SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Praise the Lord. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning we are going to continue and conclude a message that I preached in our Victorious Faith services called The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the Benefits of Speaking in Tongues. So join me now in our live service for the conclusion of this message, The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the Benefits of Speaking in Tongues. The spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. This is what we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the spirit expressing spiritual truths and spiritual words. So what are we praying? We’re praying what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived. You’re praying for things not known. You’re praying for things not known. Hallelujah. And that is so important because there’s so much that we don’t know. And then 1 Corinthians 14, 2, for anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. That’s your personal prayer tongue to God. Indeed, no one understands him. He utters mysteries with his spirit, the secrets of God, the mysteries of God, those things that the heart and mind of God knows, but no one else knows. Hallelujah. But when you do pray in tongues to God, you can pray to interpret. 1 Corinthians 14, 13. For this reason, anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. When you pray in tongues, you can then ask God to give you the interpretation so that you can understand what you said. He may not always give it to you. Actually, more often he will not. For one thing, if you’re praying about other people, it’s none of your business. Bottom line, if you’re praying about somebody else, you’re praying for your children, your spouse, you like, I want to know what’s going on, God. It’s like none of your business. I’m dealing with them. So there’s a lot of things he won’t tell you because it’s none of your business. And then there are other things that are in regard to your future. And if he told you, you’d get in and mess everything up. And so he can’t let you interfere with what he’s working. He’s got things in process. Things are in the works. There’s a plan being carried out, being worked. And if he tells you, you’ll try to get there and make it happen. And you can mess up the whole thing. So he doesn’t tell you. So there’s different reasons. And sometimes it’s because your faith isn’t big enough. And we’re going to get to that one later. You don’t have enough faith. You just prayed about something that was, whoa, if you heard it, you’d be blown over practically. It’s like, what? I mean, like God’s going to call you to preach around the world and preach to millions. And you’re like, you’ve never gone out of town before. And yet God knows it’s not for today. That’ll happen 50 years from now. And if he told you now, you would be too frightened. You know, so it’s not for now. It’s something for the future. And he’ll tell you later. So a lot of this stuff, you’re not going to need to know, and it’s better off you don’t know. But anything you do need to know, and especially when you’re asking for wisdom with the situation, God, give me wisdom. What should I do? I’ve got this deal. I’ve got this situation. I need to make a decision. What do I do? You pray in tongues, and you then, I’ll get to this later, but then you believe God for the answer. And interpreting what you say is not necessarily always going to come out. Thus saith the Lord, thou shalt go down. And, you know, that’s not going to really be the way it happens. You’re not going to get an interpretation like that. More often, you don’t even realize you got the interpretation. You just got a good idea.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 01 :
Bottom line is that you finished your prayer time and you went out of your prayer room and you went to the kitchen and you went, got in the car and you went and drive down the street. And a little while later, I know what to do. Good idea comes and answer a solution comes. And that’s what to do in that situation. That’s it. You don’t realize you just got the interpretation of your tongues because you prayed in tongue saying, give me the answer. And it came later as a good idea. Good ideas are often interpretation of tongues that follow later. Very unspectacular, except you go into somebody and say, I just had a good idea. No, say, God gave me a good idea. Don’t say you had a good idea. You say, God gave me a good idea. God showed me what I should do. Don’t take credit because if you get a good idea, it wasn’t yours. It was God’s. If you get an answer to a problem, you weren’t smart enough to figure it out. God gave you the answer to that problem. And you just realized this was the interpretation of my tongues that I prayed half an hour ago, an hour ago, yesterday, a couple days ago. So follow later with the answer, the good idea. All right. So, yes, you can pray that you interpret. And then where it comes to your activities, your decisions, wisdom and guidance, God will give it to you. But he might not give you all the other stuff that you don’t need to know. Amen. All right, reason number nine, praying in tongues stimulates faith. Let me take this to Jude chapter 20. But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Now there’s a building up and it says your most holy faith. I heard a teacher bring out a revelation