So it’s Bob Duco and I flying the mothership here. Bob is the host of the Bob Duco Show on WMUZ in Detroit, Michigan. And Bob, I don’t know, can we handle this thing or do we just call it off for the week?

I don’t know. It’s going to be brutal without John to carry us, I think. But we’ll manage. We’ll muddle through it. And, you know, that’s okay. Maybe you and me. You know, we don’t have him to break the two of us up, Neil, if we get in a big fight with each other. So we’ll just have to figure it out ourselves.
SPEAKER 03 :
Folks, pray immediately. Just do that. That’s right. Things will turn out okay. There’s so much in the news. We had made comment about this previously, but like that Trump 47, you know, his second term in office, news is breaking like a fire hose. And some of it directly related to his presidency, some of it related to policies of his presidency, and some of it just because the world is moving at a really fast pace. But there’s a lot to cover. Some of the things we probably won’t get to in detail today. As a matter of fact, Bob, The president met with Vladimir Putin to talk, you know, ceasefire kind of stuff. We probably won’t get into great detail here, but what are your thoughts about that?
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, you know, it’s good that they talked for nearly two hours yesterday. And I would argue that this is a huge thing to try to get Ukraine and Russia to agree to a peace deal because, let’s face it, they’re on two very opposite sides. And a challenge with Vladimir Putin is that Putin has a big ego. We know Trump has a big ego too, but Putin does as well. And so for Putin to end the war, It runs the risk of him looking like a loser. He spent four years fighting Ukraine and big, powerful Russia couldn’t even beat Ukraine in four years. And so there is that sense of him wanting to to save face. And I think that Trump realizes that. And for all the people who attack Trump and say, oh, he’s not presidential. He doesn’t know how to be diplomatic. That’s actually not true. Notice the way that Trump is talking about Putin in public with his media posts. He’s not calling him names like Joe Biden or Kamala Harris did. He’s referring to him as President Putin. And we had a very good, cordial conversation. But I can imagine Trump behind the scenes saying to Putin directly, look, if you don’t strike a deal, and this war continues, all that’s going to happen is it’s going to keep on dragging out for you. You’re going to lose another million soldiers. You’re going to keep depleting your economy that much more. You’re going to lose on the world stage as far as perception goes. But worse than that, you know what’s going to happen? You’re going to have Ukraine become part of NATO. And if Ukraine becomes part of NATO, you definitely don’t want that. So play it smart. Let’s keep Ukraine out of NATO. We’ll come up with a way to help you save face so that you still look good to your people. And you know what? Let’s get this thing done. So I can see Trump talking to him kind of directly like that. And so that’s really what it boils down to. I will say this, though, Neil. If there’s anybody… that I would trust playing high stakes 3D level chess with Vladimir Putin, it would be Donald Trump. I’m trying to imagine Joe Biden or Kamala Harris trying to outmaneuver or at least hold their own going 15 rounds in a chess match with Vladimir Putin. So I’m glad that it’s Trump. And I think if anybody can pull it off, it’s going to be art of the deal Trump. So we’ll see.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. And of course, I’ve never debated Donald Trump. None of us have. But I’ve been told and I’ve read numerous times that he’s very crafty in the way that he negotiates. I mean, some people just completely turned off by his style. It’s odd you mentioned he hasn’t come up with any names for Vladimir Putin. Probably one of the few people in the world that he hasn’t called, you know, by some kind of a derogatory name. But but that when he does negotiate, he’s like six, seven chess moves ahead. Yeah. of whoever he’s playing against. And so is Putin, by the way.
SPEAKER 02 :
Agreed, agreed.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s why I’m glad this is Trump trying to negotiate this with him. Remember the 1970s when the guy from the U.S. took on the guy from Russia in chess? It’s almost like that same situation. I can’t remember his name.
