SPEAKER 02 :
On this Encore show, Darren and I talk about how creation is groaning for the revealing of the sons of God. He wants to reveal to the whole earth the anointing that he has poured out on the sons and daughters who are alive in Christ Jesus. Darren urges you to establish your authority in the dominion that God has given to you because you are a steward of the mysteries. God is opening up the mysteries in your own life. Darren ends the program with 2 Chronicles 16, 9. For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that he may strongly support those whose heart is completely his. May your heart be completely his so that he may strongly support you. Now let’s join the program.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, every day we talk about fire and rain ministries, and the Lord gave us that name in 1991. And he said, I want you to operate in the power of God, that’s the fire, and to show people the authority that they can have if they execute their dominion on the earth.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And we really need to have more fire, more power, and we need to reign more diligently with the word of God on this earth.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right, because it says in Revelation 1, I believe around the 26th verse, that we are priests and kings on this earth. And you’ve said over and over again in the Psalms, it says the earth is our dominion. God has given that to us. And, of course, we gave it to Satan, and then Jesus took it back, hallelujah, on the cross and by his resurrection. Praise God. We are victorious.
SPEAKER 05 :
If you look in Romans 8, it talks about creation groans for the revealing of the sons. And we need to get up and just take authority over this. I know we were speaking in a farming community this last Sunday and some of them on their prayer requests were saying, pray that there will be no hail. Well, I believe that if you farmers would get together in agreement and establish your dominion over the weather and just say, you know, there’s times when we need rain and there’s times, you know, when we need to stand up and rebuke the hail and rebuke the fierce weather and take dominion over the elements. And you say, well, that’s easy for you to say you’re a city boy. Many times we prayed away hail from our cars and from our house and a garden and whatever. But you have to take authority over that. But first of all, you’ve got to realize that you have that authority.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. I remember being raised on a farm, and those dark clouds were so ominous for us out on the farm. And if I would have known then what I know now, I would have spoken to it like it says in Ezekiel 37. Breathe on those things. Speak to the breath. Yes, come from the window breath and breathe on these things.
SPEAKER 05 :
From the four winds.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, four winds. And instead, we wailed and we cried and we moaned and we groaned. We didn’t use any scripture. We didn’t use any word. And, of course, we got hailed out several times. And I truly believe if we would have had the word, it would have delivered us.
SPEAKER 05 :
If you’d have had some teaching.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, I didn’t have the privilege of meeting your father, but had he had that teaching, I believe he would have stood out there, held up his hand.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
And there’s a scripture for you folks, and I don’t know why that’s strong on me today, but I’m going to give it to you. I’ll just turn back here into the Old Testament. We’ll find it for you, and we’ll read it and give you the reference. But, you know, God doesn’t want us to stand around and have the devourer take from us.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And if I can find the book of Habakkuk here, if somebody didn’t take it out of my Bible here. Here we go. Habakkuk chapter 3. And in verse four, and it’s talking here about Jesus, but it says his radiance is like the sunlight. He has rays flashing from his hand and there is the hiding of his power. And often in the Old Testament, it talks about the strong right arm of the Lord or the hand of the Lord. Well, if we go back to Genesis 1, we realize that we’re made in the image and likeness of God, and there’s power that comes out of our hands. When we lay hands on someone, we transfer that anointing that’s in us and on us for healing, for example, or maybe for the baptism of the Spirit, or what we have in us and on us can be transferred to that person. Well, we can hold up our hand to that weather. you know, that’s bearing down on us and saying, in the name of Jesus, I command you to stop or I command you to part and go around my property. You do not have the right to come over here and dump hail on my crops or on my garden or on my car. And I know that works. I know that works.
SPEAKER 02 :
I’ve seen that work. Some of you are saying, how can you say that? I mean, how can you say that you can stop it? And in James, it talks about Elijah, Darren. He was a man with a nature like ours. It says in James 5, 17, Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. He was prophetic in that message.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right, exactly. Exactly.
