On this episode of A Touch From Above, Dr. Luauna Stines delivers a bold message on what it truly means to be born again. She challenges religious thinking, calls for real repentance, and reminds listeners that transformation—not tradition—is the evidence of a life changed by Jesus.
SPEAKER 02 :
Do you have faith? I wrote a book called Mission America. It’s a journal. I literally took a team of five women. We traveled across the entire United States of America with 250,000 gospel tracts, a revival tent, 250 chairs from San Diego all the way to the East Coast, all the way back, reloaded all the way up the West Coast, all the way across Washington, Oregon, you name it. Setting up our tent and preaching the gospel. This book, Mission America, will make you laugh, keep you at the edge of your seat, and you’ll go, oh my gosh, I can’t believe these girls. I want to encourage you, for your support, I want to send you your copy. ATFA, P.O. Box 2800, Ramona, California, 92065. A touch from above, P.O. Box 2800, Ramona, California, 92065. SPEAKER 02 :
Nicodemus said to Jesus, how can a man be born when he’s old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born? Jesus answered and said, most assuredly, Nicodemus, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he’s talking about the water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Do not marvel, Nicodemus, that I say to you, you must be born again. The wind blows. where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but you cannot tell where it comes from. So, listen, why did he say that? So was everyone who was born of the Spirit. You see, can you see the flags blowing in the wind right there? Can you feel the wind? That’s the spirit of the living God. It’s just like that. So when the spirit of the living God comes inside of you, something transpires. There’s a metamorphosis. There’s a transformation. But if you just have religion, there’s no change. It’s like, well, you know, you don’t even know it, but you become like Nicodemus. Well, I know that God does miracles. Well, I know that he must be from God for all these things that he does. I mean, my goodness, look at him. Blind eyes open, the deaf can hear. You see, there’s a difference between knowing of God and knowing God. There’s a difference between knowing of him and knowing him. When he comes into your heart, you cannot, I repeat, you cannot associate yourself back into that old world unless you completely refuse God. Something doesn’t fit right. Something inside, well, I shouldn’t, well, I shouldn’t be in this old world. Something inside of you begins to go, you know, it’s like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. It doesn’t work. Nicodemus thought because he had a form of religion. The rich man thought he had a form of religion. I’ve done all these things. What more can I do, Jesus? And the rich man came to Jesus and said, how can I enter into the kingdom of heaven? Jesus looked at him and he goes, you know, gives him the commandments. But guess what the rich man said? I’ve done that my whole life. I’ve been religious my whole life. I’m part of the Baptist church. I’m part of the Nazarene. I’m part of whatever. You know, you can be a part of a church, but just because you are part of a church doesn’t make you a Christian. A Christian, Christian means Christ within. Christian means Christ lives within you. He dwells in you. I like how the apostle Paul said, it’s in him that I live and I move and I have my being. It’s in Christ. He is the hope of glory. It is because of him that Paul preached the gospel. It wasn’t religion. It was the relationship that God touched him on. on the road to Damascus. So what was it that happened to John? John came out of the desert. You would think he was a crazy wild man. Aren’t you glad that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise? Look to your neighbor and say, we all look kind of foolish. Say, thank God he can use me. You see, God doesn’t use who you think. God doesn’t use who you think. He uses the least likely. You gotta get a picture of John the Baptist. The Bible says he was in the desert for over 30 some years. That means his skin was probably really rough. I don’t know, the Bible says that he had a different attire. He wore a jacket like camel hair. He had a leather belt. His appetite was different than ours. I was carnivore, he was grasshopper. He had a pouch with grasshoppers, except they were called locusts, that means big grasshoppers. And the other side, he had a pouch with honey. So you can imagine coming out of the desert. I don’t know, did he have pants? Did he have, I don’t know what he had, but he had camel’s jacket on. His hair was probably wild. His skin was probably rough. He probably had sandals of that day. His feet were probably really dirty. And guess what his first sermon was? We have some water, Jesus loves you. We have some water. Jesus loves you. Here, Jesus loves you. We have some water. Jesus loves you. No, that’s not John the Baptist’s sermon. You know what he preached? Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. And when the king came by, and the king, we’re talking John the Baptist. He looks at the king, and he says, you have your brother’s wife. Repent. How dare him judge? John the Baptist, how dare you judge? No, the truth will set you free. I loved our team that stood up and said these words. I was a drunkard, a liar, a pervert, a scam bucket. I was whatever. Pastor Jill got up and said, my parents were alcoholics. They died before when I was in my 20s. They drank and they fought. I drank also. I was an alcoholic in the army. Jesus set me free. He did a miracle in my life. You see, if you are ashamed of what Jesus has done, maybe Jesus hasn’t done anything. in your life. Maybe you’re not really saved because when you get saved, you’re changed. So that’s what you have to ask yourself. You have to look in the mirror and you have to never be ashamed. You know what? My testimony is my testimony. People always, you know, when I meet people, I tell them, that’s my book. That’s me. I’m on the cover of this book. Crazy wild girl. That’s me. And I have been set free. I was bound by drugs. I was angry. I was mad. My husband was murdered. I had two children. He was murdered. I was a single mother. My life was broken. First time somebody witnessed to me, I went to church over and over. Why do I give my testimony? Do you know why the book of Acts? Do you know how many times the apostle Paul gave his testimony? All through the book of Acts. You know what Paul says? I was on the road to Damascus and suddenly there was a voice from heaven and it knocked me down off of my horse and there was light and darkness all around and I was blinded and the voice said to me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? Why do you kick against the groves? He said, and then I was blind. They had to lead me. Do you understand the apostle Paul was sharing his testimony? Why? To the Jews, to the Pharisees, to the Sadducees, because he had an experience with God. When you have an experience with God, you’re not ashamed of your testimony. You’re able to stand up. And Mary gave her testimony, and Charlie gave his testimony. And Mary said, for 30 years, I was bound by lesbianism. I was blinded. I was on the other side. But Jesus set me free. Charlie stood up for 30 years. I was empty. I was molested at the age of four years old by an 18-year-old boy. Opened up my mind to confusion and set me on a road of perversion. But Jesus set me free. Hallelujah. When you are not afraid to give your testimony. Why? Because the Bible says in the book of Revelation, they took the land. How? By the blood of the lamb and the power of their testimony. Thank you. You know, John was put in prison. Do you know why he was put in prison? It’s because he preached against sin. You see, the woman that the king was with, Herodias was her name, and Herodias, she was offended because she was sitting pretty good with the guy that was in charge. I mean, he was taking good care of her. She wasn’t thinking about her husband. She was sitting there like a little queen, and she’s thinking she’s all that and a bag of chips. But you know what? She is so angry inside because she’d just been busted. You see, when you preach the truth, people get angry. I don’t know about you. You don’t want to be told you’re a liar. Somebody tells you you’re a liar. You’re a pervert. You don’t want to be told that. Rawr! Something comes up inside of you. You don’t want to be told you’re proud. You don’t want to be told you’re arrogant. We don’t like the truth. The human nature hates the truth. So when John said, you have your brother’s wife, Herodias, Her heart was brewing and brewing day after day. John the Baptist, who does he think he is? Who does that man think he is? So all of a sudden, you know what? She knows the king’s got a problem with lust. Why? Because she caught him by lust. Be careful, men. Be careful, men. I share with our team before we even get there, men, women are going to be half naked. Look above them. Do not give your heart or your eyes over to them because if you do, you will fall. Don’t open your heart to that. Keep your eyes above because butts and boobs are all around. And if you had a problem with any kind of lust, don’t give in. Turn around. Walk away. Look at somebody else and witness to somebody else. Why did I do that? Guard. Be on guard. Guard your heart. Guard your mind. Guard your soul. Guard your salvation. Amen? So you see, Herodias knew what touched the king. She knew that he had a problem with lust because she captivated him. She caught him with her lust. She wiggled her wiggle-womp and wiggled her boobs, and she caught him, and he yielded to her. So guess what she did? She has a beautiful daughter, and Herodias goes to the daughter. The king is having a party. I want you to do me a favor, darling. I want you to go before the king, and I want you to wiggle your womp, shake your boobs, and captivate him, would ya? And you know what? Guess what? Herodias stood back. What a scum bucket she was, wasn’t she? She’s sending her daughter out there like a little trap. Go on, wiggle, little worm, wiggle, would ya? You know, so all of a sudden, there is Herodias’ daughter. She’s out there moving her body. An old pervert who’s got a problem with lust. Nah. Oh, man. She’s