SPEAKER 02 :
But it was a huge deal. I think you’re talking about Bobby Fischer. Yeah, yeah. That was in the U.S., and I can’t remember what the Russian’s name was. But I will tell you this. In the 1980s, you had Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, and the Soviet Union was bigger and more powerful and more scary than Russia is now. And they did the same thing. Ronald Reagan actually in the famous walkout in Reykjavik actually got up and walked out of the negotiations and said, well, I’m out of here. And this was a power play to Mikhail Gorbachev. And it was strong. So, you know, you got Trump and Putin both playing power plays with each other. I say Trump knows what he’s doing. Putin knows what he’s doing. Let’s let those these two deal making titans hammer it out.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, obviously the next couple days and weeks are going to reveal a lot about what transpired in that meeting, and I say we talk about it on an upcoming edition of the Roundtable. So one of the big stories, obviously, that has been in the news for a while, but it was front page of every newspaper today, is the return of the Starliner astronauts. Bob, just in a practical sense, before we even get into it, I cannot imagine being cooped up in a little… you know, capsule, whatever the thing is, with another human being in that close of proximity for 10 months when it was supposed to be eight days. Almost 10 months. That’s incredible. And there’s some nuances about this thing and why we didn’t get them back sooner, but just your thoughts hearing the news that they’re home and they’re safe?

Well, very glad that they’re home. And by the way, one of the things that the news media has kind of swept under the rug and not talked about, when the mail – you have a man and a woman that were up there, okay? When the man was asked his thoughts about being stranded up there that long and being back to Earth now – The first thing that he said was, for me, it all comes down to my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. And this is what got him through, which is phenomenal, of course. But no, I mean, my goodness, I hope neither one of them struggle with claustrophobia. Because to think about being stranded up there for over nine months, going on 10 months, when it was supposed to be just an eight- or nine-day trip – to the space station. Apparently the spaceship they were supposed to come back in had some problems, had some leakage issues or whatever, and they determined that it wasn’t really safe to come back. But what I find remarkable is that Trump gets in office and working with Elon Musk, and Elon Musk is like, now that they’ve got the authority to be able to do this, it’s like, let’s go up there and get them ourselves. It’s amazing to me that a private company, Tesla, had to be the ones to rescue them and not NASA. And it does – not to turn this all political here, but it does make you wonder – was Joe Biden sitting on his hands? Were the Democrats going, we don’t really care about them up there because we don’t have the ability to go get them? Elon Musk does, but no, that’ll just give Elon Musk credibility and we don’t need that, especially with his association with Trump. I mean, I don’t know. It seems like if you’ve got two American citizens stranded in space for pushing a year, then you do everything necessary to bring them home. And if that means making a phone call to the enemy, Elon Musk connected to Donald Trump and saying, hey, we can’t do this in the government. Can you do this as a private citizen? You do what you got to do. These are American citizens. And I just… I find it very unfortunate that for several months of the Biden administration, nothing was done to bring them home. Trump gets in office. Elon Musk has some authority now. And it’s like, OK, we’re going to put together a plan, get them home. And it’s done in just a few weeks. So I’m glad they’re home. I just wonder why it had to take this long.
SPEAKER 03 :
Some people were saying, ah, you know, you’re just turning this into a political thing that obviously Joe Biden would have pushed to get him home if he thought it could really happen, whatever. But Hannity asked that question to Elon Musk, I think it was yesterday, directly, just said, hey, look, I don’t want to turn this conversation political. We want to celebrate that these astronauts are home. And Bob, you remember it was like in 1969, you know, when the astronauts returned from the moon and everything. I mean, it was everybody glued to their TVs. So a lot of interest in these people coming home, but he did ask the question, and Elon Musk clearly said there’s no question we could have got him home sooner. Just nobody was really allowing us or pushing the issue or whatever. And the implication then was that the Biden administration was really nervous about Elon Musk and his close association with Donald Trump getting too much good publicity before – Yeah, before the election, which then begs the question, I mean, what if there was some damage done, maybe physically to their bodies? I mean, I think three to six months is about what most people can easily endure. I don’t mean to put that – I don’t know if that’s the right word, but can endure – without too much stress. When you get into nine, 10 months or more, that’s serious problems can be created. And God willing, these folks are going to be fine. But what if they missed the funeral of a friend or loved one? What if they missed a wedding? I mean, who knows what cost there was to them to have to be there? And then not to mention the financial costs. By the way, does Elon Musk turn in the receipt to the federal government? How does that work? Hey, you know what?
