SPEAKER 02 :
We listen in to this encore show today as Darren is confessing that we serve a mighty God who is capable of helping you in any situation that you find yourself. Matthew 21, 22 says, and in all things you ask in prayer, believing you shall receive. Darren gets a call from Alex Arbuckle, who at the time was 11 years old and experiencing panic attacks. Darren prayed for him, and fear no longer had a paralyzing hold on him. If you’re under a lot of pressure and stress, trade a spirit of fear for a spirit of confidence. Darren instructed Alex to say 1 Corinthians 2.16 every day to build up his confidence in God. I have the mind of Christ, therefore I know exactly what to do. Now let’s join the program.
SPEAKER 03 :
We were delighted last night. We had folks drop in on us from Goodlands, Kansas. Leon and Connie Stasser dropped in on us. We always like to see you folks from out of town. And we had friends down. The Millers came down from Cheyenne. We always like to see Bob Marseille. I mean, you folks come from a long ways to attend these meetings, and we really appreciate it. But I believe that last night when you walked out of there, you were blessed. And I know as I was teaching, I always like to watch my crowd. I’m not one of these that watches a teleprompter above your heads and you’re kind of looking all over the place, every place but where you’re supposed to be looking. Now, that’s my opinion. But watching your faces change was such a joy. And watching you folks be able to stand up freely and say, yeah, I want to get rid of that. Yeah, I want God to cut that off. I mean, that kind of thing really, as a teacher, turns me on. I mean, that wires my clock. I don’t know how else to say it. I’m highly impressed. And when I see God at work, so supernaturally in lives, setting people free, I’ll tell you, it says in the Word, who the Son sets free is free indeed. It says that in the book of John. well and out of the innermost part of your being will flow streams of living water some of you’ve been drinking from the wrong cistern for a long time so your talk’s negative you’ve got a bad taste in your mouth and some of you i ask you you know have you ever had a bad taste in your mouth oh yeah occasionally some people say yeah all the time And after a simple prayer, I turn to me and say, you know something? That’s gone. Well, that has to be Jesus. There’s no way I can get inside of your mouth and throat and change your taste. I mean, that has to be the Lord. So one person went away from the meeting last night and I said to him, now, God is going to confirm what he’s done in your life. through the sense of taste. You’re going to start having a sweet taste in your mouth instead of a bad taste or a bitter taste. I’ve seen God do that lots of times. You see, we serve a marvelous God, a marvelous God. And one scripture we went to last night is found in Matthew chapter 21, verse 22. I’m going to get over there in the book of Matthew and I’m going to read it to you. And this is one, in fact, I wrote it down. I want to memorize this thing until I know it as well as I know my name. And it says this, and all things you ask in prayer, believing you shall receive. Well, I have a wild imagination. There are a lot of things that I want to see answers to, answers in prayer. I mean, I just have that desire. I’m driven to do that. So I’m saying to the Lord, I’d rather have this than my necessary food. If it means I’ve got to fast to get this breakthrough, then that’s what I’m going to do. I want to be able to pray for people with such a confidence that all things that I ask in prayer believing, I’m going to receive. I want to have that knowledge and that knowing going in. I don’t want to say, well, let’s try this and see if it works. Let’s play the percentages. You know, let’s do the Las Vegas deal. I don’t want to do that. I want to know in my heart. Now, that’s for me. You know how you walk out your faith is up to you. You know how you work out your salvation. That’s your deal. But here, this is very, very important to me. I want to know going in that all things that I ask for in prayer, believing, I’m going to receive. Now, just excuse me. That’s just the way I am. So I’m pushing the envelope here and saying, all right, Lord, I want this. I want this. So one of the things I’ve found is if I put these scriptures on a card, And if I do what I’m telling you to do all the time, and if I have a scripture that’s not in the power pack, I will do this. I’ll put it on a three-by-five card, and I’ll sit down and I’ll say, now, Lord, I want to commit this to memory. But more than that, I want a revelation on this scripture. Because once I get the revelation, then I can pray all things in prayer, believing, and I’ll receive them. I want that very, very much. Well, we’ve got a young man on the line, I believe, here. Alex, are you with me?
