Oh, praise God, gorgeous day here in Denver, and we just welcome you to this show called Darren in Denver. I’m Darren, my wife Barbara is here, and we say good morning.

Good morning. Have a wonderful day. I know we have listeners from Nebraska, and we hear from listeners in New Mexico, and I haven’t heard from Texas for quite a while, but I know there are listeners down there in that panhandle too, and Oklahoma, and wow, Kansas. We hear from friends in Kansas often.

Lots of friends in Kansas, praise God.

Tonight we’re going to have a meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7 o’clock p.m. Now, I want to tell you something ahead of time. What we’re going to give you tonight, I believe, will expand your prayer life. And I guess one thing I look at people, I say, well, do they get their prayers answered? And at one point, one of the writers in the New Testament says, well, when we get here, or when I get there, we won’t check out so much your arrogant words, but your power. Do you have power? And I’ll tell you, Barbara, there’s a lot of people masquerading today as just wonderful Christians and they have Zippo zero power. And we want to show you how to get your prayers answered. A lot of you need to stop and think now. How long has it been since I know that I know that I know that I had an answer to prayer when I prayed? I mean, I received an answer and nobody can talk me out of it. I know that I got an answer from God. How many people do we know, Barbara, that just they’re over there in that gray area and they pray and they’re just not very confident about God hearing them, number one, number two, answering their prayers. And it just kind of kind of just skipping along.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, when they pray also, we’ve talked to some people. They say they’ve prayed and Holy Spirit hasn’t told them, and the answer is right in front of them. And I believe distractions in this life and the cares of this life and worries of this life have so engulfed them, they don’t even hear when Holy Spirit is speaking to them and speaking answers to them right in front of them. Right. And they’re saying, I’m not hearing from God. And it’s just as plain as the nose on their face. And so I believe this lesson tonight is going to be really good. We’re trying to, on Tuesday nights, build you up in the Lord Jesus so that you can say, I know who Father God is and I know who I am in Christ Jesus. When you’ve got those two foundational principles established in your life, Darren, I believe the rest of it is just going to come along like a locomotive and the little cars, the freight engines, the little choo-choo trains.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now give those two principles again.
SPEAKER 02 :
The ones that I just gave?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 02 :
When you know who Father God is in your life and you know who you are in Christ Jesus, those two basic foundational tools are what makes every Christian strong.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, I’m glad you gave it in that order, folks, because when you get it straight, when you go back to the original copy, which is God himself, and he says, I made you in my image and my likeness. You can know who you are if you know who he is. And some people always want to focus, and this world today is so secular that we’ve got to look at ourselves. In fact, I was watching a little television documentary, and they were trying to figure out, man, if they could understand this crocodile better. And I said to you, isn’t that something? We’ve got to go out and look at a crocodile to try to understand who we are. I want to say to those people in that broadcast, get a life.
SPEAKER 02 :
But, you know, people are watching it, Darren. Or we’ve got it.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, I saw another one. I kind of like to watch the Nature Channel. I guess they’re more interesting than people sometimes. But these fellows were digging out into a bear’s den. And they were trying to figure out why this bear… didn’t lose weight during hibernation, and they said some interesting things. The bear didn’t eat, and the bear didn’t eliminate, and yet they had these cubs, and the cubs were nursing in the den and all this kind of stuff. If we could just figure that out, maybe we could figure out how we could survive going to a distant planet. Well, that may be interesting science, but sometimes we look at the craziest things trying to figure ourselves out, and if we go to God, he could help us.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes. And another thing on Tuesday nights, we have such a wonderful core group of faith people that are there. If I had a need, Darren, in my personal life, I would go on Tuesday nights for prayer because there is a group of partners there that come. They are so full of faith and we do see answers to prayer on Tuesday night. Now, I know that some of you leave Tuesday night. And your answers are ongoing. God will continue to answer those prayers. But at least initially, it begins there. And we welcome you. If you have any kind of situations in your life where there’s questions or you’re in confusion regarding somebody in your life or something in your life, come. It’s really good.