SPEAKER 01 :
Greetings, friends and new listeners. Welcome to the Archie Hardy Ministries program. I’m Sharon Knotts, and I’m so glad you tuned in today because we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Today’s message by my father, Brother Hardy, is truly vital for every Christian and is entitled Dominion Prayer. This is the kind of prayer that quenches all the fiery darts of the enemy. that pulls down strongholds and every high and lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. You need to know how to pray with dominion prayer.
SPEAKER 02 :
We ought to pray at every situation. We ought to pray at every opportunity. Praying with all prayer at all times. That means at every time. Every time you get a chance to pray. You should pray, what? When you’re waiting inside the office of the dentist. Instead of listening to that music they put in. or worried about the pain you’re going to feel. You should pray while you’re riding on a transit bus. You need to take prayer every time you get a chance. And the main thing is, we need to pray in the Spirit, which means under the anointing. Praying always with all prayer in the Spirit. It’s not in the spirit. It’s not going anywhere. And then Jude said in the 20th verse, building up yourself in your most holy faith, praying in what? Praying in the Holy Ghost. You see, prayer should be a life of prayer, not of just me and God. It should be aware of all your brothers and sisters in the battle because we are an army, and when we go forth, You don’t pray for yourself, only you pray for the whole army. Because if the other ones get destroyed, you’re going to get destroyed. And we’re only strong as the one and each other. We pray for the whole army. We are an army. You’ve got to get this in your mind. We are an army. We are the body of Christ. We are one. And if one member suffers, what happens? We all suffer. But if one member is glorified, what happens? We all are glorified. And not only that, our prayers shouldn’t be… Wish list prayers. Not only wish list. You know, some people, they have wish lists. And it shouldn’t be in the morning we pray over our coffee or our tea and then forget God the rest of the day. We need to pray every time we get a chance. You know what happens when you pray? You save yourself from being tempted. Remember, Jesus told Peter James and John, watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. If you’re praying, brother, you’re not going to be sinning. You’re not going to get weak. So we’re to pray always, every chance we get. The scripture says pray with what? Outceasing. And if we got our mind and we’re in contact with God, we can almost fulfill that to the very letter. Pray without ceasing. Pray for our brothers and sisters. Pray for our, do you pray, have any of you prayed for the president? Don’t raise your hand. Have any of you prayed for our leaders? Have any of you prayed for people over in Israel? Have you prayed? Pray without ceasing. Now I want to give you the perfect illustration of the power, dominion power. in operation to destroy the enemy. You want to follow me in 2 Kings, the sixth chapter. We’re going to talk about Mr. Elisha, God’s prophet. The king of Syria sent his armies to put a trap, an ambush to defeat Israel and bring them into servitude. And every time the general would draw up his plans to the king, God would whisper in Elisha’s ear and tell him his plan. And Elisha would tell it to the king and tell him not to go such and such a place. And it says not even twice, but many times, because God had made known to Elisha the praying prophet, the one praying man, Israel was saved. Until the king… Called all of his generals and soldiers and said, I want to know who’s on Israel’s side. Everything that we draw out in our plans, they know it. Somebody’s a traitor. And I want to find it out. He wanted to kill them. And one of his servants says, nobody’s betrayed your king. All your people are faithful. But there’s a one praying prophet in Israel. He’s in contact with God, and whatever you whisper in your bedchamber, God whispers in his ear, and he tells the generals and the leaders of Israel where they are, and that’s how they’re avoiding your contact. And the king says, well, my enemy is not Israel. My enemy is that one praying prophet. And that’s right, because he could not defeat Israel until he could get them in a place that he could attack them, and he couldn’t attack them because God was telling Elijah what to do, and he couldn’t attack them. So he had to get rid of Elijah. Now listen to this. I really like the humor. I like the humor of the Holy Ghost. 