SPEAKER 01 :
A few months went by, and the Holy Spirit began to bring me a whole other level of revelation, which is important for you, my friends, to hear, because there are so many teachings on this subject that don’t have balance. I want to share with you a story from my own life. I was ministering and traveling all over the world. This was about 10 years ago. And I’m preaching in Africa to crowds of 30, 40, 50,000 people. People are getting healed. I saw this happening before my own eyes. At first, I was questioning, is this real, Lord? Are all these people that are coming to testify, are they really healed? I was just, I didn’t know. So I said, Lord, show me a miracle, a healing miracle that will absolutely convince me that you are truly, supernaturally healing these people. And I’ll know it and I won’t have any question or doubt. Literally, I saw it. saw a woman that was legally blind get instantly healed. We went back and documented this a year later. And we have all the witnesses. We have all the witnesses from the town where this woman lived. We saw the change in the woman’s life. We have witness from her daughter. We went back a year later. She was totally a different woman. She was absolutely, remarkably, 100% healed of blindness. And when I saw that miracle, I took my doubt away. Lord, this is happening. This is real. So eventually what happened is after being on the mission field, seeing thousands of people healed everywhere I went, I said to myself, well, I’m seeing all these people healed. I’m preaching healing. Why am I still taking my medicines from the doctor? So I called my doctor. I said, Dr. Amanda, I said, You know, I preach all over the world that God’s our healer, and yet here I am, you know, taking medicine. I said, I’m going to take my own medicine now. I’m going to give up all these medicines now. I’m no longer going to be taking the medicine, Dr. Amanda. And she said to me, Rabbi, she said, I feel like I was put on earth to help people like you. And so that was really humbling to me because I felt like if I’m on earth to help people spiritually, why should I not be able to receive the ministry that other people have to me? And my doctor was telling me that her ministry was medicine. So I thought, oh, wow, that’s kind of touching me. I said, okay. So we came up with a plan. And so what I did is I went off certain medicines. And that was the plan, that I was gonna go off certain medications and I was gonna take a couple other ones that I was dealing with for cholesterol, stuff like that. So one of the medicines that I was on at the time was like a proton pump inhibitor. You take it to eliminate acid reflux, which I’ve struggled with for many years. But at this time in my life, I had such bad acid reflux because I was getting such a sore throat from the acid reflux. Some of you that may not know what acid reflux is, it’s like acid from your stomach comes up into your esophagus and it begins to burn your throat. My throat pain was so bad, I literally felt I was gonna burn out my vocal cord. So that’s why I went on this proton pump inhibitor. But I said to my doctor, I am going to stop taking this proton pump inhibitor. I’m going off this medication. It makes my guts not feel good inside, and I’m going to trust the Lord. So I went off the proton pump inhibitor. I was reading every scripture every single day on healing. I was reading books on healing. I love the doctrine of divine healing. I love it so much. Because it brings God so close. I love trusting God to be the healer of my body because it brings him in me. A lot of times we’re believing in a God that’s up in heaven. You know, we’re believing that when we die, we go to heaven. But to believe in God right now for your body, to put him to the test, so to speak, not that we’re going to test the Lord in a negative way, but we’re putting our faith to the test by believing God for the healing of our body. It brings him, beloved, by faith so much. near to us. It brings him inside us. We’re trusting him internally inside to heal our bodies. I love this doctrine. I love it. It’s so precious to me. I love it. So I’m trusting God for my body and I’m reading all the healing scriptures and I’m reading books on divine healing. I’d gone off the medication. And about a week after going off the medication, my sore throat began to return. And it was getting worse every day. And I’m believing God as much as I can for my healing. By your stripes, Jesus, I’m healed. I believe that you not only took my sin away, but you took my sickness away. I’m believing you, Jesus. I love you. I love believing in you to be my healer. I love it. But my throat is getting worse every day. The acid reflux without the prescription was getting worse and worse and worse. Another week goes by. My throat is so sore. You have no idea. I felt like my tonsils were going to burn out. My vocal cords were going to burn out. Lord, help me, God. My throat, I feel like I’m burning my esophagus out. I feel like I’m burning out my vocal cords. Lord, I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. And I kept on going on and trusting God and believing God and holding on. And the throat was getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. And remember, I’m believing, Jesus, you not only died for my sin to take it away, but you died to take my sickness away. And I kept on trusting God. And finally, the pain got so bad that I said, Lord, if you don’t heal me in three days, I’m going to have to go back on the prescription. So three days went by. I’m still in tremendous agonizing pain. I went back on the prescription. The sore throat went away. But you know what, beloved? My faith was broken. I was crushed. It was one of the biggest faith challenges I’ve ever experienced in my life. My faith is like crushed. I mean, I’m still believing in Jesus. I’m still loving Jesus. I still even love the doctrine of