so beautiful. He’s just caught up like stupid. He doesn’t know it’s like a snare, the Bible says. He’s like an ox going to slaughter, but he has no clue. Proverbs tells us that. But you know what? She wiggles her womp, she does her thing, and guess what? Guess what the king does? She’s so beautiful. Oh, tell me what you want. You know, see, Herodias didn’t think that the king would end up taking her. The king would end up taking her own daughter. Herodias didn’t care. All Herodias thought was about herself. But guess what? The king called her over and said, what do you want? I’ll give you anything to have in my kingdom. Are you kidding me? I’ll give you anything. Just keep wiggling. Oh, keep dancing. You see, lust is a demon. It’s a demon. So guess what she did? She went, I’ll be right back. Mom, mom, the king said I could have up to half the kingdom. What do you want me to ask? Do you want me to get gold? Do you want me to get riches? Do you want me to get a palace? What do you want me to get? And guess what mom said? Give me John the Baptist’s head on a platter. I want it on a silver platter. Why? Because the hatred and the bitterness and all that junk was inside of her heart. So guess what? The daughter runs back. Wiggle, wiggle, womp, womp. Wiggle, wiggle, womp, womp. And she runs back to the king. And she says, I want John the Baptist’s head. I want him on a platter. Wiggle, wiggle, womp, womp. And guess what? The king said. He was sorrowful. He realized how stupid I’ve been. Oh my gosh. But because of his pride, he couldn’t back down. Because of all the men that were there and all those that were in authority saw him. So guess what he did? Oh, he was sorrowful. The Bible says he was sorrowful. He just felt, oh, what did I do? What did I, oh no. Because he knew that John the Baptist was a holy man. But guess what he did? He told the soldiers, go to the prison. My heart goes out for John. You know why? Because John’s in prison and he sends the disciples. They come to see John and John says, do me a favor. Go back and ask Jesus if he’s the one. Go ask him. This way I know. I want to know. I want to make sure. I’m willing to lay down my life, but I want to make sure he’s the one. So guess what? They ran over to Jesus and they said, John’s in prison. And they asked us to come and ask you, are you the one? Are you the Messiah? And Jesus said these words, go tell him what you see. The blind see the lame walk. The deaf are healed. Go tell him. And they went back to tell John. And you know what John was willing to do when those soldiers came into that prison? And they put John the Baptist on his knees. John willfully put his head out. And they chopped off his head. And they picked it up and put it on a silver platter. And they brought it over there. He was the forerunner for Jesus. He was not ashamed of the gospel. He preached the gospel. He preached the word of repentance. Jesus preached his first sermon repentance and they brought that silver platter over to the Herodias here you go to the king can you imagine do not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ every single powerful man or woman of God Deborah led an army into battle why because she had the anointing of God upon her life She said, you know what? God said for you to take it. You know what the general said? I’m not going if you ain’t going, Deborah. And Deborah said, well, if I go, then let you know that you’re going to take the land by a woman. The general was smart. I don’t care. Let’s go. I’m not going without you. Every single powerful man and woman of God have given their life for this gospel. Isaiah, do you know what happened to Isaiah? He was in the time of Manasseh. Manasseh was an evil, wicked ruler against God. They captured the powerful prophet, and they put him in a hollow log, and they sawed the log in half. They literally cut him right in half. Paul, Stephen’s first sermon. How would you like to be killed the first sermon? Wouldn’t that be terrible to ask you to go on an outreach and all of a sudden, like Stephen, Stephen preached his first sermon and they said, oh, stone him. They brought out stones and they killed him right there. But Stephen fell to his knees and looked up into heaven and said, behold, I see the heavens open. And I see God sitting at the right. I see Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. And right there, the stones came and killed him. You see, you’ve got to be willing to stand when no one else will. You’ve got to be able. You know, I told Jesus 43 years ago at an altar, whatever it takes, God, I will lay down my life for you. And I meant it. From that day that I went to that altar, I went to the altar in the far corner, and I said, Jesus, I worked hard for the devil, but I didn’t know it. So I’m going to lay down my life for you. Whatever you want from me, I’ll do. And I meant that 43 years ago. You see, God is calling men and women. God is calling. I am so proud of you guys that went out there to preach. I am so proud of you. You see, God has a heartbeat for the world. But if all we have is religion and all we tell them is God loves you and let them still go to hell, then God have mercy on us. Amen? You