Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus, the Messiah. Where are your eyes pointed? What direction are your eyes looking in? Some of us that have been to Israel have noticed that the Orthodox Jews there, when they’re walking, their eyes are straight in front of them. They’re looking straight down at the sidewalk or the walkway that they’re on. They don’t look to the left. They don’t look to the right. They don’t want to get caught into lust. Their eyes are straight ahead. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4, verse 25, Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Another scripture says, a wise man keeps his eyes in his own head. Beloved, we need to stop looking out there and we need to possess ourselves in the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing out there for us. It’s just a deception. It’s just a trick of the enemy to get us off focus and to take us into the darkness. We need to keep our eyes straight ahead. We need to keep our eyes in our own head. We need to stay focused, beloved, on the Lord. The fact that a spirit is within us and the living water comes to us by the spirit, not from something in the world, not from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life. Keep your eyes straight ahead.