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, very honestly, some of you are in churches and Bible studies and whatever, and they’re a group of facilitators. And let me tell you, folks, I won’t get it done. You need to know the God that answers prayer. And by the way, in the 19th verse of Matthew 13, here’s what it says. When anyone hears the words of the kingdom and does not understand it, the devil comes and rips them off. It says the devil comes and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. Well, in other words, you need to have understanding. And we teach about revelation knowledge and how you can have that understanding that’s unshakable. You need that if you’re going to have answers to prayer. So we’re there on Tuesday nights to help you grow in the Lord. And we’re not trying to get you to join our church. It isn’t a church. No, we’re trying to make you strong. And perhaps they don’t teach the power of the word. We believe in miracles. We believe in answered prayer. And we never said, you’ll never, you have never heard us say, it only happens with Darren and Barbara. No, no. We know that this word is for everybody. And God is no respecter of persons. That means if Darren and Barbara get their prayers answered, guess what? You can, too. Absolutely. And so tonight we’re going to be teaching a lesson so foundational in you getting hooked up with God and getting on his frequency, doing it his way. And I’ll tell you, then it’ll be amazing thing. You can have answers at your house or your apartment or your mobile home or your office or your car, your truck. You can get answers. And that’s what it’s about.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, like this letter I read yesterday. This power partner had a situation in her life where she needed prayer for healing for a loved one. And she went right to the Bible, and she had key scriptures in her Bible. It was so wonderful to see that letter. And so many of you, when you correspond with Darren in Denver, you write scripture. You’re really learning. It’s great. It’s wonderful to see that. And also had card numbers from her power pack that she was reading every day. It really works when we get hooked up in the word because Darren, it says in Romans 14, 17, the kingdom of God is not meat and drink. That’s not what we take in physically every day. But the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. We need to be prepared in the spirit for what’s going on.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you need to have a good diet of the word. And it says in Matthew 4, 4, man shall not live by McDonald’s. That’s right. Fast food. And, you know, Pizza Hut and Domino’s. It says man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Yes. And he’s saying, hey, it’s not the physical thing that’s going to cause you to survive. It’s the spiritual realities. And we’re so excited about the word. We’re zealots for the word. Because it works. That’s right. Bottom line. Now, I’ve been around a lot of phony baloney stuff in my life in the church, in public education, in business. I don’t have three seconds for that. If it doesn’t work, I don’t even want to hear about why it doesn’t work.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, you know, I believe a lot of our listeners believe that. They believe the word. It is not historical to them. It is true and real. And last night we were asleep. We were in bed and it was after midnight and the phone rings. And a young friend who’s in France. She had a physical need. Who did she call? She called Darren. And she said, Darren, could you pray for me? I have pain. And it was so cute how you said, is it light there? And she said, yes. And he says, well, it’s dark here. I was just waking up.
SPEAKER 03 :
What I was trying to do was get her to… If I could get her to laugh, I knew I could get her healed.
SPEAKER 02 :
Because she was in pain.
SPEAKER 03 :
She was in pain. And she’s a delightful kid. And God has placed her in the middle of my life. It’s an assignment. Because this kid has such a phenomenal… call on her life. I mean, she’s got things going for her. I saw that the first time I met her and God says, I want you to pray for this kid. Well, I don’t know what designs God has on her. He hadn’t told me, but I know it’s, it’s not just the low road. God’s got a call on her for the high road. She’s got wonderful family. And but it’s just like God has given me a kind of a divine hookup.
SPEAKER 02 :
We do. We we hook up with people, Darren, that we know they can get results. And if you and I are hurting, we have a few couples here that we can go to and we can say, hey, I want you to pray for me. We need those kind. That kind of reinforcement in people around us. I’ll tell you, some of you are hooked up with people that are empty. They are absolutely empty. And the words that come out of their mouth for you are worthless. Don’t listen to that. You need to be hooked up with people that are grounded in the word. But love the word of God and love Jesus. And they go to him first of all. And that’s exactly what we do. And this young woman, I’ll tell you, she she was almost free from pain by the time we and you were half asleep praying. But I mean, it works over in France as well as it works here.