SPEAKER 02 :
That is interesting. I don’t know the answer to that. OK, but you know something else? This does I’m seeing something reinforced right now that Trump said during the joint session of Congress address when the Democrats refused to clap or stand for anything. It didn’t matter what it was. Trump looked at them and said, you know something? I could cure a deadly disease and you wouldn’t stand or clap for that. OK. And this is this is absolute. Well, we’re seeing this right now. OK. Elon Musk has been turned into by the left in this country, some kind of evil hate monger. So let’s demonize him and connect him to Trump. And so it’s the demon couple. Elon Musk basically goes up there and rescues two Americans that have been stranded in space and brings them home. And the press, the Democrats, the gals on The View, the late night comedians, none of them. can suck it up and swallow the bitter pill of saying, well, you know, good job, Elon Musk. I mean, we appreciate you coming to the rescue of a couple of Americans. So, you know, it doesn’t mean we agree with Doge, but kudos to Elon Musk. They can’t even force that out of their mouths right now. It’s just like, let’s pretend this story didn’t happen. Who cares? And it’s a new day of demonizing Musk, Doge, and Trump. And so Trump was absolutely right. Nothing that we could do would cause you guys to give us any credit or any applause whatsoever. And I think that’s unfortunate. I really do. Because, you know, Neil, I can tell you right now, if Joe Biden had moved heaven and earth to get them home, OK, I know you would do this and I would absolutely do it, too. I would be telling my audience, you know, I don’t support Joe Biden. I don’t support his policies. But, you know, he did a great job here and kudos to him. Just like I did when Obama ordered the taking out of Osama bin Laden. I was like, I’m not an Obama fan at all. I can’t stand his presidency. But you know what? Good for President Obama. He did the right thing. He made a courageous call. I’m glad he did it, and he deserves kudos for this. I said that to my audience. Why won’t the left ever do this the other way, Neil?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it’s not the same thing exactly, but it’s the same principle as being a gracious loser. It’s going over to the other side and saying, hey, you know, we had a good team. I thought we were going to win, but you all played us today. Congratulations. And when they do something right, you give them kudos for it. It’s that simple. Right. It’s the proper thing to do as a human being, and why nothing can ever be acknowledged or congratulated appropriately is hard to believe. And I pray, honestly, that that’s the same the other way around, that at some point, if the Democrats have a president in the White House and they control Congress, that especially Christians would act in a godly fashion no matter what’s going on on the other side, knowing full well who really calls the shots, and it’s our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By the way, if I’m not mistaken, a rocket to get into space, I heard Musk say this part, that it takes 1.7 million pounds of thrust to get it into outer space. And then I think it travels at 17,000 miles per hour. which is unbelievable. 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit when it’s reentering the Earth, and if a heat shield malfunctions in any way, the capsule and the people inside will be incinerated instantly. I mean, just unbelievable what kind of risk is involved. And, Bob, I’m not a huge fan of flying. I do it all the time. But, you know, I’m not a huge fan. But can you imagine reentering the atmosphere at 17,000 miles an hour with 3,500 degrees heat and just hoping everything goes okay, like that it all goes well?
SPEAKER 02 :
You know what? Well, first of all, a couple things come to mind. Number one, I wonder what kind of carbon footprint this leaves. And is it going to be very long until we hear some leftists complaining about the – damage to global warming or whatever, who knows. But no, if you remember the space shuttle Columbia, That happened when it entered the atmosphere, it disintegrated. It burned up and disintegrated because the heat shield, part of the heat shield failed and that’s when all, I believe it was seven of the astronauts on the Columbia Space Shuttle, they died. They all died because the thing just kind of crumbled and disintegrated into a bunch of individual pieces falling to the ground and that included seven bodies. So, yeah, it is just an incredibly dangerous – I mean, let’s face it. You’re strapping yourself to a rocket that is exploding with massive force. And so it’s a courageous thing to do. Neil, I’ll be honest with you. I would do it in a heartbeat. I would love to, and I know I’d be taking a risk. I would love that. I would love to go up in a rocket, experience the Gs of going up with that speed, and then coming in and, yes, I realize there’s a risk of dying, but I think it would be a thrill. I would enjoy doing that, and I’d be telling myself, hey, look, the worst thing that happens – you know what? My kids are all raised now, okay? And so it’s like, if I go to be with the Lord, hey, that’s great. I’d probably want to have my wife with me. So that way, if we go to be with the Lord, then okay, fine. If not, well, you know. He’d go together. Then what a memory. Unbelievable. Wow.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, they’re home safe. You know, Elon Musk, his next venture is he wants to put human beings on Mars and literally create a city on Mars. He says, for the benefit of people on Earth, how that works, I don’t know. We’ll talk about it some other time. But as long as we’re talking about Elon Musk, let’s talk for a minute about the Tesla situation. I mean, people literally committing what some are referring to as domestic acts of terrorism, lighting Teslas on fire. Bullets had been fired. Charging stations vandalized. A Tesla service center was set on fire by an arsonist. Threats of assassination on Musk. Why? Because he’s working with Donald Trump as, you know, helping to oversee Doge, the Department of Defense. government efficiency. What do you make of this? I mean, this is unbelievable, Bob, that we’re seeing this kind of thing from people that say they love peace. And by the way, probably wanted everyone to buy Teslas to keep the earth safe and energy efficient at one point. Now they’re burning them.