SPEAKER 02 :
And then all of a sudden God says, I want you to prophesy rain. And there wasn’t even a cloud in the sky. And he got down on his knees with his head down on the ground between his knees. And he started praying earnestly. And all of a sudden his servant said, there’s a cloud about the size of a man’s fist. And pretty soon it started raining like it did Sunday afternoon on our way back here to Denver. Boy, it was just raining heavily.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, but he’d also stopped the rains from coming down three and a half years before. So he had authority in that dimension. I need to tell you this, folks. We need to take our authority, assume our authority in the spirit as well as in the natural. See, now in the natural, if you open the front door to your house and a strange dog ran in your house, you take the broom and run that dog out. Exactly. You know, probably the most timid housewife wouldn’t unless she was just paranoid of dogs. She’d take her broom and she’d run that dog eyes and get out, get out, get out and slam the door behind him. Well, we need to realize that we have that same authority in the spirit world to take authority over these storms and over these things that come. And the time to start that is not when you see that black cloud bearing down on your property. But it’s now you start exercising that dominion. Now you start making statements. Now, no hail will come to this property. No pestilence here will destroy my crops. And instead, often we depend on the herbicides and the pesticides and that kind of thing. And I, you know, I’ve known farmers that took authority. And I’ll tell you, their life was a lot better than those that didn’t.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And we need not make statements like, well, you just never know when the hail is going to come. Well, folks, come on. We need to get into the word of God and find out who he is so we can know who we are because we’re made after his pattern, his likeness, his image. And that makes life a lot different when we realize we have something to say about this. We don’t have to just stand there and take it.
SPEAKER 02 :
Amen.
SPEAKER 05 :
I like that.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. Last night was so fun. We were praying for people to receive the baptism of Holy Spirit, and that is so exciting. And I would say to those of you who are there and you don’t have your prayer language yet, hey, don’t get discouraged because I know this is a new thing for some of you. It’s a new step of faith. And I’ll tell you, it’s going to be absolutely wonderful once you receive it. And it is not just for some. Darren and I believe that it’s for all. It says that in Acts, that all were filled. And it’s for you and your children and everyone who’s a far off. And we believe that it is for you. And it gives you that power you need. And also, the one who keeps putting the chocolate candies in the offering. Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
Keep it up.
SPEAKER 02 :
Just keep bringing it on. I don’t know. Boy, those were pretty good. Pretty good. Kind of a little treat, but that was sure fun. I love laying hands on people for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I don’t know. Maybe it’s because it took me so long, so long, Darren, to realize what a great gift that was from God.
SPEAKER 05 :
I believe that’s what the New Testament is really about. It’s Pentecost. Pentecost. And it says in the book of Acts, kind of some exciting things. And sometimes, you know, we were raised, I was raised not believing this. And it was kind of hard for us when we got over into 1 Corinthians, over in the book of Acts. But it says, you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you shall be my witnesses both in Denver, Kansas City, Samaria. It says, be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, even to the remotest part of the earth. You know, with this signal, KLT, we get to some very remote parts. We get out there to where there’s not a lot of population, and I’m very happy. I know as we were driving down to Springfield the other day, the signal was so strong. And they tell us that people live down in northern Texas, in Oklahoma, Panhandle, not into Kansas, that the signal comes through. But you know, this Holy Spirit is going to go all over the earth, this power. Now, if I looked at the way I was raised, the church I was raised in, and if I said, well, we have Holy Spirit. After this scripture, you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and so on. I would have to say the Holy Spirit was rather weak because we didn’t have very much power. Now, I’m not trying to be flippant here. I’m not trying to blaspheme. I obviously never do that. But I just say the power we had in our church didn’t make God look very good because we were rather powerless when it came to things that we needed in our lives. That is not what God intended for us. He intended us to be overcomers and to win. And often we were losing in the face of financial disaster and face of disease and family problems and whatever relationship problems. Often we were the losers. And it was like I heard one man say one time, it’s the Lions 12 and the Christians zero. You know, the Lions are winning. They’re eating us up. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. And I believe that’s why Jesus could look through the cross and he knew if he would pay the price and return to heaven, he could send us precious Holy Spirit. And he tells us that in John chapter 16. It’s good that I go away because I’m going to send you a comforter who will always be with you.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. And they were upset and they were discouraged when Jesus said that and said, Oh, Jesus, we don’t want you to go. And yet we find out in Acts after they received Holy Spirit and they were baptized in the upper room at Pentecost. I mean, the miracles that took place. And we see those miracles today. And some of us just slough it off. We see great miracles today, and I believe the people are in a sleepiness. They’re in a stupor. Yes, we were talking about that. And in Ephesians, Darren, it says awake. Ephesians 5 says, It says, Awake, sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. And we see a lot of people, Darren, that are asleep. They’re in a stupor or a sleepiness that won’t allow them to get excited about the things of Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I think that also could be called a slumbering spirit. And I’ve seen people that were… You know, they said, Brother Darren, would you pray for me? And I looked in their eyes and it was like they were asleep on their feet. They were able to still motivate and make a few decisions.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
They weren’t sick, you know, in terms of sickness. They didn’t have infirmity in their body, but they had a spirit, a spirit of stupor, a spirit of sleep and slumber. It was like they were not awake and aware to the things of the spirit. And I believe the devil had deceived them. And sometimes I’ve had to say, well, let’s let’s pray away a spirit of stupor, a spirit of slumber, because you’re just kind of kind of, you know, float along here and things just you’re zoned out, as the kids would say today. And they weren’t on drugs, but they acted like it. It was like they were in Dum Dumville somewhere. And God doesn’t want that. He wants to be alive and alert and listening to him.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right, and that’s why we’re so against medications. We were talking about that last night, the medications and the drugs that we give our children, and they grow up in that kind of a stupor, that kind of a numbness all their life, and it becomes a natural thing to them. That’s so sad that we don’t have all of our faculties, our senses excited about living, about life.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, I talked to a person who’s employed in a local hospital, and this person said, you know, there are like 37 or 38 people in the unit where I work, and I’m the only one that’s not on Prozac because we’re under so much pressure. And I said, are you kidding me? He said, no.