SPEAKER 06 :
Hi.
SPEAKER 03 :
How are you doing?
SPEAKER 07 :
Good.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I haven’t seen you for quite a while. How have you been doing? Good.
SPEAKER 07 :
I’ve been doing great.
SPEAKER 03 :
Have you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 07 :
I haven’t had a panic attack since.
SPEAKER 03 :
You haven’t had a panic attack. How long ago was it that you came to a Tuesday meeting?
SPEAKER 07 :
Like two weeks.
SPEAKER 03 :
Two weeks?
SPEAKER 07 :
I’m planning on coming back soon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, it was longer than two weeks. More like two months. Quite a while, huh?
SPEAKER 07 :
Uh-huh.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, when you talked to me, do you remember what you told me before I prayed for you?
SPEAKER 07 :
That I had panic attacks.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, how does a panic attack work?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, see, sometimes you just, like, you just sort of get scared and you get out of hand and you start feeling dizzy and all this stuff and it just makes it worse and harder to calm down.
SPEAKER 03 :
Uh-huh. Does it affect your breathing?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Uh-huh. Now, how old are you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Eleven.
SPEAKER 03 :
What grade are you in next year?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sixth.
SPEAKER 03 :
Sixth grade, huh?
SPEAKER 07 :
Uh-huh.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, how long have you had these panic attacks?
SPEAKER 07 :
I’ve had them since about first grade.
SPEAKER 03 :
First grade, huh? That’s a long time. Did they mess up your schoolwork?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sometimes. I don’t usually have them at school.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, you don’t have them anymore, is that right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
When did you used to have them?
SPEAKER 07 :
I used to have them when sometimes they would just come and They’re unsuspected in that. You just don’t know when they’re going to come. You just sort of freak out.
SPEAKER 03 :
So they kind of sneak up and jump on you, huh?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, well, tell me something. Did you ever go to a doctor for these?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, psychiatrist.
SPEAKER 03 :
Psychiatrist. What did they tell you?
SPEAKER 07 :
They told me that they, like, put me on medication and I was doing better on that. And they told me to… Take deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth very slowly, as slow as you can.
SPEAKER 03 :
Mm-hmm. Did that help?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. But it didn’t get you over it, huh?
SPEAKER 07 :
Mm-mm.
SPEAKER 03 :
How many times did you go to a psychiatrist?
SPEAKER 07 :
I don’t go to one anymore right now.
SPEAKER 03 :
But in the past, how many times did you go?
SPEAKER 07 :
About once a month.
SPEAKER 03 :
Mm-hmm. You know, they’re called shrinks, right? Yeah. Did you ever know they call a psychiatrist a shrink?
SPEAKER 1 :
No.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, they do. I was just going to ask you if they shrink-wrapped you or something like that, but that probably wouldn’t be a good question, would it? No. Okay. Well, okay. After we prayed for you, do you remember how we prayed for you, Alex?
SPEAKER 07 :
We did it together.
SPEAKER 03 :
Uh-huh. Did we have your mom and dad up there?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So then, do you remember what we prayed?
SPEAKER 07 :
We prayed that I’d get over my panic attacks.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 07 :
That I’d say my verses.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’d say scriptures. Now, do you remember what causes panic attacks?
SPEAKER 07 :
Excitement.
SPEAKER 03 :
How about fear?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, yeah, man. That’s a monster, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, that’s a big one.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, I gave you some scriptures that evening. And you know something? I haven’t seen you since then. You’re the kind of kid I’d like to get to really know. But what scriptures did we give you to say?
SPEAKER 07 :
You gave me scriptures. Hold on. He gave me 2 Timothy 1.7.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
Hebrews 10.35 and 36.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
Matthew 5.8. All right. And Hebrews 4.12.
SPEAKER 03 :
Boy, that’s a mouthful, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, can you remember any of those?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I memorized all of them.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, shoot, man, I want to hear them.
SPEAKER 07 :
Seven times?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, no, let’s just go for once this time.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right. But you’ve been doing them seven times over and over, right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
And how many times a day do you do that?