SPEAKER 03 :
OK, this might sound self-serving, but since you brought it up, we’ll talk about it. The reason she felt that she wanted to talk to me is I have a track record with her. I prayed with her before, and she’s seen, and she loves Jesus. She has Jesus in her heart. She’s a Christian, okay? But she’s seen this work. Well, God puts people in our lives and gives us a special hookup. And I know that there are people that I think of one lady, a dear friend of mine. I can call her. She is a true intercessor. She can get a hold of God’s ear 24 hours a day. And I know when she prays, and I’ve known her for 20 years, but I know when she prays, she’ll get an answer.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. An intercessor means that. It means lifting up someone in prayer. You are actually a prayer for someone else to increase their faith or to lift them up or to get prayers answered.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you know, Barbara, when I look at her hands, she has the tiniest hands. Frail. I’d say she’s petite. She would be, I’d say, frail physically. But I’ll tell you something, in the spirit world, she is a dynamo. And she’s not afraid of the devil. And she’ll get in there. And she’ll go after it and she’ll pay the price until the victory is won. And I have great, great confidence in her prayers. But guess what? She has a tremendous word level.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, you know, Jesus himself said your faith, in many instances, said your faith has made you whole. Well, these people contact people that they have trust in and faith in because the faith combined is going to really bring that answer that they’re wanting. And even, you know, these people, they had to hook up with Jesus or a disciple or in the New Testament, it was the apostles.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know something else? I just thought of this, Barbara. This lady… knew that I was going to marry you three weeks before I did. Now, that’s not fair. But that’s how close she walks with God. And, you know, I would put my situation in her hands any day because I know she would represent me well before the throne of God.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, I think what got to you is that the fact that you always thought that God gave you the revelation first, you know, that it’s a little ego trip. Well, yeah. To find out that somebody else knew before you did, it was just really humbling.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, I think it’s this way. I think it’s that God would speak to a woman.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, now you can call Darren. Oh, I’ll tell you what. You can flood him with calls.
SPEAKER 03 :
A male, whatever. Well, I want to tell you this, folks, God, God knows our hearts. And when I prayed for this precious friend last night and she’s, she’s in high school, but I prayed for her. It was just so neat because I knew going in God to answer my prayer.
SPEAKER 02 :
I knew that.
SPEAKER 03 :
And I knew that she would receive from the Lord. And that is so neat.
SPEAKER 02 :
Isn’t it wonderful? We serve a God who’s everywhere at all times. And he’s always awake. Always awake. And we don’t have to call. Well, I need to get hold of this person over here who’s in charge of this over here. Praise God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, you don’t get an answering machine when you call heaven. You don’t get somebody’s voicemail. You don’t get a menu that says, press one if it’s this problem. Press two if it’s that problem. If you speak this language, push this button over here.
SPEAKER 02 :
I know. The other day, we’re kind of working on our phone systems in the ministry, and I noticed the other day as you were waiting. 30 minutes waiting. You would be hitting different buttons on the telephone. If you need this, you push this. If you need this, you push that. We don’t have to wait. We don’t, Darren. Oh, praise God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and if you didn’t understand the instructions, return to the main menu, punch star key. If you’re… I mean, you go through all of this stuff, and all of you know what I’m talking about. Sometimes we call the airlines. They want to know, is it domestic or is it a foreign flight? What are you asking for? Punch this button, punch that button. Well, the one I got yesterday happened to be with a phone company, and I understand a lot of changes are going on with U.S. West. So here I am and they’re saying it’s finally, you know, well, we’re very busy because of the deluge of calls. You’re important to us, but please stay on the line. Do not hang up. You know, you get all this. But then they say, finally, I’ve been on here about 20 minutes and they say it’s approximately four minutes. OK, that’s fine. And then their crazy music comes on the background. So I’m waiting. Then it was three minutes. Then it was two minutes. Then it was one minute. And then it was a long another minute. And this person came online. This young man was very good at what he did. And it didn’t take us long to get it all set up, all the things that I wanted. But that doesn’t happen when you call heaven.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. It doesn’t happen. I was really impressed with you, though. You put the phone down just for a few minutes to go get something, and I inadvertently, I mean, you were still in communication with this man who you had waited for for 30 minutes and i hung up the phone and you did not go ballistic i was really pleased and i was very sorry there was temporary murder in my heart oh i have to tell you because i waited for this guy and then you hung up the phone and i lost him and there’s no chance of getting him back on the line same man never oh
SPEAKER 03 :
But anyway, what we’re saying here, and all of you, I think you get bugged when you really need an answer and you’re calling someplace, maybe a friend or maybe you’re calling your church or you’re calling a business and they answer the phone and before you can say a thing, please hold, click, and you’re on hold.
