing right here on 670 KLTT with such an awesome audience.
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, Jeff, talk to our listeners. A lot of times we like these interviews for people that perhaps haven’t listened to International Gospel Hour. Maybe it’s a time of day that they could listen, but just they haven’t, or they have plans in the evening and they know they can work around those to tune in. Tell our listeners, what will they hear with International Gospel Hour, and what are some of the distinctives about the ministry?
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, Mike, we want to, of course, speak clearly about the salvation that is in Christ Jesus and the beauty of one’s belief in Christ and the promise of a changed life through repentance, confessing that faith, baptism, to have those sins removed and to raise, to be walked in newness of life, and to learn more about the church that Jesus promised to build in Matthew 16, 18. And we look at that and we study those wonderful things. Matter of fact, coming up, folks can be looking ahead, just looking ahead and as we’re doing this in early December, but the week of 1215 and 1216, we’re going to spend a couple of days looking at the Psalms. We’re going to look at Psalm 7. We call that our psalm cast. We just study through a psalm and apply therein. Right around the time of Christmas on the 23rd and the 24th, we’re going to be talking about God’s wonderful and rich gifts. And we’re going to be talking about salvation as a wonderful gift. Now, Mike, this is from a series that I do called A Sermon I Heard. A lot of times in my travels, I’ll talk about International Gospel Hour maybe in a Bible study class time, but I get to hear the local preacher. So sometimes I get to hear lessons that I love to take with me, adapt and use on our broadcast. And so these are just a few things coming up in December. And we want everybody to join in and to listen to our broadcast. We will not ask for your money, but we offer a lot of free materials that we will gladly send your way. And we appreciate all the listeners out there in the Denver market.
SPEAKER 02 :
And we do ask that you listen and tell your friends, right?
SPEAKER 01 :
Oh, absolutely. Yes.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, this is a ministry that we grow, you know, through promotion, of course, on air and with social media, website, that kind of thing. But a lot of it is that face-to-face, person-to-person, word-of-mouth kind of thing. And we really rely on listeners that have listened to International Gospel Hour and said, oh, I have friends that this program could really help.
SPEAKER 01 :
Oh, absolutely. And be sure to share that with your friends and all, because I look at a variety of messages. And of course, Mike, I stay ahead and I’m working ahead into January as of now. And I’m looking at, I was working on one lesson today that people will hear that we’ll be dealing with. How do we approach our suffering? the suffering, the hurt that we face, that through God, who is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, 2 Corinthians 1, 3, 4. And we’re able to learn how can I grow within this suffering and how God can perfect me with this. And so we like to think that when we bring forth a broadcast, we want to bring forth something. When someone’s done listening to it, they can say, hey, I got something out of that. And if they need some more, we’ll gladly be there to help them.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s really good. And I want our listeners to know is I know. You and the staff, you pray for our listeners. You pray for people. You were kind enough to pray for me the other day with our daughter and some medical stuff we’re dealing with there. You’re praying ministry, not just, okay, we do this and we leave it to God after that. Ministry.
SPEAKER 01 :
Absolutely. Well, you know, Mike, we encourage a number of, whenever I speak somewhere, I always say, folks, we ask three things of you. And one of the things that we will ask those congregations that we speak at, the first thing is to pray for our work. Just put us in your daily prayers. and pray that well like uh from colossians chapter four to pray that doors will be open to pray that we can speak forth the mystery of the gospel that which has been revealed and then we ask folks to promote it you know promote us on social media or as you say promote it by telling your friends And so we are encouraged when people help us toward that end. And so as in the old saying, great things are wrought by prayer and how the effectual prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5 and the beauty of prayer. And so if we can bathe our work in prayer. then we know God will bless it. And we’ve been very blessed to see a number of good open doors. It started back about three or four years ago with returning to Denver, Colorado. And then through that, I got to know you. A lot of other good people there with Crawford Broadcasting. And of course, now we’re going to San Francisco. And Mike, who knows where else we may go?