SPEAKER 07 :
Three.
SPEAKER 03 :
Three times. Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
One in the morning, one time in the night, one time in the morning, one time in the afternoon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, that’s good. Okay. Well, shoot the first one for me. I want to hear it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay. For God to not give us the spirit of to me, but the spirit of power, of loving, of self-discipline.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. Now, what scripture is that?
SPEAKER 07 :
2 Timothy 1.7.
SPEAKER 03 :
2 Timothy 1.7. That’s right. God did not give us a spirit of timidity. That’s good. You used to be timid, didn’t you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. Okay. What’s the next one?
SPEAKER 07 :
So do not throw away your confidence. It will be virtually rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, you got that memorized or are you reading it?
SPEAKER 07 :
I got it memorized.
SPEAKER 03 :
Good, good, good. That’s two. Well, in fact, that’s three, isn’t it? You had 2 Timothy 1-7, as you call it, and you had Hebrews 10-35 and 36. Is that right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, now you got any more?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, shoot.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let’s start appearing heart to be able to see God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. And where’s that one found?
SPEAKER 07 :
Matthew 5-8.
SPEAKER 03 :
Matthew 5-8. Man, that’s a dandy. Okay, go for the last one.
SPEAKER 07 :
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to the divine soul, and spirit joins the marrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, you’ve got all that memorized?
SPEAKER 07 :
Mm-hmm. Except for the verses.
SPEAKER 03 :
You mean all the addresses? You don’t have those quite yet? No. You can get that in time. See, the way to do that is say the address for that scripture right along with it, and then you’ll end up having the numbers. But now, as you go to school, you’re probably going to have this fear thing try to jump on you, probably try to sneak up on you. What are you going to do when that happens, if it happens?
SPEAKER 07 :
Say a couple of my verses.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Which ones are you going to pick out first?
SPEAKER 07 :
Um, for the Word of God is living, well, Hebrews 4.12.
SPEAKER 03 :
There you go.
SPEAKER 07 :
Um, 2 Timothy 1.7.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 07 :
Then I do Matthew 5.8.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, so now if this fear thing comes around and tries to knock on your door again, would you say 2 Timothy 1.7? Um… Uh… That would be a good one. Yeah. Yeah. It says, I’ve not given you a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Now, let me see if I understand this right. In the past, you’ve been going to a psychiatrist about once a month trying to get over this.
SPEAKER 07 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. And they gave you some things to do, but you still didn’t get quite over it.
SPEAKER 07 :
No, not perfectly or exactly over it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Now, since you’ve been doing these scriptures, have you had a panic attack?
SPEAKER 07 :
Nope. Not even feeling like one. Well, I do sometimes, but then I say my verses, I say, oh, I forgot to do them. It’s an hour late, but I’ll say them now and it’s better.
SPEAKER 03 :
And it’s better.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, you want to know why that works?
SPEAKER 07 :
Why?
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, in Hebrews 4.12, and it says, tell me what Hebrews 4.12 says.
SPEAKER 07 :
Where the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it parentates even to divine souls.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, now here’s what happens. Here’s what happens. See, the Word of God is so powerful, Alex, that when you speak it out, then it begins to change your life. And see, the Word of God is stronger than fear and stronger than panic attacks, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
See, now that’s why you’re getting over this thing. See… God’s going to get you totally over this thing. One day you’re going to look back and say, man, I can’t believe. I mean, I just can’t hardly imagine that I used to have panic attacks. You know, some people have a panic attack and they stay in bed all day with their covers over their head. You know, they get really scared. They freak out. Can you imagine that?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you can probably, can’t you? What did you do when you had a panic attack?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, if I was home alone, I’d call my mom and dad and have them come home or I would like try to take deep breaths get some sleep
SPEAKER 03 :
Thing kind of had you going in circles, didn’t it?
SPEAKER 06 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know something? I’ve been telling people how to do this for about, I don’t know, 20 years or something. And, Alex, I’ve got to tell you something. The people that do what you’ve done win. The people that don’t lose. And what I ask you to do is pretty simple, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 1 :
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER 03 :
Doesn’t take too long. Now, do you say these? Do you start out saying, tell me how you, give me an example of how you would say, you know, the Hebrews 1035 thing. Hebrews 1035? Uh-huh.
