SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. This morning we are going to continue and conclude the message I’ve been sharing with you in the last several broadcasts that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Going to the Next Level. And I hope and I believe this message is blessing you and inspiring you. So join me now in our live service for the conclusion of this message, Going to the Next Level. Before I went to the mission field in the mid 90s, God directed us to move to Fort Worth, Texas for a few years. And when I went down there, I went ahead of my parents. God said, don’t contact anybody. Listen to me and I will direct you. And he said, this will be practice for when you go to the mission field. Learning to hear my voice. So I got down there. I drove myself. I drove alone. I mean, to Fort Worth. I arrived on Wednesday afternoon and I knew where I was going to church. I was going to the ministry there. And that was my training ground for the next four years. And so I arrived in the city on Wednesday afternoon. I knew they had a church service Wednesday night. So I checked into the hotel and I went to church that night. And then that night they announced that there was a prayer meeting the next morning. So I got up and I went to the prayer meeting the next day. After the prayer meeting, we did have a friend working in the ministry and the Holy Spirit prompted me to have lunch with her. So I called her and said, can we have lunch? Are you available? She said, yes. She brought a friend. We had lunch. This friend told me about another ministry meeting that evening at the church I had not known about. Neither did my friend know about. I said, okay, I’ll go. I went to that meeting Thursday night. Now the Holy Spirit had prompted me in my spirit, a witness that when I arrived there, he said, Cherry, you will be in a hotel for two nights. By the third night, you’ll have a place to stay. And yet it was not by contacting any friends or any friends of my parents or family who knew me, who would just say, come to my house. It was going to be a way that God supernaturally arranged. I was not supposed to contact anybody. And he said, in my heart, I knew two nights in a hotel. By the third night, I would have a place to stay. Okay, Wednesday night passed. Then I went to the prayer meeting. Then I went to lunch, met the friend. The friend tells me about a meeting Thursday night. I go to the church Thursday night. I happened to sit next to a lady from Colorado. And we started talking. And then the meeting started. And so we stopped talking and we’re enjoying the meeting. At the end of the meeting, she taps me on the shoulder and she says, Cherry, I feel the Lord is telling me to invite you to come stay with me. She was a single woman. She had another bedroom. I said, thank you. Let me pray about it. Even though it was an opportunity, even though it was two nights, I wanted to know if this was God. So I said, thank you. Let me pray about it. So I went back to the hotel Thursday night, the second night. The next morning, I checked out of the hotel because I knew God said I would have a place by that night. So I checked out of the hotel. I don’t know my way around the city. I get on the freeway, and I’m just driving, kind of heading towards the ministry and finding my way. And the Holy Spirit, take this exit, go to that gas station and call her. This was before cell phones. And go to the gas station and call her. So I pulled off, went in the gas station, had her phone number, and I called her. And I said, Hi, how are you doing? And she said… I’m doing well. And she said, the Lord is still telling me to invite you to come stay with me. I said, I know this is the Lord then. And so I met her after work. And by that night, Friday night, I was staying in her home. So it’s steps. You see how I went to service. And then I went to the prayer meeting and then I went to lunch and I met a lady and she told me about another meeting. And then I met another woman. You see, it can be those little steps and you’re waiting for some explosive vision from God and something like a TV screen that tells you what to do. And God says, go to this prayer meeting. But if you miss that prayer meeting, you could be missing the next step to his plan fulfilled in your life. So what it means is steps. It can be little steps. If you’ve got a dream to go on a mission trip, even to go to another country, get your passport. You can’t go. I’m leaving in three weeks. I already had my passport and my India visa. I had a long-term India visa. I could not have gone in three weeks if there was no passport and no visa. But because I was ready, no problem. Just whip it out and I’m ready to go. But if God was to call you and you have it in your heart that you’re supposed to do something like that, be ready. Be ready because some things can open up quickly and you’ve got to be ready to turn on a dime. And God is saying, are you ready to go next week? Well, if you had everything in order, you would be. And so some things are just taking the little steps of getting ready, doing what you know to do. To be physically prepared for something. I mean, I’m using the missionary example, but it could be starting a business. It could be, you know, taking a vacation or whatever it is. But have you taken steps to actually start preparing yourself for it? So that if God opened it up and next week it was going to happen, you’d be ready to do it. Or would you miss the opportunity because, oh, I got to hurry and get ready. I mean, think of those virgins that… slept until the bridegroom came