SPEAKER 02 :
I know. It’s the hate and intolerance of the left. It is. You’re right. Teslas were great until Elon Musk sided with Donald Trump, and then suddenly Teslas became evil. You know, I remember during the four years of Joe Biden… There’s all kinds of stuff that conservatives disagreed with. Look, none of us agreed – well, most of us didn’t agree with exploding the size of the government to convert all of the USPS postal trucks to EVs, electric vehicles, and even the EV mandates and trying to ban gas stoves and stuff like that. But you know what? I don’t remember – I don’t remember department stores saying, oh, people are coming in here and keying the stoves and drawing swastikas on them, and people aren’t setting electric vehicles on fire across the country. Conservatives weren’t behaving that way. We were saying, you know what, we’re going to wait our turn when we get to the ballot box. So conservatives, by and large, I’m not saying there’s no bad conservatives. I’m not saying every liberal’s bad either. But what I’m saying is, for the most part, conservatives tend to say, we will show tolerance. We disagree, but we will show tolerance. and peacefully resist the stuff that we disagree with. Whereas on the political left, it’s like, no, we’re not going to show tolerance. We’re going to be intolerant. We’re going to engage in violence. If there’s a conservative speaker coming to college campus, you’re going to have to bring in police and SWAT gear and escort the police escort the conservative speaker through the back door for their own safety. So why is it that conservatives speaking in college campuses are in danger and need police escorts, but liberals speaking in college campuses… Never need that. There’s plenty of conservatives still on college campuses, but liberal speakers are always safe. They don’t need police escorts. You don’t need ambulances on the by. But you do with conservative speakers. There is a serious tolerance problem on the left, frankly, Neil.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, you know, just speaking as a human being here, like trying to be an impartial observer, you know, when he pulled the chainsaw out, and it was a fake chainsaw, you know, what was it, six feet long or something? It was crazy. Because, you know, here he is heading up Doge, and they’re cutting hundreds of millions and billions of dollars out of the federal budget and trying to trim back the deficit, et cetera. I think maybe that was pushing it a little bit much and could have provoked anger. I don’t. Well, I don’t at all.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s a metaphor.
SPEAKER 03 :
We’re going to slash spending. I get it. And we’re celebrating. But for the people that think this is a bad idea, that’s sort of like, you know, you’re up 17 to nothing in a baseball game and you got a guy that steals second and the next guy up hits a home run rather than batting left handed or something like that. I mean, there’s a sense that, hey, we got you down and we’re just going to Party in your face, man. And I can believe that some people were offended by that. I wasn’t. I was kind of celebrating when I saw it, but then on further review thought, maybe that’s going overboard, celebrating the win when other people are lamenting the loss.
SPEAKER 02 :
I don’t. Honestly, Neil, I don’t because it’s not a win. The game is not over. We’re only in the beginning of the game. You’re up 17-0 and it’s in the eighth inning. This is in the first inning. And in the first inning, it’s here’s what we’re going to do. And so it’s like, yeah, we’re slashing spending. That’s a good thing. We’re taking a chainsaw to government spending and waste. And so I see this as a good thing. No matter what, I’m telling you, no matter what Trump or Musk or anybody in this administration does, the left will find some way to create something controversial about it. So it’s like conservatives are never allowed to use metaphors, but liberals do it all the time. Democrats for years, Neil, have talked about placing congressional districts of Republican control in the crosshairs and putting up bullseye maps. But as soon as Sarah Palin did it, it became a controversy. So it’s like, no, I’m just not buying it.
SPEAKER 03 :

And believe me, you need to understand, I was celebrating at that point as well. I think, let’s get rid of the fraud, let’s get rid of the waste, period. But I also move a little more cautiously in not wanting to provoke others to anger. That act may have been part of what got people jacked up, may not have been.