SPEAKER 04 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I have learned that if I think that’s going to happen to me, I mean, I start talking before they do. Don’t put me on hold here. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Here’s who I want. Okay, hold on. And they put you through. But if you’re not real quick sometimes, you’re on hold and you’re frustrated. Sometimes you hang up and call back and they get the same. Well, we’re really, please hold, please hold, please hold. I love it when I don’t have to have an appointment with God. I can come any place I am.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER 03 :
I remember when I was in Europe, I could talk to him there. When I’m in the United States, I could talk to him there. When I’m in Mexico, I could talk to him, or Canada, or wherever. If I’m at 42,000 feet in an airliner, I fly in some place, I can talk to him there. I don’t get put on hold. It doesn’t matter what I’m bringing to him. He cares about that. And I have confidence that he is giving me his full attention. And I don’t know how many other million people are talking to him at the same time. But he has that wonderful ability to give me his full attention.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. He is a Father God that does not sleep. He does not slumber. You just reminded me of this wonderful scripture in Psalm 121. The one that starts, I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. From whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord. who made heaven and earth. See, this psalmist, he’s proclaiming God and his majesty first. He is serving a great God. This is what you need to do when you need to get pumped up a little bit. Who are you serving? You’re serving the greatest God of the universe. He’s just not some ordinary Joe. He is the great God, the creator of all. He will not allow my foot to slip. He who keeps me will not slumber. Put that in first person as you read Psalm 121. Behold, he who keeps me will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is my keeper. The Lord is my shade on my right hand. The sun will not smite me by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will protect me from all evil. The Lord will protect me from all evil. He will keep my soul. The Lord will guard my going out and my coming in from this time forth forever. What a psalm of protection and safety for us.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, Sunday we were talking to some dear friends and we were inquiring about their children. And this lady says, well, our oldest son has decided to go into full-time carpentry. because he’s such a brilliant carpenter. He was trained by an older craftsman. And they said he just, I mean, what he does is just so outstanding, and people want him to work for them. And, of course, the parents were very proud, and they should be. But the reason I share that with you, if you have a tendency or propensity or something you want to do, guess who put that in your heart? Very probably… And if that just keeps coming up and you’re doing something else other than your blueprint, and I want you while you’re in the book of Psalms to turn to Psalm chapter 20, verse 3. This is a scripture you shared with me the other day that means a lot to me. But sometimes we say, oh, God, I mean, that’s just something I really, really want to do. God wouldn’t possibly want me to do that. That must be my flesh. Well, maybe it’s your basic blueprint. Maybe that’s what you should be doing more than anything else. And you’re over here being a mechanic when you should be an artist. OK, are you hearing what I’m saying? And God puts these things in our basic, basic makeup. And we need not to deny that all the time. Are you at Psalm 20?
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
Verse three. Read that for us, would you?
SPEAKER 02 :
and says, well, let’s start from the very beginning. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble. And it’s the day of your trouble. God’s never got a day of trouble, so it’s your trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high. May he send you help from the sanctuary, that’s his throne room, and support you from Zion. May he remember all your offerings, remember he does in Acts 10.4, and find your burnt offerings acceptable. May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your counsel.
SPEAKER 03 :
Heart’s desire.
SPEAKER 02 :
Heart’s desire. And you were also saying in Psalm 21, the very next chapter, it says, thou hast given the king, and David’s talking about himself, his heart’s desire, and thou hast not withhold the request of his lips.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, now, tonight we’re going to be talking. Barbara, I love to work with people’s potential probably as much as anything.
SPEAKER 02 :
I know you do.
