SPEAKER 03 :
On this encore show, Darren and I encourage you that God is there for you no matter what is going on in your life. And Darren quotes Corrie Ten Boom, who said, There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still. When Joyce calls, she gives the scripture in 1 Corinthians 3.21 that all things belong to you. and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. Jeremiah 32, 17 tells you that nothing is too difficult for God, who made the heavens and the earth by His great power. He wants you to not only know the scriptures, but experience the rhema and the power of the verse in Psalm 33, O Lord, how my adversaries have increased and surrounded me, but Thou, O Lord, are a shield about me. You’re the glory and the lifter of my head. Now let’s join the program.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right here at the top of the broadcast, we are going to share portions of a letter with you. But I’d like to pray right now that God will maximize our time here on the air today. And I know he can do that. I believe he will do that. I love to pray because, and I don’t say this flippantly, but God hears and answers my prayers. And, you know, a couple of days ago, it was like new information to me, Barbara, and it shouldn’t be. It was like the Lord says, you know, I listen to your show every day.
SPEAKER 03 :
last night and he might have hit me for the first time. Holy Spirit listens to our program every day. Watch your mouth. The Lord listens.
SPEAKER 06 :
He’s every place all the time. That came as a shock to me too. He says, you know, I listen to your show every day. I thought, wow. Boy, the ratings ought to go up with that, shouldn’t they? Well, let’s pray. Father, I really thank you for listening to this show. You listen to every show. In fact, you are a partner to every conversation. You’re every place at all times. You’re all wisdom, all knowing. And you’re all over the place. There’s no place that we can go and you’re not there. There’s no pit so deep that you’re not there. In fact, you’re beneath us. Any pit we’re in, you’re down there further than we are. You’re higher than we are no matter how high we get. So I thank you that you have such an immediate relationship with us and you take such good care of us. So help us to know that you’re just there. You’re there all the time. And even when we’re not conscious of your presence, you’re there. So today I’m asking you to help our friends that are listening today. Some are grievously stricken with emotional pain and spiritual pain and physical pain. And I’m asking you to be there, to be that painkiller today, to remove the source of the pain. Show them what it is. Show them how to pray. And Holy Spirit, pray through them that perfect prayer that comes from the very heart of God. Father, I thank you that you’re a God of love. You’re not a God of slavery. You’re not a God of force. You’re a God of love. Thank you very much, Father God, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Let’s talk to Joyce.
SPEAKER 07 :
Hi, how are you all?
SPEAKER 06 :
I remember you. How are you?
SPEAKER 07 :
I just wonder if you’ll indulge me just for a moment more regarding, well, it’s not directly associated with the subject we talked about.
SPEAKER 03 :
Joyce, there’s something beeping. Is there? Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
Can you call us back on another line?
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 06 :
Would you do that? We’ve got a bad hookup here.
SPEAKER 07 :
And maybe this phone that’s ringing here, does that matter?
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, go for it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Is that okay? Yeah, it sounds like, yeah, we’re through with that. Okay, good.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, if you’ll just indulge me one minute about the subject we talked about yesterday. I just wanted to mention that, you know, there is great wisdom in what you were sharing about… The Princess Diana situation and the overall thing with the connection with the Muslims and all of that, that possible influence could have been there, and that was corroborated by Jack, the guy who called in. And there was wisdom there, and there was a degree of comfort that that brought to my heart. But in knowing that if the father dealt with the overall picture, then certainly he didn’t forget that little sparrow, which was… Diana Salvation.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 07 :
And just believed that and just needed him to confirm that to my heart that she did, that somebody did get through to her with the gospel. You know, because it’s such a painful thought to think about the turbulent life she lived and the tragic ending to it and then to think about her spending an eternity in hell was just more than my big heart could take.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, that’s why I think that’s why so many people are grieving. Yeah. Because they want her to, if they do believe in a heaven, if they do believe in the God, they want her to be in a far better place. Oh, in heaven. Finally. Yes, that’s correct.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay, and that’s not my point at the moment, but there was great wisdom in that overall thing. But what’s bearing on my heart this morning is kind of a takeoff from that, that I mentioned something yesterday about the fact that, you know, when people are in kind of celebrity status and in that place, that there’s a tendency for people to forget what’s most important, and that has to do with their salvation and the fact that those people need Jesus. And out of that comes a real exhortation, admonishment, warning to the body of Christ in terms of this, that we are right on the brink of stepping into a supernatural of the glory of God.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, hallelujah.