SPEAKER 02 :
Everything provokes them to anger. Everything does.
SPEAKER 03 :
Including this podcast, Bob. Probably. Okay, but so I think it was Hannity asked Musk, he asked Elon Musk, so why all the hatred? Why do people hate you so much? And he said, it’s not an exact quote, it’s more like a paraphrase, but he said, you know, extreme hatred and violence are happening because we’re succeeding at getting rid of corruption and waste and people. that have benefited from that corruption and benefited as a result of that waste are really angry. That’s what it is. Bob, I don’t disagree with that for a minute. They’re succeeding. They’re getting the job done.
SPEAKER 02 :
I’ll tell you something. There are certain groups of people, and I’m not saying there’s no conservatives that are like this. There are. But I got to say, my observation is it’s overwhelmingly liberals when they are proven wrong about something. Or when a conservative is proven right or succeeds at something, is successful, the left gets angry. And I’ll tell you what, this is really obscure, so bear with me here, okay? But Neil, have you ever seen the show Everybody Loves Raymond? Remember that show? Actually, we just started watching it. We’re in season one, and I’ve come to love the show. But go ahead. I love the show. My wife and I have watched it. We’ve seen every episode. It’s like, okay, fine. Well, one of the characters, Marie, she’s the mom, the matriarch of the family, okay? What she’s known for is her cooking. She’s the best cook in the world, okay? That’s her. Well, and Deborah, who’s Ray’s wife, is known for being a lousy cook, right? Well, anyway, Deborah, there’s an episode called Deborah Made Something Good. And she made some brajol, and it was actually really good. And so Ray and Robert and Frank, they’re like, what? wow, this is great. This is so good, you know? And so Marie, she comes in there. She goes, wait a minute. Deborah made something good? I don’t think so. No way. You can’t. And they’re like, here, taste. She goes, give me that fork. Let me taste that. So she tastes it. And while she tastes it, she’s sitting there staring. She just, rather than going, wow, that is good, which she does, and it was a big laugh, she takes her fork, throws it down on the table, and marches out of the room, okay? You know, and the audience laughs or whatever. But you know what? even though that’s a sitcom joke, in real life, that’s what happens with a lot of the progressive left today. They so badly want their feelings to be validated that if they’re proven wrong about something, rather than going, well, wait a minute here, that is a good point. They did win this. This is successful. No, they just get mad. If you say the square root of 144 is 12, And they go, no, it’s not. Yes, it is. No, it’s not. Yes, it is. If you pull out a calculator and show them, here, you can look and see for yourself. And it’s like, in essence, I was right and you were wrong. Your average liberal just takes the calculator and throws it against the wall and marches out of the room. It makes them angry. And I think that’s what’s, yes, I think that’s what’s going on. They’re looking at Elon Musk. They’re looking at the Trump administration. They’re seeing the success that they’re having. They’re being proven right on the right. And the left responds by having an angry fit. And so I think that feeds a lot of the hatred for Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Doge, and all the rest of them. And that’s my personal opinion.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think you’re probably right on that. I don’t know what else to say. I think you’re right. But I’m also looking at that situation and thinking, you know, about how that applies to like public policy, because they’ve pushed a lot of bizarre agendas, especially during the Biden administration. But going back, you know, decades throughout history. You know, the last 20, 30 years, liberals and progressives have pushed a whole lot of stuff that doesn’t make a lot of sense. But they’ve been in power, and they’ve been able to scream loud enough about these things to make everybody believe that this is what we need. You know, critical race theory and all this other stuff in schools. Our kids can’t do reading, writing, or arithmetic. They’re falling behind the rest of the world. We’re pumping billions of dollars into the Department of Education but failing in the public schools. And it doesn’t make sense. So now you’ve got this common sense revolution where real people are pulling out their calculators and proving them wrong, not necessarily on math problems, but on the way they govern, on the agendas that they push. And it’s causing outrage. And I just it’s like, but wait a minute. We had you convinced that we knew how to run your lives better than you. And now you don’t believe us. And I think that they’re unraveling. I think you’re watching people unravel on live television right now. And it’s not pretty.
