SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victoria’s Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This week we have been continuing our study on the peace of faith. This is a continuation of the study that we did in the last few weeks and we talked about peace and I just had in my heart that we need to go deeper into this subject of entering into the peace and rest of God. And so we said, where does peace come from? Peace comes from God. And in Isaiah 53, 5, we see that peace is included in our redemption. And then we saw in Isaiah 54, 10, that God has a covenant of peace with us. And we also saw that peace comes by abiding in God’s presence. And then we saw that peace comes from the word of God. Isaiah 26, three, you will keep him in perfect peace. Shalom, shalom, complete wholeness of peace. Whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. And then we talked about you receive peace by faith, by faith. Hebrews chapter four talks about entering into his rest. And let me read to you verses one through three. Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you or none of us be found to have fallen short of it. So notice if there is a promise of entering rest, it is possible that we could fall short of it. God never, never, never, ever, ever, ever falls short. We are the ones that fall short. Never, never blame God. And remember, we talk about Satan being the liar and he sends these thoughts into your mind, accusing God of failing you. The devil is the biggest liar. God has never failed you. Never. Never. In Hebrews chapter 1, 3, it says that God is upholding all things. That’s the entire universe. That is also the earth and every breath of life on the earth. God is upholding by the power of his word. What if he breaks his word? Well, then his word is broken and then all things will instantly self-destruct. Instantly, God himself will self-destruct and the solar system and galaxy and universe and this earth and all life on the earth will instantly self-destruct. Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will never pass away. God’s promises to you have never failed. Get that out of your head. No, Satan is a liar. He accuses God when the truth is we have failed to lay hold and to enter in to receive. everything God has provided. And so that’s why actually all of the teachings on this radio program are teaching you how to enter in, how to lay hold, how to activate the spiritual laws of the kingdom of God. Now, back to Hebrews 4.1. Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful. that none of you or none of us be found to have fallen short of it. Don’t fall short of entering into the rest, which is a synonym for shalom, peace, wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. And verse two, Hebrews four, two, for we also have had the gospel preached to us just as they did. Now, this is talking about the Israelites when they came out of Egypt, out of slavery, and they had the gospel. Let’s say the word of God. We also have had the gospel or the word of God preached to us just as they did. But the message, the word of God they heard was of no value to them because those who heard did not combine it with faith. And let me remind you, and this is a trick question. So you ought to know the answer though, if you heard me. Is the word of God powerless? Powerless. It’s a trick question. Yes, it is. It is powerless if you don’t combine it with faith. There are millions of people probably in the world today who own a Bible, but for many, many, many years, The word of God is of no value, no effect and no power in their lives because they don’t believe it. You cannot be saved unless you believe. And I shared with you the word of God is like a stick of dynamite. It is dormant power of no effect until the fuse is lit. And when you light the fuse, then it has explosive power and it explodes and it brings effect, change. Well, in the same way, the word of God, if you do not light the fuse by believing it, by combining it with faith, then it has no effect. It’s of no power in your life. But when you combine it with faith, then it is active or explosive power. That’s when it brings change and effect in your life. And that’s exactly what it says in Hebrews 4.2. We read this. It says, Notice they heard the word. This is not people who have never heard the word. This is people who did hear the word. The message they heard was of no value to them or no power in their lives, no effect to them because those who heard did not combine it with faith. When you combine it with faith, that’s when it becomes powerful. That’s when it activates that power. And it becomes explosive power in your life. And then verse three, now we who have believed, do you believe God’s word is true? Now we who have believed do what? Enter that rest. So if you believe, what is the sign of your believing? You’re entering into rest, into peace, right? Now, this is one of the major signs when you are truly believing and in faith. You know, there are a lot of Christians who say, well, we’re just believing God. They’re not believing. They’re in fear and doubt. If you’re crying, you’re not in faith. Oh, we just believe in God. Well, we’re just doing the best we can. We just trust God. Oh, no, that is not faith. Stop it. Because if you are truly in faith, if you are believing, what do you do? Enter into rest. So if you’re anxious, you’re not in faith. If you’re troubled, you’re not in faith. If you say, I’m just so upset, what are we going to do? Then you’re not in faith. There are a lot of Christians who say, I’m in faith. Well, they think they’re in faith just because they label themselves as a Christian. Hey, labeling yourself a Christian doesn’t mean you’re in faith because we labor to enter into rest. You have to cast all your anxiety on the Lord. 1 Peter 5, 7. You enter into rest by faith and rest is the evidence, right? That you are in faith. Because verse 3. We who have believed. Enter that rest. So if you’re believing. You enter into rest. And you trust God. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And verse 9 says. There remains therefore. A Sabbath rest. For. For the people of God, there is a place for the people of God to rest every day in the peace and the rest of God. It’s a Sabbath rest, but for us, it’s seven days a week. We can rest every day. We trust God. We believe God’s word is true. And you need to write down those scriptures on a piece of paper that God has spoken to you. Take those scriptures. Those are the scriptures you do war with in your fight of faith. And you continually speak those scriptures all day long. And if you wake up in the middle of the night, you say them. If you wake up at two o’clock in the morning, you say those scriptures all day long, morning till night. You say those scriptures and you’re adding your faith to them. And by speaking them again and again, remember, faith comes by hearing the word. And also you enter into peace. Again, Isaiah 26, three, you will keep him in perfect peace. Whose mind is stayed on you. You need to keep your mind riveted to God’s promises. And don’t let the devil get your mind off of God’s promises. And how do you keep your mind on them? By saying them out loud, by having them written down on a piece of paper and speaking them morning, noon and night. Speak them when you’re driving in the car. Speak them when you’re walking down the hall at work. Speak them when you get ready in the morning. Speak them when you get ready for bed at night. Speak them all day long and they will be your strength and And your faith is being built up and charged and is empowering you to enter into a perfect peace. Shalom, shalom, wholeness, completeness and tranquility and peace of mind. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