SPEAKER 07 :
And the reason that it becomes so critical is that in terms of not getting caught up with people, the glory surrounding them, and not forgetting to pray is because there’s a tendency in human nature to get so caught up in the glamour and the glitter of everything that we forget to pray. That’s right. And we need to be cautioned and warned that as the glory of God starts to be manifest and to be outpoured in just a big way… not to forget to pray for our leaders and those people that the glory is being manifested through. Not to get caught up in the vessels, but to remember who the source of the glory is and to not forget to pray for each other. You know, Ephesians 6, 18 talks about praying with all manner of supplication and prayer for all of the saints. And in Timothy… it talks about praying again for all of the saints. So we cannot be neglectful. And my just encouragement and exhortation to the body of Christ is don’t let us forget to pray, number one, and neglect obedience when it comes to this hour that we’re moving in. And don’t get caught up with the glimmer and the glamour of it. And also that in 1 Corinthians 3… It mentions, you know, about not glorying in men, because all are ours. He says in 321, whether it’s Apollos or Paul or whatever it is, all are ours in Christ, and Christ is God. So we don’t get caught up in those things. Don’t forget to pray for each other. Don’t get caught up in the glamour of it. And let’s keep each other’s back covered. And worship the Lord and praise him during this hour is my heart cry. As I look at that situation and realize, wow, my spirit was crying. Lord, did anybody get through to her with the gospel? It’s like there’s a message to the body of Christ. Let’s don’t forget to pray and be neglectful about being obedient.
SPEAKER 06 :
Amen. We couldn’t agree with you more. Well, listen, we appreciate your call, Joyce.
SPEAKER 03 :
Hallelujah. God bless you, dear. God bless you. This is 1 Corinthians 3, 21, 22, and 23 that Joyce was just talking about. All things belong to you. Joyce, you’re absolutely right. All things belong to us. We belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. We must not forget that, and we must not forget to pray for the brotherhood. And that includes the sisters, too, when you pray for the brotherhood. Oh, praise the Lord for people like Joyce that keep us on that track of prayer, being in prayer.
SPEAKER 06 :
She’s a real exhorter and a gift of exhortation there. But I’ll tell you, she has something to say. And folks, I’ll tell you, she backs it up with Scripture.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that’s so important, you know. And we have some letters that come in to us, many, many pages handwritten. They say we’re crying out to God. There’s not one piece of scripture in there. If you want God to hear you, one of the best ways he’ll hear you is you begin to pray the word.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right. Write it down. Stand on the word.
SPEAKER 06 :
Stand on the word. Now, I want to say something to you. Also, you need to decide that you’re going to commit 100 percent to the word of God, not just try it. Not just look at it. Well, you know, this is under consideration. If you want God to respond to you, you need to give him everything that you have. And in first Corinthians four, seven, it says, what do you have that you did not receive? See, in other words, we came into this world really bankrupt and naked and we’re going out of here in the same way. And, you know, you’re not going out of here with anything that you had in this lifetime except the things that are eternal, of eternal value. Salvation, you’re going to have that. Or if you don’t have it, you’re going to have eternal death. You don’t want to go to the lake of fire. And God said, look, I prepared the way. I’ve qualified you. Just sharing the inheritance with the saints in light. I’ve qualified you. Come on. Just recognize your fallen sinful condition and how bankrupt and miserable you are. Accept my son Jesus Christ and you’re in.
SPEAKER 03 :
What a deal. I think the majority of us see that, how bankrupt we are. But the majority of us don’t go on. We stay in that pit and we stay in our tears and our crying and our distress. And God’s not going to hear us there yet, Darren, because… In Psalm 3, for example, David, I take David because this is a man that went through grievous things and yet he says in Psalm 3, and if those of you who are really hurting today, I mean you’re hurting, you’ve cried out to God, take this Psalm, write it down and say, Father God, these are my words to you. Oh Lord, how my adversaries have increased. Many are rising up against me. Many are saying there is no deliverance for him or her. Boy, we get letters that say, you know, there’s no way. There is no way I’m going to be delivered from this. Well, David said the same thing. He said, people are saying there’s no deliverance. But listen to this, Darren. But thou, O Lord, art a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head. I was crying to the Lord with my voice, and he answered me from his holy hill. Why did he answer? Because David was using the praises and the worship of God.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, a couple of times in my life, Barbara, I’ve been in a pit like that where it was between a rock and something hard. And that was a rock above me, below me, and on every side. And that’s when I found my greatest relationship with God break forth. Because I said, I have no other options. God, this word better work. Because you’ve made some profound promises here. And I’ll tell you, I took it to the wall. And the wall was removed. Because the Lord said… So it’s really a good thing when we get in a spot like that.