SPEAKER 02 :
No, it’s really not. And this is where – look, if some Democrat proposes something, whatever it is, and it turns out that that’s actually successful and that that’s working, my attitude, my response – and, Neil, I’m sure this would be yours and I’m sure it would be John’s, OK – would be that – you know something? That’s been proven successful. I think that Republicans now need to switch and start doing it that way because we care about results and we care about doing it right. We don’t just care about getting our way and having our emotions reaffirmed. But the problem is when the Democrats put out their policies, whether it’s in foreign policy, whether it’s in the border, whether it’s in the economy, taxes, whatever, we can see it doesn’t work. All right. We can see what happens to inflation when you spend like crazy as Joe Biden did. And we can see what happens to inflation when you get energy independent like Donald Trump did. And so I just I think this has to be about let’s be intellectually honest about what works and what doesn’t work. I’m telling you right now. If it wasn’t for Donald Trump and Elon Musk, if instead it was Joe Biden and he enlisted the help of George Soros to cut government waste and fraud, everybody on the left would be celebrating that. So this is only because it’s Trump and people in Trump’s orbit. Whatever he does is wrong. If he cured cancer, the focus would be, look at all the oncologists he put out of work. That’s just how they think on the left. I hate to say it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think one of the hallmarks of progressivism is telling people that you need to believe what we’re telling you because we’re smarter than you. And whether they do that subtly or in your face. Very elitist. Right. That we’re going to tell you what’s right and you don’t have any reason to fact check us or believe otherwise because we’re more special than you. We’re more educated than you. You shouldn’t be listening to anyone else except us. And we’re going to tell you that you’re going to need a vaccine and forced mandates and all other stuff. The same is true, by the way, with what’s going on inside the womb, Bob. And the liberals don’t want young women who are pregnant out of wedlock to see the baby they’re carrying. They don’t want them to see that that young woman’s already a mom, that her baby has a heartbeat and is forming inside of her, that that’s a human being. But pre-born helps to turn the tables on that and present truth to a young mom who wants to know and should know what’s actually happening inside her own body.
SPEAKER 02 :
I know. I mean, look, you get a woman who’s got a pregnancy that she didn’t anticipate or whatever, and she’s grappling with what to do. And it’s like, okay, well, there’s a pro-life center on one side of the street, and there’s a Planned Parenthood on the other side of the street. And she’s torn. What does she do? When she goes into the pro-life center… They are going to try, if possible, to show her an ultrasound image of her baby. And statistically, when women see an ultrasound image of their baby, they very rarely go across the street to Planned Parenthood and kill that baby. They usually let the baby live, and they usually accept Jesus Christ as Savior, too. That’s a very common thing in these pro-life centers. Well, guess what? Bob, when you were talking about pre-worn and about the… the ultrasound I just wanted to circle back to that for one second because it has to do with what we were talking about previously and the idea that the left doesn’t want you to know the truth they don’t want you to have access to truth why is that because they’re trying to tell a young woman hey you’re not qualified to be a mom and if you if you have a baby right now instead of abort this child then you know there’s going to be a problem with your life you’ll never amount to To anything. You’re not going to be able to have success in life. They’re lying through their teeth. And I just was thinking back over the… I don’t know, the 25 plus years that I’ve been doing talk radio related to things like abortion. And I don’t recall, I’ve interviewed hundreds, Bob, hundreds of women, as you have, I’m sure, who tell their stories. Never met one who decided to keep their child who regretted that decision, who said, you know, I’ve got a seven-year-old little boy, but I sure wish I would have aborted him. Why is that? Because the truth changed their mind. And, you know, that’s really what we’re talking about here when we start talking about facts and truth and exposure to truth. And thank God that our government right now is pulling the lid off of the swamp and helping us to see what’s going on behind the scenes. One of the things, and Elon Musk has kind of been the superstar of today’s conversation on the roundtable, but his involvement with Doge is obviously making waves. We said in the first half how many people are really angry with him. He said, quote, we don’t have a country unless we fix it now. He was referring to the $2 trillion of annual debt. The interest payments, by the way, exceed our entire military budget. So what we’ve got now is federal judges, Bob, pushing back on the work that Doge is doing. And, of course, one of the first things they did was they went after that huge – over-inflated organization called USAID that had so much fraud, so much waste. And Judge Theodore Chang, if I’m saying that right, in Maryland, directed his team to say, look, you’re not allowed to do this anymore. I’m halting whatever you’ve done in the meantime. And also took aim really at Elon Musk himself, saying, you need to stop what you’re doing and reverse this whole thing. And, you know, in some cases, trying to order people back to work and whatever. There’s multiple cases now with federal judges pushing back on the Trump administration, particularly in the area of what Musk is doing through Doge. And I wanted to give you an opportunity to comment on that.