Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning we are going to continue the message that I’ve been sharing with you all this week that I preached in our Victorious Faith service called Living in Perfect Peace. And if you don’t do your part, you’re not going to receive what he promised. Your part here, he said, is I will say. Do you say this? That’s what I was saying. Who do you say he is? If you only call him savior that gives you new birth, so you go to heaven when you die. That’s all that a lot of Christians claim him as. They only claim him as savior once. With only the knowledge of the new birth, not recognizing that even healing and prosperity and deliverance come in salvation, they only receive new birth. That’s all they receive. They live and die receiving nothing more. That’s the majority. 99.9% of Christians are only receiving new birth. Most do not receive him and claim him as Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Jireh, their healer, provider, their fortress, defender, shield, keeper, deliverer, their salvation, meaning the whole salvation, which includes healing, prosperity, and deliverance. Their victory, their shepherd, their wisdom, their helper, their peace, their joy. They’re not claiming him. They’re not calling on him. They’re not saying, you are mine. Remember Romans 10, 9 and 10. If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. But you also got to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that he is your healer. You also have to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that he’s your provider. You have to claim him. He is my Jehovah Rophe. He is my Jehovah Jireh. He is my Jehovah Shalom, my peace. You have to confess and claim him as your deliverer, your fortress, your preserver, your protector. If you don’t, you have not received because receiving is active. The Greek verb in the New Testament to receive is actually the active verb to take, to lay hold, to procure, to seize and take to oneself. that’s what it says if you believe you receive you shall have it that word receive actually means to take procure seize take to yourself to grasp it you’ve got to take hold of it in your heart how do you do it in your heart I take it. I believe it. I receive it. And with your mouth, that’s Romans 10, 9 and 10. In your heart, believe it. With your mouth, confess it. Lord, you are my deliverer. You are my Jehovah Jireh, Rapha. You are my Jehovah Yeshua, my Jehovah Ganon. You are my Jehovah Matzud. You are my Jehovah Shalom. You are everything to me. You have to claim him as everything. If you only claim him as the one who gives you new birth, that’s the only thing you’re taking. But if you claim him as all the others, then you take them by faith in your heart and by your confession with your mouth, with your lips. And that’s what this is saying. Psalm 91, verse 2. I see it changes person. It goes from third person to first person. The first verse is in third person. He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will abide in the shadow of the almighty. That’s third person. But the second verse changes immediately to first person and it’s an action. I will say of the Lord. In other words, I am claiming him. He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. You need to claim that. Let’s say it together. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Say it one more time. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. You’ve got to say that regularly. Claim him as your refuge in your fortress. And the word dwell means to sit down, remain, settle, marry, abide, continue, and establish habitation. The word shelter is a secret place. It means a covering, a shelter, a hiding place, a place of secrecy and protection. How do you do that? How do you stay in God’s presence? How do you abide in him? By worshiping him and talking to him continually and by confessing him. As your savior, lord, refuge, fortress, deliverer, salvation, victory. But you can enter into, we’re talking about abiding in his presence, dwelling and remaining in his presence. How do you do that? By worshiping him in your heart throughout the day. I mean, not that you can always keep your mind totally on him because you’ve got work to do. You might have to think about your job. But in pauses while you walk down the hallway, drive down the road, go wash your hands. You can say, Lord, I worship you in your heart. You don’t even have to say it out loud. He can hear you. He’s in you. I worship you, Lord. I love you, Lord. I give you praise. I thank you for this day. Thank you for being with me. You are present. You are Jehovah Shama with me and talk to him, worship him and talk to him throughout the day. That’s the way you stay abiding in his presence. And then in God’s presence is rest and peace. He is the shelter in the midst of the storm. Peace also comes from the word of God. And I talked about this on the radio program this last week. Psalm 119, 165. Great peace have they who love your law and nothing can make them stumble. If you love his law, well, if you love it, what are you going to do? You’re going to read it. think on it, meditate on it and follow it and obey it. Yes, that’s right. What you said, but you start with reading it, meditating on it, thinking on it, and then obeying it. If you love his law and which we call it the word of God, the whole Bible, the old covenant and new covenant, great peace. Shalom. Have they who love your law? Nothing can make them stumble. Isaiah 26, three, you will keep him in perfect peace. Whose mind is stayed. That means fixed on you because he trusts in you. And a person says, well, how can you do that? You just think about him throughout the day. Like I said, of course you have to think about your work and what you’re doing. You have to think about even if you’re in the kitchen baking. I was baking something sometime back, and I was listening to a message, and I just got so caught up, I forgot what ingredients I had put in the mix. I wasn’t watching because I was thinking on the word. So you’ve got to keep your mind on some things you’re doing, especially when you’re driving. But when you have breaks and pauses, turn your heart and mind to God. Isaiah 48, 18. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river. Your righteousness, like the waves of the sea. Let’s turn around. If you do pay attention to his commands, let’s just say the word of God. If you pay attention to the word of God, that means keep it in your heart and mind. Your peace will be like a river. And Philippians 4, 6 through 8, do not be anxious about anything. That is a command many Christians don’t obey. They don’t even believe it’s a command. They ignore it. They are anxious continually, but God said, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with Thanksgiving, present your request to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, passes all understanding will guard your hearts and your mind, your heart and mind need to be guarded. with his peace in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. If you don’t think on these things, you will lose your peace. And people say, but I can’t help it. Yes, you can. Your mind is your mind. I talked this week about the devil’s little devils. I think of them like little imps sitting on the shoulder. Little tiny things. They sit on your shoulder right up next to your ear. But they’re shooting thoughts like arrows. Remember Ephesians 6? We put up the shield of faith to quench all the fiery arrows. Those arrows are largely the thoughts. Of course, they can also be physical attacks or financial attacks. But they are the thoughts he shoots in your mind. That little demon, that little imp is shouting there, you’re not going to make it. You’re going to die. You’re going to fail. You’re going to go under. You’re not going to have the money. You won’t be able to pay this off. They don’t like you. They’re going to turn you away. You’re going to go under. I mean, all these doubts. You’re going to die. You’re going to die. They’re going to shoot these thoughts of doubt and fear in your mind. You have to recognize them and cast them down. And I’m getting ahead of myself because I’m going to talk about that as our part a little bit more in a moment. But Jesus is our example. Jesus had perfect peace in the midst of the storm on the Sea of Galilee in Luke 8. He had perfect peace when the people tried to throw him over the cliff and kill him. He just walked right through the crowd in Luke 4. Jesus stayed calm and untroubled when he took control over demons. We see that in Luke 8 also. And this is extraordinary.
