Praise the Lord. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. And if you would like to donate to call to freedom, you can go to freedomst.org. God bless you for your giving and. 00:01:49 Speaker 2 I appreciate it so much. We have been debt free ministry for 30 years and I’m so grateful to the Lord for that. Oh, praise the Lord because there’s so much this is crunch time. There are so many things that are up in price. They’ve increased in price, the gas, the food, everything. 00:02:08 Speaker 2 And so I’m so grateful to the Lord and to you for keeping this ministry on the radio, our memory verse for this week is from Psalm 16, verse seven, and in the message translation we see when God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand. 00:02:25 Speaker 2 When God approves of your life, even your enemies will will end up shaping, shaking your hand. And what is God in approving of in your life when you accept Jesus Christ as your savior? That’s God approving of your life when you have become a born again believer and the passion, translation, and proverbs 16, verse 7. 00:02:46 Speaker 2 Says when the Lord is pleased with the decisions you’ve made, he activates grace to turn enemies into. 00:02:52 Speaker 2 Friends, you may undergo some correction in your life to see your enemies become friends and it will be well worth it when you look back on your life and what had brought a frown before will become a smile. Now may a frown over my failure become a smile over my success from Psalm 39, verse 13. I love that from the. 00:03:12 Speaker 2 Passion may have frowned over my failure. Become a smile over my success and with God all things are possible. Jesus said he has come to bring you an abundant life overflowing with abundant. 00:03:25 Speaker 2 My confession for today by Rick Renner, I boldly confess that even if I occasionally get knocked down, I never get knocked out. There will have been a couple times in my life I’ve been actually knocked out. Have. 00:03:37 Speaker 2 You ever been knocked out? 00:03:40 Speaker 2 Unconscious on the floor? Yes. Amen. But I’m not knocked out. 00:03:45 Speaker 2 In the spirit I possess, the supernatural ability and Holy Spirit to keep getting up again because I’m born of God and I overcome the world through Jesus. 00:03:53 Speaker 2 Christ, regardless of what weapons Satan uses or how he attempts to combat me, my faith overrides and supersedes any event, any circumstance, and any difficult dilemma Satan would try to employ against me, and he’ll try it, folks, he’ll try it. He knows what buttons to push, he he truly does, but guard. 00:04:13 Speaker 2 Guard it. Cover those buttons with the the wonderful blood of Jesus. I declare this by faith in Jesus. Name. Thank you so much. Rick Renner. You’re a blessing to the body of Christ and 2nd Corinthians 5. Seven says for we walk by faith and not by sight. 00:04:29 Speaker 2 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not, and the darkness did not overpower it. John the 1st chapter of John John one is just powerful, absolutely powerful. Talks about Jesus coming back in the flesh, coming in the flesh for the first time. I’m sorry. I’m talking about. 00:04:49 Speaker 2 He’s coming back again, but he’s coming. He came in the flesh the first time, and the darkness did not overpower the love of Jesus. When he came. God’s word guarantees that darkness doesn’t have the ability to overcome. 00:05:04 Speaker 2 Right. We are on the winning side. Don’t ever forget it, no matter how hard the battle is. When the devil tries to discourage you. Remember that in the end, we win. When you hear something that is off the wall and you can hardly believe it. Don’t let that marinate in your brain. Investigate what you heard. Examine the facts. 00:05:24 Speaker 2 And the truth? 00:05:25 Speaker 2 Question where your information came from and ask pertinent questions to get to the truth. The amplified Bible says in first Corinthians 24. 00:05:35 Speaker 2 The spiritual person tries all things he examines. He investigates, he inquires into he questions and discerns all things you look in the spirit at all things that are received in your brain. Yes, because as I heard taffy dollar say the other day, there are 16. 00:05:54 Speaker 2 1000 to 20,000 thoughts that come streaming through your mind every day? Yeah, that seems like an amazing amount. But if you think about it, that’s why it’s hard for some of us to get to sleep because they’re swirling around in our brain. Still, every second of every minute of every hour of. 00:06:13 Speaker 2 Of the day. And so we’ve got to guard against those that are that bring us down that are not good for us. So you look in the spirit at all things that are received in your thoughts because you have the mind of Christ when you’re born again, you now have the mind of Christ. Praise the Lord, and at the end it’s we win. We win. Hallelujah. 00:06:34 Speaker 2 We win. I read the back of the book and we win. Praise the Lord that used to be a song in the 80s. It was a song we win. We win. Hallelujah. We win. I read the back of the book and we win. It was a great. 