and then they weren’t ready to go in. So there is the readiness. that you have to be ready, and that means taking steps. And you’re not gonna know the whole plan. This is another thing, let me add, that God does not tell you, you’re gonna go here, do this, you’re gonna meet this person, and that person is gonna, you’re gonna go to church, you’re gonna go to prayer meeting, you’re gonna meet this lady, she’s gonna invite you here, and then you’re gonna meet this woman. God didn’t tell me all that. I had no idea that that was what was gonna happen. And so if you’re waiting to see the whole plan laid out and say, okay, God, I’m not gonna do anything until I, what are you gonna do? How is this gonna happen? God is not going to show you how it’s going to happen. You’re going to have to walk it out step by step by step. And so those steps take faith. Those steps take obedience. Those steps take faith. Those steps take obedience. And so. Be willing to take steps here and obey. And I just want to give you this Genesis 12, one through four. The Lord had said to Abram, leave your country, your people, your father’s house and go to the land. I will show you. He didn’t say, show me now, God, I’m not going until you let me know where am I going? No, he left not knowing where. Can you imagine, I mean, back in that time, leaving his whole family and everybody behind, not knowing where he was going to go? The Bible says he didn’t know where he was going to go. He just went sojourning. Sojourning is like wandering until God says, this is the spot. That’s the faith of Abraham. And he stepped out and he obeyed. I mean, just think about Abraham talking to his family. I mean, these people were idol worshipers, moon God worshipers. And he tells his family, I’ve heard from God. Oh, really? Which God? The moon God or this other God? No, none of those. Those never talked to me. This was a different God that we’ve not known. We’ve not known this God, but he spoke to me. He spoke to you. Gods don’t talk. Maybe you just didn’t sleep well. Gods don’t speak. But this one spoke to me. Okay, then. Well, what did he tell you? He told me to leave my father’s house. What? Are you crazy? Now you are really getting some crazy ideas. Leave your father’s house. You know, if you go out from here, you are endangered. Okay, then where are you going? I don’t know. Oh, so now you’ve heard a voice of a God that we’ve never known before that tells you to leave us and doesn’t tell you where you’re going. And he says, Abraham says, yes, and I have to go. I have to go. That’s why Abraham is the father of our faith. That’s it. Because he didn’t know where he was going. You read about him in Hebrews 11. He didn’t know where he was going. He went sojourning. He followed a God that he did not know until God made himself known. Of course, God made himself known. He said, I am God and I’ll make a covenant with you. But he followed him. And God said, I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you. And verse four, Genesis 12, four. So Abram left as the Lord had told him. He left not knowing where he was going. So when you hear a direction from God, be quick to obey and follow because God will bless you in every step that you take in obedience to him. And he will fulfill the purpose and the plan. He will fulfill the calling. He will fulfill the dream. He will fulfill the vision when you follow him step by step. In Ephesians 3.20, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. And the Amplified says above all that you dare ask, think, dream, or imagine. Above your highest thoughts, prayers, or dreams. According to the power that worketh in us. What’s the power in us? The word and the Holy Spirit. By his word and spirit in you, you can do the supernatural. We are not mere men. Paul kept telling the churches, don’t act like mere men. We’re not. We are supernatural beings. We are new creations, new species that never existed because we’ve got the spirit of God in us. We are supernatural beings that we can hear God and we can do the works of God. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Let’s pray. Father, I thank you for your words tonight. teaching us how to go to the next level, how to obey you, how to follow you, how to hear your voice, how to dream, how to know to take steps and when to act and be led by your spirit, Lord. It’s all being led by the spirit and being taught by the spirit and your word together. We thank you, Father, for sharing with us these things. And Father, I pray. That as these words have been coming tonight, that everyone in this room has related to this word, knowing that you have spoken to them already. That you’ve already given them dreams and visions. You’ve already put plans in their heart and that they are to pursue it in faith. and in your word and in prayer and knowing confidently that he who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it. Lord, those works that you have called us to do and you’ve started in us, you will be faithful to complete these good works in us so that we can say, like Paul, I have finished the race. Lord, we will, each one, finish all that you call us to do Because we can hear your voice and we follow you. We thank you, Father. You are the one who does it. He who calls you is faithful and he will do it. God is the faithful God. Just rely on him. Just trust him. Lean on him. Listen and follow, and he will bring it to pass. God will bring it to pass, that thing he has given to you. Thank you, Father. We give you all the praise, all the glory, and all the honor in Jesus’ name. And everyone said, Amen. Praise God.