SPEAKER 07 :
So do not throw away your confidence. It will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now then you go on, you say it six more times, right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. And so you’re doing this morning, noon, or morning, afternoon, and night?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, you know something? That’s a supernatural way to get your head straightened around so that you don’t, you know, think in fear and all that stuff. And I’m really proud of you.
SPEAKER 07 :
Thanks.
SPEAKER 03 :
So when’s your birthday?
SPEAKER 07 :
February 9th.
SPEAKER 03 :
February 9th. Wow. You’re going to be 12. Yes. You know something, Alex? You found a secret here that will save your life, all of your life. And if you pick out scriptures, you know, that will bless you, you’ll just turn out to be really super individual. I mean, you’ll be able to accomplish a lot of things.
SPEAKER 07 :
Thanks.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, you know, when you go to school, can I slip one more scripture in on you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sure.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. I got pencils. I’ll wait for you. Now, folks, we’re talking here to Alex, and he has become a very neat friend. I’ll tell you, I enjoy watching him because he is just growing like, I mean, just wonderfully and growing, and God’s just doing great things. Are you there?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
I got a pen now.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Write this down. 1 Corinthians.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay. Hold on.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. 1 Corinthians 2. You got that much?
SPEAKER 07 :
Um, yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, now what it is, is 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 16. Okay, now at the very end of that verse, it says, we have the mind of Christ. So here’s what, when you go to school, are you a pretty good student?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, here’s something to help you even more. This says we have the mind of Christ. So here’s what you can say. You can say 1 Corinthians 2, 16. I have the mind of Christ. Therefore, I know exactly what to do. And that will kick in for you and will help you with your studies. Can you repeat that back to me? I have the mind of Christ.
SPEAKER 07 :
I have the mind of Christ.
SPEAKER 03 :
Therefore, I know exactly what to do.
SPEAKER 07 :
Therefore, I know exactly what to do.
SPEAKER 03 :
See, now that’s how you use Scripture. And you learn this process and this way of doing things, and I’ll tell you, you’ll zip right through school. But I’m so glad that you listened and you took the Word of God and you defeated those panic attacks. But I think it was about two months ago I prayed for you, but you’re telling me now, you’re telling me straight out you haven’t had one since? Okay, now let me tell you another thing because I think you want to know. You’ve got a curious mind. I remember you in class. You were holding up your hand. You were asking questions. See, what we did is we commanded the spirit of fear. We drove the spirit of fear away from you. And the spirit of fear is what caused the panic attacks. Isn’t that a good deal?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
So now you’re getting out of Hebrews 10.35, you’re getting a spirit of confidence.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
I think that’s fabulous, don’t you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, your parents are sure neat people. I’ve enjoyed meeting you guys. And the first chance you get, come back and see me, will you?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sure. I have the mind of Christ, therefore I… I know exactly… What to do?
SPEAKER 03 :
What to do.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
There you go.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Got that? Can you write that down real quick?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
I have the mind of Christ. Therefore, I know exactly what to do. And you know, when you say that, when you say it out loud, like you’ve been doing the scriptures, see, God will give you strength in your mind and you make your mind, you’ve got a quick mind, but he’ll make, he’ll speed it up.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
That sounds like a deal, huh? Okay. Hey, come with your dad some Tuesday night. I’d like to see you again.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right. You praying for me every day? Okay, well, if you forget, just say, hey, you know, help Darren. He needs it. Help Barbara, too. They need it.
SPEAKER 1 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right, Alex. Hey, thanks for calling in, man.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
God bless. We’ll hook up. Keep doing those scriptures now.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 06 :
Bye.
