In this enlightening episode, we discuss who should be involved in funding the kingdom and the importance of giving by faith. As Cherri reiterates, everything you do, including your service, time, and money, should be done by faith to please God. Discover how faith is an essential measure for your offerings and how you can ensure your gifts are valuable in God’s eyes.
SPEAKER 01 :
Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. Today we are going to continue our study in the lesson Kingdom of God Partnership. So join me now for the continuation of this lesson, Kingdom of God Partnership. So we’re talking about who should be involved in the Kingdom of God or in Kingdom Partnerships funding. And we already said Kingdom Partnership is funding the work of the Kingdom of God. Funding the work of the kingdom of God. Who should be involved in kingdom partnerships? Who should be involved in funding the work of the kingdom of God? Well, Jesus said, as a review, let me say in Matthew 6, 33, it was the sermon on the mount. It was to the multitudes and historians estimate there were probably at least 10,000 people there. This is what we would refer to today as the body of Christ today. He said to all of them, seek first his kingdom in his right ways. If you put God first and his ways first, then the things you need will be given to you as well. Now, you know, let me say this real quickly. It takes faith to give to God first, but that’s why it pleases him. In Hebrews 11, 6, without faith, it is impossible to please God. So you can see there an offering given without faith does not give any pleasure to God. Just like anything else you do without faith, it is impossible. It doesn’t say it’s hard, challenging, difficult. No, it says it is impossible. In Hebrews 11, 6, without faith, it is impossible to please God. Now, that means faith needs to be included in everything you do. And that includes your service, your time, your money, your relationships, everything you do, do it by faith. And that includes your giving. Give by faith. And so if what you’re giving doesn’t require any faith from you because it’s a leftover and you can spare it, then it’s not going to bring any pleasure to God because without faith, it’s impossible to please God. So this is another way to measure your offering to you. How valuable is it to you? Well, does it require your faith to give it? Are you giving it in faith? And I’m not saying you always have to give something that hurts. I’m not saying that because even a percentage, 5%, 10%, those require faith. Anything you give, you should always give it with faith. Add your faith to your gift and that way it will be acceptable and pleasing to the Lord. So many Christians today don’t think or consider faith. that they have any responsibility or obligation in the kingdom of God. Mainly because they say, well, I’m not in the ministry. I’m not in the ministry. I don’t have any obligation to the kingdom of God. I’m not responsible for what goes on in the church, what goes on in these ministries. I’m not responsible. Many Christians don’t think, or maybe they don’t even take time to consider it. Not that they would think against it, but they just don’t give it any thought. They don’t give any thought to their obligation and responsibility to the work of the kingdom of God. And many may say loosely that what they have is the Lord’s. Well, what I have is the Lord’s anyway. Well, not necessarily. Not if what you’re spending is all for you and your family and your needs and desires, then it’s not the Lord’s. It’s only what you give in obedience to the Lord. To the work of the Lord, to the poor as gifts or whatever. That is the Lord’s. That’s when you’re giving it to the Lord. If you’re spending it on you, you’re not giving it to the Lord. It’s not the Lord’s. It’s yours. And so if you’re spending all of your money on you and your needs and your family and their needs and your desires and pleasures, et cetera, needs and desires and pleasures, and you’re not putting God first, the top taken off going to God, then you are not obeying the scripture. Matthew 6, 33, seek first the kingdom. You’re not because you have put the kingdom later down on the list or last place on the list. And so I want to challenge you today to put the kingdom of God first and back to talking about what is the ministry or the work of the ministry. It is not only preachers of the word who are called into ministry, right? Everyone, bold and underline the word everyone, is called into ministry. Although they may not be called to the ministry of the preaching and teaching of the word. The word ministry simply means service. We would use today in modern English the word service. That’s what ministry is. To minister means to serve. Ministry means service. And so that means everyone is called to serve. You are called to serve and to do good works. Let me show you several scriptures. Ephesians chapter two, verse 10 says, for we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. Why were you created in Christ Jesus? Well, this is not the only reason. Of course, we’re created to be the children of God and to fellowship with God. Yes. But another reason you were created in Christ was to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Let me read it again. Ephesians 2 10 for we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Let’s look at Ephesians chapter four verses 11 and 12. This is where we see the naming of the five offices of ministry. These are the offices in the body of Christ of the minister. Or let me say like the, the ministry of the word, the preachers of the word. And so here it is in Ephesians four, 11 and 12. Verse 11, it was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers. Those are the ministers of the word of God, the preachers and teachers of the word. But why were they given? Verse 12, why were they given? To prepare God’s people for what? Works of service. So the ministry of the word is for the purpose of preparing God’s people, the entire body of Christ for works of service. That shows that every Christian is responsible and obligated to take part in works of service in the kingdom of God. So the ministry of the word is to prepare God’s people for works of service. So that means you are called by God, as we saw in Ephesians 2.10 to do good works. But here we see that you are called and prepared by God for works of service. And we see it again in 2 Timothy 3, verses 16 and 17. All scripture is God breathed. That’s what inspired the King James has inspired. But that word inspired means to breathe life into. So it is the breath of God and the life of God in his word. All scripture is God breathed. His life has been breathed into his word and it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Let me just pause there and put a side note. Don’t be surprised when you get rebuked or corrected. That’s part of the preaching in the ministry of the word. And God will sometimes use, yes, five-fold ministry offices, five-fold ministry offices, but he might use your spouse. your wife or your husband also to correct and rebuke. Do not be so full of pride that you do not accept correction. What you just heard was the continuation of a message that I preached called Kingdom of God Partnership. And we will continue this lesson again next week. And as I have been doing all this week, this is partnership week as we are believing God to raise up partners for this radio program on the many stations that we have stepped out in faith to go on. And so by faith, we are now on radio in Huntsville, Alabama today. Tucson, Arizona, Fort Smith, Arkansas, Denver, Colorado, which reaches all the way up into Cheyenne, Wyoming, and the southwest corner of Nebraska. We’re also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which reaches also into Wilmington, Delaware. We are in the corner of the tri-state area of Indiana, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio. We are in Tupelo, Mississippi, Kansas City, Missouri, which also reaches northeastern Kansas, Omaha, Nebraska, which also reaches western Iowa, and we are in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dayton, Ohio, Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which also reaches northern West Virginia, and as I said, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which also reaches Wilmington, Delaware. We’re in Greenville, South Carolina, Memphis, Tennessee, Amarillo, and the entire Panhandle region of Texas reaching into New Mexico and Oklahoma. We are also in Richmond, Virginia, and in Hampton, Virginia. And so we are now on 19 stations and we went on these stations by the word of the Lord. The Lord spoke to me and said, go on more stations now. And so in obedience, we sought the Lord and found these and the Lord directed us to go on these stations. And we did that by faith. But we are also depending on the Lord to raise up partners who will support each of these radio stations. So we need your support to stay on this station in your area. And if you are enjoying this program and getting blessed by it and would like for it to continue on this station, we need to receive your partnership support this week. and continuing on a monthly basis.