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, yeah. Exciting that you’re seeing, we see International Gospel Hour in more stations, including Birmingham and Detroit too, I think, right? With Crawford. Yes, that’s correct. Yes, with Crawford.
SPEAKER 01 :
And we’re blessed with that great relationship with all of them. And and uh and grateful but also uh most grateful for the folks there at kltt 670 because we’re we’re encouraged when we get calls or uh somebody sends us a message that they heard our broadcast or request some material that we’re gladly that we gladly send folks so as i say at the end of each broadcast keep listening and just keep listening to us at international gospel hour right here on kltt 670 and again tell your friends Out in Northern California, we’re coming to KCDC, 770 AM.
SPEAKER 02 :
So we’re speaking with Jeff Archie with International Gospel Hour. And as we wrap up, Jeff, I want to remind the KLTT listeners that it’s Monday through Friday, 745 PM. So you’ve got the shorter message. And then we have a weekend Bible study that’s a little different, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 01 :
Yes, the weekend, usually they run on Sundays and Saturday or Sunday, depending on the schedule. But it’s a longer broadcast. It’s a 30-minute broadcast where we spend a little bit more time in a deeper study, more of a sermon form, I guess you could say. And then we also spend some time with some things that we can share with them on the air that can be of good help to them as well. So we have the daily, which is about 15 minutes, and then, of course, the weekend at 30. So people have their choice. And honored that they can join us each and every time.
SPEAKER 02 :
We intentionally picked that weekday time at 7.45 p.m. because then you can be done with dinner, get the kids working on homework if you still have kids at home, and then listen. That just has been a really good time for people to catch International Gospel Hour for that 15-minute program. And then 12.30 p.m. on Sundays on KLTT, you have that lunchtime, you’re back from church, you have an opportunity to to either eat lunch first or after, and then you have the half-hour Bible study. We have other various times. You can find that at 670KLTT.com. And, of course, you can listen on the mobile app, too. It makes it really easy.
SPEAKER 01 :
Yeah, absolutely so. And people can use our 745 each night. Get the children together. Get the family. Call it Bible Time with International Gospel Hour. And anything that we can share with you to help with your family, you be sure to let us know.
SPEAKER 02 :
Jeff, we hear from some of our homeschool families that do that kind of thing. They’ll have everybody get together and have some Bible study time with International Gospel Hour and some of the other programs in the evening on KLTT. That’s great. Wonderful. Tell our listeners, so how do they check out the ministry, go to the website? What information can they gather and how do they get to you?
SPEAKER 01 :
Yeah, well, Mike, real easy. Our website is internationalgospelhour.com. They can go there and look across the top. It’s very user friendly of our previous broadcast that we have, current broadcast, of course. What they would hear on KLTT that day, they can also access it on our website as well. If they’d like to know what I look like, they can scroll down and click on the YouTube tab and also watch our televised version of International Gospel Hour. And so we have all kind of tools there. Our Hispanic podcast, Christianos Fieles, with our good brother and friend Marlon Rotana, it’s available on our website. Go up to the Resources tab, click on it, and you’ll see a lot of the things that we offer and tools and study materials that they can access free. And so feel free to peruse our website at internationalgospelhour.com. You can drop me a note through the contact tab and let me know that you heard our interview today. And we’d love to hear from all of our listeners. And we’re grateful for them.
SPEAKER 02 :
So many ways to interact. It’s Jeff Archie with International Gospel Hour. As a reminder, Monday through Friday, 7.45 p.m. weekdays on 670 KLTT. And the half-hour Bible study, 1231 on Sundays. Plus, if you look, we’ve got some other times slotted in there. So if you need, you know, later in the evening, that kind of thing, you have some other options. Hey, Jeff, thanks so much for taking the time with us.
SPEAKER 01 :
You’re welcome, Mike. It’s my honor and pleasure. And thanks to everyone. And when you tune in to International Gospel Hour, just keep listening. And we’re grateful for all of you. Thanks much.