SPEAKER 03 :
See you. Well, I tell you, I mean, that’s like taking me to the candy store to hear a report like this from this 11-year-old kid. You know, I prayed for him, and he stood there in front of the class, had his parents come up, and we stood around. We commanded his spirit of fear to leave. That was the root cause of the problem. And see, now, we’re not talking about a mental thing here. We’re talking about a spiritual thing. We’re talking about a spirit that’s come in the house to torment this kid. He’s 11 years old. Some of you, you don’t like me to call him a kid. Well, you can call him children. You can call him a child. I won’t call him a kid. This kid, he was really shook up. He was having these panic attacks. And by his own, you know, testimony here, he went to a psychiatrist once a month. You know, I praise God that parents were trying. Folks, I want to tell you, when you get with Jesus and you get the right process and you start putting the scriptures in your heart, whether you’re 11 years old or 91 years old, however old you are, that Word of God, like Alex is learning. See, he was spitting those scriptures out there, Hebrews 4.12, the Word of God is alive and active. See, that’s what turned this kid around. That’s why he’s not a scaredy cat anymore. That’s why he’s not caving in to fear. Okay? And let fear ruin his day. And having to call mom and dad to get home quick. I’m scared. I’m having a panic attack. The word of God will work for you if you put it in your heart. But you’ve got to speak it out of your mouth. Now let me give you the scriptures he used. One was Hebrews 10.35. One of my favorites. Cast not away your confidence for it has a great reward. The scriptures will save your neck. You need the power pack set of scripture cards that we have. They’re five bucks. You know, drop five bucks in the envelope and $50 more for airtime. And seriously, we’ll get the power pack out to you. If you can help us with airtime, we’d sure be blessed. And a lot of you have been, and we thank you, and we just praise God for you. Ann, how are you doing? Hello, Ann.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
How are you doing today?
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m having a little phone trouble. I hope it doesn’t bother us.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, I’ll tell you if it does.
SPEAKER 04 :
Darren and Barbara, I know she isn’t there today, but I do want to thank all the people, the prayer people. that joined us last week for my son Mike.
SPEAKER 06 :
Sure.
SPEAKER 04 :
St. Joe’s Hospital for two months.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
And I want to tell everybody thanks and that he is recovering and doing quite well.
SPEAKER 03 :
Good.
SPEAKER 04 :
And I just can’t Thank them enough.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I tell you, the one you need to really thank is Jesus, first of all, because he’s the healer.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, you bet.
SPEAKER 03 :
And, well, it’s easy to hook up. You know, our listeners are such a wonderful group of people, and they are serious about praying for people. And I’ll tell you how it works, Ann. I’ll pray for somebody on the air, and we don’t get a report back. And thank you so much for calling me back. A lot of people don’t. Then I’ll run into somebody maybe down in Goodland. We’re doing a meeting down there, you know, out in, say, Sterling. And they’ll come up to me and say, hey, whatever happened to so-and-so? I say, I don’t know. They never called me back. So I’m delighted that you gave us a great report.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yes. I’m just so thankful because I pray with everybody every day. And so I just appreciate and I know that they’re doing that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, your son had a very serious ailment.
SPEAKER 04 :
Very.
SPEAKER 03 :
Very serious. Very well could have taken his life. And, you know, sometimes it’s a matter of prayer is what separates us from life and death.
SPEAKER 04 :
Exactly. Exactly.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, good.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, praise and praise. Thank God again and again.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen. Will you thank Jesus?
SPEAKER 04 :
I will.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right. God bless you.
SPEAKER 04 :
God bless.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, dear. Bye-bye. Well, I tell you, things are happening here. I mean, things are happening. We’re seeing people get healed in the meetings that we don’t even pray for. They come up and say, you know, why are you praying for so-and-so? I got healed. Well, praise God. That’s the way it ought to work. Because the Bible says in one portion, it says the power was present to heal. See, the Spirit of God is always there. And when we trust Him in faith, some people say, well, you know, I had a man say to me yesterday, I just don’t believe in this divine healing stuff. I said, well, sorry. You know, I’m sorry you don’t believe that. I do, and it works for me. If it doesn’t work for you, you don’t believe it. Hey, that’s all right. And I said to him, you know, well, can we still be friends? You know, just because you and I don’t agree on theology, can we still be friends? But I’ll tell you something. I am not giving up what I believe about healing because it works for me. I mean, I had a sore back here a couple of days ago and I said, Barb, put your hand up there just below my shoulder blades. You know, in about 30 seconds, I didn’t have any more stiffness or soreness in my back. Now, what’s that worth? And some of you skeptics are saying, how do we know that? We couldn’t see that. How do we know that you’re just making that up? Well, I’ve seen God do things you couldn’t make up. I’ve seen it proven on the x-rays. I’ve seen it proven on the x-rays when creative miracles took place. So if you want to use medical science to prove it, that’s fine with me. But I’ll tell you, I’m going to believe it. Whether you believe it or not, I believe in divine healing. I believe in miracles. Because I’ve been backed into a corner many times, and there was no way out except God had to deliver me supernaturally. And he did that. Let’s talk to Velda from Akron. How are you doing?