SPEAKER 03 :
But you had a foundation already. There are some people that are crying out with no foundation. They have no word level at all. And I’m saying, if we just say, Oh, Lord, you’re a shield about me. You’re the glory in the lips of my head. If you just say that today, if you just say, Lord, you’re going to bring me out and you’re going to establish my goings and my comings. That’s Psalm 40. Take some Psalms and read them and write them down and say them all day long. It’s going to bless you. It really is.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, I said to some friends just yesterday, you need some things. Now, God says in his word, all things for which you pray and ask, believe you’re receiving, they should be granted unto you. Now, folks, you need to get acquainted with Mark 11, 24, because those all things include some things that you’ve never received before. So if your back is not just against the wall, it’s in the wall. And I’ve said to people, you’re so far into the wall, you can see the plaster with your peripheral vision. You don’t need to have to move your eyeballs. You can see the wall and you’re stuck in it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. And see, that’s exactly where Satan wants us. Exactly.
SPEAKER 06 :
Now, if you if you declare that there’s just no hope in your circumstance, you stay with that. Let me tell you, I guarantee you, you will get what you say. You will go down the tube, whether it’s an emotional tube, spiritual, financial, emotional, family relationships. But if you cry out to God and when the word says all things for which you pray and ask, believe you receive them. Well, ask him for deliverance until you know that you know that, you know, he’s heard you. And secondly, he’s answered you. And thirdly, that you know that he’s answered you and then hang on to that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Do you know what? Even Oprah Winfrey, even Oprah, this worldly person, knows what gratitude is all about. And she has thousands of people writing in gratitude journals, Darren, five things every day in their journal. That’s wonderful. They’re waking up in the morning and they’re saying, I’m going to be thankful for five things today. Even the very worldly see substance and value in looking at a day with gratitude rather than negativity.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, Barbara, I’ll put you to the test. Give me three. Give me three.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’ll get a puff head if I give three. Give me three. Come on. I’m waiting. I’m thankful for Darren in Denver. I am thankful. Well, first of all, I’m thankful to my God who gets me out of every situation. And Jesus who died on the cross and Holy Spirit who lives in me. That’s number three. Well, come on. You’ve got three. You can get five. And I’m thankful for Darren in Denver. And I’m thankful for our precious friends. Oh, what a support group we have. See how easy that was? Oh, it’s so easy.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I know you. You could give me five more if I pushed you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. Okay, what do you have? Now, today, we got a six-page letter. And that’s why I guess we’ve been talking about this. We got a six-page letter, and it says, in the letter, very first off thing, Darren, you say, God is bigger than any problem I have.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s true, and I’ll say it again.
SPEAKER 03 :
But we cannot rely on what Darren says. And this person has no scripture in this six-page letter.
SPEAKER 06 :
You mean you can’t make Darren the final proof?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, and you can say, Darren, you say, but what we are saying to you is you need to place that word in that place and say the word says, Darren, that nothing is too difficult for God. And that’s Jeremiah 32, 17.
SPEAKER 06 :
And Darren says there’s nothing too difficult for God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely, but we cannot rely on Darren and Barbara’s words. We have got to have the rhema inside of ourselves as believers in Jesus Christ. And when I look, and if you have your Bible with you, turn to Jeremiah 32. Jeremiah is not on vacation in Hawaii here. He is not at Disney World doing the rides. Jeremiah is imprisoned here. And this is right before he’s thrown into this cistern up to his armpits in mud. And here he’s saying, and what God is saying, he goes to Zedekiah the king, and Zedekiah wants to hear all these wonderful words about peace, and we’re going to get through this, and we’re going to rule and reign, and we’re going to be the greatest kingdom on earth. Well, Jeremiah comes and says, God’s going to take everything from you. And Zedekiah hates his words, so he throws him in prison at every opportunity. It’s just a war with words going on here. Right in the middle of all this horrible situation that Jeremiah is in. And talk about impossible, people. This is a young man who didn’t want this, and God put it on him, and he is doing God’s will.
SPEAKER 06 :
You mean God put the job.
SPEAKER 03 :
God put the project on him.