11th verse says, Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was troubled for this thing, and he called his servants and said unto them, Will you not show me which one of us is for the king of Israel? And one of the servants said, None, my lord, O king, but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words which thou speakest in that bedchamber. That means your secret place of all. And he said, Go and spy out where he is, this mighty powerful enemy, Elisha. And it was told him, saying, behold, he is a dolphin. One praying man, I want you to see this irony here. Look what he does. Therefore he sent forth horses and chariots and a great host, and they came by night and encompassed the city. He sent a mighty fortified whole army to get one praying prophet. I want to tell you what, prayer will make you greater than all the armies of the enemy. When you pray in the spirit and watch there unto of all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, then the devil has got to stop attacking them and come after you. But don’t worry, you stand with the armor and you pray and God strengthens you with might by his spirit in the inner man and you defeat him. Man, I just chuckled at this. That made me feel good. I laughed. I can see them now, the whole army going out. And some of the citizens says, what are you doing? What’s this whole army? What’s that great army going to attack? So that one praying prophet, we got to get that man. We got to defend him. We’re going to take the whole army, the whole host. We’re going to take all kinds of chariots and weapons. Can you get the picture? Did you get the spirit and see it that way? I laughed, I roared. And they encompassed, they came sneaking by night as if they could hide from God. And they encompassed the city. And when the servant of the man of God was risen up early and going forth, behold, a host encompassed the city both with horses and chariots. And the servant ran in and said to the master, Alas, what shall we do? What shall be done? See, when you’re not praying, you don’t have no spiritual sight, and all you see is the chariots and the horses and the enemy. When you’re not praying, all you have is carnal eyesight. You don’t have spiritual eyesight. Now, I want to tell you what. Elisha is eating breakfast when the servant come in and said, Alas, master, how shall we what we do? What are we going to do? The whole army’s out there. And listen to what the prophet says. And he answered and said, fear not. Took a sip of tea or whatever. For it said, they that are with us are more than they be with them. And because the servant was carnal and couldn’t see, he didn’t see nobody. So you know what Elijah did? See, prayer brought the enemy. Amen. You see, prayer brings the enemy to you. And then when you get the enemy in your sight and in your presence, then what did he do? He said, what shall we do? It was an evident fact to Elisha that he wasn’t going to do nothing but doubt that servant. But what Elisha was going to do was keep on doing what he was doing, praying. And listen to what he says. And Elisha prayed. And when trouble comes, don’t get fear and don’t get shook up, don’t know what to do. Pray. And Elisha prayed and said, Lord, I pray thee, open the eyes that he may see. Remember Paul prayed in the dominion power that we might have our eyes of understanding illuminated. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountains were full of horses and chariots, and fire ran about Elisha. The enemy was in trouble. He had one praying prophet in front of him, and the whole divine army of heaven on the behind him. And who didn’t get killed by Elisha’s prayer, the angels were going to kill him on the other side. Amen. Listen to that. And then he prayed what happened. And then he prayed again. And when they came down to him, the army came to get Elisha. Elisha didn’t get up and he says, and Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, Lord, smite this people I pray with blindness. So he said, open up this blind servant’s eyes, and I’m praying that God will open up God’s children’s eyes and see that when the enemy comes in like a flood, that the chariots and the fire and the soldiers and the warriors of God and the power of God is all around them and at your disposal. And he prayed and said, Lord, smite the people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elijah. Here is the whole Syrian army full of pride, full of armor, chariots, and shields. And they’re groping like a blind man. And Elisha’s finishing his breakfast. He conquered the whole army without getting up off of his breakfast table seat. He just kindly… Use the minion power of prayer. He just said, Lord, simple prayer. I mean, it wasn’t nothing great. He said, open up the boy’s eyes. And then he said, blind the enemy’s eyes. And that’s what we need to pray. Oh, God, open up your children’s eyes. And that’s what I do. God’s opened my eyes a little bit. And when I see, I say, oh, God, open up my church’s eyes. Not only my church, open up all the church in America. My God, not only that, but open up the eyes of your people all around the world and blind the enemy. Amen. Brother, when God opens our eyes, we find out that there is more for us than against us. And if God be for us, and he is, who or what can be against us? If you keep on praying, you will lose your natural eyesight and your spiritual eyes will be opened. Then you will look beyond the enemy that is surrounding you And you’re going to see the Lord has the enemy surrounded. I didn’t know I said those great words in my magazine when praying man. I thought it was pretty good. Even though Satan has an army, so does God have an army. Even though we’re fighting principalities and powers and thrones and dominions. We have Michael and Gabriel and the innumerable host of heaven. And Gabriel and Michael has beat him already and threw him out. Jesus said in