SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in our Victorious Faith services called, How to be Led by the Holy Spirit. And I believe this message is really helping you. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, How to be Led by the Holy Spirit. There’s the preached word, the sermons. Also, God can speak through other people. Maybe your husband, your wife. Sometimes you don’t want to hear from them. God, don’t use my wife. I’m tired of listening to her. Well, it might be exactly the person God wants to use. It might be your best friend. But God can speak to you through other people. Also, number four, he can speak to you through prophecy. Five through dreams and visions. Six through angels. Seven through God arranged circumstances. And this is where God just lines everything up. And like, wow, this is, it’s like that thing, right? Staring you in the face. This is God. God has put it all together. God arranged circumstances. Eight, your conscience. Now, I’ve heard some Bible teachers say your conscience is the voice of your spirit. It’s telling you this is right and this is wrong. The conscience. And then nine, the audible voice of God. The audible voice where you hear it with the physical ear. Now, I’ll tell you what the audible voice with the angels is. Those are rare. That doesn’t happen very often. Things like dreams and visions and prophecies, they’re not as rare, but they’re not something that you can have every day. You can’t say, I need to hear from God. I’m going to go to sleep and have a dream. God’s going to tell me. No. The thing is about dreams and visions, you cannot have them when you want them. And if you need an answer right now, you’ve got to be able to hear God in another way than through a dream or a vision or a prophecy. Number 10, through the still small voice of the spirit, still small voice of the spirit. That’s in remember first Kings chapter 19, 11 and 12. God was not in the fire. He was not in the wind, not in the earthquake, but in the still small voice. He spoke. That was first Kings 19. Now the still small voice of the spirit on the inside. This is getting close to where we’re talking about. But it’s still not the same. And I’ll go ahead and mention the last one. Number 11 is the inward witness of the spirit. Now, the inward witness is the number one way, the primary way, and the most common way God will always speak to you is by the inward witness. Now, the still small voice of the spirit inside you can be pretty frequent, and yet it’s not as common. It’s like on the inside, you just hear distinct words. For example, I remember I was walking across this way back college campus and they were talking about they were having summer missions. And inside my spirit, it wasn’t just the witness, but it was the voice because I heard inside. You’ve got to go. It was just very clear. Clear is crystal words. You’ve got to go. Now, that’s different than the way the Lord usually leads. And that’s by the witness. And that’s where we’re going to spend the rest of this evening is on the witness, because it’s the most common, regular way God leads. Now, let’s go to Romans chapter eight, verse 16. Romans 8, 16 says, The spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God, that we are the children of God. And so in Romans 8, 16, what does the Holy Spirit do? He bears witness. He bears witness with our spirit. What is a witness? When you’re in a courtroom and the judge is sitting at his desk and they call the witness to take the stand. What does the witness say? Now, the most important thing he says, it’s true. Yes, it’s true. Or he’ll say, no, that’s not true. And then he’ll go in and he’ll explain his side of the story. And he’ll explain all that he saw and all he knows. But the most important thing he’s going to say is yes or no. It’s true or it’s false. That’s what a witness does. A witness confirms or denies. confirms or denies. So what is the witness of the Holy Spirit? It is the Holy Spirit inside your spirit. Now you are a spirit. Now, you know, I think a lot of Christians know this. Most Christians know this, but you are a spirit man on the inside. The real you is a spirit, the inner man of the heart, the spirit of man living inside the body. James wrote the body without the spirit is dead. So the spirit is also the life and the breath of you. It’s your life, your breath. When your spirit leaves your body, your body falls to the ground, but your spirit is eternal. That spirit on the inside, when you’re born again, is connected to God. There is the umbilical cord between you and God that Adam had before he sinned. And you’ve also got God’s spirit living inside your spirit. Now, that’s a mystery that we don’t understand because Jesus said, I’m in you and you’re in me. How can you be in something and that something also be inside of you? It’s a mystery, but it’s truth. It’s the spirit of God living in you. So you are a spirit on the inside. Now, what does the Holy Spirit do? He bears witness with what? Our spirit. This takes me back. I’ve got to jump back to something I meant to say earlier. We need to be aware of the difference between being spirit led and being head led. Most people are head led, reason led, logic led. There are a lot of logical people and it’s good to get the facts. You should, when you’re trying to make an important decision, gather all your facts, lay them out there and say, this is this, this, look at all the facts. But the final decision is not based on which one looks the best. Which one by all the facts is there lined up in a row? You can say that’s the best option. No, the final decision has to be coming from the spirit on the inside, because sometimes