SPEAKER 06 :
God isn’t the one that put him in the pit.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, no, no, no. But he made him a prophet. He gave him prophecy out of his mouth to warn the people if they don’t straighten up and obey God and follow after God, they were going to go into captivity. And so he says in the 16th verse of Jeremiah 32, after I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch, and he was the scribe that wrote everything out on the scrolls, I prayed to the Lord saying, now here, he didn’t pray saying, oh God, I am in prison. I am not getting enough to eat. God, I am so sad. No, he relied on the praises and the worship of God. And he says, Oh, Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched hand. I’m getting so happy. Nothing is too difficult for you. You show loving kindness to thousands and repay the iniquities of fathers into the bosom of their children. He says, Father God, you’re going to take care of me. But the people that are doing me wrong, you’re going to see their iniquities too.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, Barb, if you’re stuck in the mud up to your armpits, somebody’s going to have to help you out. You probably can’t get out on your own.
SPEAKER 04 :
You can’t get out on your own.
SPEAKER 06 :
Even if you had a good handhold on something.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Let’s talk to Jean. How are you doing, Jean?
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m doing great, Dan. Hi. I just got a couple of requests. Wanted to agree with me. Our daughter got a job down in the Denver Tech Center. This is number one. She’s salaried, so she doesn’t get to come home until like later in the evening. That’s why we’ve been having to miss her meetings. Linda’s babysitting, you know. So the first prayer I want is that she can get off in time to get home so we can come to your meetings. Number two, I’m still stuck in that pit on the job situation. A couple of jobs I’ve applied for, just really thought I had them, but right at the last minute didn’t. So I need some agreement in prayer that she’ll start being able to get home earlier and that the Lord’s going to lead me where he wants me and get out of that. You know the pit I’m in, so it don’t take an explanation. But I’m doing fine, feeling great, praising the Lord, but I’m wanting to move. He needs to move for me.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, let’s pray.
SPEAKER 04 :
Amen.
SPEAKER 06 :
Father God, I thank you for Gene. And I pray and ask that you would bring an answer to both of these prayers here. For the daughter to be able to get home on time. For Gene to get that employment, Father God, that would be fulfilling. And be what he needs there to take care of himself and his family. And Lord, you’ve heard an answer prayer on Gene’s behalf so many times. And I know you’re doing it again. So I’m just right now going to thank you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen. Is there a possibility that we could pray in a direction of her being able to take the children to a child care center or something that’s Christian-oriented? Is there a possibility that we could pray for that kind of an answer?
SPEAKER 04 :
Right now, she’s not in a financial situation. She got out of the situation of living with the guy. She finally moved out of that situation. She’s living in an apartment just close to where we live. So she’s out of that situation we were concerned about. But the problem is, you know, living so far south and being salaried, she can’t go until everything’s taken care of. She’s in a supervisory position. She makes good money, real good money. But it’s just a situation that the time she gets here, it’s pretty much already too late, you know. And I went out of this slime pit that I’ve been in for so long, and I know only the Lord can do that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I’ll tell you, if you do, you know, we grandparents, Gene, and we are grandparents. That is not our responsibility to watch the grandchildren all the time. Really? It is not. And it’s not even biblical. And so I’m just saying, if you would think of something else besides always taking care… And you have been so good. You and your wife, I’ll tell you, you have been the greatest grandparents. But you need to ask the Lord to break you free from that so you can go on with your own ministry. All right. That’s absolutely true. And so if she’s making good money, I’m going to pray that she will either get an increase or something that she can let those children go to a daycare center and Grandma and Grandpa can be free to do their own thing. You guys have worked all your life.
SPEAKER 04 :
We miss coming to your meetings. We miss you, too. We’re able to listen to you every morning on the radio. Good.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we’re going to pray God’s perfect will for you, Gene, and we know it’s going to be perfect for you.
SPEAKER 06 :
Hey, brother, I sure love you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Praise God.