Luke 10, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. And then in Revelations, it says that the dragon and his angels fought against Michael and his angels. And Michael prevailed and threw him out. And there was no place anymore in heaven. And when he comes on the earth, you need to throw him out. There’s no place in your life. Elisha never had to draw a sword or shoot one arrow. He didn’t even have to get up from his breakfast table. He just began to pray. Man ought to always pray and not faint. The first thing the enemy does is try to bring terror. Remember when I preached in the Valley of Baraka the blessings? and the tidings came to Jehoshaphat, and fear tried a gripping, but what did he do? He went into the house of the Lord and prayed. How many say amen? And when the enemy attacks you, you need to come amongst your saints. You need to come amongst your brethren. You need to get in the house of the Lord and unite your prayer and be there that God can send a word and God can prophesy and send instruction to strengthen you. How many say amen? Because faith comes by what? So you can grab the shield of faith, and then you’ll have what? The sword will be put into operation and manifestation. You’ll have the words to defeat the enemy. When he blinded the Syrians’ army, I like this, he said, hey, who are you looking for? Said Elisha. Said he ain’t here. Said I’ll take it to him. I can see him now. He went out there with Gehazi, his servant, and he made them fall in ranks they couldn’t see. And he said, each one of you, just grab the back. of the sheaf of your sword, and grab them, get in rank, and I’ll lead you. And I can see Elijah now in front of them, and ever see an elephant with their tails and the little ones, they all got their hands together like this, and Elijah’s in front of them, and he’s marching them to Samaria. I believe he might have been singing, I’m on my way to Canaan land. I’m on my way. Can you see it? And then when he got them there, I mean, this proud, proud general and army, he’s leading them like a bunch of, what’s their word, blind children. And when he got up there, what did he do? It says in the 20th verse, and when it came to pass, when they come into Samaria, that Elijah said what he prayed. He said, Lord, open up the eyes of these men that they might see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw, and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. And they thought we were going to get killed. In fact, the king of Israel ran out, said, my father, my father, shall we smite him with the sword? Elisha says, you shall not do it. No, you will not. Said, you wouldn’t kill those that you took captive by the sword, will you? Said, no. Said, you ain’t going to kill the ones I took captive by prayer. We don’t want to kill the sinner. We want to lead them to blind into the house of God. And then when we get in the house of God, we want to pray, God, open up their eyes that they might see. Amen. And then when they can see, they can call upon the name of the Lord. And he sat them down if they could see. And he said, bring food and bring vittles. How many say amen? And strengthen them because I’m going to send them home delivered. We want to deliver people. We want to use the power of God to defeat the angelic angels and break the yoke that has these people. And it’s prayer. Prayer leads them into the house of God. Prayer is the only thing going to deliver them from alcohol. Prayer is the only thing that’s going to deliver them from narcotics. Prayer is the only thing going to deliver them from illicit sex. Prayer is the only thing that will deliver them from sin and transgression. Prayer. Listen, the first one that prayed for all of mankind was Jesus in Gethsemane, waiting to go to Calvary and go to Gotha. He prayed. He said, Lord, Father, I will not let one of these be lost. Judas to fulfill the scriptures. I’ve kept them while I’m in the world. Now I’m leaving the world. Now keep them. And all of them that hear the word by them, you save and keep them. How many say amen? Brother and sister, what prayer will make you is more powerful than the army. Prayer will make you more powerful than the devil and all of his legions with all of his weaponry trying to scare you. trying to scare you and bring fear in your life. Brother, when fear tries to rush in, say, hey, hold it here. Amen. God, I want you to blind the enemy’s eyes. I want you to open up my eyes that I might see your power, your anointing. Yes, Lord, I want your anointing to move mightily in my life. So we need God to open up our eyes and give us illumination. Once your eyes are open, you need to pray for all of God’s children and your brothers and sisters in the Lord. The only thing that delivered us from all of those seven terrible things, the sin, the transgression, the course of the world, the prince of the power of the world, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and wrath, was God’s power. God said he wants to strengthen us with might in the inner man that we might be dynamic, that we can put that armor on. And you put that armor on piece by piece with prayer. And after you’ve got the whole armor on, then you take your stand with that armor and then prayer. You stand there praying