SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Faith and Authority. What is great faith? So join me in our live service for the continuation of this message. Faith and Authority. What is great faith? I understand that authority. That’s the way I work. And so he said to Jesus, you don’t have to come under my roof. Say the word only. Another translation has the word only in there. Say the word only and my servant will be healed. Why? Because I’ve watched you long enough. I’ve seen everything you say happens. And that’s just authority. That’s what I’m used to. And he said, I have soldiers under me. This one I say go and he goes. That one come and he comes. I say to my servant, do this and he does it. You’re using the same authority I use. You just say the word. I know it’ll be done. And Jesus was amazed, astonished. I mean, do you want to astonish Jesus? I would like to astonish him. I would like Jesus to say, wow, I’ve not seen such great faith, Sherry. I want to astonish him. This man did. And he turned around and looked at everybody. I have not seen anybody with such great faith. Because he believed simply in the authority. He believed in authority. And I believe that is one of the keys. Believe is another word for faith. Faith in authority. Faith in authority. Faith in authority. And so we have to learn to have faith in different things that carry authority. Number one, God’s word. There are so many Christians. We’ve talked about this before, about faith. And you get a doctor’s report or you get a negative report or you have a bad financial situation. We’ve all been there and we’ve all been in the same situation in different ways. we don’t always respond immediately the way we should, but we are learning. But if you get a negative report, if you get a doctor’s report, a financial bad report, or you just see your bank account is down to almost nothing or, or something else. And then you look at God’s word and God’s word says in first Peter two 24, for example, by his stripes, you were healed. Now the doctor says, you’ve got this sickness or this disease or this problem. Now, this condition or whatever it is, then the Bible says by his stripes, you were healed. Or the Bible says in Psalm 23, four, my cup overflows, my cup overflows. And those who fear him lack nothing. Psalm 34, nine and 10. So we lack nothing. So the finances, the Bible says I’m overflowing. So we are all at a point. This is faith. Faith. Natural faith, remember the two kinds of faith, natural faith looks at what you can see and feel in physical circumstances and you believe what you see and feel based on the circumstances. The problem is that kind of faith, believing what you see is always a victim because it has no power to change anything. You are believing because you see. And so whatever you see, that’s the way it is. That kind of believing is always a victim. has no power to change anything. Do you know that’s the same way the animals are? The animals have no power to change anything. They’re just victims of whatever comes by. But the person who understands the God kind of faith… is not like the animals. Now, the Bible says in Psalms or the scripture says the wicked are like the animals. Well, you could say the unbelieving people are not having God’s kind of faith are like the animals because they’re going to be a victim to their circumstances every day. Whatever happens, however the wind blows that day, that’s what they’re going to have. That’s what they get. They have no power to change it. They get what comes with the weather. Or, I mean, I say that applying to any kind of situation in life. So the wicked are like the animals having no power to change anything. But the God kind of faith is faith that believes before you see it because it is creative. You actually create what you’re believing and then you will see it. Because it is creative power. The God kind of faith… is creative power. Now it is always and must always be based on God’s word. You don’t just make up something in your own mind. although even that can have a lot of effect. Some people say, I’m going to do this and they get their heart and mind on it until they do it. Say, I’m not going to let anything stop me. I’m going to do it. I’m going to go there. Well, that even in the natural has a lot of power, but what we’re talking about is basing on God’s word because God’s word is eternal and it’s full of promises. It’s the financial, the physical health situation promises, promises for every area of life are in here and God’s word is eternal. And so when we base our faith on what God said, and we say, I believe that I’m healed, then that faith goes to work, creating that faith goes to work, creating and building what you’re believing. And don’t try to look for it with your eyes. Keep the vision in your heart. I see myself healed. I see myself doing this or that or whatever it is you’re believing. Because you keep believing it. It’s building it until it will come outward and visible. It will come. It will come. It will come. It will become visible. It will become visible, physical material. But it’s going to work and it’s creating and it’s creating and it’s creating. As long as you keep believing this, believing God’s word, believing whatever scripture promise that God has given you for your situation. You keep believing it. You keep believing. You keep saying it. And by his stripes, I’m healed by his stripes. I’m