00:06:51 Speaker 2 I I’m going to do something on the more serious level because I got a text the other day about October 7th, 2023, being Yom Kippur. 00:07:01 Speaker 2 And it was not so. I kind of researched. I went into going into what? What festival? It really was. And on October 7th, 2023, the Palestinian Islamist militant group Hamas initiated a surprise attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip. 00:07:20 Speaker 2 As part of the attack, 364 civilians were killed and many more wounded by Hamas at the supernova Sukkot gathering. That was the official title. The supernova suit coat gathering, and if any of you are messianic, you know suitcoat means it’s the feast of. 00:07:40 Speaker 2 Tabernacles so you want to to realize that this had a a hint of what we know about in the Bible about. 00:07:49 Speaker 2 The feast and. 00:07:49 Speaker 2 Leviticus and Deuteronomy, Leviticus and numbers. And. 00:07:54 Speaker 2 Irony. But this was basically a a secular gathering, an open air music festival, and it was during the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret. Now many of you haven’t heard of that. It’s the 8th day of the assembly which observed the Sioux Coat Festival, the Feast of Tabernacles. 00:08:15 Speaker 2 Which commemorates the bond between God and the Jewish people. One of the main features of Shemini Atzeret is the recitation of prayer, which asks for the blessing of rain in the upcoming agricultural season and symbolizes God’s protection and provision for. 00:08:31 Speaker 2 Israel now, I’m sure these young people that went to this festival were not praying for protection and provision for Israel and rain in the agricultural season, OK? And so we know that the roots of shemini atzeret date back to the biblical era, and shemini atzeret is one of the few Jewish holidays. 00:08:52 Speaker 2 That is observed by both Orthodox and reformed Jewish communities in America, shemini atzeret typically falls between late September and late October on the Gregorian calendar. 00:09:05 Speaker 2 In the United States, Jewish Americans celebrate the holiday by attending synagogue services, participating in focused prayer for rain, and engaging in meals and events with family and friends. Kind of like Thanksgiving here, and some congregations also observe the Simplot Torah, which celebrates the conclusion of the annual cycle. 00:09:25 Speaker 2 Of Torah readings, see Torah goes through the readings just like each and every one of us. Christians should read the Bible from Genesis to revelation. I don’t know why. 00:09:35 Speaker 2 The Christians don’t, but they don’t. They’re much lazier than the Jewish people, but the Jewish people are very faithful in reading the Torah and this joyous day, which often includes parading with the tourist girls, brings communal unity and spiritual inspiration to Jewish people across the United States. If you’ve ever been to a synagogue and been to one of their meetings. 00:09:56 Speaker 2 After he reads, he takes up these big scrolls out of this cabinet. I mean, they’re. 00:10:01 Speaker 2 Huge. And then after he’s read some of the inscription inside, then he kisses that Torah that that the scroll and he puts it back. It’s it’s just a beautiful ceremony. The Biblical book of Nehemiah. It’s chapter 8, verse 18 mentions how all men in Jerusalem gathered at the Holy Temple to hear the Torah. 00:10:22 Speaker 2 On the day of Shemini Atzeret, this commemorates the Sabbath in the wilderness, but these young people were gathering to observe a Hebrew holy day in name only. 00:10:32 Speaker 2 They came for that weekend to dance and have a good time. I’m telling you. And they gathered. Yeah, they to have fun and fellowship. They had a DJ who played what the world calls Trance music. Now, I had never heard of Trance music, and I’m sure some of you younger ones have. I looked it up and it’s a spellbinding rhythm. 00:10:53 Speaker 2 Which is intoxicating, and when it goes on and on for hours, it’s hypnotizing. 00:10:59 Speaker 2 There were projections on a huge screen, with young people dancing until dawn. I listened to this trance music for just a few moments and it was numbing. It was numbing and God does not want you numb even on the way to the studio today. You’ve probably been next to cars that are going. 00:11:19 Speaker 2 Boom, boom, boom, boom. I couldn’t wait for the light to turn green because it was just a booming sound and I can’t imagine what it’s like in the car with the driver next to. 00:11:32 Speaker 2 It it’s just an amazing thing how these young people love the loud boom, boom, boom bass music. So supernova, Sukkot gathering was a weekend long outdoor trance music festival that began on October 6th and was produced by an organizer called Nova. It was the Israeli take on universal. 00:11:53 Speaker 2 Parallelo, a psychedelic trance festival, started 23 years prior in Bahia, Brazil, so it doesn’t have anything really to do with Jewish festivals or anything. It’s just a fun time for people. In fact, it’s very worldly time. 00:12:10 Speaker 2 On October 7th, it took place in the Western Negative Desert, a little over 3 miles from the Gaza Israeli barrier. Now they felt very safe. They were just three miles from Gaza on October 7th, and they felt safe being there. The lineup included artists well known in the psychedelic trance scene. 