what you see in the natural. is not the way it really is. And let me give you for an example, for example, um, you know, in the natural, the Holy spirit can help you make wise investments. I’ve heard so many testimonies. There was a man who listened to the teaching from Kenneth Hagan about being led by the spirit and the Holy spirit had spoken through Kenneth Hagan. If you have $50, God can help you turn $50 into millions. Well, this man had just about lost everything and all he had left was $50. So he got in his prayer closet and he prayed and started learning to listen to the Holy Spirit. Then he got involved in investments. But he would go as the spirit leads, not as what the professionals and the experts said you should do. And as he did that, he made millions. He would sometimes invest where the experts say, no, don’t do that. That one is sure to be bad. But God say, do it. That’s the right one. And the ex was saying, no, no, no, that’s fair. You shouldn’t call it. And the ex was to say, you should do this one. Now this is a sure winner. But in the end, the one they said was a sure winner was a loss. And the one they said was a sure loss was a winner. I remember Jesse Duplantis telling the same thing. He’s a preacher. And I just remember something about him telling, I don’t remember all the details, but it was like in the last few years when the stock market was really bad and his bankers and investors would tell him where to invest. And he’d say, no, I’m not going to do that one. I’m going to go over here. I’m going to invest here. And at the end of the year, whoever the experts were, the bankers or the investors came to him. You are the only one of our clients who made a profit to this year and you didn’t even listen to us. You went where we told you not to go and where we thought was a sure thing. Then people who invested in listening to us, they lost. And you were the only client that made a profit and you did it without following our advice. And they said, how did you do that? And he said, well, I just listened to God. And then his banker said, well, can you give us a few tips next time you hear from God? Tip us off when God tips you off. So what we’re saying is what looks good, God knows the future. You see, the experts only know the past. They only know the trend. But the trend can change tomorrow. And God knows the future. So, yes, get your facts laid out. But in the end, don’t make it based on logic. What did it say in Proverbs? Do not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. So some people are head-led, they’re reason-led, they’re logic-led. Some people are emotion-led. When they get angry, they’re going to blow up and they’re going to run out and say, I’m leaving this place. You know, they come in saying, God led me here, but they go out in a rage or in an offense. I’m getting out of here. They’re led by their emotions or a lot of people are money led their best deal led. What’s the best deal? Sometimes the best deal isn’t the best deal. And we’ve all had experience with buying something that was the best deal. And then it turned out to not be the best deal and it costs more. So what we’re saying is don’t be best deal led. Don’t be money led. Don’t be logic led. Don’t be circumstance led, but be spirit led. So in everything you lay it out on the table, but then listen to your spirit, the Holy Spirit in you. bears witness with your spirit, not with your head. with your spirit. And that’s where we have to become God inside minded. Okay. So we’re talking about the number one way is through bearing witness. Now, what is that witness? Again, let me say it’s a yes or a no. It’s a confirmation or denial. It’s usually just a strong sense on the inside. You know, we’ve all said things and done things like I knew I shouldn’t have done that. Well, why did you know you shouldn’t have done it? Because on the inside, there was the witness that you shouldn’t have done it, but you did it anyway. And so what is that? That’s the Holy Spirit bearing witness on the inside. We need to learn to just listen to that and follow it all the time. We don’t get into these. I knew I shouldn’t have done that. If we always follow that, we’ll always be right. As I have said, if you always follow the Holy Spirit, you’ll never make a mistake. You’ll never get into trouble. You’ll never make a bad deal, a bad decision, a bad choice. If you always follow the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit will always guide you in the right path. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his namesake. As we’ve talked about before, righteousness is the rightness of God or the right way of God. It’s always the best way. What you just heard was the continuation of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called how to be led by the Holy Spirit. And we will continue this message again tomorrow. And before I close, I have in my heart to do something I’ve never done before. And that is to highly recommend. A very close Christian brother of mine who owns a remodeling business called Specialized Upgrades. He has done work for me and he always goes above and beyond and does excellent work. And he is honest and trustworthy. In addition to all kinds of remodeling, he also does repairs, custom carpentry, window well replacements and landscaping, including fences and sidewalks. His name is David, and you can Google his business called Specialized Upgrades to read the many five-star reviews about his work. His contact phone number is 720-882-6546. Again, that is 720-882-6546. And when you call him, tell him Cherri sent you. Now, join me again tomorrow, and remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