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know what? It makes my eye twitch because it’s – these are liberal leftist activist judges that are using the power and the authority of their robe to interfere in the administration of policies, basically interfering in the results of the election. A bunch of liberal judges are like, we don’t like – that we lost. We don’t like that a conservative won the presidency, and so I’m just going to use the power of my robes to try to throw a monkey wrench in his agenda. But you know what almost all of them have in common? These are Democrat-appointed judges. Not every once in a while you’ll find a Republican-appointed judge. It was very rare. The USA that you talk about, this judge, this was an Obama-appointed judge. You have another district judge, Anna Rees. who just ruled that Donald Trump is not allowed to ban transgenders from the military. He’s commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, okay? Of course he’s allowed to do it. Did you see some Republican conservative appointed judge tell Joe Biden he was not allowed to allow transgenders in the military? I mean, this is absolutely ridiculous. By the way, this judge, this Biden-appointed judge, This is what, unfortunately, a lot of leftists do when they get power. Look at these district attorneys and attorneys general that are doing this. The attempts to throw Donald Trump in prison, people like Alvin Bragg, Manhattan district attorney, people like Letitia James, the attorney general of New York. Hey, let me use my power to get Trump somehow. I’ll try to take his Trump Tower from him and try to bankrupt him by claiming that he committed fraud against Deutsche Bank by over-assessing the value of his properties he put up for collateral. Deutsche Bank testified on behalf of Donald Trump saying, no, he didn’t. We agreed with his assessments. We loaned him the money gladly. He paid it back. We got our interest. Everybody’s happy. What’s the problem here? Nope. They’re using the power of Fannie Willis in Georgia. They use the power of the authority that they have to say, I’m just going to do everything I can to go after my political opponents. This is what the left does. Joe Biden used the United States government and the Department of Justice as a weapon against his political opponents. And these judges are using their robes as a weapon against Donald Trump and conservative and Republican agendas. And I just think it’s disgusting. You can’t tell a president… that he can’t decide whether he wants to end funding for USAID and absorb it into the Secretary of State Department, as he has done, or that the Commander in Chief can’t decide what transgender policy is in the U.S. Armed Forces. This is ridiculous. They can’t stand Donald Trump’s agenda. They can’t stand him. They’re angry that they lost. And so they’re just going to say everything Donald Trump did is, quote, unconstitutional. So it’s unfortunate. It’s judicial tyranny, frankly.
SPEAKER 03 :
Just a question. Do you think he should submit Musk’s name as an official appointee and get Senate approval to do what he’s doing at Doge?
SPEAKER 02 :
No, I don’t know why. I don’t know why it would be necessary because Elon Musk has no power and authority other than that of advisor. OK, he advises Trump and then Trump is the one who makes the decisions. Every single time you get something cut, Elon Musk has. It’s Donald Trump that’s actually cutting things. It’s Elon Musk that’s given him the recommendations for this. And so I don’t see what the problem is here. Elon Musk is not functioning as the employer. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some authority. Yeah, he’s got the authority to say, hey, I need to know that you’re actually working. So once a week, send me a report on what you accomplished last week. I don’t have a problem with stuff. You don’t need Senate approval for things like that. Trump is the one doing the cutting. He’s just taking the recommendations of Elon Musk.
SPEAKER 03 :
I just wonder if the liberals would absolutely unravel and lose their minds if he was appointed. Because I think based on his track record, why would Republicans not push that name through? I mean, I think the left would go crazy to try to stop it. And maybe it’s not needed. Maybe it’s not necessary to get that. But can you imagine if he actually became an employee?
SPEAKER 02 :
Okay, Neil, that would give more power to Elon Musk. And right now we’re hearing from the left how he’s already got too much power. Look at the power. He’s running the government. Okay. Okay, well, so you want him to have Senate approval then?
SPEAKER 03 :
What I’m getting at is that their only argument is, well, he’s not been approved by the Senate. Okay, well, then approve him by the Senate. And then what are you going to say about it, right? I mean, what would be the next thing? By the way, if he applied for a job with the federal government, can you imagine on the application, like, how much are you hoping to earn per hour? He’s the richest man in the world. That’s incredible.
