SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. Today I’m going to continue sharing with you the message that I’ve been sharing with you all this week that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Our Blood Covenant with God. So join me in our live service for part five of the continuation of this message called Our Blood Covenant with God. the relationship is born and that’s what the constant remembrance is do this in remembrance of me and I want you to think of that when you take communion every time for the rest of your life remembrance of the covenant and all that it paid for and that’s what I did for 30 days this is what it paid for me it paid this for me it paid this for me it paid my healing it paid my this and this and this and you think of it you think through it this is what it paid for me and keep that covenant in remembrance hallelujah hallelujah and so the covenant is in the relationship is born now I want us to go to the New Testament and see where Jesus fulfilled that ceremony that I just pictured for you and starting with we are here in Hebrews so let’s look at Hebrews 8 and And verses 10 through 13. This is the covenant. Verse 10. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God. See, this is covenant talk. This is covenant talk. I will be their God. I’ll be everything they need. And you know, when I see the word God, I have learned to understand that as being source for everything. Source with a capital S. And I’ve said this sometimes. Who is your God? You know, Christians will automatically say, well, Jesus is our God. Jehovah is our God. But it actually comes down to when you have a need, where do you look? Do you look to the credit card to pay a need? Do you look to the banker? Do you look to your husband? If you’re saying, if it’s always, honey, I need this, honey, I need this. Then has your honey become your God? The source for everything you need. Is that where you look? Or have you learned to go first to the father? And wives can learn to first go to the father and then discuss it with their husband. But always making God first. Amen. And same with physical pain or healing. I mean, it’s fine. Doctors, medicines are fine. But what’s first? Did you first stop and say, Father God, I look to you. You are my healer. That’s first. Yes. first. What’s first? And it’s the first place you look when there’s a need. And the thing is that to a lot of people, God is so far out there. He’s kind of untouchable and unreal that they first go to what they can see and feel in the natural. They go to their friend, their family, their spouse, somebody that they can see and touch because that’s more real to them. But what I’m saying is that this covenant makes God more real. This covenant relationship is what makes God more real. And so that you can easily go to him first before you talk to anybody. Amen. Amen. And so when I say God, I’m always thinking of source or first place you look. Who is your God? Where is the first place you look? Amen. Well, let me read it from here. And God said, I will be their God and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor or a man his brother saying, know the Lord, because they will all know me from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. That’s important. If God has forgotten your sins, then you also forget your sins. Once you have brought them to the Lord. And I’ve heard arguments. You don’t confess your sin. I did a week of teaching on that. The Bible says you confess and you repent of sin. And that’s for Christians, not just for unbelievers. That is for Christians. But as I heard a man of God say, God spoke to him and he said, when you confess it is when you get rid of it. Confession of the sin and saying, Lord, I’m sorry I did that. That is what lifts it off of you and it breaks it off of you forever. It gets rid of it. And then another preacher said, admit it, quit it, forget it. Just admit it, quit it, forget it. Over. And then don’t bring it up again because God has forgotten it. You can forget it too. Hallelujah. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. Verse 13. By calling this covenant new, he has made the first one obsolete. And what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. So we see there is a new covenant established now in the blood of Jesus. Now, as we had said that this covenant is bringing two representatives together. I want us to understand that Jesus is called the last Adam here. In 1 Corinthians 15, 22, 1 Corinthians 15, 22, it says, So in Christ, all will be made alive. And then going down to verse 45, Verse 45, 1 Corinthians 15, 45. So it is written, the first man, Adam, became a living being. The last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The word Adam means man. Jesus came to earth as a man. And there’s a lot of religious ideas that are wrong when people think Jesus did miracles wrong. Jesus walked on water because he’s God. And that you ask him, how did Jesus walk on the water? Well, he’s God. Well, Philippians two verse six says that being in very nature, God, and a footnote there says, this is one of the strongest assertions of the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus is deity. He is God and, Being in very nature God, he did not consider equality with God something to be grasped. And that word grasped means to cling on to or to hold to. So this is Philippians 2.6. Even though he is deity being in very nature, God deity, he did not consider his equality or his deity, something to be held on to, to be clung to. But verse seven says, taking the very nature of a servant, he came and was found in the form of a man. So he laid aside deity to become a man while he was on earth so that what he did while he was alive on earth, he did as a man, not as God, because he had laid aside deity. He did not hold to his deity or grasped cling to his deity, but he put it aside, taking on the very nature of man. And of a servant. And that’s called Adam. Well, he did not have a sin nature, but the first Adam didn’t have a sin nature when he was created. When the first Adam was created, he was sinless and he was perfect. So Jesus came as the last Adam being really exactly like the first Adam. Sinless and perfect. And yet he was still a man. Adam was a man and Adam was capable of sinning. And he did. Jesus was also capable, but he didn’t. As Hebrews also says, he was tempted in every way, just as we are, but he was without sin. Jesus was just as capable of sinning as any one of us and as the first Adam. He was exactly like the first Adam. And as I taught this also in the series on the resurrection, Jesus actually had to pass the very same test that the first Adam failed. He had to pass that test. So the first Adam in the image of God, sinless, perfect Adam. And Satan comes and tempts him and he sins. The last Adam had to come and do a retake of that same test that Adam failed in the Garden of Eden. And Jesus faced the same thing in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights.
