Welcome to Seeds of Revelation. Today’s short devotional is presented by Cynthia Schneider.
SPEAKER 01 :
Shalom. Today I want to talk about David. David is the one who wrote so many of the Psalms and so many of the writings that we have from the Old Testament. And any of you who have studied and seen the writings of David, it’s clear that he is a very expressive person. God loved David. It says that David had a heart that chased after God and God loved David. Was David perfect? No, he was so far from perfect, just like ourselves. But you know what I love that’s so beautiful about David is he was so expressive. You know, read those Psalms every day. Just pick out another one. He’s so expressive. I love how he is so expressive in what he’s teaching me. He’s a man after God’s heart. God has his eyes upon him. God loved David. It’s clear from the scriptures. And what is he? He’s a man who expresses himself. his heart and his emotions, his struggles, his humanness, his trials and all his frustrations with other people and the enemies. And he expresses himself to the Lord. I believe that that’s a big lesson that the Lord wants us to get out of why he put all of the Psalms and David’s writings into the Old Testament is he’s teaching us that that’s what he loves. It’s not about David’s perfection. It’s not about my perfection or your perfection. It’s that we have a heart to chase after him. That every day in the middle of the battles, in the middle of the struggles, we cry out to him. Philippians 4, 6, and 7 is a scripture I’ve been focusing on. I just love it. He teaches me in every situation that I should be petitioning Him in prayer, that I should bring everything to Him. He wants to hear. He knows already, but He wants to have this communion with us. It’s all about relationship, and number one, relationship with Him. And if we can get that straight, then everything down here will be blessed. It’s not about our perfection today. It’s about our seeking his face and seeking his ways and following and be obedient to him. So Abba Father today, we just reach out to you. We express all of our emotions today. I pray that those that are watching this right now, that they have just a wealth of emotions. They have a wealth of things going on in their lives, their struggles, their pains. And Lord, That you will just listen as you always do and that they will express themselves, that you can speak to them, speak to their heart, touch them. the heart and the soul where no man can touch, but you can go. You touch and you make us hide within you. Lord, you make everything corrected by your spirit. So I thank you that we can be free to express ourselves and you listen and you respond. Hallelujah and amen.
