Cherri Campbell shares her passion for truth in the concluding message of ‘What is the Word? Truth’. Referencing scriptures like 2 Timothy and 1 Corinthians, she addresses the pervasiveness of deception in both secular and spiritual realms. Through vivid illustrations and clear scriptural teachings, Cherri emphasizes the importance of embracing divine enlightenment. Listeners are encouraged to absorb the light of the gospel and guard against the growing shadows of falsehood. This discourse challenges Christians to remain steadfast in God’s truth as a bulwark against the pervasive deceptions of end times.
SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Praise the Lord. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, we are going to continue and conclude the message I was sharing with you last week that I preached in a series of messages in our Victorious Faith services called, What is the Word? And this message number two is called, What is the Word? Truth. So join me now in our live service for the conclusion of this message, part two, What is the Word? Truth. 2 Timothy 4, 3 and 4, Paul is prophesying about the end times. We are in the time. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine, even in Christianity. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. There are, unfortunately, preachers who will say what people want to hear rather than what the Bible really says. They want to live in sin, so the preacher will say, okay, it’s all right. They will turn their ears away from what? The truth. And turn aside to miss. We’re living in the time. That time is now here when men do not put up with sound doctrine. They do not desire the truth. They turn their ears away from the truth. You need to be one if you want the victory of God, the anointing, the power, and the blessing of God in your life. Seek the truth. Pursue it at all costs. Put it as the highest priority, the most valuable thing in your life. Because it will produce everything else in your life that you need. All the things you’re trying to… That’s what Matthew 6.33 is all about. The people in this world are going after the things what they will eat, what they’re going to drink, what they’re going to wear. Don’t you be like them. You seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. What you’re going to eat, what you’re going to drink, what you’re going to wear. Your work, all of it will be taken care of for you if you’ll seek first the kingdom. Because God will bring it all together for you in it. And so if you seek the first kingdom, seek his word, seek the truth, seek revelation… then all the other things will come into place because truth will be light and it will change everything for you. You need to desire and seek the truth with all of your heart. And it’s the word of God. It’s the hidden treasures in his word. Lost people and people living in sin, including Christians living in sin, are deceived. 1 Corinthians 6 to 11 says, do not be deceived. And then it goes on and it lists a whole bunch of sins, different sins. People living in sin are deceived. And I don’t have time. So you need to read these notes. Read through the rest of these scriptures. I’m just going to highlight the rest of the points. But people living in sin are living in sin because they’re deceived. Lost people are lost because they are deceived. Galatians 6, 7, and 8, do not be deceived. Titus 3, 3 through 5, at one time we were foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. So the disobedient, those who are enslaved, even by addictions, drug addiction, smoking, alcohol, pornography, illicit relationships, If they’re enslaved by passions and pleasures, it’s because they are deceived. And then it goes on, read the rest of the verses there, verses 3 through 5. I want to read 2 Corinthians 4, 3 through 6. And even if our gospel is veiled, notice that. It’s veiled. It’s hidden. It is. God chose to hide it so that those who really want it will seek it. It’s veiled, but it’s not a hard veil to break through. All you have to do is say, show me. I want it. And the veil can be removed just like that. It’s not a mystery that is hard to figure out. It’s just something that has to be desired. In other words, okay, I see it, Lord. Like in the old testament, they had the curtain. And behind the curtain was the Ark of the Covenant, the presence of God. Now, of course, the priests were not allowed to go beyond that curtain. When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain, the veil was torn from top to bottom. Meaning the way into that most holy place, that’s where the Ark of the Covenant was. That was the presence of God. It’s like the throne room of God on earth. But he’s no longer there because now he dwells in us. But at that time before Jesus died, he was there. And God ripped open that curtain so that everybody can go in. All right. So that is the curtain. All you have to do is say, Lord, show me and part the curtain and you just enter in. You seek it. So all you have to do is seek and desire. Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The God of this age, that is Satan, the devil. The devil has blinded the minds of unbelievers and Christians, some Christians. So they cannot see the light. There’s the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ is Lord and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God who said, this is it. God said, let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts. What is that? Revelation. The light shining in our heart is revelation. To give us the light of the knowledge, you could say the revelation knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. Now that verse actually tells us how we can pray for the lost. How to pray for lost people. How to pray for Christians who are in bondage and deceived. The way to pray for the lost, including lost loved ones, or including Christians who are deceived, pray that they receive the light of the truth in their hearts. And then take authority. This is Matthew 18, 18, binding on earth. Whatever you bind on earth, Jesus said, will be bound in heaven. Bind lies and deception away from the hearts and minds of those who are deceived. And then loose, release the light of God and his truth and the Holy Spirit to shine in their hearts. Bind away lies and deception. Lose the light of the knowledge of the truth in their hearts and minds. And I use the blood of Jesus. Apply the blood with your words. Just say, Lord, I apply the blood over their heart and their mind, their eyes and their ears. So they will see and hear, know and understand and believe the truth. Satan, I bind you and I silence your lies and your deceptions. I cut you off from them in Jesus’ name. They will not be influenced by you. They are only influenced by God. I cover them in the blood of Jesus, and I speak light into their hearts and into their minds in Jesus’ name. That’s the way to pray for the lost and for Christians who are deceived. One of the biggest signs of the end times is rampant deception. Remember in Luke 21, remember all the signs of the earthquakes? And everything that disciples said, teacher, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign they are about to take place? And he’s going to say earthquakes and wars and rumors of wars. But before he said that, he said, what will be the sign they are about to take place? He said, watch out that you are not deceived. Deception is the sign that comes before the end, the great deception, because even the Antichrist comes bringing deception, the biggest lying deception, calling himself the Christ, the Antichrist. So deception has to grow in the end times for the Antichrist to be able to come out and say, I’m God, and everybody to believe him. I mean, they’re just duped. But they had to gradually get duped to swallow the biggest of all deceptions. The biggest of all deceptions. They had to gradually get more and more deceived and more duped. So that means leading up to the Antichrist, we’re in a time of deception more and more and more and more and more and more. The whole world is in darkness. God, we’re praying for God to shine the light in our hearts and in the hearts of our loved ones. Deception is the sign and the warning not to be deceived. It’s a sign of the end times. And then those who do not love the truth will be deceived and perish. The wrath of God is being revealed against all godlessness and the wickedness of men who suppress the truth. And verse 21, their foolish hearts were darkened. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and they perish. So they will perish. There’ll be those who are deceived and deceived and deceived, and they’re going to end up perishing. If you don’t want to perish, grab on to the truth. Romans 2.8, but for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth, there are people who reject. You tell them the truth. This is the truth. They say, I don’t want it. I don’t want it. Take that and go somewhere else. Then there will be wrath and anger. 2 Thessalonians 2.10 and 12, they perish because they refuse to love the truth. All will be condemned who have not believed the truth, but have delighted in wickedness. So stay out of that camp, those who reject truth or refuse to love it even. Man, there are Christians in that group. They don’t necessarily purposely outright reject truth. They just don’t love it. And because they don’t love it, they are victims of deception. They’re easily duped because they don’t love the truth, seek the truth, pursue the truth. So deception comes and they swallow it. And they’re deceived. So they perish because they don’t love the truth. You need to love the truth. And I’m going to throw out here just real briefly, love the truth even in politics. Just say that. A lot of what’s out there is lies. A lot of what’s out there on the news is propaganda and lies. You’re going to have to seek truth when it comes to politics. Because it’s not obvious. It’s not in the forefront screaming because it’s being hidden. It’s being covered up by the lies and the deception of Satan, the god of this world. The truth is being hidden in the news media, in all the propaganda, in the political realm. So if you want to know the truth, you’re really going to need to seek it because it’s not out there blaring at you. All right, finally, walking in the truth pleases God. 3 John 1.4. And this is not just John speaking. This is God talking. God says, God says to you, my children, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth, in the truth. And let me go back to the top of page two in the notes. 3 John 1.3. Again, it’s a letter of John. It goes right with this 3 John 1.4. I want to go back 3 John 1.3. It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth. And how you continue to walk in the truth. That’s 3 John 1.3. You are faithfulness to the truth. You continue to walk in the truth. And then the last verse we read, 3 John 1.4. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. John talks about love and John talks about truth in his letters. And he’s trying to show the truth. We should be faithful to the truth. Seek the truth. Love the truth. Hold on to the truth. Pursue the truth. And walk in it. Amen. Hallelujah. What you just heard was the conclusion of a message that I preached in a series of messages in our victorious faith services called What is the Word? And this message number two is called What is the Word? Truth. And we will begin message number three tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow and remember God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