divine healing when I went back on the medicine. But I just, Lord, Lord, it didn’t work. I believed, but it didn’t work. I’m still struggling with this thing. And I don’t know, Lord, does faith even work? Because I believed you for my healing as much as I could. And I fed my faith with the word of God about healing every single day. And I believe, Lord, that it’s all in the atonement. And yet here I am still struggling with this. I just was broken, crushed. I couldn’t move forward. I just was there like, what do I do with this, Lord? And a few months went by and the Holy Spirit began to bring me a whole other level of revelation, which is important for you, my friends, to hear because there are so many teaching on this subject today of divine healing that don’t have balance. And I truly believe that I’m offering you true food and true drink and the mind of the Lord in this. So here I am thinking, what happened, Lord? My faith didn’t work. It seems like the word of God didn’t work in my life. I wasn’t healed. And the Holy Spirit, I was in Brazil when the Holy Spirit began to speak to me. And he said, these two words, he said, there is an element of mystery and balance, mystery and balance surrounding the doctrine of divine healing. And the Lord began to bring me scriptures in the Word of God that you often don’t hear being taught by those that are proclaiming divine healing. Because many of those that proclaim divine healing don’t make any room for the mystery and balance of it all. But here’s what the Lord began to show me. He said, consider 1 Timothy 5, verse 23. Hear the Word of God. Paul is speaking to Timothy here, and Paul says to him, no longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments. Let’s take this apart for a second. Paul tells Timothy, his true son in the faith, to no longer just drink water, but to also drink wine because of his stomach and his, Paul said, frequent ailments. And so think about it. Paul didn’t rebuke Timothy for his lack of faith. He didn’t tell Timothy to pray more. He didn’t tell Timothy to read the Bible more. Instead, Paul told Timothy to drink wine as a remedy for the sicknesses that he was dealing with. And so what this tells me is that sometimes God uses agents. All healing comes from God, but sometimes God uses agents, and we actually see this revelation rooted in the Torah, in the Hebrew Bible, in the book of Shemot or Exodus, chapter 15, verse 26.

In Exodus 15, verse 26, Israel was on their journey, and they came to a place that is called Morah, which means bitter, and there was some water there, which the Israelites needed to drink, but they couldn’t drink the water there because the water was toxic. So Moses called upon the Lord, And God told Moses to take a, get this now, a hyssop branch, an agent. God told Moses to take a hyssop branch and to put that hyssop branch in the water. And when Moses put the hyssop branch in the water, God cleansed the water. And then the Lord said to Moses, I am Yahweh Rophecha. I am the Lord that heals you. So God revealed Himself as Yahweh Rophecha, I am the Lord that heals you. And when He released His healing to the children of Israel through at the waters of Moriah, He did it by the agent of a hyssop branch. God was the healer, but God didn’t just speak to the water directly. And God didn’t tell Moses just to speak to the water directly, but rather he used a natural remedy. He used a hyssop branch, cleansed the water, and then said to the children of Israel, I’m Yahweh Rofecha, I am the Lord, your healer. Some people have heard God referred to as Yahweh Rapha. Rapha is just the root word of healer. But in this particular case, it’s not Rapha, it’s Rophecha because it’s your healer. I’m the Lord that heals you. So the concept is, beloved ones, that sometimes God uses agents. He did it when Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for as many ailments, and he did it when he revealed himself as Yahweh Rophecha in the Torah. Again, the challenge is we don’t look first to the agent. We look to the Lord. And as we keep our eyes upon him, he may bring us an agent. He may bring us a remedy. He may bring us a medicine, whether it be a plant, whether it be food, whether it be a prescription, whether it be a physician. But we always are looking to the Lord to be our healer. And we’re giving him thanks for the healing, asking him to use the agents as opposed to just relying on man and relying on the flesh alone. which too oftentimes God’s children have done, and the Lord’s not happy about it. And it hurts us when we’re looking to the natural rather than to our supernatural God that wants to be our personal healer. Now, oftentimes God does heal people directly and supernaturally. In fact, let me break it up like this. God sometimes speaks to people directly. Yeshua often did. He said, be healed and they were healed. But sometimes Yeshua himself used an agent when he spit on the ground and he took the dirt on the ground that he had spit on so that it became like a mushy mud substance, and then he put it on the blind man’s eyes, and the blind man was healed when Yeshua put the mud on his eyes. So there’s an element of mystery and balance to all this, but too oftentimes, faith healers try to lock us into something, making us feel that if we don’t just completely rely, you know, with no agent involved and rely only on God, that we’re somehow weak in faith. You know, and some people have doctrines and there are some even denominations that they won’t use any medicine, they won’t see any doctors, and I just think that’s unbiblical and unnatural. And it’s not in accord with God’s Word. It doesn’t have balance to it. Now consider this. Some people sometimes were healed instantly. There are situations in life where we are instantly healed. From the time that you first believe in God for your healing, as soon as you believe in him, some have experienced instantaneous