always at every situation, at every opportunity for all the saints with all perseverance and alertness that the enemy doesn’t come in. A lot of Christians… are negligent in their prayers. They’re negligent in watching. They’re negligent in being aware, be sober, be vigilant. The scripture said, for your adversary, the enemy, like a roaring lion, goeth to and fro, seeking whom he may valor. But resist him. And the only way we can resist him, that we are vigilant. And prayer keeps us in vigilance. Prayer keeps us alert. Prayer keeps us where God can say, see, see, he’s here. See, he’s here. See, he’s got a trap here. See, he’s got a trap there. Prayer. I tell you, if you pray, you won’t faint. If you pray, you won’t get weak. If you pray, you will not be a coward and run from the battle, but you’ll stand. You’ll stand. You’ll stand like on sentry duty. And a sentry does not fall asleep. Because if a sentry falls asleep during wartime, then he dies for it. The attack on America in these last few months is because people haven’t been alert. They haven’t been at their post. The ones that were supposed to watch over America have been asleep and been playing, as it were, games and didn’t take the sign serious because they didn’t pray. They didn’t have their eyes illuminated. They weren’t in the spirit to see that the enemy was subtle working his plan. But if we’ll pray God, what the enemy says in secret will whisper to us in our prayer chamber. While we’re praying with God, the Lord will say, here is the way, walk ye therein. And you’ll be able to save ourselves out of the trials and the tests. And we were able to pray for our loved ones that are bound by the devil. We need to go out into the power of the spirit with the power of God into the heavenlies and bind the devil. Prayer is what we bind the devil with. Where do you bind the devil at? You bind him in prayer. You get in a prayer closet and you come out against the devil and say, devil, I’m coming against you. I’m going to get your power that’s coming to my loved ones that attack my family. I’m coming against you that’s got all manner of sin and lust and evil habits. I bind your power. And I say, then God, open up my loved one’s eyes like he did the servant, that they might see that there is deliverance. For there’s a lot of people out there that have no hope because there is no hope in the natural. there is no deliverance in the world it’s only deliverance in the gospel of the lord jesus christ and i’m not ashamed of the gospel of christ for it is the power of god and the salvation it is the thing that saves to the jew to the gentile who shall ever will it is the gospel we need to pray and put on the armor we need to pray and sharpen up our gospel sword And then step out on the battlefield and say, come on Goliath, let’s get it on. Because I believe greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. And the spirit in there will help my infirmities and tell me how to pray and what to pray for and what to ask God for. And the spirit of God will activate the sword of the spirit. which is the spoken utterance of God, and we’ll be able to say to Satan, it is written, it is written, it is written, and we’ll be able to say to God, God, blind enemy, open up all of one’s eyes, deliver, captivate them. Set them free. Bring them into salvation. I’ve said this many times, and it is more truer every time I say it. I find that the longer I get saved, the more time I have to spend in prayer. I think it was Moody that said, I have a lot of business today, therefore I will have to at least pray five hours before I try to go into it. You check the life of anybody that’s been victorious, starting with the Lord. If he wasn’t healing, delivering on the way or coming from delivering mankind, he was talking to his Father. He was in communion. He was in contact with his Father. Now, he knew all the Word. He had all the power. What did he have to do? He had to stay in contact that he wouldn’t get negligent, that he wouldn’t get lackadaisical and lazy. When you don’t pray, you don’t pray. get lackadaisical you get lazy in the spirit and that’s what the devil’s for he’s looking he’s looking he’s looking for the opportunities walking around as a roaring line seeing who he may devour and the people that quit praying and if you quit pray you know what happens you don’t stay you don’t come to church no more it all starts in your prayer closet your victory or defeat starts in the prayer closet The arena is prayer closet. And if you go in there with the whole armor on and the soul of the spirit sharpened up, anointed, not just praying your wish list prayer. Bless me, my three. Protect me, us four, and no more. But you watch, and the Lord will show you. How many times has people come to different ones and testified? One of them says, God put you on my heart at such and such a time. He said, oh, that’s when I was in such a fierce battle. And then God moved men, saints. Ought to always to pray. No matter what alarming news comes, you need to drop on your knees. And I think the choir sang it, or Sister Harney sang it, take your burden to the Lord. And another companion song is, let’s have a little talk with Jesus and tell him all about our trouble. Give him a good clap all for me.