on this and you can see how it works for you. But there are levels of faith that You know, Jesus talked about, oh, you have little faith. Oh, you have great faith. What about most holy faith? Praying in the Holy Ghost. Praying in the Holy Ghost is using a faith that is pure. Like I said before, unselfish, no selfish motives, humble, pure, pure requests. And then faith that is undefiled with doubt and fear. I mean, you can be praying out for something that if your mind knew it, your mind would shake a whoa, and then you’d have doubts, fears. And there are times when you pray things, but you don’t have the faith to pray them and really believe and grab hold with your spirit because your head is saying, how is that ever going to happen? But when you pray in tongues, it’s impossible to doubt. You cannot doubt what you’re saying when you pray in tongues. So praying in tongues is undefiled prayer, undefiled with doubt, undefiled with selfishness and selfish motives. It’s pure, most holy faith. It is the highest level of faith because your mind doesn’t get involved. And so this is something we learned to do also then is that when you finish praying in tongues and you’ve had a prayer time and you’re closing your prayer time, you can say that in the close father, because remember Mark 11, 24, therefore, I tell you whatsoever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it. Believe you receive what you said in tongues, even when you don’t know what you said in tongues. Make a specific point to say, okay, Lord, I’m done praying now, but I activate my faith. I believe I receive what I asked for in prayer. I believe I have it now in Jesus name. Amen. And you actually activate your faith on purpose. Mark 11, 24. When you pray, believe you have received it. So when you finish praying in tongues, you say, God, I don’t know what I said, but I believe I receive everything I said by faith. In Jesus’ name, amen. That’s most holy faith because that’s undefiled by any doubt. Hallelujah. So most holy faith, when you pray in tongues, it’s the most pure and it’s the most undefiled. Reason 10, praying in tongues gives spiritual refreshing. Isaiah 28, 11 and 12. For with stammering lips. That’s the scripture I was trying to tell you. Stammering, stuttering. And another tongue. Will he speak to this people? Notice in Isaiah, he talked about tongues. Speaking in supernatural tongues. To whom he said, this is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest. And this is the refreshing. But they wouldn’t listen. Well, we are listening. Amen. We listen. And he says, what causes the weary to rest? What’s the refreshing? Speaking in an unknown tongue. So there is tongues for spiritual refreshing. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Well, we’ve covered all the 10 points there of why to speak in tongues, reasons for speaking in tongues. And I already shared with you, you can pray in tongues anytime, any place, and then spend time praising God and worshiping in tongues. And we did that a little bit this evening in our worship time as we closed worship. We spent a moment, a few moments to sing in tongues. And for me, this is, if you like to sing in the shower, or if you’re a person who just likes to burst out in a song, do it in tongues. It’s powerful. I do it all the time and I love it. And you just start singing out to the Lord and praising and worshiping the Lord in tongues. And let me say this. Singing in tongues is the quickest entrance into the glory. You want to get in the glory? You want to get that glory manifestation of God? Singing in tongues is the quickest, most direct access into the glory. I learned that from a teacher years ago. And boy, I do it. You know, you start singing in tongues and you just feel like you’re caught up in the glory. Healing? Yeah, you sing in tongues and you pray in tongues about everything. Finances, healing, all of it. And you get in the anointing and you receive from God and you get in the spirit. Again, tongues is the entrance into the spirit and the doorway to the supernatural gifts. So it’s going to be through his word, through his faith. It’s through the spirit altogether. But when you pray in tongues, God will give you the answers you need on how to receive your healing. Amen. Yes, you can get answers about anything in your life. Hallelujah. So I just wanted to close by sharing about worshiping in the spirit, singing to the Lord in tongues. If you sing in your known language, if you like to be a singer of songs, if you like singing in the shower, you don’t have to be a performer. No, you don’t. You might not sound good to anybody else, but you sound good to God. And make a joyful noise unto the Lord. But do it in tongues and you’ll find a catching up in your spirit and an accessing into the glory and the anointing and the presence of God. Singing and worshiping in the spirit is the quickest way to enter into the glory and the spirit and the anointing of God. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Let me just tell you real quickly how to receive it. You ask. And you believe you receive. How do you receive? Ask and believe you receive. And then start doing it by faith. Start doing it by faith. Amen. Let’s close. What you just heard was the conclusion of a message that I preached in our victorious faith services called the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the benefits of speaking in tongues.