healing. I’ve seen it in my own ministry. In fact, I was at NRB conference, the National Religious Broadcasters Conference. People were there in Nashville from all over the world. Biggest religious broadcasters conference in the world. So I’m in a hallway with my producer, Dustin, and we run in to one of the most influential leaders in Israel. I’m talking about a Jewish believer in Israel, one of the most influential, effective Jewish evangelists in Israel. So I run into him there at the NRB conference in the hallway, and I’m talking to him, and there had been bubbling up from my spirit. What Israel needs is boldness in proclaiming the word of God on the streets. And you need irrefutable miracles following your proclamation of the word with boldness. And it was so strong and it was rising up so strong in me. It can’t just be all undercover friendship, relational evangelism. You guys need to be bold and your boldness needs to be followed by signs and wonders. So I’m sharing this with this pastor in Israel. That was at the NRB conference, from Israel at the NRB conference. And as I’m sharing this with him, there’s a woman about 70 feet away from me, in her 40s approximately. She’s all alone. She’s just looking right at me. I mean, her eyes were looking at me straight beeline. And so it was obvious he wanted to talk to me. So eventually, after a little bit, I called her over. I said, I see you want to talk to me, honey. What’s going on? She said, Rabbi, I was here last year at the NRB conference and I had MS. and you laid your hands on me and I’m healed.” She was instantly healed. And that pastor in Israel, by the way, he had strong confirmation that what I was telling him was truth, because right when I was telling him, you need to be bold, you need to have signs and wonders following your testimony, she comes up and says, Rabbi, you laid your hands on me and I was healed. God be all the glory. Some people are healed instantly. Get this now, beloved. Some people, this is important, supernaturally recover from the time they start trusting God for their healing, for the time that somebody lays their hands on them and prays for them. Sometimes people are healed instantly. Sometimes people supernaturally recover over time. So getting back to my story about the acid reflux. So again, I went back on the medication. I’m going back to where I was when I was sharing with you my story. went back on the medication, the Lord began to show me in the word of God, there’s an element of mystery and balance to this. Consider Paul and Timothy and how Timothy took a remedy. Another example, by the way, that’s a mystery of this is that not everybody does get healed. For example, Paul left one of his companions sick of Miletus. Think about it. Paul, that healed the sick, Paul, the one that was bitten by a venomous snake and shrugged the snake off him, and everybody thought he was going to die because he was bitten by this poisonous snake. And when Paul didn’t die, they started worshiping him like he was a god, and he had to tell him to stop. Here’s the great man of faith, the apostle Paul, that healed the sick, that was bitten by a poisonous snake and didn’t die, and yet he had to leave one of his companions sick in Miletus. What do we make of that? There’s an element of mystery and balance to all this. So again, back to my story. I go back on the medicine, the sore throat goes away. But about a year later, I decided I was gonna go off the medicine again. I’m still not on the medicine. So I tried it again. I said, Lord, I’m gonna trust you for the healing of my acid reflux. And I still battle with it sometimes, especially when the seasons change. But beloved, I’ve been off that medicine now and I have never had the type of problem that I did back when I first began to trust God for my healing. Mystery and balance. I supernaturally recovered over time. So some people might not get healed instantly, but from the time that you’re prayed for, from the time that you start believing God, your healer, to receive healing into your body, you begin to recover and get stronger and stronger from there. Some people, beloved ones, that we all know, they seemingly never get healed on this side of glory. People that you know that have struggled with some type of physical ailment, some physical challenge their entire life, they love God, they love people, they’re believing for their healing, but for reasons we don’t understand, They have not yet received their healing and it’s been years. Sometimes people don’t get healed of their physical sickness until they leave this world and we don’t understand why this is. There is an element, beloved, of mystery and balance to all this. But let’s not let what we don’t understand keep us from believing and receiving What we do understand, and what we understand is that God by nature is a healer, He’s compassionate, and His healing flows to His people through the provision of Jesus’ sacrificial death and shed blood. Thank you for tuning in today. Beloved, I’ve been praying that Father God would continue to subject me and that I would cooperate with His subjection and come under the blade of His Word. The Word is living and active and sharper than a two-edged sword. And it’s ministered to us in the power of the Holy Spirit through Messiah Jesus. In order for this process to take place, I have to be willing to come under His authority. And when we come under His authority, it affects our disciplining of our thoughts, our attitude, our words, everything in life, including how we use our finances. I want to encourage you. Surrender your finances to God, to Hashem, because we can’t enter into the fullness of His presence without being surrendered to Him in every area of our lives. If the Lord is blessing you and feeding you through this ministry, and you feel Him urging you to make a donation to Him through it, beloved, just be obedient.