SPEAKER 02 :
Out of 35 people on staff.
SPEAKER 05 :
that’s not on Prozac. And I thought, you know how tragic that we’re under so much stress and the only way we can see to alleviate that stress or to meet the demands of our job in that particular day is to do some drugs.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. It also says in Ephesians 5 and If those of you who listen daily and you just are encouraged and challenged by the word, if you’d like to grow into the word, I’ll tell you, Ephesians is an absolute magnificent book. In Ephesians, it’s not a question. It’s not a maybe. It’s not a well, if it says in Ephesians five, verse 18, be filled with the Holy Spirit. It’s not kind of a question when you’re a believer. It says when you believe in Jesus Christ, that’s not the end of your experience here. That’s the very beginning. You’re on the threshold of some mighty, wonderful things. And it says in the 18th verse, not maybe be filled. And we’ve talked to some people who will say, well, this gift isn’t for me. It’s for some people, but not for me. Or I don’t have that particular gift. Well, this is a command for all believers. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Be filled. And some of you say, well, I’m filled with salvation. No, no, not really. In Acts, it’s, I believe in Acts 8, in the 8th chapter of Acts, if you’ll read that, they were talking about two different experiences. They said, have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed, since you’ve been saved? And they said, no, we haven’t. So they laid hands on to be filled. Now, I agree. At salvation, you need Holy Spirit, and there is a measure of faith you have there from Holy Spirit at salvation. But we’re talking about being filled, overflowing.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, Paul was really a steward of the mysteries. We’re talking about the Apostle Paul. You can call him St. Paul. But reading in Ephesians, back to this book you mentioned a while ago in Ephesians.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yes, so good.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m going to read from chapter 3. It says, For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus, for the sake of you Gentiles… And see, really, the Jews were rejecting the message, so he trotted over to the Gentiles. If indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you, he was a steward of the mysteries here. I love this. In fact, I’ll jump down right now and read 1 Corinthians 4. It says, The prisoner of the Lord entreats you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling which you have been called. And in one portion… He’s talking about, I am a steward of the mysteries under the secret counsel of God. Well, now, going back to Ephesians 3, verse 3, it says that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. Now, some translations say a direct revelation. And portions of Paul’s writings say, what I saw was so wonderful I can’t even reveal that to you. Now, here the Apostle Paul, baptized in the Spirit, a tongue talker, who says, I speak in tongues more than you all. OK, and he wasn’t from Texas when he said that. I think we need to listen to this man who was was a murderer. But when Jesus found him on the road to Damascus, he said, why are you persecuting? Not the church, not the Christians. Why are you persecuting me? You were coming against me. We have to be careful when we come against this baptism of the Holy Spirit. Don’t ever do that. If you don’t understand, and I’ve said this before, just leave it alone. Just back away. Just leave it alone. You might find yourself face to face in a confrontation with the anointed one, Jesus. You don’t want to be on the wrong side of the argument when it comes to that.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
So if you don’t have the revelation of this yet, just lay it down and ask God. Now, if that somehow is for me, it’s just strange stuff. I don’t understand it. Don’t want it. But I’m going to leave it alone. That’s a wise decision.