healed by his stripes. I’m healed. I’m healed. I’m healed. Thank you, Lord. And then giving thanks because that’s the standing firm. Thank you, Lord. I’m healed. Thank you, Lord. I’m healed. And while you were doing that, it’s in the invisible realm, but it’s creating and it’s creating and it’s creating and it’s creating and it’s creating until one day it’s going to be visible. And so the God kind of faith is believing what God said is the truth before you see it. And when you believe it and keep believing and keep believing and saying, believing and saying, believing and saying, believing and saying, thank you, Lord, I’m healed. Thank you, Lord. I have this. I receive this, whatever it is. then it is creating it and creating it and creating it and creating it. Depending on what it is, it could take days. It could take weeks. It could take months. Some things even take years, depending on how big they are or what has to be accomplished to make them happen. But they are happening. And that is where all of us are tempted to look at the natural. And why is it working? Don’t say that. You have to slap your hand over your mouth. And stop yourself when you think, why isn’t it working? Because it is. It’s working in the unseen, invisible realm. It is working. It is working. That’s why we have to have faith and believe God’s word. It is working because his word does not return void. Jeremiah 112. God says, I watch over my word to perform it. And then Isaiah 55, 9 and 10, God’s word will not return void. And so we keep saying and believing God’s word and believing it and believing it. And so the word has to be watered in our hearts by continually meditating on the word. And that means going back every day to the word of God and reading it again and meditating it and meditating. I like to say it’s like chewing on something in your mind and you go over it and over it. And, you know, that’s what worry is. And I think, well, I don’t know how to meditate on the word. You do. You know how to worry, right? And that’s take a problem and go over it and over it and over it. Well, that’s meditating on a problem. But instead you turn that problem, what you’re focusing your thoughts on to a scripture promise. And you meditate on that and you go over it and over it and over it and over it. Just like you would worrying over a problem. You take the word and meditate on it and think on it. And that means you just have to sometimes just say it over and over and over again and take it apart and think of what does that mean and applying it. I believe that I receive that. I take that. I act on it, you know, and so that’s meditating on the word. You have to do that continually because the outward circumstances may not look any different. Until it appears, it’s creating, but it’s creating in the invisible realm until it appears. So all this time in the invisible realm that it’s being created, you don’t see anything. And you’re standing there thinking, why isn’t anything happening? It is happening. And just slap your hand over your mouth and don’t question. Is this working? Yes, it is because it’s spiritual law. It is the spiritual law of God’s word. Heaven and earth will pass away, Jesus said, but my words will never pass away. And God’s word, when you believe it in your heart and you add your faith to it, it is creative power and it will always, always produce if we don’t quit. So our part is persistence and diligence. Don’t quit and keep throwing out the negative thoughts or the contradicting thoughts. Keep throwing those out. Nope, I believe this. Keep throwing out any negative thought, any contradicting thought to what you’re believing. No, I believe this. I believe this. God said this. I believe I receive it. Thank you, Lord. Throw out that thought. Don’t let that negative thought come in. And so you keep resisting and casting out the negative thoughts and you keep speaking God’s word, God’s word, God’s promises and thanking God for these to come to pass in your life. Now, also there’s the speaking the word, there’s the believing the word, but that has to be combined with the understanding of authority. And that’s where I was. You have to have faith in the authority of God’s word. Because there are people who will say, well, the doctor says I have cancer. And you show them first Peter two 24 and Bible says by his stripes, you were healed. And they’ll say, yeah, I know it says that, but the doctor says I have cancer. So what they’re doing is they’re saying, yeah, I know that. But so they’re not giving credit or value to what God’s word said because the doctor said. And so then they are not believing the authority of God’s word. They’re not believing that God’s word is actually carrying greater weight than the weight of the doctor’s word. But it does. God’s word carries greater weight than the weight of the doctor. But if you don’t believe it, I’ve said this before. You’ve got in your hand two reports and whose report will you believe? You’ve got the doctor’s report in one hand and God’s word in the other. You are literally standing in between them in the middle. This is literal on every choice you make of what you’re going to believe. You have a choice. I can either believe what the doctor says. I can believe the physical circumstance. I can believe what I see or I can believe what God said. And I’m in the middle. And at that moment, whatever way I choose to believe, that’s what you get.
