Join Rabbi Schneider in this heartfelt episode of Seeds of Revelation as he delves into the concept of perfection in our spiritual lives. With the words of Yeshua echoing through our hearts, ‘Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect,’ Rabbi Schneider reassures us that perfection is a journey, not a destination. He embraces the duality of belief and doubt, sharing the comfort found in knowing that Jesus accompanies us on this path, gently guiding us from partial to perfect faith.

Welcome to Seeds of Revelation, a short devotional presented by Rabbi Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah. A favorite statement that I like to make is this, we’re not perfect, but we are on a journey to perfection. Yeshua said to his disciples, be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect. Now, when I hear that, I feel completely defeated because I know that I’m far from perfect. But when I understand that that’s my destiny, and then I’m on a journey to perfection, then I receive it, and it makes me happy to have that goal and to recognize that God is tender with us on our journey. Now, in light of what I just shared, I want to read an important scripture to you, and I’m going to connect these two things together. The concept of perfection, being on a journey to perfection, and the concept that’s revealed in the book of Mark, chapter 9, verse 23 and 24. Hear the word of God. And Jesus said to him, if you can, all things are possible to him who believes. The point I want to make is Jesus saying, all things are possible to him who believes. Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, I do believe, Lord, help my unbelief. So I love this because here was a man, he said he believed, but at the same time he asked Yeshua to help him with his unbelief. And that’s comforting to me because I believe that but I don’t perfectly believe. There’s times when doubt comes in. There’s times when fear comes in. There’s times when worry comes in about what’s going to happen in the future. So I love the fact that I can still feel embraced and affirmed by God, knowing that at times, I need help with my unbelief. Beloved, we’re not perfect yet. We’re on a journey to perfection and Jesus helps us all the way on this journey so that we go from believing to eventually being ones that perfectly believe.