00:12:30 Speaker 2 And it was scheduled to coincide with Jewish holidays. 00:12:33 Speaker 2 As if that matters to the Lord of final day of Sukkot, October 6th, and Simka Torah in October 7th, the Rave was billed as a celebration of friends, Love and Infinite Freedom. Attendees described the crowd as mostly consisting of Israelis aged 20 to 40 from across the country. Attendance was reported to be 3500. 00:12:55 Speaker 2 But figures vary. Security guards and police were present at the festival at 6:30 AM and you know, you dance and you sit and you listen to this music until dawn, and then you keep on dancing. It was sunrise and rockets were noticed in the sky. 00:13:10 Speaker 2 Around 7:00 AM, a siren warned of incoming rocket attack, prompting festival goers to flee. Armed militants dressed in military attire and using motorcycles, trucks and powered paragliders surrounded the festival grounds and indiscriminately fired on individuals attempting to escape and I’m sure you watched those videos. 00:13:33 Speaker 2 Over and over and over again resulted in many who were murdered, and I have a picture of the cars lined up, burned out, burned out in my next. 00:13:44 Speaker 2 Express newsletter. It’s just amazing. All the hundreds of cars burned out vehicles. Those who attended were not carrying out a biblical event, but a very worldly event that had new age implications. There are many secular Jews in Israel who are not devoted to God. Although we grieve with those who were. 00:14:04 Speaker 2 Kidnapped and those who were. 00:14:05 Speaker 2 Murdered. It’s so important that we get on track with a holy God and not people who celebrate in name only. And that’s what Paul is trying to talk to the people about in Romans 8. He’s wanting them to realize what it is from God and what is disguised in a worldly setting. As it was here in this festival. 00:14:25 Speaker 2 Hope to cover some of the misconceptions of a relationship with God and a Willy fleshly cover that may excite people, but it’s not. 00:14:32 Speaker 2 God, it can excite you. You can jump up and down, you can yell and scream, but if it’s not of God, do you know who gets the glory? Yeah, the devil. The Jewish people making a gold calf to worship at the foot of Mount Sinai is a prime example of a people gone astray gone crazy. And I want to go to Exodus 32 versus 2 through 6. 00:14:54 Speaker 2 And it says so. Aaron. And this was the brother of Moses. Moses was up on Sinai. He was getting the 10 Commandments from God. And guess what, the people were doing, they were mumbling and grumbling and saying, when is he coming down? When is he coming down? So Aaron said take the gold rings from the ears of your wives and your daughters and bring them to me. 00:15:14 Speaker 2 And all the people took the gold rings from their ears and brought them to Aaron. Then Aaron took the gold, melted it down. It must have taken a while and molded it into the shape of a cat. 00:15:25 Speaker 2 If, when the people saw it, they exclaimed. Ohh Israel. These are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt. See? They’re worshipping this idol. And then Aaron, who is so excited. He built an altar in front of the calf. Oh, this is so awful. And he explained. And he announced tomorrow. 00:15:46 Speaker 2 Will be a festival to the Lord. 00:15:49 Speaker 2 Here they’re worshipping a calf. They’re jumping up and down, excited about this idol that they’ve built, and they are saying tomorrow we will worship the Lord. Do you think the Lord gets the glory for that? No. The people got up early the next morning to sacrifice burnt offerings and peace offerings. And these were only for God. 00:16:09 Speaker 2 But they gave they worship the calf with these burnt offerings and peace offerings. And after this they celebrated with feasting and drinking. And they indulged in Pagan revelry. And I’m sure that’s what happened at this festival on October 6th and seven. 00:16:27 Speaker 2 Oh, and God help them. I just believe that if we got back to God, friends, if we got back to knowing him, to knowing God, he would be so much more willing to bless. I mean, bless the whole Earth, cover the whole earth with his glory. I want to go to Romans 115 through 32. 00:16:48 Speaker 2 Well, I’ll start kind of at the beginning, though. Romans one verse. 00:16:52 Speaker 2 Mix Paul is saying. I’m eager to come to you in Rome to preach the good news. 00:16:58 Speaker 2 For I am not ashamed, and the King James version says of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am not ashamed of this good news about Christ. It is the power of God at work for salvation, saving everyone who believes the Jew 1st and also the Gentile. This good news tells us how God makes us right in. 00:17:17 Speaker 2 His sight, this gospel in front of me tells me how I can obey Jesus Christ, how I can live an obedient life, and so the good news tells us how to make things right before God. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith, as the scriptures say, the righteous person shall live. 00:17:38 Speaker 2 By faith, by faith in God. But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. We know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to. 00:17:51 Speaker 2 Them and so many people say my brother has never heard about Jesus. He doesn’t know about God here. It says they know the truth about God because he’s made it obvious to them for ever since the world was created, people have seen the Earth and sky through everything God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities. 00:18:11 Speaker 2 His eternal power and divine nature, so they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And I hope you’re giving God thanks every day that’s so important. 00:18:26 Speaker 2 And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. Well, this is what I think God will like. So I think I think I should do this because this is what God likes and they don’t have an idea. They have never read the Bible. They have no inkling of what’s going on. And as a result, their minds became dark and confused, claiming to be wise, they instead became. 00:18:48 Speaker 2 Utter fools and instead of worshipping the glorious, ever living God, they worshipped idols made to look like near people and birds and animals and reptiles. And the golden calf. Yeah. So God abandoned them to whatever shameful things in their heart. 00:19:04 Speaker 2 Desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. See, that’s the one thing we can play with our bodies. We can tattoo our bodies. We can Pierce our bodies. We can draw on our bodies. We can do anything we want on our bodies. But you know what? Our bodies are Temple of Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus Christ as. 00:19:24 Speaker 2 Savior it becomes his instrument of praise, so they traded the truth about God for a lie and they worshipped and served the things God created instead of the creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise. Of all our praise. Amen. Oh, it’s so important to be able to praise God every day. 00:19:45 Speaker 2 As I went out of the garage today. 00:19:47 Speaker 2 I was just kind of mulling over what I was going to be talking about on the radio and there by the garage where all the daylilies in full bloom. They hadn’t been in bloom yesterday, all in full bloom. That was just such an amazing sight. And I began to praise him. Oh Lord, only you can make the colors so beautiful. Only you can make the flowers so gorgeous. 00:20:09 Speaker 2 And he is. He’s the only one that can really do it. Here. Here, friend is Paul Wilbur. Blessed is the Lord. 00:20:43 Speaker 3 Just run. 00:20:45 Speaker 3 Birdland. 00:20:48 Speaker 3 He who makes a pathway in. 00:20:54 Speaker 3 He who makes the sun to rise and rain to fall. 00:21:00 Speaker 3 The. 00:21:03 Speaker 3 The Lord. 00:21:14 Speaker 3 Greatest God. 00:21:28 Speaker 3 The maker of the. 00:21:32 Speaker 3 Go. 00:21:52 Speaker 3 Salvation. 00:21:58 Speaker 3 The mountains quake and. 00:22:04 Speaker 3 There is no other one, no. 00:22:15 Speaker The. 00:22:27 Speaker 3 The. 00:22:35 Speaker 3 Sky. 00:23:19 Speaker 3 Are. 00:23:21 Speaker 3 The saddest hearings are God most high. 00:23:33 Speaker 3 Listen. 00:23:51 Speaker 3 God. 00:25:12 Speaker 2 Oh, bless it. Be the Lord Adonai. Oh, it’s so wonderful to know. I I do wish I I knew Hebrew. I’m glad Kimberly is is learning Hebrew. She hasn’t been taking very many classes lately, but she she really enjoys it. I want to just continue for a short time. 00:25:32 Speaker 2 It’s very serious, but I know, but we want to make the Lord the Lord of our life, not only our savior who frees us from sin and gives us eternal life, but we want to know him as man. 00:25:45 Speaker 2 Master as Lord and so God abandoned them. And this is Romans one, verse 26 to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other and the men instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. What do you think that is? 00:26:06 Speaker 2 Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin they suffered within themselves. The penalty they deserved since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned. 00:26:16 Speaker 2 Them to their foolish thinking and let them do the things that should have never been done. When we become born again, we begin to look into the word of God and say, Lord, what do you desire for me? How do you want me to live? And we go by those principles. In the wonderful book that he’s given to us in the. 00:26:37 Speaker 2 The love letter that he’s given to you and me. 00:26:39 Speaker 2 And I appreciate that so much every day as I open the pages of the Bible, I am so grateful to God that I have that manual, that Atlas, that I can look to because I don’t know where I’m going from day-to-day. And you don’t either. But God has directed us by his word. Oh, it’s so good being with you today. God bless you and think of Israel. 00:26:59 Speaker 2 Think of those people that are still grieving. May God open the windows of heaven for those people and bring the hostages home. God bless you and keep you and take joy. 00:27:20 Speaker 1 Thank you for listening to call to freedom.