SPEAKER 03 :
And that may be getting them set free, getting them on a track, getting the junk of the past, the flashbacks shut off, cut off, put away, so that you can be what God has created you to be. And some of you are absolutely great people walking around in deception and you haven’t hooked into that blueprint. And I look at it like a glove that goes on a custom made glove. You know, you just feel that you just put, you know, one hand with the other hand. You pull out. Boy, that feels good. Man, that’s just a part of me.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
OK, now that’s the way it should be. And I want to say this to you. Some of you need to know how to get on track.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. Well, it’s just like you with you and radio. I’ll tell you, radio fits you, Darren Carmack, like a glove. You don’t have to bring any notes. You don’t have to bring anything but your Bible and a cup of coffee. And you are totally satisfied. Well, I can do it with my mouth. You can do it with your mouth. That’s what we want for you, our listeners. We want you to fit into something just like a glove on your hand.
SPEAKER 03 :
I was telling, matter of fact, these same friends that I mentioned about Sunday. I was telling him when I took my master’s degree and we got down to the end and they were going to give us a test. And so they lined up and they said, you’d be here at eight o’clock in the morning on a certain day. And and there were five questions on the test. And they said, be brief in your response. Well, I would rather talk than write. So I only wrote about two or three inches on the paper on each question. Well, a professor called me. He says, what in the blank is this? I said, and I see I’ve done this on purpose.
SPEAKER 02 :
So you could get to talk to him.
SPEAKER 03 :
I was gambling. I was gambling with my degree, and he called me, and he was cussing. What is this? I said, exactly what he’s saying. Well, you only wrote this much. And he asked me a few questions.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, he said to be brief.
SPEAKER 03 :
And that’s exactly what I said to him. I said, well, your instruction said to be brief. Well, I blank and blank didn’t want you to be that brief. Well, I knew what I was doing. I thought, well, if I can get in there, I can talk my way through a dog fight. And he said, well, you do know what you’re talking about. Yes, you pass. You’re going to get the degree. Get out of here. I went out of there praising God. You know, one more time, my mouth would save me.
SPEAKER 02 :
And see if we had those, like, five questions, and each question was a lot of points on the test. I would cover every inch of that paper. Every inch. Well, I got my A’s, too. But, I mean, you got it kind of unethical, don’t you?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, no, no. It’s shrewd like David. But I’ll tell you what. See, now, if I graded your examination, I’d say, you’re too wordy, woman. Sorry. Can you shorten this down? And I think it was the president one time. He said, pardon the length of this note, as I have not time to be brief. Sometimes it takes more to be brief than it does to be wordy.
SPEAKER 04 :
It really does.
SPEAKER 03 :
But what we’re really saying is we want to help you get on track. And many of you are very gifted, very bright. educated and yet you can’t get from one side of the page to the other it’s like the ben franklin balance sheet they give in sales they’ll say okay we’ll write down one side here why all these reasons ought to cause you to make a decision they do that often in sales or some people say now i have this gifting of these talents and these propensities and and so on then i ought to be over here but my life is so screwed up it’s a mess how can i get straightened out
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, and some people, Darren, they look at the Bible, and the Bible actually scares them.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s Greek, too.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. It truly is. And for some of you who the Bible, when you open it up, I mean, it is really scary for you to read. Darren and I hope that on these Tuesday nights, it is opening up for you so you can begin to read it and receive things for yourself. And especially this word righteousness. It scares a lot of people. Well, I don’t know. What right do I have? I’m a truck driver. I mean, you know.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, they think it’s a detergent.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, Darren, you’re going to explain it to them so they understand who they are in Christ Jesus. That’s so important.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know, Barbara, there are some people that are making, I’m going to say honestly, folks, we talk to lots of people. There are some people that are barely making $1,000 a month. If they could get up every day of their lives and look forward to going to work, to doing what they’re supposed to be doing, many of those same people would be making $100,000 a year. I have seen that happen.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, I believe that.
SPEAKER 03 :
When the person got set free and they got out of doing something over here that was mechanical and they got something over there that was just supernatural for them. They said, man, I shouldn’t get paid for this. I enjoy doing this. Well, why not? Why not? So God doesn’t want us to be over there as a square peg in a round hole. He wants us to be over here operating in the blueprint that he put in our lives. And that’s when things work. It’s just like a whale oil machine. But when you’re out of sync, you’re out of place, you’re doing something you weren’t gifted to do. And I don’t mean here about college education and technical school. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about those basic tendencies that make up you.
