SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Sonship, Your Rights, Privileges, and Inheritance. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, Sonship, Your Rights, Privileges, and Inheritance. And it is wrong when people say God is in control. No, he gave the earth to man. And the earth is under man’s dominion since Genesis 1.26. It’s because man has done a bad job of ruling that he’s let the devil run loose. But what happens is what we allow. Whenever you hear people say God is in control, 99% of the time that’s not true. The only time it’s true is when you are fully yielded to him obeying him. Then you have given him or delegated to him authority and control as you put yourself under him to follow and obey him. But as soon as you said, well, I’m going to do it my way this way, then you’ve taken it out of his hands again and he’s no longer in control. Now you’re back in control. Now you’ve got the steering wheel in your hands again. So he’s only in control when you totally give him the steering wheel and you obey him. But anytime you get out of that yieldedness to him and you start doing it your way, and we’ve all done this probably almost every day. I mean, we try to yield to God, but then there are times when we get in our own mind and And we think, I’m going to do it this way. Well, if your way is this way and his way was that way and you go this way, then you’ve taken the steering wheel again. And now the steering wheel is in your hand and now you are in control. So the only time he’s in control is when you are obeying him. When you get out of obedience and go your way, he’s not in control because you are not a puppet on a string. You have a free will. You can go this way or that way. Every day you make your choices. And situation by situation, actually, I mean, in one day you can yield to him and then not yield to him in five minutes, 15 minutes, you know, it’s moment by moment. But I wanted to show you, actually, there is scripture and it’s in the NIV translation. Actually, the other translations say it with different words, but not as clear and direct as it says it in the NIV. First John 5, 19. Now, this is the Bible. Whenever somebody says, well, God is in control, you just quote them 1 John 5, 19. We know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. The world. God’s not controlling the world. The whole world, that means the world system, is The kingdom of this world is under the control, not of God, of the evil one, of the evil one. And that’s like I said, the NIV, the others make that meaning, but not so direct. But I want you to see, as I’ve said before, there’s two kingdoms. There’s the kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world. God is in control of his kingdom. He’s in control of his plan, the plan of redemption. He sent Jesus right on time, as it said in Galatians 4, 4, when the time had fully come. God sent his son, born of a woman, born under law. Every prophecy of God is fulfilled exactly on time. That’s where he is in control. He will get it done some way, somehow, through some person. But whether or not you are involved is your choice. So he’s in control of his plan of redemption. And over the time period, every prophecy he has made about what he has said about redemption and the coming of the Lord, he’s in charge of that. But whether or not you are part of it is your choice. Your choice. So back to authority. Then the son has the authority. The slave does not have authority. The son has rights, privileges, and benefits. The slave in John 8, 35, a slave has no permanent place. John 8, 35, a slave has no permanent place in the family. So the slave owns nothing. That’s where I was also talking about ownership. A slave owns nothing. And that’s the problem. If you don’t take ownership of what God has given you, you are having a slave mentality. If you do not take ownership, if you say everything’s God’s, then you are having a slave mentality. Because a son takes ownership of his portion. A son takes ownership. A slave owns nothing. And so you have to take ownership of what you know is your portion. God has given to you. Then you own it and you rule over it. You use your authority and dominion over what God has given you. And then the inheritance again, a slave has no inheritance, but a son has an inheritance. Galatians chapter four, verses six and seven, Galatians four, six and seven. A son has an inheritance because you are sons. God sent the spirit of his son into our hearts. the spirit who calls out Abba father verse seven. So you are no longer a slave, but a son. And since you are a son, God has made you also an heir. heir hallelujah because you’re a son you have an inheritance and verse 30 Galatians 4 30 what does the scripture say get rid of the slave woman and her son and we’ll make it like this get rid of slave mentality get rid of slave mentality For the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son. The slave never shares in the inheritance. Get rid of slave mentality. And in other words, the point of this is no, you are a son. Start taking advantage of and using your position, your rights, your privileges, and your inheritance. What God has given to you. Romans chapter 8, Romans 8, 14 through 17 says, because those who are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Now, actually, that word son there is a full grown son. That’s the mature son. So it’s an identifier of maturity when you are led by the spirit of God. That identifies maturity. Verse 15. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave. Again, to fear. But you received the spirit of sonship. Sonship. And by him we cry, Abba, Father. The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs. Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Now, joint heir, there’s a difference there between co-heir and joint heir. That if your father has 100 acres and he gives 50 acres to one son and 50 to the other son, they are co-heirs. But joint heirs means they both own all 100 acres. It’s like a joint tax return, a joint bank account. When you’re married and you have a joint bank account with your spouse, then both names are on the account and both people own the account. It’s jointly owned, equally owned. You file a joint tax return. And so it’s equal. So it’s not 50-50. It’s both own all of it. We are joint heirs with Christ, which means everything Christ has, we are joint heirs with him. Well, that would totally make sense when we are his body. How can the head own this, but the arms and the legs don’t own this? I mean, if you own the chair, my head owns it, but my arms and legs don’t own it. That’s silly, right? So we are his body. So that’s why we jointly own everything that he has. Because we’re one with him. We are one with him. He’s the head. We’re the body. So we share everything. That’s why we sit together with him, not sit below him. I mean, how can you say my head is on this chair, but my body is on that chair? No, we sit together. We are seated together with him in heavenly places. Ephesians 2, 6. Amen. We’re with him because we are his body. We are his body. And we’re joined with him. Praise the Lord. Amen. Amen. So Galatians 5.1. Let me share this with you. Galatians 5.1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then. And do not let… yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery bondage. So Jesus came to set us free from slavery and make us sons joint heirs with him. But he said, don’t let yourself again be burdened by the yoke of slavery or come back under slavery. I’ve raised you up and I made you a son, but it’s your walking with the Lord, walking in the word. Don’t let yourself come back down under this yoke of slavery. And a lot of Christians have actually become slaves to their circumstances rather than ruling over their circumstances. A lot of Christians have become slaves to their circumstances instead of ruling, having dominion over their circumstances. And that’s the dominion that God gave us in Genesis 126. He gave us dominion. What you just heard was the continuation of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called sonship, your rights, privileges and inheritance. And if you’ve never asked Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior personally, then you are not a son of God. Yes, God has created every human being, but. you only become a son of God by choice, by faith, by prayer. As it says in Galatians 3, 26, you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. So it’s only your personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ that makes you a Christian and a son of God. Even being water baptized, but not making the confession of faith does not save you. Going to church does not save you without making a personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ. And even if your parents are born again children of God, it does not make you a child of God unless you personally make a confession of faith and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. So just say this real quickly. Say, Dear Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to you right now. In Jesus name. Amen. Praise God. Now you are a born again child of God. And now you also get the rights, privileges, and inheritance of a child of God. Glory to God. And if you just prayed that prayer for the first time, I’d love for you to write to me at info at victoriousfaith.co. Now join me again tomorrow for the continuation of this message. And remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