see, we have to reach the lost. We have to reach the harvest. We have to get out there and reach one soul at a time. Somebody say, reach one soul at a time. Jesus was the greatest example of evangelism. Do you know that? He was a great evangelist. In Matthew 4, verse 18, it said Jesus was walking By what? He was walking by the Sea of Galilee and he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and Andrew, casting a net into the sea. They were fishermen. But you know what he said? He said, come and follow me and I will make you fishers of men. You see, when you’re about your father’s business, God will take care of you. God is still calling people. Somebody say amen. He’s asking, will you follow me? Will he allow you? Will you allow him to use you? He’s calling. He’s calling powerful men and women. Jesus said in Luke chapter 19, verse 10, for the son of man has come to seek and to save the lost. Do you know what it’s going to cost you to save the lost? It’s going to cost you. You have to deny yourself. Do you know how hard it is to walk up to a perfect stranger and say, you know, I like our brother, the Roman road. I like that. That’s the first thing I learned. The Roman road is so powerful. I learned how to weave. This is our track. We had 250,000 of these printed up. We went across the entire United States of America, from San Diego clear to the East Coast with our track, 250 chairs, our tent, and everywhere we went, we passed out tracks. And we pitched our tent and we preached the gospel. Then we came back, regrouped, loaded again with my Jesus truck, and I used to have a great big Jesus trailer, loaded it up, and went up the West Coast, all the way up, up to Washington, all the way across Montana, all the way to New Mexico, Colorado, all the four corners, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, into Michigan, everywhere we went. And I taught our team. I said, you know what? You’ve got to learn the Roman road. You’ve got to learn how to say your testimony. You know how you learn the Roman road? You say, you know what? I didn’t know that all had sinned. I didn’t know that all have fallen short of the glory of God. I was lost just the same. What Romans is that? That’s Roman right here. Romans 3, 23. And then I didn’t know that the wages of sin was death, but the gift of God was eternal life. I didn’t know that I was on the road to hell. You see, the Romans road is so powerful when you weave that into your testimony. That’s Romans 6, verse 23. Then you read the other one. But you know, I didn’t know that while God demonstrated his love for me while I was yet a sinner, I didn’t know that I was going to hell and God loved me and he gave his life on that cross. He demonstrated his love towards me that while I was a sinner going straight to hell, that Jesus died to help me to get on the road to eternal life. I didn’t know that. And I didn’t know that if I would confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day and I confessed my sins and I would commit my life to him that I could be saved. That’s Romans chapter what? 10 verse 9 and 10. You see, right here is a good way to say your testimony. Right here is a good little track to share Jesus everywhere you go. Jesus is coming. Who are you going to win? Who will you reach? Who will you touch for Jesus? Please tell me who. Please pass those out on that side. Please pass these out on this side. Who will you reach? Who will you reach for Jesus? Who will you touch for Christ? Here, Tom, pass these out on that side. Who will you reach? You see, the king is coming. The rapture’s gonna happen soon. The rapture’s gonna happen. Some may say the rapture is what God’s gonna call his church home. A lot of people don’t understand that, because they don’t understand the word. The rapture is coming. That means that God is going to take his church, his faithful believers, he’s going to take them up. His faithful believers and the others will be left behind. This is what we have to do. We have to warn people. We have to tell them. Amen? Pastor Jill, I need to pray for this young lady. Daniel, bring me a chair. Precious Lee, please come forward. Please come forward. Lee’s been diagnosed with stage four of cancer in her lungs. She needs a miracle. Only God can do a miracle. Hallelujah. Miss Edna, do you have your anointing oil? Can I please? Every cell, every bone, every muscle, every tissue, the blood of Jesus, healing by the power of the blood of Jesus. We curse the assignment of cancer. Satan, you are defeated by the blood of the Lamb. We break your yoke in Jesus’ name. We bind your works up in the name of Jesus. Father, thank you for her healing. Thank you for her deliverance. Thank you for her faith. Thank you, Lord. She will breathe. Cancer, you will have no place in the name of Jesus. We’ll lose the power of the blood of Jesus Christ over her lungs, over her heart, and over her mind. Be healed in Jesus’ name. In the name of Jesus. In Jesus’ name. And all God’s people said, Amen. Amen. We’re going to have a victory report. Amen? We’re going to have a victory report in Jesus’ name. Amen. Vicki, if you can please, you and Danny, if you guys can both come up here.
