Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus, the Messiah. Does God really cause all things to work together for good? Many of us have heard that before, the scripture Romans 8, 28, that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love him and for those that are called according to his purpose. But we oftentimes misunderstand that verse and we think of it in a very secular way. People hear that verse and they think, oh, you know what? My car broke down. God’s going to give me a better car. He might, but that’s not what that verse is saying. What the verse is saying is that no matter what we go through in life, The Lord is going to use it for good in the life of His elect, in the life of His chosen ones, to cause us to become more conformed to the likeness of His Son. As we’re looking to the Lord, no matter what we go through, the times that feel good and the times that are hard, through all this, God is conforming us into the image of His Son. So no matter what you’re going through, times that feel good or times that feel bad, you can know that there’s a purpose in it. God is using it to bring you closer to Himself and to conform you to Jesus’s image.