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m doing fine.
SPEAKER 03 :
Wonderful.
SPEAKER 05 :
However, I’m calling concerning… My son. And he is an adult, and he is born again, but he’s not walking with God, but he has given his heart to the Lord, and so is his wife. Okay. And they have much strife in the home, and they are being devoured so badly in their finances. I mean, he does work for people, and they refuse to pay him. Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
That can be a curse. I’ll just tell you, it can be a curse.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s derived from, as a result of what?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it could be maybe there’s a curse in the family tree. Have you listened to the broadcast quite a bit, Velda?
SPEAKER 07 :
Off and on.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, that’s not putting anything personal out there. I had curses in my family that I had to break and get rid of. But there can be a curse on a person’s employment or on their ability to keep a job. We talked about that yesterday on the broadcast.
SPEAKER 06 :
I did hear it yesterday.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, curses can be broken. And then your son and daughter need to get really serious about God. They need to be tithers and givers.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, and I go to pray for them, and I’m just overwhelmed. It’s just almost like… Fear, almost fear comes over me, and I’m just absolutely hogtied.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, let me help you with that. Unfortunately, I’ve only got about a minute here, Velda, but I’d like to pray. And then I’m going to send you a suggestion for some materials you ought to get that can bring peace to your life. Because you need peace, don’t you?
SPEAKER 05 :
Concerning them, yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, right. Well, I mean, it’s our kids, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
Boy, it gets right in your heart. Father God, I live to Velda right now and our two adult children. Father God, these kids need to know Jesus. I mean, really know Jesus. And if they’re going to get their finances straightened out, Lord, they got to do it your way. They got to walk with you. And Lord, you won’t break your rules for anybody. And there’s ways of faith. There’s ways of giving. There’s ways of obedience. Father God, if they become disobedient, they’ve been cold in their hearts. Lord, I bless them today with a thirst for salvation, a thirst for righteousness. And, Father, I pray and ask that you would give this mother here on the line the right words to pray in prayer so she can pray with power for her children. In Jesus’ name I pray. And, Lord, I just bless this young couple, Lord. I mean send somebody across their path to get their attention with the message of the kingdom of God and righteousness. And I thank you for doing that. In Jesus’ powerful name, Lord, we’re speaking good over this situation. We bind you, Satan, from destroying this family. Thank you, Lord, for hearing this prayer and answering it. Amen.
SPEAKER 05 :
Thanks.
SPEAKER 03 :
You still there, Velda?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, I am.
SPEAKER 03 :
Sounds like you’ve got more peace in your voice.
SPEAKER 05 :
I found a tape yesterday, and I listened to it this morning, that I haven’t listened to in in excess of 10 years. And it’s the key to God’s well-serve.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
Something to that nature.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And I’m saying, my man. I listened to this before, but I never heard it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Is that from Darren’s coffee shop? Yeah. Yeah. Well, this is the same Darren’s.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, I know it is.
SPEAKER 03 :
Still drinking coffee.
SPEAKER 05 :
Still drinking coffee.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
Still turning out to a gospel.
SPEAKER 03 :
There’s not that much coffee, I’ll tell you, though. Velda, will you hang on? I want to get your address.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, thank you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, dear. And I appreciate your call, and I’ll be praying for your kids since over our car. Okay?
SPEAKER 01 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Hang on.
