Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah. Have you made a demon your friend? That might sound really absurd. What do you mean if I made a demon my friend? But you know what? Unknowingly, my friends, some of us have made a friend out of fear. We carry fear around with us 24-7, seven days a week, without realizing that the fear that we’re carrying around with us, the fear that we’re focusing on, the fear that we’re allowing to have dominion over our mind is really from the realm of the demonic. So in answer to the question, have you made a demon your friend? If you’re putting your arm around fear by making it a companion, taking it with you wherever you go and not breaking it off, you have made a demon your friend. The Lord said in Joshua 1.9, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. I am with you, saith the Lord, wherever you go. Beloved, let’s break off the demon of fear. God has commanded you and I to be strong and courageous. We need to rise up from the inside and recognize that fear is an enemy. It needs to be broken and it needs to be defeated. And you and I, by the power of the Holy Spirit, need to rise up and do it.