SPEAKER 06 :
Tell the little lady I never squeezed for her.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, tell her to hide. God bless. God bless you. Bye-bye. Bye.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, I think that if people would realize that the Word has an answer. Now, if you hang into the Word and you decide, I’m going to see how this works. I’m going to cooperate with the Word. I’m going to give it my 100% all. Otherwise, I’m going to be destroyed anyway.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, that’s right. And here, when I was talking about in Jeremiah 32, Jeremiah goes on to say, Great and mighty are you, God. Great in counsel and mighty indeed. Now, here’s exactly, Gene just called. He needs some counsel and he needs something to happen. He says, I want God to start working. Well, here it is. Great in counsel. God is great in counsel. And we know that the spirits of the Lord in Isaiah 11 too say, He has given us the spirits of counsel and and wisdom and understanding and knowledge and revelation knowledge and might, we need to ask God for those spirits in us that we can receive great counsel and also mighty in deed. Deed is an action word. That means God’s going to work for us. And I pray that that deed would go forward for Gene in his situation and also for this precious friend who wrote this letter and said, you know, Darren, you say God is bigger than any problem I have. Oh, you precious one, I pray that you will begin to read the word and understand that it’s not what Darren says, but God says it in his word, that he is mighty.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I didn’t make it up.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right, Darren, you didn’t make it up. He is mighty. God is great and mighty. And I pray that you will begin to read the word and see that there is nothing impossible. No, your situation is not exclusive. And you’re not the only one in the world that doesn’t get your prayers answered. God created you to be part of that blessing that he wants for his people. And it says here, great in counsel and mighty indeed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men. That means wherever he looks, his eyes are open on every situation, Darren. And I love this scripture because Jeremiah is not in a good situation here and he’s still praising God in spite of it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, let me say this in a modern-day context. What you need to do is get a reign of word from God. Now, let me tell you street language, what that means. In other words, very plain, simple language. You need to know that you have read the word, obviously. You’ve spent time meditating. You’re asking God to teach you what it says. You’re saying, now, if this worked, I wouldn’t have a problem. See, now I approach it that way. I say, now God, if this worked, I mean, if it really worked, genuinely worked in the natural, I see it written on the page here where it says, going back again to Mark 11, 24, all things for which you pray and ask, Darren, you will receive. Now, believe you have received them and they shall be granted unto you. Let me quote it. Let me quote it exactly. All things for which you pray and ask, believe you have received them, that they should be granted unto you. Now, if you will spend the time meditating on those scriptures, and you can approach it by saying, Now, if this worked, man, I’d be in Fat City. I mean, I’d be there. I’d have my answer. Well, if you hang in there, God will speak into your heart until you turn a corner and that verse has faith built into it. He will put a substance of faith in your heart until you believe that. And you can hang on to the process, if you want to use that word, or the way it works. And you’ll say, I can’t see it with my eyes. Doesn’t matter. I’ve got it. I’m holding on to it in my heart. I’ve got it in the spirit world. And God can either give it to me or break his word. Because you’ll know that so well, that will be so firmly established. And folks, I want to tell you when it says all things, okay, what are things? Well, there’s healing things. There’s financial things. There’s things to do with relationships, children, grandchildren, job, professions, retirement. I mean, we could go down the line. So if you get that in your heart that God wants to answer you, but you need to know, first of all, and when I say a rhema voice, you need to know, God has personalized this thing to me. I mean, he answered me, Darren. He answered me.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s right. And it’s not Darren anymore. No. It’s God who’s going to bring it through for you.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, and it’s God that’s going to do it, and it’s going to work because he said it was going to work, not because I said it was going to work.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 06 :
Now, you see, I know that I know that I know he keeps his word. Some of you listen to me today. You need to get to that point to where all of a sudden that is so personalized to you. It’s no longer just words on a page. It’s no longer some guy on the radio you’ve never met saying, hey, this stuff’s going to work. It’s that you’ve got a personal relationship with him and you’re willing to stand in there and say, I mean, I heard the man. I heard Jesus. He spoke to me.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right. And you know what sin is? Sin is not believing in God, in what he can do for you. That’s sin. It says in Psalm 66, 18, if I regard sin in my heart, that means if I don’t believe what this word says, then God doesn’t hear me.
SPEAKER 05 :
That is a sin.
SPEAKER 03 :
It is a sin. A sin of unbelief. So we need to first of all say, Father God, forgive me for not believing this word that you wrote for me. I will, by an act of my will, believe every word that it has the power of God. Like our power packs say, Darren, our little power packs say, the power of God is in every verse of the word. And it truly is.
SPEAKER 06 :
And folks, I’m going to tell you, you can set your heart to be a believer. You can be a doubter. We don’t want you to be a doubter. You need to sit down with your Bible and start saying, I choose to believe. I declare that I’m a believer. I declare that I’m going to hold on to the word until it’s manifest in my life.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, in spirit of truth, if he lives in us, it says in John 16, 13, he will come and guide you into all truth. Do you hear that? Holy Spirit, if you ask him, Holy Spirit, guide me into all truth in my life here. Amen. I need your truth. I need your comfort. I need you to disclose to me things to come. He says here in the 13th verse, he is going to do that for you. So call upon him with the word, not just with wimpy prayers of self-pity, but with the word. Be confident. Cast not away your confidence because it has a great reward here. And Darren and I are so concerned for your welfare. We want you to win. We do. That’s why we’re here every day. And we desire for you to take hold of this word and chew it like Jeremiah did. Oh, Lord God, nothing is too difficult for you. Nothing.
SPEAKER 06 :
Amen.