SPEAKER 02 :
In this 1 Corinthians 4, you were just talking about in the first verse, Paul is talking about himself being a servant of Christ and the steward of the mysteries. But then in the next verse, Darren, it goes on to say and to explain stewards. And he is actually saying, I am a steward, but also you are a steward. Everyone who believes in Jesus is a steward of the mysteries of God. And last night we covered 1 Corinthians 2. What an exciting chapter about having the mind of Christ and that we can ask Holy Spirit to go into the very mind, the depths of our God, the creator of all, and bring out those mysteries for us to understand. They should not be mysteries any longer for the believer.
SPEAKER 05 :
They should be revealed to us by Holy Spirit. And that, by the way, is one of the seven spirits of the Lord listed in Isaiah 11, too, is the spirit of revelation. Yes. You cannot understand fully the depths of God’s word without a spirit of revelation. You can’t get it by reason.
SPEAKER 04 :
Uh-huh.
SPEAKER 05 :
Now, if you stop and think about that, you know, well, that’s really true. You know, sometimes I’ve heard the preacher give a text, and I absolutely could not understand what he or she was talking about when they were giving the message. Because I didn’t have enlightenment. I didn’t have the spirit of revelation operating to tell me what was in that verse of Scripture. Now, you alluded to 1 Corinthians 4.1, and it’s talking about being stewards of the mysteries. But if we go down to verse 7… It says, for who regards us as superior? And what do you have that you did not receive? I like this. But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? In other words, say, don’t be a hot dog. Everything you have, you received. You weren’t born with it. So humble yourself and realize that. And see, some of you today, I’m going to hit it straight on here. Some of you are so proud that you don’t want to admit that you need the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And some of you are so steeped in tradition and theology that you won’t open your eyes to it. I was there. I was blinded by the teaching of my church saying it’s of the devil, it’s not for today, and every other kind of excuse. It is for today.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And Hebrews 13, 8 would tell you that. Jesus is the same today, yesterday, today, and forever, and he’s the one that baptizes you in the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER 02 :
Absolutely. He sure does. We were talking to a brother last night, and he’s probably, of our friends that we know, he is the greatest Bible scholar. He’s always digging into the Word more and more and more. He just loves the study of the Word. And he said, the more I read, the more I learn, the more I don’t know. And he actually admitted that. He said, I realize how absolutely ignorant I am. And he’s been studying the Word for some 15 years. And He’s given us so many reference materials, and I praise God for these kind of people that dig in. But he says the more he reads, the more he knows he doesn’t know. And it’s absolutely true. We are just on the surface, Darren, of great, great, mighty things of God.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, I believe that, Barbara. But I believe that to understand the Word, we have to do it God’s way. Mm-hmm. We really have to do it God’s way. Now, I’m going to rattle off these seven spirits of the Lord that you can find in Isaiah 11 too, but it’s talking about the Holy Spirit, and then there are six other spirits within the Holy Spirit. And they are wisdom, counsel, understanding, revelation knowledge, spirit of might, and fear of the Lord. Well, four of those, or at least three of those, are revelation gifts, actually, that will teach you. Wisdom, counsel, understanding, revelation, knowledge. Four of the seven are there to help us learn.
SPEAKER 02 :
And, you know, these spirits that you’re talking about to help us learn in Isaiah 11 to come up again in First Corinthians 12. It’s like he’s repeating. He’s repeating himself after the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost in the upper room. He’s saying, OK, I told you about these spirits in Isaiah 11. OK, here they are again. I haven’t changed. You know, I’m still the same. And these are for the church. This is for the body of Jesus Christ today.
SPEAKER 05 :
Also in Revelation, if you want an exciting study, study the seven eyes of the Lord.
SPEAKER 02 :
Ah, yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
God has so much. And when the eye of the Lord is upon us, and I quoted last night 2 Corinthians, or 2 Chronicles 16, verse 9. In a portion of that verse, it says, The eyes of the Lord go to and fro about the earth to find a man whose heart is completely his, that he might condemn him? No. That he might chastise him? No. No. but that he might strongly support him.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, isn’t that wonderful? We serve a God who in his loving kindness, he wants the very best for us. He’s always rooting for us. He’s like the cheering section on our team. And he goes before us and scatters our enemies. Oh, Darren, he’s marvelous. He’s a wonderful God.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, I’ve asked the Lord to treat me like he treated Moses. He said to Moses, I’m going to speak the name of the Lord before you. Oh, I love that. And they just had a confrontation. God said, your people are odious and I’m not going with you. I’ll send an angel. And Moses said, wait a minute. We’re not going anyplace if you don’t go with us. As is okay.
