SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Praise Brings the Victory. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, Praise Brings the Victory. God ordained in Leviticus chapter 23, the seven feasts that the Israelites were supposed to celebrate every year. And there were the three in the spring. There was Passover and unleavened bread and first fruits. And then 50 days later, there was the Feast of Pentecost. And then in the fall feasts, there is the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles and Trumpets. And anyway, the word festival, the word festival is in Leviticus 2341. Leviticus 2341. Celebrate this as a festival to the Lord. for seven days. So they actually came together and had a festival celebration for seven days. This was the Feast of Tabernacles. And the word festival, one of the words for festival in the Hebrew, means to hold a feast or hold a festival, to celebrate, to dance, to stagger, and to reel. Well, that sounds like a drunkard. Well, they would get so high on praise that they would be like drunk men. I mean, even David sounded like that when he went out praising before the ark. And it really does. There’s a saying, there’s no high like the most high. There’s no high like the most high because actually getting into the presence of God and the spirit of God does produce an exhilaration and a high. And if you enter into that in dancing and celebrating and praising, you can get high and drunk. That’s what we call drunk in the spirit. And that’s one of the ways to get drunk in the Spirit, is just to praise yourself drunk. Praise yourself to being drunk in the Spirit. Hallelujah. And there’s another word that I looked up, and that’s the word rejoice. Philippians 4.4 says, Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice. And there’s even scientific evidence that But it’s written in Proverbs 17, 22. A joyful heart is good medicine. A joyful heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17, 22. And it has even been proven, I’ve heard about anyway, that there have been even people with cancer that left themselves to healing. They just would put on… I heard where one person just put on comedies. In order to laugh all day long. And they laughed and they laughed and they laughed to health. They laughed their way to health. But actually it is scientifically proven that laughter and joy produces a healing chemical in the body. It is actually fact. There is a healing chemical that is released during laughter time. That is why people who are joyful and that laugh more, they factually are more healthy. Hallelujah. And so there are words about rejoice, to exalt, be glad, to be joyful, marry and display joy and to be overcome with joy, to shout for joy, give a ringing cry in joy or exaltation. To praise or sing out for joy. Hallelujah. And then the word shout is all the way through the Old Testament. And many times it was connected with praise. Shout unto the Lord with the voice of triumph. Shout and praise him. And so the main word for shout means to split the ears. To split the ears. Wow. That’s loud. And it is kind of got a two-sided meaning. One is to blow an alarm, sound a trumpet or shofar, and to sound a signal for war. And that’s where we’re talking about. I’m getting into praise is a weapon. Praise is a weapon because this actually means war. To sound a signal for war. And I’m going to get back to these examples in a minute. But then Psalm 47, 1 also to shout means to shout in applause and to raise a cry exulting out loud over a conquered enemy. In other words, this is for the triumph that has already been made. To raise a cry, exulting out loud over a conquered enemy. And it also means to destroy. So this is an active word showing that praise will actually destroy the enemy. And in Psalm 47, one, it says, Oh, clap your hands. All you people shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Another word for shout means to screech exultingly. And another word means to creak or emit a stridulous sound. To shout for joy, cry out, be joyful, rejoice, sing for joy, and triumph. And then another word means to clamor. And it means the battle cry, acclamation of joy, blowing of trumpets, jubilee. high and joyful sounding. And these are words that God used again and again and again through the Old Testament. And so I want to show you that we use praise as a weapon also for the victory. In Psalm 8-2, Psalm 8-2, in the King James Version, it says, “…out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength.” because of thine enemies, that you might still the enemy and the Avenger. It says you have ordained strength. However, that word strength can also be translated praise. And for one thing in Matthew 21, Jesus quoted this Matthew 21, 16 says, And the Pharisees said to him, do you not hear what these are saying? And Jesus said unto them, have you never read out of the mouth of babes and sucklings? That has perfected praise. So Jesus quoted Psalm 82, but he changed the word strength to praise. And that is also a correct translation in various translations of the Bible. The Darby, which is a literal translation. The Douay Rhymes, a very literal translation of the Latin Vulgate and the Septuagint. And the Septuagint was the Jewish translators translating from Hebrew to Greek. And so they translated that word as praise. The Jewish translators translated that word as praise. So anyway, that word can be exchanged for praise. And so you read it like this. Thou hast ordained praise because of your enemies to still the enemy and the Avenger. And the word enemy there is actually the word Tsar. T-S-A-R. And you also get the Russian Tsar, C-Z-A-R, and Caesar, the Roman Caesar. All of these words actually mean enemy. And it means to bind, to cause distress, and to besiege. And then it says to still the enemy. The word still, the enemy, means to cause, to cease, and to desist. To put an end to, to exterminate and to destroy. So praise will still the enemy. Praise will cause the enemy to cease and desist and it will exterminate and destroy the enemy and the avenger. So we have all these scriptures that show praise as a weapon. And then back to what I said earlier, having done all to stand, stand. Therefore, the greatest act of standing is in praising and giving thanks while you are waiting and standing in faith to believe God for something. You actually give praise and thanks for what you have asked for before you see it. And you are supposed to rejoice and shout like you’ve already got it. And so how would you react? I know how I react. I screech. How would you react if you got a check for $100,000 in the mail? I would screech and howl and shout hallelujah. And I’d jump up and down and run around. Right? That’s what I would do. Well, faith will do that in the same manner, in the same excitement and joy before you get the $100,000 or whatever it is you’re believing for. Before you get the thing you’re believing for, you’re going to rejoice and shout. Hallelujah. I got it before you see it. Before you see it. Amen. That’s the act of standing and standing strong is to rejoice before you get it and to just keep rejoicing, keep praising, keep thanking God and don’t quit. Hallelujah. Amen. I want to show you these examples in the Bible where people used praise and it won a powerful victory. Do you remember Jericho? Jericho. Okay. God told them Joshua chapter six. And for sake of time, I’m not going to read it to you. You know it. Joshua chapter six. God told Israel to walk around the walls of Jericho for seven days. And on the seventh day, they should walk seven times around the wall. And then on the seventh time, the priests were to blow the trumpets. And then everybody was supposed to shout. Now, that was the word shout to split the ears. Everybody was to shout a shout that would split the ears. And what was the effect? Those walls came down. That is a physical example of exactly what can happen in your life. When you praise any walls that are in your way, any walls that are a problem to you, you give that shout of praise and you can see those walls come down. Amen. Amen. And then Jehoshaphat in second Chronicles chapter 20, and he was being surrounded by the men of Ammon and Moab and the men from Mount Seir. They were coming up against the people of Judah and Jerusalem and they were being surrounded and they were outnumbered. And so Jehoshaphat, King Jehoshaphat led all the people of Judah and Jerusalem to pray and fast and What you just heard was the continuation of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called Praise Brings the Victory.