SPEAKER 02 :
He is doing this for free. I know. I know. It’s hilarious. And so is Trump. You do realize. Here’s something, Neil, the press won’t talk about. Donald Trump and Elon Musk, yes, they’re a couple of rich people, but you know something? They’re working for free. Donald Trump is not taking a paycheck as president, and Elon Musk isn’t taking a paycheck for all this work that he’s doing, okay, diverting away from his companies, Tesla, SpaceX, X, you know, Twitter and such. He’s devoting, he’s basically volunteering his time to help rid the government of waste and fraud and try to save a trillion dollars of wasteful spending. I appreciate him volunteering his time and I appreciate Trump volunteering his time and not taking a paycheck to be president of the United States. Seems like that ought to be acknowledged.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. Well, we’re going to go into high speed mode for a second. We’ve got just a couple of minutes. I just want to throw this out here. I think a lot of Americans who’ve at some point or another watched a documentary about the JFK assassination think in the back of their mind that there’s more to it than we really know. Now, all of these files are going to be released, mostly unredacted. I think that’s what Trump has asked for. Please don’t redact all the names and let’s get the real deal. What happened? Do you expect there’s going to be any kind of a smoking gun, Bob? What’s your sense on that?
SPEAKER 02 :
I’m going to guess no. I think that this is probably going to be one big fizzling nothing burger. There might be something. I think the press is going to be looking for, not for political reasons, but just I think people are going to be digging through these 80,000 pages looking for something that can be sensationalized. And there’ll probably be some things that will be expanded into some sensationalized something. But I’d be very shocked. If it’s like, yep, it’s now been uncovered that here was who was really behind it. And it was deep state within the United States. It was the CIA coordinating with, you know, the Russians to take him out or the Cubans. I mean, I just I’d be very surprised or Eisenhower was really behind this. And so, no, I don’t expect some kind of major smoking gun. And my best guess is that Trump probably. probably talked with the people who do know what’s in those 80,000 pages and said, look, are we going to have a nationwide crisis with anything in there? Because I’m not sure if it was something like, you know, let’s pretend a crazy thing. Eisenhower was behind this and coordinated with Cuba to assassinate – Let’s pretend that were the case. I’m not sure that Trump would release that. I think it’d be like, oh, we cannot have craziness in this country. It’ll be absolutely insane. What a worldwide embarrassment. So my best guess is no, there’s no smoking guns. I’d be shocked if there were.
SPEAKER 03 :
My guess, real quick, is that it’s going to actually raise more questions than provide answers because there may be other things in there that haven’t been investigated and that we’re going to see a whole new wave of conspiracy theories and documentaries and whatever.
SPEAKER 02 :
I will say this, Neil. I am concerned about the Martin Luther King files with them being released because we do know that Martin Luther King, he had his own personal demons that he dealt with, and there’s been the rumors of the womanizing and such. And so I don’t know what – dirt the FBI may have on MLK that would smear his legacy. And so I don’t know about that. I’m hoping that there’s nothing more severe than what we already know. But with the JFK thing, I’d be surprised if there’s some smoking gun. I really would.

All right, so we’ve got like maybe 60 seconds left. I’m just going to throw it out there because I want this on the record. I’m curious, what do you think happens in the midterms? Do we keep the House and Senate, lose the House, lose the Senate, or lose them both? Any thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 02 :
I just don’t know. I honestly really genuinely don’t. What I will say is that usually, traditionally, the party that wins the White House loses – has losses in the House and Senate in the next midterm two years later. So if statistics follow properly, then the Democrats should – gained some seats in the House and in the Senate. And since the Republicans only have a narrow, razor-thin four-seat lead in the House, and they only have a three-seat lead in the Senate, There is a good chance. If I were a betting person, I would probably bet money that Democrats take back the House and maybe the Senate, maybe not. I don’t know. I hope I’m wrong. Oh, I do, too. But that’s usually how it comes down.
SPEAKER 03 :
I think if it was one or the other, I think it would be the House, obviously, because it’s such a slim number out of 435 seats. Statistically, I think the odds are greater that they would take back the house. I pray they don’t, and I’m kind of predicting that they’re going to because if I’m wrong, then we keep the house, and that’s good news. I’d rather find out good news than bad news.