SPEAKER 02 :
If your presence goes not with me, I won’t depart from here. Right, right.
SPEAKER 05 :
We’ve got a call here on line one from Joyce. Joyce, how are you?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m doing real good. How are you all? Well, hi.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I’ll tell you how we are. We miss you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. That’s how we are. How are you doing? I’m doing real good. Good. I just wanted to touch base with you all this morning and let you know there are so many wonderful things going on in the spirit and somehow every time the Lord does one of those wonderful things, my mind automatically goes to you all.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, thank you. You’re very kind.
SPEAKER 03 :
I just wanted y’all to know that I just needed to know that you all are behind me and that we’re in unity and one in the Spirit because… You know, the Lord is just doing some great things right now. He is.
SPEAKER 05 :
He is.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, when we think of spirit-filled people, Joyce, we think of you because you are directed by spirit. And it’s wonderful to know that there are people in the body that depend on the Lord to give them the messages. God bless you. Anything happening this last week or so? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
The Lord has me kind of locked in battle with the family against that big bully in the body of Christ, that cancer. Oh. And he’s at the point of getting ready to stop all the meds. And, you know, again, I just felt, yeah, I just need a touch base to make sure that The flow is there in the spirit, in the anointing, and through all the behind me and, you know, dealing with a family that, you know, where they are.
SPEAKER 05 :
I understand.
SPEAKER 03 :
So I just wanted to make sure that the unity was there in the spirit and the anointing was back in.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, before you go, can we just pray for you?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER 05 :
Father God, we lift up Joyce in this challenge that, Lord, you put her there. And we commend that spirit of death to leave this person in that household. And Father God, I ask that you would intensify the anointing there through Joyce and through the laying on of hands and through her prayers. Lord, cause that all of the anointed scriptures to rise that she needs to fight this battle against cancer. And, Lord, we know that we don’t have to stand back and let that devour those we love and those we come in contact with. It is a spirit of death that was defeated at the cross, and yet it comes around masquerading as a roaring lion. So, Lord, we call that thing down. We say that it has to fall. And we ask, Lord Jesus, that that be removed from this person’s spirit, mind, and body. In Jesus’ powerful name, we set ourselves in agreement specifically here with Joyce today.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen.
SPEAKER 05 :
Amen.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen. There ain’t no relenting in the spirit. I saw the thing shrivel up and just fall dead last night. Good. Praise God. So we’re just going to go for it in the Lord.
SPEAKER 05 :
I see the same thing in the spirit.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and he spoke Sunday morning. He’s getting ready to stop the medication. Oh, good. Amen, Lord.
SPEAKER 05 :
God bless you all. Hey, we love you.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right. Love you all, too. Love you, Joyce. Thanks for touching base. Yeah. Bye-bye.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, I tell you, there’s some powerful saints out there that are praying and standing up against those things the devil sends our way.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, that’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
We don’t have to take that.
SPEAKER 02 :
No, we don’t. I just want to say before we get to the closing of the program here, we got a contest. and it’s for you children to send in letters about your dad. And I know all of you had a dad. If you’re living, you had a dad. And we want you to send in just a brief statement of what your dad taught you that developed you into the responsible adult that you are. And some of you say, responsible adult? But what ingredient did your father teach you that really helped you to go into that rite of passage from puberty to adulthood? We’d like to know that. And we’re going to give your father, if you’re chosen, a gift certificate for clothing. And you can go with him or send it to him if he’s across the country. It’ll be wonderful.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re just going to dress up the men no matter what.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, we’re going to dress up Dad. Now that’s your idea. He’s going to be a glad dad. Yes, sirree. And our address here is Darren in Denver, Box 37367, Denver, Colorado, 80237. Just a short thing about what great attribute your dad gave you in growing up.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, I think about my father, and one thing he taught me was, he called it, he didn’t ever use the word perseverance. He used the word stick-to-itiveness. He said, you start something, you don’t stop it.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 05 :
And he also said, now if the ship’s going down, you and the captain are the last ones to get off the boat.
SPEAKER 04 :
Whoa.
SPEAKER 05 :
And sometimes that’s been good counsel. Sometimes I have to tell you I’ve ridden a boat to the bottom of the sea. I should have jumped off, but I was so tenacious I didn’t do that. But my dad taught me tenacity. He said, you don’t just start this and stop. You follow that thing until it’s completed. So I just stick up for my dad there. He gave me that great quality of perseverance, just hanging in there.
